(00:06):
It's a big episode this week, a busy week for the Dawns as we
headed to Romania for our secondleg tie against FCSB on Thursday
night. Pre and post match reaction on
the way. Earlier today we were back to
league matters with Falkirk at Pittodrie.
More from that coming up as well.
Plus more summer transfer news as the Wheeling and dealing
window comes to a close in the late afternoon kick off.
Aberdeen Women went away to Montrose at Links Park and

(00:27):
updates from across the SPFL andHighly League.
And there's plenty of supportersnews to round things off too.
This is the AFC Donscast. The Dons were on their travels
and heading to Bucharest for Thursday night's Europa League
playoffs second leg at the National Arena.
The tie was deadly balanced after that dramatic comeback up

(00:48):
Pitaudry Esther Sokler's 90th mini equaliser, keeping our
European dreams alive and setting up a mouth watering
showdown in the Romanian capitalknown as Little Paris.
Our opponents FCSB came into thematch off the back of A2 nil
home defeat in the league, sitting 12th in the Romanian
Super Leaguer. But make no mistake, they've
hosted European giants like Manchester United and Lyon at

(01:09):
this venue before. So the stage was set for another
special night. Ahead of the match, Jimmy Tilene
spoke to Red TVI. Think like the league is one
thing and then this playoff games is always unique in one
way. It's a different kind of tension
around this game. It's like we played the cup
final last season. Now we have a playoff.
It's like similar like a cup. So it's a different kind of game

(01:31):
and different kind of emotion. It's still football, 11 versus
11 and two good teams who's going to challenge each other.
But again, we are, we are humbled for the game tomorrow,
but also strength, strong beliefin in that we can do it.
Aberdeen's Europa League adventure came to a bitter end

(01:52):
in Bucharest on Thursday night and that by a controversial and
harsh VER call that turned the tie on its head.
The Mitaline made five changes from the first leg as the Dons
took on Romanian champions FCSB and Aberdeen started brightly
inside 2 minutes. Graham Shinny's clever pass
released Alexander Jensen, whosecross found Adela Shish.
The shot was saved and Esther Soklers follower was somehow

(02:14):
kept out by goalkeeper Tarnevani.
The Romanians responded with a curling effort just white.
But it was Aberdeen creating thebetter chances, Dante Pavara
going close with a volley and Ashish causing problems in
midfield. But the night unravelled in the
41st minute as Mikolescu broke into the box.
He went down into no contact from Jensen.
After a lengthy VAR check the referee ruled the ball had brash

(02:35):
Jensen's hand and awarded a penalty harshly sending the
defender off for a second yellow.
Alaro converted from the spot toFCSB, won a lap at the break,
reduced to 10 men. Aberdeens hopes faded quickly in
the second-half. On 52 minutes Suit hammered home
a standing strike from 22 yards.Just 7 minutes later a lot of
strike again, his shot deflecting past Dimitar Meet off

(02:56):
for three nil. The Dons battled on.
Leyton Clarkson and Nikki Devlinboth went close but there was no
way back. Methof pulled off several fine
saves to keep the score respectable, yet the damage had
been done before half time. It finished FCSB 3 Aberdeen now
a scoreline that flattered the host and one that Lucy and Beta
leads men to do what might have been after a brave and promising

(03:16):
opening spell. Our European journey is not over
though, as we go forward in the UEFA Conference League.
Jimmy, just to start with, can we get your thoughts on the
game? I think we start the game well.

(03:39):
I think we did our learning points from the home game.
We were more balanced and more stable as a team and don't give
away some so many situations andalso almost there with our own
chances. So I think the the game was
quite equal. Then of course, the penalty and
the red cards have changed the dynamic of the game and we need

(04:02):
we have to win. So we try in the second-half to
to go for these two goals that we needed and but they were over
these two games. I have to say they were skillful
when they they win the transitions and punish was
really hard. So that that's how can summarise
the score two goals in finally in the second-half and then it's

(04:23):
difficult. So we still have things to to
grow as a team, how to manage the situations and the dynamic
of the game when you change to try to stay in the game a little
bit longer and give us this opportunity.
So this is something we must thethe staff, the players has to
grow and we have to keep learning from this point and to

(04:46):
keep this mature calmness like Ithink we did in the, in the
first half before the the red card.
But don't stress away in, in thesecond-half, like stay in the
game longer. The main talking point was
obviously the the penalty decision.
It seemed very harsh. What was your thoughts on it?
I haven't seen it again but whatI'm told it was a difficult 1 to

(05:07):
get to get against us and I haveto watch later but what they
told it was a tough one. The players did so well and in
the second-half when they went down to to 10 minutes, sorry
more in the last half hour, you must be pleased with the
togetherness that they showed toreally dig, dig in and test and
conditions. I think we can have how they try

(05:30):
and how they compete. And you see today also our
supporters were here and they pushed the the players.
And so I think the the heart andthe, the soul is there that
they're excited. We really try, but we have to
grow as in the management of thegame on the pitch, in situations
and and keep learning. So that's, that's the only way.

(05:53):
I think that's why it's so important to be in Europe.
Every year you more play these games, it's you barely control
the situations on the pitch. That's why I was quite pleased
before the penalty. I think we had learned a lot
from the last game at home. But still when the stress come
out, we we have to find a way that to balance ourselves with

(06:15):
the better. Over both legs there was the
players showed that they were really comfortable playing on
the European stage. That must bode well for the
Conference League games coming up.
Yeah. And I haven't think too much
about yet, but but we have to beoptimistic now and look forward
to that competition. But first of all, we have this
really important game now on Sunday, I guess fall to get
home. And just to mention on the fans

(06:36):
as well, they're back in both atPatodry and over here in
Bucharest was superb. They were outnumbered tonight,
but you could hear them singing right throughout the stadium.
I. Have to say it's, it's so
impressive how they support the club and the team and that's why
we always when, when you lose you if you want to give them
more but but this togetherness is so important for us in the
long term. And can you give us an update on

(06:58):
Shady Morrison, why he was not involved?
Tonight and the situation with him was up to speed last night,
late last night and we have a good shot me and Shayden and
then of course the club and we talked about situation and
destruction was too strong to beable to perform today so he was

(07:20):
allowed to travel and let's see what tomorrow can bring us.
And finally we have Falkirk on Sunday back up.
Tawdry. How important is it to get the
three points heading into the international break?
I think it's really important like we have some performance
now have been quite OK, but we don't get the results.
So we want to show everyone how that we are taking the steps and

(07:40):
also can transform the performance to results.
Thank you, Jeremy. Thank you so much.
Passports at the ready, we've discovered our opponents for the
UEFA Conference League league phase.
The Dons will face a challengingbut exciting mix of European
opposition at Pataudry, will welcome Ukrainian giant Shakhtar
Donesque, French sized Strasbourg and Armenian outfit
Noah. On our travels, we'll head to

(08:01):
the Czech Republic to take on Sparta, Prague to Greece for a
class with a Ek Athens and a Cyprus, where we'll meet a Ek
Larnaca. It's a draw that promises
glamour ties against some of Europe's established names, as
well as a real opportunity to progress against less familiar
opponents. Right, back to league matters

(08:55):
this afternoon as we look to getsome points under our belt
against league newbies Falkirk You Metaline gave us his
thoughts ahead of the match. Jimmy Quick turn around from
Thursday and Bucharest back hereat the Tawdry and League Action.
How have preparations been? It's been good.
I think we give some training bit later on the Friday, good
recovery session and a good session yesterday and we used

(09:19):
the squad. Everybody's in the game rhythm,
so I think we don't tell any excuses today to be sharp and
fast. Yeah, a tough start in the
Premiership so far. Just how important is it to get
that first victory and and threepoints on the board before the
international break? I think it's super important for
us to get the performance that we that we feel that we deserve
a good result and creating more chances and find the rhythm in

(09:41):
the team. So it's a really important game
for us to show the show our fansand show ourselves that we are
get the winner for the league now and and perform really well.
Falkirk back in the Premiership? We've earned plenty of plaudits
under John Mcglenn. What do you expect today from
the the visitors? I think they do well.
They have an energetic team. They they overload the the box,

(10:03):
a lot of runnings and arriving to Boston behind the processes,
they've done really well. It's hard to promotion and we
have to be sharp and match them in the energy and also at home,
show our qualities and and the rhythm of our team.
Three changes to the side today from from Thursday night and
come Leighton Clarkson, NicholasMilanovic and Kazuni Yengi.

(10:24):
What are your thinking behind the changes?
It is the the we play not so some some hours away and we have
to show now that we are fresh energy and start the game really
quick. Thank you.
Good luck today. Thank.
You so much. For the second time in just
three days, Avar decision reduced Aberdeen to 10 men and
once again it proved costly. The Dons slipped to A1 nil

(10:47):
defeat at home to Falkirk this afternoon.
Nikki Devlin captained the team but his afternoon ended in
controversy after a strong firsthalf where Aberdeen repeatedly
tested goalkeeper Scott Bain. Devlin was shown a straight red
card following Avar review of his challenge on Miller just
before the break. He left the Dons facing another
half of football with 10 men. Despite that set back we created
opportunities. Kiskin and Milanovic and Yankee

(11:09):
all came close but Bain stood firm in the Falkirk goal.
Substitute goalkeeper Hogarth then replaced Bain midway
through the second-half, but it was the visitors who find the
breakthrough on 75 minutes. Neat passing between Wilson,
McKeever and Tate sliced open the Donzas defence allowing
Wilson to Firelow and Ermitov for the only goal of the game.
They wear debuts from the bench for Marco Lazitic and Keenan

(11:30):
Bilalovich as Aberdeen pushed tofind elite equaliser but Falkirk
held on to claim the three points.
So time out Petaudry, Aberdeen, now Falkirk, won.
I mean defeat today against Falkirk.
What are your thoughts after that one?
Of course our performance right now is not strong enough or good
enough to decide the result. We have to do better and that

(11:52):
responsibility is on me and my staff as a manager and we need
now to use this international break in a good way to find a
way to to help the players and guide them out of these
situations so we can start winning games.
What do you think went wrong today?
Again, I think like some decision making and I think we

(12:17):
should. Then that's my job to help them
be more clear in some areas of the pitch and be more calm.
I think of course you can feel the pressure when you have 0
points and score zero goals, butthat pressure is on me and they
have to now I have to support the players to find a way to to
win the games. We obviously spoke before the

(12:38):
game. There was a game on Thursday,
quick turn around. Do you think perhaps that was a
factor in the game? Absolutely not.
I think the game, we start the game quite OK before the red
card. It was not perfect.
It was quite OK, It was quite stable.
But anyway, even if we're one man down, I think we can find a
way to take some out from this game and and keep a clean sheet

(13:02):
and and get an opportunity in a set play of transition.
So still we have work to do, howwe can help the players to to
stay calm in the situation and working a little bit more better
as a team out on the pitch. The red card was obviously a a
turning point in the game where you're relatively pleased with
with how things were going up until that point and, and do you
feel it it changed the game, that decision?

(13:25):
You know, like when we have start the season like we've done
with the with the the result we have so far, for me, it's like
it's a part of it, but but it's no excuses.
It's still we have to do better as a as a team during these
games to deserve more. So we have still things to do
and it's no excuse about the game on 1st day and and the red

(13:48):
car. You mentioned a chance to
regroup over the the international break.
How do you turn things around after a frustrating start?
That's why we need to stay calm and focus on the right way and
the right things and and keep the belief in what we're doing.
But of course we need to adjust things right now because it's
right now we don't work as we want and we need to rebalance
the team. And just finally, deadline day

(14:09):
tomorrow. Are you expecting a busy day?
I know the club and recruitment, everybody's working really hard
to. We have some ideas we want to do
and we have tried to do now in this window.
So let's see. I can imagine it's quite busy
today and tomorrow before the window close.
Thank you. Thank.
You. Let's meet you.

All the latest transfer news theAFC Don's Cars Transfer Centre.
Aberdeen have completed the signing of highly rated left
back Mitchell Frame who arrived from Celtic on a four year deal
for an and disclosed fee. The 19 year old Ayrshire
defender is a youth international with Scotland
having featured at both Under 17and Under 19 level.

(15:15):
He rose through the ranks at theCeltic youth Academy and made
his senior debut in the Champions League during his
victory over Feynard back in 2023.
I'm a left back, but I'm I like to get followed as much as I
can. I'm quite an attacking left
back. I like to go try and get crosses
and get as much assists as possible.
But I'm also, I like to defend and I take pride in defending.

(15:36):
You know, I like to go 1V1 with players and I like to take pride
in getting the one V1 and comingout on top.
Yeah, as it's really exciting. You know, like you said, it's
the next step into your like adulthood, you know, to go and
move away and have your own flatand look after yourself.
So yeah, I'm one fault. Shaden Morris has set for a move
South of the border to Luton Town.
The 23 year old has been strongly linked with a switch to

(15:58):
Kenilworth Rd, with the report suggesting the Hatters are
closing in on a deal ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.
Luton showed serious interest inMorris during the summer, having
two bids of over half £1,000,000turned down.
Since joining the Dons from Fleetwood Town in 2022, Morris
has become a key player, rockingup 13 assists and five goals and
49 appearances last season, playing a crucial part in

(16:19):
Aberdeen's Scottish cap triumph. However, his omission from
Thursday night's Europa League playoff defeat against Rumanian
champions FCSB has only fuelled speculation.
As he heard from Jeremy Tilene earlier, Modus was left out due
to the intensity of transferred interest.
He said he spoke with Modus before the match and agreed the
distraction was too great, with the player now allowed to travel
for talks. Sky Sports's Anthony Joseph

(16:40):
reported annex that a deal between Aberdeen and Luton has
been agreed, with the Hatters now firm favourites to secure
his signature. Aston Villa have opened talks
over A7 figure move for Aberdeenteenager Fletcher Boyd.
Negotiations are undersued to beongoing with the Don set to land
a significant package, includinga number of performance related
add-ons if the deal is completedbefore Monday's transfer

(17:01):
deadline. Boyd, just 17, burst onto the
scene two years ago by scoring his first two senior appearances
against Livingston and Hibs. While his first team
opportunities have been limited since he has already featured 3
times for Aberdeen this season. Villa already boasts a number of
young Scottish prospects in their Academy alongside Scotland
captain John McGinn, one of their established first team

(17:23):
stars, The Dons are still expected to move for both an
attacking midfielder and a striker before the window shuts.
And disappointing news for Dons fans, Rangers have confirmed the
signing of striker Boy Miowski from Chirona in a deal with up
to £4.2 million. The Ibrox side will pay an
initial fee of around 2.6 million, with a further 1.6
million tied performance for based add-ons.

(17:44):
Mayawski has been penned paper on a deal until 2029, returning
to Scottish football just one year after leaving Aberdeen for
La Liga. The North Macedonian
international scored 44 goals and 98 appealances for the Dons
has straggled in Spain, finding the net only four times in 23
outings. The only positive for the Dons
is we'll get a payout in the region of 260,000 lbs as we're

(18:06):
due 10% of the initial fee Rangers are paying for them.
And last week we told you about the return of Maya Christie on a
one year contract to Aberdeen woman.
She spoke to Red TV earlier in the week.
Maya, it's a pleasure to officially welcome you back to
to Colmar Park and welcome you back in as an official Aberdeen
player again. How's it feel to have it finally
done? I'm delighted with it.

(18:29):
So far so good. I'm really enjoying training and
being back with be back with thegirls.
Certainly a unique way to to rejoin the club after kind of
being involved in virtually the entirety of pre season.
How has that been for you? I think it's been good.
Yeah. It's been a long wait, but I'm
glad to finally get it done. I've enjoyed it.

(18:49):
Yeah. I've just loved everything.
About it, you come back after a couple of years in Edinburgh,
obviously at Hebbs recent recently Champions.
You must feel like you come backa better player for that
experience. No, definitely.
I think being in that professional environment, you
see small changes every day being in and around other other
good players, so I think that's definitely helped and hopefully

(19:10):
I can become even better being back here.
Does the women's programme feel a wee bit different how it is
now than how you left? It's probably taking a few a few
steps. No, definitely.
I've seen improvements since dayone being back in.
Keep improving and yeah, can only get better from you are.
You enjoying those those higher standards?

(19:31):
Obviously with Scott so experience, just feel like
everything's going in the right direction.
No, definitely. Everything is going in the right
direction. Standards are up.
That's what expected now. So yeah, just just everything
about it, training, technical, tactical, fitness wise,
everything's went up. You played on Sunday against
Glasgow, Say officially a try list also you still got, you

(19:51):
still got your 20 minutes at theend.
How do you feel that went? And they must be taking a bit of
positivity from that performance.
Definitely there was a lot of positives.
I felt like it was hard for themto breakthrough us and that's
something if you keep a clean sheet then all you need to do is
score a goal, so it's definitelya positive to take into other
games. And they set things up nicely
for Sunday. Links Park, 4:00 Montrose away.

(20:12):
It's a big game. Yeah, definitely.
It's a big game. We know how they play and I
think we just need to work on that, deny their threats and
again, just try to keep that clean sheet and hopefully a goal
comes out of it. There's obviously games like the
Hibs games, start of the season and Glasgow City where they're
not three hits, but the pressure's not honest to to
really go and pick up the three points.
But Montrose probably feels it'sone of those games where we take

(20:33):
advantage of it and try and get the win.
Definitely. I think it's always a battle
against them, even when I was here before.
It's always a tough battle. Both teams always want to beat
each other, which it should be. But yeah, no, it's definitely
going to be a hard game, but something that, you know, we
need to work on and hopefully get 3 points.
Welcome back again. Thank you.

(20:54):
More Don's news straight after this.

Did you have a stalk on the whole movie?
Did you? Actually, I was lightheaded.

(25:35):
We've had a brief intermission because the Uber Eats has
arrived. In that 32nd pause, Tony leans.
Over to he goes. But did you News Time and a
couple of our first team squad have been called out for their
national teams for the World Cupqualifiers in September.

qualifier matches against Spain and Georgia and Toby Kiskinen
has been named in the Finland squad for their matches against
Norway and Poland. Meanwhile, Rodrigo Vetosa has
been called out to the Latvia and the 19 squad for two
friendly matches with Malta nextmonth.
Aberdeen's Development 11 We're back in action in the KDM
Evolution Trophy on Tuesday night.
Facing League 1 opposition in Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

(26:19):
The Yang Dons went into the gamelooking to bounce back from
their opening day defeat to Peterhead and they started
brightly just 9 minutes in. Ryan Dinkin, making his first
appearance since a lone spell with Queen's Park, was catch
short by injury, whipped in a perfect delivery for Tristan
Steven. We lost a left foot strike into
the top corner to give Aberdeen the lead but Cali Thistle
responded quickly. Liam Soul drove past a couple of

(26:40):
challenges before sliding a low cross into the path of Chan
Kazimba, who smashed the equaliser in on 12 minutes.
From then on the host began to dominate so was a constant
threat, forcing last ditch defending from Lewis Carroll and
Dylan Lobbin to keep the side level at the break.
The second-half followed a similar pattern with Inverness
turning up the pressure so rattled the post just after the

(27:01):
restart before Carly eventually broke through.
Zumba grabbed his second on 76 minutes with a composed finish
and Sue after completed his hat trick by arriving at the back
post to convert Archie Kerr's cross.
Substitute Billy Mackay added a late 4th, lurching onto a clever
pass from Longstaff to seal a 41V for Inverness in their home
match against FCSB, but Todry was at its very best.

(27:23):
A parked Red Army roared Aberdeen onto a spirited
second-half comeback that kept the tie alive in front of wall

A stunning full stadium display lit at the ground that is out of
a collaboration between Ultras Aberdeen, the display team and
the AFC Fans Project have been working hand in hand with the
club since its launch last summer.
The Fans Project has helped unite supporters in a collective

(27:46):
effort to transform Pittodrie into a fortress of colour,
energy and atmosphere. Now the project is stepping
things up. Don's fans are being invited to
become part of the fabric of Pittodrie itself by contributing
to a huge new surfing banner. The design will feature the
names of Aberdeen supporters past and present, but a 10 LB
donation per name. You can make sure your place is
woven into the history of the club and the more raised, the

(28:08):
bigger and more spectacular the banner will be.
It's said to be proudly and failed and displayed at
Pittaudry throughout the season. For more information or to
submit your name, you can e-mailfansproject@afc.co.uk.

I'm a terrible. Judge of character.
If you've done wrong, she'll be punished.
Called calculated murder. Are we listening to the same
evidence? You knew exactly what you'd
done. I was scared.
I've had a change of heart. Self defence you're not.
Listening. No, I'm listening.

(28:51):
But I don't agree with that. It doesn't feel scared.
On the charge of. Murder.
What is your verdict? Series 2 of the Jury streaming
now on Channel 4. Sunday marked a crucial day for
Aberdeen women as they make the short trip to Montrose looking
to kick start our campaign with our first points of the season.

(29:13):
Historically, Aberdeen have enjoyed strong for Menakis.
Before April's one nil defeat sealed by a late Demi Taylor
strike, the Dons had won four straight matches at Lynx Park.
Our last victory there came in January 2025 with goals from
Chloe Gover and Hannah Stewart. Who during a 2 and win?
Ironically it was Holly Daniel, now a Don, who scored Montrose's
goal that day. So how did we fare today?

(29:35):
Aberdeen woman claimed our firstwin of the season with a superb
2 nil victory over Montrose at Links Park this afternoon.
The Dons had to wait until deep into first half stoppage time to
make the breakthrough, but it was worth it.
Tony Lee Finnegan bravely charged through a crowded
penalty area to meet Tobin's delivery, heading beyond Perry
to put Aberdeen one nilap just before the break.
Scott Blue's side carried that momentum into the second-half

(29:58):
and it was summer signing Alex Clark who stole the show after
an energetic performance. She was rewarded with her first
Aberdeen goal, racing onto KerryBeatty's through ball, rounding
the keeper and slamming home to steal the points for the
visitors. They were welcome returns on the
bench too, Holly Daniel making her first competitive squad
appearance since joining in Juneand Maya Christie back in an
Aberdeen line out for the first time since May 2023.

(30:21):
Montrose, who had impressed witha four one win at Motherwell the
previous weekend, were frustrated throughout and rarely
tested Katie Cox in the Aberdeengoal.
When they did, Cox stood firm, denying McDonald Nagu at late on
to preserve the clean sheet fulltime at Lynx Park.
Montrose nil. Aberdeen too Scott.
Does that feel like maybe the season's just started today?

(30:42):
No, not, not at all. I think we, we knew we had two
really tough fixtures to start our season with obviously Hibs
away on the first day and then Glasgow City.
And I think we, we performed well against Glasgow City in the
main. However, we could talk this week

(31:04):
about the fact that we've still lost two games.
So we, we understand that the three points kind of means 4
points perspective that we, we've started.
But I think we, we started really well last week.
We were organised and I think that kind of gave us the the
base for the the win today. Hopefully I'll give the girls
such a big left coming here. It's a place that typically it's

(31:26):
a big game. For us to come here and get the
win means a lot. Yeah, I mean, obviously the the
games last season against them here were really, really tough.
We lost against them. We've we've beaten them.
But you know that when you know you're going to play against
Montrose and you you want to winthe game, you know how much hard
work you're going to have to putin because they do.

(31:48):
They're really well organised. They've got some quality as well
in terms of getting in behind you and pace on the transition.
And we were aware of that today and we trained against it this
this week. So I was pleased with the clean
sheet. You can see the the new faces
are really beginning to settle in now.
KA Alex Abbey in particular maybe?

(32:09):
Yeah, I think yeah, they they obviously are going to take a
few games in. The also majority of them didn't
get the full pre season and stuff like that.
So it does take a little bit of time to bed players in.
But yeah, very happy with them. Gives us a wee bit of a platform
now. Looking at partying next week.
It'll be a tough game. We say it every week, though,

(32:30):
with the the the every single game is is going to be a tough
game for us. You know that you're going to
come across the teams in that sort of so-called top five very
often. And they'll be, it'll be very
difficult to to to get into a run of, of, of wins in this, in
this league this season because of that.
So yeah, looking forward to the game next week now that we've

(32:51):
got those three points behind us.
All right, we're on to it. Thanks, Logan.
Strap in. Oh my goodness.
On your marks. Get set boot.
There may be trouble right here.Let's thought you.
Ran it. Good morning.
Set the time off no. Worries.
That's all I am here. What a mess.

(33:11):
Oh, I'm standing up. Don't.
Panic. Just hard and we was the only
one quite like that before close.
One eye, it's a blinder. Stunning.
Not about the baking. About the vibe.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
