Avec passion, Philippe retrace le parcours d’HECO — née d’une recherche universitaire en génie de la construction — et explique comment une simple tige de chanvre peut devenir un puits de carbone et une solution concrète à la décarbonation du bâtiment. On découvre le potentiel du chanvre comme matière première : sa croissance annuelle, sa capacité de séquestration rapide du CO₂, et ses multiples dérivés — fibre textile, laine isolante, et surtout béton de chanvre, mélange de chènevotte et de chaux naturelle.
L’épisode plonge ensuite dans la science du matériau :
