Er hat zahlreiche Bücher zum Antisemtismus veröffentlicht, u.a. das sechsbändige "Handbuch des Antisemitismus" (als Nachschlagewerk online). Wolfgang Benz ist Unterzeichner der so genannten "Jerusalemer Erklärung zum Antisemitismus", in der eine Neudefinition des Begriffs "Antisemitismus" vorgeschlagen wird. Das Gespräch gibt klare Antworten darauf, was Antisemtismus historisch und aktuell bedeutet und wurde 1999 aufgezeichnet.

He has published numerous books on anti-Semitism, including the six-volume ‘Handbook of Anti-Semitism’ (available online as a reference work). Wolfgang Benz is a signatory of the so-called ‘Jerusalem Declaration on Anti-Semitism’, which proposes a new definition of the term ‘anti-Semitism’. The interview provides clear answers as to what anti-Semitism means historically and currently and was recorded in 1999
