‘In that moment when you can stay with your feelings and not leave yourself, that’s where it starts. And that is so hard to do, so instead, we stick our hand into a bag of chips over and over and over again until they’re gone, or we feel sick or we finally come to, wondering where the heck we are and what just happened.’
The question posed to me by a client that is the basis of this week’s episode was: “What do you do when you’ve always used food as your source of joy?”
In part one of this two-parter, I cover ways our relationship with food may have formed in childhood, indicators of an unhealthy relationship with food, and what it takes to tune into our body when we really want to bolt and numb with food instead. What happens when we don’t allow ourselves to use food for comfort?
If you struggle with your relationship with food and feel lost with how to break free, my hope for this episode is that it will shed some light for you, you will begin to do some searching and uncover those deeply embedded roots that have formed your relationship.
I had so much to share, so I split it into 2 episodes! Be sure to tune in to next week’s episode (Ep. #10) for the second half.
This stuff fires me up and I am SO passionate about helping women have that breakthrough that will lead to a life of food freedom once and for all.
