(00:10):
Hey everybody and welcome to Breaking the Rules, the end of pom-poms.
I know you guys are like, what the fuck? Like where has she been? What is going on?
So I'll take just a couple of minutes and bring you guys up to speed. My life has been insane.
(00:32):
About a month ago, it was about three Three weeks ago, it was a Monday,
our son shipped out, he left that Monday, and so that was like the start of
the emotional roller coaster.
And then Tuesday, we took our dog into the vet,
and we really thought that she's like 14 years old, and we really believed that
(00:56):
her kidneys were shutting down, like we knew something was seriously wrong because of her symptoms.
So we called on Monday night
and got her in on Tuesday morning and when
we took her in we were like prepared if
we would have to put her to sleep because she
is older and you know
(01:17):
I mean we we know that she had been
put on some new medications and I was really
fearful that they were attacking a lot of her organs so we get in there we find
out that she had a really bad had internal infection and mass and they hadn't
even found it on her blood work just three weeks before that for her annual checkup.
(01:42):
So they took her into life-saving surgery and as we're walking out of the vet,
you know, tears streaming down our face, I'm trying to get a hold of my mom
and And I couldn't get a hold of her.
So I called the neighbor to go over and check.
And we found out that my mom had had a stroke.
(02:04):
And I don't want to cry, so I'm trying really hard to hold in my tears.
She was pretty bad, and my husband and I went immediately and got her to the hospital.
I am the one that lives the closest and is around the most out of the three girls.
So I am really her primary caretaker right now.
(02:28):
And so it just really put a lot
of extra stress and work on me
which I don't mind at all but it was
just too much to keep up with podcast content because
to be honest I wasn't able to even keep up with watching the episodes as I should
so listening to podcasts driving back and forth and being able to grab some
(02:51):
clips was about all I could get done and so I just wasn't able to deliver like I would want to.
So I sat down with Nick and kind of thought about where I wanted to go with
the podcast going forward because I know that my life is kind of changing right now.
I will be definitely taking care of her more and being up there more.
(03:16):
So I wanted to do something that I thought would be better for even the audience.
So we're not going to recap episodes anymore. We're going to talk about the
episodes, 100%. I'm going to talk about episodes.
He's going to be joining me for several of these episodes whenever we do them.
But we're going to do more like a check-in and headlines, talk about what's
(03:41):
going on, do a shorter podcast,
so like 15, 20-minute headline podcast where we talk about what's going on,
what has been said But on podcast,
we'll definitely do a short thing where we talk about a short episode where
we talk about the episodes that aired that week and, you know, what we think,
(04:04):
but not like the full recap where we go through scene by scene and line by line
talking about what they're doing.
It just like I can sit down and do these recaps or do these headline episodes
without a lot lot of work because I definitely stay on in the know and up in
(04:26):
all the news that's coming out.
So with that being said, I'm really, really glad to be back with you guys this
week. And this is going to be a Friday episode.
So I'll release this one on Friday. I'm going to try and release another one on Monday.
I'll definitely release a Sunday if something happens over the weekend that
(04:46):
I want to tell you guys about.
But if not, we'll do like a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, maybe.
And the Wednesday will be the episode, the one where we talk about the episodes. So...
The first thing, I guess, is the big elephant in the room that VPR has been put on pause.
TMZ and I think it was Deadline reported that VPR is not going to start filming like it normally does.
(05:15):
Usually for the past, you know, 11 or 12 years, they have began filming in the summertime.
Times so they usually start filming you know may june and
go through august september depending on
what's going on they are not going
to pick up in may june this year so i
(05:36):
think that just is telling us they're not going to pick up right now they're
saying it's because the cast needs a break i've seen a lot of stuff even a comment
on reddit that said that the pause is because of the james allegations and the
investigation against him.
I have not heard that, and you guys know I know a lot about the James investigation
(05:58):
and those allegations, so I have not heard that, but I am doing some digging on that accusation.
I just think that they don't have a good show right now, and I think they're
waiting until the dust settles a little bit. Do I think it's a good idea?
No. These people are not really friends anymore. I mean, you have Tom and Tom,
(06:23):
who are definitely friends.
And sorry, you have Tom and Tom that are definitely friends.
And then you have Sheena and Lala that are now friends. But other than that,
these people are not friends with each other.
I know you guys think Katie and Ariana are like ride or dies,
but they're ride or die show friends.
She didn't even tell her about Chicago. And that's as a business partner,
(06:48):
not even as a friend, but as a business partner.
She didn't tell her about her other things that she had going on.
So that's not a true friendship there. Stassi and Katie is a true friendship.
So I would love to hear Stassi's thoughts on this.
So I do have a subscriber piece on the Instagram now where I I listen to the
(07:11):
Patreon podcast, and I give you guys recaps on those.
So if you follow us on Instagram, you can subscribe for 99 cents,
and I give you guys the lowdown.
Her and Beau talk about the valley, and I gave some tea on that.
So I definitely will pass on any information.
If she does talk about it, I'm sure they're probably going to touch on it at some point.
(07:37):
The other big elephant in the room is.
The valley reunion. I need to get some like sound cuts made so I can have like,
crying dogs or something like.
I'm super sad about this. I think that it opens up the opportunity and this is confirmed.
(07:59):
There will be no valley reunion.
But I just feel like it opens up the opportunity for the cast to make up their own narrative.
So if there's problems going Instead of facing them head on with the cast on
the reunion and having those questions answered and having those confrontations,
they're just going to start meeting up and having dinners again.
(08:22):
And I know that sometimes in the dinners they have confrontation,
but I feel like it's slighted. It's not real.
It's not as great as it should or could be when it comes to a reunion.
And you guys know what I'm talking about. And he takes the best questions that
have been asked over, you know, the season,
and they compile those and create great narrative for a compilation that kind
(08:45):
of puts a bow on the end of a season.
And even some cast that I talked to, I talked to several cast on the Valley
privately, and several cast have told me that they feel like there is a lot
of things unresolved, and we're going to feel that during the finale.
The article that talks about the VPR pause, though, also says this will not
(09:11):
affect, in quotations, the Valley season two production.
And even the cast is unaware of the season two production schedule.
So I'm very anxious to see how that's gonna go.
I don't know. I can tell you that the reason that the Valley reunion did not
(09:35):
take place, it was scheduled. There was a reunion scheduled.
It was not favorable to the cast.
And I'm saying this very lightly. I'm saying what I can.
It was not favorable to the cast. So there was a lot of negotiations happening
and they didn't pan out the way that they should have.
So that sucks. Ducks, you suck, Bravo, for not delivering that reunion to us
(10:00):
because I feel like as viewers,
especially as high as the viewing is on this, we wanted it. We definitely wanted it.
Let's hope that the cast doesn't let us down and they dive right into answering
the stuff they want answered as soon as they pick up cameras. is.
(10:23):
Stagecoach happened. The shirt. Jenny Ting.
Rachel did not run into any of the PR cast as much as we all wanted her to,
because I feel like we did all want her to accidentally run into someone.
(10:44):
Sorry, I think I got my throat clear. I've
been fighting this coughing cold for like the past two months
so and I say coughing cold but it was like COVID and then the flu so it has
given me this raspy awful like dark voice too so I hate it anyway the shirt um,
(11:10):
It's not Ariana's shirt, guys. It's from Urban Outfitters is what she said, the final say.
I know she said quite a few things, and you guys caught that.
I mean, if it's something I own already, it may take me a second to tell you
what it is, and I'm not trying to take up for her.
But I just feel like we're nitpicking on every little thing.
(11:34):
Granted, it was 100% uncanny pointing out that she was wearing that shirt.
Funny, crazy. I don't think it was intentional.
I think stagecoach, cowboy shirt, it just kind of goes together,
but I don't think it's Ariana's shirt. I just think it's a funny skit.
She did address the dating rumors because there is some dating rumors about
(11:59):
her with a Washington dude from Spokane.
And you guys know that I used to live in Washington, used to live in the Seattle area and worked there.
My husband was stationed at Fort Lewis for quite some time.
And so I reached out to some friends of mine there that still work in the Tacoma,
(12:19):
Seattle area and asked if maybe they know anyone or of his investment group.
So more to come on that. We'll see.
It's just the great thing about me. I have literally got roots in like four major cities in the US,
so it makes it a little bit easier for me to maybe put a feeler out or to get
(12:44):
somebody to, you know, go talk to somebody or go to a show or see something maybe.
I love it though. It makes for great podcast content.
Ariana and Tom did respond to Rachel's lawsuit.
I loved, if you guys follow the Bravo docket, please tune in to their episode on this.
(13:10):
They're going to have a follow-up where they talk about Ariana's response because
they really only got to talk about Tom's mostly.
But I will say that I hit them up privately in message because there's one thing
that's in question about the way that his loggers are responding to Rachel,
and it's regarding the communication and the way that the eavesdropping charge is put against him.
(13:38):
And they're asking for dismissal because of a communication, citing communication.
And the reason they're citing that is because when you record a FaceTime,
there is no sound to the FaceTime.
So even though he recorded it, there's
no real sound to it so he's like
trying to like be vague about it and be like so it can't be eavesdropping i
(14:01):
feel like this is such a tom sandoval thing to say to in response to this it
just made me laugh and it is crazy that a lawyer wrote that up but i guess you
do what your client once,
and it may be the only defense they have.
Ariana's response is a little bit more,
(14:24):
legal and better to read. She does, it is rather long.
So it'd be ready for quite the nightcap if you sit down to read this.
The footnotes are, she kind of calls out, she shows some text messages from,
and I'm guessing the one is to Logan.
She calls it daddy, but I'm sure Logan is daddy.
(14:46):
And she's basically telling him that, you know, she recorded it with her phone
on his phone. and then sent it to Rachel.
And so she's admitting that she distributed the video to Rachel,
but I don't think they would have any type of charge there or,
and I'm to say charge, but it's not even really a, it's not a legal case in
(15:10):
that sense. It's only civil.
So there's no real charges against anyone.
It's a civil case. It's about pride and money and, you know,
making sure the public knows this person's right and this person's wrong in
the eyes of the law or civil court.
(15:30):
And I don't know. I just, it went on and on.
She talked about deleting the video or Tom deleting the videos from her phone.
So even in the text message
that she shares with Rachel where
you know she's like you're dead to me don't ever
(15:51):
talk to me again you you fucking rat you can't
even see where she sent the video there so it is kind of weird to me that we
say and she may have gone back and deleted those when she got the cease and
desist from all places on there from Rachel's lawyer when they sent out the cease and desist.
(16:11):
But, you know, it just, I don't know, it was weird that it wasn't there.
And it was weird that Tom, she said, she made sure to say that he didn't just
delete them, but he also deleted it from her deleted items folder.
It was very, very particular, the things that she was saying.
(16:32):
It was not at all like, they're just deleted. It was like, they're deleted.
And Tom deleted them, and he deleted them while running down Ventura Boulevard or something.
I don't know. It was something like that.
(16:52):
Also, Tom and Rachel's lawyers are brothers. brothers, like brothers.
And they're not in the same firm. So I don't know if there's like bad blood
there and they took that on because
they really wanted to go against one another, but they're brothers.
It just seems like a conflict of interest to me. And I would want to know that.
Maybe they were approached by one of those brothers and that's the reason that,
(17:16):
they are being used. I don't know.
Just another weird detail, like weird, weird detail.
But she definitely says that Ariana says
that the lawsuit is dumb I guess that's
kind of all I mean if I'm being honest I see it in the eyes of the law I always
wanted to be a lawyer it was going to be four years in psychology and then a
(17:39):
lawyer degree and then a law degree but things didn't work out that way for
me I ended up with a four-year degree in nursing and three-year master's in
healthcare administration but
this is where I am.
I love my career. I love what I do, but I like to argue and I like to dig and
(18:00):
find points and arguments and ways that things are.
And I thought that Ariana's response was very well-written and very articulate
and pointed out some pretty great details in the fact that she didn't know about this affair.
She was not, like all of these things she's saying are pretty arbitrary and they're not real.
(18:25):
Tom's response on the other hand was, you know, she did this for more fame.
Like, come on, you did this because you wanted to get with her and you wanted that boost.
You know what that boost did to you with Ariana.
So I feel like you definitely wanted that again. Again, you like that feeling,
(18:46):
that rush of being in the public eye, whether it be good or bad.
And there's a lot of people like you. So it's, I mean, it is what it is.
Penny and something about her. So told you so, guys.
I told you so. I've been saying it for episodes and episodes on this podcast
(19:08):
that the real tea about something about her is, you know, that they're having
a lot of trademarking issues,
a lot of inspection issues and permitting issues.
And none of that is being talked about. The fact that Ariana didn't tell Katie
about being in Chicago and some of her absence delayed a lot of what needed
(19:31):
to be done to get them up and running and open.
So that's the stuff we should be seeing.
Tom and Tom were very gracious in the fact that they showed their arguments
between the two of them when Schwartz was like, what the fuck are you thinking
getting your nails done over opening this restaurant we've invested all this money into?
(19:52):
And I'm sure that Haiti would have likely done the same.
And it's just almost history repeating itself.
But guess what? The ladies wouldn't let us see it.
Kind of makes me angry. Like, they're riding this wave that they are so wonderful
and so great and can do no wrong that they don't want to show us any bad.
(20:17):
And it's not entertaining to me.
That's not what i want to watch and i
i don't want to hear about the good stuff
in the press and that's what's happening because you know brock hit the after
show and was like listen i pulled the permits i know that penny and her husband
(20:40):
the lawyer have the trademark of something about her so they need to be changing
the name to Once Upon a Tom,
which I thought was a slap in the face.
But that's the stuff we want to hear about. And I mean, come follow the TikTok
page or Instagram page, by the way. We've been getting a lot of bans.
(21:05):
NBC banned us recently and Shadow banned us on TikTok.
Talking, the only reason I know it was NBC is because they copyrighted a clip
that I had put up of the VPR episode that had previously aired.
And basically the episode, the clip was the one where Sheena was talking to
(21:28):
Lisa about dancing with the stars and Ariana being her backup dancer.
And you guys know everybody and their brother put that clip up, right?
But I got copyrighted, and along with that copyright, got shadow banned.
You guys couldn't see my post for a good 14, 15 days. Right now I'm facing another.
(21:51):
This one was delivered by the TikTok security community for a trust ban and
basically told me that I'm not being trustworthy to the back-end creators of TikTok.
I'm not sure even what they mean. I feel like I'm being targeted.
(22:13):
So I did create a new page.
It's called Reality Podcast Central.
Go look for it now. I think the at is Reality Podcast Network,
but you'll see it says Breaking the Rules Secondary in the bio and go follow it.
(22:34):
Like the content, please.
It's going to be the same content, just giving you guys clips on reality TV.
And please hit it up and let me know in the comments of the post if you want
to see me follow a new podcast and give you clips on it.
Just let me know which one. I am all game for a new show.
(22:56):
I have time when I'm sitting up there with my mom to turn on some new shows
and get some of that done.
So I definitely would love to do that and listen to some new podcast because
I'm kind of getting tired of the PR cast.
But anyway, it's fun. I'm excited about it.
(23:17):
And I'm still going to keep the Breaking the Rules page, don't worry,
and still going to deliver my theories and content from this podcast.
Which by the way, again, with my fourth wall, La La Theory, you guys,
I said it once, I'm going to say it again.
I think that the big fourth wall and finale shit is going to be,
(23:40):
she's calling out Ariana for not wanting to film,
specifically at finale when it comes to Tom Sandoval and her problems with him or her issues.
I think that the producers are going to back her up on it and they're going
to pull out some stuff because she's talked about a few different times on her podcast.
(24:00):
I mentioned them recently on...
Not the last episode, but I think the episode before that. I think it's the drunken one.
But I just think that she definitely has called her out for this before.
And she has trouble getting her to talk about the things that she feels like are worthy news.
(24:22):
Now, is Lala the biggest producer pet on the fucking planet? Amen to that statement.
I also showed you guys on the page that we definitely found out.
They have been, Lala and producers have been plotting about cheating and divulging
it the way they want to since season six.
(24:42):
Lala had a deal with producers to divulge Jax and Faith cheating with,
him cheating on Brittany with Faith.
And Faith spilled this and said that there was a whole deal in the background
and that the guy that ended up telling it on screen on that premiere episode
(25:03):
was trying to make a name for himself.
So I don't know. I feel like they're all full of shit at this point.
So I take what they say with a grain of salt and we'll see how this all pans
out. I'm anxious to see when and if they will pick up filming and who will be part of the cast.
(25:27):
I think they're also looking for some new blood, some new meat.
I mean, Sheena said it. She wants to go to the Valley. She was like, put me on season two.
I need it. I want it. I want to go on there. And I want to tell you guys that
she wants Brock to put Jax in his place.
(25:47):
Come on now. We all know this is not happening. Thank you.
Jax also, him posting that shot with Brittany, which Brittany refutes on the
podcast this week and says that, you know, that was just Jax,
you know, alluding to whatever he wants to allude to because that's what he does,
but they're not fine. She was like, we're not fine.
(26:08):
And we're cordial and we're co-parenting and that's about as far as it goes.
But she didn't even walk the red carpet with him. She didn't fly with him.
They didn't stay in the same hotel.
So it is what it is. I I think that he's posting because he wants us to think what he wants.
He wants us to think he still has a chance, which is kind of dumb because he's
(26:28):
going to get caught up in shit over and over again, like he did with Lori.
I don't think they slept together, though, guys. I will be surprised if they slept together.
I think they were doing something else in the bathroom, if you know what I mean.
They were eating pasta in the bathroom over a plate, over the commode.
(26:49):
Maybe they were bumping while they were doing it, though. I don't know.
Interesting, though, the headlines this week. Thanks for joining us.
We're so glad to have the new content, and I hope that you'll stick around for
these episodes, and we'll see you next week.
