(00:05):
Let's start the show. Recording in progress welcome.
To. The Buckhorn Podcast.
(00:28):
I'm Martell with me always as Mike and Randy in the internets.
If we're in the interwebs. Had somebody hakuna your tatas?
You've come to the Internet. That seems like an everyday
thing. Yeah, Anyway, what's going on?
I didn't say hakuna your own tatas.
Oh, I mean, I know. I wake up and just kind of boop,
(00:49):
boop, boop, boop. What's going on, man?
Oh, that sounds like a much morerobust bottle.
It's because it's empty. Well, I did that last week too,
which it was that. Was a decent one.
We didn't hear it because Randy was talking.
(01:11):
It was like, all right. Sounds like a Midget jumping
into a great lake. Sounds like Randy jumping into
the ocean. That's an A bomb dude that.
Was got to make a. 3rd a battleship.
Got to, got to make it so you know something.
(01:33):
It's equivalent. So it's 10 AM and Mike's
drinking. Yeah, well, the bills are on in
an hour or so and they're not ongear, so I got to go find a bar
to watch it at. Oh, I was were you?
Serious dude, I watch every gamefrom home, you just have to know
what you're doing. I was.
Well, that you could. Send me the instructions.
Oh I I will. Do you use the Brave browser?
(01:53):
Yeah. Oh yeah dude, I got you.
I mean I'll have to hold and share you send you some links,
but I've got like 5 different sites.
Perfect. Plus honestly most games now if
you go to YouTube and search like bills live and click the
live tab and get it and even. Probably you'll be streaming it.
No and. Halfway through the game it may
cut out you. Just go find another one.
I was. I wanted to watch the OUOSU game
(02:15):
yesterday. I did on YouTube.
And I tried to find it on YouTube and I couldn't find it
anywhere. All I found were, yeah, they
were live streams, but it was the announcers and they were
showing like that. Podcast thing.
No, it was the actual announcers.
Oh, OK. They were.
They brought. The audio was getting broadcast,
but the video wasn't. But you've got like the stupid
field and then the arrows that inch down the field.
(02:36):
Yeah, they had that and they washaving to put the big square
over the middle of the field. Click link and and text.
Now you got to find there was one yesterday streaming good for
about the first until about halfway through the third
quarter German guy, it was like learning seeing Deutschen,
Deutschen and the stream was fine.
(02:57):
Even his got shut down and before I could get another one
open, I can already see him working and he had another one
up. I was like, oh, that was I was
like 15 seconds. I can deal with that for free.
I was, so I didn't watch the game.
I was going to watch it, didn't watch it.
So yeah. Yesterday's was hard.
The big games you can find. Easier.
It was bullshit, the whole thing, that.
(03:18):
Well, and the fact that it's against oh, you too.
You think that that would be a fucking local game?
It should have been a local gameor else, yeah, you want to put
that shit on Peacock, fine, but the game should still be free to
fucking watch, yeah. Especially in Ohio on NBC.
Yes, it's an NBC affiliate. It's, it's bullshit.
It's. Peacocks owned by NBC and even
(03:38):
NBC was like Nah bro. It was, it was total fucking
horseshit. I don't know why I like, I went
looking for people that were outraged.
There was no one who was pissed on Facebook.
About it. That's because it wasn't a big
game. They would have been if it.
Was, but it's a fun game. I agree.
No, I, I I would say yes. Rufus going to attack Brutus.
Again, it was easier to find theGrambling game and watch it
without problem than to find theOU game.
(04:00):
Yeah, and no, Rufus isn't. They made it.
There was a whole thing about that, though.
They did it, Yeah, I saw that. They did a whole expose on the
the original, the guy that the guy who did it and he wasn't
even a he wasn't even a student at OU.
He was, but at the time he did it, he had dropped out.
Yeah. That's what he was saying.
Yeah, he was a student. And then the next year they
didn't know. He dropped out and they asked
(04:20):
him to be the student, the mascot again.
And he and. His whole he said the whole
reason he wanted to like, be themascot was to attack Brutus.
Yeah, well, he. Did so he did.
I think it's hilarious. I'm here for it, Yeah.
I mean, that's like the pettiestof crap.
Yeah, the hail makers that he threw though around Brutus's
fathead were fucking hilarious. Well, the guy that played
(04:43):
Brutus, like, yeah, he kept hit me in the head, but I'm that's.
Like. Yeah, he's like, it's a giant
pillow around my head. Like.
He said. I thought it was funny.
And they've never met. No.
I would have. They haven't talked since 15
years. Since they didn't talk then.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. They don't know each other.
He's like, I just play bruises like I wish him well.
Oh, I think it's that's what mascot should be.
(05:05):
Nobody got hurt. It was entertaining.
That's the way it should be. It was.
Pregame. It's not like he interrupted the
game. No, he interrupted the run out,
which is even funnier. Yeah, it's like for me.
Well, and it was the end of the run out.
Yeah, they're already out there. They're down and you know, Bruce
is down the end zone. He tackles in and the bruise guy
gets up and plays off. Well, he's like once they grab
(05:26):
the bobcat, he kind of shakes around like what's going on?
That guy's crazy. And they just went on with the
game. But no, I thought it was, I
thought it was funny. I didn't care.
I mean, I and I've always being from Ohio and having friends and
a wife who went to OU, I've always kind of, I want to see OU
(05:47):
do well, as long as they're not playing Ohio State.
And last year they were the Mac champion and you know, so good
for them. It brought attention to the
school. It brings money to the school,
which brings money to the region.
And I think that's a good thing.And I heard OU and OS U's band
did like a collaboration thing. So OU is also known for having a
great band. The marching one then, or
(06:08):
fighting 110 or whatever the fuck.
There, who cares? But.
I know people that are in it andI just give them like you
fucking nerds. My wife was a band nerd, not in
college but in high school and I.
Banned geeks everywhere. I call her A.
Band no. So you're talking about the
Kittles? Yes, and well, not just them,
I've got other. George Kittle was in the OU
band, my friend. Tony was.
(06:29):
That's all he talked about. Oh, the band was so amazing.
I'm like, fuck off with your band.
I don't give a shit that you played the goddamn sousaphone.
My buddy. That's a tuba.
My buddy has a it's. A baby tuba he's.
Homage to you, but he's not liketatted up.
He doesn't have OU jerseys. He wanted to see him win last
night, but he's like as big or bigger an OSU fan because he
(06:51):
knows. But he said that every single
game he went to, which was almost every home game, they
would literally the the fans would get plastered, go watch
the first half, and once the band was done, they'd all go hit
bars at their own game. Win or lose, they're just
hitting bars. They didn't care.
They didn't give a shit. It was like, watch the band.
That was awesome. It's tradition.
(07:13):
Now let's go party. Well, it's that.
Sounds like did you know top top?
There was recently a list of topparty schools in each state.
OU was not number one. You'll never guess who was #1 in
Ohio. Miami No.
Dayton, Dayton. Dayton.
Yeah, Dayton. You must have seen the list.
No, no, my kids, my my kids got into Dayton.
(07:36):
I know people that I know a guy that coached to Dayton and went
to Dayton, coached Dayton. He was a.
It's a religious school. As a freshman, he was a stud
football player. Religious Alcoholics.
He was like I think sophomore junior is like third in the
state and wrestling and like thedude's just a beast, but super
humble, super kind, have like a 4.2 GPA, just an all around good
(07:58):
dude. No, no enemies.
Nobody hated him, and he went toDayton play and then he coached
there and I never once heard himtalk about which I guess he won
it because he's a good dude. But nobody mentioned Dayton as a
party school. What do you think?
Party school in Ohio? You think?
Oh, you. Everybody does.
Yeah. Well, up here we do.
Right. There's lore, there's tradition
(08:20):
now. I mean, I, I guess we're not.
From Halloween. Yeah, the Halloween's a.
Huge, I know. I've been to both and.
Which one's better? I've never been to either.
I don't remember it. Literally don't remember.
Either one. No, because I didn't well, one,
I didn't dress up for Halloween. We just fucking went down and
Palmer Fest. That was God damn, that was a
(08:41):
shit show. Like we showed up.
I've. Never even heard of Palmer.
Fest, it's on Palmer, Palmer St.or Palmer Ave.
Like it's just all the houses onthere.
It's just fucking party. You.
Just go house to house and drinklike every house there's a
fucking ice lunge and one of thehouses the requirement to get in
was to do an ice lunge. Luz.
(09:03):
Luz lunge, whatever. Ice lung.
It was, but it was like you walkand they were doing like what?
Like they do tequila, They were doing vodka.
They one of them was doing like hairy buffaloes.
And that's about all I remember at that point.
Like I don't remember anybody else doing the ice slides.
(09:26):
Yeah, ice slides the ice track. Yeah, but they were.
I mean, they were. The bobsled.
Some of them were like crazy intricate like carvings that
they had done like they would have like this carving.
Besides to have it done and. Probably a couple 100 bucks and
then like. The some of those can get
pricey. The gutter like one of the
gutters did like a a Corkscrew down the other one was like just
(09:48):
a a hump like you can see you. They pour the liquid in and it
would skip and like everybody like it's all over the all over
the table like you were barely getting.
I was. Just saying alcohol.
Wasting more than you're drinking?
Yeah, there were. Two things I know about OU that
have always fascinated me is theparty culture.
Like not now. I have no desire to experience
it now, but I think in college it would have been fun to
(10:08):
experience or or at least in my 20s and all the the hauntings
and a call mysteries and. Around the.
Around everything, the pentagramthat the, the certain 5
different buildings make out. Yeah, of of course the, the, the
ridges, that's the big one. Yeah, they were to sign.
(10:31):
Them the sanitarium. The body died.
She was found days. Later staged over there.
Yeah, that makes sense. I mean, it's, it's oil.
You you make a spot. Well, they said even though they
tried to scrub it with everything, paint over it, but
paint should cover. Its oil.
Most things. That's oil.
OK, that's well. They got to cut the floor out
(10:51):
and replace. She was full of essential oils.
Probably back. It'd be from OU.
Back then. But all right, so we are.
Mike was able to get the bottle of the Panovoli toasted and I've
got very little left because I keep drinking the shit out of
it. Yeah, we've already.
Done it once on the show. We did it once on the show, but
the bottles. But we didn't do we didn't do an
official. We didn't, no.
(11:12):
So what batch? What batch?
Do you have? Mine is. 69.
Where's it at, 25 three O 1? OK, so we even have the same
Yeah, Char 5 heavy toast. Yep.
Four years, OK. The fucking nose on this is
(11:33):
incredible. Yeah, I know.
That's what I was saying. Like it is.
That's. The thing we noticed last week?
It is so candy sweet. It's what you want a good
bourbon to smell like, a good whiskey, even just a like if
somebody made a candy or a candle, as we often talk about,
this is kind of what I expected to smell like.
(11:54):
Yeah, this is. It's still like I'm going to
have to go pick up another bottle of this just because it's
so damn good. So let's get more into this
bottle since we didn't last week.
Where does it come from? What's the price point?
What's the match? So Penelope is a luxe row
product out of Kentucky. They you can they have several
(12:16):
different offerings like they have an architecture series,
they have they have this toastedbarrel series.
There is one that was called Riothat a lot of people were
looking for. I didn't go out and look for it.
It was like 100. I think they wanted like 100 and
some for that she. Dances on the sand.
She does, but it was, I think itwas, it was finished in another
(12:39):
barrel. So they do a lot of different
things and that I mean, just your run-of-the-mill Penelope in
the store, I think there's six or seven different offerings
like you got a bourbon, you've got a rye, you've got, you know,
you know your standards. And then they do cash strength
and this toasted barrel and the architecture series.
(12:59):
So they have a lot of different things that you can, you can
should readily and easily be able to find this particular
bottle is a toasted. So it's, it's a bourbon.
It was, it's in a toasted barrel, a heavy, heavy toast.
But instead of instead of doing your standard like char and like
(13:24):
charring the shit out of the barrel, the barrel is there.
There's levels to toasting as well.
And so like a light toast and then yeah.
And then they have a heavy toast.
So this is heavy, a heavy toasted barrel.
That just gives it a very nice amber color.
(13:46):
I was going to say for being theheavy toasted, it's not real
burnt. Oaky No, it's it's it's not
it's. It's flavorful.
But it's that's the toasted versus, you know, a straight,
you know, standard char barrel. This one hold on.
This one is a so this is a four year.
It's 100 proof for 50% and you're going to get all of the
(14:10):
just this, the, the flavors thatyou want out of a bourbon.
You're going to get, you know, you're going to eat or even the
senses. You're going to get something
very sweet. You're going to get a little bit
of oak. You're, you should get, you
know, you're going to get your caramels, your Toffees, your
vanillas, you know, butterscotchsomewhere around those along
those lines. Also, this is MGP.
(14:32):
Yeah, OK. Yeah.
But it it's out of Lux Row. Right.
No, I get that. Sorry, I'm just.
But this is Penelope's becoming like one of my, like they're,
I'm starting to like, OK, this is this is one that I want to
get. Like this is what I'm going to
continue to try to keep on hand. You know, just like you try to
(14:54):
keep Buffalo Trace on hand just to have it.
The Penelope series are ones that you can keep on hand.
I put them up there with BuzzardRoost.
So Buzzard Roost does a really good job with what they have.
I think their offerings are a little more limited in what they
they. I think they only have like 5 or
6 things they put out where Pinup has like 20 fucking
(15:16):
bottles. And this has one of those
ashtray from the McDonald's in the not McDonald's.
They had the tin ones. But like, restaurant ashtrays in
the 80s. Yeah.
Autumn. Yeah.
It's like a ridged edge, a little bit for your cigarette.
Well, so you can cut it off. And right, you got a little
ashtray. You got a little ashtray in
there. So this one here, I noticed it
says the Toasted series, which he touched on having the
(15:36):
different toasted stuff exploresthe depth and complexity
different char, different char and toast levels have on our
flavor profile. After full maturation, they
finish this one in a straight bourbon whiskey.
So this one's refinished in a barrel, so it's furnished.
(15:58):
We finished straight bourbon whiskey and new charred oak
barrel so they also finish in a charred.
Oak so this is a basically a double barrel then so it's so
it's. Double barrel, yeah, that's what
was stating out to me that I andit's non chill filtered.
I noticed that. Yeah, that's that.
That is pretty common. Yeah.
It's either here or there. At this point I don't notice the
(16:19):
difference like I. Don't necessarily.
I just saw they put that down here.
But. Aged 4 years.
Yeah, so go. Ahead.
Go ahead. No, you go ahead.
OK, fine, so just straight from the the Penelope website.
You know our Toasted series is atestament to the power of
(16:40):
serendipity. When we begin to explore toasted
finishes, we weren't expecting each barrel to be so different,
so we decided to embrace this variety of chars and toasts that
make every bottle in our ToastedSeries truly one-of-a-kind.
After full maturation and charred new American oak
barrels, Penelope Bourbon is finished in a new hand toasted
barrel. While it can be hard to predict
(17:01):
the flavor profile of each bottle in our Toasted Series,
the deep notes of vanilla imbuedby the toasting process add
another dimension to our signature flavor profile.
Whether you're into heavy toast or medium are Toasted Series
offers truly something differentfor everyone.
Yeah. And so the first thing you get
(17:21):
on the tongue is vanilla I. Was gonna say to me, this tastes
like a a high quality vanilla cream, like something you'd use
in a fancy dessert or a cooking ingredient.
You know, it's not just oh, it tastes like vanilla extract.
This is. Like a yeah, I get some
definitely spice too. But I was going to say on the on
(17:41):
more after the vanilla on the tip of the tongue is where I get
the spice. I get the vanilla all the way on
the fat tongue. We're on the skinny part of the
tongue. I get the the little, not burn,
but a spice cooking spice. Kind of, yeah.
There was something I was going to say and I don't remember.
What it was, and to me, this honestly is about the perfect in
(18:04):
in a liquid form. This is about the perfect
definition of a good whiskey or bourbon.
It's. Aged just right to me and it
could be age longer and it mightbe better, but your age, 4
years, you're at 100 proof. So you're not too hot, you're
not too soft. It's going to it'll stand up if
you decide to mix it or make an old fashioned out of it or in
(18:24):
Manhattan. And it's it's very robust in its
flavor for being just four yearsand just 100 proof.
And I say just as in sometimes we've mixed drinks and go, man,
this could really have more punch or more you kind of lose
it. Or I think this one really
stands out as like, if somebody's like, what's whiskey?
I'd be like this right here, what's bourbon?
(18:46):
This right here. Like this is a perfect example.
So my one complaint is the mouthexperience on it.
Really, I'm enjoying it. It's not as viscous as I would
prefer. That's true.
It's it's quick. It's, yeah, it's, it's, it's
fast. It goes away.
I like something that is creamy, buttery, lingers a little bit,
(19:09):
kind of gives you that oily mouth feel.
I think that comes with the moreexperienced taste though, the
flavor more. Experienced.
Profile. Yeah, what I what I get out of
this is is exactly what we were talking about, but it the only
thing that lingers on the side of my tongue, this is the spice
and a little bit of an alcohol burn.
I think that this would make it's.
(19:30):
Alcohol. Yeah, I I think that this would
make a absolutely fantastic old fashioned.
You should do that, Mike. I'm going to I'm I may also go
get another bottle of this because I like this a lot.
Yeah, yeah. This one.
To me, this one is 1 that you can give to anybody that goes,
(19:53):
I'm not a whiskey person, we'll try this.
It's good, but it's not going tohit them so hard that it burns
them. It's not going to last so long
that it turns them away from trying to get into the more
robust things like you were talking about.
Add a drop of water I. Don't have.
We don't. Have any?
I will say I don't have water. Oh, bummer, because that that
(20:14):
adds a little bit to the mouthfeel and it takes away some
of the alcohol burn. Just one drop.
I'm I'm trying to make sure thatRandy loses some water weight
so. That's fair.
Gotcha. I've been drinking more water.
All right, so. Hold on, I'm, I'm go ahead.
So this because we talked about retail right now it is showing
(20:39):
this thing that can't be, that'snot right.
Hold on, that's toasted Private Barrel.
That's not what I want. Mike, what do you pay for this
today? I I think I paid.
Oh, hold on. I said the fucking picture, I
think. It's I think it was. 74 I think
I paid. Then this, then I am looking at
the, it's got to be the same one.
(21:01):
Yeah, it's $70 in in Ohio. What is?
Hold on, what is Woodford? Double ooped?
Is that 70 bucks too? OK, you just showed it to me.
Now you're telling me there's noWoodford around?
Nope, I'm sorry I paid 6499 for this I.
Was going to say I think I paid.I think I paid 60 bucks for it.
(21:24):
We'll call. It 60.
So but it's showing. I can't find it on OHLQS in
their app for some reason. They're showing a private
barrel, but that's not the private barrel.
So yeah, I think I paid 60 bucksso that I paid it was roughly
the same, the same price as Woodford double oaked because I
was like, I'm going to get Woodford.
Haven't had it in a while. And I saw this.
(21:44):
I'm like, you know what? 5 bucks more, I'm going to grab
that. Yeah, try it.
So I'm pretty sure this is 60 bucks Woodford.
You get wrong with, but this onenow I would say is right on par
with it. Yeah, yeah.
Except. Except this is limited.
So for 60 bucks buy 2. Yeah, buy, buy 2 and it's not
allocated in Ohio for sure. I would say the downside, 2
(22:04):
downsides to it. If you're a new whiskey drinker
or newer, say you've been tryingit for around 3:00-ish years.
Try to find yourself something that is super hot like a hazmat
bottle at like 137. Just buy buy the old smoky blue
flame and after that everything will taste.
Better, that's not even fucking whiskey.
That's right. I mean, that's the true
(22:26):
statement. But after that.
Everything. Will taste.
Better, that's what I'm saying. You won't have taste buds so
it's not going to taste like anything.
Even better then you can buy then you can buy.
Then you can buy early times andyeah, well, then you.
Just. Buy.
Rot gut. And then you'll have.
Then you'll have no taste buds and you'll go blind.
Well, my thing is like if I'm ifI'm just if I saw this when we
(22:49):
were just starting out. Saw what?
This Penelope. Oh yeah, they.
I'm thinking OK four years good hunter proof good 6065 ish
bucks. See.
I don't know The thing is. I'm not familiar.
With it, I'm not familiar. I don't know what it tastes
like. And, and back then we were you'd
(23:10):
had a little more whiskey than Ihad I.
Had a lot more whiskey than you had.
I would say you had, I want to say you had a lot more.
I'd say you had a lot bigger variety over the years than I
had. I mean, I just drink the same
crap. But I've been drinking whiskey
for 18 years. So have I.
No, you haven't. You've been drinking Jack
Daniels and. Now I got a Jack real early.
Like I've been drinking. And first started that Jim Beam
(23:33):
we had that one time was great. That the Jim, it's not your
run-of-the-mill Jim Beam. There are Jim Beams out there.
That are really good bookers. Yeah, that's all Jim Beam.
No, I'm talking about Jim Beam. But it was the one.
It was black. It was black.
Oh, the the red stag, the. One that we were going to.
Fight though the black. The black, the black, that was
the one that we. Were both so it's such a good
mood. I was like, I want to punch you
(23:53):
and then give you a hug. I was.
Like, yeah, we'll fight. It's like, let's just fight
after this and hug it out and goin our ways.
Like it was like you just wantedto kind of get rambunctious,
like when you were a kid, you know, and, and, but to.
Me, I think the mask. Price.
The price would turn me off, butthe limited availability also
would have. One made me want it, but 2 made
(24:16):
me kind of go. Is there unless See, it's not.
Limit for a reason. Not that I know what I know.
I'd say yeah, for 60 bucks. This is a.
Steal. So I found it.
It's 50 it's 5499. OK, so it's it's the.
That's 10 to 15 than we originally thought.
Cheaper, they've got it as $5 off.
So OK right now, so 55 bucks I'dsay you got to get a bottle of
this a. 100%. Go or two or two if you could
(24:39):
swing it. Or case I mean that's only 300.
Bucks because I don't think you would ever be.
I don't think anybody, regardless of whether they're
just starting out or say youngerin their whiskey journey or
somebody that's been drinking itfor 40 years, would be
disappointed in this. No.
No, you know what I'm saying. So this to me is just one of the
I would I would put this in my top five if if I had to say,
(25:01):
define whiskey in five differentwhiskeys, this would be one of
my top five, probably. So their official tasting notes,
The aromas? Brown sugar and cinnamon
breakfast pastry. I get that.
I don't get that. I do, but I get I get more of a
cinnamon roll with the vanilla icing on top.
It's a very sweet. I just had that yesterday and I
I, I don't get I, I don't get the cinnamon you.
(25:22):
Saying on the nose, this is this.
Is on the nose. Yeah.
Oh. Yeah, that's OK.
I do. I do get real cinnamon.
Yeah, a little bit. I have it.
Not that not. That it does.
It smells like a it smells like a it smells like a crumb cake or
a breakfast pastry. For sure, for sure.
The the body it says vanilla andGraham cracker with hints of
dried cherry and the finish is savory roasted marshmallow with
(25:49):
slight. Spice I don't get Marshmallow I.
I almost said there's a touch ofmarshmallow fluff in it earlier
and then when you start talking vanilla, I went maybe that's
what I'm getting. I definitely get, I get not
marshmallow, but the marshmallowfluff you get in a jar.
Just a touch of it on a Graham cracker is what I was going to
say. I don't, I don't get that like.
Spread it thin on a Graham cracker.
(26:10):
Less me more. I get more of the the roasted
part than I get marshmallow. No, that's the marshmallow I get
on towards the end of it. Apparently our free meeting is
going to end in 10 minutes and Ineed to upgrade.
Fucking short episode. So we'll just, yeah, we'll do a
short episode and then we'll do another short episode.
Another one somehow I was reallyI'm trying to find a fucking.
(26:33):
There's something out there. Service that I can record like
we're. All three of us are on the
video. Yeah.
How much was Google Meet? It they want you to get Google
One and pay the $30.00 a month Google One that's.
Not for 30. Dollars a year maybe.
Well, it's like you, you get like a TB of cloud, whatever,
(26:58):
and you get access. But we don't need that together.
No, we don't need any of that shit.
I just want something that, likethe screen record function is
fucking awful for FaceTime, right?
Like it's I have to convert the video before I can even edit the
goddamn thing. And then I end up with two
versions that are 10 gigs and I got to delete, you know, the
original. So it says Riverside and Zen
(27:20):
Caster. Well, Riverside is not free
either. It says for free video it's not.
No, it's it Riverside? Because I looked into Riverside
before I bought the edit the personas editing software.
There's in Caster, these are online, then there's a desktop.
There's OBS Studio Da Vinci. Da Vinci resolves when I know
other. That's not a, that's not a
(27:41):
recording software, that's a, that's a DAW, that's a video
desktop auditing workflow. That's because that's what I
used to edit the show it. Includes powerful video
recording and editing, but is itDa Vinci or Da Vinci Resolve?
That's the they're the same. Oh, I don't know.
Black Magic, Da Vinci Resolve and the free version lacks some
features that the pro version has like captioning.
(28:03):
So I found like a caption hack that someone created a script.
So because I do captioning for some of the some of the other
video work that I do, we need tofind, I need to find it needs to
be something like Zoom here where because that's what we're
using now, we need to find something.
That how much is zoom? I don't know, but I don't want
(28:25):
to pay for it. We're not making any money with
this show. I mean, I was trying to get you
guys to record a show without me.
Yeah. That backfired on me.
You weren't. Trying to you said can we do
noon or do it without me and I can do that and you're.
Like have fun without. Me and I was like what the?
Fuck no, I said. I said can we do noon or you
guys can record a show without me?
And he's like, Yep, that works. Can.
(28:47):
We do noon. Can we do noon or do or record a
show without me and you went Yep, that works.
Yeah. Yeah, isn't.
That's ambiguous. That's ambiguous.
Yeah, I was like, OK, cool. My bad, we were we were in the
in the hospital when my 11 year old was having surgery and maybe
I didn't fully describe what I meant.
(29:08):
Well, Yep, that works. Doesn't describe anything.
Either way. It's like the ambiguously gay
duo. Either way, ambiguously gay duo.
Actually, if I remember correctly, the way you posed it
is can we do noon? If not, you guys can record
without. Me same.
No, it's not the. Same.
I wonder it's the. Same.
(29:30):
I wonder if we just used both used web actual webcams?
I don't know if that'd do it or not.
Well, if you so if we recorded the show like we always do
through my phone, and you recorded the show through a
phone and then sent me the files, I could mash the two
(29:52):
together. It's more work on your part.
Yeah, I know. I don't want to do this anymore
anyway. Then why are we here?
I don't know because you guys want to do the show.
You really want to stop recording?
Is this it in 8 minutes or less?I don't know is it?
Are we done? I don't know.
Well, thanks for eight years. Of I mean, you guys can keep
(30:12):
doing the show. We got to an IMDb page.
We did something. This is episode 450.
Almost 500. Not even close.
Almost made it. That's another year.
That's fifty more weeks. It's.
It's two weeks. That's another year.
That's a fucking year as far. As I'm two weeks less than me.
This year is not a leap year, so.
(30:35):
No year's a leap year for me. The more I drink this, the more
I like this. I just finished it.
I'm just like that. Is that last I've?
Got 1 little sip left. I, I, I poured a little bit more
for myself. This is really fucking good.
Yeah, that last sip was really. It is good.
Really fucking good so. It just it mellows way out like
(30:57):
it it is this is This is also a great example of the third sip.
Yeah, don't know. Absolutely.
Yeah, it is. Yeah, the first tip is like,
it's super peppery and. Different than the third tip.
Well, that depends on where it'sgoing.
Yeah, 2 tips is one thing. We get the three tips.
Now again, that depends on whereit's.
Going That's the shocker. Depends on where it's going.
(31:21):
Or the shock him. That's just a shock.
Yeah. That's not.
There's nothing that's that is. That's a shock regardless of of,
well, no, it definitely depends on which end you're on.
I mean, it's when. You're parteologist puts those
little finger condoms on three fingers.
You're in for a. Rough day when he just puts the
glove on. You lose your wristwatch up
(31:45):
there, doc. Third time this week.
That's Jesus. I hope it's a rolodex glitch.
Rolex not a rolodex. Jesus Christ.
I know what you meant, but then I pictured a rolodex.
All right, we're going to end this and then we'll see about
doing another one and try to figure out some other recording
software bullshit. Anyway, check his house on
(32:08):
Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.Insta Google tubes to grand.
Martel for Mike and Randy and the interwebs that Al Gore
created, we're done. Cheers.
Live in like no future, no past.Yeah, that goes in the dark.
Whiskey podcast like that. Smart much?
(32:30):
I like you Ready. Raise the glass.
Live in like no future, no past.No past.
