so damn good. So let's get more into this
bottle since we didn't last week.
Where does it come from? What's the price point?
What's the match? So Penelope is a luxe row
product out of Kentucky. They you can they have several

different offerings like they have an architecture series,
they have they have this toastedbarrel series.
There is one that was called Riothat a lot of people were
looking for. I didn't go out and look for it.
It was like 100. I think they wanted like 100 and
some for that she. Dances on the sand.
She does, but it was, I think itwas, it was finished in another

barrel. So they do a lot of different
things and that I mean, just your run-of-the-mill Penelope in
the store, I think there's six or seven different offerings
like you got a bourbon, you've got a rye, you've got, you know,
you know your standards. And then they do cash strength
and this toasted barrel and the architecture series.

So they have a lot of different things that you can, you can
should readily and easily be able to find this particular
bottle is a toasted. So it's, it's a bourbon.
It was, it's in a toasted barrel, a heavy, heavy toast.
But instead of instead of doing your standard like char and like

charring the shit out of the barrel, the barrel is there.
There's levels to toasting as well.
And so like a light toast and then yeah.
And then they have a heavy toast.
So this is heavy, a heavy toasted barrel.
That just gives it a very nice amber color.

I was going to say for being theheavy toasted, it's not real
burnt. Oaky No, it's it's it's not
it's. It's flavorful.
But it's that's the toasted versus, you know, a straight,
you know, standard char barrel. This one hold on.
This one is a so this is a four year.
It's 100 proof for 50% and you're going to get all of the

just this, the, the flavors thatyou want out of a bourbon.
You're going to get, you know, you're going to eat or even the
senses. You're going to get something
very sweet. You're going to get a little bit
of oak. You're, you should get, you
know, you're going to get your caramels, your Toffees, your
vanillas, you know, butterscotchsomewhere around those along
those lines. Also, this is MGP.

I put them up there with BuzzardRoost.
So Buzzard Roost does a really good job with what they have.
I think their offerings are a little more limited in what they

6 things they put out where Pinup has like 20 fucking

finish this one in a straight bourbon whiskey.

not too soft. It's going to it'll stand up if
you decide to mix it or make an old fashioned out of it or in

Manhattan. And it's it's very robust in its
flavor for being just four yearsand just 100 proof.
And I say just as in sometimes we've mixed drinks and go, man,
this could really have more punch or more you kind of lose
it. Or I think this one really
stands out as like, if somebody's like, what's whiskey?
I'd be like this right here, what's bourbon?

So my one complaint is the mouthexperience on it.
Really, I'm enjoying it. It's not as viscous as I would
prefer. That's true.
It's it's quick. It's, yeah, it's, it's, it's
fast. It goes away.
I like something that is creamy,buttery, lingers a little bit,

kind of gives you that oily mouth feel.
I think that comes with the moreexperienced taste though, the
flavor more. Experienced.
Profile. Yeah, what I what I get out of
this is is exactly what we were talking about, but it the only
thing that lingers on the side of my tongue, this is the spice
and a little bit of an alcohol burn.
I think that this would make it's.

make a absolutely fantastic old fashioned.

get another bottle of this because I like this a lot.

To me, this one is 1 that you can give to anybody that goes,

It's good, but it's not going tohit them so hard that it burns
them. It's not going to last so long
that it turns them away from trying to get into the more
robust things like you were talking about.
