through the film With Nail andI. So if you've not seen the
film With Nail and I, then Ido Absolutely recommend it,
it's something of a courtclassic. And this is the

day. So I think the quote isin and of itself quite well
known. As I say, I know itthrough the film With Nail and
Eye. And the quote is an idiomand it means that no person is
ever wrong about everything100% of the time. Essentially,

it kind of gives theimpression that the quote is
quite negative, really,because it's sort of
suggesting that some peopletend to be wrong about almost
everything. But relating to aclock, of course, that a clock
that is stopped, so ananalogue clock that has
stopped, will coincidentallygive the right time twice a

day in a 24 hour period.For me, although as I say on
the face of it, we couldperhaps kind of indicate this
quote kind of indicates thatit is quite negative. For me,
I think we can extend thephrase that it doesn't just
apply to people that itsuggests that all has value.

So relating closely to thatidea that one person's junk is
another person's treasure.Interestingly, The phrase,
even a stopped clock gives theright time twice a day is
actually sampled in a song bythe musician's Orbital. And if

you're not aware of Orbital,do check them out. And the
song in question is calledPlanet of the Shapes. So it's
absolutely a coincidence, butthere is the word planet
snuggly wrapped up in a songtitle. And of course, this
podcast is all about helpingthe planet and making a

difference. It takes me back,actually, this idea of songs
and music and connecting tothe planet to episode 28,
where that podcast episode wasexactly about that. Listening
to music and connecting toplanet Earth through
connection to music.So going back to the quote

again, even a stopped clockgives the right time twice a
day. I think it can be seen asthe antithesis or the
opposite, if you like, to theso-called throwaway society,
whereby society may be seen toreplace what is broken and
perhaps may be seen not tocherish things, not to cherish

belongings in the same way aswe may well have done in the
past. Also it can be seen asthe opposite to a society
where fast fashion ischerished and valued and if
you're not aware of fastfashion I have podcasted about
this before in a few differentepisodes I've touched on it

in short it relates to thefast turnaround The fast
production of clothing andaccessories and that
consumption or the purchasingof these and then replacing

it happens of course has adetrimental impact upon the

suggesting that we can hold onto absolutely everything. Some
things do need to be thrownaway. Of course, that's

unavoidable. But perhaps wecan use that phrase and
perhaps we can just try torethink, refuse, reduce,
reuse, refurbish, repair,repurpose and recycle. And I
