I don't have the words to describe the magnificent prophetic utterance about the sacrifice of Jesus as found in Jonah 2. I will let it speak for itself. It is rich and glorious. Over the next few podcasts, including this one, you will see what I mean. As one preacher put it: "If this doesn't shake your tree, then nothing will because you are dead!"

Jesus died the deaths and went to the hell of torment, agony, and ...

Jesus prophesied and clarified that Jonah's experience in the belly of the great fish had similarities to what was going to happen to Him in the heart of the earth.

For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. (Matthew 12:40 NET)

The heart of the earth was none other than the center of the earth, the ...

The more you hear and see in Psalms 18, the more you realize this Psalm could ONLY be speaking of Jesus in hades. It reveals how the Father got Jesus out of hades by a heavenly “special forces” rescue mission that shook eternity. The Father brought His Son out from among the place of the dead with all its demon hordes (hades). Psalms 18 is a revelation of the initial phase of the resurrection, the side where the power of God got...

Wow! Wait for it...

The magnificent Psalms 18, and what the Father did when He raised Jesus out of hades and from the tomb, will rock your world to its very foundations! As I have pointed out, Psalms 18 is looked at as a Psalm of deliverance of David that had nothing to do with Jesus. He spoke as a prophet often in the Psalms about the sacrifice of Jesus, both physical and spiritual. When you begin to connect the dots, you begin ...

Testimony of Healing

I (Dan) seriously hurt my neck January 5, 2020. When I did, I heard the loud crack of a neck bone on the left side, about half-way down the neck. It was not a little crack like you get when a chiropractor manipulates your neck or when you crack your knuckles. It was a crack like I heard when I broke my foot in...

Generally, the sacrifice of Jesus has been reduced to a physical sacrifice alone, hence only a portrayal of His death on the cross and the resurrection from the tomb in movies and at most churches. Though, without question the physical side was a part of His sacrifice for us, the spiritual sacrifice of the soul and spirit Christ for sin should not be ignored.

The spiritual side of the sacrifice of Jesus has always been included in...

Jesus came up from the dead out of the abyss! (Romans 10:7) As we have stated repeatedly, Jesus descended into the lower parts of the earth. (Ephesians 4:9) This speaks of the heart of the earth as in Matthew 12:40, and the abyss in several passages in the New Testament. One such passage is Revelation 9:1-3, where the abyss or the bottomless pit is referred to as the place of demons, a furnace of smoke, and evil. That all means t...

Jesus descended into the lower parts of the earth. (Ephesians 4:9) This speaks of the heart of the earth as in Matthew 12:40, and the abyss in several passages in the New Testament. One such passage is found in Revelation 9:1-3, where the abyss or the bottomless pit is referred to as the place of demons, smoke, and evil. Each of these terms are synonymous with Hades (translated hell in KJV), and in fact are speaking about the s...

Amazingly, little to no emphasis has been placed on the sufferings of the soul and spirit of Jesus on the cross and in hell. Some deny this truth. Peter preaches this truth by quoting Psalms 16:10 in the first sermon preached after the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost. (See Acts 2:24-31.) The suffering of the soul of Jesus (the soul's innermost part being the spirit) is taught three times in Isaiah 53:10, 1...

According to many Scriptural references we have given, the evidence is clear. Jesus suffered the deaths, physically and spiritually. After His spirit left His body, He was received into the flames of hell to suffer on our behalf for three days and three nights! The innocent Jesus, the one who NEVER sinned, the spotless ONE, suffered for the guilty. There was one whopping “problema”. Jesus was ushered into hell illegally!! The de...

Matthew 25:41 states that the cursed ones will go to everlasting fire reserved for the devil and his wicked angels. The implication of this verse for what Jesus suffered for three days and nights in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40; Acts 2:27) is truly amazing. Religious devils will screech and writhe in pain as they hear this truth. Jesus was our substitute even in hell!

Hell is a real place reserved for the wicked. It is ...

Everybody in the Church at large has heard of John 3:16:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16 NKJV)

Have you heard this next verse before?

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up. (John 3:14 NKJV)

That was John 3:14, a rarely quoted verse in the same teaching of Jesu...

We have proven beyond any doubt that Jesus went to Hades for us so that the one that trusts in His sacrifice never has to go! What a glorious provision! This selfless act of gracious love was the innocent Jesus taking the place of guilty humanity, so that the guilty can receive a place with Him as the innocent. Though this central provision of grace is not automatic, it is available to everybody that will receive it!

This is the...

God raised Jesus up, after He spent three days and nights in the heart of the earth! (Matthew 12:40) The heart of the earth was Hades or the hell of fire and torment in the story Jesus taught about the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:23, 24). Jesus’ soul was not left in Hades but He was raised up from the realm of the dead, and then He was raised physically from the dead (Acts 2:24, 27, 31). This is what we have been studying in the...

Jesus paid the MAXIMUM penalty. Jesus suffered for three days and night in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40). Hades (the heart or center of the earth) is the destiny of all those without the Lord (Luke 16:19-31). Jesus went to Hades in our place in order to redeem us (Acts 2:27, 31). That is an essential part of the story of our redemption!

Jesus suffered the deaths in all realms; physically and spiritually, BUT God raised Him up from the dead having loosed Him from the birth pangs of death! (Acts 2:24) The loosing of the birth pangs of death came BEFORE His body was raised up from the tomb. After the death of Jesus on the cross, He was three days and nights in the heart of the earth. (See reference below.) The "heart" of the earth was not the physical rock t...

The sacrifice of Jesus was all-inclusive, and NOTHING was left out. Jesus suffered spiritually, mentally, physically, and in every other realm for three days and three nights. It was not only on the cross. The cross was a part of His sacrifice (and it represents the whole) but it was not the end. The end did not come UNTIL the three days and nights were completed, AFTER He was physically raised from the dead, and AFTER He ascended...

Many have fussed with me over the facts we will be presenting in the next podcasts from OUR Bibles (not just MY Bible, if you will look up the Scripture). Some of the most nonsensical and out of context reasons have been used. However, the sacrifice of Jesus was all-inclusive, and NOTHING was left out. Jesus suffered spiritually, mentally, physically, and in every other realm for three days and three nights. It was not only on the...

Here are some (not all) of the Messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus in the Garden, on the cross, and during His death according to Psalms 22:

  • Verse 1- Forsaken by God (Mark 15:34).
  • V. 2- Praying without ceasing before His death (Matthew 26:38-39).
  • V. 6- Despised and rejected by His own people (Luke 23:21-23).
  • V. 7- Mocked (Mt. 27:39).
  • V. 8- Evil people will say, “He trusted in God, let Him now deliver Him.” (Mt. 27:41-43).
  • V. 11- “N...

There is no question that Psalms 22 is a clear prophetic utterance through King David 1,000 years before Jesus hung on the cross. It is amazing to read it and cross-reference it with the things that happened around the cross in the Gospel accounts. WOW! We begin in this podcast to look closely at this powerfully revealing Psalms.

The Psalm starts with the gloomy words from the lips of Jesus on the cross, “My God, my God, what ...
