The Panel of Peril are well used to jacking a load of information into the old grey matter. Therefore, this week’s task shall pose them no problem – yes, it’s Johnny Mnemonic (Robert Longo, 1995).
The year 2021: the NAS epidemic sweeps the world, and our Johnny (Keanu Reeves) is a sought-after data courier, smuggling illicit information across borders and shielding it against the shady corporations who seek to abuse it. But when he overloads his memory capacity he faces a race against time to extract the info and escape the Yakuza, headed by the legendary Takeshi Kitano, and a blasphemous hitman named Preacher (Dolph Lundgren). What secrets is Johnny storing to send such fire power after him?

The cure for deadly NAS is buried in Johnny’s noodle, and the corpos want to keep the population under their thumb – as per our own world. Fortunately, Johnny has powerful allies in Jane (Dina Meyer), J-Bone (Ice-T), and a tricked-out dolphin with all the latest gadgets. Wow! Will they release the cure and change the world, or will Johnny lose his head?
