(00:02):
That's the sound of a steak on a grill.
And when I think about cooking on the grill,
I really do.
Honestly.
No joke.
I think of my good friend Russell Metzler from gas product services because Russell is the gas grill guy.
Hey,
Russell,
how are you?
Hey,
Joe,
what's up?
Hey,
I had to have you on the program because it's that time of year where people are spending a lot of time outside,

(00:25):
whether it's the Fourth of July or they're going into,
uh,
you know,
Labor Day weekend.
And really,
actually in Houston,
Texas you can kind of grill all year round.
I actually prefer to do it in the cooler months,
uh,
because it's nice to be outside and be able to do that without it being too hot.
So you work with people all the time with their grill needs.

(00:48):
Can you talk a little bit about the different types of grills?
Because I know some are freestanding.
Some are built in,
some are on wheels.
Why do we talk about the differences?
Yeah,
absolutely.
So,
um,
at gas product services we sell service and install all types of gas grills.
Um,
gas grills.
On posts,
gas grills on carts or gas grills,

(01:12):
uh,
that are built into a,
like a,
a structure,
an outdoor kitchen environment.
Um,
if you have one that's not working correctly,
we may be able to repair it for you.
Um,
we can always replace them.
Uh,
we can maintain them if there's,
um,
you know,
if you're having,

(01:32):
uh,
issues that it's not heating,
right or whatever,
let us know we can take care of all those issues for you.
Yeah,
it's something that almost everybody has.
A lot of people go to the big box store and they might buy,
um,
something out of a box actually.
And that would be a propane tanked product.
Um,
but a lot of people don't know that if they have one that works pretty well,

(01:57):
it's possible it can be converted over to a gas,
a natural gas from their home,
but you will service both propane and gas.
Can you explain the difference when people are cooking on either?
Yep.
So,
if you have a propane grill,
then you have that bottle attached to it in most cases.
And a propane as a general rule,

(02:21):
propane burns hotter than natural gas.
So you would,
that grill is configured to use propane.
It does not take in as large a quantity of propane to achieve the same heat as it would if it were using natural gas.
So we have to configure,

(02:42):
uh,
one way or the other.
You can't just switch back and forth.
You've gotta have the grill specifically set up for the gas that you're using it for.
And,
um,
that's certainly a,
a service that we offer.
Not all grills can be converted.
Uh,
but if you have one and you're thinking of doing that,

(03:02):
then,
uh,
give me a call and let's chat about that.
Absolutely.
I've known Russell for,
it's,
it's really been almost 15 years now and he is a great guy to work with in the greater Houston area.
He knows more than anybody.
He is the go to guy.
All of his contact information is located in the description of this podcast.

(03:29):
So all you have to do is scroll down and get the information if you want to learn more about what he does with other types of gas products in your home.
It's all here in the list of podcasts.
Russell as always.
Thank you so much for joining me here today on the program.
And Joe,
as always,
I feel honored and humbled to be here,
but all the glory goes to God.
