Thilo Bode war ehemaliger Geschäftsführer von Greenpeace International und Gründer der Verbraucherschutzorganisation foodwatch e.V. Auch nach seinem Rückzug aus der Organisation ist Bode als Buchautor und schreibender Aktivist tätig.
Er freue sich, so Bode, heute vor einem Fachpublikum aus der Handelsbranche zu sprechen und danach in einen intensiven Austausch zu gehen. Moderiert wurde die Veranstaltung von Prof. Dr. Carsten Kortum (DHBW Heilbronn). „An unseren Kassen findet jeden Tag eine Volksabstimmung statt“, zitierte Bode einen Händler. Und zeigte anhand von fünf Thesen, warum der Verbraucher in den Supermärkten nicht wirklich die freie Wahl hat.
