Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson
Well folks… it was a whirlwind of a day in Washington. Both houses of Congress — yes, both — agreed to send the Epstein Files Disclosure Act straight to President Trump’s desk. That means every unclassified page, every memo, every interview transcript connected to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell is now headed for the public vault. After years of rumors, leaks, and political games — the sunlight is coming. And we’ve got the very latest for you.
Meanwhile at the White House… things got a little heated. President Trump lit into ABC’s Mary Bruce during a press spray — accusing her of peddling fake news on Saudi Arabia and Epstein. He even suggested the FCC ought to take a hard look at ABC’s broadcast license. I’ve got the clip… and you’re going to want to hear it.
And back home in the Palmetto State… Congresswoman Nancy Mace is once again in national headlines — and once again, not for the right reasons. A bombshell Facebook post from Occupy Democrats claims to have obtained new court filings from her ex-fiancé… and the accusations read like a reality-TV script gone nuclear. Hacking, blackmail, “Jane Doe” conspiracies — and a judge now ordering names released.
A lot to unpack today… so let’s get to it.

✅ BLOCK 1 — FULL 11-MINUTE SEGMENTYour tone: neutral delivery with conservative framing, Fox-style cadence
The Epstein political earthquake rolled right through Washington again yesterday — but this time, something remarkable happened. Senate Republicans didn’t block the vote. They didn’t stall it. They didn’t amend it. In fact… they opened the runway for the Epstein disclosure bill to head straight to President Trump’s desk.
And for a bill that insiders were calling “dead on arrival” just a week ago, this is a stunning turnaround.
Here’s why:
When the House passes something 427 to 1…
When even the most progressive members sign on…
And when President Trump himself says, quote, “We have nothing to hide — release it”…
Well, suddenly every political calculation in Washington changes.
✔ WHAT HAPPENED IN THE SENATEYesterday, Chuck Schumer marched onto the Senate floor demanding immediate passage — no amendments, no delays, no procedural traps. He warned Republicans not to “bury it in committee.”
But here’s the twist: Republicans didn’t bury it. They didn’t fight it. They didn’t even insist on a roll-call vote.
It passed by unanimous consent — a rare moment of agreement that sent shockwaves through the Capitol.
The minute the House clerks finish the paperwork, this bill goes straight to the Resolute Desk for President Trump’s signature.
✔ WHAT THE BILL ACTUALLY REQUIRESThis bipartisan resolution — championed by Rep. Thomas Massie and Rep. Ro Khanna — forces the DOJ to:
Release all unclassified Epstein & Maxwell documents
Make them public in full
Make them searchable and downloadable
Release them within 30 days of the President signing it
No loopholes. No slow-walk. No bureaucratic tricks.
And here’s the big political point: Most politicians hate transparency — especially transparency that involves Epstein. But Trump has been the exact opposite. He’s saying: turn the lights on.
And just as that dust was settling… things got spicy in the Oval Office.
✔ TRUMP VS. MARY BRUCE — THE CLIPDuring a press spray with the Saudi Crown Prince, ABC’s Mary Bruce pressed Trump on Epstein and Saudi Arabia. Trump didn’t take kindly to it. He accused her of pushing fake news and even suggested the FCC look at pulling ABC’s broadcast license.
CUT #_____
You can hear the room tense up… and the Crown Prince sitting there stone-faced.
Say what you will — Trump never backs away from a media confrontation.
✔ WHY SENATE REPUBLICANS LET THE BILL MOVEBehind the scenes, GOP leaders ran what’s known as the “hotline process” — basically checking whether any Republican objected to passing it immediately.
Normally, someone would.
But not this time.
Because here’s the truth: Republicans would’ve looked guilty if they blocked Epstein transparency after the House voted 427–1.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune put it plainly:
“When a bill passes the House 427–1 and the President says he’ll sign it… changing it isn’t feasible.”
Translation: The GOP wasn’t falling for a trap — and they turned the tables instead.
They’ll work separately to protect victims' privacy. But politically? They weren’t going to hand Democrats a talking point.
✔ THE BACKFIRE — DEMOCRATS ARE NERVOUSMake no mistake — Democrats expected this bill to corner Donald Trump.
Instead?
Trump embraced it. Republicans unified. And now Democrats may be realizing they just opened the door to something the

Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
