Mein heutiger Gast ist Thomas. Beruflich und privat war er schon immer viel unterwegs. Ob allein oder zu mehrt, das war ihm eigentlich immer egal. Hauptsache die Welt entdecken. Früher waren das schon mal 15-20 Länder pro Jahr, mittlerweile geht er es aber gerne langsamer an und bleibt länger an einem Ort um diesen ausgiebig zu erkunden und die Kultur des Landes besser kennenzulernen. Auch weil er sich mit seiner Website und dem Blog Konpasu.de eine selbständige Basis aufgebaut hat, die es ihm und seiner Partnerin ermöglicht vom Reisen zu leben und digital zu arbeiten. Und wenn man schon fast 100 Länder der Welt gesehen hat, wird es dann auch abenteuerlicher. Zum Beispiel mit dem Reiseziel Saudi-Arabien.
Wir haben ja etwas gebraucht um warum zu werden, aber spätestens beim Thema Antarktis ist das Eis gebrochen… Wir sprechen darüber, dass Saudi Arabien gefühlt mehr Starbucks und Dunkin Donats als die USA hat, worauf man beim Buchen eines Hotelzimmers als Paar unbedingt achten sollte und, dass die Antarktis eigentlich das ideale Reiseziel für Solotraveler ist.
