Depuis quelques mois, les clients du Carrefour Market de Turenne au Havre croisent un nouveau type d'agent de sécurité : Windy, un robot conçu pour prévenir les vols en magasin. Avec son allure amusante, doté de caméras et d'une carte de visite électronique, Windy n'est pas qu'une simple attraction pour les enfants.
Il s'agit du premier robot automate développé par Megatech Sécurité, sous l'initiative de son créateur, Abdelkader Arab, un entrepreneur havrais. Le concept est simple : Windy assiste les agents de sécurité humains en surveillant les allées des magasins grâce à ses caméras, dont les images sont diffusées en temps réel au bureau de Megatech Sécurité. Si une situation suspecte est détectée, Windy peut prévenir les agents présents dans le magasin.
Selon nos confrères de Paris Normandie Le Progrès de Fécamp, depuis son déploiement, le nombre de vols a significativement diminué, comme le confirme Stéphanie Patry, directrice du Carrefour Market Bellanger. En plus de dissuader les malfaiteurs, Windy attire l'attention des enfants, qui le surnomment "Wall-E", rappelant ainsi le personnage du célèbre film d'animation.
Ce robot prouve que l'innovation technologique peut jouer un rôle clé dans la sécurité privée, en appui des agents de sécurité traditionnels. Il incarne un premier pas vers l’avenir de la surveillance automatisée, sans pour autant remplacer les professionnels du secteur.
