(00:08):
Alright.
We're here.
This is an exciting one right here.
We got a big guest today.
The BNI business.
Hey, watch yourself.
The BNI business.
Large.
Huge.
Large.
It's oBNI& I business of the week.
I don't think we can even Considerthis the BNI Business of the
Week, because this is the BNI.
That's
what he is.
He's the executive director, KameronThorne, of the BNI Utah North.

(00:32):
Correct.
And also you own your own business too.
It's Apple Environment,which is a Environmental.
Environmental, which is a meth removal?
It's anything that has to dowith meth, about teaching people
how to clean it, and fentanyl.
I don't do meth.
I was asked to do meth when I startedthe business from my business partner.
That could have went a whole otherdirection if you had done that.

(00:53):
It's like, I got
stories.
There's a, there's a alternate timelineout there somewhere where you did meth.
And it's, you're Walter White out there.
I am doing the I
would be skinny and I'd have nice teeth.
At that point.
You would not
be introducing him as abig guest at that point.
Yeah, but Small.
This, but the Method networking.
Method networking?

(01:13):
I'm gonna write the bookcalled Method Networking.
Should we check his car?
I love it.
Are the police
gonna show up any minute?
Are you actually Listen,
on the break Trafficking
Methamphetamines.
We're
being recorded.
Oh yeah,
oh, oh.
We'll have to turn this off.
We'll have to cut it out.
Do what you gotta do.
Well look, at least heknows how to clean it up.
So, I mean.
Very true.
I know

(01:33):
how to make it and clean it up.
Oh you really know how to make it?
Yeah, you know the process.
Because I would assume you'd have toknow the process to know when to do it.
So that we can say, theymade it chemically, now you
gotta clean it up chemically.
Yeah.
Oh, interesting.
What was the
background on you with that?
Because I don't wanna.
Get too far in, but yeah.
Well, I just,
I was business coaching and Iwould, I knew the cleaning industry

(01:57):
from my background in, in hotels.
And I was vice president ofa big, big cleaning company.
And I got sick of it, ended upleaving that and I did consulting
and my niche was cleaningcompanies, restoration, those types.
Mark Shepherd out in Kaysville calledme and said, Hey, I've got a Doing
property management, doing a bunch ofcleaning of homes and stuff and he goes,

(02:20):
half these homes have methane from theFannie Mae and Freddie Mac back in 2008.
Oh yeah.
And he was, he said, I'm, they'respending 50 to 60 thousand
dollars getting these homes.
He goes, we don't needto get these things.
He goes, it's a surface contaminant.
And he goes, we should create a chemicaland a systems how to clean this.
And I was laughing because Ialways like good ideas, but then.

(02:41):
That's when he said, Kameron,do you want to do meth with me?
You know, it was likegetting down on a knee.
Proposing meth to him.
And it's been really, westarted a cleaning company.
We got where we were cleaninga couple houses a week.
Both of us hated it, butit was very profitable.
So we ended up selling it.

(03:02):
So now our company, we created achemical to clean testing supplies.
Um, we created standards, uh, we helpedcreate the standards here in Utah and
then we've worked with governments inNew Zealand, all over the world and in
different parts of the country, helpingthem create standards and then teaching
people how to clean meth and fentanyl.

(03:24):
And so people buy our product, testing supplies, Mark teaches
them how to, to clean it.
That's how I got involved in it.
I spend most of my time on theother portion of the business.
It's Mark Spence.
About half of this time with AppleEnvironmental and half with BNI, and
I spend about 90 percent with BNI.
Okay, so you guys do test for meth?
Oh, yeah.

(03:44):
Okay.
I got one right here.
Should we test it?
I feel
confident and comfortable.
I'm the only owner.
Let's test my house.
Actually though, isn't
that a thing?
Like, you wouldn't, isn't there apercentage that you'd be surprised?
10 percent of the homes in Utah are
contaminated and 100percent of the hotel rooms.
That's insane.
That's insane.
And a lot of
the rentals arecontaminated, unfortunately.

(04:05):
So we make that joke, but youmay not know that you're home.
So this is something like when youget an inspector to come in the
house, they better be tested for this.
And you know in the hotel thatfirst night you can't sleep?
Yes.
That's why.
We're all high.
Is that what you're saying?
We're sick.
You're just
breathing in those nasty chemicals.
The chemicals
make you feel like garbage.
And it keeps you awake.
Oh.
What kind of hotels are you staying in?
Listen.

(04:25):
It doesn't matter, right?
We
tested all hotels.
We've stayed at the top and the
bottom.
It is everywhere.
It doesn't
matter.
Hotels are transient.
Yeah.
People come and go and youdon't know what's going on.
And truck drivers are using meth.
Contractors are using meth.
If you're getting paid by the peas.
A lot of those guys will stayup for days and days and days.

(04:46):
Another podcast we could do, I couldjust tell you stories over and over.
We're gonna do that!
I've got an idea for them.
We've been talking about this.
We've actually, we met Kameron.
What, almost two years ago.
Has it been?
At least 18 months.
We're at the littlediner in my neighborhood.
What's it called?
Biscott's.
Biscott's.
over there.
Biscott's.
Yes.
We did.
We went over there.
We met.
He came over to one of ourold networking meetings.

(05:07):
Oh my gosh.
And that's what I told people is,when they come and see us at the
BNI now, they're like, Oh my gosh.
We love this energy.
You know, it's great.
And I'm like, it's not new.
Yeah.
I'm like, we've
had this since that other place.
Yeah, yeah.
Think about it.
You came in and you even said that.
You're like, this is different.
We had a different vibe over there too.
That's a, a super creative.
The structure is so different.

(05:29):
It is.
It's
BNI versus just a, asimply a community network.
Getting to know people.
That's
what we were doing over there.
So, I always point that out andtell people we're not in a honeymoon
phase here at the Daybreak.
This is community.
This energy has been consistent throughthe heart of it for over a year now.
There's an energy in Daybreak

(05:49):
though.
There is.
People come here for a reason.
It is.
It's in Utah, but not like Utah.
Can I say that?
Yeah.
You can't because I'm not from here.
I'm an outsider.
Listen to this accent.
You can't tell?
You're not alone in this communityand that's what I tell people.
There's a lot of transplants here.
Yeah.
Because people that, you know, you're Googling, Hey, where

(06:09):
do we, where can we live?
Salt Lake County.
I commute to either, you know, we'reunique in that you can commute to um,
downtown Salt Lake or if you work at thePoint of the Mountain in Utah County.
Daybreak has new construction,it's a sense of community, or
existing homes, townhomes, singlefamily homes, all of the things.
You never have to leave it, to be
honest.

(06:29):
I mean, you might have to go to Target.
Listen, like, venture outpast, over to the Costco.
I know, get permission to go to Costco.
I know, it's true.
But, you hit it right therethough, because That is our goal.
We want to highlight small businesses sothat we don't have to leave this area,
but it's very diverse.
Is the, is the, not only that
we got one of the more diverse rooms.

(06:50):
I'll be, I'll be blunt, we got one ofthe more diverse rooms you could go into.
Anywhere in Utah?
Is that what you mean?
I think anywhere in Utah.
Oh, sure, sure.
Oh, yes.
With
what we have right nowas far as your demo from.
Male to female, even ages, where they're from, all that
is totally different in here.
Ethnicity, culture, all that.
Demographics, culture,
races, yeah.

(07:11):
But that represents Daybreak.
It is.
Yeah.
That's why people, they'rebuilding so many homes.
I just, all my neighbors, veryfew of them are from Utah.
How long
have you been in Daybreak?
Four and a half years now.
You came from, you were inVegas at one point, man.
That was, yeah, like, 20 years ago.
So then we built that house overin Jones Meadows in South Jordan.
Okay.
Just crossed from the Costsoutdoor, those big houses.

(07:34):
Yeah.
Finally just got sick ofthe big house, the big yard.
It's a lot to maintain.
Keeping up with theJoneses and all that stuff.
And my wife found a house, you know,we had a huge home, but it didn't
have really good living space.
And she saw that, that propertyover in Springhouse and
said, look at this kitchen.
It's huge.
Look at this living room.

(07:54):
It's huge.
Because we had a big house anddidn't use 80 percent of it.
Because your kids were grown at thatpoint, kind of phasing out, and you're
like, why do we need is a big kitchen,
a big living room.
And then everything else can be adequate.
It's a gathering space.
A hot tub.
What about the hot tub?
I have a hot tub.
Daybreak.
We all have a cool hot tub.
Yeah, that's it.
We all have that gathering place.

(08:16):
People are in the hot tub in themiddle of winter while it's snowing.
It's
so nice.
It's like one of my favoritethings in the winter in Utah.
That's like the
kind of stuff you see in the movies.
It's like my only
favorite thing about winter.
We live in a movie.
Some people would say theTruman Show for Daybreak.
But we
do.
It's so beautiful here all the time.
That if you are out in your hot tubwhile it's snowing, like you don't,

(08:37):
you don't do it anywhere else.
Meet
other people, you don't knowthem, but the conversation.
Wait a minute now, what kind of parties
is he at?
These are the B& R parties?
Fantastic.
Fun ones.
Look, they're networking.
Oh, okay.
Hey, I'm open minded.
Is this some of BenBrown's polygamous stuff?
It could be,
we'll have to
ask him.
Yeah, okay.
No, no, no,

(08:59):
yeah.
Listen, we're gonna be, we're gonna begetting people in trouble right here, so.
Yeah.
I have a
good reputation.
Careful what you say.
Yeah, I'm being careful here.
It's all in good fun.
But I do want to ask seriousquestions because BNI is Business
Networking International.
It really is international.
How did you get into BNI?
Exactly.
How did you get roped into this?

(09:19):
When
I moved from Las Vegas,I hired a business coach.
Jen.
She's from Indiana.
Cute little Jen.
And you look at her and think, she's the sweetest thing ever.
You need someone to hold you accountable.
You gotta have that person.
Jen was that person.
I hired her because shehad a mouth like a trucker.
Oh,
and
Jen's scary.

(09:41):
Sounds like her.
My wife Jen.
Okay, I'm kidding.
Couldn't hold me accountable.
But this Jen, JenniferHines, if you're watching.
Yeah.
She would make me do thingsthat I wasn't gonna do and she
says you moved here from Vegas.
You don't know a lot of people.
You've got to get involved inthe community because I came
as a business coach, bought afranchise with Action Coach and

(10:03):
she said, you've got to join a BNI.
And I'm like, looked it up.
B M I. That's body mass index.
That's what I kept thinking.
Am I fat?
Am I fat?
You know, and then and she's like,no, business never get international.
And I showed up to a meeting in Murray atRiggles Cafe on 53rd and the University of
Phoenix building, I think is where it was.

(10:25):
And, back then, before we hadapps and electronics and stuff,
everything was done on paper.
And we didn't, we didn't show apowerpoint, and uh, I just saw these
green slips of paper going back and forth.
And I'm sitting next to an accountant,Ken Klinger was his name, still in BNI.
20 years.
And he, I'm like, what is this?

(10:46):
He goes, it's money.
He said it just like that.
It's money.
I'm like, what do you mean?
He goes, these are referralsfrom people we know.
I signed up on the spot.
And, uh, that's how I gotinvolved, invited 18 years ago.
I wasn't a member for 11years and then had a chance.
My friend who owned BNI wasunfortunately going through a divorce
and his wife owned half of it.

(11:07):
And he just, he called me up and said,Kameron, I gotta sell this quick.
Oh, really quick.
And I was like, I mean, so Mark and Ipulled up, pulled everything we had,
drained all of our investments, bought it.
And so the rest is history.
The rest is history.
And so, yeah, it has grown a lot.

(11:27):
And so all we do is network.
That's network to grow our business.
Yeah.
How
many chapters do we have?
55
right now.
That's
just in Utah.
No, no, just from pointof the mountain to Logan.
Yeah.
There's another 30 go South.
Because there's BNI South too.
How many chapters worldwide are there?
Do you know?
I know there's 330, 000 members.

(11:48):
That's big.
More than that.
That's wild.
In
72 countries.
You know, and even our technology on ourapp now, if you give a referral to someone
in Italy, Translate into their languageand they get the referral and vice versa
I gotta tell you I got to speak to thisbecause this just happened to me last
night My husband accepted a job in Canada.
So anyway, we're looking and we're lookingfor some real estate there And I'm like,

(12:11):
who can I find I am with Keller Williams.
So who can I find in BNI?
That's Keller Williamsbrokerage in Vancouver.
Yeah, like you can divide it.
Yes I've already connectedwith her yesterday.
So, I mean, just that easy thatthey, you know, make it that simple.
Connect to, the resource, the area, done.

(12:32):
I gave a referral to someonein, in the Tuscany area.
Someone bought a home.
They were from Utah.
They're selling 000 on the countryside, but they all have mold in them.
So they had to do a mold testin order to pass the inspection.
I gave a referral to a home inspector.
in Greece.

(12:52):
Wow.
It worked.
Yeah.
That's
incredible.
I bet there's, there's gotta bemillions of stories like these, right?
There are.
Yeah.
Well, yeah.
At some point you're having the, the, the conversation with Ivan.
I am.
He's so hard to get in touch with.
Yeah.
Dana, you should come to Houstonwith me next month and we'll get him.

(13:12):
There you go.
Is he
going to be there?
I go.
It's a conference, national conference.
How
do we get in?
How did we go?
I'll tell
them.
It's like, hey Blane's got them.
There you go.
Let's do it.
There you go.
Look at this.
We need to have Kameronon the show more often.
I love that.
I love, yeah.
Where else can we go?
What other trips you got?
The next one's in Sydney.
After that it's in Sydney.
I did see that.
I've seen that on the B& R website.

(13:33):
I've been doing our
Is this my free pass to Sydney?
Can I?
What is it?
Hold on a minute.
What does this mean?
You're halfway there.
Does
this get me into Sydney?
Wait a minute.
What is it?
Let me see this.
The Go Gibber Award.
Chapter
Go Gibber.
What?
Uh oh.
How did you get this?
I sent some jealousy.
I, you know.
Where's mine?
I brought that out becauseI wanted to ask Kameron.

(13:54):
What do you got to do to get this?
Because I was given this today.
So,
what you do is, everysingle year we do an awards.
for all of our members andfor the chapters that have
been working really hard.
Yeah.
I
think you, did you, wereyou on it the other day?
It was on Zoom.
Yep.
And so the GoGiver award is givenone member in each chapter each year.

(14:16):
It's voted upon by your peers.
And so you guys didn't get to vote.
And so I gave it to her this year.
Oh, but she started the group.
She did a whole, she started the group.
And so, yeah, we got this.
So I've like I've got a couple extraand I said I want to give some some
recognition to people that reallybecause you would Have received it.

(14:38):
Anyway,
yeah,
but
well, thank you weren't
around in 2024 for the people becauseit was an award for 2000 for the full
year.
So
it's next year You'll get it and maybeyou'll get it again that or Blane.
You guys can fight over
it.
It'll be like competitionbetween you and I. I love
that.
See now that's something we can set upbecause it's one of our core values Yes

(14:58):
One of our choreo values is recognition.
That's right.
Acknowledge me.
That's not, it's also Giver's Game.
So, what are you doingto give back, Blane?
Yes, I know, I know.
Giver's Game is actually my favorite one.
Yeah.
It is, because I looked atmyself, I was like, well, I've
been giving my whole career.

(15:18):
This isn't new for me.
Like, let's see the game part.
You know, exactly.
That's kind of how I thought about it.
It does happen.
It doesn't always happen immediatelyand it doesn't even always
reciprocate in money for money.
It reciprocates in maybemoney for introduction.
Yep.
And we've putting you infront of somebody else.

(15:39):
When I was in the meth business,I gave a lot of referrals to a lot
of different people, but I neededto go visit to, to get my name out.
And so I used to ask people who arethe brokers, you know, real estate
brokers, because I want to teach CEUclasses in front of these brokers.
And if I gave them a referral, theywere more than willing to go to their

(15:59):
brokers and say, I want Kameron tocome over and do an hour class on
what to look for in these meth, inthese homes so they could do testing.
And so it worked out really well for us.
Really well.
Yeah, it's not always money for moneycan be money for introduction I mean
money for an introduction that willput you in front of the right audience.
It's all about who are the people Thatcan give you the business and sometimes

(16:24):
they're not even in your chapter,
but somebody knows somebodywell That's somebody knows
somebody that's why that's why I say wesay that networking and relationships
are worth more than money that's becauseThat's what builds your money that's what
builds any kind of money off of is Therelationship you get with someone else.
Well, like Ben Brown,
you know, he's, he's hard andnot hard to give a referral to.

(16:47):
He is the only comedian in BNI and mightbe the only one in the whole world.
And so, but when we, he and I weretalking, I said, who do you need to meet?
He goes, who do you know in Las Vegas?
So we got on a phone callimmediately with somebody and.
Just found out that the executivedirector's husband is in the
entertainment business in Las Vegas.

(17:08):
Yeah.
And so they're, I don't knowif they've met already, but
I know they're going to meet.
And then that gentlemanprobably knows people.
That Ben needs to know.
What?
Because Ben is, he's at the bottomand, but you can see him, he's
starting to find those things quickly.
He's coming quick.
He's coming quick.
He's got
shows in Utah, shows in Vegas.
He's in Atlantic City.

(17:29):
He's in Atlantic City today.
In Atlantic City today.
What other stories like that, like whatexamples do you have of, don't have to
name somebody, but have you seen somebodyjust literally come in with, you know,
with, let's just say with a knapsack ontheir back, you know, you know, the hobo.
Have you ever seen somebody comein with a knapsack on their back?
And then the fastest thatthey've ever come out with a

(17:50):
crown on basically is what I'm.
Yeah,
actually I've, there was a hand, thereis a handyman and he, I don't think he
would care because he made a video for me.
Name's Caleb Savage.
Okay.
Savage.
And in his first eight months,he's like, I didn't know if I
wanted to get involved in this.
I didn't know if I wanted to.
And he goes, but I'm here to tell you.
And Caleb's a Caleb.

(18:10):
If you see this, love you.
But he looks very hardened.
He is.
And, uh.
I mean, look
at
me.
I'm not the only one.
No comment, Blane.
I got scissors, please.
I know, I know.
No, but he said in my firsteight months, on his video, he
goes, I made an extra 120, 000.

(18:34):
What?
And he goes, I
didn't think this was going to work.
Wow.
So, Jen, who I introducedyou to, another story, but.
For another day.
Not for this one.
But, yeah, she.
She was a single mother.
Came to BNI doing property management.
Ah,
she was a real estate agent, but doingproperty management and then she got

(18:57):
involved and she started building hernetworks just like we've been talking
about and she She's been sharing meher revenue that she's been making.
She shared with me too.
Awesome.
It's yeah, it's
phenomenal what she's done She's
become a millionaire.
All right, nice.
So and going from single mom with twodaughters to Now has a mixed family.

(19:21):
Yeah, you
know another Brady Bunch story andShe's one of the top 5 percent in youth.
I don't know 5%, 10 percent I don't know,but she's just phenomenal and she lives
that givers game mentality as I will.
She's not a hard seller.
She builds friendships and she'slike, I'm here when you need me.
And people just love that.

(19:42):
I had a one to one with her and soI can speak a little bit to this.
She was amazing.
She was so gracious with hertime, like somebody who is
doing phenomenal things in BNI.
That's awesome.
And she's a real estate agent and sowe had that to connect on and she, I
said like, what's your secret sauce?
Yeah.
What's the, cause I'm justlaunching this chapter, like what?
And she goes, it's not, none of it is about you.

(20:06):
It's all just about what can Ido to be a resource to help other
people and it all just comes back.
Giver's game.
Giver's game.
Like that is the whole thing of BNI.
And
put your time in.
Yeah.
Trust takes time.
Yes.
Fortunately, we'll get people inany networking, they just come in
and they're throwing cards at you.

(20:27):
Buy my product, buy my products, come do this, come do that.
That's not a giver's
game mentality.
Without
building a relationship.
It's like.
I know a hundred plumbers.
Why would I use you?
Because you gave me a card
at
a restaurant.
Do I know
you?
Do I like you?
Do I trust you?
You know, when we get in thisgroup, you're going to find the
cream always rises to the topin all the groups and stuff.

(20:48):
And yeah, and in many chapters, everyone rises to the top.
And then visitors come inand just like, holy cow.
We're starting to seethat with your group.
Cause I'm getting a call every week.
Can I transfer to your group?
Yeah.
Thanks guys.
Can
I
say no?
No.
What do they got?

(21:08):
They got bribing?
What do they got
to bribe us?
We're
fun Blane.
I know we
are.
This group will be over 40 before summer.
Yeah.
Easily.
I think by April.
So we're doing a cruise competition.
You can cut this out if you want.
No.
We're doing a cruise competitionfor the month of April.
and May.
And so anyone that sponsors themgoes into my drawing and they

(21:30):
get to spend a week with Ivan
on a cruise boat.
There we go.
What?
That's where you ought to go.
Maybe, can I just, can I be part of that?
Just, not the winner, but go?
Yeah.
I think that would
be.
Cause they offer it to members as well.
Can you imagine beingIvan on a cruise boat?
Maybe we could just wake up at two inthe morning and just start talking.

(21:52):
Ivan would have his bottle ofwine right there next to you.
I had a bottle of
water because I gave up the sauce.
Yes, you
did.
I might have a cigar or something.
No, no.
Let's get that video.
That would be fun.
We could get someincredible, I'm serious here.
We could get some incredible footage andstuff that, I mean, he's, he's excluded.
He's isolated.
Every Regan's bringing two people.

(22:14):
So,
to go on that cruise with Ivan.
I know two really awesome people.
I don't know, I'm justgoing to throw it out there.
Look at us.
That would be fun.
We could do, I'm serious.
We could do a whole broadcastlike uh, production type thing.
We could get some really good stuff.
Sponsor someone.
Wink, wink.
Let's do that, let's talk.
Let's talk.
Let's talk.
How many We might pay for the whole thing.

(22:35):
Let's talk.
I think we could
make something.
So sponsorship in 2025?
Subs by www.
There you go.
April, May.
It's a drawing.
Oh,
April, May.
But I
give other prizes too.
Okay.
We do it every year.
Interesting.
And
where's that cruise at?
On the, uh, Kerr Lake over here?
Or is that?
We're going somewhere.
It's going, I think thisyear it's going to St.
Croix.
Oh my gosh.

(22:56):
There we go.
We are, we gotta get on it.
Yeah, I think, I think that'swhat I was told St. Croix.
Listen, we'll just be
the media group.
That's
what I'm saying.
We, that's all we gotta do.
We should be, A media group can take
video and pictures and
Yeah.
Look at us.
Oh, I, I'm already see how B and i works.
This is how B and I works.
I've got
it in my head.
Because you could, we could put awhole package together and say, Hey,
here, here's what we did last time.
And then
yeah,
when you do

(23:16):
another one.
But I really want you to talkto 'em about funny stories.
I do.
I'm get some.
Do something different becauseeveryone asks him the same question.
I'm not going to, you know, I mean.
How did this get started?
Blah, blah, blah.
No, no.
We'll see.
Be fun.
I'm going to tell you right now.
If me and
Ivan sit down on a cruise ship.
And it could be, tell themI want R rated stories.
Oh.
Can you
share those?
Let me just tell you this.
I
won't say if.

(23:36):
I'll say when me and Ivan sit downon that cruise ship and I've got the
list of questions in front of me.
It's crumpled up and I'm throwingit over to the ocean first thing.
And we're going to pour up anotherglass of wine for him and we're
going to, we're going to get loose.
It's going to be,
it'll be a good time.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
He would love that.
No dry interview with me.
That's for
sure.
He'll have you up in hissuite cause he gets the suite.

(23:57):
Oh, that's super cool.
That's fine.
You can
put, I've done one to oneswith him and he's a lot of fun.
Yeah.
Him
talking and the stories and justsay, I don't want the same question.
I don't want you to answer the samequestions you've answered to everyone.
A thousand times in ForbesMagazine and all those.
Tell him you want to hear more aboutNecker Island and him hanging out.
Is that a video with Branson?

(24:18):
Yeah.
I got you.
He and Richard are good friends.
Alright, yeah.
I want to hear those stories.
Because I've heard there's some, some
funny things.
Alright.
Let's say that
I'm going to, I will, Iguarantee I'll drag out all that.
We're going to write a bookoff of what we get from him.
I guarantee we could.
That
would be so fun.
But I wanted to ask this.
Because you mentioned somebodybecoming a millionaire.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You probably don't have an exact number.
How many millionaires has BNI made?

(24:41):
I don't know.
Lots, right?
We are creating a groupfor the millionaire BNI.
Millionaire club.
Kind of fun.
So there's
enough that it's on the radar.
We just put the stuff together.
Wow!
And so we're
looking for
people that have
done really well inside of it.
There's a couple of us that arealready, we've got an agenda.

(25:04):
We're trying to figure outhow to make it all work.
Yeah.
It'll be something.
You have to be a BNI member.
You have to have a certain wealthlevel and bring it in so much.
And I, I gave them a listof a whole bunch of people.
I said, here's people that
are on that would be there
if they want to do that.
Not on that list.
Can you outgrow a BNI?
Can you become too big?

(25:24):
Have you seen that happen?
Yeah, I have.
Yeah.
And when that does happen, we.
We celebrate it.
Yeah.
Yeah, because they're still givingreferrals back to their BNI chapter.
Oh, I'm
sure.
Yep.
And so yeah, we've seen people outgrowYou know, you can't outgrow a network.
You really can't.
But there's been people that have gottenso big, like in the contracting world.

(25:47):
Yeah.
Where they needed work, needed work, and then they built their reputation
to a point where I just need tomaintain, and they're still using
the contractors from the BNI group.
But they're now
The referrals are coming in fromword of mouth, past clients.
Because they've done so good.
Yeah.
Networking isn't just about people talkingabout you, it's about you doing good work.

(26:10):
Right.
If you do a good work, youget referrals just for that.
Yeah.
That's accountability.
Yeah, if you do bad work, ittravels faster than doing good work.
Yeah, it does.
Especially in
this community.
It really does.
We talked about this before you got here.
It's a
quick Facebook post from the right person.
Oh yeah, I've been readingsome of those stuff lately.
I'm just like, why are you

(26:31):
upset about that?
I
know, I know.
But it's all it takes.
Your HOA fee went up by 50.
I was reading that todayand I just started laughing.
We got our own haters.
We got like, we got uh, one, two, three.
One star review for this.
Oh, we do?
We do.
Now, I understand when people don'tagree with things or don't like
the content But I'm gonna say thatthat's just a hater out there.

(26:51):
The fact there's only one and we got allothers are five stars Who's hating on you?
We're
looking
at you.
Who's hating?
We're gonna find you.
I know who you are.
We got
a network.
I know
who you are.
But yeah, but it's like, You have to tellus who you are when you put one star.
Exactly.
That shows your name.
Exactly.
But, we could go, go ahead.
So tell us,
I was just gonna say this.

(27:11):
We're, I mean, we've been talkingabout BNI kind of a little
bit, you know, here and there.
But put it together for us, Kameron.
Like, what is BNI in a couple sentences?
Yeah.
What is BNI for you?
For myself, well, you should prepare mefor this because I can talk for hours.
But in a couple of sentence, it iseverybody needs a little bit of help.

(27:35):
Yeah,
we can't get through lifewithout help from other people.
That's how this was started was itwas a wasn't even a referral group.
It was a leads group.
When I even started this people startedpassing referrals and they closes most
of the time when you get a referral.
That's if you think about where mostof your business already comes from,

(27:56):
it comes from a referral already fromsomebody that knows you from someone
from your church group, your civicgroup, your drinking group, your golf
group, whatever it might be is, Iknow I got a guy, I know somebody.
And so it was, that's how it was formedto help the little guy get off their feet.
Cause we have so many goodentrepreneurs in the world that

(28:20):
businesses close cause they just.
They knew how to do the work well, they didn't know how to get the work.
Yep.
You know, I graduated University of
Utah and I shared thistoday in A BNI meeting.
It's like I, I learned nothing.
Yeah.
You know, my accountingclasses helped and stuff.
I have a business degree and theydidn't teach you how to get work.
They didn't tell you.
All they talked about is thisis what could happen once you

(28:41):
get work and they run scenarios.
The best school they ever gotwas the school of hard knocks.
Yep.
Mm-hmm . And I think that'severybody has learned what not to do.
And then hopefully you learnit and that's what BNI is.
You have a network ofpeople that have been there.
They've done that.
It's also a group to help elevate you.

(29:02):
It also is a group to helpelevate your confidence.
We have people in BNI that can't talk.
After two years, they're up there givingtheir 10 minute feature presentation.
You know, and you know, they're nervous inside.
But they would have neverdone that when they joined.
It was hard enough for them to join.
And so it is really a community.
And with BNI members, I seemembers come, I see them leave,

(29:24):
but they never leave that network.
I mean, your network doesn't stopbecause you're not part of BNI.
It continues on.
And so that's, we're trying tohelp people get a jump start
and be that help to get them.
So that they can take their firstvacation so they don't get that
divorce if that's what it is Cuz Imean, you know that one of the biggest

(29:45):
stresses in marriage is finances.
What if we could take that away?
Yeah,
yeah,
and we don't have to worry aboutthe other stuff that the causes.
Oh, yeah We could take that awayand you go on your first vacation
help pay for your kids schoolingor just be able to help others
Yeah
And wouldn't it be cool if all ofus had an endowment to help other

(30:05):
people, you know, and so as you'redoing givers gain, when somebody
helps you, go back and help them.
And that's not even beinghonest, that's just in life.
Should
be, right?
Yeah, should be.
Like that's, that's whatI try to tell people.
Give a helping hand.
Hey, help your neighbor.
Help that neighbor, help the,you know, it's symbiotic.
I always say symbioticrelationships or where is that?
Karma, golden rule, giver's gain, whatever you want to call it.

(30:29):
It's help
others and it will come back to you.
Yeah.
What about anything else we missed?
You got anything else?
Because we could go on for
Oh,
totally.
And he's got another appointment.
I know, so we got to get out of here.
I
think we do have to get you apodcast and I think we'd get it
easily done where it's just you pullout your phone to record because I
want to hear some of these stories.
I can talk about Bigfoot, we can talkabout UFOs, we can talk about Hate!

(30:53):
Meth!
Meth, fentanyl Here we go, here's my ask.
Before we get out of here, this is my ask.
Other than the cruise, because we'regoing on a cruise, I want you to
put me in front of What's his name?
Brandon Fugle.
With his Skinwalker Ranch.
I want to go out to the Skinwalker Ranch.
It's It's funny that one
of my sons is dating a girlthat's related to Brannon.

(31:18):
And I want to go to Skinwalker Ranch.
I've watched all those shows.
I mean, we should just goand get our sleeping bags.
I will
stay behind and you guys can let me know
when that happens.
I'll put it out there in the universe.
We're going out there.
That'd be fun.
Wouldn't
that be fun?
I'd love to meet Brannon.
Yeah.
Yeah, I wish they did tours.
Maybe they do tours.
Brandon hit me up on
LinkedIn at one point for some rea.
I don't think who all

(31:38):
listeners know, these twowanna get in front of Brandon.
Brandon, we, that knows rightthis fall There's a UFO Oh yeah.
Thing out in Vernal, Utah.
And I was just showing my businesspartner's wife and I was like,
if our spouses don't want togo, we're going to this thing.
It's a UFO festival.
It's a, that's it.
Yeah.
I saw every year.

(32:00):
We're going.
Look at this!
Me and Kameron had no clue thatwe had this in common right here.
My wife and I have seen one.
Don't think I'm crazy.
I've seen two.
She was with me.
Where were you at?
I
gotta ask.
We were driving back from Idaho.
In the middle of the night, this big old ball was standing,
floating right in front of us.
It looked like a moon.
Yeah.
It was kind of going back and forthand I was like, I'm just getting tired.

(32:22):
I'm looking at that thing justshoot straight up in the air.
Oh.
And it was gone.
What?
And I
looked over at my wife and Igo, Did you see something weird?
She's like, yeah, I'll goexplain what you just saw.
And she explained it to me and we'relike, ah, so we were in our Ford Escort.
And all of a sudden drive fasteras if we could outrun that thing.
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
You got to get home to Salt Lake quick.

(32:44):
Oh my God.
That's for another time.
Get me and Kameron in front of Brandon.
We go into Skinwalker Ranch.
I want to, I want to
go out there.
We should,
I'm serious.
Yep, I want to go out there.
I watch all those shows and I'm likeintrigued by it and then there's that
other show about the guys that aredigging holes a few miles from there.
Are you watching that?
Yeah, it's called something, it's uh,oh, it's another ranch or something.

(33:05):
It's a, it's a, where they'retelling on Skid Row, don't dig, but
on this other ranch, we're digging.
Yeah, we're digging.
I want to go see some, yeah.
Every time they dig,
these things start flying around.
They start showing up.
How
am I missing this
stuff, you guys?
You gotta like Tell mewhere to watch this stuff.
So we're going on
a cruise and we're goingto Skinwalker Ranch.
We're going

(33:25):
to go dig some holes next door.
I don't know.
We could,
we could.
That's kind of cool.
All right, let's get at it becausethis is the BNF, this is of the week.
Kameron Thorne.
Thank you.
Thanks so a long overdue.
This was fun.
It's long overdue.
Really it is.
But we'll get you backon before 18 more months.
Because that's about how longwe started talking about this.
No, we got to have him on quarterly.
Yeah.
Cause what did I

(33:45):
say?
He can get us on the show.
We had a big guest today, right?
I told ya.
I told ya.
It sounds like me and Kameron.
Me and Kameron may have our ownshow doing UFOs and stuff out in
the middle of the desert soon, so.
