In this gripping pilot episode, "Long Day's Journey Into Night," we are introduced to a seemingly quaint town that hides a dark and sinister secret. The arrival of a new family, the Matthews, sets off a series of unsettling events. The eerie discovery of the town's impossibility to leave and the chilling nightly warnings from the townsfolk establish the unsettling atmosphere. The episode culminates with a nail-biting encounter as the monsters lurking in the shadows descend on the RV where Kristi is tending to Ethan, along with Boyd and Jim.

The most shocking twist in the episode is the revelation that there is no way out of the town. The Matthews family's desperate attempt to leave, only to find themselves back where they started, is both disorienting and terrifying. The sinister creatures that come out at night add another layer of dread, especially when we see the devastating effects they have on the townspeople.
