Recently, I was in a Facebook conversation where a parent asked if they should allow their speech delayed child to play sports. This parent had many fears around what might go wrong. I understand this. But we cannot live in the “What if… ?”
When fears are set aside, there are so many positives to see! I believe the positives outweigh the risks! Here are 10 reasons for you to put your child into sports - even when there is a speech or language delay, of whatever sort!
