Dorsa Yavarivafa is a remarkable athlete and refugee who has overcome incredible adversity. At just 14 years old, Dorsa fled Iran with her mother, leaving her father behind due to safety concerns. Their tumultuous journey took them through Turkey, Germany, Belgium, and France before finally arriving in the UK, where Dorsa found solace in her passion for badminton.
Dorsa shares her harrowing experiences, including the challenges of seeking asylum, the fear of being separated from her mother, and the struggles of adapting to a new life in a foreign country. Despite these obstacles, Dorsa's determination and talent shone through, leading her to compete for the Refugee Olympic Team at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
