Tom Daley is a legendary British diver – winning 5 Olympic medals throughout the course of his career. This was Tom’s first podcast interview since returning to diving and in it he talks about what drove him to return to the sport after a two year break. A few months after we had this chat, Tom went on to win a 5th Olympic medal at the Paris games alongside Noah Williams in the 10m Synchro. Tom has since retired from diving and has just had a documentary released about his life on Discovery+ titled 1.6 Seconds.

Listen to hear Tom share his journey through adversity, including the tragic loss of his father, struggles with bullying, and navigating his sexuality in the public eye. We also discuss the importance of perspective, gratitude, and mindfulness in high-pressure situations. Tom reflects on his early experiences in diving, the challenges he faced during aspects of his career, and how becoming a father has transformed his outlook on life and competition.
