(00:06):
Is Michael Garfier. Michael Garfield.Michael Garfield's joining us and the high Tech
Texan. Michael Garfield is here witha high Tech Texans items to make life
easier, some new technology, andMichael Garfield has something you might want.
Michael Garfield is your high Tech Texan. Three decades helping you make magic with
(00:32):
your gadgets. I heard worldwide onthe iHeartRadio Act. Now your high Tech
Texan, Michael Garfield, just likethat big boy said, it is the
high Tech Textan Show. Michael ismy name. For the next two hours,
we are going to put together ashow we have done for over twenty
years as we approached the holiday seasonand all your questions answers, new products.
(00:57):
But I have to take a fewminutes over here to let you know
that my mind specifically is not onehundred percent on focus of my daily task
or re least weekly task of talkingon the radio show, because what is
going on with this world and thisis a platform that I have had for
(01:17):
two decades, and I'm going totake a minute over here to talk about
what is happening on the other sideof the world, because these are really
crazy, horrific times. It wasone week ago today, Israel was attacked
by Hamas. The terrorist group launchedthat surprise attack from Gaza into Israeli territory.
(01:40):
In that attack, as we know, the militants broke through the border
fence, they stormed Israeli towns, they fired on civilians. As of now,
thousands of Israelis have been killed byHamas militants. Hundreds of civilians and
soldiers were taken to Gaza's hostages. And this is children, this is the
elderly. These are American citizens.Hamas. If you don't know, it's
(02:00):
an Islamist militant group. It's beendeemed a terrorist organization by the US and
the EU, and it sees controlof Gaza in two thousand and seven after
is Roel withdrew and the two sideshave fought several wars since the last Saturday's
attack. It was the biggest incursionthat Israel has experienced since the Young Kipper
(02:21):
War almost fifty years ago. Exactly, I went to school growing up reading
books, well actually I'm not abig book reader, but studying wars,
specifically the Young Kipper War. TheYoung Kipper War is I'm not saying nothing
compared to what is going on rightnow. But foreign policy experts are saying
(02:45):
that Hamas's sophisticated attack on Israel literallyis representing Israel's nine to eleven or Pearl
Harbor moment. It's a stunning failureof Israel's vaunted intelligence program that's going to
impact its politics and society for decadesto come. Is this something that the
next generation kids are going to bereading about, just like I studied the
(03:07):
young Kipper Warren so many others. You know, this attack is going to
have seismic ramifications in the Middle East. You've listened to me, you know
me. I am not a politicalguy. I don't really even talk about
world politics or even the world. But this is horrible. What is going
on. Benjaminette Nahu, Prime Ministerof Israel. He warned of a very
long, very difficult war ahead, and one that's likely going to result in
(03:29):
massive military response in Gaza, andit's going to be shaped by the hostage
crisis. I want to steer thisin a little bit different direction right now.
I want to talk about, atleast for a brief moment, to
say that I personally stand for Israeland what is happening there is one of
the most horrific tragedies in my lifetimethat I have seen. But I also
(03:50):
bring up this topic because of theway we are finding out information coming from
the Middle East. A lot ofthat, as we now know, comes
from social media, and thus alot of that information is misinformation. People
be careful of where and what youare reading, be it on X formally,
(04:12):
Twitter, TikTok, wherever there's solidresources you can turn to on social
media sites like the AP or eventhe BBC, but please be aware before
you start forwarding or retweeting or quotinginformation because we don't know exactly what is
happening. The only thing we doknow this is a tragic time at a
(04:35):
very scary time in the Middle East, and we can only hope for peace
immediately. And I go online andI it's funny how the media criticizes and
critiques other media. There are storiesthat I continue to read are popping up
right now or even this morning asI was prepping for the show that X
(04:57):
formally Twitter. They have been amplifieddisinformation amid the Israel Hamas conflict or whatever
we were calling this thing. Youknow, from the outset from last weekend,
there's been graphic footage of abductions, military operations. They spread like wildfire
on social media platforms. This disinformationon all these platforms, it's made it
(05:19):
harder for users really says what's happening, what's real, what's not real?
It's propaganda. A lot of thisstuff is what do we believe? War
now is not just solely on groundfighting, guns, tangs, infiltration.
It's communication, it's news. Itis that propaganda more so than ever because
(05:45):
we we as the people of theworld, we have a voice. You
know, I was obviously I wasnot around in World War Two. I
was very young in Vietnam War Weand I studied that because I was a
communication of broadcast. We got thatinformation, Americans got the world got that
information from reporters, TV, radioreporters, Edward R. Murrow on the
(06:06):
ground. Remember what wolf Blitzer madehis name back in what the early nineties
was that the goal for on televisionsocial media as we knew it was not
there where we can say, oh, no, is this real? Is
this not real? You have totrust the trusted sources. The problem is,
(06:27):
and as we continue and ize, they wind up my first segment over
here, and this is what Italk about with technology, and technology has
changed in the twenty two years sinceI have done this show. If I
started this show Facebook, we wasn'taround. Twitter, wasn't around the social
media wedding around. You got yourinformation for me. Now you get more
information about tecking everything else from otherresources. I don't make things up.
I don't lie. Listen, I'dlove to I'd love to tell you that
(06:49):
the Cowboys are going to win theSuper Bowl, the Long Worne is gonna
win the national Championships in whatever Igoing to tell you they did. We
can fight, Yes, they didknow they didn't. We broadcasters journalists,
which I actually have degrees in thatwe're the trusted resource. We are living
in a crazy world right now,not only in the real world but also
(07:10):
online. So heads up and justright that this world can just get along.
It is just sad some of thethings that I do believe because I
have to trust these resources and thatI continue to click go down the rabbit
holes from several different area resources, maybe from the left, maybe from the
(07:33):
right of what's real, what's notreal? No real or not? I
know things are happening, and badthings are happening, and it shouldn't happen
like this. That's the end ofthat. I appreciate you listening to me,
and I hope we can tell youjust to live our haha, fun
life over here in America, andit never happens to us or your family,
(07:55):
or your people or your friends. But it's happening to a lot of
my listeners and a lot of myfriends family in Israel who have been adducted.
They don't know what is happening. It's freaking scary. With that,
we will take a break and we'regonna come back and we're gonna try to
make sense of Hey, it's aSaturday here on KPRC nine fifty am.
That's exactly what we're gonna do,my friends, and we're gonna try to
(08:15):
keep on you happen what we're happeningabout. Michael Garfield is the name.
It is called the High Tech TextantShow. Hey to get in the show
phone number is seven one three twoone two five nine five. Oh.
(08:37):
It is a radio call in showand we try to do keep it on
topics, and I do thank youfor letting me go a little off topic.
At the opening segment. Michael ismy name, callum here is on
the other side of the glass,Calum if you feel like picking up the
phone and put some questions through. It is October, mid October. Not
gonna say it's snuck off, snuckup on us. It's this has been
(08:58):
a long, long, freaking yearand it's not going well for a lot
of people. Maybe hopefully you arehaving a good year weather wise. You
know, I always talk about theweather because weather, weather affects me so
much. It affects my mood. And living here in Houston, which generally
is just a nasty, humid climate, we do look forward to the potential
(09:18):
November, December, January weather whenit gets cooler, and so we're almost
do you feel fall, just tryingto sneak in, trying to sneak in,
it's getting there. I cannot waitfor winter, Michael, or sweather.
Weather in my jacket weather. Ihave more jackets than anybody in this
in this southern city should have becauseI don't know. Maybe I'm just thinking
(09:41):
the world is gonna a cold frinis just going to take over for eight
months of the year on it,or I'm waiting to move somewhere up north,
whether or not Amazon, this isa segue over here, I'm a
professional. You can actually follow mylead over. Amazon had its second Prime
Day, because you know what, one Prime day year is not enough here
in America. And it was atwo day event earlier this week, and
(10:03):
they had jackets on sale. Seethat's how you segue. Anybody get any
winter clothes. Prime days generally peoplelook for televisions, they look for they
look for kitchen appliances too. AndI was looking at some of the stats
that were coming into the number ofkitchen appliances people. I really thought you
had enough air fryers. I thoughtthere are I thought every kitchen. You
(10:24):
know, there's a car in everygarage, there's a fish in every bucket,
there's an air frer in every kitchen. They're getting cheaper, cheap air
friers are good. Then there's thesethese crock potty type of things. There's
blenders, there's I mean, whatall do we need? But this is
what I'm here for. I actuallytest some of these products out and before
(10:45):
you actually buy one. This isI am your resource. I'm your consumer
lifestyle guy. I am I havewas this I don't know if it was
on Amazon Prime, But let's talkabout this kitchen stuff, because as you're
starting to see, you know what, even though it's mid October, I
guarantee Black Friday deal is going tostart popping up almost immediately, and they're
(11:05):
trying to shove all these gadgets.Remember, and I'm going to go back
in the day right now where everybodyhad to have a waffle maker. My
parents still may have a waffle maker, and I'm talking from the nineteen seventies,
and the over under number of timesthat waffle maker to this day had
been used probably is about five anda half five and a hoock got to
(11:26):
have a waffle maker. Then youhad the bread maker. Oh, I
was in the bread maker, Phacetoo. Breadmaker was nineteen ninety one two
three four you think, had ita little R two D two looking thing.
Oh my goodness, we can makeour own bread man. I was
making rosemary bread, cheese bread. It was the coolest thing in the world.
(11:46):
And this is before we had tostudy on carbs and how bad carbs
can be for you. All right, so there goes the breadmaker thing.
Listen, wh I can go allthe way back to the nineteen seventies.
I remember we got our first microwaveoven that was gonna that was going to
effect and the way we as familiesgot together and cooked meals. The microwave
(12:07):
was going to be the only kitchengadget we need. We need it in
the nineteen seventies. You know what, the last time I checked my kitchen,
I have a microwave and you probablydo too. Oh, by the
way, I still have an oven, and I still have a stove,
and I still have a toaster oven, and I still have a refrigerator.
No one gadget is not going tomake any any other gadget really disappear.
(12:31):
It's not like the Jetsons. Youknow, we had the little pill.
Then it's an entire meal. However, I did get a gadget about a
kitchen gadget. It was earlier thisyear, and I talked about it a
few times before. And I'm tellingyou what, this is almost an all
in one type of thing. AndI don't know if Amazon had it on
sale. It's called a Drea drEO and I guess it's at Dreo dot
(12:54):
com and dre they make a numberof things. Is actually I have a
Dreo fan. They make circulation pants, but this is a dre O.
Let me see if I can pullthis thing up. It's a Dreo all
in one kitchen thing. It's thesize of a maybe a bread maker or
kind of a vertical toaster. AndI use this thing more. It's called
(13:15):
the Dreo chef Maker Dreo chef MakerAmazon. It's got about three hundred and
fifty nine dollars and if instead ofand this is not a commercial for it,
I absolutely recommend this name. Butif you're looking to declutter your kitchen.
And I've got now so many guysjust not in boxes that I've tested
(13:35):
and tried. They're sitting in mygarage. I should probably do a garage
sale. I should probably actually gethim away here on the show Nimala is
good hiding a how bigger house? My all your kitchen over here. But
this thing, this Dreo chef Maker, it is a It's called the Dreo
chef Maker comby con By Fryar. So it is a smart air fryer.
(13:56):
Comes with a cooking probe as awater atomizer, and I like that because
you put a little water at thetop and it stops things from drying out.
It's got three professional cooking modes andit holds about six quarts. And
this thing is like a it's anair fryer, it's a toaster, it's
an oven, it's a dehydrator, and it's got defroster and it works very
(14:22):
well. It's got a little drawerthat you pull out, it's got a
little light. And the neat thingis yet there's an app you can download
and it's got all these recipes andit shows you how to make them step
by step. And then once youput the food in this chef Maker device,
you actually can turn it on andcontrol it from the app, so
you can now walk around your homeand do everything. It's pretty cool.
All right, that's enough. I'lltalk about that thing. But it's Dreo.
(14:46):
Dreo. Just go look for Dreachef Maker. I get that underdoorse
But I listen. I'm every weekI'm getting products sent to me. Hey,
Michael, you gotta try. Andyou know I've tried the the the
the big, the Insta pots. You know what I mean. They're okay.
And I love cooking. Don't getme wrong. I'm a cooker.
(15:07):
Yes, he cooks, he sows, he cleans, He's an eagle scout.
I'm such a catch, but I'mnot a big if you big soup
type of thing. I'm not thatguy. But I will tell you what.
If I want to cook a bigif I want to toast a bagel,
if I want to fry some actuallyear fry some chicken, if I
have chicken breast, I put theprobe in there. It comes out quite
(15:28):
well. Why do I need allthese other devices? And I say this
because and I know it's too late, because you probably went out and shopped
and went nuts on Amazon to buythese things. Whoever you're shopping for,
it be it for you, beit for a present for your parents,
or a housewarming gift. You know, take a you do they have a
big kitchen? Is it a cleanhouse? Do they have a lot of
(15:50):
crap on on their kitchen counters?Maybe they don't need some of this stuff,
or maybe they need it all inone so Doway, hey, listen,
if you bought something really cool onAmazon, listen, I have some
open phone lines. Why don't youkeep me company here? It's seven one
three two one two five nine five. Oh, without a doubt, we're
(16:11):
really gonna get into the holiday giftstuff. Give it a few weeks,
give it wins. Halloween is doneearly November, and that's when I go
into my recommendations from so many categories. I mean, I will give you
TVs, I will give you phones, headphones, earbudgs, cars, trucks,
kitchen gadgets, refrigerators, jewelry.I am your guy. Remember I
started out my career on QVC,so I know how to sell a bunch
(16:34):
of crap, and I can tellcrap from actually real good stuff too.
That's why I am your resource.You go high Tech Texan h I g
h t E c h T Etech t e x an spell at high
tech Texa dot com. I amon all the social media platforms where I
am not sending out disinformation, notat all. The Texas Rangers did indeed
(16:55):
win a few days ago and aregoing to the ALCS. That is not
Deserve Range. That is I'm pumpedup, people, Let's go all right,
high Tech textis Joe coming back?Should you be listening live today as
(17:19):
we do the show? It isOctober fourteenth and a very special day in
our family. And I don't knowif she is listening, but a big,
massive happy birthday to a one SusanGarfield, the mother of all high
tech Texans up in Dallas, listeningon iHeartRadio, happiest of birthdays. Sorry,
(17:41):
I cannot be celebrating with you today. I did see you last week
when I was in Dallas. Butis a it's a nice round number and
I will not say the age.You guys can potentially guess and figure that
out. But anyway, happy happybirthday to Susan Garfield and all the stuff
that I'm talking about on the showtoday, maybe I will ship up to
you as gifts. And I justtalked about an airfyer. I can hear.
(18:06):
I don't need another airfyer. Idon't want another toaster. Okay,
so I'll start talking about cars andjewelry. So anyway, if you're up
in the Dallas area, or ifyour friends on Facebook with her, happy
birthday to my mother. Phone numberhere, callum if you want to put
a few things through. If anybodywants to wish uh my mom a happy
(18:26):
birthday. Seven one three two onetwo five nine five zero. There's a
an app I want to talk aboutthat. It's really interesting and so far
has been getting rave reviews for it. What it does to help our privacy.
(18:47):
And I don't know if you've heardabout this, but I'm going to
kind of go at link with ithere, but if you have an issue
with your privacy of how much datais shared. And I did a story
earlier this week with our sister stationkt RH seven about how much information even
when you use loyalty cards in agrocery store, like if you go to
Kroger, and and HGB started ittoo, because I have an hib app
(19:11):
and I have the Kroger app too, and I put my phone number in
and they send me, you know, some deals of the week and then
and I know specifically at Kroger, you can, you know, put your
account number in and you get discountson something. I've used that for years
and years and years. That's oneexample how the companies they could take that
information and they know so much aboutyou. They know exactly what I'm buying,
(19:33):
they know what time of day. They can actually track how often I
open the app and what I eyeball, and do I pick it up at
a certain store, what time doI shop. They actually can sell that
information to third party companies too.And there's ways to stop some of this
stuff and there's this new app thatbelieve it or not, just was released
(19:53):
by Consumer Reports. Now you talkabout and earlier I started the show talk
about resources that you can trust, and I'm telling you this and Consumer Reports.
If you're listening to me, you'rewelcome for the pre publicity. Consumer
Reports is initially was a magazine. They came out I guess what once a
(20:15):
month. Absolutely took no advertising. The only thing Consumer Reports does and that
they would rate product product product. There was no bias, there was no
ads, there was no endorsements thesethings. They would go through everything from
kitchen gadgets to cars and they wouldrate on I think there were different circles.
(20:36):
You know that was the best, the worst, the middle and everything.
Consumer Reports is great. I absolutelyto this minute trust them. But
Consumer Reports came out with an appand it's called Permission Slip and it could
reach out to companies on your behalfto order them to stop selling your information.
(20:57):
Now, I'll say it again, the information out there. The more
you use the internet, the morelikely is the pieces of your personal data.
They're scattered all over the place. You could sign up for a social
media platform, you could buy somethingonline, you give these companies information,
and that information that's collected by companiesand data brokers that sell it to other
(21:21):
companies. They can use it tosell ads targeted you. But this permissionship
permission easy for you to say permissionslip and feel free to actually resuppruve of
that thing. I did not saya bad word. Permission slip it can
reach out to these companies and havethem stop selling information. Some states,
(21:42):
by the way, have past legislationthat allows you to exercise some control over
what happens to it. Yeah, depending on the state, you can prohibit
data brokers from selling your data ordelete your online data outright. But I've
tried this. The process is confusingand it's really kind of unclear. But
this is where this app comes in. Permission slip it does this legwork of
(22:02):
collecting the places that might have yourdata, and that's like one hundred plus
companies that use your personal information. And all you have to do is submit
your request for your info to eitherbe deleted outright or simply not sold anymore.
All right, So here's what youdo, all right, here's the
payoff. To get to use thispermission slip You have to sign up for
(22:25):
the service with your email address.Yes, And what you probably should do
is sign up with the email addressthat you frequently use when signing up for
rewards programs or making accounts online,so that way you're addressing most of the
places that should that could be sellingyour data. Okay, once you sign
up, there's some options here.If you think a certain company has information,
(22:53):
you may want to do something aboutit. And there's this little tab
that says learn more and take action. And if you don't think this company
has your data, and you won'tyou no longer want to see it,
you can hide it. But onceyou click that learn more and take action,
you're gonna be taken to a screenthat shows you what sort of data
the company usually collects and what youroptions are. And depending on the company,
(23:15):
and depending on the state that youlive in, you could have the
option to prohibit companies from selling yourdata or delete your account outright now.
Note, if you're deleting your accountand you have a rewards program, you're
gonna lose those rewards all right. So after you input your personal information the
first time, the process is forremoving the data. It's pretty simple.
(23:36):
You're gonna scroll through these permission slipsuggestions you're gonna select the companies that might
have your info and then you're gonnadelete your account, or you're gonna prohibit
that company from using your data. It's pretty strong. Now. It's important
to note that permission slip is submittingthe request on your behalf. You still
might have to confirm the request directlywith the company. It also may take
(23:56):
a bit of time. It's notgonna happen overnight to have this processed,
so be patient. So go checkit out. It is permission slip,
Consumer Reports, permission slip. Youcan go just just start Google the thing
and you can and you can andyou can figure it out. Several states
(24:19):
have different rules. And obviously I'min Texas, a lot of my listeners
are in Texas. Here Texas, and what our attorney general, I mean,
we try to keep up. Imean, our state tries to keep
up with you know, many thingsto keep it ahead, ahead of the
curve. California, California is prettystrong too. California has something called the
California Consumer Privacy Act, and thatwas the first date law to empower people
(24:41):
to designate a third party to makedata request on the behalf the law is
also I saw this thing from UTAHabout TikTok. I'm not a TikTok guy.
That is one of the few socialmedia accounts I don't have. I
don't need it. I don't evenknow what I never added it. But
then the whole I know it's ownedby China, by Byte Dance, and
(25:03):
they're gonna you potentially use your information. I'm like, you know what,
that's another thing I don't want toworry about. But UTAH get this is
suing TikTok forgetting children addicted to itsalgorithm. Now I've heard of addicted to
love, thank you Robert Palmer, addicted to its algorithm because they're saying it's
(25:26):
designed to hook users into its endlessfeed. I'm sorry, but that's called
the internet, right. How manytimes have you gone to the rabbit hole
on YouTube? Oh? I forgotabout this song? Oh? Who is
lead singer song? Oh? Thislead singer? And so's look at this.
Utah's Division of Consumer Protection. It'ssuing TikTok over allegations that the app's
(25:48):
addictive nature. There's your quote rightthere, and it harms kids, and
that TikTok deceptively obscures its relationship withits parent company Byte Dance in China.
Utah is tough there. It's justthe latest in a long and growing string
of bands and legal actions from USbased governments and organizations to really rein in
(26:10):
TikTok's popularity. So Utah's governor, they accuse the company of misleading parents that
it's apt to say for children, and it violates Utah consumer sales. But
guess what. This isn't new andI'm not ragging on TikTok. I'm giving
you facts. TikTok's facing challenges likethis across the US. Indiana made its
(26:30):
own similar allegations to Utah's. Marylandschool districts sue TikTok and actually other tech
giants also offer, you know, overclaimed contributions to students mental health crisis.
Montana they passed a ban on TikTokin May, which now TikTok is suing.
(26:51):
This is what we're We're coming tolawsuits. I wonder as kids hear
this and kids get ticked like,oh my god, I can't believe our
date or the government is banning something. I wonder how many lawyers are coming
out of this. Did I Ihave so many of my friends or lawyers.
I am one of the few nonlawyers of my group. They're all
lawyers. And I didn't know. And there tell me that less and less
(27:11):
people are going to law school? Is this the reason why I don't know?
When I grew up, I didn'tknow anything about lawsuits. Kids nowadays
that they want to find out what'sgoing on, well, TikTok and now
where there's a lawsuit. Really, you know what, Mom and dad,
I think I want to be alawyer. This actually may be a good
thing at the end. Maybe thiswe're going to get the kids to be
lawyers. But then again, dowe need more lawyers? Ah, a
question for you to ponder. Aswe take a break here, you know
(27:33):
the number at seven, one, three five. Oh. We continue when
we come back. We're going totalk phones. Another new phone has been
released from another company. It's phoneseason, people, and I will give
you the play by play. Callthis the final segment of this first hour.
(27:57):
Whether you're listening UHA live here towardsthe noon hour on Saturday had JPRC
nine fifty or almost midnight on KPRC. Because it's so nice, they run
it twice. Thank you so muchto Pianeerics in our program director uh,
we are here to keep you company. Michael is the name seven one three
(28:18):
two one two five nine five ozho. You can pick up your phone and
call that number. Don't do itwhile you're driving? What phone? Do
you have no doubt? Or thepast two thousand s them too. The
fifteen fifteen years, the pretty muchbiggest topic that has overtaken the world of
(28:38):
technology has been the mobile phone. And that was when the first Apple phone
came out, When the first iPhonecame out, change so many things.
Then there's apps. We live onour mobile phones right now. Sales of
desktops have been down a bit,the laptops too, and then there's the
tablets. But phone, phone phones. This is phone season, people.
The iPhone fifteen was just released, what tow two weeks ago. I still
(29:00):
have not seen an iPhone fifteen outin the wild. I would love to
hear from someone who bought one ofthe iPhone fifteens. Call me, I
just gave you the number. Howdoes this sound? Is it good?
That's in relatively neat features? Wasn'tthe biggest upgrade? The biggest and you
know when The biggest news, thebiggest factor, the biggest press release,
(29:25):
the biggest chattering buzz of a newphone is when, oh, this phone
has a new type of charger. The phone itself may not be a big
upgrade. I may be wrong ifyour iPhone iPhone fifteen users tell me this
is the newest and greatest and latestthing, other than the fact that you
now have a USB C type chargerinstead of the lightning cable. I'm an
(29:48):
Android guy, proud of it.Green dots unite people, and I've been
using USBC in long time, fast, easy way to transfer data. More
and more cars they've got the USBC versus the USB A type connector in
there too. Can't wait to someof these Apple users who rag on me
(30:11):
for being an Android. Hey,Mannah, my phone's dying. Can I
use your USBC charger? Oh youwant my charger that I've been using for
years because your new iPhone can't usethe old lightning cable. I don't know.
Let me give you my venmo.Anyway, point is new phones are
being released, not just the iPhonefifteen. Samsung came out Actually, well,
(30:34):
I know in July when I wasin South Korea, SamSam came out
with their new fold and Flip phonestoo. They also came out a bout
a week or so ago. Theyannounced a line of their phones that are
really good prices. They're called midWe're called mid range phones if you don't
want to spend just a thousands andthousands of dollars, which phones can be
(30:57):
that expensive. Right now, theyhave a Galaxy S twenty three FE the
letter FE. Let's call it FanEdition? Why not? Way? It
is really good features and it lookslike a similar Galaxy S twenty three,
which is a great foam phenomenal camera. Starts at six hundred dollars, all
(31:22):
right, the regular Galaxy S twentythree. It starts a lot more than
that. It's got some AI poweringpowered editing tools. Comes in several different
colors, tangerine. They got atangerine color. They also came out with
a Galaxy tab S nine. Itried that gal It's a tablet. I
don't use a tablet a ton,but their Galaxy Tablet S nine that I
(31:45):
tried out a few months ago phenomenal, long lasting battery. So now they
got a tab S nine FE FanEdition. While you fans out that starts
at four to fifty four and fiftydollars and then they have no This is
the first time they released some earbuds, Galaxy Buds FE Fan Edition wireless earbuds,
(32:07):
the longest battery life in the budseries. I have not tried these
though. Thirty hours of audio playbackand they started ninety nine dollars. Not
bad because I think the regular GalaxyBuds are probably a what a one nine
and they went on sale. Let'ssee. Hold on the Galaxy Tablet FIE
and the Galaxy Buds. They wereavailable online last week in the Galaxy S
(32:30):
twenty three FE will be on Samsungdot Com and other retailers starting on October
twenty fifth. All right, Octobertwenty six, So there you go.
That's one. We have Google thatjust came out with a phone. Google
just came out with the Google Pixeleight and the Google Pixel eight Pro.
(32:51):
Did you know people that there isa Google phone. I talk about Android
all the time and people think that'sjust Samsung with Androiz No, I mean
they're I mean, Motorola's got one, and g used to have them,
and one plus has them and itgoes on. Google has its own phone,
the Pixel eight in the Pixel eightPro, and the reviews have been
(33:12):
pretty strong too. Matter of fact, people are saying the Google Pixel eight
Pro is without a doubt, thebest Google Pixel ever to come out.
Good upgrades, right, And I'mlooking at this thing, and I have
not tried this thing yet, butthe display, it seems like they really
got the design correctly. There isglass in the front and back, and
(33:37):
the rear glass is kind of likea matte type of finish, and it's
got a typical six point seven inchdisplay. And but the display, the
refresh rate and to get I'm lookingat the specs, it varies all the
way down to one hundred and twentyhertz, from from one twenty down to
one hurtz. But it's incredibly brightthe way it's done, twenty four hundred
(33:58):
nits of outdoor brightness. And Googlehas something called these super ac Tua display.
I love how they come up withthese names like this. But anyway,
fifty megapixel main camera, it's gota little larger aperture than the others.
The ultra wide camera is now atwelve megapixel sensor, and there's a
forty eight megapixel telephoto camera too,and let me give you the prices to
(34:22):
pretty impressive package. They did increasethe price. It was nine hundred and
now it's a thousand this year,but I still think it's a relatively pretty
good value proposition. I have nottried this yet. That's the pixel the
Pixel eight pretty cool. It issmaller, six point three inches. The
cameras are out there, still verygood, fifty megapixel camera. It's the
(34:45):
same thing. It's got an IPsixty eight rating, which is good.
So i'd still make sure you putcases on everything you're out there for.
But the really good part is theprice. In this the Google Pixel eight
starts at seven hundred dollars. Nowit's an increase of one hundred dollars,
but it's still a pretty good value. So whatever you're looking at, because
(35:07):
this is you know, hey mom, dad, I need a new phone.
It's the holiday season coming up.There are a ton of things to
choose from out there. Yes there'siPhones. There's a new iPhone. Yes,
there's a new several new Samsung fe'sout there only a few months old.
We've got the Fold five and theFlip five from Samsung. There's things
to choose from, and don't ragon Android people, it's I'm sick of
(35:28):
being bullied. Oh, the highTech Tuxon has an Android. Damn straight

fun Monday, the front of goodhappy hours and all that stuff. Halloween's
coming up. My favorite holiday ofthe year is Halloween holiday. Can we
get debate about this? It's wedon't we don't get off of school,
even though we probably should. Imean, it's not Christmas, it's we're
(40:51):
not celebrating in the you know, somebody's birth when it's it's not Thanksgiving.
We're you know, we're celebrating, you know, Miles Standish and Charlie Brown.
It's not January first, we're celebratinga new year. It's but the
is Valentine's Day a holiday? IsSaint Patrick's Day a holiday? Now?
July fourth, Yes, that's aholiday. Celebrating our independence. Halloween.
(41:12):
I mean, listen, we coulddo if we define holidays of gift cards
from Hallmark or whatever and candy thatis related to a holiday. Yes,
because Valentine's Day, candy City,Halloween, it's all about the candy we've
got. What are the kids,Sir, Saint Patrick's is about beer,
(41:36):
Sinko to Mayo beer and having fun. Get back that to Halloween. Though
I don't celebrate Christmas, so Halloweenwas it for me? Man and if
if, if a lot of myfriends are listening, if you know it.
I went absolutely nuts decorating my homethree boys when they were younger,
I was. I was the Halloweenhouse. We had probably at the heyday,
(42:00):
about one hundred people in our houseor in the backyard. We brought
in a bounce house, jumpy thingcatered from companies here and there. Everybody
had to dress the parents had todress up, parents had to bring I
had a theme every year. Oneyear we all had to dress up.
His breakfast food cereal, so therewas everything from you know, snap crackle,
(42:22):
pop, Tony Tiger, the Quaker, Oatsman and the whole Dallas See.
I come up with themes and everybodyhad to bring a Halloween themed food.
You know who has the great thegreatest Halloween One of the dudes I
work with here, Chad Knockanishi.Chad Knockanishi works with us here at the
(42:42):
radio station. He's a producer. He's so freaking creative. He had a
cat litter box. He literally boughta cat litter box and then he came
up with he made some yummy foodthat looked like cat litter, but it
was like tutsi rolls. And hewent out and he got a fake black
and he put it in there likeoh like it with the cat was doing
his business one every single year.He is the best point is what's the
(43:07):
hottest Healay, Callum, I'm lookingat you, hottest Halloween costume? Now
you don't have any kids, Calum. And the reason I actually had kids
to start is so I can gotrick or treating again. My oldest son,
Justin born in August. Kid wasnot two and a half months old,
sleeping my arms that October and Iwent door to door asking for a
(43:27):
candy for my little son who wastwo and a half months old. I
live and die by Reeses, andyou know that Okay, we got Travis
Kelsey and Taylor Swift blah blah, yeah yeah in in Barbie. What else
but the kids? I mean, the girls are gonna are gonna be little
tiny girls. They'll do Barbie.I guess the guys will do Ken Do
(43:52):
we do? I mean, RiannaDrake? Is it your favorite football player?
Is it anybody political? Remember theTrump mask. Every time there's a
there's a there's a national election,there's the mask, the Biden mask,
the Trump mask, the George Bushmask. I remember going back, Remember
the Jimmy Carter mass. That's howfar I go back. Favorite mask seven
(44:13):

Reeses, which, by the way, I think the Reese's line now is
probably about two hundred and eighty fivedifferent categories and pieces of everything. Feel
free to ship them here to thestation for me, and I will share
them with other underprivileged people who neverget candy. I'm lying. I'm actually
(44:37):
gonna eat every single one of thatseven one three two one two five nine
five V. When we come back, I'm gonna talk about I just got
an email, though, Michael, what is the number one app that you
use not on your phone? Whatis a program or a piece of software
or a website that you go tomost often? And I thought about it,
and I actually have an answer. It is probably one of the more
usable apps online that I've ever usedbefore, because it does so many things.
(44:59):
I'll tell you what that is.Yep, it's me again. We're
back. We still got about fortyminutes or so, forty five minutes of
this high tech Texan show. Thankyou for tuning me in late night for
(45:22):
all you people driving late at nightcoming home from the bars. Thank you
for tuning in to nine fifty am. That's right. We do a repeat.
Just it's it's it's not we havelack of programming. It's just damn
good content. For almost a quarterof a decade here, it's called the
High Deck Dechsan Show. We dotalk more about technology. We do all
(45:45):
of consumer lifestyles. Coming up,I'll talk about some of the cars.
I every week I get to drivinga car. This is people don't believe
this, it's we do get Wewe have perks. Everybody's got a perk
in what they do. You know, maybe your company got tickets to sports
events or whatever. Actually we dohere, even though I don't get any
Astros tickets, the fact that webroadcast the Astros game, but that's okay.
(46:07):
I got some concerts here and there. What I do, specifically,
it's I have to review products, and so companies will send me a lot
of cool things. And I talkedabout kitchen gadgets last hour, because you
know, I was giving you ideasof what the buy or what the return
from your Amazon Prime deck. ButI also, fifteen plus years ago started
(46:30):
reviewing vehicles and cars and trucks. There's an organization I am a member of,
actually a board member of it.It's called the Texas Auto Writers Association,
where fifteen plus years ago, they'reactually used to be people who write
wrote things like in the Houston Chronicle. Like a good friend of mine,
Tim Spell, used to be theautomotive see your automotive writer for you know,
(46:52):
the for the Houston Chronicle, alot of syndicated stuff, you know,
Car and Driver, all these magazinethey review vehicles, and so manufacturers
lend for about a week or sovehicles for auto writers and auto reviewers to
test. I am on that listevery single week of the year, I
(47:15):
get a brand new car to drive. It is not from a dealership.
I do not endorse a dealership.I don't know why I don't endorse a
dealership. Maybe our sales folks herea little lazy and they forget that.
I, for fifteen years have reviewedcars. I'm also very picky with dealerships.
I do know some good dealerships, and there's probably only one dealership in
this entire area who I would endorse, and I'm not saying that. But
(47:37):
let's go back to the manufacturers.I get to drive trucks, I get
to drive sports cars, I getto drive Mini vans, I get to
drive electric cars. Don't know whatI'm gonna get because it comes from a
service that really kind of gathers thesevehicles, most of them made in Michigan
because that's where a lot of ourmanufacturing is, and I get to play
with them. So my review andI do not get paid. It is
zero percent paid. It is onehundred percent content. I will tell you
(48:01):
if this car is kind of crappy, I will tell you if this car
is an incredible bot. I willtell you if this vehicle is something that
the first vehicle that you should test. You you'd be looking for a car.
I mean, I'm gonna tell youlike it is. So if you
want me. If you're thinking aboutbuying a vehicle, and maybe you're deciding
between one or two. Maybe youwant a three row suv, maybe you
(48:23):
want a fast sports car. Maybewhat's your favorite electric vehicle? Feel free
to call, feel free to emailme. Go to high tech text in
dot com found my email and justsay, Michael, have you reviewed anything
in this category? And I willbring it. I'll respond to you or
I'll bring it up on the topicover here. Over the past few weeks,
I have driven. I was ina really, really impressive Buick last
(48:45):
week and I didn't even know theyreleased this thing, and I had it.
It's called the Buick Invista E nV I S t V I S
t A. It's a SUV tworows, hatchback, amazing room and for
the price. Think this thing isright around twenty nine thousand dollars. I'm
all over this place. This isgood. I was very impressive with Buick.
(49:07):
It's not your father's Buicks, notBuick and Vista. It's good ride,
comfort, nice technology. That's anew one. That I never heard
of. Currently this week, I'mat a Corvette Stop yep, my favorite
car of all time. I ama vet guy. I will next week.
I will give you the full playby play of how that work electure
(49:28):
vehicles. I'm down on those twothat are pretty good. I'll give you
more reviews later in the show. But I have to pay off this thing.
I have to pay off an emailthat I tease. Got an email
over here. This is from Jennifer. Jennifer is in pair Land. Jennifer
says, Hey, Michael, whatis your most used app or a piece
of software that you just can't livewithout? And I thought about that,
(49:51):
and then I go into my desktopbecause I at home. I pretty much
live and die on my desktop, and I'm looking for my most used apps,
and I forgot about it, likeit should have been popped into my
mind because of course I use thisevery and this again, I'm just telling
you this. This is not apaid anything. I wish this company would
pay me because I use it sooften too. I use it. I
use a piece of software, anapp called it's not even a software,
(50:13):
it's it's a web based utility.You don't even need to download anything.
It's called Zamsar. Anyone zam Zaarand what it is. It's an online
file conversion website if you need toconvert any file into almost any other file
(50:34):
format. I've used this thing forten years, twelve years. I used
to recommend app like you know, kiss my app? That was my thing?
What was my app of the day. I don't do it. This
thing probably is my all time favorite. It's not it, I mean you
can download it. I don't usethis as an app because I just literally
go to zamzar dot com and Iconvert things. It'll take document file formats,
(50:57):
so we could take anything from wordmaking a PDF. It could take
image file formats, so if youwant a JPEG and you want to make
it like a PNG or something. It'll take audio file formats. And I
use Zamzar probably for audio more thananything else, because when I record things
on my show sometimes they come outas MP four files. Well MP three's
(51:17):
are actually the standard because it's morecompressed. I upload, it takes a
matter of seconds. Here's a link, and it spits it out into an
MP three. It'll convert video fileformats number thing, so from documents if
you have if you have like aCSV, which is a common Comma separated
value file. It's just a lotof information. It'll, i mean matter
(51:40):
of seconds, it'll put it intoa Microsoft word, it'll make it a
PDF, it'll make it an XLSspreadsheet. It just does a ton of
stuff. So to answer your questionagain, I'm just answering emails over here.
My most used thing that I useit so much, it's I didn't
even think about it because it's partof my almost daily, certainly four or
(52:02):
five six times a weeks conversion thing. And you can download something on your
desk that which goes up. It'sOh, by the way, it's free
to use. Now. They'll onlylet you use it one or two times
a day for free, and thenyou can sign up and you can get
a an unlimited type of thing, which in ten years I've never had to
(52:23):
do that. But that is it. And I'll I'll fill this out and
get to the bottom of the hourover here. And I got a really
good guest coming up talk about foodfavorite. What is the most used tool,
app, piece of software that yougot use. I'd love to hear
it if you If you're too shyto call seven one three two one two
five nine five. Huh, goto my x site. It's high tech
(52:45):
texting. H I g h Te c h T e x a N.
Also threads. I'm also on threads. I've been given that. Some
love high tech text and h Ig h T e c h T e
x a N. Most used Iwill type may not even so much.
Your mobile phone, I can tellyou right now. The most used is
it for me? It's either mytext or my camera or actually my email.
(53:07):
I use the Outlook email too.I don't even I rarely use my
phone app. A phone is actuallyan app on your smart device. Text
so much more something all right, when we come back, give you some
ideas. I got a fourth anniversaryof a big, really really nice,
(53:28):
high end luscious restaurant in downtown usedin debt is coming up. We'll tell
you how to get tickets about that. It's kind of a big chef thing
if you like tasting little tidbits ofdifferent food from all over the city.
You got that. And then onefinal wrap up, little cars and some
of your questions here on high Technext to shut back at it. I
(53:57):
hope everybody is having a wonderful dayor night depending on when you are listening
to this radio show also slash podcast. It is Michael Garfield. Only been
doing it for what two decades herein and around the Houston area. It's
always nice to run into not onlylisteners, but some other business owners,
and certainly I love restaurateurs. Youlisten to my show, it's certainly not
(54:17):
just technology, it's consumer lifestyle. And I do like me some eating and
I like me some drinking, andit's nice to meet the people in that
industry for all this time I've beendoing it, one of which is a
good buddy of mine who I haveseen hop and hop and hop in the
restaurant in the food and beverage serviceindustry for a long time. And this
cat has made it. He isa great guy and he continues to make
(54:38):
his mark here in and around theHouston area. He is with one of
my favorite restaurants in the city rightnow called Guard and Grace. It's downtown
Houston, along with other cities thatif you haven't been at, this is
I mean, if you want steaks, if you want fish, if you
want cocktails, and the decor isgreat, you really need to check this
out. But I'm gonna let myman in his big mouth to tell it
(55:00):
to us in his own words. His name is Elliott Wood. He's the
general manager of Garden Grace. He'sbeen on the show many many times before.
Ellie. Remember back in the daywhere one of your restaurants you created
a cocktail named after me? Rememberthose days? Oh, that's right,
I do remember that. Yeah, the high Tech Texan Teenie or the high
Tech Teeny. There it was,Ellie. You put me on the map.
(55:22):
I'm gonna put you on the map. Now. Is that a good
reciprocation? I love it. Man, let's go, let's go. No,
I'm serious. But you have beenin the industry of walk congrats man.
You continue to excel and really findyourself with some great organizations. And
actually you're bleeding Guarden Grace, whichis in downtown Houston. And for those
who've never been there, how wouldyou describe it? I mean, I
(55:43):
walk in. It's just first ofall, it's the design I didn't want
to eat. It's like can yousee him number one? Oh, by
the way, you be a phenomenalfood. How do you describe your place
from top to bottom? Well?Absolutely, you know it is a delight
for this sense. It is allthe way across the board. We are
the modern state house, which differentiatesus a little bit. You know,
there's a lot of great steakhouses inHouston, a lot of great steakhouses that
(56:05):
are serving amazing food. But withus, the modern steakhouse speaks to a
more contemporary approach to what we're doing. It is the design that you've mentioned.
We've won quite a few architectural awardswith this fifteen thousand square foot location
here in Houston. The music weplay is different, it's more contemporary,
but even how the food itself iscrafted. We are founded by one sleeve
(56:27):
haftooed rock star chef out of Hawaii, and it definitely shows every steak is
not just steak on a plate. We finish it with beald demi chived butter
nok fired carrots, and then youcan definitely see the inventiveness when it comes
together and the other dishes that complementthe menu. Chef Troy Guard likes to
bring elements together and makes them workthat you wouldn't imagine and your life that
(56:47):
would come together. We have thisamazing hamachi sashimi dish that we finished with
strawberry pop rocks on the plate. It's always a show. That's crazy,
man, it's great. And youknow, whether it's that or red fish
from the Gulf that we finished withpopcorn, it's lovely to see how these
different elements can come together. Andthat's part of what defines us as the
(57:07):
contemporary steakhouse or continental social cuisine, which is what all of Chef Troy his
restaurants are really a celebration of histravels and his coming up throughout the restaurant
industry and his life and his careerand Chef Troy Gard you talk about I
know he's based in Denver, andI've met him so many times because he
comes back and forth all the time. He'll be in town this next month
(57:30):
of November. We'll talk about thesect. But just a creative guy and
he hires some good people too.I know. He can't be here in
your kitchen day to day. Soyou've got Chef Adam on site, who
is a character himself, and it'sjust the presentation and everything is it's so
good. And you know, listenlike I do, like a little red
meat, but your fish and justeverything else. You talk about tomachi too,
(57:52):
it's one of the reasons why Igo, because you know, I
bring a group of people, theyget their phenomenal stakes on your meat board,
your meat flatter, which is justsomething that people continue to talk about.
And then I get my great salad, my great martinis. You just
you suit the census for everybody.Absolutely. Yeah. And you mentioned those
boards. That's something signature we doas well. We call them chin going
(58:14):
boards. It's actually Texas wood. It's a live edge wood that we take
and we were able to put aspread of different cuts of meat in front
of a guest. And if you'vegot a party or four or six,
it's an opportunity to really try afew different kinds of steaks, seafood and
see what we're about all in onevisit, so everybody has a little something
to try. I only just fouror six. I mean I think you
(58:35):
have a party of one hundred ofboard. I mean you do a lot
of restaurant buyouts. I've been toso many private parties because you got it's
a it's a two level restaurant.You don't find a lot of two level
restaurants, certainly in downtown Houston thatis just just equipped for so many parties
in terms of your cock deilary overhere, your sit down dinners, your
presentations. I mean, this spaceis amazing. It's the location exactly what's
(58:57):
the address, because I already gottwo emails coming in. Where are you?
We're at a five hundred Dallas Street. We're in the Allen Center,
downtown intersection of Smith and Dallas. Our la is right out front there and
you'll find us in the first floor. You come in and you got our
signs right there, and we arefifteen thousand spur feet, so it's a
big footprint. It's hard to miss. And like you said, it's two
stories. We've got five different privateroom configurations, so whether it's eight guests
(59:22):
or eighty, we have a wayto accommodate him and do everything from birthdays
to corporate luncheon and dinners. We'retalking to Elliot. What Elliott is the
general manager of Guard and Grace. It is downtown, the contemporary steakhouse.
So I mentioned the fact that TroyGard himself is coming to it comes to
town regularly, but he'll specifically behere Elliott, and this is what we
(59:42):
call teeming it up for you.On Wednesday, November fifteenth, you guys
are celebrating your I can't believe itfourth anniversary because I remember going to your
grand opening. Seem like, yesda, your fourth anniversary. You got to
get give me the give me theskinny of what's happening that night. Yeah.
Absolutely, we are calling this anOhanna affair. We're celebrating our fourth
anniversary and that will be November fifteenthhere at Garden Grace. It's a celebration
(01:00:07):
with some other local chefs. We'recollaborating that evening to make a culinary adventure
come to light. Chef Troy isgoing to be joined by Chef hugo Ortega,
Aaron Bludorn, Travis McShane, LeviGood Chef Drake Leonards, all amazing
chefs here locally in Houston. Andthen we're benefiting a nonprofit called Kids Meals,
(01:00:28):
Inc. Which is an amazing, amazing foundation whose mission is to end
childhood hunger here in Harris County. So all in all and amazing events.
We're going to have passed fights thatare created by all the chefs. We're
going to have a couple of signaturecocktails we create. We're just gonna throw
a party. It's going to bea great time. You can find the
tickets at Gardengrace dot com. There'sseventy five dollars taxi fortuity. So we're
(01:00:52):
looking to bring in, you know, hundreds of people for a celebration like
no other here for our fourth anniversaryat Garden Grace. You listed a lot
of some chefs that I'm familiar with, Levi Good obviously from Good Company.
You got Blue Dorm, which isa hot restaurant in itself. You know
right now Hugo or Taga Man,that dude is just got some kara calling
(01:01:12):
up and down. And so ithow these collabs work. Does does does
chef Troy Guard do? They Theykind of get together and they just have
the They sit, they sit likewhat's the craziest thing that we can come
up with or you know, ortake obviously, do you want to put
your Latin spin on something? AndI'm going to put my Denver spin on
something. I mean, I'd loveto sit in a planning room with that
stuff. So you know, that'sthe real fun part of what we do.
(01:01:34):
And you know the day of whenthese events happen, you're going to
see these chefs come together with theirteams and they've already got what we call
a mes setup of what's going togo into the dishes, and they will
team up with actual team members fromGuarding Grace. So there'll be a different
station set up in the kitchen foreach one of these chefs, and they
will showcase how to build one ofthese plated bites as we call it,
(01:01:59):
and then our team will take itfrom there and reproduce that and make two,
three, four, five hundred differentbytes for that chef. So we
will have thousands of bites floating therestaurants throughout the event, so you can
taste these wonderful creations from each oneof these celebrity chefs here in Houston.
That's a great way to sample somany things. That plus, also if
(01:02:19):
no one's ever been to Guard Grace, it's a great opportunity for you just
to kind of, you know,go in there and take a look around
so you can come back again. An Ohana affair. Going back to the
chef, Troy Guard's Ohai Hawaii roots. What's the dress? Man? I
need to start planning right now.Do I go talks or do I put
a layer around my neck? Wheredo I go? I'm torn? You
know, we will be happy withyou being here with whatever you decide to
(01:02:42):
wear. Michael Garfield hijack asks andI'm just happy to be joining us and
be in the building. But youknow, it is a steakhouse, modern
steakhouse, and we just most everybodyaddress is like kind of a casual elegance,
but we're here to have a goodtime. It's a cocktail party.
We're gonna have the patio as well, So if you're leaving work, the
event starts at five pm, soyou can come ready for like a happy
(01:03:06):
hour vibe and let that spill intothe evening as well. Agains, it's
actually my business card. I'm readyto go. This is the jet set
people. Elliott Wood, general managerof Garden Grace Downtown of the Allen Center.

for Halloween on the holidays, That'swhy we shopped on Amazon Prime. This
world is so big. It's justtough to realize that there's just a lot
of crap going on everywhere. Sogo ahead and hug your kids and try

saying don't go out to your grocerystores and get your meat. But don't
go out to the grocery stores getyour meat. You ever actually ordered meat
from a real cattle rancher here inTexas and have it delivered to your door
(01:06:18):
and it's up to a side ofbeef, half a side of beef,
quarter side of beef. Have itready to go when you're refrigerator, a

Thomas Cattle and Catering dot com.Thomas Cattle and Catering dot com. All
right, now I'm getting hungry people. All right, what do we wrap
(01:07:42):
up over here? We talked aboutthe Amazon. I got some emails over
here. People bought a lot ofAmazon Prime stuff. A lot of people
seem to be that you waited. This is this. Amazon used to do
their Prime Day every year in July, which they did, and now they're
holding a second one. This isI think the second or third year they've
done it in October. It wastwo days earlier this week, but it
seems to be because I haven't seenAmazon release any This is how many products
(01:08:06):
we sold, and this is ourrecord deal. I think people now they're
so comes customed to waiting for BlackFriday deals, which and if you go
back to the traditional why do theyname it Black Friday? It was the
day after Thanksgiving. Black Friday nowpretty much is going to start the end
of October or early November. Somaybe people I haven't been used the Amazon
(01:08:27):
Prime thing, so anyway, whatever, And so I'm getting all the lot
of questions, which product is thebest? Did I do the right thing
by waiting to buy the earbudgs orthe earphones or something before the Black Friday?
Yeah, you're fine. You're goingto see probably better deals from all
these other manufacturers over the next twomonths. So if you missed out on
Amazon or you're not an Amazon Prime. Remember, fine, good for you.
(01:08:54):
You still got a ton and I'mgonna start counting down that things here
in the next give you about twoweeks or so off to Halloween. There
is a consensus that the number oneopall Halloween costume seems to be Taylor Swift
and uh, Travis Kelcey. Wantto be funny. If somebody, you
(01:09:14):
know, these kids who in theNFL is just loving the publicity because they're
bringing in so many young female viewersto the Kansas City Chiefs NFL game.
I want to be funny. IfTravis kelce has a brother who plays for
the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason kelce wantto be funny. If Taylor Swift costume
and somebody brought a Jason Kelsey GreenEagles shirt versus the Travis Kelcey, they
(01:09:38):
get it mixed up. Actually wouldbe funnier because I'm so sick of seeing
and hearing about the Travis Kelsey TaylorSwift thing. Somebody should go is Jason
Kelcey and Rihanna the other Kelsey youknow. I think he's married though,
so Kenon Barbie is a close Numbertwo and then Barbenheimer, somebody's gonna go
half as Barbie and half is Oppenheimerbarbon Irick because those movies were released in
(01:10:00):
the same day back in July.So other than that, we've got I'm
getting more emails in tweets over hereclowns devils, which is sexy? At
what age do you become the sexynurse versus a nurse? Sadly right now
(01:10:24):
that age is getting young. It'seasily in college, if not late high
school years all's And by the way, people are already offering to get their
excess recees after October thirty first andsend them over. I really don't need
all that chocolate and peanut butter, but those are the two greatest substances known
to man. Won't give out thephone number because we're getting ready to wind
it up over here. But anythingthat you missed, we are going to
