Speaker 1 (02:21):
But we always started the podcast properly with something we
like to call what You're doing, where we talk about
shows and movies. We've been watching the games, we've been playing,
the lives we've been living.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Yeah, and just wrapping up one little, fun.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Little topic because it is Monday, Kevin Verse, Monday's episode
you get to go first.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Good sir.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Well, this weekend was along with your birthday celebration, also
my wife's birthday celebrations.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
She got a year older.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
She's you know, she's getting up there with all the
rest of us. We're living this millennial middle aged life.
Is It's weird because on the inside, I just want
to drink Ecto Cooler and watch the Power Rangers.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
But that's just men.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
But to celebrate, we went to the Trifecta Food Truck Festival,
which is on the State Fairgrounds in Timonium in Maryland.
It's basically held on the infield of a horse track,
So if you look at a horse track, you have
the outside where all the sand and dirt is. Inside's
full of grass, So we basically have a ring of
ring of fool trucks. And on both sides of each
(03:24):
end of the track is too are two stages with
a bunch of cover bands. Basically spot music all day long,
and it's probably about forty food trucks out there and
all the food we can imagine. But the only thing
they didn't have to snap probably Italian food. Everything else represented.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
That's one of the harder things to do because it
takes longer. You know, Yeah, you want to.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Get spaghetti wan to go? I guess.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
I don't know. But they had Indian food. They of
course had your classic American fair burgers.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
And fried Did they have fried cheese on a stick?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
They didn't, But we have bacon on the stick.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Oh okay, Well that you could just grab the bacon.
I don't know, put it on a stick.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Well, this bacon is like thick cut. It comes to
a variety of sausage. Unbelievable. I'm not a red meat guy,
but if I'm somewhere with bacon a stick, I'm like, well,
a few months, I can have a bigan on a stick.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Right, it's no big deal.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Now they have kettle cord, then, did you get it?
That's Kevin's classic move.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
There was a popcorn truck, but I didn't go to
the popcorn truck. My wife wanted to go go to
the funnel cake truck instead.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yes, it wasn't your birthday that's where you would have
gone birthday.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
And honestly, this particular funnel cake funnelike truck called funnel Cake.
You want to follow my Instagram, it's funny funnel cake.
They sold a funnel cake chicken sandwich, which is basically
a chicken a.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Chicken breath seems in between two funnels. That seems massy.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
I don't know about that. That's too far. I didn't
get it. I didn't get it yesterday, but I have
gotten it before. And after about three bite, you're like,
I'm full.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I don't need to be eating this anywhere.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
And of course if you want it comes with bacon.
It's really anything what to do. And of course along
with all that, we had the normal trucks. We had
Jimmy's out there for seafood, Conrad Seat Food, a bunch
of crabcake trucks was out there.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
They had a lactose free ice.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Cream truck, which was very very thoughtful because your boy
has to give lactos down.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Don't got milk it.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah, but I love the software man.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
They had a pizza truck.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Pizza truck was actually pretty funny because I went there
because there's another ice crea.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Truck next to the piza truck.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Trucks out there by the way, but I could hear
them inside their truck, the pizza truck and arguing. It
was pretty tense. Like I was like, man, I think
it's like that. That's like what was the Baird version
of the food truck? Because they were just arguing the
entire time. It was pretty funny. Other than that, like
I said, we had a bunch of cover bands out there.
They're really good cover bands too. Mathon wanted to actually
join a cover band. I think maybe in my one day,
(05:54):
I kind of want to be in a cover band.
I don't know what band I will cover. Maybe you
cover a time a time period.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Okay, all right, yeah, like.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Eighties cover band, nineties cover band.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
I don't know. I feel like Vin. I mean, I
don't know. I'm not too my home. I'm a pretty
good singer.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Next thing Kevin is gonna say I want to join,
you know, my cover band is an a cappella cover band.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
I'm not doing that.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
We're gonna we're gonna cover pentatonic songs.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
I need, I need melody, I need drums, and I
needs and I'm not gonna be up there singing like
a jerk.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
All right.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
We had a great time out there. Other than that,
we didn't do much else this weekend. I will say
this is just more of a mental health check thing.
We're across a troubling post from a former employee, uh
that worked in my particularly. You know, you know, I'm Hoodie,
but work's working at my station.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
I'm Matt. Now check on your friends.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Make sure there it's always good. I don't know what's
going on. Besides, like me and Hoodie, even though we
don't talk every day every day, at least once a
week outside of the show, we hey, what's going on
and we just real quick. Doesn't have to be along.
Just make sure, like you know, I'm breathing and I'm
not Kevin.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Is that you? Is that a picture of you? Exactly?
Speaker 3 (07:07):
And the same thing with me to Hoodie, I'm checking
how you're doing. How's more doing that dogs? You know,
just just checking on your friends. He wants on this, okay,
because even though you might see him post it on
Twitter or whatever, sometimes you need to check on the
person to make sure the person behind the picture of
the profile was okay. So did that with a couple
of friends and hopefully we can get this one for
our friend turned around pretty quickly. We want to do
some work and make sure that he's going to be
(07:28):
okay going forward. So that's one thing I do want
to say.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Now, back to your wife's birthday, is there anything she
has to watch on her birthday?
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Like I do.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
I'll tell you it a little bit like she's like,
we're going to watch it because my birthday.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Not really, but she always says like she's a big
horror fan, but a lot of the horse he would
like to watch you can't really watch because the kids
are around sometimes. So yesterday when we woke up because
we didn't go to the food truck until like twelve
twelve thirty, she said, I'm staying upstairs in the room.
I'm getting my snacks, I'm watching my horror movies.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
You got the kids. I'm like, no more birthday.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Probably you hear screams coming from the don't go up
to their kids.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
You don't want to go up there.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
She loves all that.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Like that.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
That that more like trying to say like not gothic horror,
but kind of like the what just came out? Dang
it movie just came out with to get the guy
from bacha Man two.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Oh, the conjuring movies stuff like.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
That, Like that stuff is kind of for me and
even for the kids on they're like, what are you watching?
This is weird. So she likes to watch that stuff
but away from everyone so she can enjoy.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
But anything, you know, what what what do you watch?
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Inittering to me, yeah, for me, Uh, birthday was I
have the whole full floor. We're just talking about the
birthday topics. Sorry, okay, yes, sorry, birthday was good. Obviously,
podcasts that was great, watching the Anticona trailer which was funny.
After that, what did you do for more? And I
went to a barbecue spot uh in Orleanston that was okay.
(08:57):
I think I've realized I'm not a fan of she
mac and cheese like it needs to be for like
the noodle needs to be a little al dente to
a degree.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Yeah dente that's the way to go.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
I don't know if that, but because it's a place
where you get a meat and two sides and more
got salmon because she's fish now, so I got brisket,
which was okay, but my sides was mac and cheese
and it turned out being mashed potatoes. It was just
too mushy, mushy, mushy mushy, you know, like no breakup there.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Usually you want to go like you want to go
like mac cheese and go green green beans or something
like that.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Of that picture, that's okay, But that was okay. But
the birthday tradition for me is we always watch a
New Hope. Uh and usually it's the last forty minutes
of it because.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
By the time we get home, I gotta go to
bed or whatever. Uh.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
So we watched the last pretty much the Trench Run.
We had enough time this time that was like, well,
we can't watch all of the New Hopes that we said,
let's watch the last hour of Rogue one after too,
so you watch that too.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
That's funny that I was Actually, I'll keep ft someone
in my office and always wanted some kind of movie,
whether it's like the Company's going it was like the
tire Fans franchise last week, it was all the Marvel movies.
This week's with the Star Wars and that was like
the leave my office to go get some water. I
looked up, Oh cool, the Trench Front, like.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
I'll finish that thing right. Yeah, it was funny because
Moore has only seen rog Going once and obviously she
didn't watch and Or, but for me watching and I'm like, oh, man,
like Cassie's the main character of this movie.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
I don't even care about it or so anymore, but
it is funny.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Just like She's like, I forgot this is the one
everyone died and I was like yeah, She's like why.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
I'm like, well, it makes it real, makes it more impactful.
She I don't like it. Okay, it's messed up.
Speaker 4 (10:39):
They broke to her so out of jail it just
to kill her.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Yeah, Like that's kind.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
Of messed up.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Casually is a war, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
But on top of that, we had part two of
the celebrating yesterday went to Medieval Times at Arundel Mills,
which is definitely worth it if you've never been before.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
It was seventy dollars a person, but there's.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Like discount code, so I don't know what it actually
was with the code, but it's a fun time like
you can go with as a date night. Maybe not
a first date. Maybe you guys should be dating for
like three years before you're going to do this type
of thing. You know, but I don't think that that
is a first date. That is definitely not a first
Let's eat with their hands and you see me get
rowdy for a night that isn't had a night either one.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Of you guys gonna be way too into it for
another person.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Yeah, but it was fun.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
We stayed at a hotel, so that that helped a
lot because we could drink and do whatever after. But
we had myself, Eric, his son Max, my friend Matt,
mostly pretty much all the Scaley siblings, which is great,
and it was pretty much everyone's first time besides More
and Iye and our night.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
He was the bad guy and it was cool.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
We're like, yeah, we were our section like rooting for
the guy who's evil and every other section rooting against them.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Was like, we want him to win. Let him win.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
He's the bad boy.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
That's funny. I thought it was one of the too
mc mills, I don't know what, only one just.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
In the rental Mills area, so it's, uh, it's worth it.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
It's the food is okay, you know, but for seventy
dollars is kind of the show and the food admitting
so it kind of works.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
It's all good.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
The only thing that gets you on is drinks because
you can only buy them in like souvenir cups and
can't buy them like a random plastic cup.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Yeah, my sister has been there like at least ten times.
That's like our favorite thing to do.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah, and you don't need to do the VIP package
like we did it and we got everyone in, so yeah.
I mean if VIP package you get a little more flair,
but that's really it.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
I don't have been to the one in Rental Mills,
but I remember I went to the mall one time
in Orlando, and the one there you actually can go
into the gift shop and buy the swords, which is like.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Yeah, you can buy legit swords. And Max almost made
Eric buy him a sword. I was like, I want
to see what happened. How they how do they get
this out of here? If they buy a sword?
Speaker 3 (12:52):
It had been the thing like where he picks it
up and is that the weight count of balance doesn't
work out?
Speaker 2 (12:55):
He's going I take that back. We can't take we
can't take that one.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
But it was funny because Erican Max left because the
rest of us after it ended, went to the casino
and we didn't realize the Lego store was on the
way to the casino, so we we uh we were
everyone to the bathroom. We're walking past the lego store.
Lo and behold, who do I see grabbing two lego boxes?
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Eric and his son Max and I sneak in there.
What do you do when you guys supposed to leave?
Speaker 4 (13:26):
I wanted to Max plan that this way?
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Oh whoa, yeah, well no they didn't even park over there,
so like they knew about it and walk Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
If you don't, If you don't know, Erican Max are
big lego hits. They have a legal room yea in
there in their house. It's amazing. Maybe put some pictures.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Supposed to be an office, but you know they said,
not f it. It's a lego room like.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
This one in right here is but maybe half the
size of that room, and it's full of lego.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Overall, good time. I think having if you do go
to like medieval times, at least in that area, is
clutch to get a hotel because in you can casino up.
We only spent forty dollars, didn't win anything, but the
forty dollars got a lot of gameplay, so that was
pretty good.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Did you do. What did you do slats or like
table game?
Speaker 1 (14:16):
So we did, and it is the first time I've
done it.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Is they had like.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Digital stands where you can play like digital.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Like like you can play multiple games.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
It's like so instead of you sitting at actual table,
there's like four games going on in the middle, and
you just take up a kiosk and you play the
game that whatever is playing. So I would play blackjack
and like, all right, great, I have thirty dollars. Great, more, Hey,
you can play roulette because you like roulette with the
same thirty dollars. Yeah, And then on that one kiosk,
which I thought was great because like the one to
other time I went to Maryland Live Casino and I
(14:51):
played actual blackjack, everyone was pressuring me to do the
weird like insurance thing or something.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
I don't know what the hell that is double down. Yeah,
I'm like, I don't know, I don't know. I'm just
trying to learn and play and to say I did this.
So the digital one, I think it's a way for
me to go from now on.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
That's to be smart too, cause I have a friend
who's a he's a he's a really really good poker player,
and he hates like when it's just somebody like on
their on their honeymoon or like their bachelor party sits down. Yeah,
play poker like dude, get away.
Speaker 4 (15:18):
You have no idea?
Speaker 2 (15:19):
What do I'm just here to have a good time, Kevin, Okay,
that's me. I'm the guy in the honeymoon or a
bachelor party. Have fun.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
I play.
Speaker 3 (15:25):
I played blackjack at the casino. Want granted, fellow Santa
dres I know what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
That's the only gambling.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Kevin's to play the sixty dollars video game me paid for.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
That's it exactly.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
I rapped the bag before came. He I have all
the money I need.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Know that they're waiting outside for me. She'll we get
a couple of hands in.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
I put him.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
I'm putting the corn thel.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
Shoot.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Let me spend that big roulette wheel in the DTA
five casino one queer quick, real quick.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Let me see if I get that car.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Damn, I want to play that dang it.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I don't know what Kevin's downloading downloading right now. It's
he starts to jitter, what let me start do that?
And Kevin's internet connection goes down immediately well, and that's pro.
I did finish Twisted Metal, uh thought was pretty good.
Set up a season three pretty well as well. So uh,
we'll see if it gets I.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Think didn't get renewed. Actually don't know Twisted Metal.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
I have to watch it yet, but it seems like
the actual show having a great time.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, and it really does. The cast like having a
good time.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Season three hasn't been confirmed yet. It is one of
those things like, well, there's not a huge audience for it,
but it is a good show. So Peacock depends what
you want to do, especially now you lost WW.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Speaking of that, I did start that new Rick and
Morning inspired horror show on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
It's like Hunted House or something, right.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Yeah, it's not terrible. It's very frantic. It seems like
how Rick and Morty is frantic before sci fi. They're
trying to go that same vibe before horror. So I'm
gonna give it a few more, a few episodes.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
Yeah. I like it, like I didn't hate it.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Is it a weekly release or are they all out now?
Speaker 3 (16:59):
They're all out there, like twenty seven minutes long something
like that. Like I tuckled a few times, but I
might I might, I might dive into a little bit more.
I think I think I like you, but I'm not
entirely sure yet, So I don't be watching.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Well, that's what we've been watching. What we've been doing.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
You can let us know what you've been doing at
infinite underscore pods like Andy Drocon survived Halloween Horrorites.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Uh, but let's get on into it, Kevin, it is
time for it's time.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
No, no, no man, First things first, rest.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Well, Daredevil Board Again is getting bored again again.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
For a third time, and again again and again and
again and again. So in case you missed it, I
think it was on like Thursday. I think when this happened. Yeah, Thursday.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Marvel officially greenlit a third season of Daredevil Board Again,
which will begin shooting in twenty twenty six. If you
didn't know the second season, I believe it's wrapped.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
I think it's finished. Yeah, it is.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
It is because because Punisher or John Burnhal was filming
his stuff for his like one shot presentation thing or whatever,
and then he's filming stuff for Spider Man.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Yeah, So Brad Wenderbaum, who's had a streaming for Marvel Studios,
told ign that in terms of Daredevil, we've green lit
for season three. We start shooting next year, which would
make Daredevil the longest running Marvel Studio show in the
sort of Disney plus era.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Which is pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
I guess that makes sense because because they read did
what they want to do last time, but before it
was gonna be Daredevil was just a new character and
they was going but then they know that the stuff
actually happened moving, Yeah, that story does that makes sense.
I'm happy for this because I remember originally season one
is gonna be eighteen episodes, I believe, and they kind
of they kind of shaded down basically kind of split
(18:49):
everything up. So it makes me confident to know that
they have a plan basically, yeah, and it's not gonna end.
Season two was like, Okay, we're done, but what happened everything?
We're gonna go all the way through this to the
proper ending, maybe even get season four.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
Who else.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Yeah, I think the interesting thing is, like like you
just said, like season one was supposed to be eighteen
and got split up, and season one season two, it
will be interesting.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
I believe there's a lot of writer rooms shuffle for whatever.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
It was eighteen episodes and splitting it into two seasons
to see that team now that they've had a full
second season under their belt of just thumb. All right, great,
now we'll do season three. Obviously we know Jessica Jones.
I mean, it's kind of pretty much happening.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
It's been the most lead thing ever for that show.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
But it would be interesting him in the season three
all right, great, here here we're gonna try again the Defenders.
We're gonna see if it works this time or not.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
Well, it'd be cool because I think in the compos
the Defenders were actually are actually led by doctor Strange.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
I doubt we're get I doubt we get better at
a coverbatch on the show for the Defenders. Yeah, but
I'm Megan, Megan, a man can dream. You know, maybe
we'll get Kamala Khan, that's all you get.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
Also to your point about the writing staff too, if
I'm if I remember correctly, the season one production took
place during the writers and actors strike, so this they
actually get a full like off season basically preparing for
season two, which which maybe that's the reason why about Oh,
we have more story to tell, let's do.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
A season three. You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Yeah, that makes me e's more confident now to think
about it.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Yeah, I mean, and I think the cool thing is.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Season one kind of ending on a dire note, you know,
because it really was, oh crap, Kingpin really won, like
he's took it over the city and are here like
you know, Punishers trapped and then you know, Dared Devil's
trying to recruit people, and it wasn't really anybody really cared.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
About it at the moment.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
I think season two is, oh, we get one step closer,
and then Kingpin is still the.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Over archian villain.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
You just gotta get through the lieutenants, I think is
what we're gonna do pretty much.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Yeah, I'm really looking forward to because you say, like
a dire note, how just captured. I hope that escape
from that area is like a one shot of him,
just recommend.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, maybe that is.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Maybe it is.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
We get season two and then he's in the in
the cage the entire time. At the end of season two,
he's gone, and then that's where your presentation says, where'd
he go?
Speaker 2 (21:13):
And then he pops up in season.
Speaker 4 (21:14):
Three Punisher coming this fall. Whatever.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Yeah, make makes a lot of sense. And it also
gives gonna be confidence too, because it's not confidence, but
it makes you happy that Charlie Cox is getting like
his I won't say getting getting his money, whether he's
they're paying him, but like he's been this character since
like what twenty twenty fourteen. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm happy
he's getting a chance basically to see it from beginning
to end. Yeah, and that like, okay, we did this thing.
(21:38):
Now Letflix is done. Then we got this new guy who.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
Had a good run. We're done with you.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Yeah, And it really is, if you think about it,
this is what we kind of wanted ten years ago
because the past three years, I guess we're two years,
it's kind of been Oh these days He Plus shows
are okay, they're you known't be honest, like Loki in
a couple occasions like all right, cool, they really just
that up things for later on.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
But and a lot of people are like what are
we doing now?
Speaker 1 (22:05):
We're kind of looking at going forward, like what's the
next big Disney Plus show for Marvel. We kind of
had this already ten years ago with Netflix and the movies,
and the whole time we're like, whoa is this gonna
be connected. Is it gonna connect? Hey, you finally have
your Defenders Universe. Disney Plus owns it. They're working it
on his TV series and all that good stuff that
will connect to the actual movies, which is what we
(22:26):
kind of wanted ten years ago.
Speaker 3 (22:27):
And I think it's smart too that they have like
your TV characters and your movie characters, and I have
them going back and forth, because then I feel like,
for me, I love I don't care, I love it.
But I do think one of the reasons why Thunderbolt
didn't make as mu funny as it should have made
it was because all the guys are TV characters and
they weren't really introducing any big movie like Lena Belova
(22:48):
was in Black Widow, but I came out during the
pandemic side, and the same with our Dad and what
was in the movie. The only movie character in that
movie was probably Bucky Bucky and the Ghosts.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Well, yeah, I mean that half the team you have
teams was in the movies.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
So so I'm looking forward to that in the Secret Wars,
if we see their double and secret Wards, it'll be
more rewarded and know of like oh shoot us dared Devil,
not just like well, I'm watching the Devil Pay Pay
for Sick Awards. Yeah, he kind of shows up.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
I think the other thing is too with that.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
If if that is a strategy going for, which it
looks like it kind of is, you don't waste appearances.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
I feel like two degree.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Mainly I'm relating this to John Cena's match with brock Lesnard,
which was a waste this week. But John Cena has
w w John Cen has like six appearances left, so
like you gotta make those all count, and so every
time he pops up it's impactful. I think the same
thing happens with Marvel of like, oh cool when Yolena
shows showed up in Hawkeye, Like hell yeah, that's getting
(23:51):
me young Avengers tease.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
But you know, if.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
Who's showing up and everything, I don't uh.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Uh Miss Marma kind of been in a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
We'll say We'll just say, uh, Anthony Mackie as Captain
America have been popped. If he pops up and a
bunch of stuff, you're like, all right, cool, he's in everything.
So when he pops up on screen, I'm like, oh,
you don't get the big pop because you.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
You've seen him one hundred times already, you know.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
Makes it makes a lot of sense.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
And again I think Daredevil season this has been season
three right season four technically.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Yes, I know it's kind of divided by most people.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
I thought it was really good to see the journey
of Matt didn't realize he needs to embrace basically his
his darker self, because you can't only you can't only
serve this world and in the white you gotta be
a little black sometimes because Kingpin chews up and spits
out the white, the bright bright light, wie white light,
(24:48):
and he needs to be Daredevil and break some skulls.
I love that scene with him running down the running
down that seward hardway to fight the painter guy. I'm like, yes,
get him, get him?
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Uh any Joe Arden did say Wald was the big
care kink for a while. I think obviously cameos kind
of work hit and miss out like with that that
kind of has made Long a bigger deal for us
to a degree. But I think it's more with this,
it's like all right, like you're not like, oh wonder man,
if Scarlet Witch shows up in that, maybe I'm doing
(25:18):
the wrong point, but it's it's it's the thing of
like you're saving your big characters for big moments, I
think in fleshing out the world, which is good.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
And then like I feel like when you do it
that way again, like you said, when a wonder Man
showed up a secret war, say the next two I
don't know, four, it makes wonder Man look more than
when Floor shows up on wonder Man. Wonder Man.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
It makes no sense.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Yeah, it gets like I'm more of a pad on
the back to the to the TV show because movies
are alreader the movies basically.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah, like, oh, you earned your spot to be in
the movie, you know, instead of just we're just putting
you in because you're on the TV show.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Yeah, even though that's what it is.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
And then also going back to the devil of it all,
I just love watching that street level I'm on the MCU.
They explored that more there are a lot of heroes
like Luke Cage is another one they could totally bring
back if they want to do a Luke Cage series.
I don't. I don't know because my culture is doing
that that that the other detective show was.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Like, it's like it's like a supernatural one.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Yeah, I don't know if he's available to do it,
but I mean, I think Luke Cage right now, in
the hands of Marvel would be you know, I like
Luk season one and two. I know that after season
episode six of season one it's kind of a nose eduff.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
And like, don't worry about Hershally, he wasn't in that.
He wasn't cotton Mouth. He's Blade.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
He was so good a Scott he just killed him.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Good lord, Netflix, Netflix, But Kevin, we're not done talking
about superhero shows because we're gonna go from the Disney
Plus side of things over the Prime video. Because while
you might have been watching the Summer I Turned Pretties
finale this weekend, we were watching the first three episodes
(26:57):
of gen V season two. Akay, this it off from
the Boys and my goodness, don't miss anything in the
Boys universe.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
Don't miss Yeah, I've only watched episode one. That because
you've watched them all so far. Yes, but even the
first of one, I'm just like, God, dang, this boy,
this this Boy's cinematic universe or this boys to I
don't want to be tu boysse It's so good and
(27:26):
I hope going forward, like did he just like who
wrote The Boys.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
They they're doing the X Men. Now, they're all on
the X Men.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
They're going to figure this out for us, and we're
just gonna move on with that elastica. They know what
they're doing on this show, because everything on there feels
so organic, so to speak. I feel like you could
watch gen V season one and then go right to
watching The Boys season one and understand, Oh.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
It is the same world. Yes, it just feels the same.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Kevin.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
You you asked who wrote The Boys, that would be
Gareth Ennis, who also, uh will, spent a nine year
run on Punisher on Marvel Comics.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
His Punisher run and he created Preacher. So you saw
that show on AMC.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
Maybe you give that a shot to just say it.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
I might have to get Also, I know one of
the one of the Bruce on Preacher is also Seth Rogan,
and Seth Rogan is like a producer mad man.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
He probably built the connection with them there and then
said let me do the Boys now.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Yeah, but yeah, I'm totally into it.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
I like what the story is going.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
I love that they in the first episode they're paying
tribute to I can't remember to act Chase Perdamo, Chase Perdamo,
if he did not aware he was a character in
the last season one of Gen V but he tra
actually died in a motorcycle accident after the season was over.
But in this in this world, they treated treated as
(28:45):
he was. He died at the hands of Vought basically,
And I'm just so happy that they're using that as
fueld basically for the main characters to keep doing what
they're doing. And it's so good. It's just it's so
it's so organic. It's just so believable. This is so good.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
And I think that the coolest thing with that is
like every moment they've referenced on Chaine's Perdamo's character Andre,
it does feel like one the actors are themselves in
that character, like paying tribute and like and like missing
him and grieving over him.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
And it's like, oh man, this makes the show even
more real. It's nice. I love it.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
It's it's such a good show. Now. I said, I'm
only watch the first one, so for two and three
does it kind of get you? Because it's one it
feels like more of a who Done it? This year When
it comes to the what the Dean.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Is Yeah, I think this one. There is a mystery
that pops up. I think that's the end of the
first episode of Project Odessa. I thought, actually, I did
think it was cool. That was it the first episode
that had a flashback that started opening with the scientist
I remember, yeah, yeah, I did, okay, And.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
So the cool thing is the first episode pops up.
It's called New Year, New Year.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
You see Thomas Godoalkin played by Ethan Slater who was
Bach from Wicked. Oh yeah, yes, yes, which pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Good for him.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
He's Aarona Grande's boyfriend right now for now at least,
but as cool as that.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Like, they're working on a project called Project Odessa.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
We don't know really what it is, but that's kind
of the I don't know if red herring per se
is this season, but it's one of the red herrings
this season.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
What is it? And why? Is Cipher?
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Who is the big villain who's played by Hamish link
Later who was big in the Mike Flannagan.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Midnight mass Show.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
So like, going from that to this, you're like, all right,
he's gonna play a creepy ass villain that has some
secret past or something like that, and it works. We
hate Kate and they I will tell you season episode
two and three, trying to make it sympathize for Kate,
but you're like, no, you deserve all this.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
I saw what happened to her in episode one, and
I was like, yes, yes.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
You it's what you get. That's what you did all
of this from last season. I still do think Cricket
is probably my favorite character. I think the actress Lizzie
Emma my Emma. She played by Lizzie Broadway. I think
it's just a good job of just being like a
positive character in the Boys Universe, where a lot of
(31:19):
times in the Boys Universe is very doomy and gloomy characters,
and it's very like she is looking to like help
people genuinely and try to like make it a nicer
world I guess for superheroes, which is cool.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
I thought she she's kind of like us in the show,
like she's the one that that she like. I said,
she's she's a literal good guy, like even with Marie,
she's a good guy, but shades of great to her. Uh,
I can't remember the character that Marie was romantic with.
Jordan's season Jordan, Yeah, Jordan same thing good, but the
(31:55):
shades are great to it. Cricket is literally just a
good person, Like she helped the Golden Boys brother the
entire time, I can remember his name right now, camp
Help then the entire time, even though he was crazy,
still trying to help him out, and even to the
point where she where he betrayed her, still wanted to
help him out.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
So she's literally like the light in the show, which
shooting not a thing about this the boy. She's not
gonna make any Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
I would say the second and third episodes really good,
just furthering the mystery to be as a sport as
possible for Kevin. Marie does visit her her long did
not I guess a friend of her parents that has
like info on how she grew up and all that stuff,
which is interesting. In one of the episodes, we do
(32:45):
find out that some of the rankings have moved a
lot behind the scenes thanks to Cipher, and they do
kind of go through.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Uh do you remember in sky High.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
When they did this sort of the little like gym
class was them like fighting each other. They kind of
do that, but a little more bloody and dire with Ciphers.
So it's pretty cool. I've been vibe with him so far.
It is interesting that Moore has never seen anything of
the Boys. Just he's usually what I'm watching in the
middle of the day. It's like, oh, it's bloody.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
I'm like, yeah, it's it's the Boys, It's gen v show.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
The first ten minutes for the first episod.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
No, no, we just we just think. We just think
our stars.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
That she doesn't come and she didn't watch those scenes,
or it's like I got headphones on during those scenes
because oh there is a scene in that third episode, Kevin,
you cannot watch the kids around.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
The Boys and Peacemaker are phone shows. I don't watch
those on the TV. I watched them on my phone
with one earpod and just to make sure that they
can't even hear it, because good lord, those shows man
like again really good, really watchy, really really really real.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
But overall good time and I think you need to
watch it in case you haven't. But we're not done
talking about Superhero Show because now we've gone from Disney
Plus the Prime Video.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
Now let's go on over Tage Bo Max and talk
about Julian It's a home because we're talking about Peacemakers
season two, episode five, and which is called Back to
the Suture and I Gotta stay off the bat theme
songs grown on me, Kevin, the theme song has grown
on me.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
It's funny. We were talking about this.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
We're texting back about this, and I remember texting you
when I watch our episode, I was like, Uh, I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (34:34):
It's not do you want to It doesn't come off
that energy.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
But then I found myself running around house this week
on Julian It's a home.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
So James gonna got us again. He did it what
he was doing.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
Yeah, I think it is just a song that grows
on you. And who knows. The rumor is the dance
might change, uh, the song might stay the same, but
that we are in this period where everyone reviewers have
seen the first five episodes of this being the fifth episode,
no one has seen the next three episodes, so things
could be a change, turn for the worse or turn
for the better.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
Who knows.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
I'm excited because there was actually a quote by John
seen the same. The last three episodes are basically a
new season, so I'm like, oh, I like this. I
like this a lot and seeing how we'll get to it.
But see how this one ended, I was like, oh,
it's definitely not Kansas anymore on the show, so it's
gonna be a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (35:28):
But yeah, so this.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
One pretty much kind of two main stories. I guess
we could talk about, we could sum them up, because
one really was kind of just did its own thing.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Was really more of an episode of Looney Tunes to
a degree of Elmer fun and bugs Bunny.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Bugs, Bunny my friends.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah, but essentially Eaglely's being hunted by Michael Worker's character.
I think it's Red Saint Cloud if I correct, great name,
that's right.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
Yeah, sure, we're go with that. Red Saint Wild. That's
what it is. Hunting Eagerly in the forest because he
tracked him last.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Week using his like mystical like summoning ability or something
like that.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Eventually he thinks he has a hold on him.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
He has his giant ass shotgun that is literally out
of Lotty Tunes to degree that bus, Yes, that's.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
What it was. He shoots what we think is Eagerly.
It wasn't. Eagerly.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Turns out is the primal ego being he is able
to summon a horde of eagles to maulw Saint Wild
the death while everyone else is gone, and Eagerly is
more powerful more than meets the eye.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
As a famous Transformer would say, Uh.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Yeah, I've been googling every episode before I watch it.
I'll watch him on Sundays, so episodes have been out
for a couple of days. That's cool. Does Eagerly die.
Speaker 4 (36:45):
Because they killed his ego?
Speaker 3 (36:47):
Boycott, I'm done Eagerly and Crypto, don't you touch them
because you made me love him. It's your fault, so
if you kill him, I'm done.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
I'm done. I'm out here.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
But besides that, the rest of the episode, uh, pretty much.
It starts off kind of the end of last week's
episode where Hardcore is meaning Peacemaker in the park, We're
seeing pretty much everyone in August is in that park.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
We see that Tim Meadows is agent.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Flurry is like eating an ice cream cone and then
sees a nice looking woman and drops the ice cream
cone looking at the woman.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
I mean that woman was that. I'm saying this with
as nice as I can. If you don't look at her,
like even if if you're not straight, it's like that.
That's that was the work of art.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Like, come on, okay, that's what Kevin said, but we
also see the Juno master fully working with August at
the sniper position, looking to pretty much take down Peacemaker
with a trink dart I think is what it was.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Peacemaker, realizing what's going on.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
Hides behind like multiple like dogs people running and like
people playing soccer to get the Hardcore. Eventually they do.
It was smart, he knew what was going on. He
does talk with her. Hardcore pissed at him because she
sends the She sent the co word, which U uh copaseetic,
which we're like, oh, did you ignore that? Paytention. No,
(38:11):
Peacemaker wanted to talk to Hardcore to just see if
she had any feelings for him. She said, no, you
need to get the hell out of here. He tries to,
but eventually he's he's cornered. We find out that Agent
Bordeaux actually secretly and android. She's got robo eye h
more than meets the eye as well, is about to
do the kill shot on him. Hardcore takes out Peacemaker
(38:31):
and knocks him unconscious.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
That way he doesn't die.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
I mean, very smart. I don't know they revealed she
was a cyberg before this episode.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
They did not. This was the episode that they were built.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
Yeah, cause that that was a cool, little little little
surprise there, and then hardcore, knowing was about to happen,
did a smart thing to them. Just take this guy
out naturally, so before he gets killed by the cyborgoo
shoot in the head and potentially shot. I can't remember
the guy's name, but the other artist worker two point
two percent, it's still.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
It's still a percent. Still, I win Duster two could
have altered to fight the bullet. But then we cut
back to Argus headquarters. Uh Peacemaker is in the interrogation room.
To a degree, we see that is Flurry Burdeau and
uh Rick Flagg Senior interrogated him. Rick Flagg Senior tells
(39:23):
them to leave and he beats Peacemaker up to a
bloody pole. There is one shot whereas in slow Moo
if you've seen on social media, where he knees him
against the wall and you're like boom.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
You're like, oh my god, I do wonder in this
scene probably it's probably uh the opposite, but because of
Johnson is background knowing how to take hits, that was
him and actually him and actually Frank Grillo was it
Frank Grila.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
I don't know, because I feel like Frank Grillo does
a majority of.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
His stunts, and you would assume John Cena.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
Also probably does the majority of his at least fighting stunts.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
So and for girdls.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
He also watched a trained mm A fighter team, so
I wanted he knew how to how to lay it
in without making it that look look like he's actually
card And then Johnson, who's a wrestler who knows how he's.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
He's handled brock Lessner and got handled by him, so exactly.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Exactly also real quick this in the next part of
the episode, the MVP goes to the hair and the
hair styling crew because Frank Grindle's hair in this episode.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
That's his hair. That's not the styling crew. That's just
that many a man sixty, that's his hair.
Speaker 4 (40:33):
Unbelievable. I don't have any hair, so I'm just like.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Man if I could well. Over the week, it did
go viral that he takes.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
Injection testoster testosterone. Uh yeah, and it was like, well,
I'm an actor, I'm not using the cheated sports.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
I just need to look good. I'm like, okay, okay.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
Record, I'll be on all the shotshot.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
All right, Kevin, Look all right, I don't want I
don't want those we quotes that pooled where happened to Kevin?
He said, shoot me up, Oh Lauride' right live exactly, Kevin.
Come on, no where you no, you're no know where
you live, no your environment.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
But as Chris is getting Peacemaker's getting beat up, Hardcore
does convince Economos to book Peacemaker in jail, which gives
him a file so Argusts can't disappear him, essentially that
he can have a bond and bail and all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
This prevents Rick Flax Senior from killing him.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
He's let go picked up by Adebayo, who takes him
back to the cabin. Doesn't realize Judo Masters following him,
but Chris does decide eventually, you know what I'm leaving,
I'm bouncing he go. He uh sets the little coordinates
on the little device, the portal device he has UH
so that it closes and he and eagerly go into
(41:52):
the better universe they think they're going to, which we'll
explain that what we think it actually is going forward.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
It closes up, but not before you.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
A master goes in there, who's gonna be your smokeing
gun for next season. We're next episode where we're actually
at uh. He leaves and out of Bio and vigilantwer
too late. They do get the little device before Argus arrives.
They meet up with the rest of the Eleventh Street
kids and figure out what we're gonna do, and they say, you.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Know what, We're gonna go and get him home.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
Real quick.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
To go back to the scene after the Econdoinals booked Peacemaker,
I thought it was a really cool scene because I
said an episode review a couple of weeks ago that
I thought the bird Blindest joke with Tim Metals was
a little.
Speaker 4 (42:35):
Too much after a while.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
But the scene after Econdoinals books him and Ti medals,
it's a good thing that you did that and gave
him the game like a head nod. It was like, oh, shoot,
so this character, he's a bad guy, but he's good. Yeah,
not like Rick Flay for revenge. He's like, I'm trying
to do my job and just do my job according
to the letter of the law, where Rick trying to
kill a dude. Yeah, but I thought that was a
kind of cool way to justify to kind of make
(42:58):
Tim medals as an agency for rest of people. Yeah,
after she beat him up, he beat him up the
other agent the Yeah, she was like, that's kind of like, yeah,
I like how you did that.
Speaker 4 (43:10):
That was really cool and it kind of kind of.
Speaker 1 (43:12):
Got a little weird between Flirty, but Rick Flax did
say well the flags the flag men have a way
of women or something earlier this season.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
So so I.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
Thought it's a really cool way to have to medal
be different from the rest of agents.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
Yeah, I think it is.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
A good like, oh yeah, like Argus in the DCU,
this version of the DCU really hasn't not had a
positive light and the majority of a degree with Waller
and obviously we've had Economist at hardcore, but everyone else
kind of been like wasteful and not really a good agent.
So it's cool to see, all right, cool, if Rick
Flax Senior gets deposed or something, he'll be the one
(43:48):
that steps up most likely.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
I don't know position anywise works, but yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Why I think I met at a mana Waller because
basically Chris had to kill him otherwise she could have
blew up his head.
Speaker 4 (43:59):
Yeah, so there's that too. Yeah, Yeah, it's not a
good person.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
She could pop up.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
Remember we're supposed to get that wall or show. But
that is the end of that episode. Obviously, we have
three more episodes that we said. The next episode is
titled Ignorance is Chris. The other two don't have titles
as of right now. Kevin, let's talk about predictions, because
this is really now the actual halfway point of the show.
I did appreciate it's telling Eric this, like the first
(44:28):
five episodes have really been very character building. There hasn't
really been a lot going on. We haven't really seen
Peacemaker in the actual damn costume. Min's like the first episode,
So I think the next three will be probably more
cinematic to a degree. I would assume of all three
episodes will be one big story most likely too obviously
the season of show.
Speaker 4 (44:46):
But so this this will be the.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
First episode, the full episode, probably in the alternate universe.
H like and like you said, right now, a smoking
gun is Judo Master.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
Now, go back to a theory a couple of weeks ago.
Everybody thinks this city or world that he's in right
now whatever this jurisdiction is that Peacemaker, his brother and
his dad are in maybe a like to say it
on a society run by old rules from the sixties,
say it like that. Yeah, Earth X is a great
way to put it. So if Judo Master shows up
(45:20):
into that world, I'm like, who the heck this guy?
Speaker 4 (45:22):
Why's he here?
Speaker 3 (45:22):
Yeah, that'll be a great way to reveal that I feel.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Yeah, And obviously the little teaser at the end of
the episode kind of gives you a little bit too,
But you're like, well, does that mean building into my
theory or that just because well, these are random people in.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
My house, So that's also I think.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
But the main thing is you gotta think, all right,
Judo Master, and you have a bio and we have
not in the other cutaways we've gone to in Earth
X or whatever what the second world is, we have
not seen any people be persons.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
Of color in the world at all.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
So that's why I was thinking, ooh, this might be
a bad world actually.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
And maybe that's why those terrorists attacked the episode what
two or three I think it was. They were like,
you guys suck, so we're gonna blow up your stuff. Yeah,
and then who comes same today the peacemaker, his brother
and his dead children that one. But we know who
that is because last year, so it's safe to say
that in the also University is the same person.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
That's true, That is true.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
But yeah, so that's I think that was pretty confirmed.
I feel like that's where we're going and when it
makes sense that, like, you're not gonna end it with
Peacemaker ending in this in this world, that's they're going
back to the DCU.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
Okay, there are characters play with.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
Yeah, And honestly, it'll be interesting because I still think
we're going to see Superman at the end of the
show because there are there are pictures of David Cornzwet
and John Cena in costume together. Now, could it have
been because he had that one shot when he's on
on that on that show.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
In in Superman, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (46:55):
In Superman.
Speaker 3 (46:56):
But we haven't seen Peacemaker in that outfit yet in
this season in this World, so I don't know. I
feel like eventually that device you want to do the
same trying to do the same thing that happened in Metropolis,
gonna keep referencing that Rick Flagg does and the Superman
coming in, Hey what do you guys doing?
Speaker 4 (47:11):
I just fixed this and cramming back together?
Speaker 3 (47:14):
You know what? I mean, so I don't feel like
we going to see Superman. Is maybe maybe a final shot.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Maybe maybe I think another prediction we will see the
different versions of Vigilante.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
I'm gonna say Economos too.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
I think Economos we're kind of building building up to
just sort of have that big hero moment this season again,
and I think maybe it is we'll see Economos in
Earth X is one of the freedom fighters and he's
like a leader.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
I think Vigilante maybe the same thing. Or he is
super evil give me that as well, super.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
Evil, or maybe he's even more of a nerd to
the point where he's not even like a crime fighter.
Speaker 4 (47:51):
He's just like literally like a scientist.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
He's good, he's not just finding out random effects like
a Manton never forgets, which nobody says.
Speaker 4 (47:58):
Nobody says that he's never said.
Speaker 3 (48:02):
It gotta be interesting if it's one of those things
where it's like the oppositely like its heroical leader, whereas
Vigilante is just a super nerd who's just a nerd
and not anything else. Yeah, I can't take a punch,
can't fight or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
And then the other theory, Kevin is what that we
have not talked about until this week when we saw
the theory as well.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Well.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
The other theory is and this goes back to Tim
Metal's character kind of being again put out as different
from the other ages. In August, there's a contingent online
that believed that he may be the Martian Manhunter now
in the comics, depending on when you read, sometimes a
Martian Manhunter takes the form of an African American individual
(48:44):
just kind of blend in and just be a human
when he wants to be a human. I think it
would be interesting how he made this point before you
to recording. If every time a Martian Manhunter becomes a
human is a different actor and the actual washing Manhunter
that's going to be Marshal Manhunter, the Green Person, and
somebody else to that'll be really cool, I think, to
get everybody kind of involved in the fun of being
in DC universe.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
Yeah, And the main thing that's kind of proposing this
is obviously some of the interactions Flurries had with Economist
the season, like oh do you want me to greet you?
Like not knowing what the true wit burnt bird blindness
isn't really an actual human thing or whatever the other
thing is, apparently behind the scenes or the Peacemaker podcast
(49:25):
that James Gunn hosts. This season, he said that they
had three hundred people auditioned for the Flurry role role.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
Which doesn't seem like a role you need to like
audition that many people for. You know.
Speaker 3 (49:37):
That goes again to the point where it's like, maybe
this is where James gets all his friends on the
action Chris would be DCU, Okay, you're you're a Marshall
Manhunter variant.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
Who else was saying to.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
God to the getaxy you want to be in VCU, Yeah,
you can be a Marshall man Hunter.
Speaker 4 (49:51):
You know, it just keeps going and going like that.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
I love the Marshian Manhunter only because when it comes
to Justice League, he's one of the ones that bounces
out the power of Superman. He act, you can go
both a blow for the most part of Superman. So
I would like to see that. And then this way
he's not just like thrust onto Justice League marsh Man Hunt.
It's kind of like, Okay, we know what it's a
Marshman Hunter in this world. We don't know who it is.
(50:16):
We're not going to know what to do James Gunn
decides to tell.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Us, Yeah, obviously this is kind of more along the
lines of a Mephisto theory.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
More than anything.
Speaker 1 (50:24):
But hey, every pretty cool, and let's face it, James
gun he can kind of do anything he wants. I
do think though, these three episodes will set up the
DCU better even more of just like going forward in
the next year of twenty twenty six, of like, all right,
we got blank, blank and blank established because the Peacemaker,
we're good to go, you know, season three.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
Or they haven't said if there's a season three.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
I doubt though, because I feel like James Gun's already
been stretched thin enough and I think he wouldn't allow
us a third season to happen unless it was like
someone he trusted was doing it.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
I'm kind of hoping that they do season three, I
feel like at this point because the first season was
a lot more action. Of course, a lot of acting.
Speaker 1 (51:10):
Yeah, this season so far as taking over the course
of like four days, but I kind of respect it
for it.
Speaker 3 (51:16):
They show that we can do the season one stuff
of fights and bull up and curse words and funny
in our actions, but now we also actually can build
character and like be emotional. Like in this episode when
Fitchnanti finds out that Chris is gone, Peacemaker is gone,
and he cried, I fell for him, Like, oh my gosh,
just gotta.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
Really feels this is his best friend.
Speaker 2 (51:33):
It's really really.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
Said, I fell for him. I feel like just from that,
they've earned the third season.
Speaker 4 (51:38):
Just come out.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
I can do whatever they want, so to speak.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
That just me though, Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 1 (51:42):
Really it just depends what happens with this season, uh,
because I think the other thing is you got to
figure out how is Peacemaker going to play.
Speaker 2 (51:49):
A role into the DCU going forward?
Speaker 1 (51:53):
Is it just he is a character that's in the
sidelines if are we going Marvel routes like Peacemaker is
your number three now, you know in the DCU of
like we got Superman, here's Supergirl, Here's Peacemaker. That's your
as of right now, Holy Trinity of you got the
Lanterns coming in next year too, Like, oh, how does
Peacemaker fit in this of like being he's a part
(52:15):
of the team. Is he just doing something on his
own maybe it will pop up on TV. Stuff like
that kind of goes back to.
Speaker 3 (52:22):
What we were saying about like you just said about
Marvel shows, do you want Peacemaker doesn't need to be
your TV character and not really be on screen with
the rest of your you know, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman,
all these people. Besides when he's on the you know,
the Tucker Carlson version show on DC talking to people.
Speaker 4 (52:41):
It's the thing. It's a question.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
But I feel, like I said this season Johnston, that
I feel like has earned more development with this character
for it's movie or series. I feel like this has
been more. I know more about Peacemaker from this season
than season one, so to speak, I know more about
the person so far. True.
Speaker 2 (52:57):
Yeah, that is true.
Speaker 1 (52:58):
Any other thoughts are theories for predictions? keV before we
wrap up out of here, Batman, Batman, damn it, please,
damn it anything Batman? Hey, right now, Lego, Batman is
the only thing we can count on right now to
come out next year.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Okay, you can chill on that.
Speaker 3 (53:15):
I just want to know who's going to be Batman.
How kind of and honestly, the only reason why I'm
like that because I'm watching Batman every morning when I
when I want to work out watching that series.
Speaker 4 (53:25):
I'm like, what Batman.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
Here's what they need to do.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Cast Alan Richardson in a different role, and then we
just know, all right, we're not going for Batman.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
We're going somewhere different.
Speaker 3 (53:34):
As going to be. I think I have a big,
big burly bang bang.
Speaker 2 (53:40):
We know.
Speaker 3 (53:40):
Okay, he said, we'll get Batman.
Speaker 2 (53:43):
Who knows Batman. It could be anybody.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
Again, it don't be a cool Batman the Miz. No,
he can Bruce Wayne Batman. He's already in shape.
Speaker 2 (53:54):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (53:54):
Drew McIntyre did pop up at the end of Twisted
Metal season two, by the way.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
Really yeah, I was shocked.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
I was like, taking for name and stuff, now, okay, interesting,
I gotta watch it to watch it.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
I was like, so he's got to pop up in
season three, most likely because he was I was like, all.
Speaker 4 (54:10):
Right, it's funny.
Speaker 3 (54:12):
Peacock is only my it's only my like benches TV
watching before I watched The Office, Parks and.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
Rec King of Queen and Megan two point oh, will
probably be on there, my Halloween, Kennon.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
And Wicked because Wicked is on twenty four seven. Because
my daughter just damn sure. Yeah, I just want to
tea how to talk because now she's to actually mouth
with the words of the songs.
Speaker 2 (54:31):
She only talks and sing talk. She doesn't talk normally.
Speaker 3 (54:34):
Just I won too free, she literally said. I heard
her staying like almost in maybe so she said define gravity,
she said define gaddy. Oh my gosh, she said, you.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
Know what gravity is? Now that third grade.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
Alphaba alpha ba'll melt you with some water.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
I know why you deserved it or not.
Speaker 1 (55:00):
We'll find out what Part two in November. Anyway, let
us know your thoughts theories for Peacemaker the back three
episodes because the lid we'll be done with this show
May October. Jen V is gonna keep us going through
I think Halloween pretty much. Uh, and then Marvel Zombies
comes out on Wednesday. Kevin will be breaking it down
(55:21):
next week.
Speaker 2 (55:22):
I'll be out.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
I got some family stuff taking care of that, but
he'll be holding it down. Time about Marvel Zombies is
probably about gen V as well next later this week
as well. But you see everything we talked about today
and so much more by going to our social media's
at Infinite Underscore bid z on the Instagram MODI X
gona give it to you everyone, be part of the
chat and be part of the podcast and you'll have
your voice be heard. And when we talk about things
(55:44):
or if we get them wrong, because let's face it,
sometimes we get them.
Speaker 2 (55:47):
Wrong, because really, what's going on in our knoggets?
Speaker 1 (55:49):
If we can remember everything, I have horrible, horrible dad
and I just don't pay attention Twitch dot tv or
you t dot com, slash Infinite, Underscore pods as well.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
Is Alicia gonna watch Meghan two point zero and give
her review? Kevin said, Danny Droger's if.
Speaker 3 (56:11):
We arranged that, because Megan's not my movie, that is
Leah and Alicia's movie, I can I can set U
up there and walk away and they can do the
whole thing, all right.
Speaker 1 (56:18):
So when Megan two point oho comes to Peacock, which
probably pretty soon, anticipate that as well, but have a
great week. Just know, hey, we're midway through September. So
if it's not fun right now, it's spooky season officially
because past everyone's birthdays on this damn show, So you
can celebrate spooky season.
Speaker 4 (56:35):
I also, I thought this cool video.
Speaker 3 (56:37):
I don't know that they can do this, but the
Disney Treasure can play a hot a mansion theme through
a ship horns.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
And Kevin is gonna stay up all hours of the night.
When he goes on that damn ship, say, please play
the damn horn. I can't go inside until you play
the damn horn.
Speaker 3 (56:50):
Oh man, I can't wait. May is only so far away.
Speaker 1 (56:53):
It's only so far away. May twenty twenty six. Can
we get there? Hopefully you'll be here.
Speaker 2 (56:58):
Sooner or later.
Speaker 1 (56:58):
Anyway, Well, my name is Hoodie and you've officially listened
to this super filled episode.
Speaker 4 (57:05):
What keV On Infinitely By Guy
