a promotional piece in two thousand when we're like, hey,
let's make the commercial but says toys are back in town.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
That's the one thing we're missing nowadays is like the
fast food restaurant movie tie in, Like they still do it,
but it doesn't feel as grand as now.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
McDonald's got K Pop toys. It was like, okay, well.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, and remember they had like those I have on
my hair actually, like the little little pop looking things
formus movies it's cool, but it wasn't like you know,
when Powering just came out. You can go and get
like a little power Inge car for.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Each one, or you could get the infamous Inspector Gadget
pieces and make an Inspector gadget.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yes, we oh my gosh, we we Me and my
cousins hounded our arms and uncles because all of us
wanted the same thing. So we went like, you don't
got it. We found out you gotta go to get
any food, you know, they get get the actual piece
exactly what we want.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Oh, I think I think Burger came one of its
infamous ones where we should do that another app and
I know we've done it before, let's do it again.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Is They infamously had.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
The Lord of the Rings. It was like each character
and then they would form around like you had to
buy the one in and they would form around it.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
If you clicked it, it would like do the movie
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
That was cool. And Burking also had the infamous Pokemon
a man, the Pokemon Man. That was awesome.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
That was a good time and the gold poke bowls
come on, come on all the time.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Can't get he get back there.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
But we got a jam packed show for you today.

sort of breaking down some spoileries of Marvel Zombies.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Gen V, Alien Earth.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
We're gonna talk about that too, because the boy watched it,
so we can break down that finale was worth it
or not? Pro tip if I said that, that might
change I thought about it. Yeah, we're gonna talk about
the cast for space Balls too and whatever that'll tentatively
be called something funny most likely. And we're gonna break
down Peacemaker season two, episode six. The first one of
(02:40):
that last batch of three called Ignorance is.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Chris, and he is ignorant cause he didn't he didn't
notice a thing that hardcore figured out like five.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Minutes within maybe even two minutes. But you can see him.
Speaker 1 (02:54):

And we are live all the time all the time,
but we always properly start the show with something I
like to call what You're doing, where we talk about
the shows and movies. We've been watching, games, we've been playing, lives,
we've been living. Because it is Monday, Kevin.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
You get to go first, Good sir.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
What have I been doing? I have to work late
on Friday because one of our ors producers had a
family emergency come home, so I had to do the
Orioles game on Friday and a little peak behind the scenes.
I can't speak for oversations. This is how we do
it for Orioles games. When somebody is home, we have
a member of our staff in the stadium running the
(04:27):
equipment we need to broadcast the game live. So it's
somebody I know, I am familiar with, and we kind
of divvy up the task. He does half the stuff
and I do other stuff, so it's a pretty smooth,
smooth broadcast. But when they are away, we have what's
called a stringer, somebody who actually maybe was worked with
the team or works with the local affiliate in that city,
do the same thing for us, run the equipment for us,
(04:48):
since we can't send somebody out to the stadium when
they're away. And when that happens, your boy is all
by ourselves doing everything. So that was a good experience.
Back of all trades, Kevin over here. Yeah, I have
never won a sports program by myself. I've always had
like a sort of a safety net. But on Friday
I was all by myself, and to say thankful, to
(05:10):
say it was a good broadcast. Thank lost, I don't
care about that.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
You heard it, heard what Kevin gets paid for exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Usually we have kind of a go between to talk
to the talent that was calling the game, my boy
Alec who he was a great producer for us. But
whenever away you're talking tack to the talent, Hey Brattle
need to do this, Hey Jeff needs to do that,
blah blah blah blah, and you want to be very
cognizant of not over talking to him. But they still
got to get stats and tell you what's going on
in the game. So it's a it's a very like
(05:40):
tip it, not tep it, but like very like experience,
like I need to re right here, boom, I need uh,
I need boom, And it can't be too much going
on because again they're doing our own stuff on there.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
So that was a fun experience.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
I'm happy everything went down okay, and also happen today
is the last game. I have to worry about this
till next. Yeah, Kevin's got some freedom now. And also
the same thing too, because we are a little short
staff now and the fact that one sport is ending
and we only have two to worry about. For the
rest of the year is amazing. Uh so we've been
taking care of that. On the inverse of that, got
(06:13):
home that night and Kien didn't go to bed till
one thirty. That was the thing.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I'm like, dude, wrestling wrestling did it the Jade Cargill injury.
It bothered her. A she has three eyebrows. Now.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I don't know if you guys saw SmackDown, but like
right here in the middle of your eyebrows, she.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Got a she has an actual, an actual the actual
slot through her eye and not the one you cut trendy.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Exactly as a mess, like shouts out to her, because
if I ever get that kind of injury, I'm not
going to work for a month. I'm not going to work.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Like it's a hold on my head.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
It was that. But I finally got her to bed,
and then I finally fell asleep, and then this is
a hother thing that This is the thing about having kids.
If you if you understand how you understand this, if
you have kids, tend of Mike talking to you went
to bed at one thirty, don't time you got up
Saturday morning six o'clock.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
That's your BA, that's your time. You got to fit
it in.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
When she fits it in and I'm like, she woke
up Dad. I'm like, what do you mean, Dad?
Speaker 3 (07:05):
You better turn around with his father father at this hour.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
So thankfully that.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Night, Alicia woke up a little early because she would
have been a little early, and I was like, here's you.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Here you go.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
I'm going back to sleep. I'm I can't about nine thankfully,
and then one of the rare things that never happens,
both kids yesterday took it back at the same time.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
And what did you do during that moment of silence, Kevin?
I went back to the old West?
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Yeah, what what's what town are in now?
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Dutch?
Speaker 2 (07:40):
We're still in to say, in the second camp Dutch.
We're still trying to figure out what's going on between
this two family. Remember the name of the families. But
I'm deputized now, I'm a I'm an auficer of the law. Oh,
because this.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Is one of the families. They have a big ass mansion. Yes, yes,
I remember that mansion.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Okay, So I did the I did the mission yesterday
where trying to the Pinkertons again and then they're like nah,
and he had to run away from him hide in
the shed till night time man, and he had to
shoot out with everybody. That was fun. That was that
was a really fun mission. Then after that, and this
is because like I said, and he was spoiled for
me for this game three four years ago. Whatever, I
find myself trying to show to author a good time.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
We're gonna get you a nice haircut, We're getting some
nice duds.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Get him a nice haircut. I get him like four
or five stakes every play through. I make sure this
man is as well taken care of, because it's kind
of like it's kind of like when you like, uh,
have a kid. You know they get a shot. The
next day, you know, you got a ice cream shoots.
You're done, you get Kevin.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
I don't tell you pretty much.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
The one thing you want to avoid, I mean you
have a while still is going to the doctor is
the one thing in that game you avoid that.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
And then you're fine.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
And it's so sad too, because I think the vaccine
for perculosis was invented like five years later. I'm like, ohgs, Arthur,
Arthur Arth medically advanced.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
See Red Dead. It's funny.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Like again, like I said, that endying was spulled for
me a while ago. So like, I find myself like
wanting to play it because it's really immersive.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Game, like I'm said, because I know it's still.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
It's kind of similar to trying to think of that.
What was the game? Kind of kind of similar to
Mass Effect too. If you know you don't play it right,
some people are want to die.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
You gotta play with the guy if you want to
play it right, exactly.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
But that's what I've been up to.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Also yesterday, I think she's about to say I went
on a DC marathon. Yesterday. I watched Superman and the
Batman back to back. So it's like five hours of.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
DC now out of the two now that you've seen
him back to back, which you prefer.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I'm a bad I love the bad Man. Superman is
really good, Don't get me wrong. I like Superman a lot.
Only thing that really does it for me with Superman,
and I've told you this many times.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
The Engineer is just terrible. Well, I doubt that care
just gonna be in anything else them.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Well she's a member of that one group.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Yeah, but James, she's so Originally the Engineer was going
to be a backdoor plot into the authority when James
Gunn announced the dc U.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
But he's kind of gotten real quiet the authority, you
know all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
So and I'm not I'm not the biggest fan of
Damon corn Swet's performance in that like final speech, this
is why I'm human, lex.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Ah, that's a good speech, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
I think I think I find it a little corny
because of the swell of the music behind him. I
feel like if the music choice, if the score choice
was different behind him, not just blairing Superman feum.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Okay, I could accept that.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Like Like similarly in Fantastic four, when En that'sa Kirby
gave her speech about why she's not going to sacrifice
her baby, I felt that a little bit more moving
because of the score choice. It wasn't just blairing the
Fantastic It was a little more moving of a voice.
I love.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
I love the Batman.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
I mean, I haven't watched it all the way through,
and I'm probably like two or three months, it's not
really that long to think about it, but watch the
movie all the way through and seeing him become the
hope Forgotham, that that final shot when he's I'm taking
a lady to like the meta back and she grabs
his hand like she's scared, Like, no, it's okay, I
got you.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
I'm like, this is a batman. I just loved it
so much.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
That's all for me.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
That's all been knowing about you, buddy.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
So for this past week I was out, Thank you
Kevin for holding it down. I had to go help
out my grandparents because my grandpa had a little bit
of a surgery, so we had to help that out
figure out pretty much in Layman's terms.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
So it was great.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
They obviously have a bed time with seven o'clock, so
I watched a lot. I watched a lot and read
a lot this past week to fill in that three
hours really before I would even think about going to bed.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
But I did watch Avatar Way of Water for the
first time. Finally watched that over two days.
Speaker 3 (11:54):
Not that bad.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Didn't kids pitch you off?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Though?
Speaker 3 (11:57):
The kids no.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Because they were most see the action. Jake slowly really
wasn't doing ish at all that damn movie. I'm like,
this man's the main character and he ain't doing it.
And him and the wife I forgot where the wife's
name is. Oh yeah, yeah, Goodmore Zoe's O'donna's character. I'm like,
they're not even like they're in the first one.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
But I think that's the point. I think it's like,
all right, this generation is done. No, it's the future
generation that's good to bring us all together and all
that stuff. But yeah, I thought was good.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Obviously, now that I've seen the movie, I actually understand
the trailers for Avatark, Fire and Ash. Now, yeah, Fire
and Ash looks interesting. I think it just, uh, you know,
you don't really go in thinking I'm gonna be entertained
and wold and this is more. We just want to
(12:45):
see it. It's gonna be a visual delight. And that's
that's what it was on my grandparents forty inch TV.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Just funny, that was big back in the day. I
did say I think Fire and Ash will be the
most action packed.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
It seems like, yeah, and it'll be cool to see
Navi some of the Nave being bad guys, which would
be cool, which is what kind of the main premise
of that one is. On top of that, I watched
a Goofy movie for the first time as an adults.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
As an adult, I.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Will say it's a little different than when you watch
it as a kid, thought slower as an adult, and
I completely forgot there were songs like like an actual
like try to treat it as a musical.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
But they're not going to whole sound.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Yeah, I'm like, oh, I just remember the power Line
songs and not that. I was like, oh, okay, that's right,
they did that. That was nineties Disney for you.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Dude, still right now ever since my dad passed away,
nobody else but you.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Make me cry every time I hear it. Oh my gosh,
I love that song. It's a good uh. And then
on top of that, your boy did watch the very
first Tron movie. I think for the first time I've
ever seen that coherently because infamously, Uh, I watched. We
had a neighbor that we that would like their parents
would watch us when my parents had to go to
(14:03):
work during the summer, and their family was obsessed with
that movie. And this is like two thousand and one
or two, so probably got re released or something out
of the Disney vault or somesh like that. And at
the time, I was a kid, probably like nine or ten,
like I'm not vibing this, watched it still didn't vibe
with it. Because it is very dated and that movie
hit is very all over the place, but you know,
(14:25):
you respect the concepts they were trying to do. They
are very apparent now of AI taking over the control
of everything.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Or saw what. So, Yeah, that was that was so
kind of that in that seventies mode of Hollywood, where
like the film was real grainy looking and it was
like a little no music, Like I've never seen it,
but the clips I've seen it was like this movie y.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Yeah, So I'm excited because i think I've only seen
tri Longacy once, so I'm just trying to rewatch them
before aries comes out. I think, yeah next week really
at of this podcast recording, just to see are we
gonna relate to this at all? Or is toront Area
just gonna do whatever the hell it wants to do?
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Really it can because Tron's one of Tron's kind of
similar to what was the other science fiction for Oh
shoot just came out with Harrison Harrison.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Ford Blade Runner.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Yeah, Blade Runner, Like people love Blade Running, but like
there's not a lot of.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Them, you know what I mean, There's two of them,
so people.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
I think people are more in love with the Tron
and Ride at Disney World.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Than yeah, I think that's the thing. I'm like, oh man,
this will make me appreciate the tron, right. Nah, really
we'll see about legacy and then aries too, But regardless,
I think it is cool that, you know, we're getting
a third one, and it's cool just to you gotta
go back to where it began, to see where.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
It was to what it is now.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
And then two more things.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Mega Evolution, which is the new set for Pokemon, came
out on Friday.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Myself and brother John, we got cards for each other
and we decided, hey, you know, let's get dinner with
my grandparents that I've been pretty much being a handyman
and nurse for.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
The entire week.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Let's get some ount back Steakhouse, which we did on Friday.
Let's have them open some packs. H Let me tell
you the way these the elderly people in my family
opened these cards.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
We're like, oh, no, what are you doing.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
That's how you depend.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
You're pending it.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
So my grandma opened the pack, gets the last card,
She's like, oh, this is very pretty, flips it around.
It's the three hundred and fifty dollars card. Everyone once
right now, and my brother and I go oh, and
she almost has a heart attack because.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
We're like, oh, she calls the card.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Granny's touch had it. That's funny, Grandma touch. She pulled
the GUARDIV war, which is really cool. And it was
just a fun little moment because they like, we don't
know what the hell we're doing, but it was a
little just like we're just having fun vibeing right now.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Having met Damn, I think your grandparents are on the
coolest grandparents in the world a wit.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
He just vibe with you guys, and they don't know
what's going on. I'm just like, all right, we'll do it, sure, Okay.
And then I finally finished on ext Storm, the damn
fourth Wing book this week because I had so much
time to actually read it. I know I'm late because
I forgot that book came out in January. I'm like, damn,
it's been it's been eight months since. Yeah, I will
(17:18):
say it ends very abruptly. Know, a lot of people
complain there are a lot of characters introduced in this one.
I kind of like, power through if I don't know
who these characters are. Eight times out of ten, they
kind of didn't make it past three chapters later, so
we have to introduce some cannon fodder for our plot
armor characters there go.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Yeah, and it'll be interesting.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I think we're supposed to get the next book. She
was like, oh, in two years. I think they're gonna
line up with whenever the Fourth Wing show comes out,
because we know that's been greenlit by Prime Video. I
assume it will probably line up synergy wise to do
both so they can get some bookou.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Money prob videos. A lot of books to series recently.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Because I think that's the thing is that we pass
what ten years it was comic book to film or shows,
kind of like the late twenty of twenty fourteen it
was books, so that it paused for comic books, and
now it's back to books again.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Because like the time traveling show that's on there. I
can't remember what's called. It's like Wheel of Time or something.
And then there was another show that was kind of
like a reverse Stranger Things with an all female cast
that was based on Paper Girls.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Yes, that's a comic book. Yeah, yeah, so did a
lot of books to Yes. And obviously we're in the
air now to of video games getting adaptations before the
games even come out. So that's also the thing.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Yeah, i'm watching you crime video you've been I screw
up got a war.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
I'm watching what you also have Mass Effect, but we'll
figure out which one gets done first. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
I don't think i'll see Mass Effects and as a
series until both kids are in school.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Yeah, and like that, like dad, what is the show?
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Like? Let me tell you once every year, I usually
play this game, so you.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Should know it by art now.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Dust. This thing right here is where I played the
Great Kids.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Let me tell you your middle names were almost Rex and Garrits, so.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
You are almost namedly are a white.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Let you you were one of you is really close
to being named Lee, very very close to Lee r Ahatara.
So take that as you.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
But let's get on into it. It is time for the.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
News, and first things first, we have to talk about Alien.
So I wasn't here on Thursday, so I didn't get
to talk about it, but I watched it. Now, Kevin,
before I tell you what I thought about the finale
(19:59):
to Alien, what have you heard about so far?
Speaker 2 (20:03):
I've heard it it was okay but didn't really stick
the landing, fully, that's what I've heard. I have a
friend at work who's he's kinda watched the entire season.
He hit like any of them, and he was like,
the finale just just sbout how he just hated this
whole thing. But I didn't hear the people that liked
it him like it was okay.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
But we need a little more from it. Basically, yeah,
I think the finale just because I've watched the whole
thing and I know I've been the pariah on the
show to that you need to watch it. Uh. The
finale is probably the weakest episode of the show overall. Again,
in this eight episodes. As of right now, there's no
word on if there is a second season. Everyone kind
(20:42):
of thinking this would be a limited series thing. But
the finale, in a non spoiler spoilery way, does leave
it wide open for a second at least a second
season to happen, So who knows whether that is. I'm
kind of pulling, Oh, we want to do a Rogue
one and film up until the Nostromo leaves Earth to
go into space, you know, to tie up the first
(21:05):
Alien movie.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
But it just felt like there it was.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
A lot of Ooh, let's have the hybrid kids that
are synthetics and half humans, or whatever. They have the
power now and it's like, all right, cool, Like we
didn't have to dialou on this, because I think there's
so many factors going on into this show that they
try to wrap up a lot of them too quickly
that they could have really, Oh, let's leave that open
(21:31):
end until if we do a next season, you know.
But I think it's one of those things we're kind
of in an air now of shows that we think
have a really good first season, we don't know if
it will ever get renewed or if it does. Usually
we find out within like two days or something like
that most of the time. But a show like Obi
Wan Kenobi, where you and McGregor is like, I really
(21:52):
want to do another season, but there isn't going to
go to another season, or a lot of the Star
Wars ones really Skeleton Crew as well.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Man, I know, it's it's wild, like what are we
dealing with that.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
I think this is kind of the same thing of like, ooh,
it would be real nice if we got a second season,
but we might not.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
At the same time, I mean, I haven't watched it,
only watched it first two, but I do feel like
it breathed, it kept like with Alien what was it called?
Movie came on last year Alien Romulus Mulous. It continue
to breathe new life to the franchise. I haven't really
been happening for the last however many years, so I
(22:33):
don't see why they shouldn't be a second season. There's
even ways you probably can do it where it's away
from the main alien timeline. Talk about keep talking about
what's going on Earth because it's more high science fiction
than about than about the than about the alien.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
It is interesting too because because I know with the
Alien and Predator franchise, we've it's it's been a big
thing of like was Blade Runner included, and that this
this series felt more closer to connecting the Blade Runner
side to everything then it ever has before. I think
you are right, like they can do at least another
season of this because all the alien movies take off
(23:09):
place off of Earth, except for Alien Resurrection, where they
crash into at the very end. You know, so who
knows what will happen. I do think overall, good show.
I just think of just a weaker ending, which is
okay because that it was like fourth or fifth episode
that was the standout episode. For sure.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Maybe the guy that runs to show Noah Holly, maybe
he knows it again a second season and one of
the kind of like plants see like, listen, I'm gonna
give you everything when this last episode because we're coming back.
I haven't analysid yet, but we're coming back. So maybe
maybe that's part of the reason why it wasn't as
strong as it could have been.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
I do think the cast is good and most of
the cast lift, so so let's see what happens. But
if you're trying to wait, I think now it's probably
a good time to watch them all because all the
episodes are out. I don't think they're gonna do like
a shadow If they did a shadow dropped ninth episode,
that'd be really cool, but I doubt they're gonna do that.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
A good question I want. I wanted what started happening
the shadow drop of T because there are albums now, well, wait,
when I saw shadow dropping TV TV episode, that'd be
really cool. Show done that.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
I'm trying to think of the top of my head recently.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
I don't think a show has done it recently, but
it is more kin to a video game music thing.
I'm like, oh, the game's out now and the album's
out now today or whatever, and like, oh, yeah, but
that would be cool, but that's really we gotta lie
with the marketing and pray no one fs up the
marketing saying there's nine episodes of eight.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
They kind of did that with what was it shoot
the name of the alien movie Cloverfield.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
Oh yeah, yes, that's probably the last big one we've
had like that yet.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
But that was a bad movie, so nobody.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah it was okay, but yeah, so next up, and
they university do have Predator bad Lands, so that comes
out I believe the first week of November, so.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
That'd be interesting.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Just that kind of the movie thing is kind of
we're gonna connect things over here.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
So let's see.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Oh cool, this show has been out, we have an
alien romless and the Predator has kind of been doing
its own thing.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
Too, so let's see if we can connect them even more.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
I'm hoping to keep moving upward and not just like
think it's stagnant with his Fanalea is. From what you
told me and what I've seen so far, it looks
like Alien kind of correcting itself.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
Yes, we're gonna get a good alien Predator Okay, we're
going good there, baby. Well you can see because that
movie was dark.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
The second the second one, especially.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Like Kurd of contrast up something good.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Lord I did. That's what I've done for every video
game ever since.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
But Kevin, speaking of franchises, that.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Kind of came and went Marvel Zombies.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Let's talk about that real quick. Yes, because Kevin did
talk about it briefly last week. But your boy Binge
watched three out of the four episodes in one day
this past week, and I gotta say, man, Marvel Zombies
was good. That hit when it should not have hit
at all.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Yeah, I was, I was sitting here, I was sitting
somewhere where I should have been. Employs me and it
pays me. But I was watching it, and I'm sitting
there like you know, we're still working, and looking at
him like, wait a minute, this is good.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Hold up, wait a second.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
I kind of like this, only hold on, hold on.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
I thought this would nd of be like a throwaway thing,
but no, no, no, they put some effort into this.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I think that also, that's the show we'll talk about
with getting renewed and all that good stuff. But I
think that first episode happening. Enthralled when spoilers, I'll put
that up. The show has been out for four days now,
You've had four days to watch four thirty minute episodes.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Four days. Damn it.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
When Kate Bishop gets an eye lady at the end
of the episode, I'm like, well, And I didn't catch
it at first because I was like text seed, I think,
like my brother or something, and I was like, wait
a second, did she just die? I did the same thing.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
I was adding audio and I was like, wait a minute,
she's just getting peparated by Captain Marvel. Oh no, I
like it.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
But yeah, her dying and then obviously spoiler spoilers reread
potentially finding a carrying all that stuff was interesting. I
think it was cool because I rewatched the what If
episode maybe like the day before it came out, so
that was a good little refresher. I know they did
a pretty good job of recapping it in.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
The third episode or whatever, but.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Yeah, yeah, but I really did appreciate, like, I appreciate
the story they gave us, the character interactions we haven't gotten,
which we kind of need to before we go into
you know, Doomsday and Cigaret Wars of seeing Shun che
and you know Yolena interacting potentially have a romance there,
you know, having Red Guardian their active Miss Marvel.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
I thought it was really cool.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
It was cool that they kind of were pausing time
right before Infinity War happened, and this is what everyone's
gonna look like to a degree as well.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Man, the story of the Biloba family broke my heart
in this series because.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
By one dead literally.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Leave them alone.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Yeah, I really thought zombies looked cool.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
I do think really Disneyland, because they have a vengerance
campus needs to just make all them, all the characters
zombies now for Halloween, I know they just do zombie cat,
but and.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
That would like go there, like, no, that's Halloween is
going to do with Mickey. I think that would be
worked really well.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
Actually yeah, I'm like, great, you got Hawkeye, you got
one of those, you got to Okoya, you can.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Do a zombie of great. She was the main thing
in that too.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah. I really enjoyed the show. I think it was
cool that it ended up into sort of an Avengers
endgame battle of here's our ten. Yeah, last of the
anybody left really and they ultimately failed pretty much, so
we think.
Speaker 3 (29:14):
I don't know where Spider Man is.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
Is he dead?
Speaker 3 (29:16):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
And also I'll just go back a little bit.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
I love the way they, like you said, they kind
of retold the story on the Marbles on the episode
he did in season one and seeing how like basically
kept Captain America Black Panther sacrificed himself to defeat Thanos.
That was an awesome scene to see that and then
to see that basically what that did was vibraniumized the stones.
(29:41):
The only person that could hold the world together basically
was a Hulk and he is down there chilling that
that is that's.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Really cool, And we're got a cool ass T'Challa Black
Panther fight seeing against zombie Thanos and you're getting.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
The theme and you're like, hell, yeah, he's now said the.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
World I'm not gonna because of my my bowman to
cheer up.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Yeah, the Green Bull Sorcerer getting getting lines in this
damn show. You're like, what the obscure character that used
to sell Funko pops and getting lines? I think it
was so for Supreme too, because I didn't see anybody else.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Around had to be I guess.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
But yeah, with the show ending, with the final episode
ending with uh, miss Marvel finally pretty much given in
uh to Wanda, who it was great to get Elizabeth
Olsen being Scarlet Witch a villain again, but being like
a good a better villain than what she was. She good.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
That's the only thing I didn't like was I didn't
really like the ending too much.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Well because.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
And like you said, I wanted to be an ending.
So next year you can do a whole new Halloween special.
I don't want to see it. I don't see Marbles
on two next year.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Well, and that's that's what we're gonna talk about, because
her accepting her fate, getting with Wanda, and then oh,
everything seems fine.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
No, it's not.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
You're in a simulation or something. Any Drugger says the best.
I support Wanda's rights, but most importantly Wanda's wrongs the
same time. That's the MCU in a nutshell pretty much
right now. But I thought it was really cool of like,
hey re relived that Kamala is in a simulation. And
(31:29):
it's interesting because the same things with Alien Earth I
just talked about. I hope it gets a second season
because I would watch that a lot. But interesting is
the more and more you think about a second season,
You're like, who the hell is a lie that they
can't even pull from now right now?
Speaker 2 (31:45):
Because when when I let's just let's just like accever
this out. They do do a second season Marble Zombies,
it probably wouldn't be released until Avengers, after the Wars
before be right before Wars.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
I mean, I I don't know, because if you think
about it, we had.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
X Men ninety seven this year.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
I think, yeah, next year it comes out there? See sorry,
So X Men ninety seven were twenty twenty four, spider Man,
fever man man, freshman whatever it was called, freshman year,
freshman year was?
Speaker 2 (32:20):
When did that come out?
Speaker 1 (32:21):
That was?
Speaker 2 (32:26):
Tell me? Tell me when he came.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Out January this year?
Speaker 1 (32:28):
I would be surprised. Maybe in two years we get
another If we do another season, we get another season
of it.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Well, like I said, my only thing is like I
feel like, why do I say this? What happens in
Doomsday next year? Well that hampered the cast of Zombies
because you don't want to put forth like Song's got
down screen Doomsday. Don't want put him back Zombi because
he was you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Well, I mean and that's an interesting thing, is like,
all right, cool, Marble Zombies really came in effect that now,
all right cool. We've had Black Widow, which gave us
three new characters.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
We had Sean Gee.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
You know, we we had to introduce the Phase five
characters really, which is how Marvel Zombies really existed, because
they killed up all the Avengers the first one. I
think if they do do a second season, Andy Dragon
said a bestie have drags most of the Guardians minus
Rocket and Groop because they got annihilated.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
And I'm like, damn, that would be cool to see,
to see them come come come back, or even dare
I say Loki because Loki.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah, the whole time, I was also like, oh, we're
gonna get a Loki because technically he died. If we're
pulling in the Thanos sending Hulk to the Earth, you
also can pull in the Fantastic four different dimension thing
of that's how you incorporate some newer characters in that. Cool.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
Yeah, it'll be cool too, the way they can do.
I just wish they had this one had an ending,
That's all I'll say. But if it's because they're coming
back next year, okay, I get it. Yeah, I'll send
that comment, but I will say, what do you said,
should we rank this? Let me see who's on the rink.
I don't.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
I feel like we.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Should, but let me see go a letterbox right now,
the same thing. Let me go to the list, because actually,
if it's on letterbox, we will, but if it's not,
it will have the pivot.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
It is all right there you go, all right, great,
add the list.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
Boo boo boo. All right, so we're gonna go fally
down to MCU in review rankings. I should have realized
that time, but it's okay, it's been off for a week,
so Marvel Zombies. I'm just gonna quickly go through where
everything and I don't we we don't have X Men
ninety seven on here, and we don't have a Spider.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Man on here. Actually, you know what, we're not going
to rank it.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
It's its a thing.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
I would say ninety seven and Spider Man makes sense
because it's t not in the MCU one. This is
MCU adjacent property. But yeah, if they're not waked the
other ones, probably this one okay then, but I will
say I would still go ninety seven.
Speaker 3 (35:10):
With the three animated shows.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Ooh, I would say this is the bottom, but I
think it's because the other two are really good.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Oh, I mean because I mean STI don't give them
the forecast. She's walking on the sand, turning the ice
with lightning. I mean, come on, you can't really be dead.
That's the first episode, by the way.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
It's crazier from there, and then we were like, oh,
there's a phantom Manda, doctor Strange. And then it tied
into the last episode of Spider Man. Remember, oh man, God.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Damn, that was a great many watch. Maybe'll be sure
I watch this week, while well.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
Season two most likely next year.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
You could probably just wait until then, then rewatch it
and be ready to go. They did say for ninety
seven or it's gonna be called ninety eight or whatever.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
The hell.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
Should be good at that point is that it will
be sadder than the first season.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
A lot of people will die.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
How can it be sad? Wow, that's not promising.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yeah, already said any drug. I mentioned other contenders, mostly Eternals.
If Icarus was the only one they really showed, I
don't feel like they're going from the Eternal. I think
Icarus was like, all right, eternals got shout out, but
we're not really playing into that anymore.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
I think certain eternals will re turn. I don't think
all of them world.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
That is true. Some of them just died now, Zombie
just died.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Kingo comes back at some point maybe, yeah, that was
the builder, but I don't think all of them will
come back. Yeah at the same.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Time, Yeah, it's okay, But yeah, I think Marvel Animation
has kind of been killing it, which is great because
that really helps off obviously with Star Wars, Animation has
been always killing it. It's good that Disney has these
two different parts of their big sagas and universes kind
of killing it to help the live actions do well
as well.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Yeah, and Star Wars Visions Season three comes out in.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
October twenty six, I believe.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Release date here.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Nine, Yeah, which I don't I'll watch, but well, that
will be a quickie review for this podcast, because well.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
It's the Star Wars anime. Well Star Wars Visions thing is,
it's you're hitting out a very narrow fan base.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
They look cool and a lot of the episodes this
see this volume are going.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
To be sequels to the first season, so that's kind of.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
Yeah, but I mean it's not for every It's not
for every Star Wars fan. Star Wars fans are are
huge dichotomy of people. We learned that the hard way,
unfortunately the bad way, I should say, but I'll be
watching that.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
I can't wait for me, damn it. Yeah, Marmo, zombies
killed it.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
If you watch it, it's perfect for Halloween to tee
up all of that.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Gen V. That was good.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
I still think, uh, Cricket, I just her storyline I
think is great, and I think that is very like
we have a hero rising amongst people who think they're
heroes but they're not really heroes. I know you talked
about it last week, but I really dug it and
I think gen V is good. I think it's just
a good like. I'm gonna watch it. It's part of
my watching routines.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
You know.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
It's it's so good this year. But like you said,
Cricket is like Cricket is like the I don't menture earlier,
like the Qatar of the season you're trying to when
trying to motive everybody do the thing true. What scares
me because the boys.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Don't don't play with the good characters like that. Besides, Hueye,
you gotta be neutral or evil. You can't be good
because I'm the Watcher gone.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
So I'm scared for Crickets so much right now, I'm like,
oh God, you don't care Cricket. She's so she's so sweet,
she's she's doing the right thing. She's pushing people trying
to learn the powers. This just means that somebody's gonna
But I hope I'm wrong, but The Boys doesn't like
good characters.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
And then I assume whenever gen v ends, probably the
end of October, we'll probably get a trailer for the
final season of though Boys makes sense, most.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Likely I would I wouldn't be about to kind of
like an in credits thing where it's like, yeah, what
was it the first Avenger? Then credit scene was the
trailer for the Avengers. Basically, I wouldn't be if they
do that like the last maybe maybe like maybe not
like a full trailer, but like a teaser or a stinger, yeah,
to see what's coming up.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
But it is interesting though, I was thinking about this
because of Kate in this episode kind of got a
little bit of redemption to a degree of if you
saw Kate and the boys and you didn't watch gen V.
Then the next season like now she's a good guy,
expends at all. But we'll see what happens with Kate.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
I mean before this episode Kate was in, before the season,
I should say Kate was like almost stop levels hate
for me. Oh, she needs to die. She needs to
die as soon as possible. Like when Jeoffrey started choking,
it was like one of the most glorious mom.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Yes, yes, TV time.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
You know, I don't care if you knew Batman Batman
because you're a bad person.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
There, you know, like, damn the mama Tyrrell did that.
The whole time.
Speaker 2 (39:52):
Was me, I want to know it.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Damn straight uh but yeah, let's go. We're talking about
that show is to movie to another movie. Info News,
which is pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
Space Balls Too officially announced the start of production with
none other than a parody of the Force Awakens photo
they did when Star Wars A Force Awakens first film.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
Pretty cool. The main thing really is kind of confirmed
all the actors that are actually in it. Obviously, you
know Rick moranis is coming back, but.
Speaker 3 (40:25):
This list didn't actually give me. This is just oh,
here you go.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Mel Brooks Daffy's Aniga, Bill Pullman all coming back, as
well as Lewis Pullman, Anthony Kerrigan, who we've seen a
lot he was, he was Metamorpho in Superman, he is
Calypso and Spaceball he's no Ho Hank in Barry's really Good. Yes,
(40:50):
and then we got and then obviously Josh Gadd. Kevin
and I had the prediction now that who do we
think Josh Gadd is gonna be playing?
Speaker 3 (41:01):
Most likely in Spaceball's too.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
He definitely plays the son of Bartholomew to Chewbacca parody
in Spaceballs. He literally kind of looks like John Candy
a little bit on Candily, like the same headshape, body like.
It's I'm not I'm not trying to call him a
the arougatory name about his body type. I'm just saying
he looks like John Candy. He's definitely gonna be bar
following Genier.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
It is.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
It's dry.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yeah, I think that's the only void that the movie
has right now that would make sense for Josh gadd Oviuly,
you would assume the movie comes out in twenty twenty seven.
It does look like we're gonna deal with Lewis Pullman's
gonna be the son of Lone Star and probably Princess
Vesta obviously.
Speaker 3 (41:43):
I think the other one is what what is that
lady's name?
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Uh, she played the John Rivers dot Matrix, that's what.
That's another absence they'll have to maybe explain to a
degree just because John Rivers past. But what'd you say, keV?
Speaker 2 (42:02):
There might be Kicky Palmer, I think because John Rivers
what she was around was just known to say the
crazy things. And it's come out of a robot. So
if Kicky Palmer was a robot just being Kicky Palmer,
that's yeah, that's that's cinema.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
That makes that makes sense and an obviously it's like,
oh yeah, she's.
Speaker 3 (42:18):
A sister Droid or something like that.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
It makes sense exactly. I think it's gonna be a
cool time. Obviously, it's the first baseball is really was
a cult classic. So it'll be interest see what it
can do in twenty twenty seven when it comes out.
And it's the same thing of us thinking about scary movie.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
I think that movie comes out next year. I think
at the end of next year, supposedly.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Leave the Walliams are back controlled.
Speaker 1 (42:40):
Left from Yeah, and it's like all right, can that move?
Can this these franchises survive now again? In twenty twenty seven,
Becau's kind of how Naked Naked Gun just did?
Speaker 2 (42:50):
I think a scary movie is a little easier because
horror has still horror. Horror has been horror for the
last however long. Whereas you know Star Wars uh parody
that this is how tossing Star Wars fan bases come.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
It might?
Speaker 2 (43:06):
It might, honestly maybe movie maybe do more about that
will make anybody mad? It like, let me run a
joke and make a mat matter this, So we're gonna
do this instead joke about it. But I think the
the the the fight to make this movie funny, and
it's a little harder than I think it's movie can
just I mean the conjuring it's been amazing. Weapons just
came out, Like there's so much stuff that's come out
(43:27):
since the last movie that like, oh, it's all here
for us. We can just pick out all this and
make a funny movie.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
Hell yeah, but Kevin, it's time.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
We've been teasing it. Now it's time to talk about Peacemaker.
Speaker 1 (43:39):
Season two APIs you can't do that dance any Mark
Kevin Episode six.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Let's break it down.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
So spoilers about Kevin completely forgot I told him before
we started. Is currently right now the Peacemaker dance and
Fortnite is currently banned because most likely this episode until
most likely until we get next week's episode to get
some explainer because James Gunn can't spoil anything. But it
(44:12):
turns out everyone's assuming the dance Peacemaker does at the
beginning might be a little too much to symbolism, which
is why it's been removed to Fortnite.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
I mean better safe from sorry, yeah and better.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
I know we are in a water cooler era with
this show right now, but maybe just safe to assume
to prevent the water cooler talk on that.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
It's funny though, it's like you know thrust, like you
know public thrust. Yes that no, no, you can't do
that at all.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
Yeah, Kanye West song, that's fine Fortnite, But okay, that
all right? Sure Fortnite double standard that's a whole different debate.
That's a whole different debate. But this episode was called
Ignorance is Chris. This was the episode that pretty much
cut firm the big theory we all had. Spoiler spoilers spoiler, spoiler,
(45:04):
that's the alternate dimension Earth.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
Not confirmed in name, but pretty much in essence. UH
is Earth x a K a very racist.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
Dimension that Chris went to.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
We'll say it's it's Shnazi world.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Yes, I will say that, uh.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
And it is explaining some things, which is why we
had to wait till this episode to finally figure those out.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
Kevin, what did you think of the episode? Oh?
Speaker 2 (45:34):
Myn gosh, I remember watching this. I watched this like
usually I don't do this TV shows. I was weight
late like usual, Piecepakers, my Sunday morning dress show, my
morning clothes for church. But I was like, noah, I
got see what happens. So I actually watched it at
launch on Thursday. And but before we even get to
that that twist. Really good episode. Regardless some of the
acting in this between Hardcore and John Cena, It's like, God,
(45:57):
dank it. John seems a good actor, Like how do
they How did the Doctor of the Economics become such
a good actor in period?
Speaker 1 (46:05):
I don't understand it.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
But seeing them go through what they what they went
through in this episode was great. Seeing the friendship of
uh was the Eleven Street Gang, eleven Kids yeah, three kids,
just like we're gonna get our friend out because it's
not because it almost has kind of connotations when you're like,
you know, a friend is going through a rough patch
and they say something weird, You're like, let's go over
(46:27):
there and make sure that person's okay. That's what it
feels like. And I really liked that a lot, about
just being concerned about your friend's mental health so so
bad that they was one that escaped to another world
where in this case literally another world, not like no
figuratively like like like we do, and send them going
over there to save and was amazing and just the
fact that because I said, we all knew it, but
(46:50):
it also was a good character development thing because Hardcore
is a really good agent. That she was there five
and it is like place is weird? Where are the
people of color? This is?
Speaker 1 (47:00):
This is John? And like what we you mean? Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
It was such a good reveal and such a great episode.
I remember because I was watching it and I finished it,
and then I think when I finished it, I texted
you and like you were like halfway into it. I
want to text you you we were right, but like no,
I'm not spoiled it from a boy I'm awake.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
And it was worth it, and it was literally I
finished Zombies and I was like, should I go bed
now or s let me watch be Spaker. I'm glad
I did because spoiler spoiler, spoiler spoiler, there's a reason
why Superman came out on HBO Max the week before
because Nicholas holds Lex Luthor officially in the show, which
was really cool.
Speaker 3 (47:41):
I thought.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
Had a Lex Luthor theme that was introduced in Superman,
so Kevin's obviously heard that a bunch of times this
weekend to just like all right, like James Gunn is saying,
is delivering what he's saying, you know, like this will
connect and tee up Man of Tomorrow, our own little
bit of Supergirl for next year, and so far it has,
(48:03):
which is great.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
That's how good it was, because like we had Alex
Luthor cameo in this episode. Everybody's talking about review the
big twist.
Speaker 3 (48:11):
Yeah, we even talk about.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
That, Like Lex Luthor was, Lex Luthor was in this episode,
was amazing and he was cursing him, curse, he cursed,
But what he didn't about the F bomb Superman. So
it was really cool and I remember I'm one of
my complaints about Lex in Superman was like I thought
he was a little bit too over the top cartoony,
and oh no, that's Lex Luthor. That's the one I
want for the next movie.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
Yeah, And I think that that's very how you start
off your Lex Luthor and then your second movie because
we know he's going to be in it is how
that's how he's going to be from now on, which
is really cool. Obviously, James Gunn said they filmed it.
The first thing of Peacemaker they filmed was the cameo
because they were on set of Superman. So it would
be pretty cool to see if there's another big cameo
(48:55):
that big picture we've all been seeing along, so like
we'll see if that connects the dots or not at all.
Speaker 3 (49:01):
But really cool.
Speaker 1 (49:02):
And obviously seeing that Lex is going to be partnering
with Argus and that's probably gonna be the way Lex
gets out of prison and all this stuff and is
working with Argus. Uh, that'll tee up into Superman. Is
really cool.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
Because he was in Bell Reeve and that's being transferred
to another person. I'm pretty sure wherever he's going doesn't
have the security of Bell Reeve and he may know
somebody on the inside, so he's definitely getting out somehow. Yeah,
or you know what, he may go in there and
maybe Superman want to get him out because supposedly the
next one they're teammatep against Braining at who knows unless everybody, everybody.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
Is in front front of unfolding chambers where they come from,
we'll find out.
Speaker 2 (49:36):
Yeah, that's true. And why was he I don't think
I couldn't I watch Superman yesterday. Why did you have
a cane? I don't see.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
Because crypto bit, I'm at the end of a Superman Okay,
go to County.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
He didn't have He was walking fine into the into
the the police car.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
You know, it's it's it's it's adrenaline, you know something exactly.
Speaker 3 (49:58):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
But yeah, I thought overall, getting through sort of the
more minutias of episode really great. Like keV said, Leavnstreet
Gang kids going after Peacemaker obviously out of bio knowing
the code. That's kind of just like, yeah, we don't
need to spend a whole episode of her trying to
figure out how to access the damn code to get
the door open.
Speaker 3 (50:17):
It just opened.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
That's fine, but cool to see Vigilante has a whole
is rich secretly, it has a whole stash. Go gang funny,
they get all of that, and obviously with Adrian meeting
his his doppelganger in the other dimension, realizing they actually
like each other that their favorite Pokemon is infern Ape,
which connects the dots of like, oh he looks like
(50:39):
you know, he caught all the Pokemon line from earlier
this season, which is great.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
Also, again the further character development of Tim Metal's character.
I'm like, I like, I really like this. He was
annoying to me the episode one. He's grown on me
so much.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Yeah, I think if obviously this episode didn't tee up
more of the Martian Manhunter thing, but I think it
will tee up Rake Flax Senior stepping down. He'll be
the new Tim Meadows' character will be the new leader
something of August.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
Metals normally in the DCU, because like to go from
SNL to d.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
C Hell yeah, hell yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:11):
And it's funny because Tim Meadows has a CBS show
coming out next month.
Speaker 3 (51:16):
It's it's d.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
M V and it looks very kin to Superstore Uh,
and those type of shows. I'm like, ohs getting in
on this. Finally, I gotta find it.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
I gotta find that trailer. I would like to watch that.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
Yes, and then one of the guys from Righteous Gemstones
is is Keith from Righteous Gemstones is in it, which
was added vines like partner in that show.
Speaker 2 (51:37):
Oh yeah, okay, I gotta find this trail. I gotta
watch it.
Speaker 3 (51:40):
It looks interesting. It looks interesting, I'll say.
Speaker 1 (51:42):
But obviously the eleven Street kids going in the Ulternate dimension,
really interacting with.
Speaker 3 (51:52):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (51:52):
What what's Peacemaker's brother's name? I forget Rick rich Rich
something something like that. Keith, Yeah, okay, we'll go with that,
interacting with him and you're like why.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Because his name is the next episode. That's that's why
I figured it out.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
There you go interacting with him, uh, and just having
hardcore kind of have to figure out what's going on
in the world, and they're like, well, why are you
wearing black?
Speaker 3 (52:16):
And it's like, oh, it's whatever.
Speaker 1 (52:17):
And then obviously you're finding the little snow globe that
was Chris's mother's like passing gift to him, which was great.
Speaker 2 (52:25):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
And ultimately it's when our characters split up is when
chaos happens because Autebaia goes on a run and we
find out, yep, this is this world's a little different,
and we finally well this is going on, and the
people on will say Earth X are chasing her. H
Peacemaker does look at the flags that we kind of
were seeing as an Easter egg and see, oh, yep,
that symbols on there. So this is a bad Earth.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
It's funny too, because right after I watched the episode,
I got on TikTok and one of like the third
or fourth videos I saw was the scene from the
Flash when Iris and Barrier getting married and an Earth
X invaded the wedther.
Speaker 1 (52:59):
Oh, shoot, this was the thing he did on TV.
I forgot about this. This was awesome.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
And then I'm trying to think, try to think.
Speaker 3 (53:07):
I think hardcore killed it.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
I think, yes, Jennifer Holland, I think this if they
are gonna go for a let's get it, maybe nominated
for an award. That's the scene you send it to
of her realizing, you know, I just don't have the
capacity to be emotional like you are. Even to Chris
a Peacemaker, We're like Oh, he's not really emotional. I
mean he's more emotionally he was when we saw him
in the Suicide Squad. Yeah, but yeah, I thought the
(53:33):
really good episode. I saw a bunch of clips of
the Suicide Squad on TikTok, like, oh, this this show
is giving me more and more a hanker and watch
that movie again, too, great movie.
Speaker 2 (53:43):
Just on one scene when John's seen the casually Tomahawks,
I got in a sleep. The other thing that was
amazing about this actually watched an interview about this guy
David Denman Ryan, I'm not Ryan. What's his name on
the office James uh Pam's old boyfriend.
Speaker 3 (54:03):
Roy, the guy that play Roy.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
They gotta plays Keith, Chris's brother and Earth Acts or
whatever we're calling it. I real, it's not in that
were Basically, he had just had surgery and was really
really out of shape, and then this this this casting
kind of promoted him to get back back in like
regular sheep. And he said he owes like James Gunn
a lot because he got him back healthy. Basic Again,
I'm like, that's really cool. But on the other side
(54:25):
of that, he's a really bad person because when we
see him going throughout the season, he's so supportive of Chris.
Speaker 1 (54:30):
He's worried about Chris.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
He wants him in that Earth hardcore to be uh,
to be healthy, I mean, we have a healthy relationship.
Then when he sees out of buy him walk in
the neighborhood, he screams up.
Speaker 1 (54:41):
Black, oh no, like, oh okay, you just turned in
the villain guy number one over here.
Speaker 2 (54:47):
Like you went from cool, I like this guy to
oh my gosh, he needs to go now.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Half a second. It was amazing. Yeah, I think obviously
we're gonna get more payoff in the next episode of
just the explaining how like we you and I were
kind of talking before the podcast, how the two Earth
kind of diversed from one another, and how if this
is Earth acts if if officially gets name dropped, Ornano'll
be in this next episode coming out.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
But then episode eight is what James gunn teas is
gonna be another bombshell episode WHI would be really cool.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
Yeah, this episode is going to be called uh right
here like a Keith in the night. So I'm just
gonna be probably focused on his on his Earth.
Speaker 3 (55:29):
And I assume the brother will die.
Speaker 2 (55:33):
I'm guessing and funny thing to say that because I
remember I kind of felt bad for Chris that he
had to kill his doppelganger in like that that war
between world things, and I'm like, oh, well, he's probably
a racist. I don't care anymore.
Speaker 3 (55:45):
It's a good thing he did that.
Speaker 1 (55:47):
And they're like, oh, he's gotten to kill his brother again.
But it's like, oh, it's a good thing.
Speaker 2 (55:52):
He probably kill his father again, And I mean, what
does killing one's father twice due to a person like that?
Speaker 3 (55:58):
What does that do? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (56:03):
And then it looks like the eighth episode tenchtively is
called phul Nelson.
Speaker 2 (56:06):
Which would be interesting. Is his father named Nelson? No Dragon?
Speaker 1 (56:12):
Yeah, blue Dragon, white Dres. That's all I really know. Yeah,
because most of the episodes, really, I mean some of
them have had names in there that have kind of
teased what the episode is about. It will be interesting too,
you know Rick Flag, you know, hardcore didn't run in
the Rick Flag and the dimension that they're in right now,
so I'll be interesting what happens when she sees him
(56:34):
for once too.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
And when Nevilie Singer and there's that dimension and he
sees that his son is still alive and he's a
racist piece of crap, Like what does that do to somebody?
Speaker 1 (56:42):
Like, oh my gosh, that's my son, but my.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
Son, but you suck like that.
Speaker 1 (56:51):
Yes, a lot of questions, man, like oh my gosh,
but overall really good and like James Gunn has kind
of said, and we kind of said last week, we're
in this new mini season within Peacemaker season two and
the previous five episodes really teeing up the character building,
and these three episodes are gonna be, like we said,
the action of this season so far.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
I do think we will lose a vigilante, but I'm
not sure which one. It would be interesting if we
lose our vigilante, and next season three we have to
build a relationship with the new vigilante who hates hates Peacemaker,
but he hates his piece maker, not this piece maker.
And can they be like they can do this whole
Like you said, this is mini season we're in right now.
(57:33):
It can do so many things.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
Yeah, and it will be interesting if this does get
a season three, because we kind of said I think
at the beginning is I think James Gunn really pushed
himself in order to owe it to John Sina to
do it. But then after this it's all right, well,
do we put the focus on season three of Peacemaker
that might come out in three years, or do we
just incorporate all into the movie verse versus Ever at this.
Speaker 2 (57:59):
Point, I'm I'm with community with the show three seasons
in the movie, like I think, either straight to HBO,
Max movie.
Speaker 3 (58:07):
Or Mandalorian and Grogu effect of a movie and see
what happens.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
Again.
Speaker 2 (58:13):
Like you said, the viewership of a movie audience and
a TV audience are two different things, not as big.
But I think if this budget was like one hundred
and ten one hundred and fifty, yeah, they could totally
make that back. If they made a movie of this
and released it. We're going to see Peacemaker if he
lives throughout this, we'll see Peacemaker and all the points
of the DCU anyway, So why I want to introduce
(58:34):
him to a movie audience and that way takes the
pressure off of you and not to come up with
a new series every two years. But well, he'll be
in a movie eventually.
Speaker 3 (58:40):
Watch and it is. It is wild.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
The thing just is kind of wrap a button on
it is, you know, five years well, we'll say, seven
years ago, no one knew who Yeah, seven years ago,
no one knew who the hell Peacemaker was, and now
it is probably the fifth most notable name in the
DCU right now, even like.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
Uh, Vigilante Vigilante before this was first the cowboy character
on the d Universe that they had like you know two,
like you know, Red Dead, so that was his thing,
and then before that he was Adian Trace.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
In What Narrow season five? Yeah, something like that, Like we.
Speaker 2 (59:17):
Can pctually have a Vigilante show where it's like a
Vigilante verse.
Speaker 1 (59:22):
So we're in a good time right now for even
good with superhero projects in general, right right now. But
let us know what you thought about Peacemaker Season two,
episode six.
Speaker 3 (59:34):
Are your hyped for seven or eight?
Speaker 1 (59:35):
Did you buy the moat for the mote from Fortnite
