Yes, we oh my gosh, we we Me and my
cousins hounded our arms and uncles because all of us
wanted the same thing. So we went like, you don't
got it. We found out you gotta go to get
any food, you know, they get get the actual piece
exactly what we want.

What have I been doing? I have to work late
on Friday because one of our ors producers had a
family emergency come home, so I had to do the
Orioles game on Friday and a little peak behind the scenes.
I can't speak for oversations. This is how we do
it for Orioles games. When somebody is home, we have
a member of our staff in the stadium running the

(04:27):
equipment we need to broadcast the game live. So it's
somebody I know, I am familiar with, and we kind
of divvy up the task. He does half the stuff
and I do other stuff, so it's a pretty smooth,
smooth broadcast. But when they are away, we have what's
called a stringer, somebody who actually maybe was worked with
the team or works with the local affiliate in that city,
do the same thing for us, run the equipment for us,

(04:48):
since we can't send somebody out to the stadium when
they're away. And when that happens, your boy is all
by ourselves doing everything. So that was a good experience.
Back of all trades, Kevin over here. Yeah, I have
never won a sports program by myself. I've always had
like a sort of a safety net. But on Friday
I was all by myself, and to say thankful, to

say it was a good broadcast. Thank lost, I don't
care about that.

You heard it, heard what Kevin gets paid for exactly.

Usually we have kind of a go between to talk
to the talent that was calling the game, my boy
Alec who he was a great producer for us. But
whenever away you're talking tack to the talent, Hey Brattle
need to do this, Hey Jeff needs to do that,
blah blah blah blah, and you want to be very
cognizant of not over talking to him. But they still
got to get stats and tell you what's going on
in the game. So it's a it's a very like

tip it, not tep it, but like very like experience,
like I need to re right here, boom, I need uh,
I need boom, And it can't be too much going
on because again they're doing our own stuff on there.

So that was a fun experience.

I'm happy everything went down okay, and also happen today
is the last game. I have to worry about this
till next. Yeah, Kevin's got some freedom now. And also
the same thing too, because we are a little short
staff now and the fact that one sport is ending
and we only have two to worry about. For the
rest of the year is amazing. Uh so we've been

home that night and Kien didn't go to bed till

if I ever get that kind of injury, I'm not

It was that. But I finally got her to bed,
and then I finally fell asleep, and then this is
a hother thing that This is the thing about having kids.
If you if you understand how you understand this, if
you have kids, tend of Mike talking to you went
to bed at one thirty, don't time you got up
Saturday morning six o'clock.

both kids yesterday took it back at the same time.

We're still trying to figure out what's going on between
this two family. Remember the name of the families. But
I'm deputized now, I'm a I'm an auficer of the law. Oh,

Is one of the families. They have a big ass mansion. Yes, yes,
I remember that mansion.

Okay, So I did the I did the mission yesterday
where trying to the Pinkertons again and then they're like nah,
and he had to run away from him hide in
the shed till night time man, and he had to
shoot out with everybody. That was fun. That was that
was a really fun mission. Then after that, and this
is because like I said, and he was spoiled for
me for this game three four years ago. Whatever, I
find myself trying to show to author a good time.

We're gonna get you a nice haircut, We're getting some
nice duds.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Get him a nice haircut. I get him like four
or five stakes every play through. I make sure this
man is as well taken care of, because it's kind
of like it's kind of like when you like, uh,
have a kid. You know they get a shot. The
next day, you know, you got a ice cream shoots.

I don't tell you pretty much.

The one thing you want to avoid, I mean you
have a while still is going to the doctor is
the one thing in that game you avoid that.

And it's so sad too, because I think the vaccine
for perculosis was invented like five years later. I'm like, ohgs, Arthur,
Arthur Arth medically advanced.

See Red Dead. It's funny.

Like again, like I said, that endying was spulled for
me a while ago. So like, I find myself like
wanting to play it because it's really immersive.

Game, like I'm said, because I know it's still.

It's kind of similar to trying to think of that.
What was the game? Kind of kind of similar to
Mass Effect too. If you know you don't play it right,
some people are want to die.

play it right, exactly.

But that's what I've been up to.

Also yesterday, I think she's about to say I went
on a DC marathon. Yesterday. I watched Superman and the
Batman back to back. So it's like five hours of.

DC now out of the two now that you've seen
him back to back, which you prefer.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
I'm a bad I love the bad Man. Superman is
really good, Don't get me wrong. I like Superman a lot.
Only thing that really does it for me with Superman,
and I've told you this many times.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
The Engineer is just terrible. Well, I doubt that care
just gonna be in anything else them.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Well she's a member of that one group.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Yeah, but James, she's so Originally the Engineer was going
to be a backdoor plot into the authority when James
Gunn announced the dc U.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
But he's kind of gotten real quiet the authority, you
know all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
So and I'm not I'm not the biggest fan of
Damon corn Swet's performance in that like final speech, this
is why I'm human, lex.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Ah, that's a good speech, Kevin.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
I think I think I find it a little corny
because of the swell of the music behind him. I
feel like if the music choice, if the score choice
was different behind him, not just blairing Superman feum.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Okay, I could accept that.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Like Like similarly in Fantastic four, when En that'sa Kirby
gave her speech about why she's not going to sacrifice
her baby, I felt that a little bit more moving
because of the score choice. It wasn't just blairing the
Fantastic It was a little more moving of a voice.
I love.

I love the Batman.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
I mean, I haven't watched it all the way through,
and I'm probably like two or three months, it's not
really that long to think about it, but watch the
movie all the way through and seeing him become the
hope Forgotham, that that final shot when he's I'm taking
a lady to like the meta back and she grabs
his hand like she's scared, Like, no, it's okay, I
got you.

I'm like, this is a batman. I just loved it
so much.

Speaker 2 (11:20):

So for this past week I was out, Thank you
Kevin for holding it down. I had to go help
out my grandparents because my grandpa had a little bit
of a surgery, so we had to help that out
figure out pretty much in Layman's terms.

So it was great.

They obviously have a bed time with seven o'clock, so
I watched a lot. I watched a lot and read
a lot this past week to fill in that three
hours really before I would even think about going to bed.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
But I did watch Avatar Way of Water for the
first time. Finally watched that over two days.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Not that bad.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Didn't kids pitch you off?

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Though?

The kids no.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Because they were most see the action. Jake slowly really
wasn't doing ish at all that damn movie. I'm like,
this man's the main character and he ain't doing it.
And him and the wife I forgot where the wife's
name is. Oh yeah, yeah, Goodmore Zoe's O'donna's character. I'm like,
they're not even like they're in the first one.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
But I think that's the point. I think it's like,
all right, this generation is done. No, it's the future
generation that's good to bring us all together and all
that stuff. But yeah, I thought was good.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Obviously, now that I've seen the movie, I actually understand
the trailers for Avatark, Fire and Ash. Now, yeah, Fire
and Ash looks interesting. I think it just, uh, you know,
you don't really go in thinking I'm gonna be entertained
and wold and this is more. We just want to

see it. It's gonna be a visual delight. And that's
that's what it was on my grandparents forty inch TV.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Just funny, that was big back in the day. I
did say I think Fire and Ash will be the
most action packed.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
It seems like, yeah, and it'll be cool to see
Navi some of the Nave being bad guys, which would
be cool, which is what kind of the main premise
of that one is. On top of that, I watched
a Goofy movie for the first time as an adults.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
As an adult, I.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Will say it's a little different than when you watch
it as a kid, thought slower as an adult, and
I completely forgot there were songs like like an actual
like try to treat it as a musical.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
But they're not going to whole sound.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Yeah, I'm like, oh, I just remember the power Line
songs and not that. I was like, oh, okay, that's right,
they did that. That was nineties Disney for you.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Dude, still right now ever since my dad passed away,
nobody else but you.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Make me cry every time I hear it. Oh my gosh,
I love that song. It's a good uh. And then
on top of that, your boy did watch the very
first Tron movie. I think for the first time I've
ever seen that coherently because infamously, Uh, I watched. We
had a neighbor that we that would like their parents
would watch us when my parents had to go to

work during the summer, and their family was obsessed with
that movie. And this is like two thousand and one
or two, so probably got re released or something out
of the Disney vault or somesh like that. And at
the time, I was a kid, probably like nine or ten,
like I'm not vibing this, watched it still didn't vibe
with it. Because it is very dated and that movie
hit is very all over the place, but you know,

you respect the concepts they were trying to do. They
are very apparent now of AI taking over the control
of everything.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Or saw what. So, Yeah, that was that was so
kind of that in that seventies mode of Hollywood, where
like the film was real grainy looking and it was
like a little no music, Like I've never seen it,
but the clips I've seen it was like this movie y.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Yeah, So I'm excited because i think I've only seen
tri Longacy once, so I'm just trying to rewatch them
before aries comes out. I think, yeah next week really
at of this podcast recording, just to see are we
gonna relate to this at all? Or is toront Area
just gonna do whatever the hell it wants to do?

Really it can because Tron's one of Tron's kind of
similar to what was the other science fiction for Oh
shoot just came out with Harrison Harrison.

Ford Blade Runner.

Yeah, Blade Runner, Like people love Blade Running, but like
there's not a lot of.

Them, you know what I mean, There's two of them,

I think people are more in love with the Tron
and Ride at Disney World.

Than yeah, I think that's the thing. I'm like, oh man,
this will make me appreciate the tron, right. Nah, really
we'll see about legacy and then aries too, But regardless,
I think it is cool that, you know, we're getting
a third one, and it's cool just to you gotta
go back to where it began, to see where.

Mega Evolution, which is the new set for Pokemon, came
out on Friday.

Myself and brother John, we got cards for each other
and we decided, hey, you know, let's get dinner with
my grandparents that I've been pretty much being a handyman
and nurse for.

The entire week.

Let's get some ount back Steakhouse, which we did on Friday.
Let's have them open some packs. H Let me tell
you the way these the elderly people in my family
opened these cards.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
We're like, oh, no, what are you doing.

That's how you depend.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
You're pending it.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
So my grandma opened the pack, gets the last card,
She's like, oh, this is very pretty, flips it around.
It's the three hundred and fifty dollars card. Everyone once
right now, and my brother and I go oh, and
she almost has a heart attack because.

We're like, oh, she calls the card.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Granny's touch had it. That's funny, Grandma touch. She pulled
the GUARDIV war, which is really cool. And it was
just a fun little moment because they like, we don't
know what the hell we're doing, but it was a
little just like we're just having fun vibeing right now.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Having met Damn, I think your grandparents are on the
coolest grandparents in the world a wit.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
He just vibe with you guys, and they don't know
what's going on. I'm just like, all right, we'll do it, sure, Okay.
And then I finally finished on ext Storm, the damn
fourth Wing book this week because I had so much
time to actually read it. I know I'm late because
I forgot that book came out in January. I'm like, damn,
it's been it's been eight months since. Yeah, I will

say it ends very abruptly. Know, a lot of people
complain there are a lot of characters introduced in this one.
I kind of like, power through if I don't know
who these characters are. Eight times out of ten, they
kind of didn't make it past three chapters later, so
we have to introduce some cannon fodder for our plot
armor characters there go.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
Yeah, and it'll be interesting.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
I think we're supposed to get the next book. She
was like, oh, in two years. I think they're gonna
line up with whenever the Fourth Wing show comes out,
because we know that's been greenlit by Prime Video. I
assume it will probably line up synergy wise to do
both so they can get some bookou.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Money prob videos. A lot of books to series recently.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Because I think that's the thing is that we pass
what ten years it was comic book to film or shows,
kind of like the late twenty of twenty fourteen it
was books, so that it paused for comic books, and
now it's back to books again.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Because like the time traveling show that's on there. I
can't remember what's called. It's like Wheel of Time or something.
And then there was another show that was kind of
like a reverse Stranger Things with an all female cast
that was based on Paper Girls.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Yes, that's a comic book. Yeah, yeah, so did a
lot of books to Yes. And obviously we're in the
air now to of video games getting adaptations before the
games even come out. So that's also the thing.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Yeah, i'm watching you crime video you've been I screw
up got a war.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
I'm watching what you also have Mass Effect, but we'll
figure out which one gets done first. Yeah.

I don't think i'll see Mass Effects and as a
series until both kids are in school.

Yeah, and like that, like dad, what is the show?

Like? Let me tell you once every year, I usually
play this game, so you.

But let's get on into it. It is time for the.

News, and first things first, we have to talk about Alien.
So I wasn't here on Thursday, so I didn't get
to talk about it, but I watched it. Now, Kevin,
before I tell you what I thought about the finale

(19:59):
to Alien, what have you heard about so far?

Speaker 2 (20:03):
I've heard it it was okay but didn't really stick
the landing, fully, that's what I've heard. I have a
friend at work who's he's kinda watched the entire season.
He hit like any of them, and he was like,
the finale just just sbout how he just hated this
whole thing. But I didn't hear the people that liked
it him like it was okay.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
But we need a little more from it. Basically, yeah,
I think the finale just because I've watched the whole
thing and I know I've been the pariah on the
show to that you need to watch it. Uh. The
finale is probably the weakest episode of the show overall. Again,
in this eight episodes. As of right now, there's no
word on if there is a second season. Everyone kind

(20:42):
of thinking this would be a limited series thing. But
the finale, in a non spoiler spoilery way, does leave
it wide open for a second at least a second
season to happen, So who knows whether that is. I'm
kind of pulling, Oh, we want to do a Rogue
one and film up until the Nostromo leaves Earth to
go into space, you know, to tie up the first

(21:05):
Alien movie.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
But it just felt like there it was.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
A lot of Ooh, let's have the hybrid kids that
are synthetics and half humans, or whatever. They have the
power now and it's like, all right, cool, Like we
didn't have to dialou on this, because I think there's
so many factors going on into this show that they
try to wrap up a lot of them too quickly
that they could have really, Oh, let's leave that open

end until if we do a next season, you know.
But I think it's one of those things we're kind
of in an air now of shows that we think
have a really good first season, we don't know if
it will ever get renewed or if it does. Usually
we find out within like two days or something like
that most of the time. But a show like Obi
Wan Kenobi, where you and McGregor is like, I really

want to do another season, but there isn't going to
go to another season, or a lot of the Star
Wars ones really Skeleton Crew as well.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Man, I know, it's it's wild, like what are we
dealing with that.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
I think this is kind of the same thing of like, ooh,
it would be real nice if we got a second season,
but we might not.

knows what will happen. I do think overall, good show.
I just think of just a weaker ending, which is

feels like. And I really liked that a lot, about
just being concerned about your friend's mental health so so
bad that they was one that escaped to another world
where in this case literally another world, not like no
figuratively like like like we do, and send them going
over there to save and was amazing and just the
fact that because I said, we all knew it, but

it also was a good character development thing because Hardcore
is a really good agent. That she was there five
and it is like place is weird? Where are the
people of color? This is?

I remember because I was watching it and I finished it,

And it was worth it, and it was literally I
finished Zombies and I was like, should I go bed

why Superman came out on HBO Max the week before
because Nicholas holds Lex Luthor officially in the show, which
was really cool.

Luthor cameo in this episode. Everybody's talking about review the

That, Like Lex Luthor was, Lex Luthor was in this episode,
was amazing and he was cursing him, curse, he cursed,
But what he didn't about the F bomb Superman. So
it was really cool and I remember I'm one of
my complaints about Lex in Superman was like I thought
he was a little bit too over the top cartoony,
and oh no, that's Lex Luthor. That's the one I
want for the next movie.

Yeah, And I think that that's very how you start
off your Lex Luthor and then your second movie because
we know he's going to be in it is how
that's how he's going to be from now on, which
is really cool. Obviously, James Gunn said they filmed it.
The first thing of Peacemaker they filmed was the cameo
because they were on set of Superman. So it would
be pretty cool to see if there's another big cameo

that big picture we've all been seeing along, so like
we'll see if that connects the dots or not at all.

And obviously seeing that Lex is going to be partnering
with Argus and that's probably gonna be the way Lex
gets out of prison and all this stuff and is
working with Argus. Uh, that'll tee up into Superman. Is

Because he was in Bell Reeve and that's being transferred
to another person. I'm pretty sure wherever he's going doesn't
have the security of Bell Reeve and he may know
somebody on the inside, so he's definitely getting out somehow. Yeah,
or you know what, he may go in there and
maybe Superman want to get him out because supposedly the
next one they're teammatep against Braining at who knows unless everybody, everybody.

need to spend a whole episode of her trying to
figure out how to access the damn code to get
the door open.

That's fine, but cool to see Vigilante has a whole
is rich secretly, it has a whole stash. Go gang funny,
they get all of that, and obviously with Adrian meeting
his his doppelganger in the other dimension, realizing they actually
like each other that their favorite Pokemon is infern Ape,
which connects the dots of like, oh he looks like

you know, he caught all the Pokemon line from earlier
this season, which is great.

Also, again the further character development of Tim Metal's character.
I'm like, I like, I really like this. He was
annoying to me the episode one. He's grown on me
so much.

Yeah, I think if obviously this episode didn't tee up
more of the Martian Manhunter thing, but I think it
will tee up Rake Flax Senior stepping down. He'll be
the new Tim Meadows' character will be the new leader
something of August.

And then obviously you're finding the little snow globe that
was Chris's mother's like passing gift to him, which was great.

And ultimately it's when our characters split up is when
chaos happens because Autebaia goes on a run and we
find out, yep, this is this world's a little different,
and we finally well this is going on, and the
people on will say Earth X are chasing her. H
Peacemaker does look at the flags that we kind of
were seeing as an Easter egg and see, oh, yep,
that symbols on there. So this is a bad Earth.

It's funny too, because right after I watched the episode,
I got on TikTok and one of like the third
or fourth videos I saw was the scene from the
Flash when Iris and Barrier getting married and an Earth
X invaded the wedther.

a lot because he got him back healthy. Basic Again,
I'm like, that's really cool. But on the other side

in this new mini season within Peacemaker season two and
the previous five episodes really teeing up the character building,
and these three episodes are gonna be, like we said,
the action of this season so far.

I do think we will lose a vigilante, but I'm
not sure which one. It would be interesting if we
lose our vigilante, and next season three we have to
build a relationship with the new vigilante who hates hates Peacemaker,
but he hates his piece maker, not this piece maker.
And can they be like they can do this whole
Like you said, this is mini season we're in right now.

It can do so many things.

Yeah, and it will be interesting if this does get
a season three, because we kind of said I think
at the beginning is I think James Gunn really pushed
himself in order to owe it to John Sina to

that might come out in three years, or do we
just incorporate all into the movie verse versus Ever at this.
