To this trailer Palooza episode of What.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Kevin Crisis on Infinite bo Yes, we are headed to
the trailer park today.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Trailer park. I like trailer palooza, but when Kevin hosts,
it's a trailer park. But that's okay.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
We can do a trailer staganza that no no no UHL.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Trailer fast, trailer off, trailor rama, trailer rama, we could
do that too. We could do that too, but we
gotta jamp back show for you either way. Because we
are breaking down and reacting to the trailers for the
Super Mario Galaxy movie. We're talking about the trailer about
Toy Story five and because we missed it and we
want to talk about it because any Drogon uh Pertie
(01:06):
Jackson and the Olympians Season two, we were thinking about
doing Devil Worst Product, but I don't know if that's
our expertise per se so.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Great movie, but definitely out of our wheel are We
would probably probably need the wives actually do that one.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
I also feel like it's gonna be not good. It's
gonna be Here's a lot of more fashion cameos. They're like, okay, cool.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Definitely, definitely Maybe in that Anchorman two slash.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I was the other one with Ben Steeler to Lander two.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Oh this was cool when we watched it the first time.
But we've grown up.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Yeah, she's ablusive now we don't like her.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Who who are we talking about?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
No? No, the Boston may Stream's.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Characters like what Gavin and you like pulled that out
of nowhere?
Speaker 3 (01:54):
I'm saying, like back then it was like, oh, well
she's starned.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yes, we love toxic work cultures. Now no, no, so
they gotta figure that out. She's gonna get canceled first
five minutes of the movie. That's what's gonna happen. But
you can see eevery they're going to talk about today
and so much more at Infinite Underscore Pods on Instagram
or x go and give it to you or Kevin.
Where can they go to participate in these here parts,
(02:16):
whether it's online when we do it live or maybe
later on their own time.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
He can join us live twice a week on Twitch
dot TV slash Infinite Underscore, pause and join your fellow
crisis crew numbers in the live chat. And while you're there,
you can use your Prime Amazon Prime subscription to use
your free monthly subscription to a Twitch channel on our channel,
and we will greatly appreciate it. But we understand that
everybody can join us live because life's a hassle. We
(02:41):
all know you also join us on demand twice a
week YouTube dot com slash if Underscore posess. Cool thing
about that is it's not just twice a week.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
We're always on YouTube. Baby, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Click click, click, click to your heart contended to be
clicked a lot of.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Clicks, and it's very wild. I had two video we
had two claims today from videos from six years ago.
So I don't know why. All of a sudden, Luckily
draw something got flagged and said, hey, you need to
look at this. I said, all right, trim it. I
don't care. No one's looking at her now.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Like I want.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Actually wonder if like with the admin of like AI
and like just the way you can just a few
things in there to hey look at this for me
and see anything, if those kind of flags will go
up moral on these ones.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
You do, we'll find out because this one's definitely an
episode that could be claimed a lot because the trailers
are about to do. But that's okay. You know, we're
here for the podcast and Bread and Butter's audio form.
So in case you can't see this episode and you
can hear it, at least.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
There's one two we played. There's one. A few years
we played a lot of music, like a lot they
want to care about.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Then no one cared back. Then they can't do that
and they can't even sing it anymore. They'll claim us exactly,
but we always started Detroit. It's funny because I listened
to an old episode. I was like, well, we uh
had no plan on any of these podcasts, no scale
of it at all. It's just what you want to
talk about.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
There's two guys hanging out, maybe sometimes four guys.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Fine, now there's an outline and hopefully you like that
better than just the ranting. Please focus kind of now
foot focus to a degree, but we channel it through
certain bits like what you're doing. Where we talking about
the shows and movies we've been watching, the games we've
been playing, the lives we've been living. Because it is Thursday, yep,
(04:21):
bo it gets to go first. And I'm excited to
talk about Running Man because I have a theater review
that will help you for next week if you're going
to the theater. But fun thing is I did catch
up on it. Welcome to Darry There's some bad cgi
in the latest episode, but pretty good and it definitely
with this coming out and The Running Man, which fun fact,
(04:43):
is also a Stephen King book who's under a pseudoname
for that, it's cool to be in this Stephen King universe.
The Running Man is kind of a futuristic thing, but
it's kind of cool, and it's like, all right, well
if we get this right, like we can actually like
we kind of wanted it to be originally, like all right,
here is cool Joe, here is the murder car, here's
(05:05):
all this other stuff, you know. The yeah, the spoiler
the shining is in. It is integrated into it two
a degree, so that's really cool.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
There was a show on Hulu back in the Hulu
was Hulu was still doing their own original series in
the rum of like hey, I'm handing yeah, I can't remember.
It was cold, but it was actually a show about
all of Stephen King's things, Castle Rock, Yes, the shotting
was there. She was the named a prison the.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yeah, well in the town and that's cool. In this
and with Castle Rock, were they like mentioning it or
like referencing it?
Speaker 2 (05:43):
It was like, yeah, I remember when when the guy
went crazy killed people up in the hotel. So they
like mentioning it.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Oh yeah, but they show you like here's Pennywise hanging out.
I didn't do that, Okay. So in this, uh they
mentioned like someone's in jail, like we're gonna send you
to Shawshank. I'm like all right, like the Green Mile,
Like hey, I know that.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
I know that.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
And it's cool because one of the side characters is Hallerin,
who is the He's the he's the older guy that
has the Shining in the original Shining movie that teaches whoever.
But it's cool because there's a scene in this third
episode he taps into it and he shows up in
penny Wise's a little Layer and and it's if you
(06:23):
watched the IT movies, the recent ones. He's in this
little like circus box or whatever, and he does his
little dance. There's a whole meme on on TikTok and
everything back in the day. It opens up and Penny
Eyes goes, what the hell you here? Like He's like, you,
you came in too early. I'm not ready.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
That's funny because I think exploring it that way is
a good way to kind of take the edge off
of the general fear of the show. I just still
hear that I didn't watching them. I'm a huge woss
but he's still generally creepy. Yes'm I'm assuming as we
Go will be less creepy, more action y, just because
it's kind of how it works with exposure.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
But overall pretty good. It's gonna be interesting because the
show is going to go into December, which is wild.
I know HBO probably did it because The Running Man's
out this week and so it's Stephen King. But it
was like, Okay, we're gonna be watching this December fifteenth
or something, you know.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
That's why I was also surprised as wee because I
don't know if you watching. My wife wants a little
bit of it, but like, I don't know why Netflix
didna pushed Frankenstein to before.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
I want to come out after that. Yeah, weird?
Speaker 1 (07:27):
I want to thirst over Jacob LORDI and uh, you
know you're looking good.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Un let's have.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
Just just to piss off universals on HALLOWEENHRN nights like
now we're not gonna we're gonna help you adds out.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Well. Also, we're also supposed to be getting in another
Franking Sign movie next year with Maggie Gillen Hall and
oh what's his name? Batman? Oh?
Speaker 3 (07:46):
What's his name? Which Batman? Batman?
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Christopher Nolan not Battinson?
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Oh Chris, shoot terminator?
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Why can't I remember?
Speaker 3 (07:56):
That's not good? Dang it. We're to talk about memories
and how they're fading.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
In our older area and Christian Bale there you go.
I was like, Chris Chris where Christian Bale that they're
like gangster versions of Frankenstein. So that could be cool.
Yeah yeah. But besides that, I have been replaying Dispatch,
so my second playthrough, we've kind of been talking about it. Well,
we're going to do the full review on it on
Monday's episode, uh, just to give you some time to
(08:21):
play it if you haven't. My main one's been the
Visigal water Boy, so I did the opposite where now
I'm romancing Blonde Blazer and then have Phenomena man coucking
on our team.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
So Phenomena Man. He's going through it. Man, he's going
through it so hard.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I feel bad, But you know what, that's okay. But
that's why I've been doing Kevin, what have you been doing? Good, sir?
Speaker 3 (08:44):
So I've been catching up on The Chair Company?
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Is it good? Because the trailer does not make it lookquid,
I will say that it.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Is a Tim Robinson scripted show. Okay, That's how I
describe Is it funny or is it awkward? It's funny
and awkward at the same time. If you watched it,
Troiter's imagine if the tortters was actually taking themselfs seriously,
that's kind of what The Chair Company is. He goes
down his rap if you're not for maybe checking. But
basically the whole show premise is that Tim Robinson is
like a mall executive and a building a new mall
(09:13):
in Canton, Ohio. And the day they're announcing that he's
gonna be the head of the project, he's just in
the chair and the chair breaks and he's embarrassed and
he can't let it go that the reason why his
chair broke is because somebody set him up, so he
starts looking into who made this chair, who's involved with
the company, who's who's like the parent company company, and
it goes through like it's kind of like one of
those procedural spy shows, like what's the one that had
(09:36):
Kate winslone in recently? Not really, but yeah, but it's
kind of like that, And it's about him trying to
find out the truth of the conspiracy behind his chair,
and he finds somebody's spying. It gets crazy, but all
that is done through Tim Robinson, who's just He's Tim Robinson.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
I just love love his company. So we catch up
on that.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
There's not much of spoiling it, honestly, it's just the
characters he meets are always so Tim Robinson, characters like
I can't even like if you watch, if you watch,
like I said, if you watch Detroiters, if you watch.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
I think you should leave. Imagine that.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
But taking seriously, and that's what this show is. I
do find it funny. I'm really enjoying it. Other than that,
I haven't been watching much else lately. Really, my wife
watched this special I guess wicked thing on Peacock together.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Oh yeah, the Wicked concert. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah, so that was interesting and they got to mid
it hyped up for next week. Lisa doesn't know what
she's going next week, so that's gonna be a good
surprise for her. I did watch the christening of the
Disney Destiny the other night because I'm a.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Huge nerd and Megara is like the godparent, which is
essentially just like an honorary role of it, which is
cool because I'm like, I did not know that who
is the voice of Magara looked like.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Godparents.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
All those godparents on the photo cruise ship didn't get
like free like cruise passes ahead.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
They get one a year. It's like, hey, all right,
come back check on your ship.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Yeah exactly, So I watched that.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
It's kind of cool that the news ship Disney chips
always have theme ship horns.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
This one has three new ones. Akuna Matata.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yeah. We talked about it on Monday, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah, so it's pretty cool to see that.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I'm really excited as the monks go by to us,
stepping forward onto that.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
I'm on my forty five day countdown to my Disney trip,
so we're getting close to yours once mine happens real
close to yours.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
So yes, I always think of the year as like
the top and the bottom. We're at the bottom of
the year right now, so we get back to the top.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Let's get back to the top.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Then we're good to go.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
We're good to go.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
I am planning some some more, I guess smoking mirrors
for our trip because again, oh, not watching it.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
She never watched this spider said, lead us know where going?
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Huh.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
So I wasn't planning on flying coast, flying on the
Fort Lauderdale because that's where the cruise leads them. Now
I'm thinking, should we find to Miami instead so I
can further conceal his ruse.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
To Miami is only like a forty five trip.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
But Kevin, we're also in an era. I know your
trips far away where fights be canceled, so I would
simplify as much as you can with a flight.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
That's true. That's very true, because hopefully that's that ends
with the next two week.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
I get it. You're in the Baltimore hub for Southwest,
but that can only help you so much.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Waterboro Hub Southwest also not too far from the DC
hub for United.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
That's that's it. I'm dulls so we're kind of blessed
here in this area that we can just.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Sort of also with these airports, because you want to
go to just one of them, but you got to
go to a different one if you want to fly
Southwest or United It's so just stupid.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
But it's to the point now too a flights because
I think it's so expensive where like I know a
buddy of mine, he has three kids and the grown kids,
Like he has three basically adult kids. But they've got
to the point too where now like they'll fly Southwest
from here to I don't know, Texas, but then I'll
flat delta back from Texas to DC because it's just cheaper.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
Yeah, I mean that's all.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah, that's yeah bad it's getting but yeah, so still
still still all planning that trip.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
And other than that, I am perusing UH.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Deals right now on official PlayStations like US. I still
have a credit I haven't used yet. I'm trying to
figure out how by a game now.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
With credit we got we got fifty bucks.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Get I mean you didn't want to get MASSI Effect
and Drama though you did say that I did.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
I have it, So I'm like, should I buy it again?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:33):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
You're good. You're good.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (13:36):
You could buy the John Cena edition of w W
two K twenty five for fifteen years.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
By the way, why are they Advertising's done this a
lot where it's like our, here's the season pass and
then here's a pretty much it's supposed to be a
Game of the Year edition where everything's bundled in it,
but really it's just here's four more extra John Cena skins.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
I think it was break White last year, and it's like,
fam come on, but I get it, like by now,
it's probably very low on the player account because now
they got to start ramping up because usually Royal rumbles
where they announced the next two K.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
So yeah, also a new champion, Johnsina, so you get
to see.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
That match potentially if he doesn't lose it before then.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
I feel like he's gonna wait to lose that because
I have a feeling he may lose it to one
of these NXTP he's not he's.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Not well, and that's interesting. We'll talk about that because
that's a together thing. It did get leaked what his
next three outfits are supposed to look like online. I'm like,
hell yeah, I don't know what the DC one's supposed
to be, but the New York Ones, the Yankees and
the San diego On's the padres those makes sense. DC.
I don't know what it's supposed to be.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
I feel like it maybe something some kind of pertiodic
great right and blue thing.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Yeah, two degrees.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
And I think the shirt makes it the last time
that the last time is now just last last time.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Here's the thing. I can't wear my stone cold Steve
b Austin shirt too much because it looks really bad.
It looks like I'm a certain party. Uh so that
shirt's aried hidden away that we bought we went to
smack down one thousand, I think or something. But yeah,
so we're excited because now they they've announced there'll be
actual other matches, which we kind of predicted. We didn't
know there would be. So be like n x T
versus Seven Stars. So a j Styles versus Javon Evans
(15:16):
would be pretty cool. An Ethan Paige versus somebody would
be Maybe an Ethan Page versus a mizz would be
pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
That actually would be pretty cool because I think Page
is like the next miz.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Old Fami versus Gunther you know, do that stuff.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Don't tease me what a good because I.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Don't want Gunther facing John Cena for the.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
I'm praying for a gun thro O Famire's mania one day.
That's going to tear the house down, big big man.
It's not me, but I do think you probably should
because they're doing like a w W superstore there.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yes, and so we've talked about this is a while ago,
but now we're like getting actually closer to it's a
month away. Actually, that's that's why. Yeah, there's supposed to
be a superstore. They're opening up in Gallery Place like
I think it was the old Urban Outfitters that was
that used to be in in the Gallery Place area
that it will be the superstore. I don't know what
it's gonna look like because it's not like a pay
per view. It is a pay per view, but not really. Yeah,
(16:09):
we'll see, but we're hoping because ww won't be here
on Friday. It's gonna be here on Saturday. The actual
people will be here Saturday, and bouncing store opens Friday.
Go after the show, buy everything and not have to
worry about it the rest of the week.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
I may have to advent on you like fifty sixty
bucks because I might want that last John seen the shirt, you.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Don't want the belt? You don't know buy that belt
that says the last time, I still kind of.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Want my spinner belt.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
I know the spinner belt is loved or hate it
still really in the middle of the Spinner belt, I
think it was amazing.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
It's pretty cool. My brother is tempted to buy everything
because when we went to go see SmackDown in September,
they were selling. They were selling the last time is
now And that was before we knew he was coming
to d C. And he was like, should I buy
the wristband? Should I buy the socks? I'm like, nah,
nah na. Fate told me, now you buy the socks,
the same socks in the same ritz bands, but they're
(17:01):
twenty dollars more expensive. Because the last time, I.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Think both of you guys should cosplay as John.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
That's the goal Old John Cena. But it really just depends.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
So maybe maybe you do World Life one. He does
the regular the regular one.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Like you know, maybe I'm telling you now, Kevin, that
week time span, I'm gonna be in Capital one Arena
three times that week. That's Goudy, wild Cat Arena, Baby
Be jingle Ball and then a Caps game.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
It's like, I think that may be the same week
too as the we made Me No Morning to Me
they screen the ups, Fire and Ash might.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Be the same week to do that.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
It is, and I've been told so you will not
be seeing that movie, Kevin, anything else. Kevin, Sorry, I
kind of took over.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
I'm always down for wrestling talk man, It's all good.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
All right, Well let's get on into it then, because
it's time for the news. Yeah. First things first, there
we go. We have to talk about The Running Man.
So let's break it down. Fund and running and running,
running and running front and running runnin so fun fact,
(18:13):
uh not fun fact. Your boy got to see The
Running Man earlier this week with Eric and one of
his friends, which was great. I saw it at AMC Tyson's.
And you know we love our theater reviews. Before we
actually give you a review of the actual movie. I
tried the Wicked Sodas Kevin for you next week, so
you me how they were.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
What flavors do we have?
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Oh don't remember. There's a green apple one. I don't know,
there's a peach one. There's a strawberry spright one, and
there's like a Cinemoni roopier one. Those are the main
ones I remember, so obviously AMC's kind of it's kind
of been smart is that anytime a new movie comes in,
they get one of the movies to do either an
icy slurpy flavor and then to do the actual like
(18:57):
soda machine flavor. I will say, uh, the cinnamon root
pier one was a delight actually really it felt like
Christmas it So if you want to prepare for the holidays,
you can drink that now.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Because I feel like across multiple spectrums of sweet treets,
green apples undefeated.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
It's sweet though, it's real sweet. So yeah, one of my.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Favorite go to treats actually is the Rita's Green Apple
misstil shake is delicious.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Story, but that was the only theater outside the thing
we did besides watching the movie. The movie was actually
pretty good. I think I've seen bits and pieces maybe
like a half of the original Running Man Arnold Swarzenegger.
One never read the book. Like we said earlier, Stephen
King actually made and used a pseudonyme to make it
(19:50):
because it's like completely different than everything else he was doing.
But essentially the storyline because you don't know Glen Pale
plays a guy who's down his luck. He needs to
provide for his family, and in doing so, he signs
up to be on a game show where he can
win a billion dollars if he survives thirty days running
away from assassins and and cops and all this good stuff.
And this movie is very finger on the pulse, but
(20:13):
you're like, wait, this is supposed to be a dystopian
future movie, but it's also it's now it's not really
dystopian anymore.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Those are kind of one that hit You're like, oh,
this would be funnier if this isn't.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Like back in the eighties this was funny because you
know it wasn't that wasn't happening, But now this stuff's happening.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
Now, crap, this is news stories, yeah anymore.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Edgar Wright did direct it. I feel like this was
maybe the most tamed he's been in a movie I've
seen of him, just with music and cuts and everything.
That's It's a really an action movie that's established, so
it kind of makes sense. I will say this is
probably Glenn Pal's best movie I've seen him in. I
think I think he did really good. Maybe just exposure
therapy to him that we're just used to him now.
(20:58):
It was pretty good. It was a fun time one liners.
There was you know, action galore at the wazoo and
some creative deaths too, which is pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Okay, Currently it's holding a sixty three percent positive on
Rotten Tomatoes, so it'll probably started out fresh tomorrow. It
has like one hundred and two reviews, so it'll probably
started out fresh around sixty.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
But that's good to know.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
I think The Wife and Kids maybe out Saturday, so
I'm thinking of maybe a double feature on Saturday of
this and Predator Badlands.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
It might have a interesting and wicked sodas. That's all.
Kevin's gonna be doing.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
All the wicked sodas around. Wicked.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Give me a Tornado, please, I will say. There's a
fun cameo. I'm not gonna say what it is because
you're an receiat this weekend, but it is funny. Pay attention.
Coleman Domingo killed it. He's a side character. He's like
the announcer of the whole time. But like you're like, man,
just put Coleman Domingo and everything You're instantly gonna get
like five points up on any review or anything.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Cool. I mean, did you watch that show on Netflix
with him.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
In four seasons? That's a good show. We we moren
I put it off for so long that we started
him like this actually really good this episode that was
like what he died? Yeah, you're like, oh, like you
what the hell? He was? Mean the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
But com Domingo is is just a power.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Like he's definitely has that star quality where like for
some reason when he's on the screen, he's like, who's
that guy?
Speaker 3 (22:19):
That guy has my attention?
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, And I think I'm thinking about I think now
he's finally evolving out of that that guy phase and
now he is called him in Domingo because if you
look at him up, there's not a lot on his IMDb.
A lot of it is very academy movies that you're like, oh,
I'm gonna see that. But you know, he was Norman
Osborne in A Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man earlier this year,
which is was earlier this year, right, it was the
(22:43):
last year four seasons and this so I think it's
good for him because he's been killing it and he.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Was casting Spider Man too, like something else I forgot about.
He's gonna be in Spider Man.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
I think, I don't that is right now. I don't
think so. I think he's just Norman Osborne and the
animated one.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
I think maybe that's what I'm thinking about. I thought
it was another reporter, say he was casting.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
You google that, you google that, I'll tell you. Maybe
it was a fan cast. But yeah, I thought it
was a good time. Josh Brolin also killed it. It
is definitely a popcorn movie in November, which you might need,
and it is definitely a balanced movie like Wicked coming
out next week. This is the action movie and Wicked
is this sing song movie. I'm excited for Wicked, so
(23:24):
everybody wins.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
You know, it's weirdo.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
If we've got this rash of, like you said, popcorn
movies in November, like, I feel like these movies would
have did well also in August, because August you're kind
of one of the movies. Some movies kind of dip off.
I think at least had placed were placed in August,
they could have. Some we've seen kind of lasted through
August ending in August.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Well, if you've there's fun if you've paid attention to
box office history really is you think about it. November
was a lot of times the throwaway because it was
like usually December was the musical movie and then the
biopic movie that would always come out for the longest time.
It still is, but nowadays you know, you have your
Avatar and Star Wars and next year will be Avengers
(24:04):
taking over as the December box office because movie companies
realized more people are going to the movie theaters during
the holidays. Like I saw Wicked, I think Black Friday
last year and like everyone with that, theater was packed
as hell and that came out like two weeks after
the movie came out. That makes so it makes sense
why Wicked's coming out then. And then I think for
November action movie wise, I think you tie it to
(24:27):
for Ragnarok. I think that killed it in November when
I came out, and then everyone was like, oh, you
gotta go watch action movies that came out.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
And also will Connorfever came out in November and did yes, correct, yes,
there's nothing some off we're forgetting. But like I said,
usually November when also that the christm moves came out too,
I think Home Along was released around November back in
the day. And again, like I said before, I've always
wondered why didn't release Christmas closest to.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Christmas get more box office legs because you think about
most movies have a six to eight week run in
a theater, so if you release in November, you can
get out of your theater after the first week of
January when no one cares about.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
It one or two last year, that's what came out.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
Member Utopia we got this year, which that's for the kiddies. Wicked,
that's for the girl. He's like us, so.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Looks really good.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Wicked. Look, you know you want to know who's a girl?
Right now? One at mister Eric V. He's watching Wicked
right now. He's texting me updates about it.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
It's funny, like I wanted to not like Wicked so
much last year and I watched him.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Like I know, you know what's gonna suck is he's going.
He's like, I'm gonna watch it because I don't go
to the screening with you. And more I'm like, you
better not sit next to me and my wife. You
can sit at the end of the row because you
are not ruining this movie, this movie experience for my wife.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Okay, I'll be walking my work.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Hell yeah, bro. When I went to go get the
Wicked margaritas last week, we listened to the whole damn
soundtrack on the way back home, and I parked and
I just sang out in the parking garage on my apartment.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Actually, I wonder because I don't Wicked the stage play.
I've never seen that, but I wonder if in the movie,
and there are a few new songs in the movie,
they were just for Wicked for good, but I wonder
if they incorporate some Wizard of Odd songs and it
like kind of like just as like a kind of.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Like you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
I would assume probably like as a score, like the
musical score they'll do, because they've said, uh, it's just
Wicked talk really more than what we've kind of learned,
and try not to watch as many trailers and just
to go in kind of not seeing a lot of
things obviously you know how it kind of ends. But
they said that they're not gonna focus too much on Dorothy,
(26:37):
so like they won't even show you her face in
this new movie, which is great because like I only
care about certain characters that are tied to the actual
plot of this movie and not she's her own movie.
But I will say, if you're planning to watch Wicked
next week, you gotta watch Wizard of Ouz. You gotta
watch the Wieds and Wicked all this weekend. So get
ready also and kind of bring the full circle.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Colin Domingo is gonna be Wicked for good.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
I'm not going to spoo no spoilers.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
You don't know, but he's in it.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
That's I think that's actually the movie you were thinking
of with the Marvel thing, so it might have been.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
It might have been what I was thinking about.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
But also going back to The Whiz the movie, I'm
there's still a section of Generation X, but including me too.
I don't know if you've seen The Whiz. That subway
scene is freaking terrifying.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
I think movie it is streaming, it's not streaming anywhere. Now.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
You have to buy it, Yeah, to buy it, Okay,
it's I mean, it's great, it's it's it's it's a
great it's a great musical movie in a twenty twenty
five where it's kind of weird how they cast a
like almost forty year old Diana Ross a teenager.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
But you know, whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Whatever, h If you got a VPN, you can watch
the Wiz or just probably watch on YouTube somewhere. I
feel like you're just watching youtubey somewhere.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
If they still have those, I don't they have them
or not, but they still have those, like five dollars
DVD bens at Walmart.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Probably find it there somewhere.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
I don't think they do anymore, Kevin. Honestly, I couldn't
tell you last time I saw a DVD and Walmart.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
So those were today. Look find what what's near old?
Speaker 1 (28:10):
That's a good movie, that's buy the whole Jurassic Park
collection for five dollars? What that doesn't make any sense? Okay, Okay,
that's good for me. Let's go there you go. But
now we've talked about movies that are currently out, let's
talk about movies that are on the near not near well,
I guess near horizon, and a show that's on the
near horizon as well. Because it's time for some trailer palooza,
(28:33):
so let's head on over to Reaction Theater. We're gonna
break down the first trailer for the Super Mario Galaxy movie.
So let's break it down. There you go. We did it, baby,
we did it. We did it all. So, Kevin, have
(28:54):
you seen this trailer and watch it this morning?
Speaker 3 (28:57):
It was literally like as soon as I got to
work and plucked up on and log date was like,
oh shoot the new trail. Look at that. That was like,
kuse me, Yeah, it is funny.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
This was probably the shortest Nintendo direct because it was
like seven minutes and three of those were part of
the trailer and another two minutes was character concept. But
I'm excited. I think the first movie, I no, it's
somewhere in there. I haven't stashed away. I really liked
it a lot. I think I saw it three times,
(29:27):
which is wild. But it was a fun time. I
think if you were a kid of the nineties like
I am, you watched that one with John Leguisimo and
Bob Hopkins, Bob Hoskins and Night and Day, I could say.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Cool torch though not a cool toys in the movie,
but not not a great movie to say the least.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Yes, what did you feel about the first the animated
Mario Brothers movie, Kevin?
Speaker 3 (29:53):
I just remember being.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Kind of like watching the first Sonic, I just smiled
from again in the end, it was just like this
is really enjoyed. Didn't didn't need to be like a
deep movie that changed your life, but it was a
movie that kind of hits you in like the uh
the nostalgia muscle, but not as hard as you know,
just some movies try to do with the kind of
these kind of things kind again kind of like Sonic.
It just made you kind of dive into this world
(30:16):
of Nintendo with Mario and Louisian and then this actual family, uh,
then them being the job as plumbers, them going on
a plumbing actual plumbing job. But I don't think we
ever seen Mario plum in video games. We got to
see him do some plumbing actually in this movie and
it was just downright enjoyable. And then then then even
like the small Easter Eggs and only I guess Nintendo
(30:38):
got like, you know how when he was fighting the
Donkey Kong that was clearly Supersmass Brothers. The whole scene
to get back to mushal Kinam was was Mario Kart.
So stuff like that was just like you did a
really good job of matching all this Nintendo lore into
this one movie, and it was just enjoyable.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
It's yeah, well it looks like that trend is going
to continue in this one, so you're ready to watch it.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Let's watch it all right?
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Three at two one hill, play baby, Oh.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Let's talk under stone. The Bowser carries out a walking tir.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
It said, we're starting this trailer with bowser.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Dammit, I didn't want to go to get the university.
Want on the bowser back back then. I can't eve
need to do that.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Boo, hey, big guys, you wanted to see us. Job move.
I'll be right up.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
A little and as the trimming of bus.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
Hey, Luigi, what's up?
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Maria? You Mario?
Speaker 3 (31:51):
You need a masterpiece from Princess Peach?
Speaker 1 (31:55):
What do you think? Lock the collars? It's trash. Look
at my say that.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
I'll try a stead up. Wow, I'm sorry about that.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
That's the old Bowser talking.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Still working through the demons anyway.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
I need my eight hours or else I really turned
into a monster. We got pezz Bag, we got the Stars,
the Big Star Portal.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Other orchestral spral. Things a going up. Ah, I love
the planets that.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Desert the peer maide some super Mario honysty baby yes, Browler,
I'm Bowser Junior, and I'm gonna be taking my father.
Now you're coming with me?
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Oh, hell yeah, she's playing no games.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Hell yeah, baby, that's how you're doing. Uh. There was
also some concept in the direct uh Nintendo direct presentation
where we found out Rosalina will be voiced by Bree Larson.
So Captain Marvel. She was great for her Cosakh Princess
Marvel and in Nintendo now uh and then uh, Bowser
Junior will be voiced by Uncle jams Ben Safty.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
Ben's Safty you know that name? What's he? Also in
Happy Gid moore.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
To he was the villain Happy Gilmore too. He was
also the one guy in Oppenheimer. I think he was
like the Russian guy in Oppenheimer that was like but
so against them. Oh he put the sunscreen on his
face in Oppenheimer.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
I think he's a good bad guy. Actually, I don't
think about it.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Yeah, I mean I'm excited. I mean the guy's voices
sound like Browser. That's all they really need to do
to kind of connect the familiar connection. But yeah, this
is great. I think obviously great that this trailer really
told us, Hey, Bowser Junior and Rosalina. That's so we're going,
we're going Yoshi. Maybe we'll see, yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Maybe Yoshi is like a third act thing, or maybe
say Yoshi for myle three. In general, we we we
totally skipped the Super Mario world. We're going from Mayo
Brothers Mayo Galaxy.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
There's a little world up there that you know about.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Maybe maybe that's kind of what this sets up, getting
Bouncer back into the world and going to the Donut
Planes and Vana the Vanella Dome and getting all that
stuff out the way, I don't.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Know, the dug Demodome, you know whatever. But yeah, this
looks great. I mean, this is just a teaser trailer,
so we don't know fully of the story, but we assume, uh, actually,
I don't know what to assume, actually what the actual
plot is. If you've played Super Mario Galaxy, obviously that's
the main vibe they're going for. But the cool thing is,
like we keV mentioned with Mario Kart and Donkey Kong
(35:11):
in the first movie, this is getting a lot of
Super Mario Wonder, which is the most recent game that
came out on the Switch one, and then obviously Super
Mario Odyssey vibes in this movie too.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
I want to throwing a little bit of Mao party
in this one.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Too, maybe at the beginning, I wouldn't be a surprise. Also,
obviously the bikes another clutch thing from Mario Kart of
all the bikes and the desert bikes and a lot
of stuff. Kevin, anything you still want from this movie,
at least for right now, or you're good to go
with it right now.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
I still kind of want to get at least maybe
maybe Yoshi is in the beginning, and I'm a big
Yoshi guy even want to play Mario Kart. Yoshi is
my character, even I don't even know if the characters
really matter. I love picking Yoshi. I will also maybe
kind of like a nun to h Yoshi's island. So
maybe something happens and Mario gets turned to a baby.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
I mean, technically this is bowser, this is Mario paint
with Bowser, so this movie.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
So that's a really good point. But yeah, I don't
I don't need I don't need those things, but I
would just like them. Do but do if you take
if you look at the trailer, though, Marles in a
real bad mood, what I want?
Speaker 3 (36:24):
What that's about I'll be interesting the story trail when
it kind of remember that comes out, like why is
Marles just in a bad move over that Bowser?
Speaker 1 (36:31):
But yeah, I think this would be great. I wouldn't.
I assume we probably won't get a big Donkey Kong
scene in this, maybe just a quick reference because we
know that's gonna become a movie or a show. I
would assume the end teaser for this movie would be
a warrior or wallaig. Most likely you save them up
for the next one.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Maybe maybe that's who, Like maybe Bowser wants to enlist
the team to take down these two, and that's who
we who?
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Who we find that'll be kind of cool.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Yeah, you also gotta remember this technically does The first
movie did reference a lot of the nineties movie with
Bob Hoskins and John Leguzimo because they are originally two
normal plumbers from Brooklyn that they get teleported into the
match or the mushroom Kingdom, so same rous a ply
we'll probably get some cool cameos there as well. That
(37:22):
might be where your Warrio and Wa Luigi maybe pop
up as rival plumbers or something like that.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
Actually, that would be cool if they got Donald Gazamo
to voice wa Luigi and Warrio.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
That will be kind of cool.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
Cool. Bob Hoskins is dead, but they get Dan he's gone.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
He's gone to the Mario game in the sky.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah, it looks great. I think it's gonna be a
good time and I I don't know if it'll make
a billion dollars like the first one dead, but it'll
do pretty well.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
It'll do pretty well. It'll do well.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
What's the date again in April? It still says April.
It'll probably change. I'm betting based on other movies, but
it's looking pretty stacked for like this summer where we
got Devil, Worst Prada, Toy Story five, and Mandalorian all
within it like a two month time frame, so I
think they're also probably basement on that too.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
There's none of the movie coming out next next spring.
That's going to be crazy, but it's not. It's not
the podcast with that kind of movie.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Also, just pro tip, as we switch on over to
the Toy Story five trailers, we close this one and
hopefully the next one pops up. YEP is Super madel
Galaxy that is bundled right now or if you have
the old collection now's the time to play it, so
you're familiar with the score of the game.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
I never beat some Mario Galaxy actually, so it's gonna
be interesting.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
I bought the collection and so I have it. So
that's like my if I need to switch switch games,
I'm like, boom, I can play that. So I'm excited
that I have that and can reference that. Hopefully well,
Traveling for the potentially was the main baddie and I
have no idea. I think that's the thing, like I
have known nothing. Thing I know Rosalina and Luna is
(39:02):
a little starving. That's all I know really about and
that obviously, Like it was very well reviewed, but that's it.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
It was a great game. Like I guess I'll always
talk about that game came out in the span of
it was Myral Galaxy mass effected Assassin's Creed.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
I was just in a game, Kevin, do you not
have the trailer? You go to the track, go to
the bottom right of the trailer for story five.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Yeah, it's not there, Like I don't. I don't know
why it's like that. For some reason, I'm all.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
Right, well that's what it is. All Right, you're gonna
watch the toy Story five version on Twitch right now,
and that's okay. You know, maybe just make it full screen.
Maybe see what happens, See what happens, don't we're gonna people.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
That's not gonna work. And now I can't see it.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
All right, Well, we're gonna do that.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
I'll just freesize my window real quick.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
No, let's not do that, Kevin, Let's not do that.
You're just gonna have any trailer, all right to story trade.
It's a teaser trailer anything, So it's pretty quick, so
we won't be talking about it too long, but still
cool to talk about the concepts. Are you ready?
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Let's do it all right?
Speaker 1 (39:58):
One? Two three?
Speaker 3 (40:03):
Ship?
Speaker 4 (40:03):
It?
Speaker 1 (40:04):
Is that real life or is that animated box?
Speaker 3 (40:07):
That's a good point. That's a really good point for you.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
What are they scared of? Before you've got knife?
Speaker 3 (40:26):
What peace is that? Baddy took the cars?
Speaker 1 (40:30):
Look at that? Yeah, thank you, thank you, Lily pad.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
M. I was wooty there.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
That's the other question. Yeah, they're gonna have to uh
wreck coons stuff there.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
Yeah, maybe they wouldn't found him in something. I don't know,
but they're gonna have to explain that one because we
saw we all cried and said goodbye to him through feedback.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
Don't worry about it. You didn't watch four. It's okay,
you didn't watch the end of it. You cried anyway,
couldn't se passed the tears. But yeah, this is mostly
a concept trailer, but it's an actual something. So that's
what the movie will actually look like. Looks great animated wise,
but Toy Story is kind of the litmus test for
what Pixar can do. I feel like, yep, and then
they kind of go off of that, which is why
it's gone on so long, because we like watching the
(41:25):
toys be updated over time.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
And I will say the concept of this trailer, which
is our toys over I can speak to because I
have two kids and I have mountains and mountains and toys.
Speaker 3 (41:38):
With these kids, what do they want? They want tablets?
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Wa they want the tablets, Kevin, This movie will be
a cruel reminder of the battle you're facing when it
comes out June twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
Even to the degree of the older one doesn't want
to play console games if it's not a tablet, she
doesn't even want to play it. So even that is like, honey,
this is speaking from a millennial dad's heart, like we
love toys, kids, toys was everything?
Speaker 3 (42:06):
Please thank you. We know.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Kind of the plot of this movie is, obviously, you know,
an iPad coming into the toy world with Bonnie b
mss with it. Uh, the iPad will be evil, so
that'll also help you as well as a parent.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
I won't say that the iPad itself is inherently evil,
but the software downloaded to it, that's where that's where
we get That's where we get to is it evil
or not? Because some of these, some of these it's weird,
like and I'm sorry, I'm doing a little parenting right here.
Jippy Perry and Nintendi Mike will understand. But when you're
like kind of pastly listening to what your children are watching, it's.
Speaker 3 (42:41):
Like, what the heck? Why is that? Why is that
in your children's out for worth?
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Give me your iPad, lily Pad, She'll be censored again.
But yeah, that's really all we got for this trailer.
I just thought it was worth mentioning because it's like,
all right, cool, this is actually happening now and not
just here's buzz from four movies ago on a blue
background that they've been doing.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
Here's a question though, and this this is kind of
a more of a it's not about movie quality, it's
about thinking box office. I believe, top of my head,
every Toys for movie has made a billion dollars.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
We'll just continue the trend, you think.
Speaker 1 (43:16):
I think so. I think it just depends what else
is coming out around it, because Pixar is also box
office wise. I mean obviously you got Inside Out, which
is Pisar. Yeah, yeah, I mean these are known properties.
Toy Story is a known property, whereas it's the original
Pixar movies. I don't do too hot the box office
l e oh pretty much being the main reference of that.
(43:38):
You get Toy Story, you'll get butts and seats because
you got me, you got you, You got people older
than us that still relate to Toy Story.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
Okay, yeah, I actually make Leah watch Toy Story at
least two three times a year, Like, no sit down,
you're watching Toy Story.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
But Dad, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
You will appreciate the buzz light year that is in
your room and you're not touching at all.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
I still want my bud. Last year I aid for
Christmas and I was six or seven. That seven got
it again. I thank for it every year, so maybe
one year?
Speaker 1 (44:07):
What Kevin?
Speaker 3 (44:09):
Oh no, I'm not doing it. No, okay, I'm not
doing it.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (44:12):
Well, let's switch on over the last trailer we got
Ford because Percy Jackson and the Olympians know. The trailer
came out last week, but hey, we're talking about it
right now. For one, Andy Drogan, Uh, season two is
officially coming out and I believe December. What was the date?
Was the date? December tenth with two episodes, which is great.
(44:34):
And the cool thing is which I now appreciate because
your boy isn't rocking Disney Plus and guess what, Kevin,
My family just found out about that because of the
Jonas Brothers Christmas movie. So that's gonna be interesting talking
to you. Uh pay up to Jonah's brothers?
Speaker 3 (44:50):
Is that mean? Would the guy putting the money pointing
to his hand not need the money?
Speaker 1 (44:54):
I'm doing corn brands for sinners. Give me my money
and I'll be on my way. But the interesting thing
is you can watch this on Hulu as well, which
is interesting because Disney doesn't do that all the time
with a lot of its shows.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
So yeah, I did it with and Or and I
think Ahsoka, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
No not Ahsoka, just and Or. I think and I
think Percy Jackson season one did it too, but the
Marvel shows don't do it. And yeah, like I said,
Star Wars, it's kind of peak. I think and Or
was because it was the FX vibes. But also Alien
Eur season two got that's got announced.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
That they got announced. Good job, good job, I did.
Speaker 1 (45:35):
It, guys, I did it. But the first season I
really liked. Obviously, we've talked about how we watched the movies,
and first one was good, second one not so much.
The show was really great. We talked about the entire
time they better get these kids fast because they grow
real fast. And you could tell it just in this
trailer alone too.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
I'm Percy Jackson. Wait, you've been talking that last season.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
I'll go to carre Path flood. I'm twelve years old.
No you're not. You have a mortgage, Sir, Kevin history
with Percy Jackson. Do you like it? Do you not?
Speaker 2 (46:10):
I actually enjoyed the last season, I just as I
always complayed on every episode. I wish they had gotten
more financial support because they felt like the show was
shot in a very small way. But could have been
a lot grander. But it looks like I watched this
trailer last Friday. It looks like somebody from Disney heard
me screaming to the mountains about it.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Because all right, well, let's get on into it. Then
here's the trailer for season two. Percy Jackson Olympions three
two one, looking grown.
Speaker 3 (46:45):
I usually get ones to tell me the future Percy.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
Grover looking grow grown Grover, or try to kill me
and New York. My name is Versus Jackson. Okay, j
about over about camp in. The danger that Camp is
(47:11):
under is greater than you can possibly imagine.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
About you know where he is?
Speaker 1 (47:19):
The grand sister, see all they only have one eye?
Who's sucking.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
So back?
Speaker 1 (47:32):
I'll see you out there are anti hero tree falls,
the barrier falls. Camp. We open to any attack. Safe clover, person,
you are safe. Camp for the hour was survival. You
must quest to the sea of monsters.
Speaker 3 (47:54):
Us. Here's what I talk about.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
The actually gave show some money water effects. Okay, see
it away. Let's take care of each other. That's what
real heroes tell me.
Speaker 4 (48:31):
All right, you can't get up on your sandwich, person, kick.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
Him with your shot.
Speaker 1 (48:43):
Percy's dad who's an actor. We don't really know, but
we're like, okay, he's.
Speaker 3 (48:47):
A guy and everything. He's say a foll of water it.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Water. I'm not gonna let a beefy trailer too.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
He's doing it, he's doing it.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
It'll fload to hell yeah, hell yeah. Two episodes, So
that means they'll probably wrap up middle of January probably
if you think about.
Speaker 3 (49:16):
It, now, is this the second book or whatever?
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Hoo uh so this second movie second book, So like
if you're getting vibes of like, I know how this
goes because you saw that movie, but we know it's
already been. I think it's been the renewed for season
three already. I might be confusing at one. I think
it has been. That will be where things get interesting
because that is unwarranted territory. We don't know how that
(49:42):
will look. Obviously, you know get the books and you
got some you know, illustrations of that. But I'm excited
to see how they're gonna tee that up because I
assume that will come out next year.
Speaker 2 (49:52):
Okay, Okay, as a guy who's just watching this through
the TV show and then didn't really see the older movies,
this second season looks really really cool, Like the Quest
starts sooner.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
The Quest didn't really start to what the mid season.
Speaker 1 (50:07):
Yeah, but they had to do a lot of establishing
even though we people area knew about it. But for
the new Bees, you had to establish a lot of
that stuff, just.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
Like just like Morning episode two and we'll be like
into our quest and going to find Grover and you
can kind of feel the chemistry between the actors kind
of came over from season one.
Speaker 3 (50:26):
So that's good, I have to switch. We established that,
so like I am, I'm sold for this one. Like
I said, I've been.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
I was complaining all last season, like the show is good,
but it needs more budget because this came out at
the same time as Avatar last year, and it's kind
of a similar concept of you know, a group of
friends trying to say.
Speaker 1 (50:42):
The world whatever, superpowers in the house.
Speaker 2 (50:43):
Yeah, and Netflix gave them a lot of money and
you saw it. You saw it, and I was like, well,
what why didn't Disney do that? But for a person, yeah,
they did it with this one.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
It'll actually be pretty interesting too, obviously this second season,
but for next year when it's real competition would be
the Harry Potter show, and I know, say what you
will about it, but like that's coming out next next year,
probably in August, because that's when Harry Potter goes to school.
But those are very not obviously not the same, but
(51:13):
very same vibeage to a degree. Yeah, like like you're
saying with avatar and a little bit of not really
one piece that's kind of doing its own thing. But
it'll be interesting to see can this establish it as
the front leader for young adult books turned TV shows
like all the other ones that are happening right now.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
Yeah, like like kind of like.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
When Lord of the Rings came out, Eve, though Lord
of the Rings is totally different Game of Thrones, it
was still compared to Game of Thrones. The Game of
Thrones came first. Opposite, Yes, yeah, yeah, opposite. But even
though Percy Jackson premiered first and Harry Potter's coming next,
Harry Potter has like what twenty almost thirty years of
legacy filled up behind the legacy behind it, So it's
gonna be unfairly maybe it's gonna be compared to Harry
(51:58):
Potter next year, which is an HPV album Max show.
Speaker 3 (52:00):
AFO shows are usually even if you don't watch them.
They're always pretty good for some reason.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
Uh And it is fun fun fact, six years ago
today I actually signed up for Disney Plus. Is when
Disney Plus launched this week. Uh So it is interesting
that like, all right, look at that first five years
of Disney Plus compared to now, and a lot of
the shows aren't even on the streaming service anymore. So
being to see for Disney Plus to continue, obviously it's
(52:26):
gonna get that Hulu integration next year. Uh fully is
this is obviously a front runner show. You got Star
Wars and Marvel, but what are what are the other
things that keep it going? You know?
Speaker 2 (52:39):
I mean because I mean with whole innigation, they'll get
the Handmaiden's Tales. I don't think that's over yet. I
think that's coming back.
Speaker 1 (52:43):
No, that is over, it's over over, okay.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
But but also the innovation get all the FX shows
as well, and all usually all the FX shows are
pretty top notch. But at the same time, all the
FX shows can't be watched by a Disney family. So
you're gonna need that family and that you know, content
that everybody can watch it, that it's not dumb down
because the kids and their parents are watching.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
It needs to be good so everybody can watch it.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
Oh so Disney Plus just seeds to figure out. I
know you can watch Hulu stuff on there. Now it
just doesn't look good. They gotta figure out. I'll organize that.
We're not where you go to a Hulu tab and
then all the Hulu things are up there. It's figure out,
organize it better.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
Now it's getting better because on mine, the main issue
is still like if I watch King of the Hill
on Disney Plus and say I watch I don't know
season five, episode three, that and I pull up on Hulu,
Hulu won't be sync while watching Disney Plus. It will
be whatever I watch it again on Hulu, so it
might be season nine, episode one. So it's still they
(53:45):
work some bugs out there.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
And it's kind of weird that happens.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
But overall, Kevin, you can switch it out of reaction theater.
We got a ton of good stuff to watch next month.
Obviously got weekend next week at running Man this weekend,
so Toobia. The following week after they got Percy Jackson
in there, they got Avatar in there.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
I think that they also got Stranger Things on the
twenty Oh.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
Yeah, Stranger Things too, which how are we gonna review
that on this podcast? Probably just in batches. You get
the first batch, the second batch, that third batch we
got back from holidays.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
So I think I think that's smart too, because I mean,
everybody's gonna watch it on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
Because I meant stuff going on, you're playing board games,
you're stuck, stuck at gran Paras.
Speaker 2 (54:26):
Also, you know I've been told this, but usually that's
like one of the biggest drinking games of the year,
so people don't even be sober enough to watch it
over the weekend.
Speaker 1 (54:34):
There drinking party anytime they say upside Down or Demi
Gorgon take a shot.
Speaker 3 (54:40):
Did you watch the first five minutes they released on.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
I did not. Oh, I skimmed through it. But it's
all like, oh will is younger now, like, okay, it
was weird. They Okay, I'm not gonna watch it. I
never do that because I'm like, I want to see
the movie. I don't want to see it. Yeah, I mean, hey,
the theme song will hit. It always hits. Pre ship
you got what ten more of them? No one will
(55:03):
care about it anymore.
Speaker 3 (55:04):
Yeah, that's a good point. Uh shoot, I'm still singing
pushing up roll Up Hill, run it up to.
Speaker 1 (55:10):
Yeah, that'll be interesting what the song will be of
this season, because you know they definitely want to try
to capitalize on that same thing with just going back
to Mario, what the song will be for Mario, because
you know that's why Jack Block is back his bowser
to make him do another song. More than anything you
create now more songs. We need other peaches do one
(55:30):
on apples.
Speaker 2 (55:32):
It's funny to say, because I remember one of our
one of our best videos shorts on YouTube was what's
your Vecna song back.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
In the day?
Speaker 1 (55:39):
Exactly? Uh So we'll see what happens. We got jam
packed next few months, no star Wars, no Marvel, just
og original content really or I mean sort of to
an agree, Well, we.
Speaker 3 (55:52):
Will get a Marvel trailer in the next month.
Speaker 1 (55:55):
Ohull.
Speaker 2 (55:56):
Supposedly everybody, I mean all the industry uh Scoopers and
that's what I'm saying. It's definitely attached to Avatar, fire
and Ash and apparently they went through like three different
cuts of a trailer.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
They find one they want it, So everybody's saying it's
gonna happen. So I'm trusting that's gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
Because I still want to fire and ash anyway, but
it's gonna be people will be really mad.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
If it's not, it'll be Spider It'll be Spider Man instead.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Watch makes more sense because it comes out before it
you would.
Speaker 1 (56:27):
Think who knows? Who knows? Because they probably want to
be next Christmas. You remember how Transformers used to be.
Here's here's a trailer for a movie one year away
from now, like okay, Cool Fast Very two, next Summer
Fast X part two. Who the hell knows when, even
though it should have been filmed with part one at
the same time, like Wacked.
Speaker 2 (56:47):
And that's a very good point. Save money that way too.
That's why they shot. They're shooting Secret Wars and dunes
today that way. That's why they shot Indiana Jones. I
think I'm shot that way too.
Speaker 1 (56:56):
M hm.
Speaker 3 (56:57):
No, was something else back in the day, but yeah,
it's probably.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
To do it though, or the rings. That's what you're
thinking of.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Rings, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (57:05):
But that's what we got for today's episode. It was
a trailer palooza, and I knew it'd go full hour.
That's why I baked in an extra story just in case,
because I knew we weren't going to get to it.
Speaker 3 (57:14):
It's called producing.
Speaker 1 (57:15):
We've been doing it for a long damn straight to
put the story you want to cut at the end,
cut time for a reason. But we will be back
on Monday giving our full spoiler reviews of Dispatch, with
its final two episodes out now, so obviously get some
time to play that. We'll be talking about this Gorilla
Grod show and whatever else news comes out over the weekend,
because let's face it, probably maybe a trailer or two.
Speaker 3 (57:37):
More getting everything but a Batman I swear well.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
We got batfam that's on Prime Video. You can watch Batfan.
