Queen Amina young sister was out there doing the poetry slam.

It was the kickoff for Black History Month this weekend,
and boy, things were going up from some of our
favorite you know, religious institutions to community, uh you know organizations.

Thrive City was doing a big biz.

Yeah. They had a humongous Black History event outside shoutout
Queen Amina young sister was out there doing the poetry slam.
They had craft food, whole bunch of kids out there
doing some dancing.

It was a movement that our one O six Cameo
Street team was out there talking with the.

People, mingland and whatnot. You know what I'm saying.

It was definitely a positive and good look out there
at Thrive City.

But don't forget this is going to continue through the month.

So coming up this weekend, I will encourage my seniorears, juniors,
and transfer students. You can meet up one on one
with college representatives, get educational information, and learn more about
available resources from historically black universities and other institutions. The
twenty first Annual Black College Expo will be going down
ten am to five pm. That's this Saturday, February eighth.

There is a small entry cost. It's like seven to
ten dollars at the Oakland Marriotte Center City Center, which
is one's there's zero one Broadway in Oakland. You can

Go and get that education, y says, and make sure
you come out for a family celebration and community eighth
annual Black joyt Parade and Festival is going to be
happening on the twenty third of this month right out
there in downtown Oakland between fourteenth and Franklin Street. This
thing is always a huge event, you know what I mean.
