I was like, yo, they were like this ain't Kenny Smith.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I'm like, no, this who's the DJ? It was?

Speaker 4 (01:11):
And so that's how that's how one like ten years ago,
there you go. It's just on satellite and he was rocking.
Oh my god, it was incredible.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
You're giving him too much love. He's not gonna fit
his head through that door.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
I go through.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
I was like, who's the DJ. Yeah, I don't even
know who the personality was, but he was DJ.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
He was probably the personality and the DJ exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Yeah, he's gonna be to He's at my benefit tonight. Uh.
Here in San Francisco.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
We're doing a great benefit for Education Reform Now and
uh we have some great partners. Education Reform Now is
a is a charity I work with to make sure
that no matter what your zip code is, you have
the same education.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
That's good.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
That's the most important thing. A lot of charter schools. Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Empire Music Group, yes, uh.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Oh, they're celebrating their fifteenth anniversary, so we're partnered with them.
We got Saratoga Water, we have resort World flyhouses flying
in the celebrities on private jets.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
It's gonna be one of them nights, y'all.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Where it is.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yeah, the whole it is a invite only and we
will not let you in. If you know somebody that
knows somebody that knows somebody all right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
You got a poker game going on in there.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
That's that's the charitable part. You know.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
We have a charity poker tournament going on and then
it goes into the party. It's just but really it's
a celebration of what we've done all year. Uh, and
we just do it at All Star Weekend. You know,
we work with a lot of different other charities, you know,
feed the children of habitat from manity at times, you know,
but this is the culmination of what it is here

(02:56):
and it All Star Weekend. The stars of stars walking around.
We have a lot of stars going in there as
there's gonna be a lot of stars in the building.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Yeah, what's the buying thirty thirty k you know what, this.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Is pretty much a sponsored already. Most of the celebrities
are there just to be there. Most of the people
there that are invited, but our sponsors have taking care
of all of those needs.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
And once this is once you get there, you have
a good time and you and you play in it
and then you you know, we have some great gifts
you know if you if you win, and uh, it's
a fun event. It's just a fun event. You know
we got two changes performing. That's big. But more no,
that's not big. I'm gonna tell.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
You we're in a bay right.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Too short, you got too short coming through.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Larry June is coming. It's got a lot of play,
a lot of people in here.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
That's gonna be the place to be the Knight.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
I got your tickets, all y'all.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Good God.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I'm not trying to hit the gambling table.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
I just want to know how much Chuck about to
throw down, because I feel like that's your gotta be
doing the most gambling now.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
It's not real money. It's like monopoly money. It's sorry,
it's not in Vegas.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
We're in.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
But it's funny how even though there's like there's some
prizes that you win at the end, but the competitive
juices of people.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Come right if you go to these Charry E.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Vincent, it's like, come on seven if you're not really
winning money, but you went in for a good cause
and some and for great kids.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
We're gonna have to take a quick break and come
back because Kenny Smith is taking over the Snagy Morning
Show today for All Star Weekend. Because speaking on Chuck,
we gotta have to have we have to have a conversation. Okay,
oh yeah, okay, no, we have to have a conversation.
He be running that mouth. What's coming up next morning?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Six?

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Can't like Kenny Smith in the building taking over the
Sunnagy Morning Show from inside the Ana where you go.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
But up you can say, got them jet, it's Mornay's
all start weekend. We got the people from all over
the world coming into your town. Time to get up.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, right and easy on the bippin. Let's take a
look at these streets real quick biz. All right, the
takeover has be done. Sonaday Morning Show getting taken over
by Kenny Smith, the Jet, the jet mane.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I'm happy to be here. Happy NBA All Star Weekend celebration.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Yes it is, and it's a celebration of all all
the accomplished into everyone out the year. Play just players,
not just players, not just players everyone.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Yeah, I mean players. Holiday is everyone every Friday, right.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Y'all start the whole players holiday, all the trees, y'all
started everything. Shout out to my my uh fake cousin forty.
Shout out to him every time he sees me, he says,
with cousins, because we both had knock knees.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
He's like, we gotta be related. We both got knockedkneed way.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Shout out to Fieldmo Like he texted me. He's like, hey,
tell Kenny that I got some trees that will straighten
out that knee.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Right, everything comes back, I'll keep my crooked knee.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Speaking of crooked Uh, what's wrong with Charles Man? Why
does he hate the Bay? So the hate was so heavy,
like over the last I don't know how many months
when he was here. I was a little fearful for
him because he was out there and he just does
not like the Bay area. He went into depth about

(06:36):
how you know being here is dangerous. Granted he's not wrong.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Okay, that wasn't the part was wrong. It can be dangerous.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
They can. They're talking about the Warriors and just it
was it's excessive, is it not?

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Well?

Speaker 4 (06:50):
You know what I always say, here's a guy from Leeds, Alabama,
and y'all worried about what he's saying about San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Nobody even heard of his town, nobody's heard it.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I was like, you know what I told him, you
don't have When he tried to critique New York, I'm like,
you don't have the right to, you know, if you
don't have, If you don't have I have more people
in the apartment of complex I grew up, and then
your whole town. You cannot critique my city. It doesn't work.
So every time he does the same thing about New York,
any big city, Yeah, he does.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
New York that way. He does they that way because
he says from a small town.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
He said, what do you say something about all the
rats running around? I'm like, but I said, I go
to Leeds, Alabama and there's pigs running around.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
So it's like, no, you can't do not take him serious?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, do not. It's hard.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
He's from Leeds, Ali. Are you worried about somebody from Leeds, Alabama?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
I mean, I want him to stop, That's what I want.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
And he's talking about our crown jewel aka Stephen.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
What are you talking about the to worry? Well, yes,
he's well when they're wedding, he was not. However right
now and the transition is what he's worried about, just
the whole transition. Are they better? Are they gonna? Are
they contenders? You know, because Charles plays attention to contenders.

(08:14):
But I think the Warriors on a on a path
of like we have this these groups, this group, and
we need to add one more to it eventually to
be a contender game. But with Jimmy and Steph, you're
gonna start winning games.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah, I believe that.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Yeah, I'm here for it. Man. I think they said
the other day, he was like, we got our one,
so I'm hoping we.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
All spoiled too. Though.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Excuse you, yea, in the last ten years, y'all want
like four o'clock, and there's nobody in the world that
one has won as much as the Warriors.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Your New York is showing just because we can't.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
We lost in the Western Conference final, Like, you're not
hard people. People from the Bay. They called me all,
my all, my boys, They're like, oh my god, we
love I'm like, what's the conference finals? That means the
top four teams in the world. Like, but y'all spoiled
out here. Y'all win championships.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
We just used the greatness.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
Checks rubbing off on you spoiled. You have to move
down a little bit.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Okay, I love the Bay. You know, since I was
a Sack, I got drafted by a sacrament O King. Hey,
but I probably lived in the Bay more than sacrament
I was dropping that forty five.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
There's nothing to do out there, and that's wine out here.
Them in their beam hooly back. We gotta continue this
cowboy talk about some trades and of course more about
All Star weekends. Morning saw did you board and show
Kitty Smith taking this thing over for All Star Weekends?
So happy to have you here.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Oh, it's happy to be here. I'm happy to be here.
I love the Bay.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
This is one of my favorite places in the world.
You know, you stay downtown in the hotel and you
can look over the city.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Oh my god, it's no place like it.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
It's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
There's only other one other city that I love more
is in New York City.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Here, he goes, I'm a concrete jungle.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
But that's why I like the Bay. I'm from the
concrete jungle. This has a lot of concrete field in
this area. Yeah, you know, so, I love it.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
I appreciate you got to get more into trades and
talking about some different things. What you got going on
for All Star coming up? We gotta take a look
at these streets. So what's going on? We got Kenny
in here, rappings, no doubt right.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Music lessons.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Right, we were talking about samples. I was like, oh,
he has to you know, teach his daughter or whoever.
Like you know the samples. Everything comes from something. Everything
is regurgitated. Right.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
They're talking about squabble up in the hottest line, Kendrick
Open is up. Ain't no other rap kings in this thing?
They all siblings. That's Biggie from kicking the door. That's yeah, no,
but it's it's it was thoughtful to do. He understood
why he needed that. He's to who he's talking to.
Ain't no other rap kings in this thing. He knows

(11:04):
who he's talking to. Siblings, They are just brothers. One shot,
they disappeared right now. That's that's Biggie though. But Biggie
and kicking the door, so little music lessons here, we.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
Are music lessons, ye, Like you knew that. I was like, no,
he's like.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Hip hop generation, hip hop.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
First generation, Like I'm the I was the sample audience
to see if it would work, you know. I was
that I was running around with a kingo and my
hat and a name out and the name chain and
all of that.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
In high school.

Speaker 4 (11:44):
I wasn't a jet until my like Senior, but I
had the Kenny with the New York's on top of it,
with the hot.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
With the with the part in the side. You can
be trusted, so.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
It could be.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
So did you show.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
We're gonna say that Kenny Smith taking over today for
All Star Weekend. Man, it's such a pleasure to have
you in here talking about everything basketball. We talked about
Kendrick's performance. We did that off the air, so you
can check the Sono cast for that later. And we
were talking trades with Jimmy coming to the Warriors, and
then I was like, did you know about Luca?

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Did not know a lot, but I you know, right afterwards,
I talked to the parties involved. Yeah, and uh, you
know for Luca, when the Lakers is to secure the future, right,
you know, they could have possibly won with a D
you know. But they were like, are we gonna win
four years from now when Lebron is retiring three years
from now? No, so Ad might be ready to start

(12:42):
hanging up in four or five years. Twenty five year
old secures our ten year future.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
We can build.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Around that and Lebron as he's there and still possibly win.
The Mavericks Man people thought it was a bad trade.
I hear that, you know, for the casual fan, but
they will be hard to guard. Whin a d is healthy.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
You know.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
The biggest thing is we don't want to see his
wardrobe in his house, right, you know, we want to
see him in the Mavericks when he suited up and
he's playing the powerful position.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
He is too athletic and too Yeah, he's a force for.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
For the most Powerfulwards to God. That's a thirty point
night for him every night.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Every night.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
But but again, the key is staying healthy. We know
historically has been mister.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
No bro the street close. Like I said, we see
a lot of his street clothes. We know his wardrobe
really well, you know, like, oh, he likes to wear black,
so we see him all the time on the sideline.
But when he's on that court, my gosh.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Yeah, Lakers championship coming up?

Speaker 4 (13:49):
No no, no, no, no, not a championship. Yeah, that
would that would hurt the Bay if the Lakers won.
Does that hurt the Bay when the Lakers went?

Speaker 5 (13:58):
You know, I'm not a big hater like that when
they when we hate everybody, I'm more mad when they
get regular season wins.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Here at chasing or that's really.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Okay, gotcha.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Yeah, but you know, because it's the one thing that
I always say about here is the culture of like
the love of the city. Like you could say something bad,
but I only I could say, it's bad, that's mine,
he's mine. We might that's he's a butthole, but that's
my butthole, you know what I mean. It's like, no,
I can only say that, you know, period, like y'all,

(14:31):
y'all are like y'all vicious with that guard my standing guard.
But you know what, you know why, I know, debate
the first time I'm really started loving my One of
my favorite artists at all times is Raphael.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
So.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
I was living in Sacramento when I got there, and
it was Jay King from Club Nouveau and he was
living He lived in my area and he was he
started that that whole sound, and then in Vogue was
coming out, Tony Tony, So I was living that around
all of that. I used to run into them all

(15:05):
the time, and so I was like in that era
and they like this is coming out next week. This
is when they used to give you tapes coming next week.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
Yes, this is my unversary, my God, I love you.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Man.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
That was that was a good times.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
And uh, one of the other Tony Tony Tony members,
his son played for my AU basketball team.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
It was I was.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
I was in trinch all connected, was connected out, I
was connected.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
So you got a huge event tonight, Yes, a charity
event that's going to be crazy. It's gonna be the
who's who, who's who over the world stars and stars
doing education reform.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Now. Uh Empire Music Group's fifteenth year anniversary. Uh have
a resort world Saratoga Water Flyhouse. I told you the
early they're a private jet company flying in off the celebs.
So it's just one of those that it's one of
those things.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
It isn't money talk.

Speaker 5 (16:07):
I mean the whole weekend you GM and the All
Star Game itself. Yeah you do. You have some real
hitters on your squad though.

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Yes, well I took all of the gen Z guys,
everybody who's young. I took them other and but you
had to be from America.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Oh really, you didn't getting none of the euro boys.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Chall took all of your every European players. Nope, I
took and you know why, I said, I want guys
who know the history of the All Star Like if
you grew up in America that every night, every day,
you had to know you watched that All Star. Yeah,
you watched it, and so now you're in it. For
the first lot of these guys, I have a first

(16:47):
and second time as they understand what that meant. But Wimby,
the time zone is different. He probably wasn't watching an
All Star game. Now he's a great player. Yeah, but
Jaron Jackson junr is gonna come play harder to me?

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Okay, all right, man, Tyler heroes coming to play.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Hard ain't gonna do it the show. That's the guy.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
Come on, man, I'm I'm banking on the fact that
they're young. And and then Charles has all the O G.
So I mean I was shock has all O G.
He's got Steph, he's got Lebron. But I said they're
gonna be taking naps at halftime.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Damn Steph. See we understand this.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Man on your team. He's tired.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
You mouth. You know.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
I didn't say he wasn't good. I said say he
wasn't good. I said he gets tired. I got you, bro,
Listen when I'm now I'm older, I get up in
the middle of the night. He use the restroom. I
didn't do that when I was young.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
You're not wrong, and that is where he take you.
They gotta go out there and ball out too. If
the things happened to your body, it's just that's what
it is, all right. Well, we're so happy to have
you here. Shout out to all the celebs and everybody,
all the ballers that came out this weekend to celebrate
in the Bay. I know we get a bad rep.
We're a little dangerous. It's a little dangerous. We have

(18:08):
a good time. There's so many positive events around this.
If you've got a ticket to the CELEBT Game or
the All Star you're gonna have a great time. Man,
It's gonna be a lot of who's who in there.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Yes, I guess I love it. It's the culture of
the food. The view can't bea the V but you
gotta be up top. You gotta be up top.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Don't forget to send my message to Chuck too when
you get back up on it insight.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
The NBA and now you ain't even here.
