Speaker 1 (00:00):
A bit of this and a bit of that.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Sports stories Rob and MJ missed and more. It's time
for Devils and Bits on the Rob Devil Show.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Well, I.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Mean, I think we've missed the big story where the
Brewers beat the Padres. Both of us went to bed
early because we had to be over here at about
8 o'clock in the morning. That's right. Last Park and
Charitable Foundation golf tournament. At Tunx's Plantation in Farmington. Great
golf course. I've been golfing here since the 70s. Great playable.
It's a public golf course, people. There's two full 18s,

(00:37):
an extra nine out there. Yeah, we played the extra nine.
It's beautiful. I think I only lost like three balls,
which is amazing to me. You and I were pretty
about three or four. I usually lose about 20.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
You and I were straight in the course.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
We were okay. My drives weren't bad today.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
No and we play about three times a year so
well i'm i play more i don't have an excuse
you do which is uh which is true um we
got our company out and go show a week from
today over at quarry ridge which will be fun but
no if you haven't come to tungstis it's beautiful you
can see the vibe of the clubhouse so you used
to be kind of private and and now it's obviously
open to the public but great course the greens are

(01:10):
are big and and they're the putts are straight but
you and i held their own we had some fun
with the shout out ryan you know ryan donahue one
of our Our AEs and Chris as well.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
We had a good foursome.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
A lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Got it about 14 holes and came back to do
the show.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Not a bad day. This story broke about 20 minutes ago.
Asia Wilson got her fifth. Count that. Five on one hand.
WNBA MVP award.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
That's just, I mean, she dominates. Absolutely dominates in the WNBA.
She's hands down the best player for a reason.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
That's three in a row. Three straight for Asia.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Where do you place the trophies?

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Five MVPs?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Does she have her own mantle of that in her
own house?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
That's a great question.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Where do the trophies go?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
You know what I miss? I miss MTV Cribs.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, like a look inside the house.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I mean, obviously, we don't have to see her whole house,
but I'd like to see that room.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
I would, too. Yeah, I mean, a trophy room.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I want to see, like, Jeter. Jeter's got five World
Series trophies.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
And he sold his house in Florida.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh, really?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
The only way you could get to it was a boat? Yeah,
the one that's insane right on the water. I think
he sold that a year or two ago, but it's
the ultimate mansion of mansions if you're looking for one.
All these guys, LeBron, these super incredible athletes like Tiger,
guys that have won multiple majors.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Feel? I'm nosy that way. A, I love architecture. B,
I love to see, well, what do these people love
to decorate with? They have plenty of money. It's not
about the money, but how do they decorate it and
stuff like that?

Speaker 3 (02:46):
What are they choosing? What sort of materials? How's it look?
How's the glass trophy room look?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Is it spaced out? Is it in a certain room?
Not everybody's into trophies. Not everybody's into stuff like that.
Even Paul O'Neill, my good buddy, yes, he displays his stuff,
but I don't think he's ever worn a world championship ring.
Certain people do, right? He's not into that kind of stuff.
He's a very humble person. And, you know, he's living,
one of his houses that he has, and he's got

(03:14):
a place down in Florida, but the place that he
still has in Ohio, he's owned that since the 80s.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I mean, he's not the kind of guy, he doesn't like,
you know. want wealth or anything like that. I do
know that Matt Holiday is selling his place in Oklahoma. Oh,
it's massive, right? Yeah, it's a massive farm. It's got
like a bunch of baseball facilities inside of it that
he helped train his kids and stuff like that, but
it's too big. He wants to downsize now that the

(03:44):
kids are moved out and older.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Must be nice.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Remember the old NASCAR driver, quickly, Tony Stewart? His house
looked like a Bass Pro Shops, literally.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Some of these athletes, man, it's unreal.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
We'll be right back from Farmington.
