to that yesterday, wasn't.

he got out in front of it a little bit.
Week one college football starts tonight. Yeah, that's what I
was talking about.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Your energy a teed O win Arragheedtty deep of the
game that he without scattering and he hits till late.
We got Altuve just running on Bryce Harper, right.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
What are you doing? Bryce? Get up? Son?
Speaker 5 (01:12):
Come on, son, you're a pro, You're veteran. Jord On
every ball he looked at went into the seats last night,
and I'm gonna tell you this Gamble is your everyday
left fielder. When Tucker comes back, I'm in right now.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
You can't.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
He has to stay in there, he has to play.
You know what he looks like. He looks like a
you know, he reminds me of Ben Foster, the actor
that was in Hell or high Water.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
The brother.
Speaker 5 (01:37):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It's just kind of
a little grit. He's got a neck beard. You know,
he got a neck beard. I feel like the guy
probably puts a dip in. I mean, maybe I'm wrong.
I don't know if he's if he's chewing gum or
a dip. He just feels he feels like a guy
who's got pine tar all over his helmet by game thirty,
you know where it's like a different colored helmet. There's
a grind about him that just he's just tough ass out.
(02:00):
He's my he's been you know, he's been down the
hard road because he's been let go before. Back in
Major League baseball, guy's raking. When Tucker comes in, I'm
moving him to left field until he doesn't hit. He
starts every day, every day, his bats have been so phenomenal, man, Yeah,
I do.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
And I love the way he's.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
He just does when you look at it, there's like
some grit like I could picture him maybe having a
little uh chewing the back in his his his goateeer,
his five o'clock shadow. You know what I'm saying during
a game, not really caring what it's. What's there, Just
a frigging grinder with pine tar everywhere. That's my He's
my kind of player.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
Man.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
He does have he does have some Ben Foster.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
I think, Well, I'm sitting here looking him, saying, Who's
he reminded me of it? I'm thinking feisty doing his thing,
just scrapping around, not the He's not the superstar brother
that the other one in held in high water Chris
Pine right, and just he's the one that's doing everything.
I mean when I'm saying, I'm talking about the grind
of doing a lot of dirty work as a way.
I look at blue collar through and through my kind
(03:01):
of guy, and he reminds me of Ben Foster. And
like I said, neck beard damn near goes down to
his Adams Apple.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Dude. He just love his grind.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
He just took he just I expect him when he
goes home that he works on his car or truck
in the his car's trucks, works on his motorcycle, or
is classic a classic car that he bought, you know,
with his first signing bonus.
Speaker 7 (03:20):
Right.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I just I love his game, man, I do.
Speaker 8 (03:23):
Now.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
I don't know if he's going to sustain it or not,
but I'll tell you right now, I'm taking advantage of
every second of how hot he is.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Dude.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
He's hitting fourth since being acquired by the Astros. He
is hitting four thirty five on base of four eighty,
slugging a five twenty two. That's an ops of over
one thousand.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
If it wasn't for yesterday's jord On, he's been the
best hitter on the road right now, on this trip,
he has been their best hitter. Yes, So I'm just
to me right now, and like I said, well, how
can we can he sustain it?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Hell, some guys refine themselves and all sudden become stars
in the league. We can go through that list of
all times you think that guy was gonna be.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (03:57):
He got released by two or three teams and became
a stuff' I don't you know, I'm talking about other
players along in the past. So I just love his
I don't know, man, whatever it is is grit. Dana
Brown loves, you know, players with grit. He's talked about.
He just looks like a guy. He feels like the
guy that you got a fist fight to get out
of the lineup.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah. Good, then he got Ben Foster.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
I completely agree, man, I feel like they needed this.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
I feel like he's a boost.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
I don't know what kind of guy he is or
in the clubhouse, or if he's a guy who talks
or he jokes around or he just comes to work
and you know, the old thing puts his nose to
the grindstone. But I know this puts Ben Foster in.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Him, does he not?
Speaker 4 (04:38):
He does? Look at his So I was just I
was just looking up his like media picture. So the
one obviously he's still in a Mets uniform. So Ben
Gamble And then here's a couple of Ben Foster a right,
So here's Ben Gamble, Ben Gamble.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Hence the same first name. He Now get rid of
that full beard and go like five o'clock shouts.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Now look at Ben Foster, dude, it's the same dude,
Ben Gamble, it might now put the same.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Like little good the goatee look that Foster has. It's
with some five o'clock shadow around the go tee. Stick
it on, Gamble and we got to stand in. Yeahs IMDb,
here we go.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
So you feel me? Speaking of I am dB. Did
you see the what's his name? Adam Sandler gave you
a shout out on I forgot what show yesterday?
Speaker 9 (05:27):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (05:28):
The New Heights podcast? Do you see that? I did
not What do you mean? I did not say? I
promise I haven't seen it. What do you see me?
I haven't seen the clip. That's my guy man? Yeah,
oh my god, that's the New Heights. Who's that? That's
the Kelsey brothers.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Oh that's right. Yeah, Oh my gosh. One of our
listeners tweeted you about it. You have to go back
through your you mentioned she She said, Hey, Sean Salisbury,
Adam Sandler just gave you a shout out on the
New New Heights podcast. I'm assuming it has to do
with movies, because they probably asked them about.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
The best actor. Who's not an actor pretty much, there's
an athlete. Yeah, I mean I got snubbed you the
best supporting actor in a comedy role.
Speaker 9 (06:09):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
I mean, we we all know that, right, don't we
Uh don't, don't, don't back off. No, no, no, I
thought you were like I thought you were part of
publicist too, from playing publicist for you.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
I'm waiting for you to go through your tweets. I
don't know, but it's in there. Yeah, come on, you'll
see it.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
It was just how far back I gotta go? About
two o'clock, I think, gosh, how far back you sending me?
Speaker 10 (06:29):
Dog?
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Damn? How many tweets do you get a day?
Speaker 5 (06:32):
A million and a half, maybe a million point two,
maybe one point seven.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
It's in there. Uh, keep it going. We're gonna We're
gonna keep We're gonna find it. Don't you worry? What? Uh?
I don't know who's it from. I can't remember on Dog,
you didn't what do they do it?
Speaker 5 (06:51):
Pennant or whatever they call it?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
But oh it's Grace, Thank you.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Getting a shout out from Handler on the New Heights podcast, Well, Grace,
if you're listening, can you tell me what?
Speaker 3 (07:05):
He said? She maybe shouted out to the shown stuck
to the movie. He didn't get snubbed he'll never be
in another movie. No, I don't. Sam Man's my guy man.
I like that. I like that man.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
Maybe maybe there's a chance that I'll be the next
Daniel day Lewis.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Who what did you just say?
Speaker 9 (07:26):
On?
Speaker 3 (07:26):
But don't look yet.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
Yes, he's only won three Academy Awards, and he's he's
aside from Denzel Watching, maybe this generation's best actor.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
And you've never heard of him.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
I mean I've heard of him, but he doesn't look
familiar anyway.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
A lot of them he picks about one a year,
and then when he picks one, it's like he or
won every two years, and he wins an award every
time he's in a movie.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Daniel day Lewis.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
Picks a movie, wins an award, wins the Academy Award,
and I'll see you in three years.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
That Daniel d what every three or four years? Well
that's nice, thank you? Is he the joker? No? So
Daniel Day.
Speaker 5 (08:08):
Yeah, my guy man, he's not really my guy, but
you know sometime, I mean he's probably a little better
actor than I am. There with three Academy Awards, but
I mean he thinks I probably got snubbed for bench armers.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
You know what I'm saying, Lincoln, there will be blood,
the last of the Mohicans.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
The fact that you don't know who and he you
can't even go back that, Oh he's an old school now,
you can't even go there.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
He's your era. I haven't he's older. But Daniel day
Lewis is one of these.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
Daniel day Lewis is probably the best, if not first,
he ain't third when it comes to best actors of
this generation. Every time he's every time he's in a movie,
it feels like he only chooses roles. He can go
win an Academy Award and they're not very often, but
what he does must be very good. Interesting. I know
you don't even know Jack nicholsons. You think he's the golfer.
(08:53):
That would be Nicholas, not Nicholson, Yeah, Nicholson, Nicholas. Well, Grace,
thank you, that's nice. I'll have to go back and
figure out what mys not even my account, Listen. I
got better things to do, and like they spend twenty
hours a day on social media, unlike you, I.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Was taking a nap chase. What we're gonna say, what
is it? Would you like?
Speaker 5 (09:15):
What would people like like like all the zoids? What
it was that called? Is there a certain phrase? What
do the kids say call that? If you're I'm just joking,
but like if we if you go on there and
you're like, what's it called? When you spend all day
on social media? What do they call those guys?
Speaker 3 (09:30):
What do you call it? These days?
Speaker 11 (09:32):
When you spend all day on social media?
Speaker 3 (09:34):
What do we call? Is there a nickname for him?
Speaker 12 (09:37):
No?
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Dumbassad you know that's a good friend you are. Yeah,
I don't spend all day on social media.
Speaker 13 (09:45):
Though.
Speaker 5 (09:45):
My favorite part of social media is will when when
they come out and say we're gonna get rid of
all the bots, and you get more porn bots than
anybody ever. When you and I walked and said, I
mean it's this and sometimes it'll roll back, it's the
same picture. It's like this gal here, dude, it was bad.
Oh for a minute, it was like it was bad.
We're talking about you put a tweet up and four
(10:07):
hundred of them would like it from other accounts.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
It's like, huh, it's like you got you got like
ten instant likes. Then you're like, oh, they're either in bitco.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Why is that the crypt why I want to know
why it is that the porn bots are always volved
in crypt I don't know. Man.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
Then you're going like, oh, she responded, she loves me
because I go to a stripper the porter. Then the
stripper fell in love with me because you because you
laughing up one time. I mean, if that hasn't happened
to be times for her, we all know one of
those guys she likes me. Man, if I could tell
a story, I wouldn't. I'd leave his name out. If
I could tell you a story on air, I think
(10:50):
I probably could, but it might you know, I can
tell you a story on air about one years ago
buddy of mine, but I would never ever.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Let you get any idea who it was. But he
was having a good time.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
No he didn't do anything, but it's just listed when
he when he after ADM Like, dude, you can't fall
in love like that with one day. I mean I
didn't go in. I was outside waiting. Yeah, I was
outside waiting make sure you got home safe. Yeah exactly.
That's a good friend to make sure. So yeah, well
that was nice my man saying yeah, there you go.
Good good for him. Yeah, what he said, I don't
(11:27):
know what he said.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
Maybe you're great. It's nice to your friend that you know,
trying to hear hear what he said? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:32):
Man, right, So back to Daniel da Lewis you got problems?
Speaker 3 (11:36):
I know? Uh, Daniel Cormier, he's a UFC guy, and
yeah he's an announcer now yeah, yeah, Daniel James Blunt.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
You know Daniel Boone is?
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Is that? Is that related to Aaron Boone and Brett Boone?
That the father? I'm getting a little worried about you?
Are you? Who is it? Daniel Boone? Daniel Yel Boone
was a man, was a good man. Oh he was
an American settler. Huh. And you didn't know that?
Speaker 13 (12:07):
No.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
I know who Brett Boone is.
Speaker 4 (12:09):
I know who Brett Boon is. I know who Aaron
Boone is. Bob Boone, Bob Boon is their dad? Sorry,
do tell me, But you don't know who Daniel Boone is.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
I know who Tom? Uh? Daniel Boone? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (12:21):
I had to sing with Daniel Boone was an.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
See the guy wore like the like raccoon on his head.
That you're getting closer, Huck Finn yo luck fit is? Yeah?
What was it?
Speaker 9 (12:35):
Are you?
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Arry?
Speaker 3 (12:36):
For you as Huckleberry, Do you really didn't know who
Daniel Boone was? You know who Daniel Boone is? No,
you don't, you don't. You don't even know who Dan
day Lewis is.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
And actually, if you're if you were curious that Daniel
Boone girls roll over volunteer on the pitch eight to
one over in Grayson, Tennessee.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
By the way, I like to pitch. Yeah, big, big,
big night of rugby over there.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Yeah, what a sport. So yeah, we got a good
sport here too, ard baseball and football got that. What
else you got? You talking about a rugby team? Yeah, well,
damn good here too, except they got upset in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Sucks.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
But but yeah, erra Getty took a no hitter into
the eighth inning last night.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Now you look at a guy like that, and he's
pitched well, and he pitched well against the Red Sox.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
He pitched well. Did he pitch in Baltimore? He's pitched
against I mean, I mean he's pitched really well against
good teams every every outing, he's.
Speaker 5 (13:24):
Seven innings six plus seven plus, he's been he's becoming
a an innings. I'm talking about complete chure he's killing
innings and getting people out and again double digit strikeouts.
Guy's proven that he belongs and he's tough.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
I like, yeah, let's let's go through his last five
outings because he's faced some let's yeah, five or six
out and he's faced some pretty damn good teams. We'll
talk about the Astros when they win ten to nothing.
They take on the Royals tonight back at Minute May Park.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Let's go over to Tom Tom good morning. Uh oh, tripley,
if you might help us out, I got a little
back connection on that end, Roger, what's happening.
Speaker 20 (19:55):
Good morning, gentlemen.
Speaker 16 (19:57):
Uh So, like I said, yes, sir, the matter's it's
gonna be hard to get this Arrogetty kid off the
top of that lineup. If you want to know what
a three a three game winning streak looks like, it's
gonna be some combination of Arroghetty Brown and Kakucci. Uh
just just just in my opinion alone, because it's gonna be.
(20:17):
These guys have been, uh well, since we've got Kakuci
has been a better picture. And like I said, you know,
all all the all the all the congratulations goes to
that pitching coaching staff. They guys are doing a phenomenal
job out there. Uh when you're at all with three bombs.
That's interesting because he was like struggling mightily. Uh before that,
I mean he was, he was hitting for average, He
(20:39):
just wouldn't hit for any pop and all of a sudden,
he just I really hope that continues. We're gonna need that,
especially tucker up the lineup. And I hear this stuff
about Tucker doing wind sprints and and this and that.
I just don't I'm not buying it. I'm not buying
it because it's the same reason because I haven't been
buying it because.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
I'm doing con cone drills, Roger cone drills.
Speaker 13 (21:04):
Yeah, you said a three game.
Speaker 3 (21:08):
You said.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
The only thing I know about that is I eat
cone bread. I can tell you that. Ye Hey, Roger,
you said a three game. You said a three game
win streak to go on like that? That that's those
are your three guys with going on a win streak
with Aarraghetty and Kokuchi and Hunter Brown.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Why not a fourth? What about fromber?
Speaker 21 (21:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (21:32):
Probert, Yeah, Robert, I'm sorry, got to be in there
to you. I just I just look. I just look
at the ice ass man, look at the stuff and
when they throw said movie, that stuff is moving crazy.
I just I just I just see it. I'm like,
especially with Lady, that's he's knowing some some some some
wicked stuff out there, man that won't stop moving. Same
(21:52):
thing with with Arraghetty. You know, he's making it look
like a clown show. That's the Phillies, man' I don't
you know, I don't want to take anyone thing with Verlander.
He's been great, he's been great for a long time.
Speaker 22 (22:04):
But at some point you're gonna have to sit him
down and say, hey, you know you're gonna big dogs.
Speaker 16 (22:08):
You're gonna have to be worth a fifth on this
rotation just because these guys are just throw you know, they're.
Speaker 22 (22:13):
They're they're throwing it, manu. But that that being said,
I just hope that we can stick with a lineup
that works. I know, as far as doing everything.
Speaker 16 (22:24):
You can to get some kind of fluidity throughout, through
up and down that lineup. But I just I just
really hope that Tucker comes back with and able to
get some at bats going so he don't go into
playoffs just being a uh hopefully not like a brain
type of a bat.
Speaker 23 (22:44):
You know.
Speaker 16 (22:45):
I know he's gonna be good in the outfield, you know,
but I just don't want him to be a stiff
out there. I just hope that he gets enough time
to get them at bats, to get to get it
to get his work going. And I just don't see
it happening. We're running out of time here, fellas, and
that really y all I had that have a good
a good week. I mean, I have a good day.
I'll call you, I'll bug you out tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Appreciate it. Roger, Roger, Roger Roger. Fluidity good word? Yeah, good, Really,
fluidity is a good word. Uh.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
So far in the month of August, you have Jordan
Alvarez hitting three eighty five on base of four eighty nine,
slugging of seven forty four.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
That is a one point two three three o p s.
Let's get to.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
One of the best hitters on the road in the
major leagues this year. Yeah, I know, he's the best
on the Astros. Those three home runs were big. Gamble,
Jordan Arraghetti set the tone yesterday. Yeah, Gamble needs to
play every day, every day, every day. Tucker, No, Tucker,
I'm with you. Move one to the other corner, meaning Gamble,
And let's go And now what chas McCormick sent down?
(23:49):
And if you're gonna sign Jason Hayward, Ben Gamble equal
Ben Foster the actor pretty good?
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Seven one three, five, seven is the number to join.
We're gonna continue to talk. I'm these Houston Astros how
to spend their getty feel about his outing. We'll talk
about it.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Next How you feel about your roof, Country Boys, roofing
country with the cave boys, with the z how you
feeling no jobs too large or too small nowhere in
the greater Houston area.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
They won't go for you.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
They're going to help you navigate those awful insurance claims
that nobody wants to deal with, and they're going to
be there for you at a time when people can
price gouge because the storms that hit you get the
opposite with them. One thousand, five hundred dollars off for
first responders, military, and educators. You tell me that since
this ad, since we started doing these for Country Boys Roofing,
and John and I got together about the message they're
(24:37):
trying to send. John the owner, I'll tell you what
it is. It's that they're not going to price gouge
and they're going to do quality work for you, whether
it's the pre storm to prepare your roof to get
it right or poststorm to make sure you're safe and secure.
One five hundred dollars off for military, for educators, and
for first responders. When we first started it, they were
one thousand dollars off when you mentioned my name. So
(24:58):
how about those discounts pretty damn good to get that
roof fixed and provide security for you when others could
price gouge you and not do the same work. Country
Boys Roofing Country with a K Boys with the Z.
Countryboys Roofing LLC dot Com. That's Countryboys ROOFINGLLC dot Com.

three two seven three one fifty six twenty.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
The Sewn Salisbury Show continued no hitter into the eighth
struck out eleven. Suctor Brad first, and we'll get to
Tom Brad. What's happening?
Speaker 10 (25:45):
Well, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (25:47):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Bratt?
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Were you ben? Dude?
Speaker 24 (25:50):
I've been everywhere, my guy, everywhere except for calling us man.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
It's fine about damn time.
Speaker 10 (25:58):
Well, I know Sean Tigers player Trojans this week.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
I know, I'm I've been asked about twenty times in
the last three days with who you like? Well, I
love USC, but I'm not betting that because this bothers me.
I don't know, I don't know if we can get
off the field defensively. We'll go find out just how
tough we are quickly on Sunday night.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (26:17):
Well, let's see what our defense holds up.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
I think both offenses will be able to move the ball, Brad,
you know, I think they can move the ball. The
question is can you get off the field right on defense?
Speaker 10 (26:28):
We'd say over under eight and fifty yards combined.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I'm taking the over.
Speaker 24 (26:36):
Hey one thing with the Astros I'm really annoyed about,
and I'm pretty sure Brian mightn't agree here.
Speaker 10 (26:42):
Why are we resting players?
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Oh? Me and s are on the same page about this.
We had four hours of that conversation yesterday.
Speaker 15 (26:49):
Brother.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
In the day before it was the same way.
Speaker 24 (26:51):
Yeah, no, But I just we're good, right man.
Speaker 10 (26:55):
We had this Gauntley going through.
Speaker 24 (26:58):
As long as we say the three and a half
four games ahead of Mariners, I think we'll be all right.
Speaker 10 (27:02):
But we can't. We can't lose three out.
Speaker 24 (27:04):
Of four, I tell you that much against the Royals,
so we got to at least split it.
Speaker 10 (27:07):
I'll go to three to one. My personal opinion but
I think Eric Getty is the man man.
Speaker 24 (27:12):
I think Danner Brown did a gret good job on
not trading Arengetty and trading the other ones out there.
So kudos at Dana Brown so far. When I called
the last time about the trade, I said, I didn't
care who we traded it when we got Kakuchi and
look good, look good tapping so far. So Dana Brown
deserves a lot of credit this year. I think he
deserves to be GM of the Year with all the
trades and then pickups he's done this year and looking
(27:34):
forward he does next. In the five six years with
Ashros Guy, Guy's always been a pleasure talking to you.
You have a plus day and go Tigers.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Get that and fight on Trojans. There you go.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
But Brad, I think Brad's right with all the flat
that front office people take. If they win this division
and go Dana Brown does because it's a raise in
it a regular season award. Dana Brown, considering the circumstances,
should be considered for Executive of the Year. He really should,
(28:05):
Like I said, in any city, it's like, well he
should have done this. Why do you go get this guy?
If they pull this off? And they do this thing
and they get and win this division after all this
and these moves, Kokuchi's moves looks fantastic. Ben Gamble, I
mean just little things like Gamble, who's come in here
and raked.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
That to me.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Has been a lot of good Dana Brown stuff. And
we'll see what Hayward brings to the table when all
is said and done. But for me, I bless you,
thank you. There's nothing that you can tell me about
Dana Brown right now that at least he hasn't come
in and done a great job from year one to
year two. He's made some tremendous decisions. Everybody makes decisions
(28:47):
you want back, but there's people and the fortitude to
stick with it when everybody's question why are you trading
these prospects? And Kakuchi has been although not gone deep
into games, they haven't lost the game he's pitched. Yeah,
it's five aren't the only moves He's done.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Some good things. I actually had right on with that.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
I got a pretty nice little list of the acquisitions
that Dana Browns may will go through that next segment,
it's good to Tommy.
Speaker 3 (29:09):
Before we get the break to tom what's going on?
What's going on?
Speaker 20 (29:13):
Ryan and Man?
Speaker 23 (29:15):
I want to start with a moment of silence with
Chad McCormick.
Speaker 20 (29:18):
I mean, this is the big league man.
Speaker 23 (29:20):
We got to move on. I wish him the best.
I hope he comes back. But Gamble, man, Gamble's the
new guy for me, next Beard and all.
Speaker 7 (29:28):
I can't wait to see.
Speaker 23 (29:29):
Him out there a little bit more.
Speaker 20 (29:31):
Keep breaking me. Hey, how about.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Jose in the first thing.
Speaker 23 (29:36):
Nothing like a night, extra day off to get you
to steal home plate. I'll take it. And you know, Arrogatty,
I think he's arrived. Guys, if he hasn't already, it's
a coming out party for him. You know, you could
look at the first attack against Schwarburns. He made him
look like a minor leaguer. He did, he did baffle him.
(29:56):
And when you see that, you know a guy can deal.
So I'd like to see uh, Jordan and Albert trial
hot over the next four games. At least man get
through this series with k C because these guys are
for real.
Speaker 20 (30:12):
So again, playoff baseball.
Speaker 23 (30:15):
It's here, man, Let's go astros.
Speaker 25 (30:18):
Baby.
Speaker 20 (30:19):
That's all I got for you guys.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
A great day you too, Tom, Thank you.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
I like it a lot with with what Tom's saying
about Arraghetty arriving.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
That guy.
Speaker 5 (30:30):
One thing he's not afraid to do is challenge you.
And he's done a hell of a job working on
his you know, on his stuff. And another double digit
day for him and no hitter into the eighth inning
against that team, Come on Nelson in their building.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
Yeah, pretty impressive, really good lineup, no doubt. Yeah, there's
no doubt about it for uh Spencer rag Getty. Let's
look at some of the acquisitions that Dana Brown has
made this year for the Astros, which has helped improve
the team. With Jason Hayward allegedly going to be added
to the team today, we'll talk about that now right
here on Sports Talk seven to ninety. Let's talk to
you about Kobe Stevens golf apparel. Like Kobe Stevens dot

This is a.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
For h down. This is this is sports Talk seven nights.
Speaker 14 (32:36):
Because right now you see it, leto's Houston right now?
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Back to Sean Salisbury or a couple of fire trucks
either way, right, yeah, that's a great idea. Let's do it.
Play them both, yeah, both of them. Double dip in
the parade thing. When's the last time three parades in
the same city. I think La City, La Dodgers, Lakers
(33:03):
and uh.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
Well I was all the Mickey Mouse stuff though, Bubble Championship,
Mickey Mouse World Series, and I want to say one
of the rams when they're when they're title.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
What are we on? Four years now? Was it? Was
it twenty twenty Has it.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
Been twenty twenty, twenty twenty one when they beat Cincinnati.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Twenty twenty two? Oh yeah, twenty twenty one season?
Speaker 12 (33:27):
Right?
Speaker 9 (33:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Yeah, m interesting. Are you ready to play the parade? Though?
Speaker 4 (33:32):
You win ten nothing playing the parade? Oh yeah, back on, boys,
it's back on.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Can you imagine if you were the one making the decisions?
You send memos out every day? Oh I love praid's off,
prais off, praise on.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Yeah, yeah, that would be fantastic.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
And do you realize if you have football till the
middle of February and hopefully Ashlew's baseball till what late
October or November? Is it early November? Still do we
still take it into the World Series? I mean in November?
I think early first week. Think about that. Here we
are Man in the eighties. Today's remain for the next
five days and alive. It's just it's fall. Let's do
(34:07):
this thing. I don't like labory. I don't want sun
during Labor Day.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
You know what I'm saying. Not gonna get it this weekend. Yeah,
I know that sucks. That does Suck's all right though
it sucks. I mean, Scotts, I will send you a note.
Can't wait?
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Uh actually, so let's see the uh yeah, Game seven,
if there is a Game seven, will be on Saturday,
November second. There you go this year, so it goes
into early November. Seven one, three, five, seven, Alex, Good.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Morning, morning, Jens.
Speaker 26 (34:34):
How's it going this morning?
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Terrible? What's up?
Speaker 20 (34:38):
I'll get ready to ask you, Brian.
Speaker 26 (34:39):
If the Praiders back on Man with a with a
win like.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
That last night, Praide's back on Eric Gatty's striking out
eleven and Jordan with three bombs, Ben gammele hitting the
almost dropped it to the s bomb.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
But yeah, back on planet, I've found good mate.
Speaker 26 (34:54):
Yeah, Jorda and Tyd, Jeff Bagwell for most three home
run games and aftro history life night. That's that's impressed
in and of itself to me. I think I think
they're gonna get together. I say, you know, Houston takes
the series from Kansas City three games to one that
this upcoming weekend and puts themself in position to at
(35:17):
least make a run down the stretch for second place
in the in the overall division. I think they might
be able to pull it out if they keep keep
their bat going like they did last night. And uh,
I completely agree with Daniel.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
Brown being.
Speaker 26 (35:33):
Executive of the Year. If they win the division and
pull out a World Series win out of this thing like,
it's gonna be a crazy season. Everybody's gonna look at
Houston a little bit differently for sure, more than they
already do.
Speaker 7 (35:48):
But that's pretty much all I got.
Speaker 26 (35:50):
Sean, I got one question.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
For you, and I'll ask you and get out of.
Speaker 26 (35:53):
Here with football season back, What do you miss more
playing in college or playing in the and why you'll
have a good one.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Thank you, Alex. Do you mind if I give a
stat real quick before you?
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Uh, no player has more three home run games since
twenty nineteen than Jordon Alvarez. Pretty impressive, man, since what
year twenty nineteen, five years ago?
Speaker 3 (36:20):
That is impressive? It is? And oh man, yeah, I
had another one here.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Spencer Araghedty, the Astro Spencer Araghetty taking a no hit
bid into the eighth inning. The Astros have recorded sixteen
no hit bids of at least seven innings since twenty nineteen,
which includes the playoffs. That is the most such no
hit bids over a six season span by any MLB
team over the past fifty years.
Speaker 5 (36:45):
I think the guy's on a pretty good pace, huh,
Jordan meaning you got the Jordan's stats, Astro stats. But
and the guy rakes on the road, Yeah, and that's it.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Well, what's I mean?
Speaker 5 (36:58):
It's got to be a tougher gig to obvious road. Yeah, yeah,
you'd think. And some are more comfortable, as we've discussed,
But that guy is locked in. And if that bat
starts to to heat up like it is, like it
did yesterday, and like it has been on the road
all year, and that carries through the rest of the
way home and away.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
That's as good. That's as good a player. That's judge.
Speaker 5 (37:19):
In your lineup, that's Soto, and in your lineup that's
jord On, that's uh Otani. He's in that he's in
that class where he can carry you all the way
through it.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
You want to hear is you want to hear his ate?
That's the season. Yeah, they're stupid. Hitting three sixty obp
four forty six, lugging a seven eleven. That is an
ops of one point one five eight. He has twenty
bombs on the road compared to eight.
Speaker 5 (37:44):
I don't I don't think anybody hits better in Major
League Baseball on the road than him. I think he's
the best in baseball, not just I mean obviously on
the ashle's been on in baseball.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
I don't. I don't think anybody's better. Fish numbers wise,
fifty one RBIs on the road, twenty at home.
Speaker 5 (37:58):
He he likes the way restaurants or something, because he's
raking every single time he gets in that on that
bus or on that team playing to go where he's going.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
He crushes it.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
His home splits batting average is two fifty nine on
base at three forty eight slugging a four h six.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
That's a seven to fifty four ops at home.
Speaker 5 (38:14):
I'd like to borrow some from the road as a
home guy and take some of that just to just
get a little you know, borrow it and borrow it
a little bit to raise the home numbers. Take a
little less on the road and put him together, and
then you got a monster season at both Crazy man,
it's nuts. His his his away ability to lock in
(38:35):
is sick.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
So let's see trying to think fangrafts in there. They
got so many different.
Speaker 5 (38:45):
While you're looking to answer your question about what I
miss more with football season, I mean, I'm in a
season in baseball that I absolutely love, and college hoops
will start soon. But for the for me, college or NFL,
I probably miss Saturdays more than Sundays. I loved Sundays obviously.
(39:07):
I love the competition and playing with your buddies and
memorable and ten years of it was awesome. But I
miss my mom and dad being at every college game,
and then they went to some NFL games too, and
it was close enough. To get to. But they went
to some road games and I was in college. It
was awesome, and I just loved the camaraderie. And back
when I was playing, it was a little more less
pro more pure, if that's a good word to use,
(39:30):
but it was. And I missed the pomp and circumstances Saturdays,
the tailgating, the fellas, the grind, the fact that you
round those same guys for five Nobody was going anywhere.
People weren't transferring for the most part unless they lost
out on a job. And it was the same guys
and I built some of the best friendships in both.
But the competition and when you played at SC you
(39:52):
walked into a building, you were everybody's big matchup at
that time went to Marcus Allen and on our team,
we were loaded, and so you walked in kind of
like the way Alabama feels today, and that we we
had guys that were those type of players and held
in that regard. I would I loved my NFL time,
but I would say I miss college football more on
the Saturdays and everything that goes with it.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Uh to excuse me, back up your point about ord
On hitting on the road. He is the best player
in baseball hitting on the road.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
The only one that's close to him average wise is
Luise Aures, and he's got he always up there. But
average wise, Luis Ares is five points higher. But when
you look at RBI's walks, doubles, singles, everything else, every
other category, it's Jordon Avarez.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
Yeah, it's just different. It is stupid.
Speaker 5 (40:44):
He's blowing away the field. So yeah, there you go. Yeah,
I mean I would what would you have said to you?
Thought I would say NFL or college. I figured you say,
we've had this discussion, no doubt, and my I've played
ten years NFL healthy, Yeah, but my two I wish
I would the two years. That's another thing comes back.
I wish I had go back and redo, blown out,
shredded knee twice. But I still miss the grind and
the road it took to get back and play again.
(41:07):
Take a lot of pride in that I miss college
more than NFL.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Yeah. Yeah, I figured I figured you'd say college.
Speaker 4 (41:12):
Let's get into seven o'clock hour, continue to talk about
these Houston astros. We've got some audio of Spencer Arraghetti
and Joe Spot and how they felt about that big
win last night over Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
That's next. Still time to sign up.
Speaker 5 (41:22):
I know it's getting a little late in the late
fees and all that, but you can sign up at

Speaker 2 (43:38):

Speaker 1 (43:41):
This is the Sean Salsbury show.
Speaker 5 (43:46):
Bring it home, baby, doesn't matter where right on the
road are. Are you a home, a closer or closer
on the road to both? So you're not You're more
You're more hater than Duban set up guy? Get you there,
maybe bray you who could be a close? How'd you
throw in Dubin in there?
Speaker 3 (44:03):
A middle reliever? Okay, I mean the middle you know guys, Yeah,
but not a closer. I'm a closer. I would be
a closer.
Speaker 5 (44:10):
They can get in there and give you a closer
roll one night when they're pitching a bunch of guys.
So what do you say you're a closer home man
the road? Correct splits are pretty cool?
Speaker 4 (44:18):
Yeah, probably about even okay, yeah, yeah, just making sure
it's Luisa Rise. By the way, what'd you call him? Luisa?
Luisa Rez Noboddy JB holding me accountable? Luisa Rise?
Speaker 5 (44:29):
You called him a rise? I mean a raise a raise. No, yeah,
I didn't hear what you called his last I knew
you were talking about.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
I mean, really, you didn't really call him anything you want,
just don't call him late for dinner. But I digress
from there. All a rise.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
I was gonna say, all right, Aaron Judge is gonna
hit like sixty bombs this year and then hit about
two hundred in the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (44:51):
But but are you bearing the lead? Are you burying
the lead? On Otani's what the base is? I mean,
the fifty fifty guy.
Speaker 4 (44:57):
I'd rather have a fifty to fifty guy than uh,
sixty five bombs in a postseason average of two hundred.
Speaker 5 (45:04):
Well, well, why the stray is it, Judge? Because the
this year's postseason.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
Yeah, the Ashers are gonna have to play him at
some point. I think he's had a decent season. It's
been okay, it's been all right.
Speaker 4 (45:18):
He should be the runaway winner for the MVP, even
though Bobby Woit Junior is really damn good and he's
gonna be here tonight.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
Yeah, but guess what's not happening. He's winning the mv
Wit winning the MVP this year, yeah, witwit, and in
any other year he'd be right there.
Speaker 5 (45:30):
He wasn't gonna be right there. The problem is Judge
is the MVP of the American League and really not.
Now you could take the argument and say, well, who
had the better roster to work around, You'd say Judge,
yeap and yet and Wit has just done it no
matter what.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
But he's gonna win one at some point. That's how
good he is. Meaning Bobby Witt. Oh yeah, he's really, really,
really good.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
Let's get back out to the phone line seven one three,
two two five seven ninety Glenn, good morning, thanks for rolling.
Speaker 21 (45:55):
Hey, Good morning, Sean, Brian kip Lee, Hey, talking about
the rest the baseball season. You know we talked earlier
when Astros weren't doing so well and how many wins
they needed to try to get to ninety and well
now you know, I'm thinking possibly around eighty seven will
do the trick.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
Well.
Speaker 21 (46:13):
In order for the Astros to get there, who have
twenty nine games left, they need to go sixteen and
thirteen the rest of the year to get the eighty
seven wins. The Mariners they have twenty eight games left,
they have to go nineteen and nine to get to
eighty seven wins. So if we can just and they
play the Rangers seven times, they still got a series
(46:36):
with the Yankees, they still got a series with San Diego,
so they're not actually playing a bunch of cupcakes either.
I know our Astros remaining scheduled really tough, but theirs
adn't need to easy either, So I just wanted.
Speaker 10 (46:49):
To put that perspective.
Speaker 21 (46:50):
I think eighty seven wins will win this division, and
we only need sixteen wins to get there, and like
I said, say, I don't need to get nineteen.
Speaker 5 (47:00):
It's a good point, Glenn. I think the Astros are
gonna end up going like eighteen and eleven. I think
they're going to get the ninety wins. Still, that would
to well, eighteen and eleven will get them to what
eighty nine wins?
Speaker 3 (47:12):
He said right now? Yeah, get to me if he
said sixteen gets them to eighty eighteen eighty nine wins.
That's why I said, yeah, So.
Speaker 5 (47:20):
I think they're going to get closer to ninety wins
than a couple of games.
Speaker 21 (47:24):
More.
Speaker 5 (47:25):
I don't think they're going sixteen thirteen. I think they're
good enough to win eighteen or nineteen of these games
and get push ninety and I do believe.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
I'm with him. I don't.
Speaker 5 (47:31):
Eighty seven doesn't feel like it's enough, but the way
this division's gone, it probably will be. But hey, let's
not discount the fact that while the Mariners, he said,
going nineteen and nine would be a difficult task, right,
yet we saw the Astros roll off a bunch of
them and give them self position. But we'll see if
(47:52):
the schedule they can do it. But you want to,
I think if you want to guarantee the division, get
to nine, get to eighty nine, ninety wins.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
And you're going to win the division.
Speaker 5 (47:58):
I think so, because I don't think they're going twenty
one and seven.
Speaker 3 (48:01):
I know sold.
Speaker 5 (48:03):
So it's gonna be fun to watch, but they're not
gonna They're not gonna blow away the division.
Speaker 4 (48:07):
It's gonna be close. Yeah, I think it will come
down to the stretch. Honestly, Brandon, good morning.
Speaker 18 (48:13):
Hey guys, one, what's going on? I agree with you
guys on the ninety wins. That's always like kind of
that magic number, always talking about to to get there. That's,
you know, nineteen, I'm kind of a sean eighteen and eleven.
The final twenty nine is very feasible for this ball club.
And I think, you know, the critical signing. I agree
with the Jason Hayward signing. And you know, it's tough
to see a guy like Chas McCormick. You get promoted
like that too after you know, a couple of years.
You know, the World Series catch and of course you know,
(48:35):
some big home runs in the playoffs and stuff like that.
You never like to see a guy, you know, kind
of lose his job or a starting spot, and you
never wish, you know, ill will on people. But you know,
this is a business, no doubt, it's pro sports. And
I think that if Hayward gives them anything in the
power category. And you know, y'all made a great point
of the day. You were talking about who would you
rather have up, you know, in a big kind of
pinch hit bat, you know, coming off the bench, whether
it be like a du Bon, a Hayward or maybe
(48:55):
a McCormick and things like that. And I'm like, you know,
Hayward be a great guy to come out if you
now starting in right fieldpinning they get Tucker back. I
agree with John in the day, it's a huge insurance
policy just in case Tucker doesn't make it back when
it comes down to that, but I think it's going
to be a great thing. The starters, to me have
to continue to do what rag Getty's doing and just
go deeper into ball games. I think you need more
from Kakuchi than five and five and a third five
(49:17):
and two thirds. I know that Bullpen's taxed even with
Narris coming into as well, because you just can't keep
running those guys out between Presley and Gray and Hater
and just any combination of that. So nine he's feasible.
I think two at the same time, but I know
Dana Brown and the team wants it is very bad,
so I'll hang up and listen. But definitely I think
eighteen and eleven Sehn is very feasible for this club.
Speaker 5 (49:37):
Yeah, I appreciate it, bron I do two even with them,
and they raised their game, and I know Philadelphia got
them a couple of times. They raised their game most
of the time when they play good teams, and so
a tougher schedule actually doesn't scare me. The way they're
playing really not. And he's exactly right about getting Kokuchi.
To me, the only thing Kokuchi hasn't done great is
(49:58):
go deep. But he's given you, like I said, you
keep winning with him on the mound.
Speaker 3 (50:03):
It's a good thing.
Speaker 5 (50:04):
They're gonna ask some decisions to make between the Kokuchi, Verlander,
Arraghetty Blanco thing come postseason. Right, you can probably remove
Justin Verlander and stick him in the starting area, but
you're going to really enhance a bullpen with somebody with
a Blanco or an Arragedtty depending or a Kakuchi if
(50:24):
that's where they got to go, right, Yeah, you really are,
And so he's right.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
I do believe.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
I think sixteen and thirteen to me is a more
low hanging fruit, even though schedule, and it was a
great point by our caller, yeah, by Brandon No, but
before him said who said sixteen thirty was playing right?
Speaker 3 (50:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (50:44):
So, but I think eighteen wins is more than feasible,
which would get you eighty nine and allow you that
would really put that's twenty one wins out of their
next twenty nine games or so for Seattle, and that
would be really hard to accomplish.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 4 (50:59):
Looking ahead, had Kansas City, Cincinnati Diamondbacks, Oakland, La Angels,
San Diego.
Speaker 3 (51:08):
Who's gonna be right there?
Speaker 4 (51:09):
In the hunt, then again with the Angels, then Seattle,
then Cleveland, though the last six games gonna be gonna
be pretty interesting, especially if Seattle's still right there trying
to vie.
Speaker 5 (51:19):
For Even if they're not right there, I mean, if
they're there, I mean, if they're with it the Seattle,
regardless where they are, they're gonna do everything they can
to beat I mean, even if they're five out, they're
gonna try to sweep your ass at least put pressure
on you the last few games. So this is a
hell of a hell of a schedule they have to
deal with, and I would not take the the a's
two light. They can find a way. I mean, that
(51:41):
team since the second half, they they've red Sox I
think are the best hitting to have been one of
the better hitting teams in the second half of the season.
But we saw there in that monthly and coming up
right out of the All Star Breaker going into how
I think, right out of it, how many runs and
how well the Athletics were hitting the baseball right m hm.
Speaker 3 (51:56):
I can't.
Speaker 5 (51:57):
I don't know the exact timeframe, but you know those guys,
when you decide to take a night off, they'll beat you,
and that would be a horrible way. Yeah, to close
allow the division to close in on you. Is not
winning teams like the Angels in the A's that you're
supposed to beat.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
Yeah, I would not be good. I would not be
good at all.
Speaker 4 (52:15):
All right, let's get to the steak out next right
here on the Shawn Salisbury Show.
Speaker 1 (52:19):

Speaker 12 (52:47):
Sean Salisbury Show.
Speaker 4 (53:07):
Time for the steak out here on the Sean Salisbury Show,
Sean Bryn and Tripoli Astros and Royals tonight seven ten,
the first pitch six o'clock on Deck show right here
on seven ninety. Get back out to the phone line
seven one three, seven ninety. I got quite a bit
of people that want to get in and talk about
these astros. To start with Wreck, what's up?
Speaker 2 (53:25):
Wreck?
Speaker 22 (53:26):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (53:27):
How you doing guys?
Speaker 3 (53:28):
We're awful man b we're here.
Speaker 27 (53:29):
You know, I love your I love your show. Uh
seean kind of touched on my question. You know you
have Hunter Brown, Spencer, Eric Getty. Now you have a
sample size of their work, Framber s Frambert, you have
Luis Garcia, you have Christian Hobber in rehab. Justin Berlander,
(53:52):
I think has a player option, a little bit of
crystal ball.
Speaker 10 (53:56):
How do you see this playing out in the future? Guys?
Speaker 3 (54:00):
Thank you?
Speaker 5 (54:00):
Rick, all right, go ahead and I'll tell you. Okay,
give me your starting five next year right now.
Speaker 4 (54:07):
So I brought this up. I don't want to keep
referencing my podcast, but our podcast. But the future is
bright for the pitching staff for the Astros because you're
gonna get indeed, I'm assuming you're gonna get innings from
Luis Garcia and Lance mccullor junior. You what they're gonna
do with Justin Verlander is gonna be interesting to me?
Speaker 3 (54:26):
Are they gonna you know.
Speaker 4 (54:26):
Because his option his vesting option, and he's not going
to hit the innings threshold. So essentially, what is he
gonna if? Are they gonna re sign him? Is he
gonna go somewhere else? So forth? And so on, so
let's take Verlander out of it. You got Fromber, you
got Hunter Brown, you got Spencer Raghetti, you got depending
on what they do with you, say, Kakuchi if they
want to try to sign him to a team friendly deal,
(54:47):
then you got Luis Garcia, Renel Blanco, and Lance mccullor's.
Speaker 3 (54:50):
So, are you telling me that Kakuchi and Verlander neither
one of them are going to be here? We'll take
I mean there's a chance, Okay, So what if they are, Oh, buddy,
that's a loaded rotation a year.
Speaker 5 (55:02):
I need five okay, five, okay, you tell me five.
That to five if they're not here. Five if they're
not here, Land gone, yep, Okay.
Speaker 3 (55:12):
So it's Fromber, it's Hunter Brown, it's Spencer Araghetty, it's
Renel Blanco, and it's Luis Garcia, Lance Periculors, junior odd
man out go to the bullpen bub or or six
man rotation.
Speaker 5 (55:29):
That luxury, the six man little rotation can come. May
have to come from Lance being a bullpen guy that
comes in and starts once in a while. Spot start.
So I was gonna say the same thing. You can
give me those five for me. It's a no brainer.
It's fromber Hunter Brown, Spencer, Araghetty, Garcia and Rene Blanco.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
Renel Blanco.
Speaker 4 (55:49):
Yeah, because you gotta think Araghetty's already pitching his ass off.
Renel Blanco, you can tell has labored through some of
his last starts. So this will be his first four
year with the team. Then he'll have his first full
off season, going into his first full spring training after
or after a full year of pitching.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
No, he'll only get better, now, do it? Now? Do
it with Cocucci here.
Speaker 5 (56:15):
If they signed Cokuchie back, he is a starter, absolutely.
I mean, you're paying him a lot of money because
somebody's gonna pay him. Left hand who's coming here and
done a good job. You're paying him. So that, in
my mind would bump Renel Blanco. I hate to say it,
but it would. And then if Verlander's here, Garcia may
be a bullpen guy.
Speaker 3 (56:34):
Yeah, and which is fine.
Speaker 5 (56:36):
Because coming off the injury, you're gonna limit pitch. You're
gonna you're gonna limit it anyway, and hell, he won't
be ready to win after spring training, Garcia.
Speaker 3 (56:45):
No, Garcia will be ready, that's right, that's right. Four spring.
Speaker 5 (56:49):
We're not sure if mccullors will be ready for spring
more than likely after correct.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
No, more than likely ready for spring.
Speaker 5 (56:54):
Yeah, and Hobby, well, there's another guy we left out.
How do we leave out Christian Hove here?
Speaker 4 (56:59):
Because as both of those guys are coming back from
Tommy John, they're not gonna be ready until late in
the season.
Speaker 5 (57:03):
Okay, So let's say mid July August. First, you know
what it's going to be.
Speaker 4 (57:08):
It's going to be exactly what we saw from Garcia
and mccaulchy.
Speaker 5 (57:11):
I guy thinking, I'm not if Kenny come back, he'd
be a spot starter, right, and they may even try
to move him if they got Tommy. They got Tommy John.
Lateness season, middle season. So the timing of it is
that you're exactly right, mccullors will be ready to go.
Of all the ones, he should be the most ready
to go spring trade correct. Then there's Garcia, who apparently
gonna be a matter of fact, he was the closest
(57:32):
to being ready this year, so his is going to
take time, but not ready this year because they had
a setback. Matter of fact, he may be healthier quicker
than the rest of them think, So it'll go Garcia.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
Then mccullors.
Speaker 5 (57:43):
Now with Keaty and Javier, there's as longer happened later,
it's post All Star break type thing unless there's a miracle.
But when they come back, then you have the what
are we gonna do with Christian Aavier, who's got there
ot stuff?
Speaker 4 (57:55):
If he's healthy, you're gonna have I mean when those
dudes come back. I mean, yeah, you got all the
fact that.
Speaker 5 (57:59):
We had dudes on the end. It's like you can't
even keep track of who's coming back when oh, JP Frantz, Yes,
it's a bullpen guy, or he's a he's a bullpen
spot starter for you, quite frankly, you're gonna have to
move somebody.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
Yeah, and then all two of them.
Speaker 4 (58:13):
Another guy you're gonna have to have to do something with,
whether you call him up for September, is Forest Whitley.
The dude is dominating in Triple A. Yeah, I haven't
given up a run in like twenty A.
Speaker 5 (58:23):
Pears say, this is the most optimistic I've felt about
Force Whiteley. Somebody had asked, you know, and I'm gonna
ask Dana Brown about him next week. Somebody had made
a call, what about Fort whit The way he is.
It's like a light switch has gone on. I haven't
watched him by he's seen a couple of clips of it,
but I've been reading some stuff about how how dominant
he's been.
Speaker 3 (58:42):
Yeah, he's I got to ask Dan Brown about him
next week. I mean he's hitting like he's sitting like
ninety eight ninety nine.
Speaker 5 (58:48):
No way he's a call up? Is it gotta be
who you think? I mean, don't you want to maximize?
Say let's go, it's time.
Speaker 4 (58:55):
The dude has literally not given up. I mean, I'll
double check, but I'm pretty sure over is like the
last nineteen or twenty outings, he hasn't given up for.
Speaker 5 (59:03):
The best he's ever pitched here in the major leagues.
When I say major leagues, on a major league team
in the minor leagues, he is dominating down.
Speaker 3 (59:11):
There, right.
Speaker 5 (59:11):
Going back to that pitching staff, dude, it's the Kakuchi
Verlander thing will be interesting.
Speaker 28 (59:17):
Hey, guys, we just had a caller in. His name
was Kevin. He said, don't forget about a JP France
as well.
Speaker 5 (59:22):
We just mentioned and JP France, who's been when you
needed him last year, was a grinder. And they're coming
in and doing phenomenal things, and he can start for you.
He's a versatile pitcher that can give you stuff everywhere.
So yeah, it's a pretty cool thing. And you're exactly
right Garcia. Remember when they thought that Garcia was going
to help them come August September, right, and he had
(59:44):
a setback. So I think he'll probably be the healthiest,
the fastest, followed by mccullors. And then it's the Javier
Orcatie thing post what eighty games in ninety games in
maybe one hundred games in where they're full and ready
to go, and then when they come back with this
starting rotation, they may have to work their way in
through the bullpen as well.
Speaker 3 (01:00:02):
Right, Yeah, it's which.
Speaker 5 (01:00:04):
Then means which one of these bullpen guys or two
are going to be moving because you're going to take
a starter. If Lance mccullors turns into a full time
bullpen guy, well there you go, right, will he is
the question?
Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
And how healthy will he be when he comes back?
Speaker 4 (01:00:17):
So let's see, the first three or four is a
no brainer. So last oh, yeah, it's a no brain. Yeah,
I think so. Last twenty eight days for Forrest Whitley,
eleven innings pitched, he's given up just two earned runs.
Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
And strike out real quick. With Kokuchi strike out the
walk ratio nineteen to zero.
Speaker 5 (01:00:39):
Don't you have to hope, don't you. I don't want
to say you're going to overpay, but in sports we
do that a lot. But if he keeps going like this,
considering what you gave up, Let's say you don't win
a World Series, but you get close, don't you have
to work to try and sign him, to validate three
prospects to bring him back so it doesn't just become
a rental.
Speaker 3 (01:00:57):
I would think so. I mean, at least make an
effort within reason to bring him back. Yeah, I would
think so.
Speaker 5 (01:01:03):
Yeah, and if he continues to pitch this, well, we
we've already said, I mean this first, this validated the trade.
But over the long term, I'm talking about, we can
get a few more years at him, three or four
more years.
Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
We'll see.
Speaker 5 (01:01:13):
But uh, dude, he's gonna command a lot of money
if this keeps up.
Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
You know this, right? Yeah? I think what the age
is gonna keep the money down.
Speaker 5 (01:01:20):
But I still think I think the age keeps the
years down and the money's gonna He's still gonna get
paid whatever that is. I think it'll be less years
more more money than maybe some people thought when he
first came here.
Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
Seven one, three, two, two, five, seven ninety John, John
and Rob will get to you guys next.
Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
Don't go anywhere.
Speaker 4 (01:01:36):
We'll continue to talk about the Houston Ashos and the
big one over the Phillies last night right here on
Sports Talk seven to eighty.
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
The Sean Salisbury Show continued, I.
Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
Mean, right off the bat, like you wake up, have
yourself with bloody Mary and let's go dog. Yeah, I
mean I like that. Sometimes you get the Georgia game,
and let's get Georgia right now.
Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
Let's go. That will be on an upset alert.
Speaker 4 (01:01:59):
And dude, there are tons of games tonight you ain't
lyon and Clemson Georgia eleven am.
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
That's what I said.
Speaker 5 (01:02:05):
I said, normally you don't get You'll get a Clemson
in Georgiana, you know, SEC in the middle of the
day or that night game, that prime time game.
Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (01:02:13):
Let's come out of the shoot and let's just drop
the number one team and a top twelve team right
down your throat. Let's see if Clemson and Club Nick
can handle Atlanta in their backyard, and that in the
Mercedes ben.
Speaker 4 (01:02:25):
Jeppens the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Hotlanta.
Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
Yeah, the at l.
Speaker 5 (01:02:30):
It's gonna be a there's gonna be a hell of
a fun watch man.
Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
You got Penn State in West Virginia.
Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
Also at eleven Illinois State, and iowall, that's gonna be
a good one.
Speaker 5 (01:02:38):
Take the under in that the TVs will be up
and running in a gar be ready to go dog.
Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
There you go, Indiana State. Perdue's Larry Bird's playing on
that one, is he? Yeah, the hick from French. Look,
there you go, he's playing quarterback. Oh good good? Are
not real mobile in the pocket? Accurate? He'll get it
out on time? Yeah, no doubt. Let's go back out
to the phone lines, doctor Rob stating to Rob.
Speaker 29 (01:03:01):
Hey, good morning guys.
Speaker 10 (01:03:03):
I'll try and keep it short for y'all.
Speaker 29 (01:03:06):
First of all, in regards to the starting rotation going
in the next year, I hate to say it, but
if I never hear the name Lynx the Colors.
Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Again, I won't feel bad about it.
Speaker 19 (01:03:16):
I've written that one off.
Speaker 29 (01:03:17):
It's been too long for too many, too many months,
I mean years. At this point, it feels like if
he comes out anything other than a bullpen guy, then
I'm just gonna be annoyed and possibly depressed about it.
But what I really wanted to call about was, I mean,
it is what it is, Fellas. But you know, as
far as Spencer aeric Getty goes Man, you know, I
(01:03:37):
was just looking at the Vegas odds because I'm wondering,
at what point do we start considering his name moving
up the ranks as far as Rookie of the Year votes,
the way that he's thrown, and you know, looking at
his stats, unfortunately they're still heavily skewed by when he
first came up, you know, his record only being seven
and eleven. But if he's able to squeeze out three,
(01:04:00):
possibly four more starts before the end of the year,
and you know, just looking at the last two teams
that he's faced, between Baltimore and Philly, two of two of,
if not the two most relentless lineups in baseball in
my opinion, and doing what he's done, if he can
go three and oh to four and oh and get
you seven seven innings with you know, seven plus k's,
(01:04:22):
I'm just wondering where does he finish in the Rookie
of the Year rankings, because right now, Colton Cawser is
the guy, and I'm happy Sam Houston alumni, so I
wouldn't be up.
Speaker 10 (01:04:31):
About seeing him win.
Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
Did he go to cy Ranch?
Speaker 13 (01:04:35):
Uh?
Speaker 27 (01:04:35):
Who?
Speaker 20 (01:04:36):
Arrogetty?
Speaker 4 (01:04:36):
No Calser, Yeah, sure about yeah, Yeah, Colton Cawser from
sy Ranch High School.
Speaker 3 (01:04:43):
Yeah, he's leading the way for the Orioles. He's he's phenomenal.
Speaker 21 (01:04:47):
He is.
Speaker 29 (01:04:48):
He is so super excited about that. I mean, Arraghetty,
you got him coming out of.
Speaker 3 (01:04:52):
A sin Sincle Ranch.
Speaker 29 (01:04:53):
Yeah, and Katie, So I mean, I'm excited either way,
but I just wanted to get y'all's take on where y'all.
I think he might start ending up if he can
squeeze out another three to four wins. If he's able
to get four wins by the time this year is done,
he'll finish with a five hundred record. But if he's
got a k's per nine over nine, which he currently does,
(01:05:13):
he's got to start getting some looks. And I think
it's time we give him a nickname as well. I
think spaghetti is too long. One of you guys mentioned
that the other day, as much sense as it makes,
but I like noodle, fellas, I just wanted to get
y'all's take on it.
Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
Rob like noodle better than spaghetti. You know what he
put on the back of his jersey.
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
I will never call him spaghetti, I'm sorry. And what
he put on his jerseys that's kind of weak, it's lame.
But his performance hasn't been weak, and I think he's
spot on. He goes and closes us out the way
he's been pitching, and with all these innings he's he's
gobbling up and strikeouts. He's not gonna win it, but
he's gonna be close. He'll he'll get votes. Yeah, he'll
get votes, but he's not gonna win it. No, he's not.
Speaker 5 (01:05:48):
But I can tell you this, he's been a blessing
for this franchise.
Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
Buddy, has he think you think? You think Katie's.
Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
Katie Proud with some of the people coming out of
that area.
Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
There's some good, good ball players that just come out
of the city in general. I mean, it's it's insane,
cy ranch Katie. I mean, you go on and on,
It's it's crazy. Go from Rob to John and we
got another John John.
Speaker 6 (01:06:10):
Good morning, Hey, good morning, guys, Hey, I agree with
everything you're saying about Eric Getty. You know, he's definitely
secured a.
Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
Spot in the in the playoffs, the starting spot.
Speaker 6 (01:06:21):
The other question I have though, is, uh, when don't
you think that Jordan would have twice the home runs
he has now if he had the Goldilocks balls that
Aaron Judge is getting. I was just I was just curious,
you know, because you know that those balls are juice.
Speaker 10 (01:06:38):
Was, Yeah, the Goldilocks balls.
Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
So John, check this out.
Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
So John, did you see by chance, like the the
gentleman that did all the research on the Goldilocks balls. Yeah,
So I got to interview him, Me and my co host,
uh me and Apollo Dez. We have a podcast for
Apoulo Houston, and we got to interview him, and uh,
there was no doubt that Major League Baseball sent juice
balls for Yankees games so Aaron Judge could hit more
(01:07:05):
home runs.
Speaker 30 (01:07:07):
And it was the game against the Astros that was,
you know, back in twenty twenty two years. You know,
that was that third game I think or something, and
that you know, they all of a sudden the juice
balls show up. And I tell you that is the
most tainted sports franchise.
Speaker 6 (01:07:19):
I think in sports, I just get so fed up
with what they get away with. But you know, all
of that is just bs. What you know, what Aaron
Judge is doing. I I you know, he's getting all
this help and it's just I don't know, just kind
of discussed me, but you know, but I just had
to chime.
Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
In, Well, you bet your asset there's Goldilocks balls flying
around for Aaron Judge. I mean, and I'm not trying
to take anything away from Aaron Judge. He's won hell
of a player, is probably gonna win the MVP, but
he also is getting a little help from Major League Baseball.
Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
In my opinion, Oh yeah, to me, it's it's very
tainted though.
Speaker 6 (01:07:51):
That's that's the thing, you know, And he is getting
a lot, he is getting help, and that's been proven
the last few years.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
It has been proven as well. Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:07:59):
There's no out that that he's benefiting from that. So
I don't know. It just it's really tainted for me.
I just don't buy it. And uh anyway, it's just
repulsive to me.
Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
Here to be.
Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
Honest, so appreciated John as always, thank you. Let's go
from one John to get this John, He's been waiting
for a while. John, what's going on?
Speaker 8 (01:08:17):
Hey guys, how are you all doing?
Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
We're terrible? What's going on?
Speaker 8 (01:08:20):
Oh no, it's a good show, always a good show.
You know, could have a cup and then just listen
to the show. We're going to slavery. Anyway, last night,
why would they boo to Jue Walker?
Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
I mean because he's awful, he's not a very good Yeah, yeah,
I was, I was gonna get I was going to
get to that. Sorry, sorry, jumped again.
Speaker 8 (01:08:43):
You know when we we were watching the game and
we just said, well, this is going to be a
football score, because I mean, the Bets woke up. You know,
it was just plumb run. They just ambushed them. And
you know, and I know everybody's talking about pitching, but
we want to know is what's going to happen with
(01:09:04):
the offense or is mister uh, mister bragmant coming back
or what are they going to do with that? Or
because they have to find a you know, a stud
third baseman. You know they're gonna have to find that
because you know, there's a lot of ball a lot
of balls are hits in that direction and he's a
man and we like him, you know. We we had
(01:09:26):
the pleasure of meeting one time. And he's a great guy,
you know. He he he plays for the he does
all he does for the team, you know, and he's
always there, you know. And it's going to be a
big loss if they decide not to bring him back.
Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
Appreciate the call, John, Yeah, it's gonna be interesting what
they're gonna do with Alex Bregman and Kyle Tucker. That's
coming pretty damn quick. I was got took going off
the dome last night, mm hmm in a ten to
nothing Gameer. No, it wasn't ten to nothing at the time.
But ye been hitting the dome.
Speaker 5 (01:10:03):
With a baseball or with another helmet, with another grown
man plenty of times, you did. Have I ever been
hitting the helmet?
Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
Yeah? Once or twice? You play thousand times? Yeah, you
play football. So they tell me, I thought you were
an actor, well, philanthropist, Those of us entrepreneur, those of
us in the industry deflect that after card down, I
need my SAG discount.
Speaker 5 (01:10:30):
I'm such it is. I'll walk in there and I'll
pull that out. Oh my bad, wrong card your NFL Bay.
I didn't even I am so sorry. I wasn't paying attention. Man,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. What's that? Oh no, it's not that, big, sir.
Both of them are still on the table.
Speaker 3 (01:10:49):
Oh they are.
Speaker 5 (01:10:50):
I'm just leaving there. I'm going to rearrange my wallet
in about a half hour. Let's go to break seven seven.
I will roll along.
Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
Let this celebration start. Wor Sean Salmsbury on Sports Talk
seven ninety.
Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
Dana Brown wasn't these acquisitions?
Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
Sean Victor Carrattini hitting two seventy three six bombs, Taylor Scott,
Josh Hater, Caleb Ort who was a waiver claim. He's
got a one point two six era. You say, Kakuchi
at the trade deadline. We know what he's done. Caleb
ferguson three point one era, Ben Gamble, he is Gamble
(01:11:34):
is unbelievable so far, Hector Nerris and now Jason Hayward.
Pretty good stuff from Dana Brown. I know all the talk,
and you know the money for Hater and Jose Bray
you getting run when he was still here, and so
forth and so on. But everybody I named has contributed
in a big way.
Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
For this well.
Speaker 5 (01:11:54):
And it's not just what they've contributed to here. It's
what they've had to navigate their way through, meaning Dana
Brown to make sure that they fit in and dealing
with all the naysayers along the way. Yeah, and who
to trust at a time when you were ten games out.
Dana Brown deserves a lot of credit for it.
Speaker 3 (01:12:10):
Done some really good things, especially in claims free agent signings.
Speaker 5 (01:12:14):
When all of a sudden, Regardless how critical any of
us have been early of any of this, both Dana
Brown and Joe Spot if they win the division deserve
to be to get votes for Executive and Manager of
the Year, and they will.
Speaker 3 (01:12:29):
I think there's no question.
Speaker 5 (01:12:31):
I just go back to what would we be saying
if the Dodgers or Phillies lost Nola and three other
starting pitchers, they'd be in a world hurt.
Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
What will we be.
Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
Saying if Bryce Harper wasn't playing the entire season, I mean,
miss seventy five games, their best player, right, what will
we be saying? I mean you start to go mean
the Dodgers. I mean, I know they lost Mookie Bets,
but they're loaded. But what if they lost Bets and
for their starting pitchers, the Padres would probably be in
first place.
Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
Yeah, Yeah, would would you know what I'm saying that
the app would be closed? Yeah? Would the Dodgers be
able to navigate through like the.
Speaker 5 (01:13:09):
Front right and the general manager of piecing the right
people together? He saw it with Luno for a long time.
I think James Click did an underrated job here. I
do and for the time he was here. And then
Dana Brown and is kicked in and has done a
really really nice job uh here in year two as well.
Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
And I don't think that regardless of you like some
of the decisions, you got to look at the overall
body of work. In the body of work, says Dana
Brown needs national kudos for this.
Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
And he was able to get through the trade deadline
keeping the top prospects that he wanted to keep. The
Zenzo Shay wickhamb Melton, Bryce Matthews, those all those guys
are still in the organization.
Speaker 5 (01:13:53):
If low Perfido would have been a boring non energy guy,
performance alone would have said, Nope, you wouldn't heard one
person bitch and complain about the tree, right.
Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
No, But and I hope they all three go and
do great things.
Speaker 5 (01:14:04):
That was the right move, regardless of how many people
question it, and it's paid off.
Speaker 3 (01:14:08):
They've won five. With Kokuchi pitching.
Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
Five outings for Couch, they have won all all five.
It's right's talk to Darryl real quick or get to
the top of the hour.
Speaker 20 (01:14:17):
Daryl, good morning, Good morning, gentlemen. Before I start, Hey,
Triple E.
Speaker 3 (01:14:22):
You there, he's here.
Speaker 20 (01:14:24):
Hey, TRIPLEY. Well, guys, you guys know me as Daryl,
but I'll see you need to know I'm actually Triple
D and I haven't told you all before, So Triple E,
I'm Triple D right behind you, buddy, Triple.
Speaker 11 (01:14:36):
D, Triple D.
Speaker 3 (01:14:38):
I mean who does who doesn't?
Speaker 5 (01:14:39):
Who doesn't like a triple D?
Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
You know what I'm saying? Dog? You feel me? Darryl?
Speaker 20 (01:14:47):
Oh, yeah, for sure, you know it.
Speaker 3 (01:14:50):
I mean what if you're what if you what if
you what if you were C C C? Would you
be triple triple c's or full c's probably Hey, Darryl
do his favorite turn your radio down to the background
for us, please, And if it was Bees, you could
be well small bees. Right, what's up, Triple D? What
(01:15:14):
you got on your mind?
Speaker 20 (01:15:16):
Well, you guys might know this event that's going to
be taking place during the A and M and Notre
Dame game that Dennis is putting on. There's going to
be a huge tent set up. Dennis is putting it on,
and it's gonna be a lot of stuff going on,
big party. I think it's like four hundred and fifty
dollars a ticket to get in.
Speaker 3 (01:15:36):
Is to what's this too? What is this for?
Speaker 20 (01:15:40):
It's for some event that's going on, and I don't
know what it's called, but my brother's girlfriend is the
one that's the event planner for it. I'd have to
find the details. I didn't think about looking for the
details of what it's called. She told me a couple
of weeks ago. But it's some events are putting on
right there at the game, and it's Guinness is putting
(01:16:01):
it on, and it's going to be a huge tent
set up. People come in, you know, have a party
and stuff. And I heard that Joe Montana is supposed
to be there.
Speaker 5 (01:16:09):
Oh, it'll be at Collie in College Station, a great
place first off Northgate and the rest of that place
is going to be rocking and the fighting I don't
remember the last time that the Fighting Irish ever gone
to Kyle Field don't think so. And I would imagine
Joe Montana going to be there for that big game.
That's that's his alma mater as well. So really cool
and I can't wait. I cannot wait to see it.
(01:16:29):
It's going to be a blast to watch.
Speaker 20 (01:16:32):
Yeah, it's going to be cool totally. I mean, my
brother told me like a month ago. He goes, yeah,
Guinness is putting it. You know, Rachel's doing this big
event at A and M. I'm like, okay, what's up,
because I guess who's going to be there. I'm like,
I don't know. He said, I'll give you a hit.
Guinness is putting it on. I'm like, no way, Joe Montana,
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
Yes, right, yeah he could.
Speaker 5 (01:16:54):
He endorses him, so you know that's we put money
in his pockets, Like, Joe, all this endorsement money we're
paying you could show up at the text A and
M Notre Dame game. We're having a Guinness party. Oh
I'll be there. Yeah, that's a good thing. It's good
to be Joe Montana there.
Speaker 20 (01:17:07):
You go look out for it.
Speaker 8 (01:17:09):
You know.
Speaker 20 (01:17:10):
If he doesn't show up, well bummer. But that's what's
supposed is probably supposed to happen. I mean, you know
how that goes. It may or may not, but that's
pretty cool stuff.
Speaker 15 (01:17:18):
Man.
Speaker 20 (01:17:18):
If he comes, it'd be great to meet him. You know,
he's been my my favorite sports for my life, you know,
and I have not had a chance to meet him yet.
I've had a couple of chances actually, but just didn't
get around to it.
Speaker 5 (01:17:31):
Just go up and tell him if you see him
there to scope and say, what do you think about
my triple ds?
Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
Because I'm triple d See how that's see how that flies?
Speaker 7 (01:17:40):
Well?
Speaker 20 (01:17:41):
I want him to I want him to meet my daughter,
actually my daughter.
Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
No, yeah, how old your daughter?
Speaker 5 (01:17:49):
Oh yeah, that'd be that'd be a fun meet for
your daughter, as far as just a autograph signing thing.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Right there you go. Is she a Notre Dame fan
of Joe Montana fan because her dad.
Speaker 20 (01:17:57):
Is no, but my since next to me he's a
forty nine er fan.
Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
Oh there, you called your son twenty one? There you go.
Are they all Notre Dame fans though? Or no?
Speaker 20 (01:18:11):
Yeah, forty fans not to college you know, college fans.
Speaker 5 (01:18:16):
But let's hope that, you know, maybe she does get
a chance to meet Joe and you do too.
Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
If that happens, that'd be great. What do you guys
got going on this morning? At an am cruising around?
We're going to work what we do?
Speaker 20 (01:18:27):
Yeah, I'm flying am. I driving my son to antercottin
the airport. He's flying to meet some friends up in Kentucky.
Speaker 3 (01:18:33):
Nice look, Darrel's got herself a busy weekend. Ye, what's happening.
Speaker 5 (01:18:41):
Enjoy Kentucky this weekend? Great stuff. Good to talk to
you man. Enjoy your trip? Safe, great stuff. Right, So
a big party at the A and M will be
a be a tailgate and you might just want to
show up for the tailgate.
Speaker 4 (01:18:54):
It's football time and the nay.
Speaker 3 (01:18:59):
Yeah, I hope his son's like twenty one. Oh we're
talking about trouble.
Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
Triple?
Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
What does that mean? Dad?
Speaker 5 (01:19:07):
No, If he's flying to Kentucky by his own to
be with buddies, I don't have to explain anything, then
probably not there you go.
Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
Probably not good call, Thanks, Cayl. You ready to talk
some college football?
Speaker 5 (01:19:17):
You know we're not getting into the betting thing where
gay we're gonna pick you don't but you don't want to.
You don't want to match up this year you don't
want to take that asshole, But again, do you I
mean we don't have to keep trapped just weekly without
keeping do you mean like everybody does that. I'm going
to give you a trophy, dude, or we can well,
let's get let's everybody get one.
Speaker 3 (01:19:37):
Yeah. Do we want to do sportsmanship? Yeah? Wearing polos
and slacks in here every day and what are we doing?
Or we can talk Texans. Actually, you know, let's talk Texans.
Weren't talk college football the nine o'clock hour. Let's do that.
Speaker 1 (01:19:47):
Next hoston Houston, I heard radio station Sports Talk seven
ninety and the Rockets your whole for your home teams,
driven by the classic elite Fewick GMC Studios for the
elite car buying experience.
Speaker 3 (01:20:11):

Speaker 1 (01:20:16):
Okay, let's do this. Sewn Salisbury.
Speaker 19 (01:20:20):
There to usc Tropes, longtime friend, Shawn Salisbury.
Speaker 1 (01:20:23):

Speaker 4 (01:20:31):

two point two, five seven nine. Before we get into
that football talk, Let's take one more call in these astros.
Speaker 3 (01:20:38):
Ronnie, good morning, Good morning, guys.
Speaker 15 (01:20:41):
I had a couple of interesting questions.
Speaker 31 (01:20:43):
Well, I hadn't heard that they actually officially signed Heyward.
So who's going off the roster.
Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Well, Chas McCormick. Chas McCormick was sent down.
Speaker 15 (01:20:52):
Oh was he last night? Buddy? Okay, so they put
him in the game and then send him back down.
That's pretty good.
Speaker 5 (01:20:58):
Yeah, get a home run and go back to Triple
A feeling good about it.
Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
Right.
Speaker 31 (01:21:04):
The question is, Sean you love these what if questions
are either or? So I got one for you Berlander
and Kokuchi or Bregman and Tucker.
Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Second one second one not even close. Yeah, I mean,
I understand pitch pitching does it, But at this stage
a guy is an early to mid thirties a guy
who's in his forties now. Both have had dynamic, dynamic stuff.
Verlanders had a precise dynamic career. But at this stage
of the game that if they said you can sign
(01:21:39):
those two or those two and they're going in, we're
doing it. It's a package deal, two for two. It's
not even close.
Speaker 5 (01:21:44):
With with guys coming off injury pitching staff next year,
with the way Aarraghetty's risen with blancos emergence, with the
way Hunter Brown's becoming Ace and Fromber still in his twenties,
is taking over that role. I actually don't think it's close.
If you said, who do you want of those four,
name the two, give me Bregman and Tucker and no offense,
(01:22:05):
but they but Verlander and Kakuchi would have to go.
Speaker 3 (01:22:08):
If it was if it was one or the other.
Speaker 31 (01:22:11):
I'm not even sure I keep Verlander at all. Even
let's say he wins a game in the playoffs. Maybe
they get to the World Series and he wins a
game in the World Series. I like Verlander, what he
did and what he's done, but I just you know,
if it's about money and over years and combine whatever,
I just you know, if he wants to go somewhere else, fine,
(01:22:31):
maybe Crane can hire him as a special consultant or
whatever and pay the money. I don't think it's all
about money with Orlander. I still think he believes he
can compete and reach some career milestones.
Speaker 5 (01:22:44):
But there's no doubt Ronnie I had three hundred wins
matters him. I think he'd like to win a World
Series or two more, obviously, but three hundred wins matters
because he may be the very last guy to get there.
Speaker 31 (01:22:53):
And let's say the Dodgers maybe make the playoffs but
don't go far. When do the I mean, you know,
with the Yamamoto and Otani and different other guys they've signed,
how disappointed will they be if they don't get where
they want to go? When will they have to start
tearing that whole thing down?
Speaker 5 (01:23:13):
Ronnie, I believe, and I know people hate when if
you get to the World Series and don't win, it,
is it a failure of a season. I think the
Dodgers have invested so much and put a lot of
patients with their manager and I and the money they've
gone and spent just on whether it's free agents or
they're always good at scout and bringing minor leaguers in.
(01:23:34):
But you know, the bets their roster and freeman. At
some point you're going to have to but I think
it would start sooner than later. I think it's a
failure of a season if the Dodgers aren't the World's
Series champs. That's harsh because I don't really Hey, you think,
well man success, There'll be individual successes along the way
record all those things and what Otani's doing, but as
the sum of it. This wasn't just to get to
(01:23:58):
the World Series. If they find a way not to
win it, I think you consider it a failure. And
you're gonna have to look at Dave Roberts and and
we say it every year with Dave Roberts, we just
do they are loaded.
Speaker 3 (01:24:08):
I don't I think it's World Series or bust.
Speaker 5 (01:24:10):
I don't know if they'll tear it apart, but you
would have to make some changes somewhere because you didn't
invest all that year after year after year to come
up short. And they invested a ton more this year.
To me, and it's I don't usually say this it's
World Series or bust for the Dodgers. They don't make it.
I think criticism galore. Even if they just get there,
getting there's not enough finishing seconds, not enough for the
Dodgers at least, it shouldn't be.
Speaker 23 (01:24:34):
That.
Speaker 31 (01:24:34):
That's great and I would love to see him have
to tear it apart a little bit.
Speaker 5 (01:24:38):
It's coming, maybe sooner than later if they don't win
it all this year, that's for sure.
Speaker 15 (01:24:43):
Yeah, okay, guys. Thanks. You guys aren't going to be
on Labor Day or not.
Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
We'll be on tomorrow but not Monday.
Speaker 15 (01:24:49):
Okay, well great, thanks buddy, We'll talk to you later on.
Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
Okay, buddy, thank you to me.
Speaker 5 (01:24:55):
I rarely say that, you know, Brian, because I know
you can take successes from teams.
Speaker 32 (01:24:59):
All.
Speaker 5 (01:25:00):
Hey, you look at the Dodger and you say, well, look
at the year this guy had, and look at what
we overcame here and look at the year this guy had.
All that's fine and dandy. You didn't do this isn't doing.
Your goal is not.
Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
To win a playoff game with that roster. It can't be.
That's a World player series. That agreed.
Speaker 5 (01:25:14):
And I don't normally say when you've had when you
make the playff was a failure of a season for
them not winning at all, it is you've come up short.
If the Royals get to the World Series and lose it,
it's a hell of a successful season. If the Dodgers,
If the Astros make it now with the caveat this
year is the fact that they've been so beat up.
(01:25:36):
That's why it would be pretty damn epic if they
were able to do it. But the Dodgers Yankees the
same way. Although the Yankees haven't seen success when it
comes to World Series in a long time. But then again,
if it wasn't for the shortened season, the Dodgers hadn't
seen it since nineteen eighty eight. So yeah, to me,
it's a no brand And I don't know how the
(01:25:56):
hall at Dave Roberts is a good manager with that talent,
you should coach them to ninety five wins with the
blink of.
Speaker 3 (01:26:01):
An eye, manage them.
Speaker 4 (01:26:03):
If they don't win the World Series, it's a failure
of a season and Dave Roberts should be fired.
Speaker 3 (01:26:08):
I just there's no way that he can.
Speaker 5 (01:26:10):
I don't know how you can continue to validate the
Dodgers just getting there and not winning it. Yeah, no
offense to them, I mean the rings, the ring, but
the twenty twenty shortened season. I still feel like the
Dodgers haven't won a World Series since nineteen eighty eight.
Not that it will take that away, I know, but
there's there's always going to be that little asterix by it.
Speaker 3 (01:26:28):
Yes, because it was shorts. Yeah, if in sixty games,
if we'd have been played sixty games this year, the
Astros would have been near last place in their division.
Speaker 5 (01:26:37):
So see how that works. And look what happens with
the other one hundred and twenty two you play right
or what say no? The other one hundred and two
and two hundred and two yeah two yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:26:47):
Shortened season sixty games pretty much besides that has been
the eighties and then with the the Yankees have been
two thousand and nine.
Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
Last time it has been a.
Speaker 5 (01:26:54):
Bigger underachiever since that that that time period eighty eight
to ninety five, that's seven who's been a bigger under
achiever The Dodgers of the Cowboys. Ooh, Cowboys, we's come
up short more often. Dodgers are Cowboys in that time.
You can't put the Yankees in there because they want
a bunch of World Series.
Speaker 3 (01:27:12):
In the mid nineties. It's got to be the Cowboys, right, Yes,
I guess.
Speaker 5 (01:27:18):
I mean they didn't get the luxury of a shortened
season ago, like play eight games and win it with
Super Bowl. But I'm not taking away from the that
I grew up a Dodger guy too, because it was California.
But I can tell you that that's a hell of
a pole question. I wonder who'd win that one?
Speaker 3 (01:27:29):
Got to be the Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (01:27:30):
I would think in Texas state, people that don't like
the Cowboys would crush that one. But there's a lot
that don't like the Dodgers because they feel like they
spend a lot of money to come up short.
Speaker 3 (01:27:40):
That's a really good question.
Speaker 4 (01:27:43):
I know two of the big who were two of
the biggest underachieving franchises.
Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
Since since the late eighties to mid nineties, since for
post nineties, post mid nineties, Yeah, one eighty eight the
other with the with all the money they spent and
who they are, nobody more disappointing in those two sports.
Speaker 3 (01:28:06):
When when did the Cowboys win their last Super Bowl
or to mid nineties?
Speaker 5 (01:28:12):
Ninety three, ninety four, ninety five, somewhere in there so
and the Dodgers last one not counting the shortened season
was nineteen eighty eight when Gibson hit that home runoff
eckers Lee and they went on to win a World Series.
Speaker 4 (01:28:24):
Uh so it says Cowboys won it in ninety six, Okay,
ninety five season, Yeah, ninety five seasons?
Speaker 3 (01:28:29):
There you go. Yeah, who was in ninety five? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:28:32):
Actually ninety five they defeated the Steelers twenty seven to seventeen.
So since that point, Yeah, who's who's been more? They
haven't been to one No, Dodgers at least been they
have not been to one. Yeah, Dodgers at least got
there right twenty seventeen, they have not been to one.
Speaker 5 (01:28:46):
So Scott, be a matter of fact, I'm going to
tell you this, I don't think they've played in an
NFC championship.
Speaker 11 (01:28:50):
Game since they haven't the first to sick to Brown.
Speaker 5 (01:28:53):
Yep, you do the math and make an argument for
both and in which one you dislike more? Who do
you not like more?
Speaker 3 (01:29:03):
All right?
Speaker 4 (01:29:03):

I'll get that also, I have I think, UH, excuse me,
I got postseason results for the Dodgers and the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
Uh pulled ups.
Speaker 4 (01:31:36):
I know we got a couple of comments on that
as well. And who's a more underachieving UH franchise? So
talking on that topic, let's go out to UH. Let's
go to John first, and let me let me guess John,
you on a job site, even though it's raining outside.
You just cougar Paul's are up on the roof. You

You seeing rain there?
Speaker 35 (01:32:01):
But I ain't got no rain out here.
Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
I got one hundred percent chance of rain this morning
was raining up in the woods when I was on
my drive in.
Speaker 3 (01:32:07):
Dude, that's the woodlands, okay.
Speaker 4 (01:32:10):
And what's the difference between that and where you are?
Oh you're down south? Where are you you? Katula?
Speaker 3 (01:32:14):
You out there on the oil.
Speaker 7 (01:32:15):
Well, no, I'm not hearing ros right now.

Speaker 20 (01:32:47):
Underachievers man.
Speaker 35 (01:32:48):
You know they got to be the cowboys, you know,
And it's because that's all we hear year round.
Speaker 22 (01:32:54):
You know.
Speaker 35 (01:32:55):
We don't hear about the Dodgers. You don't hear about
the Yankees year around, the off seasons, all season. Jerry
being the market genius that he.
Speaker 10 (01:33:03):
Is skeletor.
Speaker 35 (01:33:07):
You talk about him because that's what he I mean,
it's just like the CD LAMB thing.
Speaker 9 (01:33:12):
He knew what he was doing.
Speaker 20 (01:33:16):
Jerry knew his CD wasn't going nowhere.
Speaker 35 (01:33:18):
Jerry was doing that all for publicity, so everybody would
talk about them during the off year, early during the season,
and he accomplished it. I mean, he accomplished He's a
marketing genius. You talk everybody talked about the Cowboys because
it's the brand and they're the biggest underachievers. I feel
(01:33:43):
because you know Jennifer Lopez, as we all know, he's
had more rings in the in the since ninety four
than the Cowboys have.
Speaker 3 (01:33:53):
You know, you know with that, she's had more rings
than most franchises.
Speaker 20 (01:34:00):
You say it on there because you should cut me off.
Speaker 7 (01:34:03):
But you gotta do that tick tag thing there.
Speaker 20 (01:34:07):
Heard about that tick tak thang, have you Brown?
Speaker 3 (01:34:10):
I'm not fall for it.
Speaker 20 (01:34:13):
No, no tick tech. That's why your mama's.
Speaker 3 (01:34:17):
Exactly what is wrong with y'all? Have no idea? Too
much time on I say, have no idea. I don't know.
Let's go to Montana. Talked to Ray morning.
Speaker 7 (01:34:29):
Ray, Hey, good morning guys all. Right. First off, I
wasn't gonna bring this up that y'all did zz top
type in Groves, Texas and zz top to what pops
up and Google?
Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
Second, somebody also from Pasadena and League City? Is that correct?
I'm trying to They're wrong. Okay, they're wrong.
Speaker 7 (01:34:49):
Okay, I'm telling I'm from fortin, Ah and they are wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:34:53):
Where Gros tex Gross like your O S S G O.
Speaker 7 (01:34:58):
I'm sorry, g O V E S and what pops up?
Speaker 3 (01:35:03):
Groves Texas? Gotcha? Okay?
Speaker 22 (01:35:06):
All right?
Speaker 7 (01:35:06):
Second, what do y'all think about putting Erlander in the bullpen?
Because this stuff is used up? M if you would
go for it and started man that Dodger World series.
They just gave them that as a consolation because they're
tired of them crying all the time about the scandal. M.
Speaker 3 (01:35:30):
Thank you, right. Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:35:31):
And to back up his point, zz top they formed
in nineteen sixty nine and Groves, Texas.
Speaker 3 (01:35:40):
Where's Groves up?
Speaker 4 (01:35:41):
No clue, let's find that out. Uh yeah, so porting Age.
So that's over like on the east side of the state, Groves, Texas.
I've never heard of Groves, Texas until this morning. And
I'm not putting justin Ferland's bullpen.
Speaker 28 (01:35:54):
Hey guys, side note, Marvin, he called in and said
that the zz Top menmbers were from Spring Branch.
Speaker 3 (01:36:02):
So we got Spring Branch.
Speaker 5 (01:36:05):
We got within a fifteen mile radio. So did apparently
the guy, our guy uh Ray who just called Montana.
I have no idea where they're from, but like when
somebody asked me where shot from? I mean, I've got
zz Top, but it's like, oh, he's from uh a, Fromasco.
Oh he's from LA I mean from Orange County, Yeah, exactly.
(01:36:29):
So we talked about where they were born, where they
I mean, where they went to high school. I don't
know the answer, but we've got three different locations. We
need a GPS system Siri.
Speaker 28 (01:36:39):
Marvin said that he actually he knows. He was naming
the streets they drove down and every they used to
have cars.
Speaker 3 (01:36:44):
I'm not question in, Marvin. I don't know who's right.
Speaker 5 (01:36:46):
I got somebody on Twitter who told me Pasadena in
League City.
Speaker 3 (01:36:50):
We got, we got.
Speaker 5 (01:36:52):
I mean, pretty soon somebody's going to give us the
exact address to the crib.
Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
So what okay? You little wompy John right now looks like.
Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
Dusty Hill, the bass player from zz top is actually
from DFW.
Speaker 3 (01:37:10):
So there's four locations I don't know. Says he was
playing at Woodrow Wilson High School.
Speaker 5 (01:37:16):
That's in Dallas, right, Uh huh, well there's four.
Speaker 3 (01:37:22):
I need a direct ping towards easy tops from Wow.
I'm so confused, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:37:29):
But then it also says this is from a news
outlet in Beaumont, saying that a yearbook shows that zz
top played at the French High School prom in nineteen seventy.
Speaker 3 (01:37:42):
You know what, zz top is ubiquitous all over the place.
Good word?
Speaker 4 (01:37:48):
Huh So Little Cyprus LCM, Little Cypress Morrisville prom back
in nineteen seventy.
Speaker 3 (01:37:56):
That's over in the Beaumont area. I don't know, man.

But he uh, well, you keep you keep Brian, You
keep saying where is e z Top from? That means
you're talking about all three of them. His name is Billy,
not Czy Top.
Speaker 3 (01:41:38):
Yeah, Billy Gibbons. And he's talking about there. He's talking
about the groove, the group like weren't they originally?
Speaker 7 (01:41:43):
Alright, right, but you can't.

Speaker 35 (01:41:55):
Rainbow Bar?
Speaker 9 (01:41:56):
No, that's that's in Frisco. But not here at Easton Baby.
Here here here in Texas, we don't have the kind
of bar.
Speaker 3 (01:42:02):
Well, Frisco is Frisco was in Texas.

Speaker 3 (01:42:27):
Oh no, no, no, Billy.
Speaker 5 (01:42:31):
Some our callers at Olliver. We're getting all this different
information about where they live. And it sounds like that
that one concert that everybody went to, but they didn't
go to you know, like eight hundred million people met
zz Top when only eight met him.
Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
No, I'm kidding.
Speaker 9 (01:42:45):
Now, the weird thing is Frank Beard. He's the only
one without a beard. Uh, Dusty Hill's got a beard.
Speaker 15 (01:42:53):
Ez.
Speaker 3 (01:42:54):
Yeah, see Gil, his name is Billy Kibbins.
Speaker 9 (01:42:58):
Yeah, but yeah, we he always carries a pair of
dice in his pockety though shooting dice. He drinks Oh yeah, okay, hamburgers.
Speaker 5 (01:43:08):
There, So he basically could go in there, eat a
hamburger and a beer and say, are those dice in
my pocket?
Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
Or am I just happy to see everybody? Is that
what you're saying?
Speaker 16 (01:43:18):
Anyway?
Speaker 9 (01:43:20):
Yeah, he's got a house memorial. I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 3 (01:43:22):
I like it. Thank you, appreciate it, Gil, Thank you,
good to have you memorial. Yeah, okay, was easy to
I'll get you. Step in your game. Up, it's it's
it's Billy Gibbons. Okay, get it right? Yeah? I met
zz the group, right, Yes exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:43:37):
It's like when somebody a buddy of mine years ago,
I told you this, They said, hey, man, you know,
think about led Zeppelin. He goes, I never, I don't
know anything about him, meaning he thought the group led
Zeppelin was one more person. Yeah that his name was
led Zeppelin. His name is led Sweet. What's up, Brad?
Speaker 36 (01:43:51):
I don't know for a fact, but I lived over
there about thirty years ago for five years, and I'm
almost positive because I heard it all the time.
Speaker 8 (01:44:01):
They had a.
Speaker 36 (01:44:02):
Home will Crest Upland area. So if you go, like
I ten the exit will Crest right there on the
north side, that little slot of land back there. They've
done a lot of work and made all the apartments
condos and homes.
Speaker 3 (01:44:22):
They've made them into million dollar homes and stuff.
Speaker 11 (01:44:25):
But that's where they had a home.
Speaker 5 (01:44:27):
I'm gonna tell you what it feels like. We're talking
about zz Top. It's where's Waldo. I mean, they're everywhere,
and we got them here, we got them there.
Speaker 3 (01:44:35):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (01:44:35):
Brad, good stuff, Brad, thank you. Let's talk to Cowboy Daryl.
Cowboy Daryl, let's hear it from you.
Speaker 6 (01:44:42):
Man.
Speaker 4 (01:44:42):
Are the Cowboys the most underachieving franchise when you compare
them in the Dodgers?
Speaker 36 (01:44:47):
Man?
Speaker 34 (01:44:47):
Yeah, I hate to meet it, man, because the Dodgers
at won one. They won one, and and you know,
I mean I like the Dodgers too, but I mean
I got a Dodgers of America. My National League team
asked those myria.
Speaker 5 (01:45:00):
Yeah, but Daryl, let me ask you this real quick
before you make your point when we say when you say,
I'm not talking about the path that took to get
their Dodgers, and let's while it matters, but let's that
was the COVID season. I want you to SAMs the
COVID season without the COVID season since nineteen eighty eight
and the mid nineties for the Cowboys. What I'm talking
(01:45:23):
about closer which franchise is a worst closure, which is
a more disappointing closer. The Dodgers are the Cowboys, man.
Speaker 34 (01:45:33):
Man, I have to say, man, because what has happened
is that our expectations up there every year. Man, you know,
the Dodgers have had the down seasons. But the thing
is is that we have we we fired. Okay, at
the time Landry got fired, he was on a down season.
Speaker 7 (01:45:50):
Man.
Speaker 10 (01:45:50):
I mean he had four or five losing seasons in
a row.
Speaker 34 (01:45:53):
So I mean I went to eight up about about
him getting rid of him. It was the way that
he got rid of him, you know, Like I said,
every time somebody up that hell Billy and all this
that doug on rich Hill billion, all.
Speaker 10 (01:46:02):
His smart ideas.
Speaker 34 (01:46:04):
You know what I'm saying, Marketing I want to hear
about his marketing ideas. I want to see trophies in
this in the you know, he got rid of the best,
you know, the second best coach we ever had, and
some people made him think the best coach and uh
and Jimmy Johnson.
Speaker 21 (01:46:16):
Man.
Speaker 34 (01:46:16):
I like Jimmy Man.
Speaker 10 (01:46:17):
I was upset. I was more upset when that happens.
Speaker 34 (01:46:21):
I mean we haven't been the same man since since
we since we lost that coach man. I mean, we
just haven't recovered from that. Yeah, He's kept us reveling
in the news. We're the most revelent, irrevelent team in
the history of in history of sports right now, you know,
because of him. You know, I don't want to hear
no more about his marketing ideas and all these marketing
(01:46:41):
ideas he got, you know what I mean, he can
catch these nuts marketing, you know. But anyway, Bright, you
have heard of our port and you say you ain't
never heard of grows Brian Port nature's growth communities.
Speaker 4 (01:46:54):
Yeah, so I've heard of I've heard of P and
G and LMC on on the on that side.
Speaker 34 (01:46:57):
Of the city. Rose is a city and put nation
cities combined.
Speaker 3 (01:47:03):
Gotcha to two p n G. Yeah, p n G.
Speaker 4 (01:47:06):
For a while, there had a we're a powerhouse in
baseball like in four A five A.
Speaker 3 (01:47:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:47:15):
Man appreciated its always good.
Speaker 3 (01:47:24):
Oh yeah, heyds on the line these narah, I'm so
tired of market. You know, I just don't understand why
the cowboy faithful just doesn't trust me.
Speaker 11 (01:47:37):
I got it.
Speaker 13 (01:47:38):
That's Jack Prescott's j E r r u h Jarah
Jarah Jones. Look, I just I just signed C D Lamb. Okay,
right next, we're gonna focus on DAK.
Speaker 11 (01:47:51):
We're in a good spot.
Speaker 4 (01:47:52):
We're in a good spot right now. What's Mike McCarthy.
He's only gonna be our coach for another year and
I'm gonna bring.
Speaker 3 (01:47:59):
You Could you imagine? He basically did without saying it.
Speaker 5 (01:48:03):
CD got his contract, So all you guys who question
it could see these nuts better.
Speaker 4 (01:48:10):
Can you imagine what he was going on? He said,
would it would be a classic coming out of his head.
It would be the best audio. Cliff said, Well.
Speaker 5 (01:48:18):
I'll tell you you guys asked me to keep asking
me about Dak. I'll get to Dak, but I this
CD Lamb thing. It took a minute, but we got
it done like I told you would. And I want
you guys to understand, he's the highest paid signing bonus
in NFL history for a non quarterback, for a non quarterback,
I got Cooper cup here, I got Troy Aikman in
the past, I got Dak Prescott. But let me tell you,
(01:48:40):
you keep questioning me about being the GM. I just
paid the guy about fifty million signing bonus so you
could see these nuts.
Speaker 3 (01:48:48):
How funny would that be?
Speaker 4 (01:48:49):
Soud As Steven always tells me, you know, and I'm
gonna tell you, guys, you can see these nuts.
Speaker 3 (01:48:56):
I would frigging cry.
Speaker 5 (01:48:58):
He immediately goes in the Hall of Fame again for
a second bust because well, I.
Speaker 3 (01:49:04):
Tell you these nuts. CD's nuts. You think Ceede lamb
ever heard that? Oh if he didn't, then they.
Speaker 5 (01:49:12):
Miss did they missed it did? But I can fix it. Well,
you guys quit questioning me. Dack will get his done.
And by the way, ceed he got here. So CD's
nuts And.
Speaker 3 (01:49:22):
That's all the questions. I'm gonna take. Walk out of there.
Speaker 4 (01:49:27):
Oh Man seven two five seven ninety Talking about who
was the Sewan hot?
Speaker 3 (01:49:32):
Did you pose it on Twitter?
Speaker 5 (01:49:34):
Closer said who's the most since the late eighties Dodgers
or mid nineties Cowboys? With these storied franchises, Who's the
most disappointing closer? Sands the twenty twenty sixty game seed
You could even include that and still make an argument
for both who's the most disappointing closer?
Speaker 9 (01:49:53):
Now?
Speaker 3 (01:49:53):
Who got there more times?
Speaker 5 (01:49:54):
I can make the argument that when you get there
and keep losing, that you may be a bigger choker
than the one.
Speaker 3 (01:49:59):
Who doesn't get there. Yeah, I didn't say choker.
Speaker 5 (01:50:01):
The most disappointing closer between the Dodgers and the Cowboys
since late eighties for one, mid nineties for the other?
Speaker 3 (01:50:08):
Who is it? Cowboys Dodgers? Next, boy, you're back.
Speaker 1 (01:50:13):
This is the Sean Salisbury Show. Get back at it.
Speaker 5 (01:50:18):
And you get and then you get that football Thursday
with some meaningful games. Colorado North Dakota State upset alert.
Be careful if you're Colorado at home against North Dakota
State and then Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. We got ourselves
one hell of a well, it's really five days Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,
So it's a hell of a stretch when you include
all the sports. I love the college football tournament, our
(01:50:38):
college basketball tournament, March Madis. But when you go from
Thursday to Monday, this is a This is a pretty
good one because you get a little bit of everything included.
Let's get out to Ken and Katie. It's line four. Ken,
welcome in man.
Speaker 3 (01:50:51):
What's up?
Speaker 16 (01:50:53):
Hey?
Speaker 11 (01:50:53):
So I'll note my biasness first as an.
Speaker 17 (01:50:56):
Angels fan, but it's got to be the Dodgers as
being the worst at closing because they've been the presumptive
favorite to win the World Series so many times since
pretty much since like twenty seventeen to now. You're the
presumptive favorite to win the World Series, and you've got
one in a year where you didn't have to grind
(01:51:16):
as hard.
Speaker 3 (01:51:19):
I think you are one hundred percent. I mean it
was spot on.
Speaker 5 (01:51:22):
I mean the expectations for the Dodgers every year to
win a World Series while the Cowboys are America's team,
well maybe now that's a self appointed at this point
in time, but the Cowboys well expected to be competitive.
Speaker 3 (01:51:33):
Nobody mistakes them for the Chiefs.
Speaker 5 (01:51:35):
Right now, there are three or four franchise every year
we come into the Dodgers Nation, League favorite, super I
mean World Series favorite, and it's been like that for years.
It's a great point, and they spend a lot of money,
so I think that's a great call. kN Thank you,
good point. You can make an argument for both, and
I think both are valid. But as far as closers go,
neither one of them have come anywhere near Mariano Rivera
(01:51:55):
when it comes to closing out championships, Sands, the twenty
twenty season, the shortened season for COVID, for the Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (01:52:01):
Let's get to Clay Clay, what's going on, man? How
you doing?
Speaker 10 (01:52:05):
Hey, guys?
Speaker 32 (01:52:05):
Uh yeah, I've been a Cowboys fan for she's almost
over fifty years, and uh yeah, I guess it depends
on what fan base you're in, you know you belong to.
But I think the Cowboys are, by far, especially in
the last twenty six, twenty seven years, the biggest chokers
and the biggest disappointment. And I'm still a huge fan,
don't get me wrong, but right, you know, I mean
(01:52:27):
every year, the build up, the height, you know, every year,
it's it's I'm to the point where I'm still going
to be a fan because I'm a die hard, but
I'm just sick of all the you know, all the craps.
We'll see Jerry Jones what he's doing so makes a
lot of money, but disappointment fans a year after year
after year. I don't see anything change until Jerry's call.
To be honest with you.
Speaker 5 (01:52:46):
There you go, Clay, great stuff, man, We appreciate you.
And by the way, Kathy uh Doc State of the
Docs and Nators said, Billy lived in Tanglewood. We're talking
about top Billy lived in Tanglewood and went Hi s
D's Roberty Lee now Wisdom High School. And I think
that was also validated by our guy, coach Picket. He said, yeah,
(01:53:09):
I went to Roberty Lee at Richmond and Hillcroft. It's
our claim to fame, Kyle. So thank you Kathy and Kyle.
I think we know that there have been a few places,
but they're Houston proper proud.
Speaker 3 (01:53:20):
How's that going there? You go?
Speaker 5 (01:53:21):
All right, we still got biscuit Q. We're gonna get
to you guys. We've got to take quick break here
at the top of the r stay right there. Nine
o'clock's for you guys and for us to hammer some
a little more. Astros and a lot more as they
get set to take on the Kansas City Royals for four.
We've got time for one more triplely all right, let's
get Q. You were up there first. Q. What's going on?
Speaker 10 (01:53:41):
Man?
Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
How you doing?
Speaker 25 (01:53:43):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (01:53:43):
How's it going?
Speaker 7 (01:53:44):
Seaw a long.
Speaker 3 (01:53:45):
Time, many, buddy, Good to talk to you. How you been.
Speaker 7 (01:53:49):
Been better?
Speaker 25 (01:53:50):
But I've been lett sick but I'm better nine So.
Speaker 3 (01:53:52):
Great to hear. Great to hear your voice, man, man always.
Speaker 2 (01:53:56):
Yeah, I'll be going to go.
Speaker 25 (01:53:57):
Mind, But I listened a lot. You know, I think that,
without a doubt, it's the Dodgers. At least the Cowboys
did close in the nineties, you know, ninety three, ninety four,
and ninety six they did close. Not the hype about
the Cowboys winning it every year. We all know that's
just the few derelcts that just to see it. I've
(01:54:18):
been a fan for a long time too, But all
I see now is a bunch of overpaid devas that
don't accomplish nothing but get their contracts.
Speaker 7 (01:54:26):
So you know, at least when.
Speaker 25 (01:54:28):
Emmet and Troy and Michael's got their money, they won.
But these guys just getting they getting so much money
they don't. They don't leave enough money for depth. And
you know, in these days, without no depth, you lost.
You can't win with three players and one lineman and
you know, one guard and one you need depth, you know.
(01:54:48):
So that's that's their main problem. So as long as
Jerry talking that noise and getting the hype up, and
he's good for making money, but he ain't good for
winning no titles. You So I kind of like piggybacking
on the last collar. But I say the big difference
is they did close at me three times in the nineties.
So the Dodgers, you know, Kirk Gibson hitting that home
(01:55:11):
run on there, because the in eighty eight, you know,
we can't forget that because the fits pumps going all
the way around. But really, since then, what and they
have had legitimate teams to win.
Speaker 3 (01:55:21):
Yep. Good and also good point Q And I'm glad
you're feeling better.
Speaker 36 (01:55:24):
Brother.
Speaker 5 (01:55:24):
We'll look forward to talk to you. And if we
don't talk to you tomorrow, have a great Labor Day weekend,
my man.
Speaker 3 (01:55:28):
Thank you, welcome, you too good to talk to you.
We'll come back.
Speaker 5 (01:55:31):

it rolls by our callers and listeners make it so
easy on us to roll by and have fun and
have a lot of laughs along the way, with also
giving you some good sports and good banter. We'll come

Speaker 4 (01:56:58):
You got to make some picks. We're just not going

last two years, he ain't doing it in year three.
Speaker 3 (01:57:06):
I tell you that.
Speaker 10 (01:57:09):
M h.
Speaker 5 (01:57:11):
You know you're into some fantasy football leagues, dude, I'm
in three three of them.
Speaker 3 (01:57:15):
Yeah, nice, I am.
Speaker 5 (01:57:17):
You don't think I'm kicking your ass because we're not
keeping score right, counting, sug We're in this love together?
Who's counting?
Speaker 3 (01:57:24):
Yeah? It's could being in this love together, isn't it?
What is that? Is that coming through mine? Do you
hear that? I hear it. That's the way. I hope
that's not going out through the airwaves. I don't know, man,
crazy Man's place haunted or could be all right.
Speaker 5 (01:57:44):
Penny Wise might come walking in a minute that I
think the clown from.
Speaker 3 (01:57:49):
It never seen it, of course you haven't. You surprised,
not at all. M You ever heard of Penny Wise,
you know, you know the name. I've heard of Penny Hardaway.
I need to get you out more. I've heard of
Andrew Wise.
Speaker 4 (01:58:05):
Yeah, that's like the it's like the real, like the
sigh of like a disappointed father.
Speaker 3 (01:58:12):
Yeah, okay, you know about the clown penny Wise. I mean,
I know the clown penny Wise.
Speaker 4 (01:58:18):
Have just never seen the movie, that stupid red balloon
and he's in the gutter and all that weird stuff.
Speaker 5 (01:58:24):
Down where you the drain? Oh yeah, yeah, No, they
don't walk close to drains. No, I haven't. I haven't
ever seen it though. College football kicking off the night week, Uh,
what do we calling it?
Speaker 3 (01:58:38):
We won one week?
Speaker 20 (01:58:38):
Won?
Speaker 3 (01:58:39):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:58:40):
Uh, you got a full slate of games tonight. Uh,
some couple of ranked teams in action. Missouri is hosting
Murray State. Also, Kansas is hosting linden Wood.
Speaker 3 (01:58:54):
High School.
Speaker 4 (01:58:55):
That's right, that's right, yeah, over at over in Kansas City, Kansas.
Utah hosting Southern Utah. I would say the big game
tonight doesn't Colorado Plate Tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:59:07):
They play North Dakota State.
Speaker 5 (01:59:08):
That's what I thought, and I think that's I don't
know North Dakota State's roster. I just know every year
you can pencil them in to be one of the
finalists FORCNFCS. And they've got some really good football players
and they are so well coached. Year after year after year.
South Dakota State them the Montanas of the world. They
just bring it Montana State, it's it's a fun watch
(01:59:29):
Boise State, even though they're obviously have moved up and
do what they're doing, been dominant team for a while,
but those others do. I'm telling you right now, if
Colorado turns the ball over two or three times, North
Dakota State.
Speaker 3 (01:59:41):
Will beat them.
Speaker 5 (01:59:42):
Colorado is and I think it's in Boulder, so it
is favor nine and a half. I would not, I
would not Colorado should win. But I'm going to tell
you if you kind of like Florida State should have won,
go ahead and don't be let them hang around till
the fourth quarter, and do not be surprised because I'm
to I'm not sure Colorado State's I mean, Colorado's much
(02:00:03):
more physical than North Dakota State is.
Speaker 3 (02:00:06):
They're gonna they're gonna come up with some that game.
Speaker 5 (02:00:09):
Now if they're if they come out and play like
it against TCU last year, offensively, they'll put up points.
They'll be tough to beat. It could be just a
you know, a track meet in that one. But South,
I mean North Dakota State will give you all you
can handle.
Speaker 3 (02:00:20):
They do every year.
Speaker 5 (02:00:22):
If Colorado does not play precise football and be dynamic
offensively and get some stops defensively, northa Coast State can
win the game, you'd be I'd be on upset alert
if I was them, and if you're a gambler, nine
and a half. For me, I would if I was
betting this game, I gotta look more at it. I
think they are nine or nine and a half. I'm
not so sure. I'm not so sure that North Dakota State.
(02:00:42):
I'm not sure sure this isn't a fourth quarter inside
a touchdown type game.
Speaker 3 (02:00:46):
And maybe I'll be wrong.
Speaker 5 (02:00:47):
If Colorado plays well enough, if they both play good football,
Colorado should win. But I'm not taking this one for granted.
I'm gonna be tuned in because I want to see
how Deon brings his team out.
Speaker 4 (02:00:56):
Kind of also a sneaky game North Carolina and Minnesota.
Speaker 3 (02:01:00):
It's a really good favorite. I think it's a really
sneaky good game.
Speaker 5 (02:01:03):
And North Carolina got a new quarterback and Max Johnson,
so obviously for me, a former teammate of mine, my
eyes are there to see how he performs. And I
think that you know, they're the team this year that
nobody's talking about in the ACC Have you noticed it
said it's a bunch of others and that they're not
getting much run at least, So we'll find out with
this one. In Minnesota, they always always beat somebody during
(02:01:27):
the year that they were not supposed to beat, and
they'll be there'll be some energy and uh, we've got
some really good games for a Thursday night.
Speaker 3 (02:01:35):
Yeah, there's there's some there's some good ones.
Speaker 5 (02:01:37):
And I don't know how Southern Utah physically is going
to keep up with Utah.
Speaker 3 (02:01:40):
I don't know. I don't know how that's gonna happen.
It's thirty eight and a half point favorite as Utah.
Speaker 4 (02:01:45):
There you go, So there's uh, there's you know, a
couple of good games. Like uh, I mean, obviously this
one's gonna be a late one, but Sacramento State, San
Jose State, San Jose State favored just by three points,
Jacksonville State and Coastal care Alina Jacksonville State only favored
by three points. Then, I mean, if you continue to
(02:02:05):
go up, there's of course there's gonna be some blowouts.
But oh, like ULM Louisiana, Mon Road taking on Jackson
State that's just a seven and a half point favorite.
So there's some decent games tonight, and then tomorrow it's
it's a couple of TCU Stanford on Friday. We'll get
we'll get into those games tomorrow. But then of course Saturdays,
(02:02:26):
I'm actually kind of pumped to see.
Speaker 5 (02:02:28):
And I know they're not playing teams that are that
have any business being in the game. But Kansas and
Missouri both top twenty five teams this year. I don't
know when they'll maybe it happened last year, but other
than the last couple of years, there is no way
did Kansas football in Missouri football at the same time
have been in the top twenty five. It can have
(02:02:49):
been much the last thirty years, I don't think so.
I'm talking about Kansas football and Missouri football saime both
in the top twenty five preseason polls going into the season.
Speaker 3 (02:03:03):
It's had to be a long time.
Speaker 4 (02:03:05):
It's it's had to Yeah, I don't think, uh, Kansas
is never top twenty five preseason preseason.
Speaker 5 (02:03:12):
They've got last two or three years they been there.
Nobody's bye week now in Missouri under a you know,
the the Gary Pinkel they had some good teams.
Speaker 3 (02:03:20):
They had good teams. I mean really good teams.
Speaker 5 (02:03:22):
I'm talking about when both are doing at the same time,
not the one or the other, both at the same
time preseason polls. You'd be hard pressed, I bet in
the last if not ever, unless Gail Sayers was playing
for Kansas back in the day or John Hadle I can't,
I'll bet you. In the last three decades, neither one
have been in the top twenty five preseason pull At
the same.
Speaker 4 (02:03:42):
Time, Kansas has only been ranked in the preseason three
times in its history twenty twenty four, twenty eight, nineteen
ninety six.
Speaker 5 (02:03:49):
Okay, so if you say how many times is Missouri
and then you cross reference in both, it's not gonna
be very much in the preseason polls, not the postseason.
Speaker 3 (02:03:57):
I'm talking about preseason.
Speaker 5 (02:03:58):
Kansas and Missouri are both in tree because normally you'd think, okay,
we got there's no relaxation on the schedule.
Speaker 3 (02:04:04):
Both extremely well coached.
Speaker 5 (02:04:06):
Now you don't just go to Kansas to watch them
play basketball, and the same in Missouri, who's had some
good football teams they are, there are people who have
them in the playoff that to have them making the
playoff this year as a top twelve team, saying something.
Speaker 3 (02:04:21):
Man, so let's see if I can.
Speaker 5 (02:04:23):
They should dismantle their competition in their games tonight. But
they're a watch for me this year. I think Kansas's
football uniforms are pretty cool too.
Speaker 4 (02:04:34):
So preseason top twenty five for Missouri eleven different times.
Speaker 5 (02:04:39):
Gary Pinkel when he was the head coach, they've had those,
and so two on thousand and eight, twenty twenty four
for Kansas, and one other date, so they have they
married each other in any of those dates, so other.
Speaker 3 (02:04:52):
Than this year, Missouri twenty fifteen, twenty fourteen, twenty eleven,
two thousand and eight so Kansas, and one other time
an other time.
Speaker 5 (02:05:04):
There you go, after all those years, one other time
time they were both in the top twenty five preseason polls.
So I'm anxious to see those two teams play. But
the game, I really got an eye towards Colorado to
see how they come out in this first game.
Speaker 3 (02:05:19):
So basically.
Speaker 4 (02:05:21):
Dating back to the eighties, Missouri nineteen eighty was a
preseason ranking and nineteen seventy nine, I mean you can
go all the way back.
Speaker 5 (02:05:30):
Oh yeah, I just just for the last three decades
or you know, like from two thousand to now one
time where they've both been in.
Speaker 3 (02:05:37):
The preseason rankings at the same time. That's it until
until twenty twenty four, right, Yeah, that's pretty impressive.
Speaker 4 (02:05:42):
Let's continue to talk about college football as the full
slate of games tonight tomorrow and of course across the weekend.
Speaker 3 (02:05:51):
Who do we think could be upset? We'll discuss the next.
Speaker 38 (02:05:56):
This is Abury continues now Sports Talk seven ninety for
your records.
Speaker 3 (02:06:07):
That's gotta be right. What are y'all talking about? Gott
how because you're.
Speaker 5 (02:06:14):
Like you're like you're you're burying the Almond Brothers lead
and you just decided to put it on you just
to say it again.
Speaker 3 (02:06:21):
That's gotta be racing. No, No, that's not absolutely not No.
Speaker 5 (02:06:25):
It's like when you're talking like this the whole time,
and all of a sudden, sean, where are you going?
Speaker 3 (02:06:29):
It's going, Yeah, I could get some Lemonada? Yeah, man,
did we have a National Lemonada Day or recently?
Speaker 4 (02:06:38):
Yeah, it was like a couple days ago. Yeah, it
was a National something day every day?
Speaker 5 (02:06:42):
Are you more of a if you get rid of
the acidic that burns your throat on a good lemonade.
Speaker 3 (02:06:46):
Are you more of a pink lemonade guy? Or straight
limo limo nada triple? What about you?
Speaker 11 (02:06:56):
Pink lemonade lemonade, straight lemonade?
Speaker 3 (02:07:00):
Yeah, what about you? I'd probably have to go straight lemonade?
All right? Are you an Arnold palmer guy? Yeah? I
like no tea? Yeah? Do you know what? Do you
put a tea bag in yours? Triple?
Speaker 1 (02:07:13):
Or just.
Speaker 9 (02:07:15):
Then?
Speaker 18 (02:07:16):
No?
Speaker 11 (02:07:16):
No sweet and sweet and none of that.
Speaker 3 (02:07:17):
No, I like some sweet tea. Now give me a
little sweet tea with with some lemon nada? Yeah, I
mean yeah. You like tea bags as well, so it
makes sense, especially a Texas tea bag. What does that entail?
For the listeners out there, That's what a Texas tea
bag is. It's just a It's a bigger lifting tea bag,
that's all it is, or whatever tea you drink. I
(02:07:40):
don't know why are you making a big deal? I
just said the where do we live? We do live
in Texas? Okay? And do they have tea bags here?
They sure do?
Speaker 5 (02:07:47):
Probably bigger in Texas, right, it could be there you go.
So I like a good Arnold Palmer. Yeah, you want
to drop the splash of the v in there. Little
vodka in there.
Speaker 4 (02:07:57):
That'll work too, especially for a good college football weekend.
Come on now, Yes, it's supposed to rain all weekend though,
that kind of sucks.
Speaker 3 (02:08:05):
Yeah, there'll be some uh, there'll be some Truly's in
refrigerator for you when you get back. I'll be at Scottsdale.
Speaker 4 (02:08:10):
I talk when you get back for the next week.
October twelfth, mark calendar, it's marked. It is yep.
Speaker 3 (02:08:15):
Okay, well do we talk? Want to talk to Mark
or Jason? Uh?
Speaker 5 (02:08:19):
You can talk to both, Okay, we do. We got
questions about Big Twelve, the Big twelve. Oh, he wants
us to rank the Big twelve. What's there sixteen teams
in the Big twelve?
Speaker 3 (02:08:27):
Now there is once you get past twelve.
Speaker 5 (02:08:29):
Well, but we'll I'll give you my best I will
best idea in the Big twelve.
Speaker 3 (02:08:35):
And good luck. It's tart to Jason real quick before
we do that. Jason, Welcome in Morning Fellas.
Speaker 13 (02:08:42):
Once again.
Speaker 39 (02:08:42):
Shout out to Triple Lea for throwing down them Almon
brothers from making Georgia the Big House. Just I wanted
to call in about college football. Man, it's that time
of year. You start games at nine ten am on
Saturday morning, and you go to bed about one o'clock
in the morning. You tell your wife, hey, I'll see you,
uh in the spring, or see you after Christmas, because
(02:09:03):
on Saturdays, that's where it's gonna be.
Speaker 10 (02:09:05):
But my upset alert, man, I think it might be
Notre Dame.
Speaker 39 (02:09:08):
I'm interested to see what the Aggies can do with
their new head coach and them going into college station.
Gonna be a hostile environment. That's gonna be a big
game on Saturday night. And one last thing, I love
me some Arnold Palmer with a little deep Eddy Lemonada Vodkas.
Speaker 3 (02:09:24):
Yeah, I can good call. Let's go good call. I
like that. That was Jason.
Speaker 10 (02:09:30):
We have a great Labor Day.
Speaker 3 (02:09:32):
Weekend, thanks too. That's he's right now.
Speaker 5 (02:09:34):
I'm telling you what's Notre Dame seventh right now in
the country. This is gonna be. This is a dangerous game.
They're gonna be enthusiasm, They're gonna play better defense.
Speaker 3 (02:09:44):
A and m is.
Speaker 5 (02:09:46):
You got a quarterback who's healthy and local kid. You know,
we know how we feel about him or Bridgeland, right, Yeah, yep,
he is.
Speaker 3 (02:09:55):
And Connor Wigman.
Speaker 5 (02:09:56):
When I saw him play in high school, I was
I was taking a by his command of the entire
offense and the kids. An athlete to one of you
good baseball players.
Speaker 4 (02:10:06):
Was yeah, I got to do two of his playoff
games on local radio.
Speaker 3 (02:10:10):
Yeah, he's a player. He was impressive.
Speaker 5 (02:10:12):
I'm impressed by him. Stamp keep him healthy a little more.
He gets more explosiveness on offense. But I'm going to
tell you this is dangerous.
Speaker 3 (02:10:19):
Notre Dame.
Speaker 5 (02:10:19):
What Riley Leonard to transfer from, what Duke is going
to be starting for them? This is this the last
two I mean what was year before? Hartman was the
sambarda from Wake Forest on a transfer. So a veteran
that's got some game. But I'm just telling you this
is dangerous to roll into one hundred plus and Kyle
Field opener a lot of enthusiasm. I'm not so sure
that Texas A and M isn't going to give Notre
(02:10:40):
Dame all they can handle. I think that's upset alert
Saturday as well. I think it's a It's it's close
and impossible.
Speaker 3 (02:10:47):
You want to go through the Big twelve? Sure, all right?
I think you and I can agree that Utah is
at the top. That's my that's my number one. I
got them winning the Big twelve. Have Utah there as well.
Number two.
Speaker 4 (02:11:01):
Interesting because I feel like in the Big twelve the
top two, three or four can be interchangeable, but I
might might give the edge. Oh man, I don't know
if it's Kansas State or Oklahoma State.
Speaker 5 (02:11:15):
I go I got Oklahoma State to Kansas State is
my third favorite team, Arizona and Kansas. I'm gonna put
Kansas ahead of Arizona. So Kansas and then Arizona those
are my top five. After that, I'm trying to think
I'm good.
Speaker 3 (02:11:30):
Look there's Arizona State and b Why I mean, really
just got Iowa State in there.
Speaker 5 (02:11:34):
I got Colorado nowhere near the top. Iowa State's always
gonna you know, they're well coached and they'll be a
team to deal with. I think TCU, you know, they're
always explosive, they're well coached as well. I think BYU
is has been a solid team. I think that they're
in a little bit of trouble this year. That's a
coaching alert. Watch you'll see what the vexas Tech has
(02:11:57):
gotten better and they've recruited better. I think the top
five to me, I don't want to say Echton Stone,
but I'm going to tell you to keep an eye
on too as far as is as far going to be.
West Virginia is going to beat some people this year.
West Virginia, I might have them in that six to
eight range the bottom.
Speaker 3 (02:12:13):
I mean.
Speaker 5 (02:12:14):
Then then then there's you know, the Texas, Texas, Arizona States.
By used to me, I think that Baylor is going
to have some trouble. David rand is on Harry hot seat,
There's no question about it. I don't think Cincinnati is
gonna make much of an impact in the conference.
Speaker 3 (02:12:33):
There UCF.
Speaker 5 (02:12:35):
I think Arizona is a far better team than Arizona
State right now. So to me, the top five, uh,
in my mind are and tops. I can put West
Virginia near the top of that. But you it's you Tall,
Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Kansas, Arizona.
Speaker 3 (02:12:52):
For me, you know, I'm pretty pretty intrigued by I
don't think they're gonna be a time. I'm looking forward
to seeing Houston and Willie Fritz exactly to see what
it does with them.
Speaker 4 (02:12:59):
It's exactly what I was going to bring up is
what is Willi Fritz gonna do in his first year
with you?
Speaker 3 (02:13:02):
Of ah?
Speaker 4 (02:13:03):
Willi Fritz is a winner, Oh, no question. Everywhere he goes,
he wins.
Speaker 3 (02:13:06):
I'll be honest.
Speaker 5 (02:13:07):
I don't think that they're in danger of winning the
Big the Big twelve this year, but I think we're
going to see exactly what his presence means to them.
Speaker 4 (02:13:14):
I mean, you saw him two days, three days, he
took you of h When he first got the job,
they were one hundred and fiftieth uh in recruiting, recruiting,
and then in two or three days he got him
into the top fifty.
Speaker 3 (02:13:26):
They're gonna win.
Speaker 5 (02:13:27):
It may not be to the number that you want
right now, but he's He's really solid, not only as
a football coach, but as a leader and a recruiter.
Speaker 3 (02:13:38):
I like him.
Speaker 5 (02:13:38):
I just think they're in the second half of the
Big twelve this year. Yeah, I think interchanged the first six.
Speaker 3 (02:13:43):
How you want? An upset's going to happen.
Speaker 5 (02:13:45):
Somebody that we think is going to be really good
is going to drop out of the top twenty five.
Right of the teams that are ranked right now, but
there's a you know, four or five of them that
are ranked right now, and a couple of the unranked
ones like West Virginia. I'll give you hell. You know,
b YU going too Pro Bowl gives you a game
every now and again. I mean they're tough to play,
that's right. And Dave Randa, I mean we know the
urgency of for him. And there's a couple of coaches
(02:14:07):
in there, Sataki at BYU, Dave Randa at Baylor. They
probably need to win a bunch of games to survive
next year.
Speaker 4 (02:14:16):
Willie Fritz as a head coach one eighty five seventy
and one. That's a seventy two point five winning percentage.
Speaker 3 (02:14:23):
He wins wherever he goes. He's a winner. Yep. I
think this was an excellent higher yep.
Speaker 4 (02:14:27):
So I think that it might take a little bit
of time, but they'll they they'll be better than they
were last year because for whatever reason, oh my gosh,
what's his name, Dana Holgerson, it just did not click anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:14:38):
What if I were to tell you the Big twelves
deeper than you think. I think it is deeper. I
think it's I think deeper than you think it is.
Speaker 4 (02:14:44):
I think there's I think at the top, like we
just said, you've got Oklahoma State, You've got Kansas State,
You've got Kansas, You've got Arizona, and you've got Utah.
Those are, in my opinion, the top five and whatever
order you want to do it. But then you've also
got who knows what Colorado's going to look like?
Speaker 5 (02:14:59):
And I'm anxious to see what the three of the newcomers,
not counting Utah, which would be a fourth one, right,
but Arizona State, Colorado. And we already know that Arizona's good,
Arizona State, Colorado. And who am I leaving out of that?
You know they've been in the big twelve, Arizona State, Colorado,
and Utah, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah. Who am I leaving
(02:15:22):
out of the group that came Utah Colorado?
Speaker 1 (02:15:25):
No?
Speaker 3 (02:15:26):
No, BYU came in? Is that the fourth one? Yeah?
Am I? Look at there?
Speaker 7 (02:15:29):
You going?
Speaker 3 (02:15:30):
All right? So yeah, so b Yu.
Speaker 5 (02:15:32):
I'm anxious to see how they handle moving a little
different approach, a lot of offense. Arizona lost a coaching staff,
you know, to Washington.
Speaker 3 (02:15:43):
We've mentioned that before.
Speaker 5 (02:15:45):
I'm anxious to see where they fit in in this
and I think that makes this conference not only numbers deeper.
Speaker 3 (02:15:50):
But I think it's a better conference than you think.
Speaker 5 (02:15:53):
And it wouldn't shock me if team like Kansas, team
like Utah Utah jumps into the TA team, wouldn't surprise
me Kansas wins a few games and jumps into the
top fifteen soon. And I think Oklahoma State's dangerous. I
I have If Oklahoma State wins the conference, you should
not be surprised.
Speaker 3 (02:16:10):
They got a really good running back, but they doon.
Speaker 5 (02:16:12):
And the one thing about it is can you win
if you run into a team like Utah who punches
you in the mouth, and you become a pass happy team,
which Big twelve has no problem throwing it.
Speaker 3 (02:16:21):
But you know, you know that Gandhi wants to run
it and mix in the pass, and that's where they're
going to start. You want to make excuse me, you
want to make some picks for tonight?
Speaker 4 (02:16:29):
Sure, because the last segment, I got something special for you.
I'm not gonna tell you what it is. It ain't bad, though,
You got something special for you. Yeah, it could be
go go ash shows.
Speaker 3 (02:16:39):
You never know. Oh of course it's gonna be one
no no, no, no no songs.
Speaker 5 (02:16:44):
Whoa, whoa, it's a tough straight at nine thirty. It
is man late straight too. I'm sorry, man, let's man, dude,
let's look at the Thursday.
Speaker 3 (02:16:53):
They say sorry, not sorry? Yeah, sorry, not sorry you.
Let's keep it going right here on the Shawn Salz Radio, We're.
Speaker 1 (02:17:01):
The Shawn Salisbury Show continued.
Speaker 4 (02:17:05):
Got some uh, some pretty sneaky games tonight, nothing too crazy.
Got a couple of ranked teams in action, Missouri in
Kansas and uh oh oh, my bad. Gotta put some
respect on the NC State wolf Pack. They are hosting
a Western at Carolina.
Speaker 3 (02:17:21):
I mean, do we really?
Speaker 5 (02:17:22):
Yeah, they're ranked twenty four, but I know they're ranked.
But do we got to put respect on them?
Speaker 3 (02:17:27):
Really? Yeah? I mean do we? Yeah? We do we?
We should take the lowest thirteen bucks.
Speaker 4 (02:17:30):
If you want to go good program. It really is
program Fordham and Bowling Green. Look out, Why are you
even reading these? I don't even think Slippery Rocks playing
the night though, Dogs.
Speaker 3 (02:17:42):
The Rock, dude, you don't want to mess with the
Rock man.
Speaker 4 (02:17:44):
Ducane taking on Toledo be a great basketball game?
Speaker 3 (02:17:48):
What problem, no doubt? What was the most famous basketball
player from Dukane? Let me google that. I'm gonna tell
you who I think it is? From du Ken's Wealth
of Useless Knowledge, Norm Nixon, Norman Nixon, Michael Lamont James, No,
(02:18:08):
that's what it says.
Speaker 4 (02:18:09):
Basketball player, Yeah, Michael James, like James Derek Bell. He
was an American lawyer and scholar.
Speaker 3 (02:18:18):
I said most famous Art Rooney, I said basketball player
or athlete? Who did you say? Norm Nixon? Laker point
guard is anty a Ducaine guy.
Speaker 4 (02:18:29):
Norm Nixon is an American former professional basketball player who
played for the Lakers and the San Diego Slash Los
Angeles Clippers of the NBA. He's listed as number two.
Do you know who number one? The most famous person
to come out of Ducane.
Speaker 5 (02:18:42):
Is give me a profession first singer and actor?
Speaker 3 (02:18:48):
What I know? Who it is? Probably? You know what?
You know a lot of weird stuff.
Speaker 5 (02:18:53):
The fact that's the truest thing ever been said on here,
especially today.
Speaker 3 (02:18:59):
Uh can I get a first name? Bobby? Not Bobby?
You say a singer? Actor? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:19:09):
Say what you're about to say? Why I think you
hit it?
Speaker 3 (02:19:13):
Say it? Who is it? Who are you gonna say?
But who is it? Bobby Vinton? When you said school
an actor? Old school?
Speaker 5 (02:19:20):
Yeah, isn't he during Bobby Vent? I know who it is,
but isn't he like during like the back in the day,
like the seventies sixties. Isn't Bobby Event in the sixties
seventies singer? He's more singer than actor. I feel like
he was during the Elvis Press League, you know the
a Nette Food Oficello those those days.
Speaker 3 (02:19:42):
Bobby Vent was a Ducaine guy.
Speaker 4 (02:19:43):
Yeah, he's the number one notable alumni from Dukeane and
Norm Nixon's too, number two.
Speaker 3 (02:19:49):
Put some respect. TJ McConnell. TJ McConnell.
Speaker 4 (02:19:54):
He played for Uh, he was Uh, let's see, he
played for Indiana the Pacers in the NBA College Basketball
Ducaine and then transferred areas. He's the most recent of them.
Of who players have you ever heard of? Is it
Lamon or Lamon Rucker? Lamon Rucker, I.
Speaker 3 (02:20:10):
Don't know, Probably Lamon, but I don't know who that is.
Speaker 4 (02:20:12):
Jenna Morosca, don't know Art Rooney. Second, that's that's a
pretty pretty notable.
Speaker 3 (02:20:20):
Oh yeah, how was he not? How is he? Number seven?
Speaker 4 (02:20:23):
Carl Betts your name and guys, I don't know anything
about Mike James, mift Ishmael Chip Ganassi. Oh, there you go,
Chip Gas, there you go, Motorsports Hall of Fame car owner.
Speaker 3 (02:20:37):
There you go. Oh, I know you're gonna know this one.
Don Clint Dennon, former baseball player New York Mets. Yep,
he died at the age of seventy wealthy useless knowledge.
Just ask me. It's useless though, isn't it. Yeah?
Speaker 5 (02:20:52):
But you know, now you can win who's Dukene's most
famous basketball You go and win a sports quiz.
Speaker 4 (02:20:56):
Lionel Kenasher probably Lionel Lionel. Yeah, Lionel. They called him
the Big Train Canadian athlete play Canadian football.
Speaker 3 (02:21:05):
There you go, Yeah, you got some picks for me?
What do you got for me? Dan Rooney? Now that's
there you go. That's that's the most famous one. All right,
there we go. And then Joseph Bimel played in the
big leagues. Yeah. I mean, so, if you want to
get your ass whupped and some picks this year, you
just let me know. Uh you ready? No? Okay? Yeah?
(02:21:26):
What games? Do you want to pick? The ranked teams today? Okay,
it's just a rank game Western Carolina at North Carolina State.
Give me a spread? Please? Are we picking straight or spread.
You gotta go spread, you gotta go spread. Uh. Western
Carolina is receiving thirty two and a half points over
under sixty one and a half.
Speaker 5 (02:21:47):
I'm gonna take the I take North Carolina State like
like forty one to three, forty one to ten.
Speaker 3 (02:21:53):
So that's how much?
Speaker 23 (02:21:54):
Is that?
Speaker 5 (02:21:54):
How much they thirty two and a half? Give me
West Carolina? Western Carolina to cover?
Speaker 4 (02:21:58):
Yeah, back door could be love a good pattor cover
everybody does. Murray State at Missouri MISSOO is favored by
forty seven and a half.
Speaker 5 (02:22:10):
That's hard. It's hard in an opening game to get that.
I'm gonna give me the underdog, Okay State to get
inside of fifty. Yeah, Missouri is gonna win. North Carolina
State are gonna win their games. Yeah, that's a lot
of points to get going right off the.
Speaker 3 (02:22:23):
Bat over under set at fifty seven and a half and.
Speaker 5 (02:22:25):
They got him by forty seven and a half. Yeah,
that's tough, man tough.
Speaker 4 (02:22:29):
Lynden Wood at Kansas Kansas is favored by forty five
and a half over under set at sixty and a half.
Speaker 5 (02:22:34):
Give me Kansas Kansas is like sixty three to This
is like sixty three to ten.
Speaker 3 (02:22:38):
You're gonna beat the brakes off of them. I'll take
that one.
Speaker 4 (02:22:41):
And then these aren't ranked teams, but this is gonna
be a good game, two good games. I think North
Carolina at Minnesota, North Carolina favored by just two points.
Speaker 5 (02:22:51):
I'm gonna take uh. I'll take Carolina on the road
to win to road dog on a Thursday.
Speaker 3 (02:22:58):
That's gonna be a.
Speaker 5 (02:23:00):
Road road favorite, road fall the road favorite on a Thursday.
That's right, Okay, Minnesota is the dog North Caro excuse me.
Speaker 4 (02:23:05):
North Dakota State at Colorado, Colorado just by nine and
a half.
Speaker 5 (02:23:09):
Give me North Dakota State inside that. I think Colorado
gonna win the game in North Carolina State is gonna
make it a fourth quarter game.
Speaker 4 (02:23:15):
Then the last one will be North Carolina, North Dakota State,
North Dakota State, North Dakota State. Utah number twelve in
the country, hosting Southern Utah. Utah is favored by thirty
nine and a half.
Speaker 3 (02:23:26):
Gimme Utah. I think this is one of those where
they hang forty plus and hold them defensively, but they're
gonna pull their starters out after they're dominating this they're
not gonna hang around long Kyle Whittingham the physicality, but
this could be one of those games where they end
up winning, like thirty one to ten.
Speaker 5 (02:23:43):
Right, they jump out to thirty one nothing lead, So
I guess that would say, give me the other team.
But I think that Utah. I think their backups are
going enough to do it. Southern Utah. They're not far
away from each other. I'm gonna go with Utah, but
I don't think Utah is gonna r I just think
physically they're gonna wear Southern Utah out.
Speaker 3 (02:24:02):
Yeah, that's fifty five and a half is the over under? Yeah,
the dog the most dangerous dog tonight.
Speaker 5 (02:24:09):
Minnesota dangerous, and I think North Dakota State's dangerous. The
other ones you're not in any linwooded and beat in Kansas. Now,
Missouri's not losing to Murray State. Murray State. What Kentucky
I think is in Kentucky. So yeah, but keep an
eye on is just straight up upset alert.
Speaker 3 (02:24:26):
Got to be happening in Boulder possibly and in Minneapolis.
Speaker 4 (02:24:30):
And then let's see North Dakota State at Colorado. That's
a seven o'clock kickoff over on ESPN and North Carolina
at Minnesota seven o'clock on Fox.
Speaker 3 (02:24:37):
I'll be switching to them. I can't wait, Yeah, I
can't wait for that. All right, you're ready for you?
Ready for the next segment? Will blast from your pass Yeah,
you got some music? I might all right, good luck?
Ready for it always, let's get let's get to it.
Speaker 4 (02:24:53):
And let's also tell you about Brotherly Love Electric and
their home generator. Storm season is here, there's some action
in the tropics. Looks like tropical development on a storm
could move into the Caribbean and the next thing you know,
it'll be in the Gulf of Mexico. And then we're
gonna have to keep our eyes on at that update
coming out this morning. And you know what happened when
Hurricane Beryl came through, knocked out power for entirely too long,
and that grid we know, we know what it is.
(02:25:14):

want to be left in the dark. So get on

On an American made Bridge and Stratton home generator from
Brotherly Love Electric. They are a diamond dealer off offering
the largest air cooled unit on the market, including a
ten year warranty model. They have a fully stocked warehouse.
You don't have to worry about the six monthly times

Brotherly Love Electric group has the shortest lead times right
(02:25:52):
now for generators in the city. They also offer twenty
four to seven monitoring of your generator system, so if
there's ever a problem, they're gonna know about it before
you do. If you need your current generator, whatever brand

(02:26:13):
Stradden home generator from Brotherly Love Electric.
Speaker 3 (02:26:15):
It's a connection you can count on.
Speaker 12 (02:26:18):
This is the Sean Salisbury Show, Salutiful.
Speaker 4 (02:26:25):
Without any context or anything. I just want you to listen, Sean,
here we go.
Speaker 14 (02:26:31):
We're a football podcasts. We got to get into a
little bit of your QB. You already told everybody that
you were kind of a pop warner QB but longest
yard man.
Speaker 3 (02:26:42):
How much like prep in the NFL?
Speaker 14 (02:26:44):
Were you just out there winging it knowing that you
still had the skill set?
Speaker 3 (02:26:47):
Nah, I was scared. You take some pointers from some
guys fellas. When I was a QB, I dropped so
many snaps.
Speaker 4 (02:26:54):
My coach, you said, oh, would you get your hands
in there?
Speaker 3 (02:26:56):
I didn't get in there. I was terrified. As a center,
you gotta feel the pressure.
Speaker 40 (02:27:01):
I apologize to you and everybody, be poor you, Jim Hoto, everybody.
I made a mistake. I felt so bad at my
hand on that cup. When I got my hands in
that deep man, it always worked out. John Salisbury was
nice enough, a great guy.
Speaker 3 (02:27:17):
He every day would throw the ball with me. Taught
me how to throw it a little farther, to be
a little more confident with that. Because when I was
pop born.
Speaker 11 (02:27:24):
And like it, it would be like straight t twenty
six on on.
Speaker 33 (02:27:28):
Break on set twenty six, all right ready, right then
I'd get out there my little baby voice. I would
throw that that quarterback thing whatever, and I don't do that.
Speaker 3 (02:27:40):
I was both when I did it.
Speaker 33 (02:27:42):
I never I never sounded cool, but I remember Salisbury
would always yell at me, like.
Speaker 39 (02:27:46):
You gotta command that team, get out there and be
a man about this good.
Speaker 4 (02:27:52):
So that was Adam Sandler on the New Heights podcast
with Jason Kelcey Travis Kelsey, and they gave you a
shout out, man.
Speaker 3 (02:27:59):
I thought that was really really nice. Man. I wanted
to make my idea it was coming.
Speaker 5 (02:28:03):
I liked that Kelsey said people taught you and saying, man,
you know we grinded for months man doing it. And
he was really good. He did what a good actor
is supposed to do. Act like you know, how to
play quarterback, did a bunch of stuff. And I was
proud of him actually because he worked his ass off
and appreciate the shout out from a dear friend and
a guy that has created some so many great memories. Listen,
(02:28:24):
when you're growing up, last thing you think is I'm
gonna be trained that guy to play quarterback and I'm
gonna be in his movies, and more importantly than all that,
his former friendship.
Speaker 3 (02:28:32):
So it was really cool to hear and he's exactly right.
Speaker 5 (02:28:34):
Did we grind it and grinded and grinded, and you
yelling that guy got in his ass. That didn't sound right.
I got on his ass because I told him from
the beginning. I asked him what he expected from me
when we were sitting around. Dude, when we first went
to the Sony Studios the first time I met him,
talked about this, right, we said to Sony Studios and
the producer and the director and you know spades walking
(02:28:55):
around and all the schnyder because they're walking around like
cargo shorts doing their thing. Just just one of us, right,
And I'm with my agent at the time, and I
was like, man, what what am I supposed to do here?
And so I said, what do you expect from me?
And he told me and then I said, well, here's
what I expect from you with my name, and we
went and he lived up to every aspect of it. Man,
what a what a phenomenal human being. And so I
(02:29:16):
was cool, thanks, it's nice to play. I didn't hear
about that until you mentioned it this morning.
Speaker 9 (02:29:22):
Fire.
Speaker 4 (02:29:22):
Yeah, she tweeted it. Yes, or I saw that, and
I want to make sure we played that. Such a
friggin good dude. Man, Hey, how we had so.
Speaker 3 (02:29:29):
Much fun training too? He worked his ass off. How
was Kevin nash On that set awesome.
Speaker 5 (02:29:33):
Loved Nasher. He was he and we had some good time.
We'd sit in a in New Mexico and Santa Fe
he and I and Goldberg, I remember Nan Steve Vost
would sit in the lobby and we were.
Speaker 3 (02:29:44):
Waiting to go somewhere.
Speaker 5 (02:29:45):
We get ready to go to dinner and we talk
old school stuff and have a lot of good laughs.
Forge the fun friends at Nasher was great to me.
Speaker 3 (02:29:52):
He was great. And we were in the golf course.
Say on the on the you know on the picture
on the golf course with the taking a pire, he's
in the back man that he didn't get the gear.
He had to stay behind in Sandler.
Speaker 5 (02:30:01):
But uh, it was fun times and training him was
one of the life's best experiences because he treated me
and everybody else the same like gold he did Sandler
was amazing and the people around him. So that was fun.
Shout out fun that the fun that he said it,
but also fun. I got an opportunity to do it.
Speaker 3 (02:30:18):
Most people would do anything for and uh, I never
knew what was coming until until when he called me
in Environmt.
Speaker 5 (02:30:23):
I didn't believe it the first time. So yeah, it
was good. Thanks for playing that a charish after a
long time. I'm glad he still remembers that he could
throw the ball. Paul Crew, great stuff.
Speaker 4 (02:30:35):
Yeah, and then maybe we'll get David Spade gets your
shout out for playing Brad.
Speaker 3 (02:30:40):
Yeah, we should get your truth is we should get
him and Schneider on at the same time.
Speaker 4 (02:30:44):
Oh God, talking about how much fun we had with that.
You heard Rob Schneider stand up here lately.
Speaker 5 (02:30:50):
But I was, well, he was with Sandler and when
they came here to console. Oh yeah, dude, he's politics
is his number one go.
Speaker 3 (02:30:58):
To right now, right out? Good dude, you treated my
kids phenomenal. That was great stuff.
Speaker 4 (02:31:04):
