Shawn Salisbury, Brian Lolima, EmanuelElmore. Looking ahead to the Texans and
Jets matchup. The Jets have notallowed a three hundred yard passer and thirty
(00:44):
games can c J Stroud in thatstreak. Had a trade late last night
in Major League Baseball, the RedSox ship Alex Verdugo to the Yankees.
What's the latest on Trevor Lawrence andhow is that gonna affect the AFC South.
Also Dana Brown making some comments atthe Winter meetings saying that the Astros
could potentially make a trade or signa free agent before the Winter Meetings are
(01:07):
over. That's in a couple ofdays. Oh by the way, Sean,
I see you're wearing a good morningfellas I see you're wearing a Lakers
hoodie today, a little chili out. Yeah, little Lakers, Laker girls.
Your uh, your Lakers have reachedthe semi finals of the NBA In
Season Tournament after a controversial timeout againstthe Phoenix Suns. But hey, they're
there. Oh in season tournament, controversial time out? How are we feeling
(01:29):
about it? I mean, again, what happens after the Lakers if they
win this in season tournament? Whatdoes that get them? They get them,
they get win dout, win indoubt, paint the court, and
give the players more money. That'swhat it is. Don't worry about the
fan. Let me ask you this, what do you think the ticket price
is for a Laker game? Uh? What was it last year? During
there? What was it last year? And then I'm curious what it is
(01:51):
during the n season tournament where we'remaking sure the player. Here's here's a
novel concept in television and sports andprofessional sports. It's the most awesome thing
in the world. Here here's whatI love. I don't begrudge anybody for
getting there. I don't get theirwallet, don't care who they vote for
it. Okay, I could careless about any of that. That's never
me. I don't lose friends overmoney, and all that stuff doesn't make
(02:14):
a difference to me. But here'sthe thing that makes me laugh. Those
people sitting in a stands now, some of them got a lot of money.
But for a family that's going towatch their first Laker game, well,
their first Rockets game were their firstwhoever game, right, Sacramento Kings.
And you're in this tournament at theLaker game and they're playing the Suns,
and you're really not If you winit, it sound like you get
(02:35):
an automatic berth in the top tenonce this, Which would you want to
you want to heighten the awareness, get that when that thing gives you an
automatic birth where you're either you're betweenyou come in like between number five and
seven, right, you automatically. And the person who ended five, that
didn't win in the tournament and didn'tgo deep, the person who got eliminated
early in the Ncason tournament, ifthey qualify for the top ten, they
do, but they can never havethe fifth slot because you've already sown that
(02:58):
one up fair enough, whatever itwas. But here's what we do in
these tournaments. And I freaking loveit. Sure I do. Is the
fan that's going to that game thend season tournament? Is there ticket half
price? No, it's not toheightened fan. Wait what do we do
this in season tournament for? Tocreate more competition and to have a little
(03:19):
like I don't know, so wehave banner at the water cooler? My
team beat your team before Christmas timein a tournament when we are eight games
into the season. That type ofthing. Yeah, all right, so
tell you it's not desperate at all, right by the NBA. So instead
of appeasing those people who come tothe game right now, the fan base
whose eyes are for the most parton NFL and college football. Now you
(03:40):
get December where the bowl games. But you get about two weeks after this
Heisman Lombardi Awards at Heisman Awards thisSaturday, you get about two weeks where
it's like, okay, no bowlgames. So let's see if we can
control this NBA thing and get someeyes to us. Okay, understandable.
But whose eyes do you want? The fans? Right, yeah, or
(04:00):
you're advertisers or you want you wantos. I'm just curious during this tournament,
did you not only you're not onlypaying the players more money, you're
giving them an in season Yeah,I believe. Isn't it a seven figure
bonus for winning? Everybody? Ye'llthey get like a million bucks each or
something like that. All Right,So if that's the case, you're trying
to keep so you want to keepthe players interest yet can you imagine you're
(04:24):
already playing an eighty two game schedule, But in order to keep the players
interest, because we don't want yousitting out, we want to make sure
that you're not doing load management duringthis time that we are going to give
you an incentive during the season whenyou're already under contract a game fifteen to
twenty games in the season, wewant to give you a bonus, but
that fan in the stands is stillpaying the same price. So basically,
(04:47):
the you win money per round ifyou get That's what I'm saying. If
you get to the quarterfinal game, you win fifty grand. If you reach
the semifinal game, you reach youget hurt player. Uh yeah, not
based on your salary. Everybody getsthe same amount. Player right, reach
the semifinal game, you get onehundred grand. Reach the championship game you
get two hundred grand. If youwin it, you get five hundred grand,
So it ends up being like amillion bucks all the way through something
(05:10):
like that somewhere around there, right, seven fifty almost almost a million bucks,
all right? And so with that, so did they say, well,
we're paying these guys, so weliterally can you imagine you're already at
your job and in order for usto tell you to please show up and
play hard during the regular season,we got to give you a million extra
dollars to play hard incentive. Andyou're it's not like it's seventy games in
(05:31):
where you're tired. They started thisthing before you hit started a team four.
Yeah, I mean so game.My point is, ay, we
got to get it. So areyou doing it for the eyes? You
know what? It goes back tothe player empowerment. You want us to
play every night. You don't wantus to take a night off here and
there or a lot. Here's whatyou do ten games into the season,
have an end season tournament before Christmastime during football season. Your goal is
(05:54):
to get eyes and awareness to basketball, to make them you know, jones
for it. Yet in truth, you're asking the player, could you just
play right now? We've got alittle incentive, Just just don't sit this
one out, play hard because there'sa million extra dollars waiting on you.
Yeah, you get my point here. Yeah, it's just that, that's
why it's such a desperate cry.I like, listen, if I'm a
(06:15):
basketball fan, which I'm guess whatwhen the Lakers play the Rockets or the
Lakers play the Suns, guess whatI'm gonna do? Watch whether they're matter
of fact, I'm more apt notto watch. Thinking you mean, you
had to, You had to coercethese guys with a million dollars extra money
to get them to play in Novemberand December when they haven't even urinated to
drop in the season just yet.So that's what the So let me ask
(06:38):
you this, what kind of excitementam I supposed to have as a Laker
fan? Yeah? Growing up?I mean, you know why they're back
that the Laker being a Laker fanstough on me these last four years or
whatever it's been five years. Yeah, you understand that when I say tough,
it's not like I suffer over Butyou know my point is it's not.
(06:59):
It's a little different than the Kobeand old school Lakers, right,
Magic Johnson Lakers abdul jabbar. Butit's been in my blood since I was
old enough to know how to saybasketball. So what am I suppose?
What's what's the incentive? You tellme what the I'd like to know what
the reason for an end season turn. We asked this before and I still
don't have an answer. What's theseason tournament reason? If it's not for
(07:26):
getting the players to stay a littlemore engaged? Are a lot more engaged
to give them a million dollar opportunitybefore they even get to Christmas and their
bodies aren't even tired yet because it'searly in the season, or to get
the fans interest yet, are theyI need to know. Are they cutting
the cost of the fans to say, you know, we're gonna give you
the November December discount double check youshow up. We want you that we
(07:53):
were trying to bring you here toso we're gonna give well, we're paying
the player extra to actually do hisjob. We want to take away.
We'd like you to understand you canbring your family a FOD to more than
one game or six or eight. You know why, because we're cutting the
ticket in half during this in seasontournament to make you want to go watch
more basketball, as opposed to whenyou'd normally stay home in November or December
because you're saving money for the holidaysto go to the one game a year
(08:15):
you can go to in March. But then by March, that's the time
when Kawhi Leonard takes four straight daysoff after one back to back game because
he's tired. You get my point, So let's just give him Whenever you
listen, I'll make you a deal. Here's the next thing in the CBA.
For every game we don't sit outwhen it's a load on a back
to back or the next game two, you give me an extra million dollars
(08:37):
that you laugh? You laugh? Is there going to be an incentive?
And somewhere along the line, say, if you're a healthy player and you
play all eighty two, we'll giveyou a five million dollar bonus at the
end. Yeah, I can seeyou see my point. You're not hurt
if you're one of those guys thatyou you toughed it out for load management.
This is the survival You know howwe have Survivors season number four hundred
(09:00):
and thirty eight. You know what, you played eighty two games this year
and you are healthy, five milliondollar bonus for you, there's the incentive
not to haveload management. Everything we'redoing for this is for everything is to
make sure the player wins. Butyou're still paying full price for your ticket.
And in truth, the players gotto show up to the game anyway
they do. They're trying to gettheir fans attention during November and December two
(09:22):
draw some interest before the five gameson Christmas Day on National TV, which
I love, one after the othersending Christmas eating ham and twice make potato,
and I'm watching those damn games, right, grab me some scones while
you're at it the morning for breakfast. You go on Christmas morning and let's
go, Well, here we are. I just I find it absolutely baffling
(09:43):
that this is what we have todo fifteen games into a season. Yet
I'm not watching the Lakers anymore nowthan I would in season tournament nine.
I'm a basketball fan. I likebasketball for me, the official part of
the season, which not for them, but fish Like I said, it's
Christmas Day is kind of my unofficialofficial start right from me psychologically, yeah,
(10:03):
I'm already deep into college hoops.Dude. These turns because you get
canvas plan duke right up to startit. I mean, you know what
I'm saying, Let's go. Yeah, I just to me, we got
to offer it. And then Iread where Congress is trying to get involved,
the government's trying to get involved andjust pay players hand to hand cash.
Yeah, I saw that yesterday.Government, stay out of this.
You can't even run your own nose. We don't need you here, Republican,
(10:26):
Democrat or anybody in between. I'dhave to show you where a kleenex
is to put it in your nose, to get you to stop, to
learn how to run it and stoprunning it. And you want to tell
me you want to thrust yourself intocollege into now college sports and ruin it.
We're already on the verge of itgoing downhill. You need to build
a damn to prevent the dog onflow from breaking the dam when it comes
(10:46):
to hand in hand. Can youimagine a or sophomore and Matt Moscona yesterday
Muscana on our show we do inNew Orleans, he asked a great question,
Joshawn, wouldn't you if you're astarting quarterback and a really good one,
wouldn't you test the portal. Justtest it every year. I'm making
a million. Now, oh I'meleven and one, Colm Accord, somebody
(11:09):
pay me two million, because thetruth is, most of these guys are
never gonna play. They're not gonnaMost of the quarterbacks in this draft are
not gonna last five years in aleague league, right, you're thinking of
the capablelivest I'm talking about the majorityof these players are not going to play
five years in this league. Yeah, so you're capitalizing on them money.
I don't have a problem with it, but we're now gonna So if you're
gonna do that, that means aseventeen year old comes out. I can
give them five million dollars to cometo my school. What incentive is left
(11:33):
we're gonna be We might as welljust have a ten team season and forget
it. It's crazy, man,I just that's what PSFs for give a
fans a seat at the table. We don't do it. When you start
cutting prices and all that and youwant some incentive for the fan to go.
I already know the incentive for theplayer to go. He's making twenty
five million a year. That's hisjob. Once you come to their construction
(11:54):
job and do their work for themwhile they decide to take a load management
day. Yeah see what I'm saying. Yeah, there's a co worse she
to come to work. There's alsosome more government movement when it comes to
college football. Government, stay outof it. I don't need a Republican
or a Democrat telling us how torun the matter of fact, the nct
DNC two A and he is stayutof two. And another thing that I'm
pissed about, why is an athleticdirector? I still ask this, Why
(12:16):
the hell is an athletic director ortwo or three on a thirteen team committee
that their conference and their teams init? Well, I mean, could
that be the dumbest thing in theworld. Hey, you're the judge in
a court case, and guess whothe the defense counsel is, your son
or your daughter representing your other buddiesfriend who you think you're going to side
with? All but were ethics?Screw your ethics. They ain't got no
(12:39):
ethics. Yeah, and when itcomes to politic let's talk about that.
Let's talk about that. When itcomes all this, keep me out of
that, keep them out of sports. Why is the government trying to get
involved in college football, especially withthe College Football Playoff that's next on Sports

It is efficient, timely, thepower of localness. They're going to treat

You know you could say that froma distance if you're not a customer.

To tip off over on our sisterstation, News Radio seven forty k
TRH. What's going on in collegefootball and the government. Well, let's
start with the governor of Florida,Ron DeSantis Rollams. He slammed college football
(15:54):
and he wants to sue over thesnub of Florida State from the College Football
off He's spoke at a news conferenceto detail his proposed one hundred and fourteen
point four billion dollar budget for Florida, and he's also in that budget seeking
a million dollars to have Florida Statesue the College Football Committee. Even though
(16:17):
the championship will be decided months beforea budget is approved, the semi finals
are going to be on at NewYear's Day in the championship game played here
in Houston at Energy Stadium on Januaryeighth. There's one instance of it.
I think it'd be awesome. Well, just you know what, just give
that money, Ron, give thatmillion dollars to the NBA. They need
it for their end season tournament.Just give it to them. So the
(16:37):
players want to pay any more money, let's give it to that. Yeah,
good point. I don't listen tojust so. You allowed human air
to come into it, so you'resuing. So then if that's the case,
don't you need a here's the foursets of criteria, simple questions asked.
(17:02):
You're a guarantee if you go undefeatedduring the season win your conference championship.
Oh but there's six of them.Okay, then what's the next tiebreaker?
If you want to do that, then Michigan, Florida State, and
Washington are all in. Then wewould have had the Georgia Alabama Texas argument.
Alabama beat Georgia. That eliminates Georgiaeven though they are number one teams.
(17:26):
You're going that way. Texas beatAlabama, I guess they eliminate Alabama.
And then you say, okay, what was your biggest non conference or
your biggest Yeah, outside the conferencewin or even inside your biggest win against
the highest ranking team who had that, Texas, So that would leave Alabama
and George out. And then I'msure Alabama and Georgia. What is the
(17:48):
governor of Georgia now going to suealso because well, twelve one, but
we're the number one team in thecountry for three straight years? Can we
can we get involved in it?I don't listen, somebody's gonna be but
hurt every year. I am surethat they're there. I understand why Rondes
sant Is in Florida State? Arethey those kids got jobbed? But the
problem is under the circumstances, itwas just a bad season to get jobbed
(18:11):
because there was good football and theyaren't one of the best four. But
they did do everything they were toldthey had to do to be in in
a championship game, right or theyhave a chance to win the national title
and it was taken away from them. Yet who you going to replace him
with? Yeah? And I knowevery the most most of them are saying
Alabama. And I'll say it again, where are you more up in arms?
(18:32):
If Alabama's not in? After beatingGeorgia or if Florida State's not in
playing in the ACC and what they'vedone and they beat two SEC teams,
so you tell me, well, there's an argument that this did Florida State's
completely host But if the argument alsois the four best teams in the country,
is there really an argument? No, who's got a bigger argument on
(18:52):
the four best teams in the country, Georgia or Florida State Georgia? I
feel I do. I'm thinking Iput myself into the player's role and say,
what would that be like? Iwould be miserable today, thinking you've
got to be kidding me. Now, then I'd shift my focus. We're
gonna go kick George's ass to print. Now if they do right, if
all the guys play and they goin and hammer Georgia after being fourteen point
(19:15):
dogs, guess what. Guess what'sgonna happen. It's going to be even
a louder roar. Now if yougo in there, and now, if
you go in there and get yourass kicked, do you know what the
excuse is going to be. Wedidn't have our we didn't have out exactly,
we didn't have Jordan Travis. Thesame things that they're well, why
doesn't matter, It doesn't matter whothe person else. We won in an
ugly fashion, that's fine. Butin truth, if you're gonna tell me
(19:37):
you didn't have Georgia, Jordan Travisand we were, we would have beat
Georgia if it's a close game orif you get beat yet you don't want
to admit you didn't have them goinginto the final four. Listen, you're
limited without Travis, you just are. It sucks for Florida State, but
they are not one of the fourbest teams in America right now. But
they did post a score that mostother times it would be they'd be worthy
(20:00):
of getting in and being in thisThey're already worthy. They just unfortunately had
the wrong season or the wrong timingin this season to get in. They
needed a Texas just two losses. They needed Alabama playing for the SEC title
game with one loss, and theyor with a second loss somewhere along the
line. It just was unfortunate thetiming for them, and they played their
(20:22):
ass off. They'd have nothing toapologize for. But I don't think they
They're going to have to get overand keep government out of the college football
st if anytime they get in,it doesn't make it better. Yeah.
Now that you've got you know thisinvolved on, it shifts my mindset to
something you said earlier in the firstsegment is when you look at this college
(20:42):
football playoff committee, you talk aboutthese athletic directors. I'm just going to
go through a couple of them.Chris Alt, former head coach at University
of Nevada, Yep. When yougo to Mitch Barnhardt, he is currently
the athletic director for University of Kentucky. Yes he is. Okay, So
there's one Boo Corgan a D.He is the a D. Fansis state.
(21:07):
You have Chet Glad Chuck US NavalAcademy a D. Let's go down
to Jim Grobe, former coach atWake Forest. He is a retired yep,
bay he coached at Baylor Wake Forest, Ohio. Okay, Mark Harlan,
(21:29):
Let's see what he does. Oh, by the way, he's the
University of Utah athletics director. That'sjust a couple. How is that gonna
be? Like? How do theycome together? And again I still think
they did. I still think theygot in the correct four into this playoff.
You can still make an argument forwhat's his name? Kirby smartin Georgia.
(21:49):
You could also make an argument, obviously with Forida State. What is
this is this? How do yousay this is a war Day ward Ward
manual. He's the athletic director forthe Michigan Yeah, there's like four athletic
directors involved in there and coaches. You're crazy? How many people in the
Ice States? How was subjective?Three hundred plus million in the United States.
You're telling me, you're telling mewe can't find thirteen non ads or
(22:12):
former coaches for a thirteen person committeethat no football. David Sailor, director
of Athletics Miami of Ohio. There'sanother ad. The reason why, now,
listen, there's only one reason whyI'm okay with him, although that
is because his team may't ever gointo a national championship and they're in a
completely different class, so he's thereshould be no unless he's doing it for
(22:34):
the state of Ohio, there shouldbe no bias for him. Jean Taylor,
Kansas State, Yes, athleg director. Why is he in it?
I'm not saying they're not smart. They do a great job run their own
universities. Why in the world arethey on a committee to select the best
teams in the country when it's naturalto favor your own conference and favor your
own team if they're in the hunt. Oh, Sean, But it's all
about ethic. You save that, you know what, You can save the
(22:56):
moral high horse for somebody else.I'm not even allowing it to be away.
Well, Sean, they took anOh yeah, well so do a
lot of people to do the rightthing and to be honorable. No athletic
director at a Power five school shouldbe voting in a thirteen person committee for
this. None. I don't careif you're the smartest guy since the since's
what's that hawking guy? What's StevenHawkhawk? You could be that smart Guess
(23:18):
what I'd be that smart high IQfootball. Go go find me a Vegas
gambler, go the aligne cetter inVegas. Go grab me a former player
that's played at a small school.Go find go that's out of it,
that's not in a Power five Gofind me. Listen, go find me.
I can find you thirteen smart menand women that are football fans that
(23:40):
study it that aren't affiliated with anybody. Well, Sean, they probably went
to school. Yeah, if theywent to Miami of Ohio. I'm not
real worried that they're going to chooseOhio study over it. That doesn't concern
me, right, I just Idodn't understand it. I just named six
of them. That's half of thethirteen. Yeah that's crazy. Yeah,
well, how do you get toobject from that? You don't. They'll
(24:00):
tell you that you do, andwe're supposed to believe it. Don't buy
it? Now? What if?What if what happened? You know?
No, I'll say, what ifsomebody would have stayed up in that room
and said, Michigan, your schedulesucks? Yeah? Right, thirteen?
And oh you're like, dude, what did you do more than Florida State?
Right? You beat Ohio State? They beat two SEC teams? What
would but what would you do?I mean if they wanted to did you
do right? Michigan? And youalso supposedly cheated? Right, Yeah,
(24:22):
that's what I was gonna say.And the athletic director citer room. You
guys don't even belong. Matter offact, let's run you out. What
would that athletic dress said, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa? What are
your coach guts are spending? Forthree days is an auto didn't you admit
cheating? Didn't the deal? Whathappens if Ohio State was right there to
try to get into the final finalfour and you got a University of Michigan
athletic director right there, you needto tell me that he's going to make
an objective vote somehow Ohio State.I mean, I mean, and I
(24:45):
think Michigan belongs to mis Center studBut you can make the argument somehow they
got a hall pass. They did. I mean, if you if you're
tied, all things being equal, and you say it's Florida State, and
let's just say it came down ofFlorida State Michigan for the hell of it.
You're saying, okay, quality ofwins, let's go through that.
But then you're also saying, waita second, Now, three of those
wins are in question, or atleast the three game suspension tells us they
(25:06):
are. So we're going to stripyou one of those. Guess what Florida
State's automatical anti states in there? You go, Michigan did get a hall
pass, and their schedule suck completely. They're scheduling and I believe they can
do them the whole thing like theyall can. Michigan's a great team,
but if you really want to goto it that way, and the Michigan
ad and they're look at him andsay, dude, you step out.
Your team doesn't belong in this becauseyou already apparently took the suspension. So
(25:27):
something's not right, right, Yeah, So what if we took one of
those games away from them? FloridaState would be in and nobody from the
Big ten would right, just ahunch they did get a hall pass.
Think right, Let's keep talking collegefootball. What is this proposed new subdivision
that's going to pay college athletes? That's next Sports Talk seven ninety all right.
Men's T Clinic men'st Clinic dot comis where you go guys, Hey,

part of that. Whether it's mentalhealth awareness as we went through in November,
prostate awareness fellas, go get itchecked. It doesn't take much to
do a PSA and go get aprostate check. Better to thank you now

into Men's Tea Clinic one of fiveconvenient locations. Let's let them normalize this
testosterone. If it's just as simpleas normalizing testosterone, don't you want that
life back, Get out of lowergear the life you deserve quote waiting around.
It's a year round thing and it'ssomething that takes a lot of attention,
(26:53):
and Men's Tea Clinic can help. The conflict is low testosterone. The
answer is right there, Men's TaClinic, Min's T Clinic dot Com nine

I wonder if it stopped this worldlike it did. Rockets back in action
tonight taking on the Oklahoma City Thunderseven pm tip off. You can hear
all that action over on our sisterstation, News radio seven forty kt r

with you. The Red Sox trade, Alex Dugo to the Yankees astro signing
a backup catcher, Victor Carrottini, switch hitting catcher. We'll talk about that
(27:53):
later on the show. Talking collegefootball here on the Sean Salisbury Show.
All right, what is this hnew proposition by the NCAA President Charlie Baker.
It's a new subdivision that will payathletes via a trust fund. Under
(28:15):
this plan, you would have anew competitive subdivision whose schools would be required
to provide significantly greater composition compensation excuseme, compensation for their athletes than current
association rules allow. Within the frameworkof Title nine, the Federal Gender Equity
(28:38):
Laws. Schools in this new groupwould have to invest at least thirty grand
per year into an enhanced Educational TrustFund for at least half of the institution's
eligible student athletes. The hell wegot going on here? Tell me all
(28:59):
that again, right for now.The particulars of how and when athletes would
be able to access these payments wouldbe left up to the schools, and
the schools not only would be allowedto pay athletes amounts greater than thirty grand,
they also would be able to providepayments to more than half of their
athletes. Yeah, okay, Isaw that yesterday. I what let me
(29:23):
ask you this, what would happenwith this? And I'm glad you brought
this up. What would happen if, in fact, the NC two A
and the powers that be jumped inhere and said, here's the rules.
Now, we're not in nils illegalagain. What they just let's say they
one hundred eight years back against itand put it. I'm talking about stop
(29:45):
this slope completely. Said, youknow that if you sell Jerseys a certain
thing, you do this. Butthey I'm talking about limited to where you
couldn't touch some money while you werein school. I know they're talking about
putting the trust form me you getmy put Yeah that they went instead of
enhancing more and giving them more opportunitiesto make money. What would call it?
What would happen to college sports ifwe all of a sudden said no,
we tried, nil done, wedon't like it the end. The
(30:07):
college football players don't have a unionyet. That's coming. Yeah, you
talked about that college athletes, that'scoming. But all this player empowerment crap
that we give them all. Iunderstand giving these kids an opportunity to get
paid for their talents the right way, not hand to hand cash. But
what if they decide, you knowwhat, the only way to stop this
because we can't control it, regulateit kind of halfway is we're going back
(30:30):
to the old school way. Youknow, there is no pay for play
or we're not doing this. There'sno namage like collectors or and if you
do, you're gonna you're the suspensionsare going to be through the roof.
You tell me, what would happenis the high school senior, you're still
going to show up and play?Sure is what's he going to do?
Not play? They're going to play? Then the scholarship and all that becomes
(30:52):
important if they what if we hada hard liner come and say no,
no, no, that's not theway it's going to work anymore. We're
going back to the way it wasfive years ago or twenty five years ago.
Well, you can't go back intime to do it. What if
they did? I'm just saying, what if you're a high school recruit,
oh, sean, that would promotecheating? Or really, as if we're
not cheating more? Now did weeven want when it was illegal? So
(31:15):
you tell, what would they doif you're a high school recruit. Youre
just gonna quit football because they're basketballbecause they didn't play it? Or are
you going to then fight for legislationto say we can leave high school and
go to the pros? Have atit. When you're seventeen, there's some
grown ass men now playing high schoolfootball. Pop on into pros and watch
what it's like. After about threepractices, you'll be like, I think
I want to go back to collegy. I don't need this ass whooping on
(31:37):
a regular crisis. So I amnot prepared. Yeah, you think physically,
mentally, emotionally for anything else.So oil sewn basketball players could Yeah,
because basketball plays aren't taking an elbowto the throat or a punch to
the face for sixty five plays everysingle friggin day. Yeah, I don't
get the lineup and take a twentyyard run start and have Shack hit me
in the back. Okay, ifyou did then, basketball, it'd be
(31:59):
different. That's why the eighteen yearold put the ball in his hand because
it's a space playing type game. This He ain't got no space, buddy.
So what if we did that.Oh, you can't do that to
the kid. What's the kid gonnado? Take away a scholarship? You
want to come to school, You'regonna come to school and you're gonna play.
And when you're good enough, you'llgo get paid. If you sell
a few jerseys will pay you atthe end of your graduation class, whether
(32:21):
you graduate or not. When you'regraduating, class is done. And if
you're not working towards graduation, thatmoney's not yours. If you're not taking
steps, meaning the proper amount ofcredits during fall and doing all that.
And I'm not even gonna make youkeep a GPA. If your GPA's over
two point zero, yourl whatever itis, then you can you know what
I'm saying. You get your moneyat the end. Do these kids even
(32:43):
care about scholarships anymore because of themoney they're making. Dude, I remember
it was like the most coveted thingwas to get a scholarship offer. I
remember the first one that I gotin high school was a book scholarship.
Small, but I was like, damn greatest thing ever. Holy, I
just got a scholarship offer. Yeah, I was jacked. Do they even
care now because this money that they'rethat they're about to make. Now here's
(33:04):
the problem. Here's the thing. There's gonna be some really good players I'm
gonna make a diamond name image youlike this money that are really that are
the best player at their high school. They're going to get a scholarship.
And while it's bummer that they didn'tget, there's still plenty that are just
getting a scholarship. And there's morethat are just getting a scholarship than they
And when people say, well,it's a free education, no it's not.
They had to earn it. Thosekids busted their ass with their talent
to earn that scholarship. But mostof the players in college sports aren't getting
(33:30):
name image you like this money. It's it's probably ten percent getting ninety percent
of the money until you get somebodysaying to everybody University Utah by he's getting
a car Carr. We're giving itto everybody, all right, But for
the most part, those guys aren't. So the scholarship still does matter to
most because most families can't afford afour year education, especially at a private
school in this in this landscape, they can't. So yeah, hell,
(33:52):
I couldn't have gone to USC privateschool. Dude. No, I've been
going to like San Diego State instate school, living there, going to
school and trying. I've gone toSouthern Cow. My parents couldn't afford it
that no matter what right, nomatter how good my grades were Tescara,
they couldn't afford to send me thereif it was if it was twenty thousand
a year. You know what I'msaying. Scholarship meant everything to my because
I couldn't have gone so like most. But yeah, I just wonder what
(34:15):
would happen if all of a suddenthey flipp the script on. Say you
guys have had your two years runwith all this transfer portal days are over,
you transfer twice, you're sitting outand no name imaging like this.
If you sell Jerseys will give itto you when you graduate. If you're
working towards graduating, you're not gettinga dime. They're still going to show
up and play. It's like aIt's like a sneaker person, the sneaker
who's getting uh, you know, getting paid twenty five million dollars to wear
(34:37):
a shoe. If you decided todo away with all the endorsements on shoes,
let's just say they did that too. You're not getting paid to spawn
to to wear shoe. You're gonnayou get all the free shoes you want
can get paid. Are the NBAplayers still gonna show up and play?
Oh yeah? But the difference isthey got a union. They'd fight it
right College sports that college sports needsone if you want to battle it because
(34:58):
the NC twy can run rough shotof you if they want. But my
point is is that what would happenif you flip the script and went back
old like like they're trying to dowith golf balls. They're trying to go
back to old school golf balls wherethey take away the distance from these guys
and bring shot making back in.They're trying to damn right they are.
They don't want the well I said, good it's the amateur. We want
it as far as we can. They're going to they're trying to regulate golf
(35:20):
balls, dude, and we're usedto be the square grooves on the clubs.
Get rid of those the golf ballswhere it doesn't that they're trying to
regulate where you don't get to hitat three ninety downhill and with no wind
or four hundred yards, Well thenyou better start regulating the drivers what those
are made out of? The ccsand however, right they're trying to do
that. They're trying to turn backthe clock on time. Are we going
to do that here too? Well, so my whole point is or hold
(35:44):
that. Yeah, So a topicthat I want to talk about with this
stuff is they're bringing up all thisregulations or not regulations, but this new
subdivision and all this other stuff.Government getting involved, but no one's talking
about regulation on nil and transfer portal. Why not? That's what I want
to discuss next right here on theSean Salisbury Show. But let's also discuss

I don't know what's better seed todrop the mic and walk out after this
(37:43):
one. I don't know what's betterthis song or bbrex or the fact that
it's put my hat on backwards withthis cut. There you go, dude,
Yeah, your haircut. There's noquestion you're talking about your haircut.
I talk about with this fresh withhill, I'm talking hair in my hat
back Ah. I know you're nota half backwards now. I don't have
problem with yours. Sure you've explainedwhy you do it. That's good.
(38:05):
I don't have a problem with otherpeople do it. I just don't usually
do it. But I wouldn't leta kid on a baseball field at nine
do it. And I know youwould need a hell no exactly. I
don't let my kids wear bear pods. But can they sing like this?
Who can? You want to justlet this roll for the next eight minutes.
(38:28):
It's nothing, It's not a reallylong cut. It's actually pretty pretty.
There's a lot of quickness and brevityto this cut. Love that it
is pretty good though, because ifit's meant to be, it is meant
to be. Baby you let itbe. Hey, Rockets are back in
action. They play the thunder tonightseven pm. The tip Off News Radio

or d Just give me a softbed. That's it good, that's all.
Just a soft bed. Good withme. See how this thing goes.
Just came out in twenty eighteen. That's what it popped up in the
(39:12):
list, I believe, I guessso it popped up in the list.
Maybe we don't meant to be song? Yeah what a cut by Yeah?
I hit sure as hell did checkthat out? Time flies ud damn dude.
Five years ago, I really hopeagain, I hope Brian and Uh.
(39:36):
I hope Florida and Georgia can comeback together and be the line.
Yeah in a game, Tryan andTyler. Well, Florida ever beat Georgia.
In another game, Florida State andno Florida Florida probably No, that's
the game. Florida Georgia is theworld's biggest cocktail party. What do they
call Jacksonville? Damn right, theydo? They do? They should probably
have that game and have these guyssinging out at a tailgate party with BB
(39:58):
right there with him. All Right, I have a hypothetical question brought by
Sherman Naquin. He's a follower onTwitter because when I was on Matt Moscona,
we were talking about there's people thatare livid that Alabama's in ahead of
Florida State, and Matt Matt madea good point, goes men, let's
just play it. And it's reallyit's not a playoff if an undefeated conference
champions not in it. It's trulythe part that it's not the fact somebody
(40:22):
got hosed, because if Texas didn'tget in, they'd have been hosed.
In truth and and people and Mattmade a good point. By where I
disagreed a little bit is he talkedabout how Alabama just got by Auburn.
You brought it up to how Alabama'ssqueak didn't play well against was Central Florida
or something? But then doesn't somebodyelse Washington look horrible against Arizona State,
(40:45):
Texas looked ass against the University ofHouston. Everybody's got those moments they've got
so are we right? So dowe punish for an ugly winner? Reward
for an ugly win? Do youfound because coaches in the you know what,
they'll saying that we found a goodteam, find a way to win.
Yeah, even when you playing bad. So I get Matt, and
you're in my argument. I do, But he brings up a good point
(41:05):
and we've kind we've kind of alludedto. But he makes the point.
What if Michael Pennix, Because there'sbeen some questions about Washington even though they're
undefeated, they did beat and youknow what's crazy, the Pac twelve voted
Bonnicks the Player of the Year orfirst team All Pack twelve. How is
Michael Penix beat him twice? I'mnot saying voting, but second. There's
(41:29):
no wow. I'm just that's absurd, exactly. And he beat him twice
and three times in a row now, dating back to last year, he's
beat him and outdueled him in thisone in the Conforte Championship and he finished
a second. That's crazy. Apparentlyeverybody loves Organs. Yeah, exactly,
Well regardless, and there's right,Bonix doesn't have to apologize, but Michael
(41:50):
Pennocks might deserve an apology. Sothat point, And and Sherman brings up
a good point because we talked aboutit. I talked about it with with
Matt yesterday and in New Orleans Isaid, he said, Sean, we
were talking about without Jordan, ifJordan, if Jordan Travis, Travis was
so important to Florida State, whichhe is. Uh huh. Somebody made
(42:12):
this point, Sherman didim. Butyesterday, why isn't he if he's that
valuable a player to Florida State's successthat without him they suck. Why isn't
it at the Heisman banquet? Yeah, good point. Why he makes a
good point, right, if he'sthat valuable, but we know how valuable,
and he was extremely valuable to them, they're bigger than just the quarterback,
(42:35):
but it does matter with the optics. What would have happened if in
quarter two Michael Pennox blows out hisankle and can't play in the national title
game, yet they still go onand win. They're unefeated back twelve champions.
What Florida State's unefeed in their quarterback? He's in the same category.
Where do you where's the lion? What if JJ McCarthy pulls a hamster and
(42:57):
can't play in the final? Imean, I'm talking about Yanks and hamstring
out in the second quarter and theygo on in beat Ohio State. Does
Michigan get the same treatment as FloridaState did? What about? Uh?
Okay, here's from now we're judgingbackup quarterbacks. Where they transferred from how
much? Now imagine now imagine Texaswhen yours gets hurt again, arch Manning
comes in? Not not what's theirother backup? Harper? No, not
(43:22):
Thomas, not Malik Willis last name, my gosh. But anyway, what
if arch Manning comes in and leadsthem to a victory therein it's arch Manning.
That's exactly just like we said.Yes, he's making three million,
he's hadn't even played yet. Justlike we talked about in Steven A.
Smith, this is his on pointas it gets. You're telling me that
if the Florida State Murphy Murphy thereyou go. You're telling me if the
(43:45):
sadly enough, because he's a goodplayer at highly and we got this arch
Manning thing hovering over him. Yetthat guy earned the backup John last spring,
right he beat out arch Manning. Is that we're sitting here having the
conversation about this event, and StevenA. Smith made a good point.
I want you to think for asecond about Deon Sanders at Florida State.
(44:05):
Would they be in the play Theywould? That Affleck commercial would be weird
because Nick Saban's team would not havegone no SEC champion. Nobody has some
balls to do that. But pointbeing is J. J. McCarthy goes
out, backup comes in. Wouldthey still be in? I guarant ask
to you they would. Arch Manningcomes in first Quinn yours and he can't
(44:27):
play in the championship game, gethurt. I'm talking about in the national
title run playoff, and he getshurt in the in the Big twelve championship
game, and Arch Manning's going toquarter. Oh, not only will they
say they're putting texts in they wanthim in? Why arch man arch Manning
exactly, And it's human. Ofcourse, it comes into play if Deon
Sanders was coaching with his energy andwould he brought to Colorado, they got
more pub than probably three of thefour teams in the final four, honest
(44:50):
to god, all year long, and Florida State out. If he'd have
been there doing what he does, bringing that energy and going on all the
shows, the committee wouldn't have theball to keep Diane out of no way,
no way, So Florida State thebiggest argument. Make that argument.
J J. McCarthy, Michael PENNOCKXand Quinn Ewers all get hurt or Milroe.
(45:12):
We saw how bad Alabama was whenMilroe wasn't playing right. If mil
riff they beat Georgia and Milroe yanks'sankle and has a high ankle sprain in
out till January fifteenth, is Alabamastill in the thing or is the optics
difference because it's Alaxabama and Nick sabanBingo, And you saw how pivotal Milroe
was in the win against Auburn. The deeper you go into this, the
(45:34):
more you realize Auburn bent over andgrabbed their ankles. I mean al Florida
State Dept. Over had to grabtheir ankles in this. Yeah, because
they got railroaded. There is noquestion, no doubt. Yeah, let's
keep talking college football, all thesedifferent transfer portal, nil government getting involved.
Why has no one talking about regulationfor NIL on the transfer portal?
That's next as we headed to theseven o'clock hour here on the Shawn Salisbury

is listening, and he could.Uh, he would also vouch for Victor
Quarantini's OPO power because he's a switchhitter, Victor, not like you,
but a switch hitter right right right? But who is you know? Yeah
again, yeah, but who's countWho's Who's what's his? Victor Karantini?
Victor Quarantini. He uh, henot only a catcher, he also owns
a couple of restaurants. He doesin New York City, correct, Yeah,
(47:49):
a couple of barber shops maybe, yeah? Yeah, good? Yeah
da right, that's what I wasgonna go with a dry clean, that's
for sure. Yeah, and uhPop possibly is a chef on the side,
could be with the day you know, you get that name, think
about it. Hey, where areyou going to go to dinner? Carotenis
has a ring. I bet yourson knows him, being an executive chef.
There you go, Carotenis. Ilike it. I don't know why
(48:12):
anything about it. Hey, you'regoing to Quarantine's, dude, that's the
whole Oh okay, No, no, we're not going to Karantini's. We're
going to the wrong area. We'regoing to big mouth what is it,
big mouth, big mouth barn grill. But yeah, that's right. You
got big burritos for and big bigburrows and big Hamburgers. Everything is bigger
at Susi's. Susi's, uh,big mouth barn grill. Man who owns
(48:36):
that Suzi? Oh you mean Suzifrom from Esco? Yeah? Yeah,
oh man talking about the come upway? Oh yeah, man, that's
all right, that's that's I knowwhy I went that way with that.
I don't know Karantines, right, and you went right to my my peek
peeps. Yeah, I don't knowmaybe because were talking about on the walk
in I be hurt. You dodo you put the Italian world on my
on my Hispanic peeps, and Imean esco one and the same. We're
(49:00):
right, We're all all you know, it's all love together exactly. There
you go, even Tripley. I'mglad Tripley's here this morning. Hey,
what's up. I don't really knowenough about I don't know anything about this
Ken. Now we're gonna talk. No, I've got some details in front
of it. Do you know?Did you know who he was? No?
I had no idea. I haveno idea, no clue, no
clue. I don't say I checkout of baseball obviously, because baseball for
(49:21):
me is year round. Uh beinga coach, and obviously we work here
at Sports Talk seven. I needthe home of your Houston Astros. But
during this time of the year,I like to focus on, I don't
know, decorating a Christmas tree.Uh you know what's it called? Getting
all the treats and things like thatfor this time of year. So yeah,
when they said Victor Karantina, Iwas like, I don't know who
that is. So we'll dig intohis uh, his career. He's thirty
(49:45):
years old, switch hitting catcher andhe also plays first base. Nice like
guys who are versatile, Yeah, versatile, versatile. All right, let's
keep talking college football. So wewe talked in the first hour Rond Santas,
Governor Florida, wants to sue theHe wants Florida State to sue the
college football Playoff, putting off somemoney in a proposed budget. We talked
(50:08):
about this new subdivision that would payplayers thirty grand or more via trust fund.
So a couple of things there. We know how rampant the transfer portal
is right now. Nil money isflying around left and right. So with
all these lawmakers and these other youknow, groups wanting to get in on
this stuff, why has no onetalked about regulation on this transfer portal or
(50:30):
nil? They're doing it, butit seems to be late to the party,
and nobody they're talking about talking aboutit. But I don't see anybody
jump into the forefront and saying enough'senough. We got to stop this immediately.
The truth is, think how quicklyit was like you went to bed
one night, name image you likethis two summers ago? Yeah, hit
you and he's like what what thehell is this? It wasn't even we
weren't even prepared for it. Socan't you flip it the other way and
(50:52):
say, let's get let's regulate thisjust as quickly as we started it.
Or is it now the snowball isso big you just can't stop it.
It just can't stop it. SoI don't know, you know how the
Grinch? Did you want? Theoriginal Grinch? Where that thing it starts
to go, and that dog's runningand the thing, the sled goes by
him because it's so heavy, andit's just rolling downhill right right, yeah,
(51:14):
where it's pulling the dogs. That'swhat's happening. The player is now
pulling the adult. The player empowermentis now pulling and dictating everything. And
and I got news for you whenit comes to eighteen to twenty two,
not that the some aren't grown adults. That can't that that cannot. Player
empowerment cannot dominate college college sports. It just can't. That's why it's not
(51:36):
amateur athletics anymore. It's amateur hourthough, right, I'll tell you that.
So I just it's crazy to methat we see all of this stuff
going on, but yet no onetalks about regulation. Do I think do
we think that the player should beable to make money off their name,
image and likeness? Absolutely? Butman, this stuff going on. I
(51:58):
think what ad E Houston at hdTW Houston, an iHeart radio station.

(53:28):
he could. Uh, he wouldalso vouch for Victor Quarantini's OPO power because
he's a switch hitter, Victor likeyou, but a switch hitter right right
right? But who is you know? Yeah again, Yeah, but who's
count Who's who's what's his? VictorKarantini? Victor Quarantini? He uh,
he not only a catcher. Healso owns a couple of restaurants. He
does in New York City, correct, Yeah, a couple of barber shops
(53:50):
maybe, yeah, yeah, good, Yeah, dry clatter, right,
that's what I was gonna go with, a dry cleaner, that's for sure.
Yeah. And uh, possibly ischef on the side. Could be
with the day you know you getthat name, think about it, Hey,
where are you going to go todinner? Carotenis has a ring.
I bet your son knows him beingan executive chef. There you go carrotenis
I like it? I don't knowwhy anything about it. Hey you're going
(54:13):
to Quarantine's, dude, that's thewhole bay. Oh okay, No,
no, we're not going to Karantines. We're going to the wrong area.
We're going to big mouth what isit, big mouth, big mouth barn
grill. But yeah, that's right. You got big burritos for and big
big burrows and big Hamburgers. Everything'sbigger at SUSY's. Susi's uh, big
mouth barn grill. Man who ownsthat Suzi? Oh you mean Suzi from
(54:37):
from Esco? Yeah? Yeah,oh man talking about the come up way?
Oh yeah, man, that's allright. That's that's why I went
that way with that. I don'tknow quarantine sound right? And you went
right to my my peek peeps.Yeah, I don't know. Maybe because
we were talking about on the walkin I be hurt. You do?
Do you put the Italian world onmy my hispanic peeps and I mean Esco
(54:58):
one and the same. We're allpeeps, right all you know, it's
all love together exactly. There yougo, even Tripley glad, Tripley's here
this morning. Hey, Triple what'sup. I don't really know enough about
I don't know anything about this ken. Now we're gonna talk. No,
I've got some details in front ofit. Do you know? Did you
know who he was? No?I had no idea. I have no
idea, no clue, no clue. I don't say I check out of
baseball obviously because baseball for me isyear round. Uh, being a coach,
(55:22):
and obviously we work here at SportsTalk seven. I need the home
of your Houston Astros. But duringthis time of the year, I like
to focus on, I don't know, decorating a Christmas tree. Uh,
you know what's it called? Gettingall the treats and things like that for
this time of year. So,yeah, when they said Victor Karantina,
I was like, I don't knowwho that is. So we'll dig into
his, uh his career. He'sthirty years old, switch hitting catcher,
(55:46):
and he also plays first base.Nice. We like guys who are versatile.
Yeah, versatile, versatile. Allright, let's keep talking college football.
So we we talked in the firsthour. Ron DeSantis, governor or
Florida, wants to sue the Hewants Florida State to sue the college football
playoff putting off some money in aproposed budget. We talked about this new
(56:08):
subdivision that would pay players thirty grandor more via trust fund. So a
couple of things there. We knowhow rampant the transfer portal is right now.
Nil money is flying around left andright. So with all these lawmakers
and these other you know groups wantingto get in on this stuff, why
has no one talked about regulation onthis transfer portal or nil? They're doing
(56:30):
it, but it seems to belate to the party, and nobody they're
talking about talking about it. ButI don't see anybody jump into the forefront
and saying enough's enough, we gotto stop this immediately. The truth is,
think how quickly it was like youwent to bed one night name image
and like just two summers ago, yeah hit you and he's like, what
what the hell is this? Itwasn't even we weren't even prepared for it.
(56:50):
So can't you flip it the otherway and say, let's get let's
regulate this just as quickly as westarted it, or is it now?
The snowball is so big you justcan't stop it. It just can't stop
it. So I don't know youknow how the Grinch? Did you want
the original Grinchhah? Where that thingit starts to go, and that dog's
running and the thing, the sledgoes by him because it's so heavy,
and it's just rolling downhill right right, yeah, where it's pulling the dogs.
(57:14):
That's what's happening. The player isnow pulling the adult. The player
empowerment is now pulling and dictating everything. And and I got news for you
when it comes to eighteen to twentytwo, not that the some aren't grown
adults. That can't that that cannot. Player empowerment cannot dominate college college sports.
(57:34):
It just can't. That's why it'snot amateur athletics anymore. It's amateur
hour though, right, I'll tellyou that. So, I just it's
crazy to me that we see allof this stuff going on, but yet
no one talks about regulation. DoI think do we think that the player
should be able to make money offtheir name, image and likeness? Absolutely?
(57:55):
But man, this stuff going on, I think what's more absurd to
you? The nil money or thetransfer portal? Uh? The transfer portal?
Player? Right right? You saidwhat's more important? You don't know
what what's what's more absurd to youright now, is it? Yeah?
Which which one's more out of control? Well, if they go with the
(58:15):
new to so to me, it'sa transfer portal because I'm all for the
player getting some remuneration for what theydid to get paid. I am.
I have no problem with that,But the way we go about it,
I can't pay a high school kidto go play for me in college.
I just can't do it. No, But the other side of it is
a transfer portal. Dude. Wegot a starters on national title type teams
(58:39):
leaving while their coach is still thereand just up and leaving to go either
get more money or you know,I'm tired of a house state. I
think I'll go try a different flavorof ice cream, even though we just
one. Just like that. That'sCan you imagine Dan Marino at pitt you
know what, man and I knowthat we're saying, yeah, well,
Dan would probably I love to getpaid. Yeah, I myer, I
(59:00):
would have loved it. But canyou imagine Marino with if name image like
this wasn't there, and all ofa sudden waking up and saying, you
know what, I just threw fourthousand yards I got my Johnny May or
jack it was a Jackie Sheryl orJohnny Major's was his coach. I think
it was Jackie. I can't rememberif it was Jackie or Johnny when Dan
was bit irregardless, but Danny wasthere and throwing in wakes up or lway
(59:22):
at Stanford wakes up and says, you know what, I just have first
team All American or I just ledmy team. We went to the Sugar
Bowl and played Penn State, orplayed Georgia and herschel Walker's team. I
think I'm transferring why Dan, eh, I don't know. I'd like a
I think that the red and blueuniform looks better than my Pit uniform,
(59:45):
my blue and you know, offyellow or whatever we call that mustard colored
I don't know, or spicy mustardcolor jersey at Pit, whatever it is.
So my point is is it themore absurd one, the more absurd
one is no doubt name image likenesswith dude. We had, like you
said, twelve hundred guys in thetransferport on less than twenty four hours out
of the season ended less than twelvehours, right, yeah, right,
(01:00:07):
So but the name image and likethis, I like the fact that kids
are getting paid. I don't likethe way they're doing it. And now
guys are just leaving to go getpaid more. This is a free agency
that's more crazy than professional sports. They have more latitude than professional athletes do
to leave and get paid. I'dstay in school if I was as long
as i'm If I'm not a topfive pick, I'm just stay in school
(01:00:28):
and keep getting paid making fifteen millionin name image and like the mid level
the four star guy who's kind ofa good player. As Matt Will said,
in order to go get a goodplayer, it's cost you a couple
million bucks. So we should beable to cut them right and trade them
and send them down the road.If they're going to do that, then
we should be able to cut collegeplayers say sorry, scholarship is no longer
(01:00:50):
good academic ry. Then you're out. Yeah you're out. Let's cut them
that way and watch out quickly thesystem changes. Yeah, be a be
a big change, that's for damnsure. All right, keep rolling.
We're gonna head to the stakeout nextright here on the Shawn Salisbury Show.
But let me tell you about Men'sT Clinic. At MEN'ST Clinic Dot com

I just feel like you're stuck inneutral. Well, trust me when
I tell you I was there.January February March were three of the hardest
months I think I've ever had asan adult. And it was just it
(01:01:37):
sucked, flat out sucked. Myworkouts were terrible. I had horrible brain
fog. It felt like I washitting a wall at around three o'clock every
single day, and I was justmiserable. Then I went over to Men's
Tea Clinic. I got my levelschecked and sure enough I had low testosterone.

(01:02:45):
you guys called I put on someway since my playing days. You shall
see Sean Solisborough troble. Now backto the Shan Solasborough Show. What a
knucklehead? All right, Sean? What are you hearing out there now?
The Salisbury's takeout Salisbury's takeout on theSean Salisbury Show. It's time for the
(01:03:10):
steak out. Here on the ShawnSalisbury Show, Sean Bryn and Triple the
Astro signed a catcher, Victor KarantiniRed Sox trading Alex for Dugo to the
Yankees, Rockets Thunder seven PM.The tip off tonight. You can hear
that on our sister station, NewsRadio seven. Rh all right for the
steakout question, I'm gonna keep it. In college football a couple of days
(01:03:35):
ago, on that bowl show andselection show called the Champion, the Selection
Show, playoff, selection selection show. That's it. Uh, Rhys Davis
and the guys had Eli Drinkwitz joinedthe show. He's the head coach at
the University of Missouri. They're playingOhio State and they're old game. And
(01:04:02):
he had a nice little jab andthis is what it sounded like. This
is Coach Drinkwich on with Rhys Davis. Hey, hey, guys, I
got a quick phone call. ConnorStallions beeping in right here. I'm trying
to get here, so I gottago. But but as soon as we
get done, you know, lookforward to competing against Ryan Day and we'll
(01:04:25):
go from there. Maybe you'll getsome help in that regard to always a
pleasure man, Thanks all for beingwith us. That's making the jab towards
Connor Stallions. Obviously he's the guythat's in question that did all the cheating
for Michigan and and so he likewits, makes that comment, makes that
(01:04:54):
jab. Obviously they're playing Ohio Stateand in the Cotton Bowl and uh joking
aside. I guess my question goesback towards Michigan football. How did they
get such a hall pass with everythingthat's gone on with them this season?
Jim Harbaugh was suspended early in theseason, he was suspended late in the
season. All the cheating allegations proofleft and right, and yet all they
(01:05:14):
got was a slap on the wrist. Do you know how the committee could
have said that, you could haveended this all this talk right now and
just dealt with it. Yeah,if they'd come out of that saying,
listen, we got two teams thatwe had three teams that are thirteen and
zero. One of them lost theirquarterback and still won the other team six
(01:05:36):
of the games. At two differenttimes this year, Jim Harbaugh has been
suspended. I'm just throwing this stufflike it whether we believe it or not.
And the most recent three are forcheating allegations at the Big Ten still
and the NCOA still may suspend JimHarball next year. Right, So that's
three games. Let's just say wedocked them one and at twelve and one
(01:06:01):
with their schedule, would they havemade the playoff? No? No,
you couldn't have taken them over atthirteen and oh, especially since they didn't
have a win like Alabama did rightover Georgia, I mean over Texas over
Alabama's my point, YEP, Sowhat if they just said, listen,
it came down to us. Itdidn't come down to Alabama, Texas or
Washington. It came down to FloridaState and Michigan. And the fact that
(01:06:25):
Michigan has been accused and we hadtheir coach had to be suspended for three
more games because these allegations so harsh. He took the suspension without fighting it.
Couldn't you make the case and sayit's just too much shaky ground.
We decided to choose the Florida Stateteam, which they had thrived without their
(01:06:47):
quarterback, and this team schedule wiseand three. I'm just saying what would
have happen? It would have beenas big uproar. If they'd have said,
you know what, we can't rewarda team who was coach was suspended
for cheating for three games. Whatwould they have done? That would have
been an uproar, that's for sure. Well what would you have would you
(01:07:10):
have accepted it and said fair enough? Or would you have said, now
Michigan belongs, who cares if theycheated the three games? What would you
have done? I would have said, yeah, fair enough, they shouldn't
be in because now that they're goingin and gonna go play if they win,
it kind of like when people goton the astros. You can't strip
that from there, right, No, you can't once not now that you've
already suspended them. Let him in, no complaint. You'd let him in
(01:07:31):
if you'd have suspended him, ifyou'd have said, no, we're not
even going to give you a chanceto win the title. Different story.
So my point is, would ithave been fair enough to say, well,
they did they really earn it onthe field. I'm just saying,
did they really earn it on thefield, because well, three of the
games they listen, I think Michigan'sone of the four best teams in the
country. Don't misunderstand me. I'vetalked about from the committee standpoint. And
(01:07:53):
if you'd have taken JJ McCarthy,he's hurt and off that team, what
do you do? Would that?Would Michigan have gone? If Pennix did
can't play in the final but theybeat Oregon? Would would would Washington still
have gone? What if you werefaced with that? What would you have
done? Well, it's the precedentthat was set without Jordan Travis didn know
you would have to keep these Basically, you're telling me, all things being
equal, if you're starting quarterbacks hurtand you got to play a backup,
(01:08:15):
you can't play in the championship game. That's what they're saying. That's what
they're saying. Okay, And justa little more on on Michigan. Their
schedule is such a cake walk.East Carolina, UNLV bowling Green Rutgers in
defense. So we say it's Imean, you know UNLV playing in their
conference championship this year. Oh goodfor them, But I know that's un
(01:08:36):
LV. But with Barry Odom, they they played, I think they won
nine or ten games this year,so while going four going into the Sea,
but it's still UNLV. In Michiganlooking the conference. You're exactly right,
but they did play in their conferencechampionship. Yet I do understand that
it's still UNLVI did. I mean, dude, look at these these these
(01:08:56):
this is such cakewalk. They wonfifty two to ten, over minutes,
fifty two to seven over Indiana, forty nine nothing over Michigan State, forty
one thirteen over Purdue. They beatPenn State. That was their first rinked
game, and it was in thesecond week in November. And they go
to Maryland ugly win against them,Ohio State, Iowa and Iowa can't score
on me and you and right tripley. Yeah. So my point is,
(01:09:20):
so Michigan still gets rewarded after asuspension two suspensions, right, but
that was from what the previous yearor the offseason recruiting or what have you.
Yeah, So my whole thing is, and like I said, I
think Michigan should be it. Butyou could see the argument, right,
Yeah, yeah, that's a completeargument. Yeah. Absolutely. The truth
is the only team you can't arguein the final four. The truth is,
(01:09:43):
I don't think you can argue Texas, but they do have a loss
and they played poor against Houston theone team you can't argue the thirteen and
oer in Washington. They beat organtwice. They took care of their business.
You could argue that they're Arizona State. Games they had, but it's
a win you'll have, right,so truth, you can make an argument.
And again the first six teams.Hell, if if Ohio State wanted
a bitch and complain, say weplayed this, they could there's we kind
(01:10:06):
of blew them up there. Theyonly lost one game. Yeah, yet
you lost one game, you're notin the point is that Florida State did
get host, but they're not oneof the four best teams. But would
J. J. McCarthy if hewasn't playing with Michigan still be in this
if the if the president that wasset then they should not be in.
If Quinn Years wasn't playing in archManning well was, Texas would still be
(01:10:28):
in. But you look at that, you look at their conference as the
Big ten, you look at thetech weall Texas in the Big twelve compared
to the ACC better conference this year. So yeah, on that President,
I think it's just a really goodpoint. Man. Fuck, we just
completely blew off the three game suspension. And we're back at it. So
I'm saying like that, like youmight like, the cheating had nothing to
do with anything. It hadn't likeit. It didn't even happen. So
(01:10:49):
you could get yourself a good argumentif you really wanted to with uh saying,
well, wait a minute, twothirteen to oh. Teams were without
our quarter, but they stole oursignals. I mean you could say that
if you would. Yeah, Michigango win it. I don't know of
the four teams in it, italmost feels like Washington's got the least chance
right now, watch them go winit. Pennix go Haywire. It's crazy,
(01:11:12):
all right, let's keep us Let'stalk college football. Willie Fritz new
head coach at University of Houston. What's he looking like for recruiting? That's
next on Sportslock seven to eighty.Oh. Also check this out. I

there you go my memoirs. Yeah, later on. Uh, in

off at seven o'clock. Let's getout to the fall line seven one,
three, two two five seven ninetyTom, Good morning, Good morning,
(01:12:56):
Hey guys. I got a startby saying it's been a great show this
morning because you get people to thinkabout things around sports that society is dealing
with. You know, we talkabout that third string quarterback that it won't
be a game a passion play forthe fans. Hey man, I want
to see that. I want tosee that third string quarterback come in and
(01:13:17):
leave their teams from Florida State toa national championship because I was that third
string quarterback that was waiting for theirchance. You know, there are thirty
two players on Sunday holding a clipboardon the sideline. That is the second
and third string quarterback. No matterwhat they're holding in their hands, they
(01:13:39):
still are the best one percent inthe world at what they do. And
that's what makes sports so great. It is a merittocracy. Now I'm going
to leave you with a quote andsay one more thing because I don't want
to get off top of that.I'd like to see you guys move the
show forward. That's what makes melisten to it. The worst thing you
(01:13:59):
can ever had, in my opinion, with someone from the government to say
these nine words. I'm from thegovernment and I'm here to help. That
is the fly in the suit. When you get that fly out of your
suit, are you still going toeat that soup? I don't think so
great show this morning, guys.Thank you Tom. I can't tell you
(01:14:19):
how great that was. I appreciateit. Time as well. Tom,
Thank you great, great And thetruth of the matter is you're not eating
that soup. And it's also thebiggest lie in the world when they say
I'm here to help. Yeah,we know that you're here to either pad
of pocket or disrupt somebody or something. That's on both sides. The biggest
narcissists in the world or in thatin that line of works, no question,
(01:14:42):
we need him in some cases forfor order, but sometimes they don't
even know how to restore that.I'm talking about the through the annals of
time, right. But Tom's exactlyright, And thank you for the compliment.
Tom. I just and I cankind of weave myself into understanding the
city. Not in college because Iwas a starter, but as a starter
and a backup both in the NFL. I would be high now. And
(01:15:05):
I know they don't care if you'reoffended as a backup, But if I'm
on scholarship, why am I?And I'm just given the opposite the point
counterpoint for Florida State. Do Ithink Florida State's one of the four best
teams in the country. I don'tthink Florida State's one of the four best
teams in the country, even withJordan Travis. Do I think they're one
of the five or six. Yes, And I think Jordan Travis is a
(01:15:26):
hell of a player. Yes.And as a quarterback, Matt Well,
you watch Quinn yours. If QuinnEwrs plays like that in the next two
games like he did this week,University of Texas is here a national champion.
Yeah. But I could say thesame thing for Pennix. You're not
going to get those kind of numbersfrom McCarthy. It'll be feet and legs,
and you're not going to get thosethrowing numbers from Milroll. All those
he has improved, but he canrush for a buck sixty on your ass
and wear you out because he's aboutas strong or as big as your linebackers
(01:15:49):
that are chasing him. Right,So I can go through the whole thing.
But with Florida State, just giventhe opposite, because this is going
to be a major dialogue and itwill probably take a rules committee to the
table this offseason somehow, some way. First off, get affiliation with schools
out of the committee athletic directors.Current athletic directors have zero business being on
(01:16:10):
a committee period. When it comesto electing the four teams, and a
lot of them were in a powerposition. Miami, o Ohio's ad I'm
okay with but Utah, Kansas State, Michigan, Michigan, North Carolina State.
Yeah, what stop it? Okay, So there's that, and that's
four out of the thirteen we justnamed, right, there is no question
(01:16:30):
that's four of them right. Soon the other side, but its Florida
State, Let's just give them aLet's make the argument in their at their
uh, in their favor. IfI'm on scholarship, why are you punishing
my team? I mean, whyare you punishing me? I know the
I know why they do it.But if you're Florida State, aren't you
coming up with Wait a minute, our backup practices regularly. We may not
(01:16:55):
look the same. But five rohe was the starter, lost his job,
got the starting job back five weeksafter that was playing out of his
mind. What if the back ofhow many times you've seen a backup come
in and started doing his job back? It happens a lot, though,
Yeah, I mean it happens alot and forces the other guy to transfer.
We've see it all the time. And while it may diminish your you
may not for two weeks. Getit, But isn't there a sign of
(01:17:17):
how good your team is if theycan survive without your starting quarterback. Doesn't
Florida State have that argument? Sobasically, you're punishing me saying I got
a guy on scholarship, but he'snot as important to the world as our
starter is. Right, your team'snot as good. But I could make
the argument about all four teams thatare in it. Alabama proved that they
(01:17:39):
couldn't throw up without when Milroe wasout of the lineup, they start somebody
else. We already know right now. I mean at Michigan. Now they
may have a high recruit. There'sbeen plenty of high recruits that justin fields
at Georgia. Remember he transferred OhoState. He was going to be george
starting quarterback, got beat out andtransferred. There you go a walk on
(01:17:59):
a former walk on. So pointis when Georgia starting quarterback left and Stetson
Bennett had to win the job ortook over for JT. Daniels, if
you recall, took over for thestarter. Did we at any point in
time say we're going to punish Georgiafor a backup? You know, we
found out in the backup, AndI haven't heard anybody make this point.
We found out a guy who wasthe MVP in four straight playoff slash championship
(01:18:23):
game for the biggest four to rowall four he played, and he was
the most valuable player on a teamloaded with first round picks on both sides
of the ball, in particular ondefense. So did we punish Georgia for
going undefeated and playing their backup friggingquarterback. I'm talking about their first national
title run. Did we punish him? No? Were they undefeated? Yes?
(01:18:46):
Was Florida State undefeated? Yes?Or we do the optics maybe look
a little different because Florida State doesn'thave six first or second rounders on their
starting defense. But they're a reallygood defense, right, So fancy me
this? Not only that Stetson Bennettwas the guy who had to leave school
go to some other place, Ernestkeep him come back and back right right?
(01:19:08):
And JT. Daniels transferred Messy toGeorgia to be the starting quarterback end
was got hurt, lost his job? Did we did we all of a
sudden say, can't take Georgia seriously? Got a backup quarterback? We didn
never found out about Stetson Bennett, never how good he is in the pressure
until he saw him. And StetsonBennett was a former walk on, yeah,
(01:19:29):
who took Georgia to a national title. And it wasn't just some hack
that through eight times. He wasthe MVP in the playoff, in the
final playoff, in the final rightthe four biggest games of his career.
It's crazy to think about. Sowe didn't punish Georgia for that? No,
sure didn't. Let's get a quickcall in before we get to break.
Nick, good morning, Hey guys, victim of our call. I'm
(01:19:50):
an SEC guy, but I meansgot hosed. I think if if Notre
Dame went undefeated and they won theirACC schedule, we wouldn't have this conversation
because lobby and salivating all over.Notre Dame only win the game is to
play the ACC. You know. For State played LSU early in the season.
That was a great game. LSUwas a decent team. Texas almost
(01:20:13):
lost like three games that were veryvery close that they should have won.
It just doesn't it doesn't add up. I think it's that's a horrible president.
And unless your name is you know, Ohio State or you're some some
big, big market team that's gonnagonna bring in revenue. I think we're
gonna see more teams getting hosed goingforward. Hey thin, real quick,
Nick, think about did Nick go? Nick? Think about this? And
(01:20:38):
you make such a great point, and we'll go to break is and you're
right about Notre Dame. And I'mnot dogging Notre Dame, but they have
that Nick Saban type of it.There's a history there. If Hartman takes
him to the national title, Imean to the to the champion ACC champions
Sam Harmon and they lose, hegets hurt in the game, but Notre
Dame goes on and wins and goesthirteen and oh yeah, it's Notre Dame's
(01:20:59):
going They are Notre Dame. Theyregardless of the backup r Right, it's
a good point, Nick, appreciatethe call. Man. Yeah, it's
it's because it's Notre Dame. Let'sjust let's just face facts. Florida State
got host. They did get host. They got flat ass host. Yeah.
But also in the same sentiment, they're not one of the four best
teams without Jordan Travis, but theydid get host Acc James and they went
(01:21:21):
underfeed and they didn't get into it. It's crazy to think about. Yep,
it's it's nuts. H man.Let's look at some of these bowl

(01:23:36):
what's the title this? He says, most people are good. I believe
most people are good, dude. Most people are Most people are depressed.
Listen to this. I think mostpeople are good people. Lucas Bryan bringing
us back on a Western Wednesday.Yeah not uh, probably not the one
(01:23:57):
that you want to drink whiskey toon this one. You know your kids.
It's a Christmas holidays and most peoplegood. You want anybody to treat
your kids? And you right, you know what I'm saying. How's your
feet? Did you bring kids intothis? Because when you're he mentioned kids,
and right right when I said it, you mentioned kids. But you
know people you want most people aregood, don't you want when you're away
when you raise your kids, youwant to be good to your kids too,
and your kids will be good tothem. So they go on and
(01:24:19):
everything's peaceful and happy, right you? You just say F them kids?
Exactly what I say? You reallydo I do? You're an F them
kids guy? I am. You'llgladly wear like if you were endorsed,
like on a golf course, ifyou're a PGA Tour player and your shirt
said F them kids, you'd wearthat shirt when you am I getting paid
for it? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, oh yeah, this is like
(01:24:40):
you and Crocs. If Crocs paidyou, you're wearing the Crocs hate crocs?
How much you paying me? Lovethem? Look? Love them?
Love hey? Like it? Loveit? Okay? Love it? Oh?
Okay, yeah, oh you sayit? Could I be bought?
Now? Put me on that committee? Us see would have gone to the

but you would wear if you wereendorsed by them? You know, I
gotta live it it to what whatbrand I can't stand? Yeah? Oh
(01:25:21):
dude, had a lot of themthat I wouldn't use. No, you
would if you were endorsed by well, I would. I've never put a
pair of crocs on my feet, and I don't begrudge me. I know
doctors and medical people when they're comfortableon your shoes on your feet, I
would never wear a pair of thosecrocs. I won't even put them on
(01:25:42):
there. If you're past the ageof six, you shouldn't wear them.
The needless here there in the medicalthere there are outliers medical those doctors on
their feet all day somebody who's ontheir feet all day long, and it's
good. I don't know what thecushion is in them, but no do
I believe you should be going toKirby Ice House with with with joggers and
a pair of crocs. I know, you look like a friggin idiot,
do you really? I can't stopme though I know that's why I said
(01:26:03):
it. Do you realize I wantyou just turn your hat backwards while you're
wearing the crocs and joggers. Doyou realize there's a trend right now with
the younger generation. Yes, thatthey go to the gym in crocs.
And you know why they do itbecause they see it on TikTok, right,
and they think it looks cool. They wear pajama pants and crocs to
work out in, and they lookdumb. See it every day at the
(01:26:23):
gym, and they then they looklike a bunch of dumb ass. They
do look like dumb asses. Ifyou're grown, if you're over the age
of sixteen and you wearing pajama pants, it's like walking through the airport pajamas
and crocs at two o'clock in theafternoon. Get show your ass home and
put some sweats on. But thenagain, I really don't care how they
travel. We all want to becozy. I get that. Yeah,
And before people trip out, partof this is just hyperbolic tongue in cheeky
(01:26:45):
you're asking me for fun. I'venever put a pair of crocs on my
feet again, That's why I can'tcomment on how comfortable there. They look
comfortable. I just don't. They'rejust convenient, yes, to slip on
your three year old's feet, notyour thirty year olds. Okay, amas
that are like four inches too high? You know, you know the lookout
they walk in there? Do youthink they walk into because this is their
most efficient workout? Because it lookslike, Oh, I don't really care,
(01:27:09):
but I'm gonna go in and throwthe iron around and look cool.
They think it looks good. Itdoes not look you look like right,
looks stupid. That's why I'm surprisedthat you don't like crocs. No,
because he's smart. Oh he's wearslides. No. I never own a
pierod, never bought, never triedto buy one. Another thing that blows
my mind flops in December. LikeI mean, I love flip flops on
(01:27:30):
the beach with a pair of eitherone. But you don't like the beach
community that I am. The beachcommunity You kidding me? Beat? Ain't
that a beach? Is that Iand I'll put slides on. Yes,
they need to walk around a housewith socks. I get that, and
I understand the crocs in certain things. Your kid. You don't want to
keep tying up shoes at four. But I'm just forty yeah, right,
(01:27:51):
the walks into Kirby Ice House.I'm just using them because that's that's where
we were, right, yeah,is and just decided I think I'm gonna
throw on Well, Sean, they'recomfortable. Cool, they may be comfortable,
But I but if you're asking methat crocs, do I believe the
brand could buy me? Oh yeah, dude, I'll wear ugs with shorts
and seemed like the Ug the UGboots Uggs which with the fur. If
(01:28:15):
all of a sudden, I walkingcy out to Sean, we got a
big endorsement fee. I'll wear themtwice, right, whatever you want,
sockless or not, I'm in Sean. Why are you wearing Uggs in August
July the same reason a guy's wearingflip flops and shorts and forty degree weather
buying a sandwich that I saw theother day with open toed flip flop thongs
between your toe. It's forty twodegrees out in short. Well, he
(01:28:39):
may be hot, yeah, butit just doesn't look it doesn't look the
part, just like you shouldn't bewearing a canary yellow suit with a yellow
turtleneck to match under it in Decemberor November and gold no fastball. So
you kid, we kid, andI understand why people do wear them.
I just am not a Crocs guy, and I'm not a pajamas to the
(01:29:00):
airport and or the gym. ButI'm not the I'm not the fashion police
to tell them what they can andget wear. But you're asking me,
could I be for Crocs price?Yeah, yes, I absolutely can't.
We're gonna be a hundred grand andwe've got three pairs of Crocs for you.
One one are insulated with fur,the others are camo. And then
(01:29:23):
we got your regular pair of blacks. Do you have two more pair because
I prefer white, red, blackand green as well. Yeah? How
much? Hundred Probably too cheap.I need more than that you need.
I need a lower I need alittle upgrade. That's six figures. But
I'll put them Crocs on my feet. I'll I'll drink out of them if
that's what you want me to dothose. Crocs would probably be the largest
(01:29:45):
Crocs crocker. Yeah, there's noway. They probably have the custom make
them for your ass. That showsthat they care. Yeah, No,
I'm not, but I could be. Yeah. There's there's other products that
I probably wouldn't normally wear, butI would, you know, like Man's
Escape. Oh well if you're not, yeah, well everybody does that,
right. I bought one of therazors on Black Friday and I tried it.
(01:30:06):
You I don't know if you're probablyyou probably didn't reckoon, but you
see me every day. I hadsomewhat of a beard last week and I
went to go use it for thefirst time and just choped the hell out
of there. You had to cutit off. I had to cut it
all off. That'll hurt you now, and then I was walking around looking
like a toddler. That'll get you, I I but there's Yeah, there's
certain products that you could probably convinceme to wear, But Crocs is up
(01:30:28):
there. Crocs is the number onetop five for sure of products I probably
I am not. I don't wear, but I understand why others do,
and I can be bought. Yes, you know, there's like Cross also
have like like little medallion, medallionwhatever. What do they call like a
little ornaments dazzled? Yeah, theyand they decorate them. Now what are
(01:30:50):
they called? Like somebody's domina.Somebody's out there buying. Somebody's out there
buying them. I mean you've seensome of the way those yeezies. Look.
I have a couple pair of easies. Yeah, there you go.
Everybody's got their flavor. Okay,so yeah, I The things on crocs
(01:31:10):
that give them their distinct lookd arecalled gibbets. Yeah, you gotta love
a gibbet. I'll gibbets. Thehell is a gibbet. Gibbets are small
charms that snap into the holes onthe croc. Here's why I'm a great
You have got advertisers. Here's whyI'd be a great influencer for crocs all
over the world is because the greatestinfluencer. First you got to use the
product. But for somebody who wasa disbeliever and it didn't believe a second,
(01:31:34):
and you put the product on theirfeet and said just do this for
two months and then they became abeliever. That's who you want because they
know how to sell that product becausethey believe in it. It's not just
all you paid me. Oh youput in now, Sean, you got
to wear them. Let's go.Oh yeah, I'm sorry about pining for
a for a for a Crocindors. You've given the crocodis right there. If
(01:31:57):
they're wise, that's how you sellit. Somebody who didn't like it and
all of a sudden loved it becausethe product was that good. Yeah,
that's what you need. You know. What you need to do is you
need to if you look, firstof all, if you ain't crocking,
you ain't rocking. And then youput the crock into either two wheel drive.
If you're just kind of you know, put the witches the strap in
front if you're just hanging out.But if you want to get real,
you want to get with it,you put the crock in four wheel drive.
(01:32:18):
Put the strap behind your ankle.Oh is that the deal? Yes?
Sports, that's sports, baby, that's sports. Fact that you know
all about that concerns. And aswe get into the eight o'clock hour,
we're going to talk about what's goingon with the Jets because they're playing the
uh, the Texans this weekend. But when you put your croc in sport
mode. You hop in your brand, your classical vehicle, you do,
and you know, did you sawmy lipstick red one today? I did?
(01:32:39):
I did you got something? Yeah? Pop up there and that comes
out with I mean brand spank andknew like you came out of the box.
Did they come out of boxes orjust right off the truck? I
think just right off the truck ClassicElite Chevy Highway six. I went and
got my vehicle yesterday and that lipstickred truck, that silver od off the
charts. And I'm usually don't doperfect case in point, I usually don't
(01:33:00):

one you got. Oh okay, pretty cool. Got out of the regular,
you know, the regular and you'reblack and you're blue and they look
awesome. But this red man, thank you to Classic Elite Chevy Highway six.
Being part of the family is awesome. And if it doesn't say Elite
after Classic, it ain't us.The reason why you brand it like this
(01:33:20):
is because the Elite is for you, Elite pricing, elite customer service,
elite service department, but also eliteinventory. The pricing thirteen thousand dollars off
the new Silverados. I got oneand they're off the charts. At Classic
Elite Chevy Highway six, four thousandoff tahoes and suburbans, five thousand minimum

it's supposed to be. At ClassicElite Chevy Highway six. Then the customer

then obviously the elite inventory. Youheard me name all those vehicles there there.

(01:36:10):
Jets defense has not allowed a threehundred yard passer. That dates it back
to Week seventeen of twenty twenty onewhen Tom Brady did it, and I
look at I just pulled up oneof their games that they lost. They
lost to the Dolphins this season thirtyfour thirteen to a tongue of Ioloa threw
for just two hundred and forty threeyards. Can ce j Stroud break that
(01:36:31):
streak? Sean can question, isWillie if I said two ninety nine and
a half taking the over under thisweek, I'll take the under. I
was gonna say, I'd probably haveto take the un. I'm taking the
under. I like taking unders, but I would have to taken the under.
Yeah, I take the under.I mean, I don't know,
do we have an inclement weather update. Do we have any idea let me
(01:36:55):
get that. Not saying that matters. He played at Ohio State. It
was cold in Ohio too. I'mjust saying it could dictate how you're going
if it's winds blowing sat where theyplay East Rutherford in the meadow lands.
Yeah, the meadow lands pretty sureis what we call that. You'd like
to call it East Rutherford, NewJersey, Jersey, East Rutherford, New
Jersey. Al Right, here wego. The weather for this Sunday,
(01:37:21):
Ye ninety chance of rain. Windsout of the south southeast at fifteen to
twenty five mile an hour highest sixty. Oh. No. The temperature not
a problem. No, the raindepending on if it's a deluge course or
just a like the sprinkles. Actually, when it sprinkles, that makes the
(01:37:43):
ball more tacky and sticky and youcan grip it better. It's when it's
the deluge where it makes it hardto grip. Now sixty degrees forty degrees.
The wind is always the problem. And I've played in the Meadowlands and
they're in Giant Giant Stadium. Backin the day when parcels used to leave
the tunnel open and it was brutal. They loge it means a severe flood.
(01:38:04):
There you go, good word, thank you, thank you very much.
If you get the deluged, thenit's tough. Sixty degrees. So
you're talking about game in the fortiesand fifties or you know, fifties right
in thee it is. I'm gonnatell you, I'm gonna say no.
Although if it's not one of thosewhere you can't grip, but it's just
raining a little bit and the windsnot up. Even if it was thirty
five degrees, I'd have no problembecause to me, it's always an offensive
(01:38:28):
advantage when you get slight inclement weather. Why because you know where you're cutting.
They don't on defense, so youhave an advantage over them to prepare
for the cut and coming out ofa brake, so your acid and sitting
on grass or turf. But theother side of it is the worst of
them all. You give me aneighty degree day with twenty five degree wins
or a thirty degree day with nowins. I'm taking the thirty degree day
(01:38:48):
with no wins. As a quarterback, Yeah, give me the rain.
I can deal with snow, nobig deal. It that the cold weather
could care less played and all thatdon't care. It's when even if it's
eighty degrees, and it's even whenyou're throwing with the wind, let's say
it's twenty five to thirty miles, are not thrown with it. If you
don't get it right, the pointof the ball stays up and can fly.
So what do you do? Theone thing I try to teach quarterbacks
(01:39:12):
is with or against the wind, you don't change the mechanics how you get
to it, because what happens youstart to overthrow and try to drive it
through with your upper half instead ofyour lower half. Balls wobbling all over
the place. But driving it throughthat wind into the wind is important with
a tight spial because then the ball'snot affected as much. Right and with
the wind, if you don't geton top of it, what happens.
What's the natural tendency when you're downwind to short arm it or baby it,
(01:39:36):
so you don't get through the normalmechanics of finishing an extension. So
what happens balls are all over theplace, and then if you don't get
the proper finish, the ball sailson you and the points, especially on
deep balls, the longer the ballsin the air with thirty miles an hour
win, the more effect it's goingto have. Right, So what do
you do? Naturally, I'm goingto lower the trajectory with the wind.
So what happens now? If youdon't throw it perfect, it's missing.
(01:39:57):
So give me twenty five degrees,no wind. I'm all with some snow,
easy money. Give me eighty degreeweather and it's thirty miles an hour
win and it's swirling or going younever know with her against that that affects
football more than anything. Screw thescrew a little bit of rain and snow
at twenty five degrees, that's easy. It's the wind. I'm going to
take the under on three hundred yardstwenty five mile an hour wins gus up
(01:40:20):
to like thirty five forty is apotential for Sunday. Yeah, I'm gonna
take that's tip ball. Where'd thatball go? I can't believe it would
start it out in front, wentbehind? That's that's uh, let's see,
that's tipball interception action. If you'renot careful on both teams and you
got to be extremely accurate, whichCJ. Stroud is, give me the
under. Weigh six. Then hthe customer service. They're gonna pay for
(01:40:42):
the first five thousand miles of gasand you don't have to make a payment
until next year. That's customer service. And then obviously the elite inventory.

thirty degree day with no winds.I'm taking the thirty degree day with no
wins. As a quarterback, Yeah, give me the rain. I can
deal with snow. No big dealthat the cold weather could care less play
and all that. Don't care. It's when even if it's eighty degrees,
and it's even when you're throwing withthe wind, let's say it's twenty five
(01:45:30):
to thirty miles, not thrown withit. If you don't get it right,
the point of the ball stays upand can fly. So what do
you do? The one thing Itry to teach quarterbacks with or against the
wind, You don't change the mechanicshow you get to it, because what
happens you start to overthrow and tryto drive it through with your upper half
instead of your lower half. Ballswobbling all over the place. But driving
it through that wind into the windis important with a tight spial because then
(01:45:53):
the ball's not affected as much.Right, and with the wind, if
you don't get on top of it, what happens? What's the natural tendency
when you're down win to short armit or baby it, so you don't
get through the normal mechanics of finishingan extension. So what happens? Balls
are all over the place, andthen if you don't get the proper finish,
the ball sails on you and thepoints, especially on deep balls.
(01:46:14):
The longer the balls in the airwith thirty miles an hour win, the
more effect it's going to have.Right, So what do you do naturally?
I'm going to lower the trajectory withthe wind. So what happens Now,
if you don't throw it perfect,it's missing. So give me twenty
five degrees, no wind. I'mall with some snow, easy money.
Give me eighty degree weather and it'sthirty miles an hour win, and it's
swirling or going You never know withher against that affects football more than anything.
(01:46:36):
Screw the screw a little bit ofrain and snow at twenty five degrees,
that's easy. It's the wind.I'm going to take the under on
three hundred yards twenty five mile anhour winds gus up to like thirty five
forty is a potential for Sunday.Yeah, I'm going to take that's tip
ball. Where that ball go?I can't believe it would start it out
in front, went behind. That'suh, let's see, that's tipball interception
(01:46:59):
action And if you're not careful onboth teams, and you got to be
extremely accurate, which CJ. Stroudis give me the under on three hundred
yards. So let's see what CJ. Stroud's. But I don't think they
need to score. I don't thinkyou need to score thirty points in this
game to win. If you Ithink it's to get to twenty points,
twenty one points, twenty three points. I think you beat the Jets.
How do they Obviously you can't replacea player, but how are they gonna
(01:47:20):
have Obviously Nico Collins has played well, He's had some monster games. Noah
Brown coming back from injury last week, getting more accimated to being back playing
after a couple of weeks being hurt, but obviously out of having Tank Dell
is gonna suck, no doubt.Well, it's gonna determine a lot on
how a defense approaches your offense. Now they don't have to concern that.
(01:47:42):
But it's also it's a chance forsomebody to take over Tank Dell's spot and
elevate their game. And we've seenNico Collins at time, Robert Woods,
we've seen or wait on Metchi tohave that twelve catch one hundred and twenty
five hundred and thirty yard game. We've seen Tank Dell, We've seen we
said Brown, We've seen Nico Collins. It's been a lot of different people,
which is good, and it's goingto be incoming upon somebody else too.
(01:48:03):
If you're pound about Tank Dell, you won't be able to do what
you want to do. What I'veheard though, is the NFL is going
to dock. The Texans will winbecause they got to play a backup wide
receiver. That's what I heard too. Yeah, Florida State, Yeah,
got the same source, sources closeto me. So the point is,
well, Tank Dell here we aretalking. This is a rookie we're talking
(01:48:23):
about. He's been that good. But you know what they have proven to
me, at least in watching this, that the depth, the depth of
their receiving team is far better thanwe thought. It really is it is.
Yeah, And what do we gotstatus on Dalton Schultz yet? Yeah?
I think it's I mean, Ican get it for you real quick.
We have updated him today as Ilook up, look that up the
(01:48:44):
pass numbers. Passing numbers for C. J. Stroud right now said at
two fifty one and a half.I'll take the over, but not to
three hundred. So let's see four. Dalton Schultz, he's questionable for this
weekend, so not question could beBrevin Jordan. Brevin Jordan had a pretty
good little game this past weekend, but again he's not Dalton Shows. It's
(01:49:08):
gonna be interesting to see. I'manxious to see just how they do deal
without Tank Dell there and that whatthe game plan, how you dictate what
you're gonna do next. Listen, the environment itself is going to be a
little different than the Texans are usedto in New York. Yeah, Brevin
Jordan over the weekend last weekend, three receptions sixty four yards on four targets,
one of those being a twenty sevenyard reception. Again, Nico Collins
(01:49:30):
nine receptions, one hundred and ninetyone yards. Big, Yeah, one
of those beings they've had, they'vehad like Noel Brown and Nico Collins a
couple times receivers Tank Dell with bigmonster days. Normally if you go to
Minnesota, it's a big monster day. Who you think when he saw it's
Jeffers justin Jefferson here, it's beenlike, I don't know, it's one
of four cats that are catching ballsall over the place. So that's a
(01:49:50):
tribute to c J. Stroud andBobby Sloan getting to the right guy.
But this receiving corps far better thanpeople thought going in as far as depth
wise and the ability to deal inbig games. And they played in some
big moments this year and done agood job. We're talking about the quarterback
for the Texans and c J.Stroud and his passing numbers. Who the
hell is gonna play quarterback for theJets this weekend? Well they got rid
(01:50:13):
of one quarterback. What's the dealwith Zach Wilson. Let's discuss it next
on Sports Talk seven to eighty. This is the Sewn Salisbury Show and his
name is sure Sean really on SportsTalk seven ninety where not a lot.
(01:50:47):
I don't believe me when you knowit's Western Wednesday. Here on the Shawn
Salisbury Show. We had a requestcoming from k one of our lovely listeners.
She wanted to hear this triple Whatis this? Who is this is
Charlie Pride? No, sir, this is Dale Watson, Dale Watson,
(01:51:08):
Yes, sir, I lie whenI'm drink. Okay, you know about
Dale Watson, Sean, I don'tknow, but I don't about Copy to
America with Eddie Murphy and my guyArsene there. You know they're in the
what Yeah, when he was standingup there, you know, when he
(01:51:30):
was on the day he introduced thehe goes, yeah, Randy won.
Anytime I hear the name Watson, the first thing comes to my mind is
is Miranda Watson? Anytime I hearthe name Dale America, right, and
that the flick is the cut en. Every time I hear the name Dale,
I think of Dale Earnhardt Sr.You do r I p not to
(01:51:51):
be confused with Dale Junior or DaleJarrett. Yeah, you know anything about
NASCAR? Dude? Come on,dude, whatever man are you talking about?
You're talking I know somebody that doesthough. Oh who was our NASCAR
insider Jugs there is? Yeah, yeah, Juggalo Trey. You know about
(01:52:13):
Dale Jared Ray Campbell. But youknow about Watson, Randa Watson. We
gotta get that clip. But Iloved it. Great show. I'm talking
about underrated or is it properly rated? I think it's properly rated. Didn't
they have a second one? Yeah? Uh, properly they do. Not
any when did that come out?I don't know, but the first one
was pretty good there. It cameout in twenty twenty one, Coming to
(01:52:36):
America, A Nostalgic journey. Didnot watch that one? Not sure about
that one. All I uh talkingtexts here. They take on the Jets
this coming weekend. Is Zach Wilsongoing to start? We talked about it
yesterday. There was an Athletic articlethat went out that basically said that the
Jets were going to have a newquarterback start against the text not a new
(01:52:59):
quarterback. They're going to have adifferent quarterback start against the Texans, and
it could be Zach Wilson, butapparently Zach Wilson is reluctant to start.
Aaron Rodgers was on the Pat McAfeeshow yesterday. He always visits with Pat
McAfee and his group on Tuesdays, and he talked about the Zach Wilson issue
(01:53:20):
and that article and how it's moreof an organizational issue for the Jets.
And this is what Aaron Rodgers said, what's one of the rules whoever that
person is that thinks it's okay numberone to talk to anybody like that.
I don't understand what you get outof that. Number one. But number
two, what do you what isyour impetus? What is your motivation to
(01:53:45):
try and bury someone like that? And that's a problem with the organization.
You know, we need to getto the bottom of whatever this is coming
from and put a stop to itprivately, because there's no place in a
winning culture where and there's been thisis not the only time. There's been
(01:54:05):
a bunch of other leaks. Bigcity, a lot of reporters, I
get it, a lot of friends, I get it. Are that your
friends? No? Yeah? Yourfriends? Yeah, friends, They're not
your friends even if they are,Like, is that really what you want
to be about? You want tobe about using someone in the media said,
leak stuff to h in order forwhat to get them to put your
(01:54:25):
name hit it? Okay? Anyway, So on this article of The Athletic
and we talked about Zach Wilson apparentlynot wanting to start. Aaron Rodgers says
that it's a organizational issue they've gotto get figured out. And I asked
(01:54:48):
you yesterday what's going on with thesejets and this organizational issues? When you
say organizationally, he said, somebodyleaked it, yes, he said.
And then there's been also multiple leaks, not just about Zach Wilson, but
other things. And they say he'sgot it. They got to get it,
they got to get a hold ofit. But he's he's right.
I don't understand why we're so Imean, I guess everybody's looking for an
(01:55:15):
angle. We're at the point nowwhere media is creating news not reporting it.
And I don't know why. Ifyou're in the organization, what what
purpose does it serve? I don'tknow. If somebody comes to you right
now and says to you, hey, I'm not sure Zach wants to start.
I heard from the organization. Areyou going to quote that and put
(01:55:38):
it on here? No? Orif they if somebody came and said,
you know what, Davis Mills hadthe opportunity to start this week. He
doesn't want to start. He's afraidto start. If you if you just
heard that through a source and thendidn't collaborate with two or three more to
do it. But what is thepoint? Yeah? I think. I
think one of the things that I'velearned in journalism is if you're the person
(01:55:58):
given and I understand if you're givena story that a journalist know what you
got, you're running with the story. Once it's collaborated, confirmed, and
you've got three sources to do,there you go. So I was going
to say, is you need tocollaborate with three source? Correct? Not?
Hey, my sources. I justmaking it up that my buddy's sitting
next to me. So for me, it's I don't understand. On a
(01:56:19):
team, I understand why a mediagets stored they follow up on a saying
we got to talk about this.If that's what you're a journalist and you're
covering New York sports, I don'tunderstand in an organization why I would ever
sell out a teammate or a personin the organization. I just don't get
it. And and Aaron Rodgers iscorrect, those you consider those guys your
(01:56:42):
friends the second the story changes andit benefits them and not you anymore.
As getting it guess what they're goingto do. You're getting your ass bus
tossed too, if you're in thatorganization. I've never subscribed to it.
I if it got and we maybewe're at that point. I've told you
about this job, but about whatwe do that the what'll force what would
(01:57:04):
get me to leave is not isnot where I live the job. It's
the people who ruin it. Whenit becomes a burden that you're that sports
has become so much that you can'tyou don't know where to change. It's
just it's miserable going to work becauseyou're if you're not first, your last.
(01:57:25):
If you have all that stuff, get it right. And I don't
understand where the compassion will listen.I don't mean SoftWhere you're bs and everybody
just be fair. And I've neverunderstood the the vitriol of trying to basically
ruin a reputation. Issach Wilson isplaying very good, it's obvious. But
what if he didn't say it.Do you think he really went Do we
(01:57:45):
really think he went to the coach? If he did, then I'd cut
him. Went to the coach thatI don't want to play because I just
don't want to start. I highlydoubt that. But if he did,
and those were the words, whyif I'm in the organization right right,
and if I'm in the organization, why would I I want to go tell
somebody that it it's a character flaw, not only his, but in the
organization of allowing stuff like that toleak. I've told you, loose lips
(01:58:06):
sink ships, it sinks relationships,it sinks companies, at sinks marriages.
I just don't get or friendships, whatever it is. I understand journalists has
their job to do to follow upon that stuff. That's called being a
journalist. That's their job. Ijust don't see why. I I don't
need the clicks. I'll quit beforeI got to get clicks to throw somebody
(01:58:26):
under the bus and hurt their feelingsand bury their career, especially if it's
as simple as now. I'll givemy opinion if the story's out there and
the guy actually did say it.If you came to me as I'm your
head coach, and you and yousaid I don't want to play because I
just don't want to start. Idon't I'm not feeling it. You'd never
play again for me. I wouldn'tput you in the lineup. I'd I'd
go get somebody off the street beforei'd play you, stubborn or not at
(01:58:49):
the expensive losing maybe, But I'venever understood the the satisfaction people get out
of trying to Hey, I'm gonnabuddy and that media member that you give
it to. If somebody else comesand gives them a better story that includes
that you were part of it,guess what they're gonna do. They're bus
(01:59:09):
tossing your right exactly. I wasgonna say, they're running their mouths you
too. That's not that's for me. That's not why I'm in this.
I I like the good. Now, listen, I don't mind the criticism
I'm not talking about. I'm justtalking about the vitriol and and just unequivocal
throwing a family member, a teammate, which I call a family member teammate
under the bus. I've never understoodit. I've never understood if you got
(01:59:30):
in house fighting and all that orsomething's going on, take care of it
in house. Yeah, I've justnever understood bus tossing somebody just for the
bus. It doesn't twenty years fromnow, it doesn't serve me any purpose.
And that's and that's what we'll quitbefore. I have to do that,
right, And that's what Aaron Rodgerssaid. He said, we need
to handle this privately behind closed doors. A lot of lea. It does
a lot of good things that you'dsay, yet he's pissed a lot of
(01:59:51):
people off. But when it comesto that, I just don't understand why
you can't empty the bucket in house. Yeah, I just don't get it.
That's just my actually going to themedia right knowing they're going to write
about it. All right. Aswe continue to talk about the quarterback position.
Derek Carr no excuse me. DavidCarr was on a show yesterday on
(02:00:12):
the NFL Network and he talked aboutplaying Marcus Mariota over Jalen Hurts for the
Eagles. What's he talking about? That's next Sports Tuck seven to eighty.
Who's who's shown. He's the yseeternal judge who sits on high he has
the final say on all disputes.Back to the Sean Salisbury show on Sports
Talk seven ninety, she Radiy hasin man plastic cup. I say,
(02:00:43):
yes, ma'n fielder up kill mesomething good. I don't know, because
this world's been kicking behind. Iain't been a friend man lately. I've
been feeling kind of lone. Andshe back OVU who showed bone in at
(02:01:05):
the same hanging up on Well, let's see everything's gonna be You listen to
the Sean Salisbury Show here on SportsTalk seven ninety. You can also listen
to us on the Free iHeartRadio appSean Bryn and Triple Lee Astro signing a
backup catcher Victor Caratini, Red Soxtrading Alex Vdugo to the Yankees, Rockets
(02:01:30):
Thunder seven pm, tip Off NewsRadio seven forty KRH. Red Sox are
just clearing away for Otani? Isthat what they're doing? Yeah, I
mean we're going right, yeah, and they're gonna move Otani to right field.
Sure they are. Well, we'lltalk Ashles baseballt nine o'clock. I
don't call him for Dugo. Ifyou're a Red Sox guy, that's dude.
(02:01:51):
Dude's it? Doogie yeah, doogieyeah Gosh to the Yankees. Yeah,
man, what I'm frigging off? We've got so soft that we're gonna
give them a player unless I getone better. Now, I got to
hate him. Yeah, you do. See, he's that type of guy.
You know, he's like, he'svery flashy. When he's on your
(02:02:14):
team, you say that flashy's cool. Now he's going to the Yankee he
says like, you're flashy, sucksass, and he's got to cut his
hair. Yeah, oh yeah,oh yeah. Now I gotta say,
hey, man, get that clutchleft handed hit, rip it and you're
out there celebrating making some plays inright field. Little attitude adjustment at times
he may need. He's got alittle some swagger and he looks great with
(02:02:36):
the Red Sox. It's gonna suckin the pinstripes. You see what I'm
saying. Out of all teams, man, that's who you make a trade
with. Still, I still don'thave a Yankee hat in all the years
I've been doing it. Never andyou got like eight thousand hats give or
take take the over Yeah, damnnear. I'm just telling you though,
dude, it's I don't sledden,but I can't do it. And I
(02:02:59):
would I take some Yankees like whenRed Sox, when Clemens went the Yankees.
Would I have taken if Yankees theRed Sox yes, you give me
Derek Jeter as a Red Sox.I'm all in. Marian River will take
him. I don't hate you enoughto not want you on the team.
But when you leave him go there, it's like, okay, all right,
(02:03:19):
that really good look that he hadin the flash and the flashy look
now becomes irritating. Yeah, youknow what I'm saying. It's how goes
it sure does. Especially you remember, but again, this was in free
agency. Was when Johnny Damon wentover, Yeah, went over to the
Pinstripes, shaved his long hair, his blond beard, leave him from the
Red Sox over to the Yankees. The whole look was different, wasn't it
(02:03:44):
way different? I don't like thatabout the Yankees. How they make their
players have a clean shaved face. It's a clean face, clean shaved face.
Yeah, that's right. Cool disciplinethough looks stupid. I think it's
cool discipline, man. I thinkit's I don't know why it's such a
weak be going on right now.My point is, really, dude,
I got a go tea and Ican't wear one, I think, But
(02:04:04):
they used to. If you remember, there was a time Thurman Munson mustache.
If they let you wear a mustachewith no beard, correct, right,
you still you can have the mustache. They wore a mustache with no
beard, tightly cut. But yourhair wasn't going to be dangling in a
ponytail. You couldn't do like theydoing. But you won't. You ain't
doing any of that. You wouldn'thave been able to wear your mullet right.
(02:04:25):
They would have to make me cutit. As long as my hair
was, I could wear it ina pony times too, There's no doubt.
And with the be right, thiswould have to be saying you wear
go tea, wear a foud Manshoes. Sparky Lyle left handed picture.
You don't know that's before your time. Do a little look about. Sparky
Lyle had the food man shoe, rolly fingers. Did Rolly ever pitch she
Rich for Oakland and a bunch ofother teams. I don't know if Roley
ever made it through Yankee Stadium, but they had that obviously. Their captain
(02:04:48):
Thurman Munson had a mustache. They'vedone that mustache. That's the old Fu
Manchu, right, big Fu mancheecheck but no hair on the face.
So they but yeah, that wouldbe but you're not going to make your
decision bait now unless you think it'slike Samson where you cut your hair that
all of a sudden, if youcut your hair, you're not gonna be
any good anymore. If you're thatsuperstitious or obsessive. It's amazing what money
(02:05:11):
can do. Or when you gettraded, you go get paid that you
you can't do the hair on theface. I could learn how to get
those. Those are mutton shops, dude, corn Star, Yeah, was
in the seventies. Yeah, goodCarky Lyle. Don't hate the mutton shop
sideburns with a fu Man shoe mustache. Right, But yeah, I guess
(02:05:33):
I could shave. I listen forthe price and play in the right position
and going to the place you thinkyou can win, I'll shave my head
ball. I don't. I don'tneed want ounce of hair on my face.
But the fact that you tell meI can't have a beard is a
little bit irritating. Now, theRaiders were quite the opposite. They did
(02:05:54):
not care how you looked. Butwhen you show up on Sunday, open
up a can. That was theirphilosophy. So it just depends. But
the Yankees have been buttoned up nomatter what. I wonder if this is
gonna be a let see, they'renot changing uniforms, they're not changing hair
on the face. Their rules aresteadfast, whether it's nineteen seventy or whether
(02:06:14):
it's now. So apparently the Yankeeshave intensified their efforts to try to acquire
one Soto. Oh yeah, thatfeels like it's gonna happen. What are
you gonna have to part with?Yeah, that's the question. Who are
you gonna trade to go get him? And then you're gonna be able to
lock him up when his contract comesavailable, because he's gonna make half a
billion. That's a lot of moneyfor how much is he gonna make half
(02:06:40):
a bill for one Soto? Aboutfour hundred million? Man, what's he
on right now? Let's see,I mean it's right now. So he's
going to army, So he's stillit's crazy. He's gonna be in arbitration
this offseason and he's estimated to maketwenty seven million dollars and he's by all
(02:07:03):
accounts, he's gonna be highly underpaidat twenty seven million, and he's twenty
five years old, and he's aScott Bors guy. So you know he's
about to get the bag, sobe a free agent. This offseas.
Okay, let's say he gets toforty. How old is he now?
Twenty was twenty five? Just turnedtwenty five? Four fifty for ten,
probably one hundred for like a dozenyears type of thing. Is that what
(02:07:24):
we're talking about? Probably what he'sgonna get. Man, it's good to
be he'll get He'll get four hundredmillion. There is absolutely no question.
What did what did Judge get overthree fifty? Right? Uh? Yeah?
I think so? How do theyafford that? Dude? It's called
being a billionaire owner? That's howI mean? How do they afford it?
That's just it's called having so muchmoney you don't know what to do
(02:07:45):
with it. Somebody got spend itsomewhere. The problem is you keep spending
it when you're gonna win another championship? Yeah, they haven't since on nine?
And how much more patience are theDodgers gonna have with this spend?
If you go get tany in thatlineup and you don't win this? What
next? Yeah? But did yousee what? I'll save it. I'll
save it for the nine o'clock hourbecause Dave Roberts is an idiot. Whoa
(02:08:05):
he had, he had one jobwhen it came to Otani and he broke
the one rule. What is thatrule that's in the that's at nine point
fifteen. I'll Philly dog. Yeah, But if they get Otani and don't
win it, then I'm actually, honestly, I'm actually surprised that Dave Roberts
still has a job there. Theyhave been the most underachieving franchise in baseball,
(02:08:28):
them and the Yankees both. Thinkabout it, think about it,
all the money that is on thosepayrolls, and they can't win. They
can't get past the Championship Series, and if they do, they lose in
the World Series. Outside of theCOVID year for the Dodgers, excuse me
there, they get upset in theDivision Series. But I'll just think for
a second, take their current rosterand add it to the Dodgers. Yeah,
(02:08:50):
come on, man, he's justgonna hit because he can't pitch because
Tommy John surgery. But it's crazy. What do you means do you mean
this year? Yeah, because hecan't pitch, he's just gonna hit.
At some point he's gonna pitch again. Correct, it's nuts, man.
Yeah, and so if they ifthey can't win with that dude in their
lineup, at some point, DaveRoberts is not gonna be the manager anymore.
(02:09:18):
Dude with that lineup, just don'ttalk. You don't have to even
say, I don't know. Finally, man, just sitting I'm not talking
about Dave robs some talking about anybody, right, Just put the lineup card
in and to let him go towork. I just don't get the way.
Now, imagine Otani goes to theBraves him in that lineup. Don't
say anything there either, to lethim go play with all that lineup.
Yeah, it's sick. That's oneof those where you're like, I think,
(02:09:39):
I'm just gonna stay out of theway and let these guys do the
thing. Let him play. It'scrazy. Let the boys play. All
right, Let's get back to UHto the NFL. What did David Carr
have to say about the quarterback situationin Philadelphia? That's next on Sports Talk
seven eighty. Listen to every gameanywhere on the iHeartRadio Sports Talk seven nine.
(02:10:07):
It's Home of your Rockets. Thisis Craig Visio. You're listening to
Sean Salisbury on Sports Talk seven ninetyYou're home with the Strokes. Yeah,
(02:10:35):
I know that the woes and theweight of the world can get inside of
minds, be too mus sometimes.I know the baby don't the nose and
the imps and the downs from theroad to rad beats, you live inside,
baby don't rockets thunder seven pp offtonight. You can hear all that
(02:11:01):
action on our sister station, newsradio seven KRH. Astro signing a backup
catcher, Victor Karantini. We'll talkto Astros Baseball next segment at nine o'clock.
Red Sox also making a trade.Alex Vradugo headed to the New York
Yankees. David Carr talked about thesituation in Philadelphia. Jalen Hurts a little
(02:11:24):
banged up. They just got beatdown by the forty nine ers. David
Carr had an interesting take to say. The least on that quarterback, Jalen
Hurts and Marcus Marriotta the backup iswhat David Carr had to say, The
only way that they get there. To him, Robbin's point is Jalen is
one hundred percent and he is thatdynamic weapon in the run game. Because
that creates your offense on the outsideand your one on ones. Clearly,
(02:11:48):
Jalen isn't comfortable reading through a defensein a drop back past scenario. Some
would say he's not even good atit. And I think that when you
look at this team, you haveto have a serious conversation if you're Philly
and you have to really say,is it better for us to play Marcus
Mariota right now and let Jalen getfully healthy? Because I would argue that
it does not matter if you're thenumber one seed, because if the forty
(02:12:09):
nine ers come into Philly again, they do not care. They do not
care. Raining in Philly doesn't matter. But irrelevant. You're the coach,
you're Nick Siriani. You go upto Jalen hurts, He's like, dude,
that's what you can play. Coachconversation. I can play. How
are you going to tell me?I just got paid, we do all
this stuff. I'm in the MVPrunner. We just had a board up
there, his MVP odds, Andnow you're go telling me, telling me
(02:12:31):
to sit big picture brother, likewhat you have to do? Like if
you're Nick Sirianni, this is thetype of decision and conversation you have to
have if you have a big picturementality, and I think you can have
that conversation honestly with Jalen and ifyou set him down. That's all Jileen
talks about is the end result andgetting to the super Bowl and winning that
thing the best way we can doit. They didn't run the football at
(02:12:52):
all with him twice. That's notit, man, that's not the winning
edge. Put Marcus in there, win a couple games, maybe he have
the number one seat. Still, you might have it. I'd say he's
probably better at playing quarterbacks than hegoes right now. Right now, he
would be more pretty that Philly.I didn't say that. That's David Carr
(02:13:16):
talking about that. Interesting take.I guess what are your thoughts on that,
Sean. I get the I getwhat he's saying that if Jalen Hurts
can't execute what he does so well. First of all, I completely disagree
that Jalen Hurts can't drop back andthrow the ball through progressions, that he's
not good at it. I disagree. Does the fact that he's got great
(02:13:39):
feet enable him to do some otherthings with his arm? Yeah, we'd
all like that ability. So Idon't think that he's a that he's a
weakness throwing the ball. Does hethrow like Mahomes or one of those guys.
No, But he is one ofthe best players in his position this
league. That's why he got paidin a great leader. I get what
Cars trying to say, meaning,if you're not at full strength, why
(02:14:00):
not let him get the full strengthand let Mariota come in and do well
what he can do too, andlet's get on the edge and throw.
But some would argue that Mariota can'tget through his progressions and throw it either.
If you're really going to make thatargument. He's a backup for a
reason, and everywhere I mean he'sbeen, he's a solid backup to have.
But you can tell he doesn't sustainbeing the starting quarterback for very long.
(02:14:20):
But I don't know who the otherguys were with car on the show,
but I'll tell you this, they'reright. How do you go at
eighty five percent or whatever his healthis and say, hey, we're gonna
bench you, We're going to playuntil you get healthy. If you're healthy
enough to go, you go towork and play. That's how Jalen hurts.
I would imagine would be treating thisnow. If he's at sixty percent,
you take the decision out of hishand and say, dude, we
(02:14:43):
got to have you for the stretcherand sit this one out this week.
We take the player from the player. That's exactly right. Yeah, so
I get what car means. Idon't agree with him that he said Jale
Hurts can't getrough progressions. I disagreewith that. I actually think every year
he's gotten better as a passer. So he's wrong. If your offense is
limited because Hurts is hurt. Iget why a game you'd put in Mariota
to say, hey man, weneed to give this guy a break.
(02:15:05):
Let him get fully healthy. Sobecause January is going to be more important
than one extra win throughout this becausePhilly can prove it they can win at
home, go on the road.Have we seen the forty nine ers?
But you're sure as hell not goingto tell him this week because don't they
play the Cowboys on Sunday Night football? Is that what is or Monday night?
Either one. I think it's Sundaynight Football. Then the night of
(02:15:26):
the Sunday night game. And sowith you're not what he gonna tell Hurts.
Hey man, we're gonna set youthis week. The answers, No,
you're playing Hurts. But if it'sto the point where he's really crushing
your team and can't execute it,then Syrian has got to take charts.
Say, dude, I need youto sit. Let's let's see how it
goes. But if you're not feelinggood, we got to have you for
(02:15:48):
this run. But if Hurts wantsto go and is healthy enough to go,
you don't play Marcus Mariota because you'renot guaranteed to win in any games
with Mariota either. Okay, andSirianni knows that you play Jalen Hurts as
long as he's healthy enough to play, unless it becomes a detriment to your
team. I don't look at JalenHurts as a detriment to Philadelphia. Where
did this even come from. I'msure they were bringing it. Well,
(02:16:09):
you're looking for something to discuss. There's a lot of things to discuss in
this Cowboy Eagle game, and it'snot whether Jalen Hurts is playing or not.
If he's healthy, he's playing.Try to keep him off the field
this week after what happened to themlast week get home against San Francisco.
So he took you know, hetook a big hit on a third down.
Yeah, and then he went tothe blue medical ten that came out,
was able to go back in.So we'll see. I mean,
(02:16:31):
if he can't execut, but you'renot gonna you're not benching him. If
he's healthy enough to go, he'splaying. Yeah, there's no chance that
happens. But it got us talkingabout it, didn't it. Yeah,
we're talking more so about David carthan any fact than the fact that that
you know that we've got a hugegame Philadelphia. This is big, but
(02:16:52):
it's also just as big for Dallasto prove to themselves you can beat this
team in their building, right, meaning in Dallas they can beat this team
at home, right, But thatthey can take on this they have a
lot of success. Can you beatone of the more talented rosters in football.
So for him to point out, meaning David Carr point out, if
Jalen Hurts is only sixty percent, okay, then I can that makes sense,
(02:17:13):
right, talk about the injury andthings like that. But for him
to talk about not being able toget through his progressions, why why was
that even needed. Jalen Hurts hasplayed really good this year, and he
played really good last year. Whatdo you mean he can't get through his
progressions? What why add that inthere? Uh? And it was like
the oh, you know, getjays he's not maybe cannot healthy enough,
can't execute it and he throws in. Some would argue he's not good at
(02:17:35):
I have no idea. Why whyhad that? Yeah? Because it gets
us saying what did you just say? Right, Jalen Hursts doesn't have to
apologize or defend any of that. And I mean Derek Carr must know because
it hit him too. He didn'tknow how to. I mean, he
had a little bit of trouble makingdecisions himself. But as much as I
like, I think Derek Carr isa good guy and I think hot take
(02:17:56):
would I say David Derek David David'sHe's a good dude, and I get
what he's saying. I just don'tlike the presentation. He didn't there's no
reason to say that. If hereally believes Jalen Hurts isn't good at getting
through his progressions, I disagree. At this stage, he's gotten better every
year. Yeah, So and I'mgoing to argue that an eighty five percent
Jalen Hurts is better than one hundredpercent. Marcus mariot I would agree.
(02:18:16):
So I disagree with this take, but I do get his point that if
the guy becomes a point where hecan't execute what they do great on offense,
why you'd set him down for agame. But i'd keep him out
of uniform. So I don't havethe temptage to put him back in.
But guess what we ask our playersto show up. You ain't talking Jalen
Hurts out of playing in a gamelike this, No, not because Colbot
a night no one shot. That'sright. Yeah, as I said,
(02:18:37):
all right, let's talk Astros baseball. They signed a backup catcher who is

(02:21:13):
it back up Catcher Victor Quarantini. What does this sound like Victor Quarantini does
for a profession if he wasn't abaseball player? To you, Sean,
Victor Quarantini's from Puerto Rico, justby the last name. If I didn't
know anything, I'd say he's gotone of the best Italian eateries in New
(02:21:35):
York City. Yeah, definitely,That's what I'd say. Gets you a
good canoli? Oh yeah, goodchicken palm, Yeah, a little parm
with extra cheese and red sauce ontop. Good with some little mood you
saw smoot sorella. Yeah, andyou put a little palm parmes on cheese
on top of it. Yeah yeah, maybe, just maybe you put a
(02:21:56):
little penne pasta as your side dishwith some red sauce. You always gotta
have a pasta side dish with yourchicken palm. Feel me? Dog sounds
really good right now? And areyou the type of guy they do they
call pizza there, pizza pie?Probably pie? Yeah, definitely pie?
Yeah, slice a pie? Yeahright, pizza though not yeah, pizza
(02:22:20):
not not like chocolate cream or coconutcream pie right con pie pie? Right?
Yeah? Yeah, but some goodpizza pie. Correct, pizza.
I'm gonna go and make a pizzatoday, are you? I actually am?
You got a wood fire? Whatis it again? Not a wood
fire? The large OONI pizza makeyour own. Oh but if I could
(02:22:41):
could have made it work to buildone in but one of these days building
that wood fried wood fired pizza whereit's right there, just like right out
of the restaurant. Right, I'mgonna go and make a pizza. Put
some pepperonis, mushrooms, extra chi. I'm gonna it's the chakaroni. I'm
put extra pepperonis on it, rushrooms, cheese, black olives and uh jalapenos
(02:23:05):
and artichoke carts. Artichoke carts arereally good on pizza. Well you never
heard of it. Well, I'llthrow an artichoke cart on half of it
if you want it like, I'llput it on later so it doesn't like.
I don't want it too hot.I like it to cook but warm.
But i'd if with it. That'dbe the last thing I put off
one if it was just a changeup. Normally it's pepperonis, mushrooms, black
(02:23:28):
olives, and uh jalapenos for me, little extra cheese on it, and
it's a chagaroni. But there won'tbe one one fingertip of the pizza not
covered with pepperonis. What about pineapple? No? Absolutely not, No,
you can be bought. I canbe bought. No, it doesn't.
But no that's not for me.It does not. I'll pass. It
(02:23:50):
does not. So Victor Karantini soundslike he would own an Italian joint up
in the Bronx somewhere. He playedfor the Milwaukee Brewers last year. He
year in ninety five games. Hehit no excuse me, he appeared in
sixty two games. He hit twofifty nine on base of three twenty seven
(02:24:11):
ops of seven eleven. So he'sa switch hitting catcher, can also play
a little bit of first base. He's played for the Cubs, the Padres,
the Brewers, and now he issigning. It's a two year deal,
twelve million dollars for a backup catcher. Obviously, his his role will
be back up behind Yan heredia Isand that also means that Martin Maldonado will
(02:24:35):
not return to be the backup catcher. And Martin Maldonado's career as an astro
is over. Huh do you wishhe was coming back? If he was
coming back as a backup, yeah, I'd take it all day. You
don't think Joe Spotto would have thetemptation to play him every day if if
they can. If he came backat about what four mil and was just
(02:24:58):
gonna be I wanted it was justgoing to be there to assist, be
a help and catch every fifth day, like just catch Verlander. Yeah,
I'll be fine with it. Yeah, me too, But he's not.
I'd be more than fine with That'dbe good because I know what I get
from him. He's appeared in sixstraight playoff appearances, three World Series appearances,
(02:25:20):
one championship, caught two no hitters. He also caught two immaculate innings
in the same game, and hewas the main guy catching Cy Young winner
Justin Verlander in twenty twenty two.So a hell of a run for Martine
mauld dais. Say whatever you want. That dude played a pivotal role in
the success of the Houston Astros. You know what's crazy. I bet he
goes and starts somewhere else. Hewill on a veteran team he will watch,
(02:25:45):
but I bet he does. I'llbet he gets a lot of run
this year because of his reputation forleadership and handling his staff. Let's see,
he is gaining interest from the RedSox, the Padres, the Marlins,
and the White SOX. That's what'sgoing on. Yeah, he's gonna
be playing somewhere. It'd be greatto be a backup. But I still
(02:26:05):
think he has what starter aspirations ofright, I would think, so I
understand you can go to a whitebox and start. Yeah it's time.
It was time. You got toget the bat. If he would I
mean, if he would have goneto them say here's what I'll take once
every fifth day. I'll play wheneveryou need me. I love this organization
and I want to be here startingif you want me to start fining.
But let's get the young fellow goingand I'm here for you. Yeah,
(02:26:26):
that'd be I wouldn't need another backupcatcher. I'm good with him, I
am, but not four days startingin one day off. I can't have
that. No, and maybe hewasn't ready for that. I don't want
to say demotion, which is whatit did to lose that starting role.
Maybe there's I mean, of those, there may be a place or two
that still wants to play him everyday. Yeah, and whoever is coming
in for the Astros, Jan yourDiez is the guy going forward as it
(02:26:50):
should be. You probably should haveplayed him more this past season, but
it is what it is. Now, we go into an off season.
Jan Your Diaz is going to bethis starter, and they've got a backup
and a guy that can actually playa little bit of first base too.
So if you want to give Josea bray you some days off or he's
not swinging it particularly well, thenyou got a guy that's played first base
(02:27:11):
in Victor Karen Teeny. Again, something I said earlier in the show is
general manager Dana Brown at the Wintermeetings yesterday spoke that there could be a
free agent deal or a trade thatthey're getting close on. I don't know
what that would look like. Whatwould they need another name that's that's been
rumored. What I heard, JordanHicks, what I heard from me?
(02:27:33):
I heard Yer Diaz for Corey Lee. Oh oh, you're gonna go get
Corey Lee back? What would youdo? Hey, we got a deal,
we decided, we've changed, wegot we got Yer. No takebacks,
dude, there's no takebacks, Nogive backs. Takebacksone was for Cory
Lee. Sean, just stop withthe hyperbole. There's no way. Of
(02:27:58):
course, if that's the case, something's then there on the min that it's
it's got to be. It's probablyhard to talk about a trade deal that's
you're not close on if you're whenwhen he's speaking, I imagine he's talking
about there's got to be two playersin the trade, correct and so or
more, you know, it couldbe a three way type gig. But
the trade so either that's done andhe's just waiting to announce it or soon,
(02:28:20):
or this is a free agent tobe that they're going to jump all
over correct. So I don't know, but I would imagine there's gonna be
a moving I don't know how monsterthe movement is as far as what that
name guys, but significant I hope, meaning a guy who's either going to
play every day or a guy who'sgoing to pitch every fifth day, right,
(02:28:43):
and that what we're looking for. Here's going so rumor or not rumor.
But the ward on the street isthe Cardinals. Okay, where's your

catcher. Sorry to tell you no. What's the biggest need on this team
right now? A starter centerfielder.I didn't say two biggest needs. No,
I'm a question. I said starter, Yeah, asking you so it's
a question, an exclamation point,no centerfielder, Like, I'm just okay,
So, who's your unequivocal number oneguy? It's got to be Verlander,
(02:38:48):
right, does it? That's yeah? Verlander? Okay? Verlander?
And fromber there's your one. Ifyou're one two, and I'll ask you
this is Fromber? What from areyou go? See? Where's your trust
level on him? Right now?Right? Not as ace or middle of
the rotation right now? Okay, hobbyer. I'm not saying what they have
(02:39:09):
done, and I'm talking about movingforward where you're where your one to ten
level is with them? Okay?Verlander's what forty? Yes? Okay?
And great picture? Where is yourIs he a number one starter because it's
here? Or is the number onestarter everywhere he goes? I don't know
(02:39:31):
about everywhere, because there's some reallygood there's out there, yeah, de
Gram the certain place you go,I get it, right, the Blake
Snells of the world, McClanahan whenhe's healthy, right, okay, So
Verlander, he's your number one,so on a World Series team that has
every intention to go back a gameshy of it this year the forty year
(02:39:52):
olds. Your ace is what you'retelling me? Yeah, okay, why
don't so? Don't you got tostart to start to look down the tunnel
and say what's next? Yes?Is it fromber? It should be?
But I need to gain him alittle more grasps, the calm in and
relaxed when you're because when you're there, you're as good as there is in
this league. Javier great stuff?Who is he? We saw it is
(02:40:15):
and then we saw who it isn'tAnd I'm sitting somewhere where's my level?
I know what he can bring, but where's my level of I know that's
exactly what they're bringing. Does thatmake sense to you? And then four
and five? You know you counton it? Is it mccullor's midway through
the season. How's Garcia's injury keygoing to be? Is he a fourth
or fifth starter? Every year?Rkety's name is going to come up.
(02:40:35):
As you know, at the tradedeadline, you can you ship in,
But then you say, when youdon't get rid of me, you're like
good because he's a clutch guy tohave. He's a key guy to have
because you can use in both places. Right. So the point is when
all's right, hell of a roster, hell of a starting five. When
Lance and Garcia and Orkey, nowyou've got six of them with Verlander and
(02:40:56):
Fromber and Javier, somebody's got it. You're pitching. Somebody's getting left out
on the everyday five man rotation. And there's a guy named Hunter Brown who
has aspirations to be a front linestarter. And there's a guy named JP
Frantz that want to go in rotationas well. So on the papers says
this is a deep team. Butdeep is one thing. But do you
have a Rollerim out there and youknow every when you start Verlander, I
guess would be the guy. ButI'm always concerned when you hit your forties.
(02:41:20):
Not that he can't pitch for fivemore years. He's great, but
if forty is your best, Igot to have the couple of these other
guys, make sure that we knowthat they can be. I need another
two guys that can be a numberone if we need him to be.
That makes sense, yes, consistently, right, That's what I'm looking for.
A centerfielder. I can get by. If I don't get a center
field I can get by. Whocan you get by with McCormick, color
(02:41:41):
Dubon? I don't care. Okay, I can get by with either one
of them. I can now.If you told me I could get Sodoh
almost some people around okay, allmost of people around. But you're not
getting soda because you're not paying that. So do you want? But the
question is if you're gonna go outand get that centerfield or you're talking about
who is it? Who is it? What are you giving up? Did
(02:42:03):
you come? All? Right?Great, I'll trade three guys for him
if that's the case. Is hea free agent who got a trade for
him? You got a trade forthat's right? Okay? So remember at
the deadline, I didn't know ifhis contract was up. If he was
a rental. He was not goingto be a rental last year, right
you would have had he would havehad him under contract for like two more
years. Right now. If you'retelling me, I get that big fellow
who can hit it five hundred feetand cover a lot of ground in the
outfield, I'm in. So thatupgrades the roster. Yeah, So if
(02:42:24):
you're tell me I get that overMcCormick as good as McCormick was last year
at times, Jimmy, Louis Robertall day long twice on Sunday. Dana
Brown yesterday spoke about that center fieldposition. Is it going to be McCormick,
d Bond or could Jake Myers getsome run out there. We'll talk
about a next on sports Stock sevenninety, the Houston Sports World. Yes,
(02:42:45):
Sean Salisbury knows how to play thegame because he really played the game.
Yep, former prol QB right here. He actually has it on his
name tag former pro QB right here. Back to Sean Sports Talk seven ninety
(02:43:15):
Houston Rockets taken on the Oklahoma CityThunder seven o'clock the tip off tonight.
Catch all the action over on oursister station, News Radio seven forty krh
RED Sox trade Alex Ford, goto the Yankees astro signing a backup catcher
Victor Karantini. Dana Brown yesterday atthe Winter meetings talked about the calls that
(02:43:37):
they have been receiving. He saidthat they were getting some calls on potentially
trading Jake Myers, but Jake MyersAccording to Dana Brown, sean he's going
to get a chance to establish himselfas the everyday center fielder early in the
season. Chas McCormick will get mostof the time in left field. Teams
have called on Jake Myers, butBrown said that he will not be traded.
(02:44:00):
He also said that Chaz McCormick isan everyday player and will be treated
as such. He's gonna split timebetween left field and center field. I
definitely agree with the last part ofthat that Chaz, if he's here,
should be in the lineup every day. I think he's numbers and I don't
want to say limited. He playeda lot, but not started every day,
play one hundred and fifty games inthe same position all the time,
(02:44:20):
and I think that, you know, he's proved he's got that great power
to right center, and he's ahe's pretty damn good in the field and
pretty versatile playing two positions out there. Hell, he could probably hold down
right field under DA Kyle Tucker takesoff, but Kyle Tucker doesn't take much
time off Jake Myers. Here's mything. Are they trying to force feed
Myers into be in the every daycenter fielder sounds like it, okay,
(02:44:43):
So if they are, excuse me, regardless of what we believe, I
always trust people that are in theirbusiness doing their thing right. And so
if Dana Brown and those guys believethat Jake Myers should be playing all the
time, that he's an everyday player, he's going to get every chance to
win the everyday job. If that'sthe case and you come out of spring
training and you say he won thejob, Jake Myers to me, doesn't
(02:45:09):
feel like a in order to getthe max out of him, one every
four days is not going to beenough. I feel like, if you
are going to commit to Myers hewins a job in spring training, you
go and saying, Dubond's our Swissarmy knife. We got Chasmo and left
field and Jacob in centerfield, andthey're both and he says it, Myern,
(02:45:31):
he says it. McCormick's an everydayplayer, So that means he's going
to be positioned in left field withthe ability to play center once in a
while. So if McCormick is yourguy, I mean, uh, if
Myers is your guy in centerfield,I don't think you can say after ten
games, Well, let's move, let's put him back out there. The
experiment didn't work. If you're goingto do it and you say he's got
(02:45:54):
a chance to be the everyday centerfielderand win the job, then you got
to run him out there every day, through slumps and all of it.
Is I don't get the feeling thatMyers is a, like I said,
a two hundred and fifty three hundredbats season guy. I feel like,
if you're gonna playhim, get himfive hundred best. Let's see what he's
all about. And then at theend of the year or if he's hitting
seventy one, which he won't,then then he make that choice. But
(02:46:16):
if you're gonna do it, Idon't think you can do it and then
every second or third day he's sittingon the bench for two days and come
back out. If you're going tocommit to him, you think he's that
guy, let him work his waythrough either the good, the bad,
or somewhere in between. Be thatguy. And if he isn't, then
then you'll revisit that at the AllStar break or whatever. But if they
want him to it feels to melike they want him to start. Does
(02:46:37):
that make sense. Yeah, itfeels like they want their outfield to be
McCormick, Tucker and uh Jake MyersMyers. So if that is the case
and he wins the job, itcan't be Well he won the job now,
but we'll talk to you in fifteendays. It's to me, it's
got to be where you're going toplay through. Oh for twelve slumps,
dude, good defensive player, goout there and do it. Got some
(02:46:58):
pop his bat and needs to seeit. We saw a lot of people
had the same question about McCormick goinginto this year. Is he an everyday
player? Where's gonna play left field? Centerfield? What do we do when
he put him in there? Theguy put out If you parlay those out
over the course of a season,he's a thirty home run plus guy.
Right. So we saw him rearhis head where people thought, damn,
(02:47:20):
I can live with him every dayplaying if Myers is going to be that
guy, because I could take youback to two years ago, heck it
might even be three when he raninto the wall and hurt himself. After
years ago, going into that game, what was everybody saying they got there,
say he's going to be a dude, there you go. So if
that's the case, then let's thenthen run it out there and let's go.
(02:47:43):
If it's not, then make surethat we know going that. Not
for us, but I think thatyou need for certain guys. You're the
guy, go play. You don'thave to come. You don't have to
worry about the lineup card. I'llsee in center field every day. Okay,
I need one hundred and fifty outof you. All right, let's
go, yeah, and we'll see. Let's go out to the phone line
seven one three, seven nights,go to Roger. Roger, what's up
(02:48:05):
and what's going on? Sean,Brian and w so uh man, I
hate to even see these words comeup a mouth, and I really think
it's gonna be a down here fordrows man. Uh when you got,
we need? We need? Whenyou got? The general manager's talking about
guys like Jake Myers, and wealready know what it is. Him and
his horrible defensive metrics, bad without running to catch the balls. Not
(02:48:28):
saying that Chaz didn't, but Chasat least has a better than every chance
of making it up with his bat. So when he when you when you
when you talk about guys question marksgoing into the season. I think we've
had more than than ever before onthis run, because first of all,
you've got you guys that are supposedto, you know, uh front line
starters that are not going to beeven thinking about uh wrapping up anything until
(02:48:52):
July in Garcia, and and uhmccullors, and then you got too many
questions marks with Fromberg and we're gonnatrade Jake Myers at least you could revamp
my chance to revamp that farms justfrom anything else. And I just really
think there's too many, too manyquestion marks going into the season. I
really hate to say that. Ihope, I hoping that it's not man
(02:49:13):
because you know, I just youknow, I love my strokes like everybody
else. Man. That's all Ihad. Guys, have a great one.
Thanks Roger, Thank you, Roger. Roger. See what I did
there? Yeah, I honestly,Sean, I didn't think this is what
I was gonna hear. No,I understand, really didn't think that Jake
Myers would be an everyday centerfielder.Okay, yeah, so they're taking over
(02:49:33):
Joe a spotter. Do you thinkJoe's spot is signing off on this probably,
I would think, so are you. And this city holds him in
the highest regard, So you're gonnatrust him more than us what you see
from the naked eye from here.Oh no, I'm gonna try. I'm
gonna trust the manager exactly, andI know you will because that's the respect
of the position. And Dana Brown, they see him every day. They
(02:49:54):
know what they like, and Iknow that there's gonna be some who are
gonna question why as we have thequestion and he's an above average Centerfielder's made
some good but I almost feel likethey think he's a better center fielder than
Chas McCormick, right, they likeMcCormick's bat better. But what we see
with Jake Myers in one hundred andfifty games, I don't know. So
so with that, for me,we're gonna you trust it. And you
(02:50:18):
may not have expected here and youmay hear something different. That may just
be we don't know where it's goingto go between now and then. But
my whole thing is how weak isit is a roster? Really? I
mean, Rogers worried about it,like we're gonna take a major step back
question marks, Well, then whatquestions you have going into last year,
Lance mccullor's and a few others.Health yep, who's gonna be a starting
(02:50:43):
center fielder? What is it?Before al Tuove was hurting, we knew
that Dubon had to play second base. Going into the going in, I
thought, mccolors the injuries, Ithought, is Chas McCormick going to be
your everyday center field center fielder? So, yeah, who's going to be
the center fielder you're or are wegoing in with the same thing? Health
(02:51:03):
a problem last year? Who youreveryday center field are gonna be? McCormick
answered the question part time. Butthey're gonna play them every day at least
somewhere at least that's what they itfeels like. So my question is,
where's your catcher's better? Okay,your catcher's better, You're gonna get healthier.
Where's the major weakness? I meanon pay persistency with the Javier and
(02:51:26):
from Er, a healthy Verton paper, they don't really have many, right,
So what's the difference? Matter offact, what would you say is
different? Jake Myers? What's what'swhat? What is it a if they
weaken a lineup by going Myers andMcCormick, or are they strengthen the lineup
by going or Dias and not Maldonado. Yeah, so what's the difference,
(02:51:46):
really, get healthier better? Imean a question mark could be middle relief
guys, if you're gonna lose standing, if you lose time, right,
maybe and you know, getting graveand healthy. Right. You still got
some dudes in that bullpen though, still got to Bray you and that bullpen
and may be involved with Hunter Brownand at some point with Hunter Brown and
Orkidi or the guys. JP Frantzmay be in that bullpen pointed, and
(02:52:07):
somebody else will emerge as a youngplayer. So my point is is that
we're all the panic, but you'reback. McCormick still in the lineup,
Duvon still in the lineup. JakeMyers was the future two years ago,
and you got your Diaz with theeveryday lineup. Where where's the weakness that
you that we're worried about? Now? Bray you for a full trail of
spring training and first base and wesaw so it's not that much different,
(02:52:30):
right, It's not that much different? All right? There was one rule
for the show. Halo Tani sweepSteakes Dave Roberts broke it? What happened?
That's next? Sports Tuck seven highty, Witsitt Vision dot Com, Doctor
Jeff witzit w H I T SE T T glasses, context readers boom.
If you don't like them, getrid of them. What do you
wait on? I know I've talkedto dozens and dozens of people not only
(02:52:52):
if called doctor whitstt and used him, but I also have dozens of people
that Sean tell me about it?Is it invas Nope? How'd it work?
Perfect for me? Seeing better thatI have? Are you well,
Sean tell me about it? Well, you're not on the table long the

nice? What Michael? The ShawnSalisbury Show, Sean Bryan and Tripoli talking
Astros is Eric Church? Nope?Who is this? This is Lucas Combs,
Luke Colmes I like Lucas Skywalker. It is Lucas palms in it.
You like Luke I do? Ido too? I do one of my
favorites. Yeah, I inside,I got my head in a man,
(02:55:11):
I got uh Ben coming back.I mean sing sing a song like you
don't really know the word. Iknow I don't, but pretend like you
don't sing a song. Yeah, just show me how it goes. I
want to, Hey, but notone number, you know, like the
one there you go. That's it. Here's an interesting question. That's not
(02:55:35):
that it's not really that interesting.Or here's the statement, it's not that
interesting. You mentioned country singers andmusic and the rest of it, and
it's Western Wednesday. It is correct. I would like to do. We
said goals and resolutions, but youknow, I would like in the new
year, I want to I wantto have you ever traveled more than three
states away just to specifically go toa concert? Uh? Not on a
(02:56:00):
to go to a concert. No, but there's some really good festivals out
there, with country festivals and stufflike that. I'm going to do that
more than a multiple. I'm goingto tell you right now, I'm going
to travel to see somebody in concertthat I love in a city or two
more than three times this year.Who's going to be I don't know yet.
I know guys on my list andnot just country, I'm talking about
all genresh. I'm going to seethe Eagles in the new Year. I've
(02:56:24):
never seen them. I'm going tosee them and I have to. I
have biggest regret, one of thebiggest music regrets I have is when an
opportunity younger to go to led Zeppelinin their prime, like when I was
high school, college, you know, when they were rolling a seventies,
eighties when they were going didn't go. Damn. I never saw led Zepplin.
I think they're the greatest rock bandof all time there, so you
(02:56:46):
know when the original and bottom andI mean I friggin love them. I
don't want to miss that. Onthe Beatles now I'm bummed. I'm not
the Beatles, but with the Eagles, I'm bummed because Glenn Fry has passed
away, but they're still off thecharts right and it's the same. Like
Stapleton's at the top of my list. I have not seen him, but
I heard the top of my list. He's a couple of weeks ago you
know, everybody wants see George Strait, but there's other musicians and other you
(02:57:09):
know, types of music that Iwant to that I'm going to travel around
at least, it's just a goal. I don't care where I sit,
it doesn't matter. Just to say, you know, I always used to
Bill Walton, who love to followwhat is it? Grateful dead? Is
he a dead end? Right?Yeah? Right? Is it to just
to go around get the T shirtin the meadow lands or go to Miami
(02:57:30):
and grab the shirt, or you'rein Boston at Fenway Park watching a concert
just to say why are you going? And you stay a couple of eggs.
I'm going for the specific reason ofwatching Chris Stapleton play at Fenway Park,
or the Eagles play in Red Rocksin Colorado. I'd be awesome.
Yeah, that's where that's the numberone and two. If I'm not going
to Wembley Stadium in London, sendme to Red Rocks in Colorado to watch
(02:57:52):
the three. I'll go to RedRocks back just for that itself, but
to travel just for the concert andthen the meals and all that mixed in
and go with a handful of coupleswe're getting on a plane. We're going
to watch Elton John. Yeah,I've seen him with Jo But you give
my point, right. It's oneof those things because I always think about
the things that I'm gonna regret farmore of the things I didn't do,
far more in life. I don'twant regret. But I'm gonna say,
(02:58:16):
well, I'm never gonna get tosee led Zeppelin the way I want to
see him, and I should have. I can tell you what Pat Travers
is life in concert or the StevieWonder or Prince because I didn't pass up
those opportunities, left led Zeppelin onthe table, And at sixteen eighteen,
you're not really saying, oh,I got thirty years to catch up with
those guys. Fifty years, seventyyears, buddy, I here you are,
right all these years later, andyou still that's one of my biggest
(02:58:39):
music regrets. Saw Michael Jacks.I've seen all So I am going to
a goal. We talked about goingto ballparks and while oh, isn't it
easy just to go to Twitter sayingyes, But that's not the point,
right. The point is to hopon a plane with a handful of couples
and friends and buddies and boom flyto Fenway. We're gonna go have fun,
drink at cheer, We're gonna drinkcold beer, and we're gonna go
to this concert. We're gonna staythree today and if it's during the spring,
(02:59:01):
we're going to find Away Park. But the reason we're going is why
to fly around and see your favoritemusical act wherever that might be. Pregame
at the Cactus Flagging. Well that'snot the name of it. So you
go to the cask what do youcall it? The cactus Flagon? If
you go to Boston, they saywhat you know what they're gonna say,
did you see the movie with McCarthyMelissa McCarthy and Sandra bullocky or whatever?
(02:59:26):
I know? That's that's identity.Thefts the other one right when they work
together while I have you know whenuh, when they when they're at the
family dinner and the guys from Boston, Oh, yeah, did you you're
a? You're a? What?Yeah, I'm a We'll see. What
was the phrase they were using? Are you a? Are you a?
(02:59:48):
Are you the cop? Not acop? What do you call her?
Are you a? Pull that up? What's the word there because the one
the Heat, yeah, the movieHeat. But when they're sitting around the
dinner table at Melissa McCarthy's house, they're all from Boston, and he starts
going in and she doesn't understand whathe's saying. Are you a what's the
(03:00:09):
word? Pull that scene up justfor you and you'll say the phrase.
But that's how that that's if yougo to Boston and say, are you
a knock? Yeah? Are youa knock? Are you a knock?
Yeah? That's what it is,a knock? Yeah. And he looks
at his standing like, if I, if I, if I start any
whatever, he says, am Istart speaking ingwand a knock And he's family
(03:00:33):
laughing, because that's what you're gonnaYou canna say, I want to go
to the I'm going to the cactusflagging. Yeah, I'm gonna say what
is this? What? What didhe just say? Cactus flagging? Well?
What are you a knock? Is? Oh? You mean yeah?
Yeah? Yeah? Did you saythat a knock? Let's get out,
(03:00:54):
Let's get don in you and Boston. I can't wait to see what's up
don Oh, hell, hey,how y'all doing good? We're great?
Brother? What's up. Uh.You know, I do have to make
a statement here. You two guystogether are awesome sports announcers. Thank you,
buddy, appreciate it, Thank you. Okay, Okay, here's the
(03:01:16):
bad news. Singing at your gig. Okay, I know, I know
you're talking to him and not me. Okay, I got a voice like
Sergi and Jesus. Don Okay, maybe not who whoever wants to, whoever
wants to listen to that one goodpoint I'm talking about. I'll take Jesus
over Fergie. Deal for you here, Yeah, what's up? I gotta
(03:01:37):
deal for you on the astros.Okay, if you do the numbers,
because that's what Brown is doing rightnow. If we could get DIA's catching,
if you put Myers' center field, you put McCormick, and left the
forty million dollars a year that youwould be saving on non big names right
there. You can put it towardTucker six years, Ragman six years,
and they will be signed before theseason starts. If we can get these
(03:01:58):
three guys or those positions, andI think that I'm pretty well rock gone
on this one. You heard ithere first, Boom, we heard it
here first. We appreciate it.Don you think you could be onto something?
Man? I think it's always it'salways going to be a big numbers
thing, especially with you know,we know that Jim Green doesn't want to
go over that luxury tax threshold. So he could be onto something right there,
(03:02:24):
Stone Cold Lock. Maybe it's goingto happen soon though. I mean
this is going to start to gohot and heavy pretty quick, right,
I would think, So, when'sthe tany making this decision? I don't
know. I don't know what kindof celebration as it after he makes this.
Think about this though for a second, real quick. It's gonna leave
you right at our next topic. You win power ball and you're driving to
Austin to pick it up. Youknow that, you're thinking, I just
(03:02:46):
want seven hundred million dollars. I'mdriving Austin a billion dollars. I'm driving
Austin to pick it up. Thatdrive there, You're like, oh my
gosh, yeah, oh Tony's goingthrough that now. I mean he's made
plenty. But think about that fora second. You're not going to be
a hundred million, right, whichis a big power ball. You're gonna
roll in and somebody's gonna pay youa half a billion dollars to play baseball.
(03:03:07):
Yeah, so when you go tosign that contract, tell me you
talking figured it's like I may bepoised, but this is above poise.
Now, Yeah, you wanted powerball, and I just what a feeling,
not just the money, but whata feeling of exuberance that must be.
It's all relative for how much. But you're talking you're gonna pass the
half billion dollar threshold to pitch andhit. It's a pretty good gig.
(03:03:31):
It's a lot of money. BoollDo you imagine you ain't giving it back?
I know you're definitely not sign thatcheck as soon as you can,
all right. Dave Roberts and theDodgers met with sho Hao Tawny. Dave
Roberts literally had one job and hecouldn't do it. That's next on Sports
Talk seven ninety The most refreshing wayto start your day. Shower, shave
(03:03:52):

God, Thank the good Lord.Thank you from the management team here at
Sports Talk seven nineteen. Back toSean Soundsbury, this is perfect. Kim
(03:04:22):
kiss me one more time. Icouldn't dream. Final segment here on a
Wednesday. Sounds like a little ChrisYoung or what is it? Kane Brown?
Kane Brown came Brown? How didyou know this cut? Because I
listened to it. I've heard thecut song. Okay, every now and
again you'll run into some country singersthat about eight of them sound the same
aby, right, Yeah, KaneBrown sounds like Chris Young's they got the
(03:04:46):
deep voice, Billy Turner, Turnerand Chris Young sounds like, right,
they got the deep deep boy.Yeah. Kane Brown? Nice, Yeah,
Kane Brown looks like Dak Prescott. When you have a girlfriend, if
you do, if depending on yourroster, when you get it, when
if you get if you get aroster, you call somebody from Triple A
(03:05:07):
or Double A or from the instructionalleague. You're teaching him how to hold
the bat. Do you? Whenyou guys go to the gym, you
refer to yourself on social media thiswool made. You can't even you can
barely get that out right picture ofthat dude who's I'm talking about jacked up
(03:05:28):
and they're like, and he can'tsting together. Oh yeah, I can't
scratch his ass because he's he's he'sgot more D ball in him than then
you've got water, a little littlean of rye and mama may have a
little bit of it too, right, Oh yeah, I jacked right.
And they're sitting in front of thereand they got that that facebook in the
in the mirror at the gym.Oh yeah, Hey, couples that lift
(03:05:50):
together stay together. And no,that's the d's the one. Right,
I'm out. I'm out. Youwant to talk about a deal breaker,
Let's go be swoll mates. Iquit out. Yeah. If I were
to ever have a first date ata gym or something and the girl was
(03:06:11):
like, hey, we should let'sgo lift together in the middle of the
workout, She's like, could youimagine this? We could be swoll mates.
I checked my ass out, SoI know you. You say,
I'm gonna run to the restaurant, never your gym membership and go somewhere else.
Come back swoll mates. Actually wedigress. Oh absolutely not, all
right. So ESPN's Jeff Passing hereported earlier, I think I believe it
(03:06:35):
was late last week, maybe yeah, probably late last week that Shohiotani was
going to be meeting with teams andthose meetings had to stay private, and
that if that meeting became public, shoe Hilltani was gonna hold that against the
interested club. So what happens?Dave Roberts, dumb ass says yesterday that
(03:06:58):
the Dodgers met with show Tany andthey think it went And he said,
I think it went well. Youliterally had one job. Dave Roberts,
don't talk about it. It's likefight club. You don't talk about fight
club? Is there? Yeah? That under the underground world, right,
the fight club will is Dave Robertsis, Oh, Tony gonna stick to
this apparently, So the Dodgers aredone. They're done. Else is talked
(03:07:24):
about it. Yet they're still aren'tthey the leading odds on candidate to get
him? Yeah? So did hedid? He get back on the phone,
say dude, I forgot. Hey, I'm so sorry, dude,
Freddy. I'm gonna call pres conferencecall up and say we really didn't meet
with him. Hey, guys, just can't thank to our resume. I
was just kidding. Yeah, Imean, in truth, I'm sure he
meant it harmless. Of course thatyou think, well, whenever old Tony
(03:07:46):
walks in and walks out, aren'tyou automatically gonna think that that went good,
right, You're going to try toconvince yourself went well, yeah,
if you're the Dodgers, it goeswell because you have a half a billion
dollars to pay. But come on, Dave, don't talk about it.
Yeah, just come in and shakehis can't say great and then say,
don't talk about it. Maybe let'swell even on time for canim? Remember,
don't tell anybody I'm here. Butcome on, Dave, let's go.
(03:08:07):
Hopefully that won't if you're the Dodgersthat that can you can? You
can you cut us a little slackif you're the Dodger if you're talking to
Toddy. He didn't really mean it, like to put pub out there,
just like, yeah, we metwith him. The boy. He's a
great young man and he's a greatplayer, blah blah blah. But I
wonder if he'll stick to that promise, if that is a promise, or
(03:08:28):
he'll stick to the mandate He sentout saying, if you talk about it,
but there really is no secret aboutit. We obviously knew he was
going to meet with him, rightright, But but even like guys like
Buster one, he put out anarticle last on on ESPN dot com talking
about the secrecy of all of themeetings with Shoeo Tani. Well, it
would be as some kind of mediacircus if it wasn't right. I mean,
(03:08:50):
this guy is the best player, the most unique player we've ever seen.
I can say ever in my career. Isn't he the most unique player
you've ever seen? Yeah? Andhe's all my years. Yeah. So
in this article, Buster h Onesays there is silence and threats, with
club executives rolling their eyes as theydescribed the warnings they have been given from
(03:09:11):
Otani's camp about publicly discussing their effortsto sign the most dynamic and popular talent
on Earth. Quote. Sorry, can't talk about the guy everybody is talking
about. End quote said one generalmanager, laughing, Yeah, you laughed.
Now is that general manager that's laughingone of the general managers who's out
of the out of the race.So he can do that, I got
I can guarantee you this. Hemay be laughing and rolling his eyes,
(03:09:35):
but guess what he's not going todo if he wants Otani. He ain't
gonna talk about it. Is well, so even even the general manager of
the Dodgers Brandon Gomes admitted a fewhours after Roberts spoke about it, saying
that he was surprised that Roberts confirmedthe meetings and refused to comment on the
meetings himself. There you go,so Dave Roberts it. Yeah. Can
you imagine them going, Hey,we got to choose between Otawni and you,
Dave, guess what we're gonna takeOtani. You're out because you were
(03:09:58):
told not to do you did.Hopefully doesn't come to that. But I
just and listen, that's why thisisn't the best kept secret in the world.
The teams, he's gonna go visit. But if the guy said one
of my requests and he doesn't seemlike an overly demanding guys, just let's
just keep it private. Is thatreally too much to ask? It's really
not that much to ask, isit so? John John Schneider and Ross
(03:10:22):
Atkins. John Schneider, the managerof the Blue Jays. Ross Atkins,
the general manager of the Blue Jays. They would not confirm, nor would
they talk about it, And theywould given multiple opportunities on a zoom call
on Tuesday, and they would notspeak about it. You know what that's
called the elementary school of follow instructions. Yes, it's not that hard,
it's you had one job, DaveRobert. Don't talk about it means don't
(03:10:46):
kind of talk about it, don'tconfirm any of it, don't say a
word about I'm sure when he gotup in his mind he's like, oh
my gosh, that's right, Iforgot the memo. I wasn't supposed to
mention. Showho Tony. If otherguys aren't t talking about it, they're
like I was. I'm going tofollow the letter of the law because I
want the best chance to sign theguy. Yeah, i'd probably say that,
(03:11:07):
Dave Roberts. That's that's the daywhen you overload your mouth with your
rear in and wish you didn't rightnow. Imagine hopefully, oh Tawi's,
for his sake, has a littlecompassion. Now now imagine now imagine like
next week he announces that he's signingwith I don't know the Giants. He
says, the Dodgers offered me moremoney, but they didn't follow the instructions
(03:11:28):
of my my camp. But theytalked about it when I specifically said,
don't do it. Now, thatwould be a hard line take with Dave
Roberts, what are you doing,Son, Well, that'd be that that's
probably more than a slap on thehand if you're the general manager and ownership.
Oh my goodness, the greatest playerin the league and maybe quite possibly
one of the best of all times, unique of all time, and you're
(03:11:50):
like, oh, dude, yougot to just put a muzzle on it.
Don't talk about it. Oh yougotta do is follow everybody else's league,
no one else talking. Feel badfor Dave Roberts because you know,
there was no like I'm gonna I'mpunking Hani with this. It was like
just like, oh my gosh,I didn't really think about with him and
it went well. Reporters are probablylike, what follow instructions? You ask
your players to do it, soyou got to do the same thing,
Dave, Come on, come on, son, David. Yeah, uh
(03:12:13):
oh, baby, Otani will bea little kinder jettler. He's already a
kind gentleman. Yeah he is.But if the camp says don't do it,
guess what you don't do if youwant it, unless he's follow a
little instruction, unless he's out,I want to see you can follow a
little instruction too right unless he's outpulling Robert. If you're about to pull
in about six hundred mil I sureenjoy that. That's gonna do it.
For The Shawan Salisbury Show, heis Shaan Salisbury. Our producer Emmanuel Elmore
