(00:01):
It's Wednesday morning at eight thirty nineand taking your calls to keep you a
smiling with the Healthy Place. Itstoo. What is going on, Sean?
How you doing right morning? Imean, it's springtime. I'm finally
just breathing it in. What aboutyou? I I the same man you

(00:22):
remember back in school on days.I don't know if if I know you
and I are from the even thesame part of the state, the same
neighborhood virtually, But I know myschool when I was in like you know,
first, second, third grade,on days like today, we would
eat our lunches outside, and Ifeel like this would be one of those
great days to go have lunch areal dude. I used to get with

(00:43):
my dudes and play some hackey sackand I just remember that before the school
bus came. First spring days. You know, you're crushing the ice with
the water going underneath it. Itis, majesty, it is. It's
an amazing day, and it's agreat day in it and it we're talking
a moment too, about a littlebit about the mission at Healthy Place,
as we talk about spring and renewal, and sometimes you forget about yourself and

(01:04):
it's a good time to assess whereyou're at, and of course think about
renewal for yourself before it gets thatpart of the conversation. A couple of
really important things to keep in myeyes. We talk with Tim O'Brien from
the Healthy Place. First off, phone lines they are open for you and
your question six to eight three twoone thirteen ten. That's three two one
thirteen ten. Love to get youon the air with Tim O'Brien this morning
from the Healthy Place, of course, a healthy Place locations on the west

(01:26):
side, Fitchburg and sun Prairie, and of course always online at find your
Healthy Place dot com. That's fineyour Healthy Place dot com. And again
phone lines are open at six eightthree two one thirteen ten. That's three
two one thirteen ten. And Tim, when folks get down in the air
with their great question, not onlyget some great answers and the great conversation
started, but you also incentivize thatquestion, don't you. Oh yeah,

(01:48):
I give a twenty five dollars giftcard just as a small token of my
appreciation. You know, questions Seanlead to answers, and there's few things
less important than somebody's health and beingthe CEO of your own health is a
responsibility. It's something that I wantto inspire people to do, to take
action on. And this is alittle thing that I can do to increase

(02:10):
and invite questions that help people.Because John, it's not just about the
people calling, it's about the communitylistening right now, and there are natural
alternatives at work. So if you'relistening right now and you battle something small,
medium, or large, now isa really good time to call to
just see what the natural world hasto say about it. It's a great
opportunity. Love to hear from youthis morning, and as Tim pointed out,

(02:31):
you'll be helping everybody by asking youa great question. It'd be great
to hear from you at six eightthree two one thirteen ten. That's six
eight three two one thirteen ten beforewe get to calls and emails, real
quick Tim, as we talk aboutspring and just kind of drawing parallels is
I think a lot of us arestarting to look forward to spending more time
outdoors, spending time with friends andfamily, and really thinking about how precious

(02:54):
life is. And really those opportunitiesthey don't afford the cells every day,
but when they do, you wantto be at your peak. And one
of the great things about the HealthyPlace is really helping people enjoy their life
overall by doing good things for themselvesso they can do good things for others.
Dude, think about it, man, I mean, health is a
gift. Life is a gift. They're both worth fighting for. And if

(03:16):
you don't have your health, thenit is very difficult to enjoy lout life,
and it's very difficult to give. And when you give to those around
you in love or care or generosity, you know, the more you give,
the more you receive. And solife can be such a miracle day
by day. Sounds cliche, butit's so true. Every breath we take

(03:38):
in when you look up at thesky and you see the clouds meet the
sunshine and the streams of light andthe air and the smell of spring in
the air, I mean, there'sa joy factor there that is difficult to
experience if you don't have your health. So at the Healthy Place, we
are trying to help people find theirhealthy place and we want to fan the
flame of their health. And there'sa lot of people suffering, dude,

(03:59):
chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression. This is very common, a
part of our community, and wekind of get used to it as if
there's nothing that we can do.And the truth is is there is something
you can do. Six three twoone thirteen Today, so to day to
take action six two one thirteen tengets you on the air with Tim O'Brien
from The Healthy Place. Speaking ofgetting on the air, head on down

(04:19):
the road to Deerfield and Linda joinsus. Linda, welcome to the program.
You're on the air with Tim O'Brienfrom the Healthy Placenda. Good morning,
how are you? I'm wonderful andTim, I got a question already,
buy a lot of product at yourstore, and I use mainly theory
naturally, but recently a friend ofmine told me to find out about amino
assid. Is there are things thatwe need that we're not getting in our

(04:40):
normal vitamin and are they safe totake with if you're on blood pressure medicine
or other medicines. Great, greatquestion. First, I always like to
say, hey, I'm not adoctor, not a pharmacist, so talk
to your medical professional when you havea question or concern around the medications you're
taking and the supplements that you take. The amino acids are the building blocks
of protein, and protein is thebuilding blocks of lean muscle and very much

(05:04):
so in the body. And sogrowth hormones, your body's natural growth hormones,
sleep, rest, rejuvenation, revitalization. So much comes through amino acids,
so I encourage those. When youlook at amino acids like acetoylcarnatine that
can strengthen your cognitive and mental clarity. Acetolcarnetine helps with your body's creb cycle,

(05:27):
which is your body's ability to takefood and translate that into energy.
You know, you have nutrients likeale methanine that can help with liver detoxification,
strengthening the liver. You know, the liver is the most tax organ
in the body, and so whenyou can strengthen the liver, it goes
a very long way. So thereis dozens of amino acids, and yes,
that's a very good question. Iencourage folks to consider taking a top

(05:50):
one or two amino acids for theirenergy, their recovery, anti aging benefits.
Glutamine, for example, is huge. You know, the whole move
coast aligning through your intestines is madeout of glutamines, the most common amino
acid in the body. So thebenefits are are numerous, and I think
that's a great point. People forgetabout the power of amino acids, and

(06:11):
that's kind of when you when youcome into the Healthy Place, you know,
folks will ask questions like that andwe like to ask them questions back.
Questions lead to answers, so youknow, how is your energy doing,
and how is your cognitive and yourmental clarity, how's your digestion and
that leads us to make recommendations thatare going to be the most beneficial for
you. So that helps kind ofguide the process. That's a great question.

(06:33):
Fantastic question, Linda. Thank youso much for the call, and
if you have more questions, youcan email Tim at find your Healthy Place
dot com. That's Tim tim atfind your Healthy Place dot com speaking.
You'll find your Healthyplace dot com. That's where you'll find more information about the
Healthy Place. Order online. Alsochat live with a wellness consultant or even
better, stop on in. They'dlove to see a west side of Madison,
fitchburger Son Prairie and the phone linesare open six to eight three two

(06:56):
one thirteen ten. That's six toeight three two one thirteen ten and Becca
joins us This morning, Becca, welcome to the program. You're on the
air with Tim O'Brien from The HealthyPlace. Hey, good morning, Becca.
How are you. Hi? I'mgood. How are you? I'm
doing pretty good. Beautiful morning, right, It's it's an amazing morning.
So my question is for my son. He is nine years old and he

(07:17):
was diagnosed with ADHD about ten monthsago. We went with the you know,
his pediatrician put him on some medication. He was put on the CONCERTA.
Unfortunately those pharmacies have been out ofthat quite a bit recently. Wow.
Um, So he's really really struggling. So we're just looking at potentially

(07:40):
some like holistic alternatives vitamins. Irecently read, you know, you know,
supplementing was like fullate or B twelveor vitamin D might help offset some
of the symptoms. So it justkind of wants to get your thoughts on
that. Yeah. Absolutely, Andhow old did you say? He is?
Nine? Nine years old? Okay? Any swallow pills okay? Or

(08:01):
oh yeah, okay? So Iwould recommend I mean, first and foremost,
the most studied nutrient on the planetis vitamin D. In number two
is fish oil and fish oil fourADHD in higher levels of epa dha,
not these lower levels that you'd findin common kind of big box settings.
Three thousand milligrams of epa dha perday for an adult, and a kiddo

(08:28):
could take fifteen hundred milligrams. Sothere's a product by Barleins called Omega Swirl
and there's a key lime, there'slike a orange creamsicle. So they're very
tasty because fish oil in general canbe nasty, and so the Omega Swirls
buy Barlein's taste very good. Kidslike them. And what I like about
it is in one table spoon youcan get that fifteen hundred milligrams of epa

(08:50):
dha. Product Number two I'd bringup is one called Brain Battery. It
has all your top brain foods.Nolan one of our top wellness consultants on
our team here, that's his veryfavorite product because he just notices and feels
such a cognitive lift on it.So he's telling everybody for a nine year

(09:11):
old's actually great. So serving size, you could do one capsule and that
would help with the focus factor ofthings. And then lastly something for calming.
You said ADHD, So how isthe hyperactive side of the battle.
Yeah, that's probably one of hismain symptoms, is a hyperactivity and the
impulse control. Yeah, yep.So nutrients like magnesium. So we have

(09:35):
a product called magnesium Ease and it'sa form of magnesium called magnesium biscliscinate.
So it's very calming and it absorbsreally well. So he could take that
in a capsule if he prefers apowder. Natural Vitality makes a magnesium called
natural calm and it is a magnesiumcitrate, and that too is very calming.

(09:58):
So magnees um something like the brainbattery, and then fish oil.
Those three or top three recommendations wegive in these circumstances, and I do
really think it'd help him. Anddoes he take them all together like in
the morning at night, like whenwith food without food, does it make
it different? Yep. So allthree of those are very gentle on the

(10:18):
stomach, so I wouldn't have concernsaround empty stomach or full stomach. So
you could do that either way.And I would say all three of those
once or even twice a day.Twice a day is a little bit more
of a therapeutic dose. So ifyou're if he's sort of suffering. I
mean, you don't have this pharmaceuticaldrug to reach for, and you know
he's struggling maybe in school, you'restruggling at home with them. You know,
I have four kids, so Iget it. Taking these all three

(10:41):
of these twice per day would havea more therapeutic impact for the little guy.
And you can email me to Timat find your Healthy Place dot com.
I can shoot you links on theseand we can carry on the conversation
too, because I don't want torush it. Another really good question,
Becca, Thank you for the call. Let's head out to McFarland and Holly
joins us. Holly, welcome tothe program. You have a question about
siasis. Hey, good morning, good morning. I just had a question

(11:05):
versus or in addition to taking youknow, with prescriptions, what things could
the Healthy Place offer for someone sufferingfrom plex psoriasis. Yeah, so great,
great question. Anything on the skinis like a direct window to your
liver. So there is a productcalled Viva the Liver that we sell by
Lively Vitamin co. It is stackedwith all your top nutrient content for strengthening,

(11:30):
regenerating, and cleansing detoxifying the liver. The liver is like the most
toxed organ in the body. Soif you can strengthen that bad boy again,
anything on your skin is a directwindow to your liver. Also,
your gut plays such a huge rolewith psoriasis, so a good quality probiotic.
We have one called Great Guts thatis Sacrimices Billardi. It has your

(11:54):
prebiotic content, multiple strains of yourbiffinam bacterium for your large intestine, lacto
scillus strains for your small intestine, and that combo for your gut. Health
plays a real big role on anythinggoing on with the skin. Third,
I know, I'm fire hose inyou're here. Third is inflammation, So
inflammation plays a big role with skinconditions. There's a product called Kira Health

(12:18):
that is one of your most bioavailableabsorbable forms of percumin that we really know
about, and that cleans the bodyof inflammation on a daily basis. So
those three, because psoriasis is Ibring up three products. I know it's
a lot when people are battling psoriasis. It is a battle. It is
a tough one. So you reallyneed as much therapeutic nutrients that you can

(12:39):
to get a handle on that.So those three products or types of products,
I've seen consistent success over the years. I've been using that setup of
some kind for about fifteen years nowand it's been real successful. And then
topically, because I actually struggle withsiasis myself, I use Wild Theory is
a CBD cream for topical benefit. And again, you can shoot me an

(13:01):
email Tim at find your Healthy Placedot com or hit our live chat feature
on our website Find your Healthy Placedot com and we can send you links
on those two because I know it'sa lot really good questions this morning,

(13:43):
We'll continue our conversation with Tim.Take your call and probably get some emails
next. As asked the experts withthe Healthy Place continues right here on thirteen
ten w ibi Oka touched thirteen tenwiba and ask the experts hanging out with

(14:03):

fine, you're a healthy Place dotcom. Of course you can always stop
on it again. They'd love tosee it, whether it's the West side
Fitchburg or sun Prairie location. Chatwith some wellness consultants there or again online
it finds your Healthy Place dot com. That's fine, You're healthy Place dot
com. So let's talk a littlebit about your background. And I know

(14:24):
you win becky Um started the HealthyPlace. Uh, how do you guys?
How long have you been ten?Can you believe that? Dude?
Thirteen year anniversary this June. Wow, congratulate that is exciting and folks,
and you started out with the shopright in Fitchburg and obviously you've grown.
The website is doing well and peoplelove the love the working with wellness cul

(14:46):
They really love your mission at theHealthy Place. Let's talk a little bit
about that some of the great benefitsand part of the reason why so many
folks have responded to what you guysare doing. Yeah, dude, you
know what started. My mom battledcancer and much of her recovery was through
natural turn That's what opened her eyesto this whole natural alternatives thing. And
she got a job at a healthfood store when I was just the little
guy, and I'd come and sitin this back room with my mom managing

(15:09):
this health food store for hours andhours and hours growing up. And so
I just watched firsthand these testimonies oneafter another. You know, Susie Q
would come in with a chronic paincondition and I'd watch my mom work with
that customer for a few months andresults would happen. And so I just
saw this thousands of times growing up. So it just got into my DNA
where I had passion and belief aroundthis natural alternative thing. And then Becky's

(15:33):
mom went through a similar health crisisthat led her into the natural alternative space.
And so back in two ten,we're like, dude, let's start
a health food store. Let's impactFitchburg. That's where it started as our
Fitchburg store and the goal was toimpact in power and educate every customer to
learn, grow and create a lifelongfoundation of health and wellness. That's our

(15:54):
mission statement and that has just keptgrowing over the years. You know,
I had enough folks that say, hey, this has really help us.
Can you plant a store in sunPrairie or west side of Madison. And
so now we have three stores, super grateful. We have this army of
wellness consultants and we hire Sean forintegrity and passion far more than knowledge or
sales skills, because you can trainknowledge sales skills. It's more about getting

(16:18):
the customer what they need and theresults take care of themselves. And so
this integrity passion piece is something thatyou'll be met with when you come into
our stores. You'll see these shiningfaces. You know, I can see
them right now. They are foryou and they are passionate. And we
work as like a hive. Wehave a communication platform called Hangouts that when
we have great breakthrough or success,we share this information on our wellness consultant

(16:42):
thread. We share breakthroughs because we'reon a mission to change lives. And
there's so many people. I hadno idea, so many people suffering from
serious health conditions and they're stuck ina corner sean. Sometimes they're heavily medicated.
They don't know what to do,they don't know what to change.
The medical system may have told themthat they are stuck. There is nothing

(17:03):
more you can do, and thereare natural alternatives, dude, that work.
And I see this under my ownhand every single day. I see
recommendations that we've made as a team, impact empowered change of life. You
know, something very small can besomething very big to you know the you
know somebody that's battling pariasis, orsomebody that's battling pain in their neck.
It's every day. It doesn't goaway. And there's natural alternatives that work.

(17:26):
So we're just not on a missionto shout it from the rooftops.
We want to educate people to bethe CEO of their own health. Take
their health into their hands, geta team around you. You have your
medical doctor, you have your pharmacists, you have your chiropract you're actupuncturists,
and you have a wellness consultant orsomebody like a wellness consultant that you can
trust, that that can guide youin the supplement space because there's good,
better, best out there. There'sa lot of corners being cut. The

(17:48):
FDA doesn't regulate our industry, soit's vital to find nutrients, forms of
ingredients, brands and people that youcan trust because you know you don't have
time. Sean Priba doesn't have timeto spend forty hours a week research and
this stuff. But this is allwe do at the Healthy Places research this
stuff, and we're on a missionto impact Madison, and that's really fun.
Today is the day Madison, Wisconsin, the country and some great information.

(18:11):
Great opportunity by the way, Alsowith Mother's Day coming up this weekend,
great gifts for mom. I knowyou guys have gift cards and other
things. What a nice little littlething to put in the card for mom
to really get her the opportunity tocheck out the Healthy Place to do something
positive for her as well, dosomething great for yourself. Stop on in.
They'd love to see a west sideof Madison, Fitchburg and Son Prairie

(18:32):
Online find your Healthy Place dot com. That's fine, Your Healthy Place dot
com. And again they'd love tosee you, whether it's Fitchburg, West
side of Madison or sun Prairie.Well as consultants are standing by to help
take care of you. And ofcourse I mentioned, of course the gift
cards to help take care of momor somebody else special in your life.
Get you got to give a shoutout to the moms. Just want to
say, if you're a mom rightnow you're listening, God bless you.
