Eight oh five, thirteen ten, wib A and ESK the
Experts brought to you by Larsen Home Services Online Larsenhome
Services dot com. That's l A R S O N
Home Services dot com tell phone number six oh eight
five three five forty three forty three. That's six oh

(00:21):
eight five three five forty three forty three. And joining
us this morning from Larsen Home Services is Andrew Larson.
And Andrew, I've got to guess you've been busy the
past week or so, haven't you. You're always busy, but.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Especially it's been super busy. But I mean, how can
I ignore the fact that I was thinking about what
we were going to talk about, and then that song
came on and I got transported back to the summer
of nineteen ninety seven, cruising around in my buddies sunfire
convertible rock into some sublime at thinking that man, we

(00:56):
had it all so anyway, that really like that.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
One life was good, life was simpler, and then we
grow up and things get and I know, one of
the great things about working with Larstom Services is you
make things simple and easy for folks and really like
that stuff. But you know, as you get older, you
get things like houses and mortgages and responsibilities and all that. Yeah,

(01:21):
let's talk about Obviously, we've been talking on the show
here about the severe weather we had last week. Hail
damage down in Edgerton, where I live, got pounded pretty hard.
You were telling me your guys between Edgerton, Evansville and
Platteville have been have been really helping people out, trying
to get things back normal for them.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah. Did we not just talk about insurance like hmmm
last Wednesday? Yeah, she feels like we just did, yes,
and then Friday this happened. I promise I did not
do this. Here's the deal. As far as hale goes

(02:01):
in the Madison area, this is as bad as I've seen. Okay,
this is this is no doubter hail. This is no
doubt that if you were in this path, you've got damage.
I mean you obviously, Sean, you saw the size of
the hail. You were there. I've seen houses with all

(02:23):
their solar panels smashed out. And let's get something straight.
Those solar panels are made to with stand hail. YEA,
Like they don't just get smashed out that it was
like taking a ballpeen hammer and hitting them as hard
as you could, whole streets with cars where all the
windows were smashed out. So this was a very severe storm.

(02:43):
I could see gutters almost ripped off the house from
the street. Is how big this hail was. It was
anywhere from two to I've seen as big as like
three and a half inch hail, so Edgerton, Evansville, Platteville,
southern parts of varn Ford, Adkinson, Jane Jefferson, you know,

(03:05):
made it. There was some bad damage on the north
part of Iguanago and Palmyra goes over by Milwaukee for
those that don't know, we have an office over there,
so we're dealing with it over there too. So here's
the deal. I know we talked about storms and hail
and insurance and where it was going. And I hope
and pray that all of these people because it was

(03:26):
you know, we're talking thousands of houses affected. I hope
these people aren't going to get a rude awakening when
they try to file an insurance claim. And this is
what I've tried to explain to my reps, is that
you have to understand that nobody in the past, almost nobody,
most people in the path of this probably weren't planning
on getting a new roof and because you guys honestly

(03:49):
have Jane's or I'm sorry, but Edgerton and Evansville and
Platteville have actually all been hit within the past two
years and a lot of roofs have been done. So
a lot of these people are going through this for
the second time within twelve to twenty four months. And
I can tell you what's going to happen. People are
going to start getting dropped by their insurance companies. If

(04:10):
that's what happens, they're going to say, Okay, we're gonna
pay for this one, but now you're done. So this
is why we take a complete This is what I
will tell people if you're listening in those areas. I've
been in both of all three of those cities the
past two days, and we had fourteen reps down in
Edgerton in Evansville on Friday just trying to get to
our customers. I can't tell you how many different roofing

(04:34):
companies have set up camp in Edgerton alone. I think
I counted like sixteen different trucks. It was like a
monster truck rally. Yeah, literally, a monster truck rally and
I have a pretty big truck, but it made me
feel like I had a small truck. Anyway, that's either here.
There rivers life big trucks. There's a lot of different

(04:56):
companies out there, and I'm not coming on here to
say that any of the companies are bad. That is
not what I'm doing. But a lot of them are
storm companies and they are out there to get the
storm work, to work with the insurance company. They're gonna
knock on the door, ask if you want an inspection,
tell you to sign a contingency and file an insurance claim.
And that's not the worst thing in the world. But
here's what I can tell you. We've been talking a

(05:18):
lot on this show that the weather patterns have changed,
We've been receiving more hail. And if you're someone listening
that has had a claim in the past twelve to
twenty four months, this one isn't one you can skip
because this is bad damage. This isn't like iffy, This
isn't like Okay, cool, we get a new free roof. No,
this has to be replaced, and it doesn't have to

(05:40):
be replaced tomorrow or in next week. It's just going
to need to be replaced. Sometime this year, a lot
of people will get dropped from their insurance companies. So
here's the stance that we take. Before you go out
and sign a contingency with a storm restoration company, have
us come over, because we take the stance of we

(06:02):
don't want you to get a throwaway roof. Honestly, I
drive around Evansville and Edgerton and I called my business
partner and I said, man, honestly, it pains me that
there's literally thousands of roofs and all the shingles are
just going to go in the landfill. They're literally just

(06:22):
replaceable roofs. So before you go and do that, listen
to one of my reps showed you what armor shield
is and what f wave is. Because I've got a
great testimonial that we're gonna throw up on our Facebook page.
To a customer in Evansville who had a roof put
on by us last Monday. Oh, armor shield three inch

(06:47):
hil absolutely no damage. Nice, So he lucked out, but
he put that armor shield roof on because of this reason,
he's been hit with hail before. He does not want
to go through the process again. Now there's no gear.
I can't guarantee you that it's not going to get damaged.
I mean, if the hail is big enough and the

(07:08):
wind strong enough, it'll damage anything. But that was pretty
significant hail with pretty significant wind. And he literally took
photos and sent it to us and said, thank you
so much. Roof was done on Monday Friday, hit with
this hail and he had the hail in his hand
and he said, I have no damage on my roof.
That's awesome. Is that roof going to cost you more

(07:28):
than the insurance company's going to pay? Absolutely? It is.
And F wave F wave is literally guaranteed to not
be damaged by hail six inches or smaller.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
That's impressive.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I mean, is it's not gonna get hurt. Yeah. Is
that going to cost you more than the insurance roof? Absolutely?
But what is it going to cost if you have
to replace this roof and your insurance company drops you,
and now you're paying higher premiums and you have a
massive deductible and you don't want to go through this again.
It's not fun doing this. It's loud, it's dirty, it's messy,

(08:05):
it's not the funnest experience in the world. And when
we're dealing with insurance companies that have already had to pay,
they're not going to be happy about it. They're not
in the in business to lose money. They have to
make money to maintain those big, beautiful buildings that we
all see them. Just the fact that all I'm saying is,
let just let us show you what we have, because

(08:27):
none of those other companies out there are going to
show you any different type of roof. They just want
to get a cheap roof put on your home that
the insurance company's going to pay for. Not saying that
they're going to do a bad job. A lot of
them probably do a great job, but they're not going
to give you options. We want to give you options
because we want your lot, your roof to last a
long long time.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
What's interesting is, too, is when you had you and
I started talking this morning, I went over to the
website LARSENALM Services dot com. I was actually looking at
the f wave because I know you've mentioned them in
the past, and you wonder too, if it's just a
matter of time before insurance companies, in order to be ensured,
you're gonna have to have something like this on your
ome because you start seeing damage after damage. We reached
that point where it's like, all right, the old way,

(09:08):
the old type of shingle just not just not applicable
to our area. And you see this type of damage,
you never know when it's gonna hit, where it's gonna hit.
I had the feeling on Friday. I was watching the
storms move move through and I literally thought, Wow, for once,
Edgerton's gonna be spared, and oh no, we were.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Not in this. Guys are like the storm beltink.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
I've hit like tornadoes twice, go right up the road
from my house. My son crazy, Yeah, it's my son's
been in the basement of his high school three times
because of tornado. So it's, uh, it's it is crazy,
and it's it's as we talk with Andrew each and
every week. One of the things you know, and we've
been talking with Andrew for years and years. As you
know Andrew and Larst Home Services, you know the name,

(09:49):
you know they're going to be around. You know that
they're going to give you great options. The other great
thing is have him come out do that roof inspection.
It's not gonna cost you anything. It's not high priceure
at all. They'll give you the information you, as a homeowner,
can make that informed decision about what you want done
with your home and how you want to proceed. Today's
an important day. Give them a call at Larstom Services,
especially if you hit ale, even if it wasn't the

(10:09):
giant stuff, even it was smaller stuff. You just don't
know until you know. Have them come on out telephone
number six oh eight five three five forty three forty three.
Call them today six oh eight five three five forty

A R. S o N Home Services dot com. Andrew,
it's always great talking with you. Thank you to by

(10:30):
the way for reaching out to me. I know you
guys last week, right as this happened, I got an
email from my wife received an email from you right
away saying, hey, let's talk about make sure that your
roof is okay. Thank you so much for doing that.
And that's the other great thing too with Larstom Services.
You keep your customers in mind when things happen and
make sure that they know yeah, And that's a really
great thing about working with Andrew. Andrew, you have a

(10:51):
great day. And take care and we'll be talking soon,
all right.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
We'll see you next week again.
