John audis with you in state rivalry game between Wisconsin
and Milwaukee.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Let's take a look at the lineups.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
First, for Kylett Reclicks center, fourteenth season for former Badgers player,
former Badger's assistant, is one and one this year with Milwaukee.
Jada Williams, a five to nine red shirt junior guard,
gets to start. Peyton Reklis's five to ten and Red
Shirts sophomore Madison fitz given five.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Six freshman guard eight points per game.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
So Bia Rampulla is a red Shirts sophomore and five
foot eleven averaging six points per game. And Jeury buwalda
six foot junior forward fourteen and a half per game
for Milwaukee. For the Badgers, out of first year coach
Robin Pinchtin, they're one and one this year.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Destiny Howe, a.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Six foot grad transfer from Howard, Dora Zaya sixty three
forward from Croatia, Ronnie Porter, the five to fourth senior
from Saint Paul, Kira Daniels, the six foot junior transfer
from Missouri State, and Lacy Steele, the five to eleven
junior transfer from NC State, gets the start. Opening tip
off is controlled by Wisconsin and the Badgers will move
it right to left to begin, it's Ronnie Porter handing

(01:01):
off over to Steele.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Steele finds Daniels.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Daniels standing the top of the key for the Badgers
goes over to Steele right side. Three is off the
market's no good rebound parraled by the lackey and a
foul as the Milwaukee Panthers player hits the floor. That
was Peyton Recklets. She is the daughter of head coach
Kyle Recklets, now our sophomore red shirt sophomore season. Foul

(01:28):
called against the Badgers. So Wisconsin picks up its first
fall as a team, and that's Ronnie Porter's first there
comes to Milwaukee into the time across the timeline into
the front court. Panther's come in with a one in
one record as to the Badgers. Here's Recklets a drive
and to stop at the right avel depended by Daniels
tries to bounce inside the paint for rampoola and it's stolen.

(01:49):
Steele comes out of there for Wisconsin throws at the corner.
Here is Daniels angling in, stops kicks out Howell quick
three straight on and it's nothing but that for Destiny Howell.
Wiscott's and his leading scorer this season is Howell, and
she puts three on the board for the Badgers. Now
a quick whistle and another foul called against Wisconsin, and

(02:11):
that's quarter second. So Porter picks up two fouls in
the first fifty five seconds of today's game.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Howell to six foot grad.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Transfer from Howard, averaging fifteen and a half points per game.
She had fourteen on Saturday at Marquette. And now Ronnie
defending in the backcourt, pumps the ball handler that's given
and gets called for a foul.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
That is team foul number three.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
And Ronnie Porter in the first minute of this game
has picked up three personal fouls, and that's going to
put some pressure on the Badger's lineup tonight. Nicky Kirsten,
the five eight freshman point guard, is now into the
game for the Badgers. So Ronnie gets three personal fouls
in the first sixty seconds of this game. It's given

(03:07):
trying to work on Kirsten, throws to the left side,
Rampoola rises for three over Daniels. It's an air ball
and it goes right into the hands of Steel, right
into the hands of Steel.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
And here we go.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Steel has it outside left jump pass inside for Shahia
her hands. It's a turnover. Adgers turn it over this season.
It's seventeen times per game. I'm down to the ball
pretty well. Saturday at Marquette, here's Fitzgibbon bouncing high post
where it's caught by Boo Walden, leading score for the
Panthers this season. Hands off to Williams. Twelve on the

(03:43):
shot clock. Williams defendive by Steel top of the arc
to bou Walden.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Now Shahia defense. The freshman bu Walda has it with
five of the shock. Talk to a ride.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Wreck Let's travel as she made her move on Destiny Howell.
It's a turnover by the Panthers Milwaukee. Meanwhile, they average
twenty one and overs per games so far through their
first two contests of the year. Here comes Kirsten front
court four Wisconsin, and actually check it. Ronnie Porter actually

(04:12):
has two fouls. They gave one of those fouls shot
up and in by Destiny Howel. The two point are good.
It's five nothing Wisconsin, So check it on.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Ronnie Porter.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
She has two personal files. I thought they called her
for three, but they gave one to Jaya so Zaya
playing with one file right now, seven thirty two to play.
First quarter, five nothing start for the Badgers. They scored
the first five points Saturday at Marquette. Here's Rampoola crossing
over on Daniel Steele comes over, puts a hand on
the ball, kick out directly. It's the three, rolls off
the rim and it's collected by Howell. Here comes Destiny

(04:45):
front court, over to the right side. She's got all
five Badger's points, hoops it inside the Shaya SPAN's down
all on the right and puts it off the window
for two. The assist by Howell and the finish by
the freshman Doria Jaya, and it's a seven nothing start
for Johnson. Seven minutes to play. In the opening quarter,
Milackee has it pluck court. It's been s given, defitted

(05:06):
by Kirsten, gets a screen by Williams and hands off
left wing to reckless Panthers basketball six fifteen county to
go in the.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
First to the right side.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
It's Williams out Daniels defended out on top of the key.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Williams trying to direct traffic. Shot clocks at five.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Now she has to make a move Doon Daniels works
into the lane, high float or no good does not
hit the rim. It's a shot clock violation. Badgers did
grab the miss, but it'll be Wisconsin ball. Robin Pixon saying,
we should have got off, got that rebound and gotten
into transition. Looked like they have the rebound before the

(05:42):
shot clock violation, but nevertheless it's Wisconsin ball. Kirston hartbounce
top of the ark. Tajaya, Badger's freshman forward spins a
pass over to Howell howl with five of the seven
batcher points you'll pull up for three comes up just
short off the front iron rebound reckless Panther's basketball and
Recleis throws it out of bound us right toward the

(06:03):
Badger's bench, and now gift to Chenna will come in
for Doya Zaya when Shanna coming off for first double
double off the season. Sha Bola now enters the game
as well. Lacy Steele to the bench. Here At Daniels
to the bench, Doria Jaya to the bench. Brianna Ware
comes in for the Badgers too, so three to the bench.

(06:23):
Three into the the game. Now for Robin Pinchton, and
a little bit of a delay here. I'm not exactly
sure why I think we're good to go back to
with Channa real quick. She's a senior transfer from Southern Illinois.

(06:44):
Was all MVC first team. Had a great game against
the Golden Eagles, eleven points, ten rebounds. She was pretty
dominated to have some nice moves around the basket. Here's
where rising for three straight on and it rolls in.
So the Badgers hit their second three pointer of the
first quarter. Five point fifty three to go in the
first it's ten nothing with scottson and it forces a

(07:06):
Milwaukee time out, time out by Kyle Rucklets and the Panthers. Well,
this in state rivalry game has started off great for
the Badgers. Ten nothings start in the first quarter. We'll
take a break and come back with more. Here in
the first it is the Badger's ten the Panthers nothing.

(09:36):
The Badgers have made four to six from the floor
and Wisconsin currently enjoined a ten to nothing lead over Milwaukee.
I fifty three to play in the opening quarter, Panthers
are zero for two from the floor, So following the
time out by Milwaukee, Panthers, bring it front court. Cassidy

(09:57):
deel thought gold with it hel Falco.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
See for Williams.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Here's Williams bringing it back out with the dribbles back
to Cassidy del Falco. Now A bounts high post to
Rampuola out to the right side. A three by Williams
rolls in so that stops a ten to nothing run
and Milwaukee comes out with the first three of the game.
We'd start for the Batchers up by seven. Lucena has

(10:23):
it out on top, defended by bu Waldo, spins it
to the right side and where got tripped up on
her move and a bo called against Milwaukee five fourteen
to play for a quarter. That is Cassidy DeFalco. Here's

(10:46):
where boutsing Uchenna mid post right Luchena a couple of
dribbles downhill to the rim, flips it.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Up and in so smooth around the cup. Gifts du
Chenna for two.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Fifty seven percent from the floor through her first two
GAMESA stands the lead to twelve to three, four fifty
five in county to play first quarter. Here at the
Coal Center, it bou Walda defended by Uchenna on top
of the arc, hands off a drive downhill by Rampula
to the left corner of three is missed by Kafalco

(11:16):
and it's picked up by Uchenna where front court stops.
Fin's Ucena top of the key, hands off it's Bowling,
gives it up to where where bounce inside It's Uchnna
in the paint back out Howel has it now. Howell
turns the corner up with the right hand. It's going
to roll in smooth move to the basket for destiny Howel,
and she gives the Badgers a fourteen to three lead,

(11:37):
largest lead of the game. Now for the UW Howls
up to seven points on three or four shootings. Here's
Cassidy DeFalco, hand it off to Loman, bounce rampula out
on top, mounce high post for Bualda Chenna defense.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Bu Walda lost the basketball. It's loose on the floor.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Bowland comes out of there with for the Badgers turnover
Milwaukee court.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
It's where where.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Switching directions racing to the basket. Too strong on the
overlay and it's picked up by Williams. Where was ready
to come up from behind and tip that basketball out
of the hands of Williams, but heads up by her
teammates alerting her to that fact. Now Williams tries for
three in the left corner over where, and it's in.
That's SHANEA. Williams, a red shirt junior from Mason City, Iowa.

(12:26):
Five points per game this season, coming off seven points
seven boards as well against Northern Illinois. Last time out
for Milwaukee, Uchenna ketch us in the lanes. Uchenna got
it poked away from Cassidy de Falco, who's racing the
other side, stops down low against Howell, kicks out. Loman
steps into a three over Chenna. It pops out, no
good rebound, Kirsten Bacher's ball, pretend to go. First quarter,

(12:49):
it's an eight point Wisconsin lead. Bowland a quick three
on the right wing, and that one's through third three
pointer of the first quarter from Bucky. That's Shaye Bowlan.
She is a transfer from Illinois. Bowlan coming off an
effort at Marquette in which she played seventeen minutes at
three points and two blocks. So Bowlan hits that three

(13:11):
mix at seventeen to six. Now u Chenna with a
foul on Loman out on top two forty six to
go in the first quarter, and now an entire line
change for the Badgers. Five in five out for Robin
Pinchtin's team. Coach Pinchton saying that as we get to
the third and fourth games of the season, this is
a stretch of the third of four games to start

(13:31):
the year, all within a span of eight days. If
they got four games and eight days to start the season,
she said, yeah, minutes are going to be affected as
we go deeper into today, tonight rather and then on
Wednesday against Bowling green The Badgers will play Green Bay
on Sunday, two forty three to go. In this first quarter,
Porter defending out on top. Kendall Barnes, who came off
the bench, had a big game against Northern Illinois.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Now Loman steps out from eighteen feet, don't go threebound.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Daniels Kira switches directions, has it down the middle of
the court, spins to the right corner. It's deal with
it cross court near size Spasofski with the basketball driving
left baseline. Here's Jovanna Spasovski got tied up, kicks out Porter,
has it left corner. Porter then slices through traffic up
at the right hand. It's short and the rebound by Milwaukee.

(14:17):
It's Barnes out of there with it to five to
seven red shirt freshmen at seventeen points on seven of
eight shooting at Northern Illinois. Now she'll handle the rocket.
Two minutes to play first quarter, it's a seventeen to
six Wisconsin advantage. Spasovski download trying to fight with Barnes
for position in a foul call against Johanna. Jovanna Spassovski

(14:38):
is a sophomore second season now at Wisconsin. She's from Belgrade, Serbia.
Last season about nine minutes per game played in twenty
three games for the Matchers. Picks up the foul here,
seventeen to six Wisconsin. Just under two minutes to play
in this quarter, and that is team foul number five.
We're in the first so two at the free throw

(14:59):
line now for Milwaukee. In the first one dances through
for Barnes. Kenda Barnes out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Four state
appearances in her high school for her high school team.
Rather second one is in she also ran track and
won at state in the four by four hundred accomplished athlete.

(15:20):
She'll make two at the free throw line, make it
seventeen to eight Wisconsin leading the ball Daniel's right corner
rises for three. It pops out, no good ball tipped
in the hands of the Panthers and out of there
with its Barnes left right front court right. It's Barnes
switching direction now going straight to the room with the
left hand. Shah Ya affected that shot. It's no good
rebound Milwaukee. Steele comes away with the block doown low

(15:40):
on the Panthers and then stepping through two defenders and
is at a walk. I think it is a walk
against Gussie Pugh, the ret hir softball who had gotten blocked.
Let's see who they give blocks two in the Stanton
in the box score and the stats in the box
score here sure if they actually did give a block
or not look like a block down low. No Badgers

(16:04):
with blocks. So here's a three Daniels. That one's short
straight on rebound grab a two hands by Barnes outlet
near sideline. Loman got her pocket picked for a moment,
recovers and that was Steel who almost came away with
the force turnover there. Now the Panthers will have the
basketball one to wait to play. First quarter, seventeen to eight,
Wisconsin with the lead Hugh twenty five feet away from

(16:28):
the rim, hands off to Loman. This is Grace Loman.
She's a senior working on Spasovsky. She's a sophomore. Double
team down loading the post. Turn around Loman. That was
a nice move and she hits it from outside the
right lane. Grace Loan about two and a half points
per game for the Panthers this season. We're under a
minute to go in the first. Here's Ronnie Porter for
the Badgers, right down the middle of Main Street. Float her,

(16:50):
no good and the rebound saved by jah Ya. Saved
on the sideline by Daniel Wisconsin with the fresh possession
steal for three on the right, no good, long rebound
picked up. They're line by Silas. Here's Sila's front court.
Gives it up to Lowman and they're going to reset.
Twenty four seconds to go. The Locke has the basketball.
We're in the first seven point Bacher's lead white screen

(17:12):
out on top for Barns.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
She'll drive to her right, throw back to her left.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Approaching ten seconds on the shot clock, thirteen on the
game clock, and a whistle, and that's a turnover by
milache I was looking at the clock when the whistle
blew and I didn't even see what happened the turnover
thinking they call a walk there against recklets. Badgers will

(17:38):
roll it into the front court, picked up by Porter.
Ten seconds to play in the first here's Ronnie Porter
at the free throw line, guides to the corner to
cond to Sposofski with four on the clock, and she'll
trill the three, her first basket of the season.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
And that's how the first quarter will end.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Sposofski hits the Badger's fourth three pointer of the first
and after the first ten minutes, it's the Badger's by
ten Wisconsin twenty Milwaukee ten here with one quarter in
the books from the rail Transport radio booth rail Transport.

Night's Game brought you by a rail transport for every
mile of your truck driving career. Learn more at rail

It's an in state rivalry game. The Badger store the
first ten points of the first core, led by as
many as eleven points in the opening frame. Right now,
it's a twenty to ten Wisconsin lead after quarter number one.

(20:09):
Destiny Howell, who is Wisconsin's leading scorer this year at
fifteen and a half points per game, another great start
for her. She's got seven points in the first quarter,
and the Batchers as a team hit four to three
pointers in that first quarter, four to nine shooting the
three point shot. Ronnie Porter did pick up a couple
of fowls within the first sixty seconds for the Batcher,

(20:31):
So Nicky Kurston, the Bacher's point guard, will start.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
For the Badger's Here in.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
The second quarter, Boland defending Huwalda, who's pass intended for
Recklets is stolen by Wisconsin. It's Lily kron front court
finds Boland right baseline jumpers short. Boland, fighting for her
own rebound, got tied up by Recklets. They both fall
on the floor and a help ball possession arrow favors
the Badgers. Just underway in the second quarter, both teams

(21:03):
come in one and one records. The Badgers with a
win over Oakland to start the season, then lost in
overtime Saturday at Marquette.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
They really had that.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Golden Eagles team, a team that won twenty one games
last season, picked second in the Big East. They had
him for most of that game. Howel on the give
and go lay up good with the left hand. Destiny
Howell puts it in downlow on the left with her
left hand and the Badgers score is Uchenna downloading the posts.
Who found Howel cutting to the rim, back to or

(21:34):
cut on Uchenna who steps in front of the pass
and a skial just underway. Second quarter, Howel mid range
on the right throws it over to Crown on the
left out on top. Kirston Walked made a move to
the basket, was going to get it to Ochenna and
a turnover by the Badgers. Freshman stored over two thousand,

(21:56):
one hundred points in high school than Nikki Kurston twenty
one ninety five. That's amazing average eighteen and a half
points per game at Montino.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Catholic High School. Who's out of Riverwoods, Illinois.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Bwalda at the free throw lines, backing down Krawn now
turning on Krawan, who reached in on that shot with
seven on the shot clock, deflected it up into the air,
but a fool called against Lily kron On teeny Catholic
High School. I believe that's what I said for Nikki Kirsten.

(22:32):
But the Badgers really relying on transfers this season. Kirston
is a freshman, Doria Zaya is a freshman, but Wisconsin
also has six transfers on this year's team, Brianna ware
Gift of Chenna, Shaye Bowlin, Lacy Steele, Kira Daniels, and
Destiny Howells, and they've made a big impact here early

(22:54):
in the season. Huualda makes the free throw for Milwaukee
eight forty three to go second quarter to eleven, the
Batcher's lead this game. B Walda's next one is up
and through Buwalda, who scored about seven and a half
points per game last season, leading score for the Panthers

(23:14):
to the first two games. Uchenna catches down all the
right spins around Buwalda, reverses it with the left hand
who had just sneaked out no good, and she got
her own rebound, and there's a whistle that stops play.
I think that's going to go against Buchenna. Offensive foul
for Chenna trying to grab her own miss. She is

(23:35):
so good around the basket.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
I've seen her.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
She's done that reverse layup that she just missed a
couple of times. It's worked this season. Here's Silas top
side throws to the right wing top by Williams Panthers basketball.
Eight thirteen to play in the first to the left corner.
Silas a jumper over Krawn for three. No, Krawn got
hit in the face. She's still out there, but she's

(23:59):
grabbing her mouth and nose area down low. Buwalda no good.
But Krawan rips down the miss. I think Krawn has
I might have some blood. She's like looking over. I
think she's bleeding her hands. She look at that basketball.

(24:20):
It's like she has something and maybe on a.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Sceny blood.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
But she is going to have to go off the
court for a moment. Seven point fifty four to play
second quarter. It's a twenty two to twelve Wisconsin advantage.
The Badgers have led by as many as twelve now
in this game. At twenty two to ten. Here's bowling
and bounding left sideline gets it into the back court
to Kirston. So take a look at head coach Robin

(24:47):
pinched in at Wisconsin standing at the motion w left
hand dribble al. She'll dribble to the left wing and
bounce for Howell, gives it up to Jaya, throws back over.
It's Kirston Howell posting up mid post, left pass it
backing down Williams. I'll picks up her dribble, kicks out
on top to where where with one of the shot
clock inside the bowl, and the Badgers won't get a

(25:07):
shot away shot clock violation against Wisconsin, and it'll be
Milwaukee basketball. With seven twenty four to go in this
first quarter, Badgers shot fifty percent in the first quarter

(25:29):
and hit four three pointers so far, one of three
in the second quarter. Milwaukee hasn't made a field goal
this quarter.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
They're oh for two twenty two to twelve. Wisconsin with
the lead.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Pamps have the basketball Silas defended by where just right
a center. Silas puts it on the floor, gallops to
the rim up off the glass for two strong moved
there by. Mikaela Silas, the five nine junior from Oneida, Wisconsin,
eight and a half points per game, so far this
season for the Panthers. Here's shot you out on top
for the Badger's hands off Bolan top of the arc.

(26:01):
Bolan loops it back inside. Shaya double team on her,
so kick it back out Boland to the right, howl
to the corner, out of bounds howls pass intended for
where it goes right to the Milwaukee bench. Turnover by
Wisconsin twenty two to fourteen. They lead it by eight
six fifty three to play second quarter. That is Wisconsin's

(26:23):
fifth turnover of the game. The Panthers have turned it
over nine times thus far. As Milwaukee drives into the
front court, it's Fitzgibbon handling the rock. Fitzgibbon between her
legs with the dribble now hands off to Williams.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Out on top. They find Bowalda launching a long three.
This is a wide left.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Jahya collects the rebound and a foul called against the
Badgers against Poland, Well, you've forced Bewalda, who's a six
foot forward, to launch from like twenty five feet plus
maybe and a fall called down low against Bolan her first.

(27:02):
Now the inbounds pass is into the backcourt, picked up
by where where try to get her hands on that
a whistle. Where's now slow to get up and it's
a foul against Milwaukee. Three team fouls against the Badgers.
That'll be Milwaukee's first team foul. And now Ronnie Porter

(27:24):
is going to come in. Kirsten goes out and where's
going to stay out on the floor where Bolan, Jaya,
Howell and Porter where catches the inbounce pass. Jaya sets
the screen top of the ark where going downhill lameeline
left draw some contact, misses the shot, but where we'll

(27:47):
go to the free throw line. The transfer for the batchers.
That's Freana where transfer from Stonybrook.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
This is her third basketball program. She's played for.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Saint Bonaventure was her first, then stony Brook now at Wisconsin.
Averaged fourteen point seven points per game at Stonybrook a
season ago. This is that free throw because a seventy
four percent free throw shooter as well.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
Last year.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
This year, she's made one of three after that miss
six twenty eight to go second quarter, here's the next
one by where and that one is up and through
for the five to seven red shirt junior Spassovski comes
in for bowling. So it's Spassovsky porter where Jaya and
Howell five on the floor for the University of Wisconsin.

(28:37):
Second straight in state rivalry game for the Badgers. They
lost in overtime Saturday against Marquette sixty five sixty two.
Now it's the Panthers in a twenty three to fourteen
Badger's lead. Top of the ark Fitsgibbon can't penetrate, finds
burwalda dangers pass caught by Fitzgibbon. Now she has it
left devil, She'll launch overwhere and connect. There's the five

(28:57):
to six freshman from Mekwan, Wisconsin. I'll stay this junior
and senior. If it's gibven, a freshman this season playing
for Milwaukee. Where has it for the Badger's outside right
five fifty five to play in the first She'll drive
to the rim left hand. No good ball off the
hands of Jayana Whistle stops play the foul against the Panthers.

(29:21):
That's against Silas. It's gonna check out of the game.
Bram Poula comes in for Milwaukee twenty three to sixteen,
Wisconsin by seven, five point fifty to play second quarter.
Great start for the Badgers tonight. They scored the first
ten points of the first quarter. Howl off her hands
off the inbounds. Now the balls loose on the floor
where trying to tie up the Panthers player on the
floor and a held ball called possession arrow to Milwaukee

(29:55):
twenty three sixteen Wisconsin five point forty five to play
second quarter. Here's Fitzgibbon.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
The back court.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Porter checks her defensively. It's given right hand into the
front court, hands off Rampoula. She'll have it head of
the key, soft toss to her left. Ahard bounce out
on top of threw Walda Shaya defense ball fake on
the pass, hands off Williams.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Williams tries to turn the corner, then kicks over.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
It's Gibbon ten on the shot clock, defended by porter,
bounced for Bowalda given go back inside. Fitz Gibbon lost
it inside to Buwalda, blocked by shah Ya on her.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
Shot attempt, picked up swasofski thatchers are running up to
the right.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Howl hope and three no it playings off the rim rebound.
Rampuola tried the three with Howel in transition. Couldn't knock
it in If it's Gibbon now defended by Porter outside right.
Five minutes to play in the quarter. Bounce inside bow
Walda wild running shot to the rim. No, she's out
of the play now, out of bounds. Just getting up
now as the Badgers are have a five on four

(30:53):
lobbing inside Jaya double teams. Posovski gets it on the
other side, lay up good low on the left. Wisconsin
attacks on that five on four and they get the basket.
Spasovski with their second field goal of this game. Four
point thirty seven to play. Second quarters, twenty five to
sixteen Wisconsin. Here's Buwalda top of the Ark Jaya defense.

(31:15):
A freshman had six blocks center Badger's debut in the
first game of the season. Just had a block last possession,
Rampula inside, Fitzgibbon working down low.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
Another block by jah Ya down low on the left.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
I've block party here in the first half of the
freshmen in a time out on the flour it'll be
Milwaukee basketball. They'll have just over four seconds on the
shot clock. Four to seventeen to go in the second quarter.
Wisconsin leeds Milwaukee twenty five to sixteen. From the rail
Transport radio booth. Rail Transport for every mile of your
truck driving career. This is Batcher's basketball from Miarfield.

Speaker 12 (31:52):

the Cole Center. Four seventeen to go, second quarter. It's
Milwaukee Basketball twenty five sixteen, Wisconsin. Before we continue, let's
pause ten seconds for a station ide, ten for an ID.

(33:15):
This is Wisconsin Women's basketball twenty five sixteen. Wisconsin has
the lead. Destiny Howell leads the Batchers in scoring with
nine points, and in doing so, she needed eight points
to reach fifteen hundred career points.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
In her college athletics career, and she got there. She's
got nine.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Entered the game with one four hundred and ninety two points.
Now has fifteen hundred and one career points. Destiny Howell
transferred from Howard. This is her sixth season of college basketball.
Now at one thousand, five hundred and one career points.
Congratulations Destiny, averaging fifteen and a half points per game

(34:01):
this year for the Badgers. Last season at Howard just
shy of fifteen fourteen.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Point nine points per game.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Here we go back to the action four in the
shot clock from Milwaukee abouts past Dolan by Porter. Here's
Porter the other side, Porter all the way to the
rim and the finish good from the right side for.

Speaker 11 (34:17):
Ronnie cours life presents to Chip, a.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Steal and a finish by Porter.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Foural five to play in this second quarter, twenty seven
to sixteen. Badger's on top of Milwaukee now by eleven.
They've led by twelve, and an offensive foul on the
screen by C. C McNair at the top of the
key and the Badgers get it back. Wisconsin is shooting

(34:44):
forty eight percent from the floor in this game, Milwaukee
twenty eight percent from the field. Here's Ronnie Porter walking
across the timeline for the Badgers to Sasofski at the
right elvel back out to Howell now inside mid post ride.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
Here is shah Ya lost the ball.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Shah Yah tried to accelerate toward the rim down low,
tight space, lost it out of bounce. Howell leaves the
game nine points, four to six, shooting Wisconsin's leading scorer.
Next closest on the leader board is Pasovsky, who has
five and for Jovanna Sbysovski. Those are the first points
of the season for her were in game number three,

(35:22):
three thirty in County to go in the second, Porter
comes away with another steal in transition up ahead the
jah Ya up her hands and she lost it on
the baseline. Porter created a transition opportunity for the Badgers,
but then Wisconsin turns it right back over. It's a
good pass, yah Ya just couldn't hold onto it. So

(35:50):
it'll be Milwaukee ball, or excuse me, they'll be Wisconsin ball.
I guess it was less touched by Milwaukee Badgers. Get
it back. Here's Ronnie Porter throwing to the left where
bouncing for Sposofski mid post. Left back out to where
shot clock's at ten. Now will whistle and three seconds

(36:12):
to call against the Badgers. It comes Lily Krawn back
into the game for the UW. Had to leave after
getting hit around the face. I'm not sure if she
was bleeding or not, but she left.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Now she's back. It comes Milwaukee front court Porter defending.
This is Barnes.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Hanson McNair shah, Yeah on her twenty feet away from
the rim.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
Bacher's doing a good job to nine passes.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Now it's Barnes outside right seven on the shot clock,
looking good defensively forcing a long three by Williams, which
is in airball. Porter saved it on the sideline. They
say she stepped out of bounds. Then the shot clock
buzzer sounded. It was an airball. The officials are converging

(37:15):
to talk about this and what are they going to
come away with. Chenna's going to come into the games.
I think it's going to be a Milwaukee basketball. Just
unfortunate timing really for the Badgers. That was split second
away from being a shot clock violation.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
They put one.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
Second on the clock from Milwaukee quick shot off the inbounds.
Williams trails the mid range jumper from the right side
two thirty four to go before they have Kron catches
front court for the Badgers to Chenna inside twenty seven
eighteen Wisconsin foul called against.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Milwaukee. Shenna had the basketball.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Foul called against Barnes and that is team foul number
five against the Panthers. So gift to Chenna steps to
the free throw line transfer from Southern Illinois All m
VC first team or check it.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
I'm sorry against.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
It'll be Lily Krawn, I guess, but Jenna steps away,
It'll be Krawn to take the free throws. Krawn makes
the first free throw. I'm sure what the mix up there.
Kron has a smile on her face. Here's the next
one by Lily, and that one fall through Prawn believe

(38:43):
it or not. As a senior from Prairie to Sheen, Wisconsin,
played in her final season for the Badgers. Porter almost
came away with another's deal. It's ticked up and gliding
to the rim as Barnes now go to. Chenna collects
the rebound for the Badgers outlet right sideline. Porter spinch
it over left side to Daniels out on top. Sposovski
rises for three clangs off the rim.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
No good. Silas boxes out and grabs it for Milwaukee.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Two minutes ago, second quarter, twenty nine to eighteen. Wisconsin
Batchers are glad by as many as twelve points in
this game.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
Right now, it's at eleven. Barnes finds Silas out on top.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
After double team for a split second, Lob inside shot
on Uchenna comes up short. Might have got a piece
of it, miss download by the Panthers. Rebound Wisconsin front court.
Batcher's Porter steers to Spasovski. Lob's inside Tochnna spins out
to the left of Porter, screened by Ucenna. Porter throws
it back, great grab, down load, Chenna puts it up,

(39:41):
no to foul, great hands by Gift. Uchenna just suck
that pass in with the right left hands and then
quickly was able to transition from the catch to a
shot and she missed it.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
But we'll go to the free throw line.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
So now Giftcenna's at the free throw line, the transfer
from Southern Illinois. Two of three at the free throw
line this season for Chenna, and that one's in this
match is the largest lead of the game for Wisconsin.

(40:21):
It's at twelve. We've got ninety seconds to play in
the second Quarterchenna hoisted the next one and that one's good.
Thirty one to eighteen. Largest lead of the game now
for the UW it's at thirteen points and Ronnie Porter
comes out. Nicky Kirsten comes in for the Badgers and

(40:42):
at twenty seven in county to go before the half.
They stick around at the halfle here from Wisconsin J
Bollen and Tonight's halftime interview. Williams pushes a pass to
the right side. This is Loman with it finds a
spot at the free throw line, and the jumper is good.
He hits the back of the rim and then falls
gently through the bottom of the net. One oh nine
to play. Second quarter. Here's Kirsten, screened by Chenna. Kirsten

(41:06):
puts up a shot left of the lane.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
It's no good.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
Rebound drops into the lap of bou Walda, who's been
pretty quiet tonight. Two points on zero four shooting. She's
Milwaukee's leading scorer. Bouwalda, now with the basketball top of
the key, hans to Silas. Silas has it dancing with
the rock, defended by Krawn. Forty five seconds to play
in the quarter. Outside left, it's Williams bobbing over the
top of the defense looking for Boo. Walda saved by Krawn,

(41:31):
got it to Daniels. Here comes Wisconsin. In transition. Tira
Daniels throws to a right. Kirsten pushes to the corner.
You're a sposofski for three. It's no good. Uchanna tracks
down the offensive rebound, has it here side corner. The
Kira Daniels, who's scoreless tonight, had seventeen on Saturday. Inside
Chenna Uchenna downhill to the ram, counting n foul for Gift.

(41:51):
Uchenna high five sewer teammates and Chenna. We'll try to
get a three point play. The senior from Nigeria looking
good tonight for the Badgers thirty three twenty Wisconsin. Uchenna
now has six points and four rebounds. She's coming off

(42:15):
a double double Saturday in that overtime lost in Marquette
and Gifted Chenna had eleven points, ten boards in a
block against the Golden Eagles.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
Here's Uchenna.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
And that free throw will fall perfect from the free
throw line tonight seven points, twenty seconds to go in
the second quarter, fourteen point Badger's lead, the largest of
the game. Panthers habit the front court. Cassidy de Falco
over to the right to Williams. Eight seconds to play
in the quarter. Right wing for Williams bounces to the

(42:51):
corner of Silas, driving on Daniels with two seconds. Silas
force is a tough shot. It's an airball. Swasofsky catches
and heaves. It's actually really good from about ninety feet away.
It came up short to the left, but good arm
there by Sposofski and we've reached a half. Here in
Madison and the Badgers are enjoying their largest lead of

(43:12):
the game against Milwaukee. It's Bucky by fourteen Wisconsin thirty
four Milwaukee twenty. Keep it right here at the half
will run through these numbers, but up next we'll hear
a halftime interview with Wisconsin's Shade Bull and a transfer
from Illinois. That's next. And this is Badger basketball from
the Reel Transport radio booth. Reel Transport for every mile

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Off time tonight at the Cole Center, and the Badgers
lead the Milwaukee Panthers in this in state rivalry game.
It is a thirty four to twenty lead for Wisconsin
at the half. You w scored the first ten points
of this game. They lead ten zip. They outscored the
Panthers by ten in the first twenty to ten, and
I'll score them fourteen to ten in the second. So

(45:23):
at the half once again, thirty four to twenty. Time
for tonight's half time interview, and earlier I had a
chance to catch up.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
With Wisconsin's Shaye Bolan.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
She's a transfer from Illinois, and the six foot three
brad student had a nice opening game for the Badgers,
and hear about.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
It here and more with Shae Bolan at the half.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
So in the season opener, you were one point away
from tying your career high. You scored thirteen points in
fourteen minutes. So what was really working for you on
the court in that first game?

Speaker 18 (45:51):
Honestly, I think just taking the best shots at the
defense was giving to me in that moment, and my
teammates putting me in the right position. I haven't necessarily
had the full opportunities that I've wanted in college basketball,
and I haven't played in about a year due to
missing last season, and so I think just getting my
feel for the game back is going to take me

(46:12):
some time. And it felt nice to just be out
there and feel my confidence coming back a little bit.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
When there's so many new players on a team like
this year's Badger's team, they're all converging at once. Do
you notice things like chemistry building like on a daily basis,
Do you notice that it seems like probably that would
be something that just is continuous.

Speaker 5 (46:30):
One hundred percent.

Speaker 18 (46:31):
And I think we've been so blessed to have a
coaching staff who knows how pivotal that connectivity is and
knows how much better teams can do on the court
when they are really close and know each other on
a really personal level off the court. And so Coach
p and our coaching staff was amazing at setting that
foundation for us in the summer. The first day we
got to campus, we spent so much time on telling

(46:52):
our personal stories and learning what each of us has
gone through and being really vulnerable with each other, and
I think it makes it a lot easier to go
to bat for one another.

Speaker 5 (47:00):
One you have that deep understanding of who everyone is
as people.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Talking with Shaye Bollen at the half, So what is
your most valuable asset as a player?

Speaker 18 (47:10):
I think I like to describe myself as someone who's
pretty versatile. You know, I'm someone who I try to
make everyone around me better, whether that's just as a leader,
a passer, someone who was going to bring a ton
of energy on defense and offense and try to get
my teammates the ball in the right position, try to
set them really good screens, but then also take my

(47:30):
shots when I'm open and score the ball, and so yeah,
just someone who has a lot of energy.

Speaker 5 (47:35):
I would say that's my biggest asset.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
Now, what I find interesting, You grew up in a
family of basketball players, your mother played it, if your
father played at Colgate?

Speaker 1 (47:43):
Has it always been basketball for you?

Speaker 18 (47:46):
It has, even though it was never something that was
forced on me. My parents put me in a ton
of different sports and gave me the opportunity to fall
in love with the game myself, which of course I
did and ultimately decided that was a sport I wanted
to focus on.

Speaker 5 (47:58):
But still to this day.

Speaker 18 (47:59):
I mean, my brother committed to play basketball at Brown,
and both of my younger siblings have college scholarships, and
so it's a big deal in my family and we
all love it.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
You guys, do you talk to your parents like after Like,
do they notice things and they give you advice or
something like that?

Speaker 1 (48:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 18 (48:16):
I think, you know, my mom coached me all throughout
high school, and my dad also has experience with coaching
as well, So I really really value their opinions and
I always know that they're going to be completely honest
with me. I don't have parents who sugarcoat things or
tell me great job when I wasn't you know, at
my baster or giving my full effort. And I'm super
grateful for that, especially the older I get. Just hearing

(48:39):
what they have to say to me and implementing their
opinions is super helpful, especially just because I know they're
always team first and always you know, wanting to help
me do what's best for my team.

Speaker 5 (48:52):
And I love that just perspective that they take.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
All right, thanks for the time.

Speaker 5 (48:56):
Yes, thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (48:57):
All right, there you go. That is Shaye Bollen at

I'm John oudiis cole courtside at the Coal Center. It
is game number three of this young season for the
Badgers and they lead Milwaukee thirty four to twenty at
the break. The Badger scored the first ten points up
Tonight's game to take a ten nothing lead. Roddie Porter
picked up two fouls in the first sixty seconds, but
for the Badgers shot fifty percent in the first got

(52:02):
seven points from Destiny Howell had four to three pointers,
and the Badgers led it twenty to ten. Second quarter,
those numbers dropped from the field for Wisconsin thirty six percent,
but they still outshot Milwaukee, which was right around that
same number they had in the first quarter thirty six
percent for the Badgers twenty nine percent for Milwaukee. This time,
the Badgers got their offense five of the fourteen points

(52:23):
from Gift to Chenna. Uchenna had also three rebounds, so
five points and three rebounds for the senior transfer from
Southern Illinois. Wisconsin had two runs of nothing in that
first or excuse me, in that second quarter, and they
outscored the Panthers by four in the second. Right now
they lead it largest lead of the game is at

(52:44):
fourteen points. Oh For all, the Badgers are forty four
percent from the floor twelve of twenty seven, twenty nine
percent shooting for Milwaukee from outside the yark those four
to three pointers in the first Still, the number of
the Batchers have here at the half four of twelve
thirty three percent. Milwaukee is two of nine from downtown.
Panthers have hit four to four free throws. The Badgers

(53:04):
if hit six out of seven. Rebounding even at fourteen apiece.
Offensive board slide edge to Milwaukee at four to three.
Second chance points to the Badgers at five to two.
Team assists seven for Wisconsin in the first half, three
for Milwaukee. Turnovers fourteen in the first half of the
Panthers eight four Wisconsin and the Badgers are leading on

(53:26):
points off turnovers seventeen to six points in the paint
all Wisconsin. I'm gonna make that note right here, Wisconsin
sixteen nothing points in the paint. Fast break points to nothing.
Wisconsin blocks two of them, both from the freshman Jaia
eight points or excuse me, eight steals for Wisconsin, three

It's forty five, twenty eight Wisconsin over the Milwaukee Panthers.
Badger's one and one this season. The Panthers come in
with a one in one mark and it's been all

(01:11:54):
with sconsin. They've led for almost twenty five minutes of
this game. We've got four twenty five to play in
the third. Right now, O's scoring Milwaukee eleven to eight
in the third quarter. So Brianna Ware is at the
free throw line for the Badgers. She's a red shirt

(01:12:14):
junior transfer from Stonybrook, and that free throw will rattle
in where coming off seventeen minutes on the court at Marquette,
scored a couple of points. That one's through to night though,
where really nice game developing for her. She's got eight

(01:12:36):
points now she's three or four from the free throw line.
Good start here for where, well, good game here, I
should say for where it's a season high. Panther's ball
approaching four minutes to play in the quarter outside right,
it's picked up by Pugh Chenna defense five on the
shock clock for Pew still has a right wing on

(01:12:58):
the floor. That dribble forces a wild shot. No Uchenna
rips it away. Wisconsin front court. Here's Kirsten dancing with
the basketball. Has he a throw to the corner. Here's
where nothing but now for Brianna Ware number three four
three fifty to twenty eight a seven nothing Wisconsin run.

(01:13:19):
Now man, it's a season high and the first batcher
to double figures. Brianna Ware, She's got eleven left side
three from Milwaukee is rattled in by Rita. That's her
first points of the season for the Panthers. Three twenty
to play in the third, fifty to thirty one Wisconsin.

(01:13:42):
Thatchers have led by as many as twenty two. Howell
lets a three go from the right corner. No good,
Gomez secures it outlet up ahead Cassidy to felth goal
smooth for the rim in the finish with the right
hand fifty to thirty three. Wisconsin lead in the basketball

(01:14:02):
where leading scorer now tonight for the Badgers. He has
eleven points in twelve minutes. Cass intended for Bowland, too
high and out of bounds from Lucena turnover Wisconsin their
ninth of the game. They have for sixteen turnovers from
Milwaukee and lead big lead twenty two to six and
points off turnovers two forty nine to go. Third quarter,

(01:14:26):
fifty to thirty three Wisconsin. It's been interesting to see
the Badgers in these three games and the leading scorers for.

Speaker 1 (01:14:39):
Each game.

Speaker 2 (01:14:40):
Howell had seventeen to lead the way in the first game,
seventeen from Daniels to lead in the second game. Here's
a jumper short left of the lane by Milwaukee's Cassidy
de Falco, offensive rebound Panthers inside pew upnel for the
foul where and Ucenna or check it? That was Howell
and Uchenna both in the area. And that's the second

(01:15:02):
foul called against Destiny Howell. So so far through the
first two games of the season, the Batchers have had
two different leading scorers, and right now it is where
leading the way with eleven. Howell is next with nine.
Those came in the first half free throw up and
in for pew.

Speaker 12 (01:15:24):
Is E.

Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
Pugh, a redshirt sophomore.

Speaker 2 (01:15:26):
She's from New Zealand, played in thirty of the thirty
two games last season for the Panthers and now the
six two ford at the free throw line to get
her second free throw, and that one's in Wisconsin. By fifteen,
they've led by twenty two in the quarter. Now the

(01:15:49):
Panther's on a seven to nothing run over the last
minute Kirston has it NICKI Kirsten to the left elbow,
rise is for two, and it's in. There's Kirsten knocking
down a jump shot for the Badgers, her first field
goal of this game, and a steal by where on
the other.

Speaker 1 (01:16:07):
Side She'll go up.

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
Cassidy de Falco strips it away and then a whistle
stops playing.

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
What's the call? Is out of bounds?

Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
On? Where is it Panthers ball or is it the
Badger's ball? I think where wanted to follow. They're gonna
say they're talking right now. Wisconsin's lining up in a
box set baseline out of bounds. It'll be Wisconsin ball

(01:16:37):
baseline right inbounding Kirsten. Here's Daniels off the screen, catch
his right corner, throws back to her left. It's Kirsten
bounce inside for e chan a quick turnaround, left shoulder,
turned right hand, no rebound.

Speaker 1 (01:16:48):
Cassidy to Falco.

Speaker 2 (01:16:49):
Her passes deflected by where but picked up by our
teammate Pew at mid court.

Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
Back to Valerie.

Speaker 2 (01:16:54):
Cassidy de Falco defendive by where wide screen out on top,
so handle it left of the l The Silas minute
forty to play in the third, Silas tries at three
too strong, off the hands of Pew, off the hands
of Daniels, into the hands of where Wisconsin ball where
front court scoops it to Kirsten skip past at Daniels
left of center, finds you Channa out on top Henna.

(01:17:18):
A couple of dribbles, hand off to war So rise
for three. That one is short the box out there
by Silas. Unware who got shoved to the floor. Silas did,
and that's against where that's her first. Okay, Wisconsin six

(01:17:39):
of fourteen from the floor in this quarter, outscoring the
Panthers by three at eighteen to fifteen. So that is
team foul number five. So that's gonna put Lackey at

(01:18:00):
the free throw line. Now the official is going to
the scorers table. Well, the Panther's gonna had a seven
to nothing run.

Speaker 1 (01:18:13):
In this game.

Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
Badgers had a seven zip run as well in this quarter.
I should say this quarter, not this game. Well, it's
this game, but it's also this quarter. Here's Silas free
throw up and through for Milwaukee. Next one. We'll rattle off.

(01:18:39):
No good, Badgers bring it back into the front courts,
Butsofski to danigels upside with Chenna Kets's top of the key.
Approaching one minute to play, third quarter, with Chenna decides
to go downhill to the ram, miss it with the
right hand from the left side, and a file called

(01:19:00):
after the shot, and a foul against Milwaukee. Third team
foul against Milwaukee, and the Badgers will inbound baseline left.

(01:19:20):
Here's Kirsten looking inside for Chenna and it's out of bounds.
Channa never had a shot at it, and now an
inbounds pass knocked out of bounds by Wisconsin. It'll be

(01:19:42):
Panther's ball. Fifty two thirty six. The Badger's lead it.
They led by as many as twenty two points.

Speaker 1 (01:19:54):
In the quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:19:55):
Down to fifty seconds to play in the third Cassidy
to Falco trapped and now Kirsten knocks in free. It's
in the back court, ball throwing the pew into the
front court and here comes go mess go miss on
Spossovski ten on the shot clock, Silas hopping around in
the corner open. She finally catches drives by Kirsten, who
knocked the ball out of play. It's going to stay

(01:20:17):
with Milwaukee. Yeah, that whole time Silas was doing jumping
Jackson the left corner. There's pleading with her teammates.

Speaker 1 (01:20:24):
Throw it to me.

Speaker 2 (01:20:26):
Four point one seconds on the shot clock for the Panthers.
Thirty seconds on the game clock. Here's Silas sixteen point
batcher's lead left faceline driving in Blowman high off the window.

Speaker 1 (01:20:41):
It's no good. It's out of bounds and I think
it's going to be Panthers ball fresh.

Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
Twenty seconds on the shot clock for the Panthers. Twenty
three point nine seconds to go. In the third, Silas
catch his left corner. She's double teamed, throws inside Gomez
back out to the right end. Loman her skip pass
off the hands of Crawn picked up Silas left baseline,
kicking the back out Gomez left.

Speaker 1 (01:21:16):
Corner, three over.

Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
Krown Is short rebound, bounces out of bounds and it's
gonna be last touched with sconsin. Jory Bouwalda now comes
in for Milwaukee. Bou Walda two.

Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
Points oh four.

Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
Twenty minutes, Panther's leading scorer this season at fourteen and
a half per game. Through the first two pass deflected
by Kirsten out of bounce. Five point two seconds to
play in the third, It'll be Milwaukee basketball again. Sideline left,
Silas lobs for Buwalda, four seconds to Cassidy to Falco,

(01:21:55):
a screen by boo Walda, a block by Uchenna on
the three ball, and Chenna's flock ends quarter number three
with Wisconsin holding strong. After the first thirty minutes of
this one, fifty two to thirty six, Wisconsin leeds after
three quarters. We'll be back with the final ten minutes
of this one from the Cole Center. Next fifty two

(01:22:16):
to thirty six Wisconsin from the rail Transport radio booth,

Speaker 22 (01:22:30):
Hear that. That's the sound of your life, perfectly imperfect,
beating in rhythm to the world you've created. But every
time you drive after drinking, music gets drowned out. Your
life sounds pretty great. Don't let a buzz ruin it.

(01:22:53):
Buzz driving is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed. A message
from Nits in the ad Council.

Speaker 31 (01:23:00):
You feel different, think different, to talk different, to draw different,
You listen to music different. But you probably knew that
problem is you also drive different, and not in a
good way. That's why driving high is illegal everywhere. So
if you're high, just don't drive. Make a plan to
get a sober ride because if you feel different, you

(01:23:23):
drive different.

Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
Brought to you by NITZA and the AD Council.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
And back at the goal center, John audis with you.
It's not for today's ATC Smart Play of the game.
Wisconsin leeds Milwaukee fifty two to thirty six. Leading store
is Breanna Ware but gift to Chenna second on the
leader board with nine points and seven rebounds, and she
has our ATC Smart play of the game. And from
the second quarter we shout it downhill to the ram

(01:23:55):
counted at a foul for gift to Chenna. High five
sure teammates and Uchenna will try to get a three
point play the six to three senior from Nigeria.

Speaker 1 (01:24:08):
That is today's ATC Smartplay of the game.

Speaker 2 (01:24:12):
Chenna just missing out on a double double, needs a
point in three rebounds in the final ten minutes to
pick up her second double of the year. U Jenna
is a transfer from Southern Illinois, where she was the
nation's leading rebounder at twelve point eight rebounds per game.
She said in Southern Illinois school record with three hundred

(01:24:33):
and forty two rebounds in.

Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
A single season.

Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
And I think she's someone that's going to get a
lot more playing time as this season goes along.

Speaker 1 (01:24:45):
For just so steady.

Speaker 2 (01:24:46):
She holds onto the basketball when she catches it down low,
she can rebound, you can block shots like you did
at the end of the third quarter, and she's got
some nice moves around the basket too. Fourth quarter is
here with Wisconsin up by sixteen points. Panthers ball skip past,
bobbing over the top to Silas left corner. Kirsten steps
out to defend for the UW. Silas drives through a

(01:25:09):
couple of Badgers and the travel turnover on the drive
by Silas and it's back to Wisconsin. Eighteen turnovers tonight
for the Panthers. They came in averaging twenty one turnovers
per game through their first two. Porter comes in for
Kirsten and Wisconsin has a big advantage on points off

(01:25:30):
turnovers tonight, twenty two to eat advantage for the UW,
who has ten turnovers. Porter finds Daniels hands back off
to Ronnie out on top. Porter throws it back over.
Daniels drives left baseline and an illegal scream called against
Krawn that got Daniels open Karat Daniels really hasn't gotten going,

(01:25:59):
but the Badger's web we haven't needed her scoring. Daniel's
one of four three points three rebounds in sixteen minutes.
There's one of the Badgers leading scorers this season at
fourteen per game, second on the Badgers this year at seventeen.
On Saturday, there's step through Loman on Boland comes up short,
but Walda gathers down low on Uchenna blocked down to

(01:26:21):
the floor. U Walda gathers again low block right working
on Uchenna and this one comes up short.

Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
Who Chenna rips it down.

Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
Great defense down low by Gift and a foul call
against Milwaukee in O Chenna Man, She's tough down low
and that foul against Valerie Cassidy de Valco. That is
team foul number one against Milwaukee. With eight point fifty
eight to play in the game, neither team has scored

(01:26:49):
so far. To start the fourth quarter, here comes Porter
finds Uchenna hands off to Daniels. Daniels trying to go downhill,
kick out to bowl in three right of the wheel.
No good rebound on the baseline fought for the Lapanthers
fighting it's bow Walda out of there with it. Bu

(01:27:11):
Walda grabs her seventh to rebound eight thirty four to
playing the game. Bou Walda long three over Uchenna left
out of the him no good good box out by Bowling.
She secures it for the Badgers, throws to Daniels. Transition
time for three. It's short and there's Bouwalda boxing out
and grabbing rebound.

Speaker 1 (01:27:28):
Number eight eight eighteen to go in the game. Here's
Loman one on one with Porter.

Speaker 2 (01:27:33):
She'll bring it back out with the dribble, find bou
Walda on top, and then her pass is stolen by
Ronnie Porter and Porter has a wide open runway play off.

Speaker 1 (01:27:42):
Good for Ronnie steal in the finish for Porter.

Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
I talk about the defensive game from Gift to Chenna
and Jaya, who had two blocks in the first half.
Ronnie Porter has now picked up four steals in this
game that led to points. That last one. Here's Gomez
on Daniels round his screen byble Walda. The ball loss
out of ounds. It'll stay with Milwaukee, though I guess

(01:28:10):
it was last touched by Wisconsin. Yeah, Ronnie Porter six
points one assists, which is kind of low for her,
but four steals to lead the way for Wisconsin. She
has four of the eleven steals tonight, who Jenna checks
out now nine points, eight rebounds. She's a point and
two rebounds away from a double double. Seven forty two

(01:28:32):
to play in this game. Here's Rocklets catching the inbounds pass.
Porter will defend Recklets behind her back as it left
wing and a handoff picked up by our teammate Williams
the red Churtchu and you're back to Recklets.

Speaker 1 (01:28:44):
Five on the shot clock.

Speaker 2 (01:28:45):
Reclis tries to dribble in step through with the left hand,
misses it wide left rebound ripped down by Steel Steele
throws to kron to the corner.

Speaker 1 (01:28:55):
Porter.

Speaker 2 (01:28:55):
How about a three from Ronnie that's cool RP for
three fifty seven thirty six Wisconsin, twenty one point Badger's advantage.
Seven oh six to go in this game, and a
turnover by the Panthers. A toss inside from Cassidy to

(01:29:17):
Falco looking for Buwalda and it goes over Buwalda's head
and bounces out of bounds. Those two come out now
seven oh one to play in the game. Wisconsin has
started this quarter with the first five points. Anders did
that in the first quarter, or I'm sorry, first quarter

(01:29:37):
they scored the first ten points. But last quarter the
Badger scored I believe the first five points of the
quarter as well.

Speaker 1 (01:29:43):
Down low. Here's Steel around the cup finishing good crazy Mansky.

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
So it's six thirty seven to go. It's fifty nine
to thirty six Wisconsin. The largest lead of the game
is at twenty three points. Now Anthers basketball, Recklets working
on Bowland scoots her way to the rim and scores.

(01:30:16):
Now it's Wisconsin ball. Here's Bowling working down low, low,
block right, right hand up and in for Bowling. There's
Shade Bowlan finishing around the rim. And then Daniels draws
some contact on the other side against Gomans. Both players

(01:30:37):
fall to the floor, both pop up and a foul called.
That's against Kira Daniels second team fowl. Six minutes to go.
It's sixty one to thirty eight, twenty three point Batcher's lead.
Brianda Ware comes into the game now eleven points leads

(01:30:58):
Wisconsin and scoring tonight. Ronnie has a seat on the bench.
Four steals tonight for Porter nine points for Ronnie inbound
down low low on the left.

Speaker 1 (01:31:08):
It's c.

Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
C McNair, the red shirt freshman ump and in. She's
played three minutes coming into tonight through the first two games.
Here's Bowland for the Badgers. Dribbles sewer left hands off
our side court.

Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
This is kron Fine.

Speaker 2 (01:31:21):
Steele right abble the jumpers up the jumper, short rebound
grabbed you by Milwaukee and a quick whistle and a foul.

Speaker 1 (01:31:28):
Called against Bolan. That's the third.

Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
Team foul for Wisconsin and for Bolan, I believe that's
her second. It is sixty one to forty Wisconsin. Big
Badgers lead twenty one point lead, trying to win their
fourth in a row in this series against the Milwaukee Panthers.
They lead the all time series twenty collected by Daniels.

(01:31:57):
Now she'll line up with three straight on that one
off the fronts out of the room.

Speaker 1 (01:32:01):
No good. Daniels is a shooter. Just hasn't been her night.
One of six from the floor.

Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
Five minutes to go in the fourth, twenty one point
Badger's lead pass off the hands of McNair picked up Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (01:32:14):
It's Crown.

Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
Top of the key to bowlin her three A little
bit off on the baseline.

Speaker 1 (01:32:22):
It's out of bounce.

Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
Time out on the floor for forty six to go
in this game. Here from Madison and the Badger's lead.
They're in state Foe's Milwaukee out of the Horizon League
by twenty one points. It's Wisconsin sixty one Milwaukee forty

We could court side for the Cole Center tonight, fourth
quarter with four to forty six to go in this game,
and it's Wisconsin leading the Milwaukee Panthers sixty one to forty.
Milwaukee has never had a lead in this game, and

(01:34:16):
the Badgers have led for just over thirty four minutes.
They've been tied for about a minute, so it's been
all Wisconsin pretty much from start to finish.

Speaker 1 (01:34:27):
Let's pause ten.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
Seconds for a station ID, ten for a legal ID.
This is Wisconsin Women's basketball. Twenty one point. Wisconsin lead

(01:34:49):
sixty one to forty and the Badgers are outscoring the
Panthers nine to four in the fourth quarter. Wisconsin started
the game scoring the first ten points of this one
and that's the largest run of the game ten zip.
They do have a seven to nothing run here to
start the fourth quarter, but four to forty three to
go on Lena Patti Bambla comes into the game for

(01:35:11):
the Badgers. Patty Bandla, the junior from Katon, Ohio. Here's
Kron coming away with the steal. Krawn other side left
hand finished up and in the defense. In the finish
from Lily Kran, twenty three point Badger's lead matches their
largest lead of this game. Here's Fitzgibbon gives it up

(01:35:32):
top of the arc. A drive is rejected. That was
Madigan getting rejected by shah Yah her third block of
the game. Sbasovski front court, the Patty Bambla outside left.
Lena Patty Bambla hasn't scored this season, bounces inside for
shah Ya and it is a little too far out
of her reach, but a foul called against the Panthers

(01:35:56):
great to get Patty Patty Bambla rather in the box score.
Paddy Bamla did not score a season ago for Wisconsin.
Here's where right corner drives pull up fifteen foot are
in thirteen points Tonight now for where she is Wisconsin's

(01:36:20):
leading scorer. Other side, the ball is loose in the
back court of Milwaukee. Sposofski gets her hands on the ball.
It's a hell the ball possession arrow to the Badgers. Yeah,
Patty Bamla didn't score last year, had twenty four points
in her first season. Two can get her on the scoreboard.

(01:36:42):
In game three of this year, where will inbound sideline
rights find Sposofsky dr most to her left, has it
left at the lane, now slices through traffic up with
the right hand.

Speaker 1 (01:36:53):
No but a foul.

Speaker 2 (01:36:54):
Three forty four to play in the game, and that
is against Madigan. The freshman out on the court for
Kyle Ruglitz's teams seed HER's Fsafski now with the free
throw line her first points of the season. She has

(01:37:14):
five of them today to a four shooting first free
throws A that one's in first free throw of the
year for Posofski.

Speaker 1 (01:37:25):
Falls.

Speaker 2 (01:37:29):
Sophomore from Belgrade, Serbia makes the next a sixty seven
forty Badger's advantage. Now a six nothing run for Wisconsin
over the last forty seven seconds, twenty seven point lead,

(01:37:49):
three thirty nine to go outside right Fitzgibbon with the
rock rise to take it to the baseline. Now tries
to skip a pass. Patty ban intercepts. Here's Lina push
up ahead to spasofsky mere side, return past to Patty
Bamla throws to a left bisball for three on the left.
That one short rebound into the hands of Fitzgibbon. Here

(01:38:10):
comes Milwaukee right to left. Yeah, Ali bisball also out
of the court.

Speaker 1 (01:38:17):
Now for the Badgers.

Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
Tossed inside, Patty Bamma comes away with another steal, leaps
into the air and catches She'll take it all the
way inside the shah y'ah.

Speaker 1 (01:38:26):
What a bead and then finished by the freshman, assist.

Speaker 2 (01:38:30):
By Patty Bamma running the floor, turning defense into offense.
Fitz gibbing long brains. Three on the right is good
and now all Lena has to do is score. Now
here's Brianna where out on top where to the left elbow?

(01:38:55):
Sheres it up to Jaya Jaya back to the basket,
throwing for Patty Bandlett download on the ride. Here is
Lena turn around. Tough shot comes up short rebound to Milwaukee.
You know I know how important it is or how
much Robin Pinchin loves to see the players who may

(01:39:17):
not get.

Speaker 1 (01:39:18):
A lot of playing time coming and do well, like Patty.

Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
Badla who gets a block from behind, a couple of
steals in a block for Paddy Banda. I'm telling you
all she needs is a bucket now, shah yeah, down
low on the left for the batchers. I'm minut fifty
six to Smithsofts ski shot block for foul. I just
know how much she loves seeing those players be rewarded
for all their hard work. I know in the exhibition

(01:39:43):
for the end of the game, the exhibition against River
Falls this season for the Badgers. At one point you
can hear you can go listen back on the podcast
to the broadcast. You can hear Coach pinch and say,
give the ball to Lena. It was late in the game.
Patty Bandless scored in the exhibition. Biz Ball out there

(01:40:03):
with the Paddy Banla Martin Mesa now out of the
court for the Badgers too, So Paddy Banla, Bisball and
Martin Mesa each looking for their first basket of the season,
three of them on the court a minute fifty five
to go in the game, Swysofski makes the next free throw,

(01:40:25):
and now here comes Reese how Demio, Oh, I'm so
hot Tomeo, the freshman out of Racine, Wisconsin. She's also
now into the game for the UW all looking for
their first baskets of this season. How DeMeo looking for
her first points ever as a Badger. Corner three from

(01:40:45):
Milwaukee skims off the rim. It's no good, It's missed
by Gomez. Badger's habit. Here comes Patty Bamla throwing through
a left how DeMeo catch his left side to put
them on the floor to the rim. Shot blocked out
of bounds, blocked by Gomez. There's how Tomeo. She wanted
her first two as a Badger. Her father played college
baseball Milwaukee and professionally with the Brewers and Men's Maresee's

(01:41:11):
father did.

Speaker 1 (01:41:15):
It's Lee Hadamio.

Speaker 2 (01:41:17):
Now Martine Mesa in bounds, Patty Banna has some room
midrates jumper on the left flicks it up. No good
reboundown though by the Panthers. With a minute twenty seven
and a foul called against Wisconsin, seventy to forty three,
all Wisconsin. Now at this point, well, it really has
been the entire game, but they just keep extending the lead.

(01:41:40):
Seventy to forty three to twenty seven point Badger's lead.
Right now, our stats says seventy one. Okay, now there
just did okay, so twenty eight point Badger's lead. They've
led by as many as twenty nine a minute thirteen
to go, Cassady de Falco inside shot comes up short
for McNair. Biz Ball has it for the Badger. So

(01:42:02):
we'll see if one of these batchers get their first
points of the year.

Speaker 1 (01:42:05):
A Totomeo down low on the left.

Speaker 2 (01:42:06):
It's umping in first points ever as a Wisconsin Badger
for Reese Totomio fifty seconds ago, seventy three forty three
largest lead of the game, Reese Tonamio, the Badger's sophomore
scoring underneath. Here's a drive missed by Barnes. Loose on

(01:42:31):
the floor. Bisball fighting for it, rips it away. Bisball
will lead the way pass to Hatimo, over to Sbasovski.
Badger's gonna set it up with Martine mesa high right
side at the culver's logo. The bis ball top of
the ark for the Badgers. Twenty three seconds ago. Paddy
Bama with it. Paddy Bama downhill down the middle of
the lane, lost at Skysovski gets it back short jump

(01:42:51):
or miss puts it up again. This one falls and
all of a sudden Yovanna Spysovski's got eleven points twelve
seconds ago in this game seventy five forty three Wisconsin.
Here's a drive blocked out it bounds by the Badgers.
That biz ball didn't catch a number on that three

(01:43:18):
seconds to play. It was biz ball rejecting Cassidy de
Falco a biz ball block three seconds to go in
this game in bounds, three ball hoisted with one second,
It's gonna splash through.

Speaker 1 (01:43:33):
It's good by Gomez.

Speaker 2 (01:43:35):
There's the final horn and Wisconsin routes Milwaukee in game
number three of the season. Final score from the Coal Center,
Wisconsin seventy five Milwaukee forty six, a twenty nine point
win over their in state rivals, and the Badgers are
now two to one this season.

Speaker 1 (01:43:58):
Good bounce back after the.

Speaker 2 (01:43:59):
Loss in overtime Saturday at Marquette, Wisconsin hands the Panthers
their second loss of the year. It's the fourth straight
by Wisconsin over Milwaukee in this series. It's game number
two of the in state rivals. One more on the
schedule for the Badgers Sunday against Green Bay. They do
have a game on Wednesday against Bowling Green but it'll

(01:44:22):
take on the Phoenix coming up this Sunday here in Madison.
Once again, that final score Wisconsin seventy five, Milwaukee forty six.
We'll take a break in come back look at these
final numbers. We've got some highlights to get to as well.
In the postgame show, we'll hear from assistant coach Evan
Johnston and hopefully a Badger's player as well. Badger's win.

(01:44:45):
It's seventy five to forty six. Postgame show comes your way.

Speaker 2 (01:47:05):
Hey, welcome back court signed at the Cole Center, John
Audius with you Badgers our winner here over Milwaukee, seventy
five to forty six. Big win for the Badgers, who
led by as many as thirty two points. It was
a twenty nine point victory here at the final buzzer.
Let's take a look at how it got done, as
the Badgers moved to thirty and four all time against
their in state foes. They've won now four in a

(01:47:27):
row against the Panthers. Last Milwaukee win twenty seventeen. All Right,
so the Badgers got off to a great start tonight.
They scored the first ten points of the game, and
they didn't look back after that. Milwaukee never led in
this game. Fifty percent from the floor. In the first quarter,

(01:47:49):
Destiny Howell led the way with seven points four to
three pointers from Wisconsin. They led it twenty to ten
after the first ten minutes. Second quarter, both teams kind
of cooled off. Wisconsin shot six set twenty nine percent
for Milwaukee gift to Chenna five points three rebounds was
solid for the Badgers, who had two four nothing runs
through the quarter. They also led at the half sixteen

(01:48:11):
nothing points in the paint. Thirty four to twenty was
the halftime lead. In the third quarter, Wisconsin outscored Milwaukee
by two did have a big seven nothing run which
took a forty three to twenty eight lead to fifty
to twenty eight. Brianna Waer scored seven points. Badgers got
it up to as many as twenty two points with
the lead and shot forty percent from the floor. Then

(01:48:32):
in the fourth quarter domination by the Badgers twenty three
to ten on the scoreboard. They started scoring the first
seven points of quarter Number four got it out to
as big as a thirty two point lead. Giovanna Spassovski
scored six points. Ronnie Porter had five. Reesea Demio had
her first points ever as a Badger for the sophomore,
and Wisconsin cruised seventy five to forty six. A look

(01:48:55):
at the final team numbers where the Badger shoot forty
five percent tonight, twenty seven of sixty sixteen to fifty
four from the floor from Milwaukee. That's about thirty percent shooting.
Panthers hit seven of twenty one threes. That's thirty three percent.
The Badgers hit seven of twenty four, that's twenty nine percent.
You know, give credit. The Badger's three points shooting has

(01:49:17):
been okay. They've been taking a lot. I don't think
the percentage has been where everybody wants it to be.
But they come out here in these first games hitting threes.
First three games, I think they hit five threes in
the first quarter of the opener. They hit four here tonight.
I'd have to double check what that was against Barquette,
but I know they hit a couple of threes there
against the Golden Eagles too in the first quarter. But overall,

(01:49:38):
seven to twenty four free throw line fourteen to fifteen
for the Badgers, that's ninety three percent. Seven of eight
for Milwaukee rebounding plus two for the Badgers tonight, thirty
two to thirty offensive boards minus two for Wisconsin. Milwaukee
out rebounded them on the offensive class eight to six,
but the Badgers led second chance points eleven to seven.
Fourteen assists as a team from the Badge eleven for

(01:50:01):
the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (01:50:02):
Tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:50:03):
Turnovers looked like this, twenty five turnovers from Milwaukee, the
Badgers had just eleven, and a huge differential on points
off turnovers. It was a thirty two to eight points
off turnovers advantage for Wisconsin. Off the bench, Badgers had

(01:50:24):
forty six of their seventy five points from the bench,
twenty six points for Milwaukee. In the paint, Wisconsin thirty
four points, Milwaukee had eight. So look at those two numbers,
thirty four to eight in the paint thirty two to
eight and points off turnovers for Wisconsin. Big big numbers there.
Sixteen steals tonight for the Badgers, three from Milwaukee.

Speaker 1 (01:50:45):
Let's see here was the blocks? Where are the blocks?

Speaker 2 (01:50:47):
Eight blocks tonight for the Badgers, zero for the Panthers.
So big advantage there too. Wisconsin led pretty much the
entire way thirty nine of the forty minutes tonight, the
Badgers led in six two and one this season. We'll
take a break, come back and look at the individual numbers. Next,
get some highlights to get too. We'll hear from assistant
coach Evan Johnson and in a little bit as well.

Postgame show continues at the Cole Center seventy five forty six.
Milwaukee is a winner here tonight, now joined by Wisconsin
assistant coach Evan Johnston. Congratulations, big game You've led for
thirty nine of the forty minutes tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:53:29):
How'd you see it unfold?

Speaker 28 (01:53:31):
Yeah, we had an opportunity to bounce back from our
game after we played Marquette this weekend, and we really responded.
Kids were locked in. They knew how important this game was,
how big of a game, an opportunity was for us
to try to continue to grow and the whole entire
game that intencity was there.

Speaker 2 (01:53:48):
Three games now two to one. But during those three games,
three different leading scorers, and tonight it was Breonna Ware
who had thirteen points and a very efficient like four
to seven. She got to the free throw line, made
three of four. Did you see her game tonight?

Speaker 1 (01:54:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 28 (01:54:01):
I thought she played well. I think she came in
and I think it started with her defensive effort. I
think that that impacted her offense later on, Like she
was able to come in and pressure their guards, turn
them over, and that kind of got her fired up.
And then shots started falling for her after that, so
complete game effort for her, not just scoring the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:54:17):
Yeah, I talk about the defensive effort and the steals
Ronnie had four, your team had sixteen. Where had three
of those? So season high sixteen steals?

Speaker 1 (01:54:25):
What was the key to that?

Speaker 28 (01:54:26):
Yeah, we talked about it a lot in the pregame
shoot around, walk through practice yesterday, like we wanted to
be more active. We felt like we had too many
opportunities that we missed out on in the past where
we weren't pressuring as much as we should have been,
and it was a point of emphasis and we were
able to execute that.

Speaker 2 (01:54:42):
Gift to Chenna, I really like her game. She finishes
just shy of a double double, nine points and eight
rebounds tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:54:49):
What do you see from gift?

Speaker 28 (01:54:50):
I see something it's constantly growing, Like she has gotten
progressively better every single game, and she gets better every
single day. Like she's more patient with the ball, She's
reading and understanding what the defense is doing whenever she's
catching it, and then she's able to take advantage of
the opportunities that are presented to her. She's staying within herself,
keeping it simple and really starting to thrive.

Speaker 2 (01:55:10):
I got to ask you too about the second Lady's
score because there's so many players every game, we get
to talk about so many different people. It's awesome. You
Havevonna Spissovski. That's a career high tonight for her with
the eleven points. How'd you see her game on the
floor tonight.

Speaker 28 (01:55:23):
Loved everything from her, Like yo, if you watch her
on the bench, she's one of the most engaged teammates
I've ever seen, Like she genuinely gets happy for everybody
that's her teammate. She consistently calls out our calls up
her teammates, you know, throughout the game, and I thought
that it was there. She hit that early three kind
of gave her a little confidence going through the rest
of the game, and she kept attacking after that.

Speaker 2 (01:55:43):
Talking about, you know, teammates and how everybody supports each
other in this team. Reese Ha Demio late in the game,
she gets her first points as a Wisconsin Badger for
the Wisconsin native, had to feel good to watch her
accomplish that.

Speaker 28 (01:55:56):
I loved it, I mean, and I loved watching our
bench celebrate, Like everybody understands that everybody on our team
has a role in Reese's an incredible teammate, Like she
is so happy for everybody. She always cheering on people,
trying to help them be their best. And then it
was awesome to see how they responded when she scored.
Everybody on the bench was jumping around, arms up, waving around,
and it was really awesome to see.

Speaker 7 (01:56:17):
Proud of her.

Speaker 2 (01:56:17):
Yeah, Greg, good, quick, quick turn around. I was going
to say, Bowling Green coming up on Wednesday. N another
in state game on Sunday against Green Bay, so you
can get the Phoenix coming up on Sunday and Bowling
Green coming up on Wednesday.

Speaker 28 (01:56:28):
Yeah, that's right. I'm two incredible teams. They're as well
coached as you're going to see. And we've got to
be able to turn this around quick and be ready
and be prepared a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:56:35):

Seventy five forty six Wisconsin a winner over Milwaukee. John
Auvius with two postgame show continues. Let's take a look
at the leading scorers and take a deep inside look
at the individual numbers tonight, starting first for the visitors
from Milwaukee, eight points for Williams. She was the leading
scorer for the Panthers tonight in twenty six minutes to

(01:59:28):
assists in two rebounds. After that, Cassidy de Falco had
seven points in seventeen minutes, a couple of rebounds, six
points from Gomez coming off the bench late, played thirteen
minutes a lot in the second half, two of four
from the floor, five points from Fitzgibbon, five points from
Recklets let's see here. Then after that the scoring goes

(01:59:49):
to four points for Loman, two of six, three points
from Silas, two points from Pew and two points from
McNair and then the last name of I'm about to
tell you, Jory Buwalda two points. Badgers did a number
on her. She came in with two consecutive games of
double figure scoring, almost two double doubles. She was averaging

(02:00:11):
a double double at fourteen and a half points and
eleven and a half rebounds, and Buwalda goes for two
points ozho of seven eight rebounds in twenty three minutes,
and the Badgers really kind of checked her out of
the game. Basically for Wisconsin third straight game with a
different leading scorer. Tonight, it was Brianna Where thirteen points

(02:00:32):
from where she scored nine of the thirteen in the
second half. Four of seven from the floor, she had
two three pointers eighteen minutes, also had three steals. Tonight
eleven points from Yovanna Spossovski, a career high for the sophomore.
Three of six shooting, she made all of her free
throws four to four. Also collected four rebounds for the Badgers.

(02:00:54):
Nine points from the Badgers senior Ronnie Porter, who had
two quick fouls in the first sixty seconds of the game.
She ended up playing seventeen minutes, handed off two assists
and also picked up four steals. The Badgers as a
team had sixteen total steals. That's a season high through
three games. Gift Uchenna had nine points, eight rebounds, two blocks,

(02:01:16):
and two steals for Wisconsinchenna is a transfer, one of
six transfers on this year's Badger's team. She's from Southern Illinois,
but almost misses out on her second straight While she
does miss out, almost had her second straight double double
Destiny Howell nine points. First game this season, she has
not scored in double figures. Howell had a great start

(02:01:37):
with seven of those nine in the first quarter, two
assists and two rebounds in a steal for Howell. After that,
the scoring goes to five points Shay Bolan on two
of five shooting. She also picked up three rebounds for
the Badgers. Four points for Doria Zaya, who had three
blocks tonight and two assists. Jaya had six blocks in

(02:01:59):
the opener freshman, so you can tell her defensive presence
pretty strong, along with Giftu Chenna. Four points from Lacy
Steele one of five shooting for Steal with three rebounds
tonight in a total of twelve minutes. She also picked
up two steals did steal. Four points from Lily Kron
on one of one shooting for the Badgers, two steals

(02:02:20):
for Krawn. After that, the scoring goes to two points
or excuse me, three points rather for Kira Daniels, who's
coming off team high seventeen points on Saturday. She picked
up four rebounds in twenty one minutes tonight, and then
Nikki Kirsten scored two points handed off two assists for

(02:02:41):
the Badgers, and Reese Hatemio her first basket as a Badger,
the sophomore one of one in two minutes. She scored
two points four Wisconsin Big Time Bucky wins seventy five
to forty six to twenty nine point route of Milwaukee.
We'll take a break, come back and listen to some
of the highlights from this one. Next, this is Batcher's

Seventy five to forty six. Wisconsin is a winner tonight
over the Milwaukee Panthers. John Audiis Wi do is. The
Badgers improved to two and one this season. They're only
lost Saturday at Marquette in overtime by three points. Badgers
did have an eight point lead on Saturday with about
two and a half minutes to go, but now two
and one after the route of the Panthers. Up next

(02:05:31):
Bowling Green. But before we talk about what's upcoming in
this Badger schedule, a couple more home games I do
want to discuss in just a moment. Let's first take
a listen to some of the highlights from tonight's twenty
nine point Wisconsin win. Here's where rising for three straight
on and it rolls in the Badgers hit their second
three pointer of the first quarter. Guides to the corner

(02:05:52):
to cont to Spasowski with four on the clock, and
she'll drill the three, her first.

Speaker 1 (02:05:57):
Basket of the season.

Speaker 2 (02:05:59):
And that's how the first quarter will end with Channa
downhill to the ramp, counted at a foul for gift
Uchenna high Five's your teammates and Uchenna we'll try to
get a three point play the six to three senior
from Nigeria Wisconsin front court. Here's Kirsten dancing with the basketball,
has a I'll throw it at the corner. Here's where

(02:06:20):
nothing but that for Brianna Laire number three for three
foo all down top and then her pass is stolen
by Ronnie Porter, and Porter has a wide open runway
play off.

Speaker 1 (02:06:33):
Good for Romney steal in the finish for Porter.

Speaker 2 (02:06:38):
We'll see if one of these Badgers get their first
points of the year as Toomey or down low on
the left, it's up and in first points ever as
a Wisconsin Badger for Rees Totomeio three seconds to go
in this game in bounds three ball hoisted with one second,
It's gonna splash through.

Speaker 1 (02:06:56):
It's good by Gomez.

Speaker 2 (02:06:58):
There's the final and Wisconsin routes Milwaukee and game number
three of the season. Final score from the Coal Center
Wisconsin seventy five, Milwaukee forty six. And there you go
some of the highlights from tonight's Badgers win. So up
next for the University of Wisconsin, another home game. This

is will be game number four of four in eight days.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
