now joined by the Badger's head coach Robin pinched In.
Your team has had four different starting lineups in as
many games. Well, we see a fifth different lineup and
what's the biggest reason for putting so many different combinations
at the start.

Yeah, you know, it's a completely new team and just
trying to find different rotations. It's a long season. Everyone's
got to stay ready. That's the most important thing. And
I know we talk a lot about these starting lineups,
but it's really about the start of our rotations. And
you know, that's the mindset we want our players to have,
as we over me and and just having that mentality.

So I think our teams that a really good place
with that. They understand that, and that's how we're going
to proceed.

I like the we over me because that brings me
to my next question. For those who don't know. If
you come out to a women's basketball game this season,
the team is being introduced as a unit instead of
individual starters. How did that happen? Yeah? Did you like that?
I loved it?

Speaker 14 (04:50):
Something pretty unique and different outside the box. You know,
we watched a clip with the Patriots and Bill Belichick
and just you know, he's had such a strong culture
there and just an opportunity to just continue to reinforce
the importance that everybody plays a really important part in
this program, and you know, we like it to be

player led and just that unity that we're looking.

To have talking with Wisconsin head coach Robin Pinchtin. Destiny
Howell has been a big scorer for your team this season.
Recently she reached career points of fifteen hundred. What do
you like most about her game?

Speaker 14 (05:25):
Yeah, you know, I think she's just honestly getting started
for us. She was out quite a bit this offseason,
just coming back from an injury, and so I think
she's still.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Getting comfortable out there.

Speaker 14 (05:37):
And you know, offensively, she's got the ability to score
on three levels. She hangs her hat a little bit
too much on that scoring and she's such a dynamic scorer,
and I get it she invests a lot, but I
really feel like she has the ability to impact the
game on the other end of the ball too, And
just really study you know, you can tell that she's
a veteran.

She's been there, she's done that.

I think she brings great poise to the court for
her and her teammates.

here tonight today and now joined by Badger's assistant coach
McGee man. I want to talk about the Phoenix, but
first I want to get your thoughts. What impress you
the most in your team's win over Bowling Green this week?

Speaker 27 (09:31):
Man, I'd say probably just the way we were. We
were sharing the ball, obviously, had multiple people that were
scoring in double digits, So, I mean that's been something
that's stuck out for us throughout the course of the summer,
especially when you have I mean, everybody's for the most
part is new and getting to know each other's games.
So just seeing them share the ball and like kind
of play to each other's strengths was definitely the thing

that kind of took away from it. It's always good
to see all those people in the stat sheet.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, the Green Bay Phoenix come in with a full
old record. You've talked about all the new players you have,
they have a lot of turnover on their side as well.
Their leading scorer this season, Megan Schultz, played ninety seven
total minutes last season. I guess we'll start with her
kind of what's the scout on her?

Speaker 27 (10:12):
Yeah, I mean, obviously gotten a great chance to step
up and get a lot of minutes here early on
the season, and it has been a really good force
I thing for them, especially in the paint. They've been
pretty paint and driven their first four games of the season,
and she's a big part of that. Holds it down
willing pass her, but also somebody who they can punch
it into on the inside and rely on a bucket

to score.

So yeah, what's the keys to a Badger's win today?

I say, for us, just like setting the tone on
our home court, both on both sides of the balls,
stuff that we've been trying to work on since since
started season. I think that's something that we need to
come out with and do. But like I said, offensively
and defensively, probably pushing the pace as opposed to them
probably wanting to slow it down a little bit more.
Playing inside out, I think just you know, being able

to attack the piece of the paint for us and
whether that leads to paint points or or obviously we
love the three ball, but playing that inside out for
us I think we think will be huge.

Wisconsin at three and one this season? Posts four in
oh Green Bay, the Phoenix were picked to finish first
in the Horizon League. They are the defending Horizon League
regular season and tournament champs from a year ago. Badgers
in Phoenix Plane for the first time since the twenty
twenty two campaign, as Wisconsin suffered a ten point lost

at the hands of the Phoenix. That's the last time
these two programs in state have met. The last Badgers
winning this series came back in December of twenty sixteen.

Wisconsin meanwhile, coming off a dominating win against the Bowling
