Alabama reached the Elite Eight in consecutive years for the first time in program history. The Crimson Tide made 25 of 51 3-point attempts to break the record of 21 set by Loyola Marymount in 1990.

taken carab Business the Alabama Crimson Tide, setting a new
mark in the NCAA tournament with shooting threes in a
ballgame fifty one making threes in a ballgame twenty five

seventy five of Alabama's one hundred and thirteen points in
their matchup with BYU came from beyond the art and
Marcus Sears was sizzling first half second half he had
struggled in the tournament, shooting oh no not Mark Sears
eleven of eighteen, ten of sixteen from beyond the arc

thirty four points in the game, leading the Crimson Tide
to a convincing victory as they advance. Then, in the
second contest of the evening, the Florida Gators, the champions
of the SEC, in a tough battle, a two point
game at the half against Maryland, but the Gators pull

this season, winning eighty seven to seventy one going away,
the Florida Gators taking care of the Maryland Terrapins and
ending their season. But again forty thirty eight at the break,

the issues that you deal with with Florida, and really
I would say, in fairness to Maryland, the issues that
you deal with when you get into the NCAA tournament.

the lack of scoring on the interior from Victor Lockin

out a year was a. Thing, oh you want to
transfer From clemson To, michigan do, it but you're not
gonna play in the twenty twenty five basketball. Season you
could play in twenty twenty, six and student athletes willingly

did it. Now the other thing that often happened was
if a guy had red shirted because he did not
want to lose another. YEAR a lot of times those
guys didn't do a lot of. Transferring and so the

one thing that that aspect of the rules gave us
was more. STABILITY i, MEAN i talked about rosters et,
cetera et cetera, Yesterday and the truth of the matter
is THAT i didn't want to say anything about players
who transfer having to sit. Out AND i think when

we've got this situation where players are being, compensated that
is not the worst thing to put into the, rules
especially if you had some sort of nil deal with
another program that, hey you could, transfer you can get
paid by SCHOOL, x but you can't play for SCHOOL x,

yet and that would slow the. Portal that would also
slow the amount that players could make or would, make
BECAUSE i think the, market much like, everything is going
to demand that the prices continue to go. UP i

don't think college contracts are going to get less over the,
years if you're following. Me BUT i think if you
could lock guys in and if they had to, sit
that you could keep contracts a little bit. LOWER i
don't think it would get so crazy out of, balance
because a kid might not be willing to go somewhere

for more money if they had to. Sit even if
the year didn't count against, them they might still be
willing to say, no you know, What i'd rather just
stay here and, Play stay here and play making a
million versus go to where you are and sit and

year there was a lot of question marks About Kate.
Clubnic as a matter of, fact you might remember coming
out of the spring, game there were conversations, about, well

Should Trent pearman be the starting? Quarterback? Now how silly
do those conversations now? Seem twelve months, later After kate
Club nick passes for thirty six hundred and thirty nine
yards thirty six touchdowns while also rushing for seven touchdowns

and rushing for four hundred and sixty three yards offset
all of that by just six, interceptions a run to
The College Football, playoff the twelve team, playoff like the
the feeling about K clubnick right now is absolutely greater

than it was two years. Ago two years ago when
there were high expectations for him coming in off of
helping Lead clumson too an A sec championship Against North
carolina and then obviously in the bowl game Against. Tennessee
he looked like a young, freshman but there was still
a lot of, hope a lot of belief That Kay

clubnick could, be you, know the NEXT, bmoc the big
man on, campus and nothing wrong with. That but then
you go To duke and you lose twenty eight to
seven and K clubnick looks inexperienced and lost in bad game,
management sliding before the fourth down marker like it was

to exacerbate themselves throughout the, season so much so THAT
i Think cad really got into his. Head and a year,
ago a year, ago When clemson would have a hiccup
or an. Issue it did feel LIKE K clubnick in

some respects might be on the brink of one of

that and at one point along the, WAY i think
everybody started to get a lot more comfortable, that, oh
you know, WHAT k club is going to figure out
how to make the play and so heading into this,

the feelings AROUND K clubnick is that he's going to
have a great. Year but that was sort of the
mindset two years ago and he. Didn't do you have

concern that because the expectations are much, higher that he

clebman will pass for more than thirty six one hundred
and thirty nine. Yards do you think he'll pass for

the spring game and all, that but his number is

a good job a lot of the. Time most of
the time dust when you say, quote anytime you get
an opportunity to yell at some of these, guys it's.
Great and if your player is playing spectacularly and you

tough to find errors and correctible mistakes and things like,
that then you know it doesn't take away from the
player that can be but people have to have constructive

feedback some every player on the team needs to have
his butt schewed out every once in a, while because
in a, game when the pressure's, on you want them
to have that sense of urgency and that ability to
navigate it without making a key. Mistake and so For.

be able to watch. It they too got open, shots
but they knocked them down and so McNeese had to

Inside we're gonna frustrate. It and on the other end of,

to what they saw they because they didn't know what

historically and that first half with such good shooters on
