Okay, celebrity access on a linenow with the fabulous and beautiful and multitalented
Monica Barbaro. It is nice tohave you here. Wow, thank you.
It's well, I mean, I'mjust looking at your body of work
and I feel like I, firstof all, I know it's not like
overnight success. I get it.I know. I'm sure you've worked harder

(00:21):
than anyone could ever know. Youonly know what you did to get all
of these amazing opportunities. But I'mlike looking at your list and I'm not
even an actress, and I'm jealousof all of the projects and the people
you've worked with. It's incredible.Thank you. Yeah, I guess that
from a lot of a lot offriends. They're like, no way,
a lot of guys friends actually prettylike just speaking out for all the action

(00:47):
stars I've got that work. Well, first of all, let's go to
tap Gun Maverick. Now, myhusband always says the dumbest things, like
he'll see like an actress or anactor Andy, We're like, weren't they
in that movie? Why didn't theyjust retire? Couldn't they just retire off
that? And I'm like, well, maybe they want to continue their profession.
Sal I don't know, but likelike with Top Gun Maverick, I
mean that movie was number one forone hundred billion days. Yeah, it

(01:10):
was that. It was a veryexciting run. That's so funny because I
feel like the opposite thing usually happens. I feel like you see people in
these movies, and then if theydon't do anything after, it's like,
whatever happens. And so so we'reall just like working to make sure none
of us, you know, doretire anytime soon. Well that's just my

(01:34):
husband. You don't have to listento him. I Yeah, don't worry
about that anyway. But let's talk. First of all you've been I'm going
to put a link up to allof your projects and people can read more
about you and get connected with youon social media as well. But I
do want to talk to about Fubarwith Arnold Schwarzenegger. That looks really,
really fun and I know it's goingto be happening this Memorial Day weekend,
So tell me a little bit aboutthe project. Yeah, it's a father

(01:57):
daughter spy series where essentially these twohave been lying to each other for at
least she's been lying for a decade. He's been lying her whole life about
there the true you know, identityand job title, and there's a lot
there are a lot of issues thathave been kept under the surface and really

(02:20):
bobbled up that all start to comeout when they realize exactly the ways in
which they've been lying lying to eachother. So it makes for you know,
some drama and also some very funnycircumstances bickering in the midst of trying
to save the world. And we'regoing to be able to see that this
weekend. And it's funny because ArnoldSchwarzenegger really did a great job and recreating

(02:43):
himself, reinventing himself and then actuallyputting himself back into positive views, especially
in women's eyes, right, andhe's done such an honest and upfront job
about that. Like I'm excited tosee this as well. So I'm I'm
on this. I can't And wesaw them. We saw the trail for
I forget what we were watching onNetflix the other day, but I saw
the trailer for my huband's like,oh, and we put it on.

(03:05):
You know, you can put ona watch thing or what your lists or
whatever the case it is. Sowe have it ready to go. We're
going to be supporting you this weekend. Oh, thank you. I really
appreciate that. It means a lot. Now, let's also talk about some
of the other things that you likebesides acting. Um, I was just
reading up here that you are ahuge fan of Dior. Is that true?

(03:27):
Yes? Yeah, I just gotto go to my very first fashion
show and your husband, you know, all of the whole team that Dior
has been so lovely with me,and I've gotten to know them and just
yeah, yeah, I love them. Are you gonna do it like a
perfume for them? Or have you? Or can you? And if you

(03:47):
do, can you request that yousay? Do you know at the end
of every commercial, can you pleasedo that? Yeah? If that goes
down, I'll definitely make sure Iwhispered door very close. Excellent. I
love hearing. It's the rule.Well, so so let's go back to
to your career and you're acting andyour first gig. What was your first

(04:09):
gig? Um? I mean Ihad a lot of first gigs. I've
been doing this for a minute, but my first like sort of big TV
gig was unreal. That was thefirst series that I booked and I did

(04:29):
the second season of that and learnedso much so quickly and had a really
great time on that. But beforethat was years of, like you know,
working on some student films, andI did a lot of commercial work
up in the Bay Area, andbefore that, I was a dancer.
So you know, it's been along time. Triple Threat, Ladies and
gentlemen, Triple Threat. Now listen, um, I know that I don't

(04:51):
have a lot of time with you, and I really really do appreciate you
taking time out to chat with ushere because we're huge fans obviously of the
work that you've done so far.I know they're calling even though you've done
so much. The top Gun Maverickrole, I mean, really, that
was an absolute incredible moment in time, I think for everybody involved with that
project. But I am thoroughly excitedfor your next project. And I don't

(05:13):
know in the world of film whereyou're at with it, but the biopic
of Bob Dylan, a complete unknownyou playing Joan Bias, and it's also
going to start Timothy Shelman. Iam. I'm thrilled for this. I
cannot wait for this. I amtoo. I mean, I can't say
much about it, but it's absolutelya dream job. And to get to

(05:33):
work with James Mangold too, it'sjust another real pinch mean moment. He's
a great director and I'm really lookingforward to it. I mean, Joan
Bias that is so iconic. Ijust it's now I'm gonna ask you,
like the dumbest question on the planetright now. This is so stupid.
I know, I hear it comingout right now, but like, are

(05:55):
you do you play guitar? Areyou gonna be sycing? Like how are
you doing this role? Are you? Can you not talk about that?
I can't say much about it,but yes, good playing guitar and singing
will be that I was doing that. Oh my god, that's amazing.
All right, well you have tocome back and chat with us. But
meanwhile, Foo Bar is going tobe on this weekend on Netflix. It

(06:16):
is premiering, and we've got youhave got so much to do in this
industry. You are taking things over. Congratulations and all your awards that you've
been reseeing and nominations, and congratulationson all your projects, Monica Barbara,
anything else you can leave us withor anything else you want to let people
know about food bar to help promoteit for this weekend. It's a lot

(06:40):
of fun. I mean, ifyou have Netflix, I think it'll be
served right to you. I hopepeople enjoy it. I think I think
it's just hilarious circumstances and it's somedark comedy for sure, but it's pretty
fun and we all get along great. So we know, Arnold Schwarzenegger is

(07:01):
known for doing some pranks and havinga little fun on set. Did he
did he not disappoint in that area? Did you guys have some fun?
Yeah, we definitely have some fun. He never pranked me, but it's
probably just because he's just like reallyintimidated by me. But uh um,
yeah, No, we had agreat time. He and I give each
other a hard time, and Ithink really helped out dynamic. We get

(07:26):
along well and work well together, and then I think at the end of
the day just also you know, don't let each other live anything down.
So it was it was pretty perfectfor our dynamic on as these characters.
Oh, that's fantastic. I knowhe loves animals. He's a huge animal
advocate as well. Now, wherewhere are you in that department? Are

(07:47):
you a fan of the pups?Or the cats or the donkeys in his
case. Oh oh yeah, no, absolutely, Um, I have a
rescue pup and I'm you know,I yes, yeah, we do get
along in that respect. I thinkI'm a little more. I think I'm
a little too intense for his tastebecause I don't eat me. Oh,

(08:11):
welcome to the club. Here wego. Yeah, but he but he's
but my dog does because as theydo. And he definitely fed my pup
a lot of schnitzel. On set, Monica Barbara Eure of delay continued success.
We'll be watching you this weekend, and you have to come back to
talk about the Bob Dylan project.I'm so excited for that as well.

(08:33):
Yeah. Absolutely, thanks for havingme. Have a great day, ye
