ESPN fifteen thirty dot com.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Cincy three sixty continues on ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati's sports station.
It's time for Sincy three sixty quick hits on ESPN
fifteen thirty.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
All right, not a lot of time. Welcome in. Mose
got his locks that he left us a couple of
minutes ago. Piece of information. The biggest t Higgins is
on the injury injury report, a surprise quad injury. He's
officially now listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles. Meanwhile,
yesterday afternoon, the Reds released a statement from the Pete
(00:40):
Rose family saying that they will be having a celebration
of life a visitation for Pete Rose on November tenth.
It's going to be open for fourteen hours from seven
am to nine pm at Great American Ballpark. You'll line
up at Crosley Terrace. You'll be directed through lines to
a visitation area that will overlook the field from the
main concourse. So keep that in my November tenth will
(01:03):
be a visitation for Pete Rose in Cincinnati. All right,
that's enough of that. Let's get to Locks of the
Weekend from Oeger Happy Friday, Degenerates, It's time for Locks
of the Weekend on since e three sixty show. Let's
make you some money.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Thank you very much. This is what feels like a
swan song, a farewell, a goodbye. I see you next time.
Perhaps the final edition of Locks of the Weekend from
my side to the table, barring some sort of last
second stay of execution. If somebody swoops in at the
last minute and sponsors this segment, it will return. I
guess on Monday, but that hasn't happened. It's Friday afternoon,
(01:45):
so this does feel like the final ever edition of
Locks of the Weekend. We will take with us amazing
memories and larger bank accounts. Let's proceed like a professional
and start with college football. Indiana gets College Game Day.
The Hoosiers are an awesome story. I love it when
these schools that you typically associate with basketball suddenly are
really good at football. I'm a huge Kirk signetty guy.
(02:07):
I love this guy's I love the way he coaches,
I love the way he speaks, I love the swagger
that he has. I just wish he had it started quarterback.
This week. Indiana was awesome, hammering Nebraska, but the win
came at an expense. Curtis Rourke is Pro Football Focus's
highest graded passer. He is number one in passer rating.
His adjusted completion percentage is absurd seventy seven point four,
(02:30):
fifteen touchdowns, three picks. If they had him, I take them. Washington,
though on the road, is getting seven points. I know
it's an early kick for the West Coast team, but
I'm gonna go ahead and take the Huskies. I'm gonna
take the home dog Wisconsin. Luke Fickles team has given
up sixteen points over the last three weeks. Their defense
is a lot better Penn State. There's stuff happening with
(02:51):
that program. I'm getting six and a half points. I'll
take the six and a half points. I'm gonna lay
twenty and a half with Miami the Hurricane second National
EPA per play Florida State one hundred and third, Miami
number one in explosive plays, Florida State one hundred third,
Miami Hammers Florida State. Give me the Hurricanes. I'll lay
(03:12):
the twenty and a half points. Kansas State's gonna lay
nine and a half against Kansas. I think they cover this.
They've won three conference games by an average of seventeen points,
and if you take away the Colorado game, that number
hikes to close to four touchdowns. Kansas Is lost their
Big twelve games by nearly a touchdown on average. Kansas State,
the number is kind of big. I'll go ahead and
(03:34):
lay the nine and a half. I'll lay twenty five
and a half with Ohio State Nebraska. I'm sorry took
you last week. You'll let me down. Ohio State is
better than Indiana. Indiana is really good. Indiana just beat
Nebraska by forty nine points. I'm taking the buck, guys.
I'll lay the twenty five and a half. OSU has
won the last seven games in the series by almost
thirty one points on average. You see and Colorado State. Now,
(04:00):
before you accuse me of being a homer, what did
I say last week about the Arizona State game. I
said it was a stay away. I didn't like the
six and a half, and I was wrong. Bearcats covered.
I think Cincinnati keeps this close. I think Cincinnati's got
a chance to win. But this isn't about winning the game.
It's about covering the spread. Bearcats are getting five and
a half points. UC's offense is really good, really balanced.
(04:25):
Now they have a common opponent, Colorado hammered UCF. Shador
Sanders was awesome. Brendan Sorsby was also good against UCF
as the second half war on the difference was in
that game, UCF played kJ Jefferson. They played essentially a
third stringer in the game against Cincinnati. I think this game. Look,
(04:50):
I worry about Shador Sanders. I worry about what they
can do to Cincinnati secondary. I really worry about the
Bearcats kicking game. The end of the first half, sequences
had been lunky. That's probably why I can't pick him outright.
But I get five and a half points here. I'll
take the five and a half points. Give me the
Bearcats on the road. If you want every Week eight
(05:11):
game against the spread, go to my weekly column for
Forbes Betting. It's free, there's no paywall, kind of like
this segment. It's not sponsored, but it doesn't need to be.
I will give you three games you can go read
about the rest. I love Green Bay laying four against Jacksonville.
Drake may Still threw for two hundred and seventy six
yards in that game. In London and he's okay, he
(05:34):
has no one to throw to. But that sort of
got lost in the shuffle of well Gerard Mayo calling
his team soft and the Jacksonville Jaguars winning that game
in London Handley, they come back. Jordan Love has the
league's highest touchdown rate. He's four and one against the
spread in his last five road games. Packers have a
top five offense in Dvoa, they now face the league's
(05:55):
worst red zone defense. I'll take Green Bay. I will
lay points as road favorites. Also gonna do the same
with Atlanta. This game would be a lot of fun.
It's a rematch. Bucks. Falcons played an amazingly fun Thursday
night football game a few weeks ago. When the line
opened before Tampa Bay played on Monday, the Bucks were
laying two and a half It's now Atlanta two and
(06:18):
a half point favorites. Because of the injuries to Mike
Evins and Chris Godwin. Falcons were flat last week losing
to Seattle. But Kirk Cousins threw for over five hundred
yards against the Bucks the first time, and Tampa Bay
doesn't have their weapons to keep up. I'll go ahead
and lay the two and a half points with Atlanta
as a road favorite. I will be honest with you,
(06:38):
of all the games this weekend, I think Bengals Eagles
is the toughest to handicap. Look, Bengals are zero and
three at home. They've lost twice as big favorites Phillies offense,
there's weaponry that neither the Browns or Giants have. But
I'm gonna wager on the quarterback who doesn't make mistakes.
(06:59):
Joe Burrow's number of it the last couple of weeks
haven't been huge, but despite being under pressure a lot,
he didn't turn the ball over against the Giants. He
didn't turn the ball over against the Cleveland Browns. No
quarterback with more than one hundred and ninety pass attempts
has a lower interception percentage. Jalen Hurts still leads the
league and turnover worthy plays. New York leaned into Saquon Barkley.
(07:21):
I think the Bengals are slightly better against the run
than they've been. They did a good job in that
game a few weeks ago against Derrick Henry. Eagles have
not scored in the first quarter of this season, and
they have covered in just thirteen of their last thirty
three road games. Bengals breakthrough at home, they get back
to five hundred, they win, they cover, and we talk
(07:42):
about him on the Tony and Mo Football Show at
Twin Peaks in Westchester. Don't forget Tony and I will
beat the Holy Grail on Sunday morning with Ken Bruce
starting at nine to oh five. We will be bleary
eyed coming back from Colorado, hopefully after a Bearcat win
and hopefully setting up a Bengals victory Austin.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Back to you, Thank you very much. That's a lot
of scintillating stuff and hopefully not the last time we
get
