Speaker 1 (00:00):
Lee Sterling joins us this time every single week. Paramount
sports.com is the website. He helps us make money on
pro and college football every single week. And he's with
us now.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hello, Lee. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. Uh,
I almost got the trifecta almost had, uh, uh, Cincinnati win,
which we wanted to have happen against the dolphins. And, uh,
Almost got the cover there. So close. I got one
of my free bets at plus seven and a half,

(00:32):
but the Dolphins kicker misses the extra point. I mean,
isn't that grounds to be like cut, excommunicated, all of
the above?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
You know, it was, it was interesting. I watched that
game at an establishment in Northern Kentucky and you could tell,
you could, you could tell the people who just thought like, Hey,
that's cool. They missed the extra point. It might help
the Bengals and the folks who knew that that game
was significant for any of us. The sound, I enjoyed that.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Did you have the Bengals or you had the dolphins?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I had Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
You don't want to say.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
I had Cincinnati. I laid six and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Ooh, okay, smart. Bought it down. So if you lost
that wager, you might not want to gamble too much longer.
So there was the opportunity to get six and a
half or seven and a half if you were smart
and become a winner both ways.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
They sweet-spotted.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
All right, let's start with the other team in Cincinnati.
We were just talking about the Bearcats on the road.
I think they have to win this game. They're very
slight underdogs against West Virginia, who hasn't won yet in
the Big 12.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
West Virginia is, I mean, just so up and down,
but this is the West Virginia lost to Rich Rodriguez
Bowl in classic fashion. They scored 31 points and gave
up 52. This defense can't stop anything. Before their bye week,
Cincinnati gave up 34 and scored seven against the same

(02:07):
Arizona team. West Virginia won and covered the last two
meetings in 2023 and 24, but These are the two
worst defenses right now going probably in the Big 12,
and I just think that Cincinnati has maybe a little
bit better defense than special teams. Shootout, Cincinnati, 41-38.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, that's kind of been what all the West Virginia
games have been like. Hopefully the trend of them losing
them continues. In Bloomington, the best player in the sport,
Jeremiah Smith and the Buckeyes head to take on an
Indiana team. I was impressed by what IU did on
the road against Nebraska last week because that felt like
Nebraska thought, this is finally our chance to get a

(02:50):
win against a ranked team. The Hoosiers at home getting
three and a half.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Well, you can make a case for three quarters. Nebraska
was clearly the better team. So I think you really
have to give a lot of credit, like you said,
to Indiana. They waited them out, and it's tough, I mean,
to cover a big spread when you're going into the
wind at least half of the game. So, I mean,
they were 30 to 35, 40-mile-an-hour gusts. So they were

(03:18):
strong and tough, Indiana. And then when they had the chance,
their head coach dialed up two Big-time plays that were
easy touchdowns. I think the problem here is Ohio State
has two big weaknesses, and no one really talks about
it that much. I don't think their front seven gets
much of a pass rush. They have nine sacks in
six games against Ball State. And in all the games

(03:41):
this year, they've had a lead, even the Texas game,
for three quarters against Ball State, one sack. Kent State, one.
And Maryland, a big goose egg. And on top of that,
Jeremiah Smith, he's getting 12, 15, 17 targets every None
of the other receivers, all these five stars, so far
no one's panning out here. I like Indiana at home.

(04:03):
I think the Roy team is favored. I like the
Indiana Hoosiers straight up 24-23.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Lee Sterling, ParamountSports.com, taking the home dog. All right, no
Bengals this weekend, but no shortage of NFL games to
look at. The Jacksonville Jaguars coming off that gift win
in London, laying a short number against the Texans.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
And you know what? If you win a game like that,
usually another game this season, you probably should have won
and you lost. And you can point to the first
game against Denver that they played this year. And I mean,
they dominated for most of that game. So I think
Jacksonville might be one of the top two, three teams
in the AFC. I know they got Houston added Marvin

(04:46):
Harrison Jr., but even if he plays much, I think
this guy's a dog here. Maybe with C.J. Stroud, his
former college teammate, you see a little bit of an
uptick in his performance, but I don't think he's much
of anything anymore. Too many drop passes here. They can't
run the football. I mean, they're going to go with

(05:06):
a backup, and their starter, David Montgomery, couldn't do anything.
So I like Jacksonville here. Them staying out there and
waiting for Houston might be an advantage also. I know
D'Amico Ryan has taken over. the defensive play calling, but
against this offense, it may not be enough. I like
Jacksonville here, 30 to 17.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
All right, Lee Sterling, ParamountSports.com. Your game of the week,
AFC North Tilt, the Ravens, maybe looking ahead to Cincinnati
next week, four and a half point favorites against the Browns.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
This is what I'm going to do. I not only
love this game, the Ravens and the Browns, I love
the game tonight, Seattle and Denver. I'm going to give...
Any of your listeners that called, both winners. So we're
on a roll. Even though we did lose on Saturday,
came back on Sunday and Monday with big days. Anyone
wants to get involved? This is our biggest week ever
in the history of Paramount Sports, Mo. I'm going to

unit max wager once every four or five weeks. For
the first time ever in one day, I have a
45 unit college game. and a 50-unit college game. Never

(06:21):

looks to be clear. It's an all-go. So you want
to hop on board. We don't call it October. We
