Speaker 1 (00:01):
Dan Klaskin joins us every week to talk fantasy football.
It's week six. You can hear Dan on Fantistics Insider
Football on SiriusXM Fantasy. You can check out insiderfootball.com. Dan,
I'm 5-0 in one league. I'm 2-3 in the other.
I'm devoting way too much time to the team that
(00:21):
is 5-0. I've got to start paying closer attention to
the team that's 2-3. And as you know, I only
have so much bandwidth, so it's hard for me to
focus on both. That's why I have you here.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, well, paying attention to anything is hard for you
to do sometimes, man. Let's be honest. But you got
to grind it out. Two and three, five and oh,
it doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
A lot of fantasy football season's ahead, and really every
team's being wrecked by it.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
But never, don't give up. You got to keep setting
those lineups.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Let's talk trades. Let's start with the fantasy fallout for
the trade involving Marvin Harrison Jr.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, no doubt about it.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
And I mean, this was a surprising move to say
the least for some, and definitely in fantasy, it's going
to have its impact.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
I mean, and Houston Harrison gets a fresh start.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
He reunites with obviously CJ Straub, but Nico Collins to me,
still the team's top receiver. I do think Harrison's value
stays pretty flat directly.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Here in redraft.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
He's got a lot to prove and needs to play
his way in the lineup on the other side of it.
Michael Wilson gets a potential boost in targets, but also
a lot of boost in attention. So I'm not so
sure this is necessarily good for his value, but he
and Trey McBride will definitely get more targets. And in general,
this is an offense that's going to be playing from behind.
But Mo, as we're talking trades, I mean, just a
(01:40):
few key points to make for, you know, we talk
about don't give up, keep grinding. Trades are a big
part of fantasy and three tips to keep in mind. One,
let's buy low, sell high. I know it sounds simple,
but don't overreact to one bad week or one great week.
You want to really get the best production to make
it a win-win. Nobody wants a crappy trade offer. And
I'm sorry, James, you're peeing.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
I know you're our buddy, but you know, every league,
I got him in like six weeks, but there's those
James Europeans in every league. I mean, nobody wants your
backup kicker and dude, you just picked off.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Waivers for my third round pick. I mean, make it
a win-win. And then the other thing, just trade from
a strength. If you're loaded at receiver, you need running back,
get a receiver to get a running back.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
You don't want to trade a receiver for another receiver.
So it all makes sense. But all things to keep
in mind here as we head towards the stretch.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
All right.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Let's take a look at some impactful injuries as we
look ahead to week six, starting in Baltimore.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah. Well, actually, we're going to start in Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
As I sent you a note, the big news here
in the last couple of hours is with Jalen Hurts
with this.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Blood clot after taking a cleat to the calf.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
And listen, he was a guy that I already was
not high on coming into the season.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
It's looked pretty bad and injuries are abundant.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
This is out and definitely Tanner McKee, probably the starter,
at least for this week. They're talking about picking up
Andy Dalton again, possibly here most.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
So, downgrade all.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Philadelphia options problem is most of them are hurt because
we got saquon barkley out with the hamstring still davante
smith with his hamstring neither of them were seen in
practice today so not looking good for the eagles you
mentioned the ravens lamar jackson he's still not practicing either
i is looking more and more doubtful he goes this
week versus the browns we'll see what happens tomorrow caleb
williams school participants are great news there for the bears
(03:20):
quarterback and the entire offense so we're excited to see
him return A.J. Brown at receiver for the Patriots out
there after week one. They did open up his 21-day window.
Is week six status still very up in the air?
Speaker 2 (03:31):
We'll have to see what happens Friday.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
D.J. Moore looking dicey again, still trying to get back
from that shoulder issue. Stephon Diggs didn't practice. The Niners
will be without Debo Samuel with his hamstring. They're talking
about them IR. Maybe that happens. Maybe it doesn't. Ladd
McConkie has been hurt all season, still pretty limited. And
then running back, Brees Hall with a quad issue still
out for this week. It doesn't look like David Montgomery
is going to play for a few weeks with a groin.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Quinshawn Junkins with the foot.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Kyle Menungai, he's with a toe issue, likely to miss
week six for the Bears. And Travion Anderson, I said
a high ankle sprain, but that day, Mo, he was
a limited participant for the second time in practice.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
I've never seen a guy high ankle sprain come back
and limit the participant two days.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
So it's a real head scratcher there in New England.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Dan Klaskens is with us. Fantistics Insider Football on Sirius
XM Fantasy. Go to insiderfootball.com. Give me your week six studs, duds,
and sleepers.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yeah, we got a couple studs.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Let's start with Matthew Stafford, the Rams versus Arizona. 383 yards,
three touchdowns last week. I mean, it didn't look ugly,
but it did look good in the box score. And
Arizona's defense, they've really struggled with those weapons. I think
he's in maybe for a top-five performance. I love Christian
Watson this week, too. I love him really every week.
He's coming off 143 yards, two touchdowns. He is becoming
(04:46):
the favorite deep threat of Jordan Love in Dallas, one
of the league's worst defenses. So fire him up.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
And then on the dud side, Tony Pollard, we're going
to sit him. I know he's usually boring, but now
he's even.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Splitting more work with TyJ Spears, particularly in passing situations.
They're really struggling to get any type of scoring. So
that touchdown upside is just not there.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Revenge on him. Revenge on Dalton Kincaid.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
I know I was ready to say I was wrong
about him coming into the season after his first good week.
And then since then, though, he's had three catches in
less than three straight games. So not a guy you
can really trust. I'm sitting him. And then my sleepers
of the week, Braylon Allen. Like him, I mentioned Brees
Hall is still out. Allen handled 25 touches last week,
116 rushing yards, a touchdown. And the matchup isn't easy,
(05:25):
but the workload gives him a chance to outperform expectations.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
And with Caleb Williams coming back, I think a real
sneaky guy this week, Roma Dusanek. Solved nine targets last week.
And as I mentioned, Williams trending towards a return.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
So I look for this whole passing offense in Chicago
to get started pretty quickly.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Yeah, I would agree with that. You know, Veterans Day
is obviously going to be here before you know it.
You work very closely with DAV, asking folks around the
country to rally their schools, workplaces, and communities by hosting
a Field of Flags. Tell us more about Field of Flags.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, Mo, I appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
And, you know, DAV helps more than one million veterans
and their families every year through our free programs and services.
And with Veterans Day approaching, you can help make that
work possible. You can host the DAV Field of Flags,
bring your community together. We have them on all 50 states.
I'd love to see some more schools in the area. Heck,
you can do one in your own yard. It's all
to raise funds and awareness for DAV, and it's all free.
It doesn't cost anything to sign up. You can learn more,
(06:21):
get involved. It's fieldofflags.com.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Field of flags.com. Dan Klaskens offering fantasy football advice every
single week. You can hear him on a serious XM
fantasy post of a fantistics insider football. And again, make
sure you check out insider football.com. You're the best. We'll
talk next week.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Looking forward to it already. Enjoy all these great games.
