Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're going to talk fantasy football as we do every
single Thursday with our guy, Dan Klaskens, host of Fantistics
Insider Football on SiriusXM Fantasy and InsiderFootball.com. You know, I'm in,
I'm in pretty good shape. Six and O in one league,
three and three in the other.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
How do you keep winning, Mo? I mean, what's the
secret sauce here?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
I have this, I talk to this guy every Thursday.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I'm sure that's all it. That's all it. Uh, No,
you know, each week is a new week, Mo, so
you can't get comfortable at 6-0, just like you can't
give up if you're out there 2-4.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Well said, well said. All right, let's take a look
at some players who have what we'll call favorable roads ahead.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah, you know, we're six weeks into the season here,
and I think this is when the smart managers really
start looking beyond this week's matchup. I've got a few
players I've identified at the next six weeks looking at
who's got the easiest schedule's One for each position, primary position.
Let's start at running back the Jets. Brees Hall. The
Jets have the easiest schedule of any team for running
backs from week 7 to 12. That is a great opportunity.

(01:09):
And I know he's dealing with a quad injury. We'll
talk about his injury update in a minute. But I
think there's a lot of frustrated Hall managers in your league.
Now might be time to buy it low. I love
Malik Nabors at wide receiver. He exploded for 165 yards,
15 targets last week. The Giants have been feeding him
the football. They got a favorable wide receiver over the
next six weeks. It's the fifth or actually it's the

(01:29):
number one wide receiver schedule here. And it really just
gives him that legitimate upside. Obviously, a change of quarterback
with McCarthy coming in some fresh life. We'll see if
he can capitalize. So far, it's been pretty good for
my neighbors, whoever's throwing the football. And then finally, finally,
a quarterback, Kyler Murray, Minnesota, faces the fifth easiest schedule
over the next six weeks. He's hovering around that QB
12 to QB 15 range on my board this week,

(01:53):
but I do think he's a nice streaming target. He's
going to get better here as they get healthier and
an intriguing person to trade for if you need help
at quarterback.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
All right. Let's start with the quarterback when we take
a look at week seven injuries.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, I mean, we're all watching what's going on in
Baltimore with Lamar Jackson, whether you're a Bengal fan or
a fantasy manager with him or any other piece of
this offense. Some more promising news there. His return to
practice in a limited fashion again today. We'll see how
things go Friday. Looks like he's back, though, or at
least trending in the right direction. Baker Mayfield also trending

(02:29):
in the right direction. He's expected to return here in
week seven versus the Panthers after being out a few
weeks with his thumb injury. We'll see how that goes.
At running back, we'll start with the good news. Saquon Barkley,
limited practice here. They play on Monday night, but all
signs are pointing towards the Eagles getting their running back
back from his hamstring injury. I mentioned Brees Hall at
the top as a trade for a candidate. For the

(02:49):
first time since entering that quad, he returned to the
practice field today. All eyes on him on Friday. The
Jets and me on a couple of my teams could
use him back in the lineup. Some running backs out
of the lineup this week. Jeremiah Love, the rookie. It's
not looking good for him. CBS is recording he is
not expected to play this week. So it will be
Tyler Algier and Bam Knight in that Cardinals backfield. Kyle Menungai,

(03:12):
he is not expected to play in tonight's awesome Thursday
fantasy matchup of the Bears and the Patriots. So Roshan
Johnson will back up DeAndre Swift. Some good returns on
running backs. Jordan Mason coming off the IR here soon
in that Vikings backfield with that thumb issue. Hasn't been
finalized yet, but it could happen this week. And Zach
Charbonnet has been activated from injured reserve. for Seattle and

(03:34):
will slowly start to work his way in the backfield there.
We know at receiver, the issues are big, but let's
just name a few here. Devontae Adams out six to
10 weeks with a hamstring issue there that should lead
to more targets. I don't know where they're going to go.
Maybe Puka gets 30 targets a game, but definitely some opportunities.
Mike Evans with an Achilles issue. I don't know what

(03:55):
they're going to do here. I'm getting worried if he
can hold up for the season. It's week to week
right now. Rashi Rice still hasn't practiced for the Chiefs.
He injured the hamstring before the week five by. Here
we are in week seven. He hasn't seen the practice build.
They didn't put him on IR. So maybe it means
he's getting closer, but I don't think we're going to
see him this week. And it's looking pretty bleak for
Amika Ukabuka with his concussion. Did not practice again today.

(04:17):
And a couple tight ends that still haven't practiced this week.
Tyler Warren with a groin injury. he's looking like he's
going to miss it again this week for Indianapolis and
his NF or AFC South fellow tight end there, Dalton
Schultz with the quad also trending towards missing this week
for the Texans as they welcome the Giants.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Dan Klaskens, Fantistics Insider Football on SiriusXM Fantasy and InsiderFootball.com.
Give me your week seven studs, duds, and sleepers.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Yeah, let's start with them studs. I've got a couple
of good ones here. Mo quarterback, Jordan love green Bay's
at Detroit and the Packers and lions carry the highest
projected total of week seven at 53 and a half points.
This has the makings of a fantasy friendly shootout. Matthew Goldman,
Christian Watson are really giving him some firepower. I like
his chances to finish as a top three or five
quarterback this week. Worst case. I also got Drake London

(05:09):
as a stud Atlanta's at San Francisco. The targets have
been getting consistent for London. even more impressive. He's delivering
some strong fantasy production. He's doing without even scoring touchdowns.
So that's what I'd like to see. And then on
the dud side, I mean, as much as I hate
to say it from fantasy, Chase Brown's a bit of
a dud here. He hasn't really consistently delivered the rushing production.

(05:29):
We've talked a lot about the usage. I think Brown's
been great. I mean, he's been good for the Bengals.
I do think that the offense hasn't got going here.
But the reality of it is, is for people that
drafted him as a top 10 running back, he hasn't
lived up to it. Right now, I view him more
as a low-end RB2. He's a guy I got outside
the top 20 this week. I don't think it's going
to necessarily ready itself and fix itself in this matchup.

(05:52):
Dak Prescott, the quarterback here, is another guy not passing
the eyeball test. Philadelphia, they're toast on offense with all
the injuries, but their defense has been tough, and it's
been a challenging road test for Dak throughout his career.
He's still a viable starter in deeper leagues, but he's
outside my top 12 and a guy that I'm sitting
versus the Eagles, and I'll leave the listeners with a
couple sleepers. One tonight, Demario Douglas, the wide receiver for

(06:14):
the Patriots, seven grabs, 86 yards, and a tutty last week.
With Romeo Dobbs on injured reserve, Matt Collins still out.
I think he's a sneaky wide receiver three or flex
play tonight. And Michael Mayer, got to give some hometown
love to our Covecath grad. He's having a breakout campaign.
It continued last week. Seven catches, 95 yards on nine targets.

(06:35):
The bigger development, nearly 70% route participation. If that continues,
he's going to be a top 12 tight end. And
that's pretty good considering his teammate Brock Bowers is tight
end one.
