Speaker 1 (00:00):
Diego Vilaria is with us the twenty seventeen MLS MVP
twenty fifteen MLS Cup MVP Match Analyst Spanish match analysts
for MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. The Eastern Conference
Semifinal is Sunday. FC Cincinnati hosting Lionel Messi and Miami
and Diego kind enough to join us and talk about

(00:21):
it. It's awesome to have you, Diego. How are you with me?
Do you hear me? Okay?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yes, all right, there you go.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
No, you sound great. I appreciate you joining us. We're
stoked for Sunday. Let's talk about round one. FC Cincinnati
survives against Columbus. What did you learn about Pat Newton's
team during that series?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yes, you know, he showed since he show a lot
of character. Because Columbus played really well in the series.
I think, you know, after that second game, we all
thought about the momentum Columbo got after scoring four goals
and Cincinnati didn't look well, most likely the first thirty
minutes until they got down a man. But a third

(01:08):
game it was going to be very important, most likely
at home with the people, and you know, they figured
out the way to turn around a difficult result. So
that it's a big show of character that a team
that is looking for getting a championship, and that's the
most important for me in terms of the first round.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
What I think of all time great Portland Timbers, You're
at the top of the list, Evander might be right
behind you. What has it been like watching him this season?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Well, you know, Ivander is those is the kind of
player that you always enjoy watch that he can make
a play when the game is not the best and
and because of his ability, because of his diction of
the game, it's been a pleasure to to have the
chance to watch him live with some broadcast in the game.

(01:57):
Obviously here important the same, but it's that kind of player,
so it's very enjoyable. I think he motivates in a
different way when uh in Miami comes and face Cincinnati.
So I'm really excited to see him in this stage,
uh In in the semi conference, semi final of the conference.

(02:19):
So I think it's you know, it's been a pleasure.
I I love to have those kind of players in
MLS and uh and it's been it's been so fun
to watch him play.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
In a normal year, a Vander might be m v
P but there's a guy named Messi that that claims
that honor. If you're pat Noon, and it's about more
than just him. When Miami comes to town, you've got
a long list of things that you have to make
sure don't happen in this match on Sunday. What's on
that list?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
But don't happen in for Cincinnati?

Speaker 1 (02:50):
For yeah, what what can't you let Miami do?

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Well? As you say, Messy, you know, it's it's difficult
to prepare something against Messy, right. I think Cincinnati gotta
be focused on on the doing their job, on being effected. Right.
I think have great strikers and plass the banda as
you say for me is you know, Ambi pee level.

(03:16):
But it's it's what you can't allow, uh, against Miami.
It's having those moments where you allow thee, the full,
the whole team to be up in the field and
comfortable with the ball. Right. Sometimes you always get deeper
in the field, and obviously Miami because of the way
they possess the ball, they take advantage but of the

(03:38):
possession and the position on the field. But if they're
getting there, Cincinnati cannot allow Miami to be comfortable with
the ball, you know what I mean, Like against Nashville. Uh,
as soon as Miami gets a good position in the field,
higher in the field, Uh, they get comfortable. And and
that's an issue, that's a big issue. Uh if Cincinnati,

(04:02):
if that ever happens in the first in the game,
that is one game elimination. And Miami gets higher on
the field, you can allow them to be comfortable because
you already gets in the ball and you know from
everywhere he can assist, he can assist someone. And same
theme for messy and same theme for busquets. So I
think that's something that gotta be on the some Cincinnatio

(04:24):
and not doing stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
It's uh, it's gonna be an unbelievable atmosphere. You've got
a ton of star power. Lots on the line. Sunday
at five o'clock Apple TV MLS season past. Yeah, going
honor to talk to you man, Thanks so much, thank you,
but

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
