Crazy First Date: "I Choked On A Chicken McNugget!"

Regina called in to reveal that on her "Crazy First Date", she choked on a Chicken McNugget minutes after she met the guy.

It's Cobby and Gradine's Crazy First Date Heavy. We have
Regina on the phone. Good morning, Regina. When did your
crazy first date happen?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Back in nineteen eighty five, we were in high school
and we were set up by our mutual friends, and
obviously it was a blind date. And I had asked
my friend what are you doing for Fourth of July
weekends and she's like, oh, nothing much. So she's like, well,
we're gonna go down to the beach and then she
knew the guy and I was like okay. So she
set us up and we were going down to belmore

(00:33):
So we had dinner beforehand. We went to McDonald's and
somebody said something funny. I started choking on a chicken McNugget. Oh,
and they're like, they like, what do we do? So
they started patting me on the back.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
And so you met him at a McDonald's, Like, that
was your first sighting of him?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
That was our first date?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
You almost died.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
It was a mutual friend, yeah, basically, and then they
I passed the chicken mc nugget. We went down to
the beach and saw the fire works and everything because
it was what's the July weekends?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Did he actually do the one? Was he the one
that saved you from joking? Or is it another friend
that helped you?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Honestly, I don't know because somebody patted me on the
back end. Can we see who it was?

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Were you like really embarrassed?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Did you think like this is it? Of course I
was like, oh my god, this is my first day.
This is it. He's not gonna want to see me again,
you know. But you know it worked out.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Did you guys state each other exclusively right after that?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Well? Yes, we were high school sweetheartsh.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Okay, wow, yes, Well we have something for you for
sharing your story. Are you a big New Kids on
the Block fan?

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yes? I went to see their concept over the summer.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
What do you know, because Joey McIntyre is doing a show.
He's at Irving Plaza and that's next month, right, Christine
or no, April?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
