Speaker 2 (00:04):
Crazy first Dates Light FM. It's Kubby and producer Kristen
with me on this one, and we're talking to Greg. Now, Greg,
you apparently went on a crazy first date. When did
this happen and how did you meet this particular person?

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Okay, so this happened like three or four months ago.
I met her. Her name is Jenny. We worked at
the same company together. She worked in the HR department.
I work in the finance department. So we didn't see
each other much, but whenever we did see each other,
you know, it's like there was like this little spark.
So one day we were both working late and I
got the courage where I was like, Hey, I know
this really awesome Mexican place. It serves like the best

(00:40):
caseo in town. Do you want to go with me?
She said yes, So we planned for a Saturday pickup
because I was like, hey, I'll pick you up, so
show our house. We've been texting. I knock on the door.
She answers, and she's like, oh crap, I forgot that
we had a date today. So she completely forgot about
our date first of all, So I was like okay,
trying whatever, Like when can you be ready? She's like,
give me like thirty minutes. An hour later, she's finally ready.

(01:02):
He's like, I'm so sorry. Conversations were really weird too.
I felt like she was really stand offish. We arrive
at the restaurant. I'm a little annoyed because I realized
that our reservations have been canceled and we can't get in.
So I go, okay, all right, well there's this like
really nice sushi place, like down the road. Do you
want to go there? She says yes. We go to
the sushi place. We're here, we're hanging out. All of

(01:24):
a sudden, she's not ordering anything, and I'm like, hey,
is everything okay? And she's like, well, I don't really
like sushi. I go, well, why did you say yes
to coming here? We don't like sushi? And she gets
really quiet, she's not talking, and then the worst thing happened.
Her ex boyfriend walks in, Oh my gosh with her girlfriend,
and she starts crying at the table. And eventually, after

(01:45):
like three or four minutes, I'm like, what's going on.
She's like, that's my ex boyfriend, and then she just
gets up and she just runs out the door.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
So I like, go I pay for the bill. I
like try to call her, I try to text her.
She's not answering me. I'm kind of done for the
rest of them. I'm like, all right, whatever, I go home.
I'm like, that was super weird. I'm not going to
sit there and talk about it anymore. I show up
to work on Tuesday because that Monday was a Memorial
Day and find out that she quits and I haven't

(02:14):
heard from her since.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I got like really paranoid about it. But eventually, after
like a week or two, I was like, hey, like
why did she leave? And everyone's like, I don't know.
She just sent an email on Monday morning that she
said that she was effectively leaving that day and wasn't
coming back to work. Wow.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I see, I would actually, I'd be kind of nervous,
to be honest with you, I'd google her name not
in the news or something.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I don't know. It was. The whole thing was weird,
and I haven't heard from her since. Actually I sent
her like one or two text mensages a couple of
weeks ago where I was like, hey, I hope everything's
going well with you, like stucks that you quit without
saying goodbye and ghosted nothing nothing back.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Well, Greg, we have a surprise for you online. Nine
right now is no, I'm kidding, she's not here. That'd
be cool though, if we had that.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Oh my god, for a minute there I got up.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Hey, thank you for sharing your story and the best
