Speaker 1 (00:00):
Friday the thirteenth, jot.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Water, six Boy seven, Light of Them, Covey and Nita,
and for Christine producer Kristen.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Here we are.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
If you're one of those people that's scared a Friday
the thirteenth, here's the good news. We're not gonna have
another one until twenty twenty five. This is the only
Friday the thirteenth of the year. I'm sorry, twenty twenty six,
there's only one Friday the thirteenth, and twenty twenty five,
the year we're.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
In now, then won't be another on until next year. Okay,
I think there's.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Like three I think there's three years, so.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Triple up, yeah, right, right right, February, March, and November. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
And I gotta tell you, you know, I'm reading a
fact here about eight percent of the American population, which
sounds like a low number, but eight percent of the
American population actually has anxiety today, like they have a
tough time all day.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah. Well, it says millions of dollars in business are
lost because people stay home because they're afraid of doing things.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Yep, huh, I know.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Don't step on a crack, don't break your mama's back. Yeah,
don't open an umbrella inside that house. I don't know
they say that, they do say that. I think all
year long that could be a superstition.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Yeah, Friday, I've done it. I'm still here.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Funny story. I'm putting nail me to bed last night,
and we did our two books and then we were
talking about you know today.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah, it was last night, and I said, tomorrow's Friday.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Oh, it's Friday the thirteenth. And a couple of months
ago she was inquiring about what Friday the thirteenth is
all about, and she heard from school it's a scary day.
So I jarred her memory that tomorrow is actually a
Friday the thirteenth. Of course I'm talking last night. Yeah,
and she went, what tomorrow's Friday the thirteenth? Do I
need to stay inside all day? What's gonna happen tomorrow?

(01:38):
So she's like I had to talk her down, Like
I had to ramp back. I had to roll it back.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Why did you bring that up?

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I had to escalate the situation.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Yeah, because her eyes lit up because I was like,
you know, I was just trying to be casual. Tomorrow's Friday. Oh,
and it's Friday the thirteenth, and she just harped on it,
and I had to say, no, it's just a regular day.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
So she's five. Scary things are scary when you're five.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah, maybe her phobia starts today.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Because of me also to fail.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Right before bed.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
One of the last things I said, we finished our books,
I kissed her good night, and I said tomorrow's Friday,
and then I went the afterthought, Friday the thirteenth.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
But anyway, what else do we have here that are
fun facts?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
It is called the actual name Friday the thirteenth, scientifically
is I'm going to try it. Pariskev deca tree aphobia.
Periskevy deca tree aphobia.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
That's impressive. That's impressive.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
That's what it means, Friday the thirteenth.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
And finally, they say the superstition really gained major traction
after the movie Friday the Thirteenth in nineteen eighty. Sure,
so that makes sense, you know, because I didn't think
much of Friday the thirteenth in the seventies. But then again,
I was only like nine.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Your mom didn't scare you, No, no.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Maybe the movie did help. All right, Well, we wish
you the best of luck. Everybody good luck. You got
till midnight tonight to make it.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Oh dear
