Speaker 1 (00:00):
Seven fifty two on News Radio seven forty k t H.
Dan Crenshaw, Congressman of course, joining us live. Dan, first
of all, welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
That's when it starts. Hey, thanks for having me.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Yeah, thanks for coming on. So, before we get into
your plan for Mexican drug cartels, which is very interesting,
I wanted to ask you about your thoughts on the
what Trump did with the attack of nuclear program and
the ceasefire and having issues right now. What are your
thoughts about everything that's going on there with Israel and Iran.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Well, the President's had to make some decisions that very
few presidents have had to make on the last century,
certainly one of the more difficult, especially using weaponry that
we rarely use. You know, he was prevented with a
problem that was really not of what not of America
is making. The problem, of course, being that Iran has

(00:57):
continued to very havoc within the region and obviously sought
to to to to bring their nuclear programs to the
point of weaponization. Why else did you build such a
strengthened hunkered down below below the ground bunker to uh
to enrich uranium way past civilian uses, and of course

(01:18):
they've got their blistic missile program. So you add all
of these things together. Israel takes the initiative and and
and there's a lot of this has to do with
opportunity and timing and the fact that that so many
of Iranian proxies like Hezbollah, who these moss are weakened
and no longer have a gun to Israel's head. They
took this as the moment of opportunity to to really

(01:39):
wipe off an existential threat to them. And then President
Trump has forced the decision to make do you do?
You do you take that final step to take on
these very difficult to penetrate bunkers where most of the
weaponized her or potential to be weaponized enrich uranium is
and uh, and he did so, and everyone thought it
was gonna be World War three. Of course, those are

(02:01):
the same voices that always claimed such a foolish thing.
They've been claiming that, for instance, since the Rush of
Ukraine war started over three years ago. And every single
morning I wake up and I realized they're wrong, and
everyone should realize that, and really, really we should have
set a timer every single day those people, Tucker Carlton
is wrong again. And again and again and again and
so and so President President Trump had had a very

(02:23):
difficult decision just not only because of the just the
difficulty of the geopolitics that have described, but because of
the politics at home, you know, and and the people
who were supposedly his friends and allies who turned on
him didn't didn't trust him. And and I commend him
greatly for for for taking host to bold stamps.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Now, Conston Crenshaw wanted to ask you about your your
plan to train and work with the Mexican officials and
military folk or whatnot with the the the FBI CIA
strengthening their law enforcement intelligence networks. Can we trust Mexico

(03:04):
to do this? And are they willing to literally work
with us to take on the cartels and the narcos.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
The trust is a complicated saying with Mexico, you can
trust them more than ever before. I know that. Also,
it's not necessarily about us being able to trust them.
We don't have a choice. There's a terrorist insurgency right
at our border. So you know, we couldn't trust the
Iraqis either. We couldn't Truck. I couldn't trust the Afghans

(03:32):
I was working with and fighting alongside with in Afghanistan.
I couldn't fully trust them, but that's the partner you have.
And by the way, I don't want to give bear
Afghanist to Mexicans. That's not even close. This particular Mexican
government since my mom, Souk power has got has put
in jail well over twenty thousand criminals. Now their judicial

(03:57):
system is terrible. That's what you can't trust. And that's
what we really need to help fix. And that don't
say twenty years, but we need to start. But they're military,
and the guy in charge of their national security, a
guy named Omar Hafush, is the Secretary of Interior, but
he really is the right hand man for the president
when it comes to going after the cartels. They are

(04:19):
going after them like they never have before. They're willing
to partner with us like they never have before, maybe
least since they call their own days. So there's a
lot of good news ahead. So you have two major
seismic shifts that necessitate congressional action. One, of course it's
President Trump, He's making this a priority. Two is President

(04:41):
of Timebam, she is making this a priority. What is
lacking is I think some cohesion of strategy, which is
what I'm trying to create and trying to identify the
problem correctly as a counterinsurgency problem, which necessitates a counterinsurgency strategy,
which means a whole government's approach, and we should not
and we should be very clear about what that means.
It is long term, it requires a lot of work,

(05:05):
and and it does require some level of trust, and
there's ways to do that with the Mexican With the
Mexican Mexican that we do work with, we already do
work with a lot of them. We we vet very
high level of units that go on these operations work
with them. So there's there's a lot to be done,
but a lot of good news ahead.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
I think Congerson Crunschall, we appreciate your time, wish we
had more. Thank you very much for joining us today
