There are less cancelations this morning than we've seen out
of Bush and Hobby lately. Thirty two at the Big Airport,
twenty one at Hobby. There were eleven hundred and thirty
two cancelations nationwide so far today, as opposed to fourteen
hundred and twenty one yesterday. Now that the Dems have
lost the shutdown fight, they're bringing back, YEP, the Epstein

law enforcement. At the state level, the Land Office will
serve a land looking for tunnels used by the cartels
to sneak across the border.

KTRH Chuckingham joins Houston's Morning News at seven twenty. Housing
prices across the US have been rising for years. A
big reason why is immigration, both legal and illegal.

It is a basic supply and demand issue. Immigration does
increase the cost of housing, both in terms of rents
and also the price of houses to buy.

Jason rich Wine, with a Center for Immigration Studies, says
mass migration has caused prices to rise in the cities
that these immigrants settling and the surrounding areas as well.
So five according to new Palling, Latino voters are sticking
with Trump despite what the mainstream media tells you.

The survey found that four out of five Texas Latinos
who voted for President Trump say they would vote for
him again if given a do over. Experts say that's
because he's following through with this campaign promises like closing
the borders a lot of Hispanic voters.

to vote for Trump.

abiding migrants who are brought across.

to stop these groups, and many of them are funded
by our own tax dollars, so we're funding our own demands,
so we have to stop this unlawful cheating.

The Open Borders group was caught standing outside of the
DMV instructing people how to register to vote illegally five
h six looking at your money. Futures are flat across
the board. Following the end of the shutdown. The now

this season. That's following a Visa MasterCard settlement giving merchants

expert by a stretch of the imagination, although I would
like to get my hands on one. Maybe maybe we
have a coin expert who listens to our program. Here
here's my question. You could use the talkback feature. If

button there, get the thirty seconds, who you are, where
you're calling from, what makes you a coin expert, and
your thoughts on what or not the end of minting
pennies makes all pennies more valuable. The reason why we
stop making the penny is because it costs more to
make the penny than the penny's worth. But to a
coin collector, I'm wondering, especially those that collect pennies, does

this knock the value up in all pennies or or not?
Because there are billions of pennies out there, it's just
that McDonald's doesn't seem to have any of them. Some
of these places that are rounding up or rounding down
now they don't seem to have any pennies, but there's
still plenty of pennies out there, mainly in jars sitting
on nightstands in bedrooms. That's where all my pennies are

a lot of quarters in there too, But should hang
on to those pennies? Are those pennies can be worth
moor in the years they had. I guess it depends
if this is a permanent shutdown, because it's not necessarily
permanent shutdown. I suppose whoever's next after President Trump could
change the mind about the penny and start minting the
penny again, But for now it's the last penny ever made.
The penny, by the way, has been minted in Philadelphia

since seventeen ninety three. In seventeen ninety three, they were
made of one hundred percent copper. Since nineteen eighty two,
pennies have been made of copper plated zinc, which is
actually ninety seven point five percent zinc and just two
point five percent copper, so they're really not made with
any real precious metals. As they said, billions of pennies
still in circulation. They remain legal tender, but once will

no longer be made some businesses may choose not to
accept the penny any further, and we'll start rounding up
and rounding down. And here's the part that scares people
a little bit. And I get this for those of
us who are not ready for a cashless society, is
getting rid of the penny. The next step towards a
cashless society where we no longer trade dollars and cents,

but we do everything in a digital format. I mean
we do that now to a certain extent. Those of
us who do electronic banking, we do that, pay our
bills that way, we get our paychecks that way. There's
no actual cash that changes hands. But are you worried
about the end of cash? You can comment on that

trash well you could do a contract for the same
probably the same amount of money and get that. Every week,
you know you could get all three of them.

re bay and that brings it back down to around
twenty five dollars, a time but there's. No market so
the recycling facilities hang on to this garbage as long as.
They can when they need, more room they pick up
the recycled trash and they take it over to the
dump and charge us another twenty.
