Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, we have a listener blower on the phone right now.
Her name is Vanessa Savage. She used to work at
Texas Children's Hospital. She does it anymore. She got fired
because she has made the allegation and the FEDS are
backing it up with the DOJ investigation that the hospital
was unlawfully billing the state Medicaid program for child gender modification,
(00:23):
so using taxpayer dollars or attempting to use taxpayer dollars
do child gender modification, which they're no longer supposed to
be doing. Vanessa, welcome to our show. Thank you for
joining us. We sure do appreciate it. How long did
you work at Texas Childon's Hospital?
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, thank you so much for having me. I worked
at Texas Children's Hospital for the last six years, and
I just want to correct the record. It's the Health
and Human Services Office for Civil Rights. They have launched
an investigation into Texas Children's Hospital for terminating my employment
as a nurse because I was exercising my federally protected
(01:02):
rights of conscience when I came forward to reveal how
first I came forward to reveal how the hospital was
harming children irreversibly in their gender program, and then a
year later I came forward publicly as a whistleblower to
reveal what you just mentioned, that the hospital was not
only providing these services to kids, but also using taxpayer
(01:27):
dollars to do it. And so I just first thank you,
because you know, back when I was fired last August,
I think you guys had me on and I shared
my story then and today I am so relieved and
so happy to kind of have this next step very
clearly in writing.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
So you've got the federal government helping you in the
procurement of getting your job back, or do you want
your job back? At this point? Would you want to
go back to work there?
Speaker 2 (01:54):
No, absolutely not. But regardless, you know, this is a
step in the right direction, not just for me, but
for whistleblowers throughout the country.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Well, it's a chance to have yourself vindicated. It's also
a chance for you to rightfully be paid for the
you know, for being fired illegally, because whistleblowers, you know,
the act of whistleblowing is not supposed to be a
fireable offense. And I think the good news, I you know,
I'll kind of jump jump the gun here with the
idea that the Department of Justice make it involved. But
(02:28):
if it turns out that they were fraudulently billing and
and the taxpayers were paying for something they shouldn't have
had to pay for, my guess is at some point
the DJ probably will get involved.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well I certainly hope so. And look, it's not just
about me, because what the what AHHS effectively did when
they released this this statement two days ago was they've
launched a new online portal where whistleblowers can submit a
tip or complaint in regarding specifically the chemical and surgical
mutilation of children. So instead, essentially, we have a government
(03:03):
and an administration who is now recognizing the valuable contributions
that whistleblowers bring to the table. And you know, I
think you remember, like me that the previous administration waged
war and prosecuted people who were just trying to push
back against the harm happening to kids and the lives.
(03:24):
And now we have government agencies who are wielding their
resources and their power to reward righteousness ultimately and to
punish lawlessness. And so we're seeing a huge change here
and I couldn't be more thrilled.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
It sounds like the very least Texas Told's Hospital got
very used to the previous administration looking the other way
and knew that they would not be prosecuted or even
questioned about what it was that they were doing. What
they have failed to realize, though, is that that administration
is no longer power and therefore go to at some
point in time, all this catches up with you.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Right, And you know, I always say that sunlight is
the best at disinfectant. And now we have an administration
that's just enforcing fteral law. It's very it's very basic
where they're just enforcing the laws currently on the books.
They're saying, you know, whistleblowers are valuable, and we need
(04:22):
to incentivize those people. We need to not retaliate against
those people.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
All right, But that's the well continued. Good luck with
your case. I hope it turns out exactly the way
you want it to, and thank you for what you've done.
That is whistleblower in Texas Old's Hospital. Whistle blower, But
that's a savage
