Speaker 1 (00:00):
Cam you said a thousand yards at the start of
the season. You did it with a game to spare
plus a bowl game. I guess that's an okay place
to start, you know, a thousand yards on the season,
but at helped pick up win number eight of the
year for the group.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I think overall, you know, I just have that mentality
of when I want to get something, I'm going to
try and get the job done. You know. Overall, like
I said, the job's not finished though, man, I'm focused
on getting back to playing a FAU and us winning
hopefully a bowl game and stuff like that, one game
at a time.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
In my eyes, you guys, only you didn't have that
many cracks at it in the first half twenty total plays.
You had the ball for about five minutes totally in
that first half. So as an offense, what were you
talking about at halftime to come out and do what
you did in a second?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
You know, like Couch Moore said, we just got to
keep chopping away and stay poised. Man. You know, like
Air Force, we know what type of game it was
going to be coming into here. We knew they were
going to try and hold the ball. But overall, we
just had to keep going. You know it was going
to be we had to take we had to take
care of the football and also look at every possession

(01:07):
as we have to score here.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
So gain Kim Edwards with us here in the locker room.
It's senior day. You were honored before. You're a kid
from Norwalk. Take us through the emotions of that and
then having to put those aside to get ready for
sixty minutes of football.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
You know, I just you know, I was a little
like yo, this might this might be my last game
of playing at the Rent. You know, I just just
trying to put on for the state of Connecticut and
and make my family proud man, and taking one day
at a time. And obviously, you know, I lost my
grandmother in twenty twenty. You know, I'm just I know

(01:42):
she's looking down at me and she's happy right now.
So I'm just trying to do it for her and
for my family. Man, that's the most important thing for me.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
For a team that you know is going up against
a team like Air Force. You talked about knowing that
you need to score because they're going to move the football.
Is there an urgency that you guys are feeling in
that moment or is there a sense of calm in
trying to accomplish that?

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Overall us as an offense, we try and stay calm
and taking one play at a time, man, you know,
just stay in the moment. Every play like how we
see it in the offensive room, every play is the play.
So you know, we try and taking one play at
a time and see what happens.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
You know, twenty carries in the second half, one hundred
and fifty yards in the second half, couple of touchdowns today.
Congrats on what may be maybe the final game you
play at the rent.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Appreciate it, man. I'm just overall, you know, shout out
to my guys up front. Man. I got it done
with them guys, so I appreciate them. Man, Thank you,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
