Duke won the toss, they deferred, Yukon got the ball first.
Joe Finnano got sacked of the game's second play. Huskies
went three and out. Then Duke made real quick work
on their opening drive. Kaishan Brown had a fifteen yard
punt return from the forty five. Brown on a wide
receiver screen for twenty five yards. On the opening play,

Nate Shepherd went seventeen on the ground of the Yukon thirteen.
Lima Lett junior left the game on the left shoulder injury,
and it didn't get any better for the Huskies.

a great catch on that hole to get the snap
down and give Freeman the field goal for a ten
to seven lead. Duke's first punt resulted in a Yukon
getting pinned down at their old one. With four forty
eight left in the first Ray Melo Murphy on a
slant for twelve quarterback draw twenty six yards for Finano
to the thirty seven. Another cross to Murphy and the

Huskies got to the twenty two, but a snap in
fraction by wes Ho backed them up five to the
twenty seven, six yards on the ground for Edwards, followed
by a Duke twelve man on the field call, so
it was third and five from the sixteen Caleb Weaver
sack Joe Finnano. Chris Freeman tried a forty two yard
field goal, but he missed it, so we stayed as

of the Huskies into the second quarter. After two Anderson

Murphy for eight more on third down into the Duke
twenty five second third down conversion by Edwards on a
third and short to the twelve, and then two plays
later from the four, a record setter for Scaler Bell

And one nano slant open man touchdown Bell, How does
he do it? And a flag goes down? Might be
an excessive celebration, I don't know. But Bell made a
great catch and ball was thrown behind him and he was
honest butt when he made the catch.

Yes, it was an excessive celebration penalty on Bell. Don't
know how, but the catch he gives him the single
season record for receivers touchdowns in a season, previously held
by Carl Bond. The twelfth of the season caps a
twelve play fifty eight yard drive in six twenty one
Yukon lit seventeen to fourteen. And there was a lot
of creativity in that drive. Now, after that, a short

kickoff the Huskies Thill got to stop at the Yukon
forty three. Duke got it back at the twenty with
one forty seven left, three timeouts remaining, but Darien Mensa
made a poor decision for the Blue Devils.
