Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, we got Silas Demery down there on the
court with us. Silas, nice work today, they guys said it.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Yeah, the guys got out run.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
They played some defense. I think that's what coach wanted
as much as anything in the last couple of days.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Right, Yes, yes, that of us definitely. Man, that's been
the biggest thing about just getting stop to you know,
not leaving each other on iliands.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Now.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I think on on Monday night we left a lot
of each other on olives. But I think the past
two days we were just working on being each other,
having each other's backs, and we was getting out there defensively.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
The past couple of days, Silas you up triggered the
fast break thirty five eight fast break points. Talk about
how effective Yukon's fast break is and what made it
so effective.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, I just feel like we want to push pace.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Man.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
If me and if the guards and I can get
out and open floor and you know, call as at
least amount of players as we can and just give
as many painters as we can, I think we can
be successful and we can have a great year.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Man.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I think when we get the pain and get ak
and solo on guys like that open threes, you know,
that opens up everything.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
And what about playing with terrorist free junior tonight. I
mean we hadn't seen him much. You've seen him in
practice a little bit, but what an impact a guy
like that has.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yeah, man, I mean he's a force.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
I think he's our enforcer. You know, he's our defensive
acor heat. He's one of our vocal leaders. And I
think him just being back on the floor with us,
you know, just bringing that presence, I think he uplifted
us and it just brought another gear for us.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Sala's sure one of the two tramps fer guards for Yukon,
Malachi Smith the other. You got center the bench with
two finals early on, said a couple of words about
with Malachi brought. He scored nine straight Yukon points run
after that. That's pretty good one two punch.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Yeah, sir, it's most definitely. I man, me and Alchi
have did a great relationship, you know, with coach and
the players. I think us just coming in as two
new point guards, you know, we have to learn the
system fast, and I think when I come out the game,
I have enough trust in him and the coaches have
enough trust on him. Knowing that there's going to be
no drop off, you know, us being able to play
in there at the same time. I think that gives
both of us, you know, you know, you got two
point guards in that same time, so either one of
us can make players for one another. And like I said,

(01:51):
he came in and had nine straight points. Man Malachi
is a veteran guard and he's ready for the moment.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
All right, sounds one final thing for me. You look
more comfortable the court today. You've got to the basket
fare when you wanted to. Is that something you've been
thinking about and trying to work on.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Yeah, most definitely. I think the coach is just telling me, Man,
get downhill as much as possible, you know, try to
play off script. I think what we call list amount
of plays, you know, with me getting into paying I
think I'm a big guard, so once I get in there,
I can make the right player in the right read
and that that opens up everything for us. You know,
we just call the least amount of players as we can.
You know, we can make you know, we can play
off each other, you know, getting down here, Like like
I said, just trying to get more comfortable. I think
this is the game where I just I just seen

(02:28):
it and just played free, didn't think about it too much.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
That's good and we love what we saw. Thank you,
congratulations sir.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Guys all right, silent stemmery

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
