huge branch hanging over. So I got about ninety five
to one hundred yards and I'm blind to the pin,
and I got to hit just a little punch, and

I don't have to hit a low punch. I just
can't hit the ball up in the air, It'll hit
that branch. I then like I do I guess I
thought I was Joe Mauer. I did the Joe mar quickswing.
I missed the ball, missed it completely. You've got to

so I didn't want to get behind them, so I
just I'll just drive out to ten and play from there. Well,
I play two overs and then I go to one
because there was only twenty people on the t sheetsday.
Why would people be out there plane day? Actually, right now,
it's not bad at all. It's almost fifty degrees. It's gorgeous.
There's barely any wind. It's gorgeous out there. And then

I go and I shoot three over on the back
and I almost let it get away. I get to nine.
You know, the ninety degree dog leg right, perfect drive.
Then I hang on to the hybrid and I watch
it kick right up into the mountains. I got to
look for it for like four or five minutes.

I find it.

I got one forty eight to a back right pin. No,
it's more of a middle, more of a middle pin.
Now I'm in the thick ruff and I have to go
over that water, and I'm thinking, and you know what
tend to me if it's sort of like you how
you used to feel about playing the Blackhawks. My teeth
are chattering cause I'm like, well, yeah, I mean, I

it out of the thick rough on an uphill side.

middle of fairway, hit a sand wedge to about thirty feet,
and just two putted for my boaty. So I end
the year on a great note. This will be the
very first best of that. By the way, you have
a year responsible to that, or maybe Nordal would like
to do it, because you know how Nordal puts together.

So again it's not as though they're sitting on top
of the AFC North, but starting to get their mojo

So the only team they're really a battle in there

scored to regain the lead. So twice within you know,
the next ten to twenty seconds, what you had just

accomplished was immediately evaporated.

Combination of some defensive issues. You know, two of the
goals Carolina had last night were you know, one is
basically like a one on four where the forwards are
doing very little to slow them through the neutral zone,
and then your defensemen, expecting your forwards to slow them
in the nuture zone are kind of get caught flat footed.

And then they had a second goal too on the
power play when which was basically like a one on
three just on the rush. Wild has all the numbers
there and are just not making a play. And you know,
we also need to talk about the goaltending. You know,
when when Gustuson signed his contract extension, you kind of
asked me about him, like, Eh, I don't know how

to I don't know how to feel about him. He's
definitely had some good moments in his Wild run, and
I get it, you got a young guy behind him,
and you're not super confident off of the season he
had last year that he was going to be the guy.
But Gustuson has not been good this year and he
was shaky again last night one or two of those goals.

I'm sorry, and NHL goalie needs to stop. And I'm
not gonna act like he's got a great team in
front of him. I get there's there's other flaws. There's
other issues defensively. I mean, Brodein and Favor had an awful.
We're an awful mess on that first goal last night,
which Brodin loses the puck and then Favor turns it over.
So I'm not gonna act like there's perfection in front

of these goals.

He's got to make some saves every once in a while.
And you know, there was one that was kind of
a soft shot from the point, and sure, I'm sure
Favor gave you a quick screen for a little bit,
but you got to stop that. And the one on
the rush that he gave up, which was beyond the
top of the circle. NHL goalies need to stop that.
So at some point, not that Valstad's been great, but

the coaching staff so far in this season, it's almost
like they've been playing gustuson as if what we don't
want to rattle the cages with him. There hasn't been
a game where I don't he hasn't been polled in
the game, and he's had multiple chances where he could
be pulled in the middle of games just kind of

guys for a long time. He was supposed to be
a main stay on this club, and he had his moments.

You know, I was reading in Labelle's piece.

It says Miranda show great promise in his rookie season
of twenty twenty two, and he was called it from
Saint Paul.

Sixteen home runs to earn a spot in the starting
line for twenty twenty three, but shoulder surgery scrapped that
year before he rebounded at the start of the twenty

and that slump spilled into twenty twenty five, when he

to a great start when he was here, and he

had some injury problems. Several times he's been injury riddled.
He's been almost Byron Buxton, you know, two point zero,
and and then and then he he had two extended slumps.
If you remember this past year, it saying to me,
there was that list that the media published of longest

hitless streaks and twins history, and.

Lewis has got two of them.

He's in there twice, like oh for thirty and oh
for forty or whatever those numbers were. Those might be

but and I and you know, you don't give up
on Lewis for sure, but it just goes to show
you this was a guy that was we were really
going to count on and be a mainstay. And you know,
part of the reason the team didn't play as well.
They had that thirteen game winning streak and all seemed

to be right with the world again, and then they
went in the tank again and a lot of it
to do because they weren't getting any any helped from Lewis.
The one guy that seemed to be the constant was Buxton,
and they had a couple of the other young guys
but had their flashes.

Few games and then they wouldn't. And the Pigeon staff
was pretty good. But so my point.

going to get better. Well, they don't always get better,
and Miranda is proof positive, Lewis so far is proof positive.

Even if they do, the Twins might not pay to retainment. Well,
that's it. That's that's the problem. We should be very
excited about having Joe Ryan on our team and as
possible next year. Within two years he's gone, yeah, and
he's performing.

defending poll that pocket protectors. But the Twins do have
a lot of good prospects and have had a lot
of good prospects, and well, my issue is with the
team is that almost every one of them when they
get to the majors, has a huge setback in their development.
I think our last coaching staff did a terrible job
at keeping the development going once they reached the majors.
