Here we go. I got some random questions before we
get into Vikings and Bears. Sure this is for you
and Benjamin, because ben you you were teammates with a
couple of these fellows. Pro football semi finalists announced for
the Hall of Fame. The main Viking, of course, Jared

(02:49):
Allen is eligible again. I don't know if this is
his year. It probably should be at some point. Again,
we were talking about his name a day or two
ago with Harrison Smith. Everybody thinks Harrison Smith's a lot.
I'm like, well, look at how hard it is for
Jared Allen again. And Jared was a huge name and
big time personality. That's the opposite of what Harrison is. Right,
Harrison's got all the stats, but he's under the radar.
Jared's got all the stats but was in our face

(03:11):
because he was so much fun to watch. Do you
like Jared Allen's chances this year? Tom?

Speaker 6 (03:16):
You know, it's always hard because of the way that
votes get split. There's certain positions that are more difficult
than others. I'm biased on Jared just because I was
there you know, covering the team on a daily basis
for several years that he was part of the team.
And you know, I don't remember a whole lot of
pass rushers with a more dominant stretch. Yeah, prime JJ

(03:38):
Watt when he was, you know, the repeat defensive player
of the year. You know, obviously you've had, you know,
through the course of time, the Reggie Whites of the
world and whatnot. But you go back and you watch
Jared Allen, you know, circa two thousand and nine twenty
ten with the Vikings. There was one game in particular
was it was against the Buccaneers. Donald Penn was the

(03:58):
left tackle, and those two got into it after a
play and the next snap Jared just absolutely destroyed Donald Pen.
His helmet gets ripped off, he's bleeding down his nose,
but just absolutely blew him up. Like those are the
types of dominant plays that I think of in terms
of what's the best that I've ever seen from that position.

(04:18):
You know, the standard to me for Pro Football Hall
of Fame has always been were you ever the best
player at your position? And for how long? Jared Allen
had probably a two three year stretch there where he
was arguably the best pass rusher in the game. That
should give him a chance to get in. You know,
even on top of the raw numbers.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Ben your thoughts you lived at you were his teammate, well,
I mean not only from that standpoint, was he dominant Yet,
yes he was dominant.

Speaker 8 (04:45):
But if you were to talk numbers, everybody's always into
the numbers, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I mean, you can use stats to kind of manipulate anything.
But like if your compa is Jason Taylor, Jason Taylor,
great player, right, he played for almost fifty games less
than Jason Taylor, and he's only three and a half

(05:06):
sacks behind.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Him, it's a pretty good stat.

Speaker 8 (05:08):
So it's it's so you're using you're using numbers to
sort of like compare, but like when the comparison is
so wide, almost forty six specifically games less than Jason
Taylor in only three sacks or three and a half
sacks behind him, it's like if he's in I don't
think that Jason Taylor was like this generational Lawrence Taylor

(05:29):
type of player that But if you're going to look
at Jason Taylor and say, like, well.

Speaker 9 (05:33):
That guy, you know, he's he's in. Yeah, you know,
like what did Ran.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Allen had twenty two sacks in twenty eleven on one
of the worst Vikings teams in history, Like it's not
a team that had a lot of fast shresh opportunities. Yeah, yeah,
I think eight double digit sacks seasons. You know, yeah,
you put you put his numbers up against any But
you know, the arguments with Jared just like a lot
of it is going to be, well, okay, well what
did he do in the run game? You know? Was

(05:59):
he a one dimensional type player? There's always been this bias,
you know, against guys like Kevin Green too, where it's
like all he did was rested the passer. That's a
pretty important thing. So I think that Jared's time is coming.
Is it going to be this year? That's going to
depend on a lot of different things in terms of
the environment. In my mind, just again being there witnessing it,
watching him play in person several dozen times, I mean,

(06:20):
there'd be no question he's a Hall of Famer.

Speaker 8 (06:22):
So let me let me let me pad this stat
a little bit more. Let's let's project out so using
the same metric, if you're looking at a a perse,
you know, sacks per game. Outlook using those same numbers,
if he would have played as many games as Jason Taylor,
the forty six games he would have projected out to
one hundred and sixty three sacks would be which would

(06:43):
be third all time behind Bruce Smith, Reggie White, just
ahead of Kevin Green.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
So he was like a nurse time.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
I just looked it up. He was a first team
All Pro four times. He never won Defensive Player of
the Year, the first team All Pro four times. She
would say he was one of the one or two
best at his position for a four or five year stretch.
There you know, to me, again, that's that's above the
line for who we should be putting in. And that's
not you know, not taking away anything from some of
the other guys who have gotten in, but there have
been some names in recent years where I'm like, huh,

(07:13):
we're gonna make the case for like, I don't remember
that guy being the best in the game, Jared Allen
for a stretch there was the best till.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
All right, quickly, Ben and Tom, I just I'm gonna
go through about seven notable names. Give me the quick
yes or no, and then when we're done with the list.
You can circle back and maybe have a strong take
on one of the six or seven. Okay, Ben Tory Holt
yes or no?

Speaker 6 (07:34):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Oh wow, yeah, Okay, see both say yes. Antonio Gates, Yes,
that's that's a no brainer. How about Eli Manning, He's
a semi finalist. I don't know he'll get in. I
don't think I don't think he deserves in. I think
he'll get in, but I don't think you do.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
Eli was a borderline top ten quarterback for the bulk
of his career, top ten, you know, bord line. He
was like a Kirk Cousins style producer. Kirk probably had
better numbers through his career. Eli Manning never won a
playoff game, except for the eight playoff games he won
in two Super Bowl runs. It's one of the most

(08:13):
difficult calculus that you can have, where it's like, we
all remember, I mean those the biggest moments, right, That's
what we expect from the Hall of Fame caliber players,
is you know, they rise in those big moments, and
they had two remarkable runs, but they never all those
other years from what was it two thousand and four
through twenty twenty ish, somewhere around there, twenty twenty one

(08:34):
when he or twenty nineteen whatever it was from Daniel Jones.
You know they ended up coming in, you know, told
to make the you know, win playoff games twice like
That's there's nobody else with the resume like that. I
think he's a Hall of Famer just because two Super
Bowls for a starting quarterback generally gets you in the
Hall of Fame. But it's a really unique argument because
he didn't have the numbers, he didn't have the perpetual
All pros or the NFL MVPs. He just had two

(08:56):
amazing playoff runs and put a couple of bardies in
the case.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
One seems like a no brainer. But Anavinitary, Yes.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
There's not a lot of kickers, but Vinitary again, Plutch
moments unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Yeah, Steve Smith, Yes or no Ben wide receiver receivers.

Speaker 8 (09:12):
I would say yes because I I I tend to
lean towards the guys that are that are sort of
like they they define a new role or a new
something for that position, and I would put him in
that category.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
I work with Steve. I'm a little scared of Steve.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Reggie Wayne seems like a no brainer as well at
some point, yeah, at some point. And same thing with
the last name I was going to bring up, which
is Terrell Suggs, which was he was just an unstoppable force.
For everything that Tom said about that, you have to
have that window of like that is the guy Terrell
Suggs had that four or five year stretch where he
seemed unstoppable fall time in Sacks, he was a beast. Yeah,

(09:53):
he's got a game.

Speaker 8 (09:54):
It's difficult because and Tom can speak to this more
than I can, but they there's not a set number
of guys that I have to have in So it's
like the windows like what between four and nine guys
that are that make it. And you know, a bunch
of these guys are have been semi finals for a
long time, so you're gonna get some first ballot guys.
But then after that, it's like it gets really really

(10:16):
hard when you start breaking it down.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
So Suggs, again, I just looked it up. He was
first team All Pro once, but that was also a
year where he won AP Defensive Player of the Year
and I was twenty eleven when he beat out Jared Allen,
who was second in the voting. I mean Suggs to me.
You know, yeah, Terrell Suggs is a phenomenal player, obviously
came out of the gate hood. He's a local guy
here in Minneapolis as well. But you know, in terms

(10:38):
of just like the dominant stretch, I would still give
the edge to Jared Allen wide receiver. By the way,
with all those names you just listed, Corey, that's always
one of the toughest positions, especially in the modern NFL
where so many guys are putting up big numbers. My
modern I mean even in the past fifteen years is
rules you know, have been strengthened for defensive holding and
things like that. There's more guys with those numbers, but

(11:00):
it's just harder to get in. I think there's a
lot of you know, absolutely deserving types of guys, but
a lot of times those receivers have to wait a while.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
All Right, last Hall of Fame question, because again we
brought it up earlier in the week because the TV
broadcast Vikings and Titans on Sunday, spiurodidas and was it
Adam Marceletta right, they couldn't stop saying future Hall of
Famer Harrison Smith like it was you know, written in
Stone and everybody here in Minnesota loves Harrison Smith. He's
guaranteed ring of Honor. As Sauce and I talked about yesterday,

(11:28):
He's a no brainer for that. Is he a lot
like they presented on Sunday? Or where do you think
Harrison Smith falls in the Hall of Fame? Panthem here?

Speaker 6 (11:37):
I mean, I think that Harrison Smith is a Hall
of Famer in my eyes. Again, I've got a bias here,
say I know Harrison. I've covered him his entire career,
you know, towards the volume of takeaways, he's right up
there with the best, the longevity, the way that people
on other teams talk about him, you know, and the
way that his game has evolved through the years, how
smart he's become. It's just, you know, safeties are always

(12:00):
Actually wrote a story talked to Harrison about this years ago.
You know, Safeties are always tough because the guys who
tend to be the big names nationally are the ones
with like you know, shampoo commercials and funny nicknames and whatnot. Safeties.
Even in the HDTV era, they're off the camera a lot.
We don't know what's going on based on the camera
and in safety position. And so unless you're you know,

(12:22):
Troy Paulamalhu jumping over the top with your hair flowing
out of your helmet, like, people don't really have a
great frame of reference, you know. I would like to
think that the voters are talking to the coaches and
the players and asking, you know, who are the you know,
who are the guys that were really the best at
their position. I don't know how many el pros you know,
Harrison had, but certainly he's been one of the best.
He's got the longevity, he's got the takeaway numbers. To me,

(12:45):
that's that's Hall of Fame material. But you know, that's
another one that may take a little.

Speaker 10 (12:49):
Bit, including the coach that has been let go. If
you were, let's say, on Black Monday, if you had
to put the over under of head coaches fired at
five the half, would you go over?

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Right?

Speaker 6 (13:02):
Yes, I'm not giving gambling advice.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
No no, no, no, I'm not percent you're not. I'm
just saying, like.

Speaker 6 (13:08):
I don't know that there is a line being given
on that, but certainly I think that you will be
on average. In recent years, over the last seven cycles,
there have been fifty head coaching changes, So that's a
little over seven per year. We have some years where
there's you know, closer to ten, some years where there's
like five. But I would put it right in that
seven to eight type of category. Here. You've already got

(13:30):
two jobs that are available. There are a bunch of
teams right now that are really on the razor's edge
in terms of potential changes, and there's usually a surprise,
So I would I would fairly say it's going to
be you know, seven to eight opening to potentially could
be a little bit more than that. I don't really
think it's going to be less than that. And then
the big question and everyone I talk with, everyone I
talked to recently here is where are you finding those

(13:52):
seven eight nine coaches to take those jobs? I think
that it sets up really well for the veteran coaches
because of the crop that's out there, whether it's you
know the big names like Belichick and Mike Vrabel and
you know Brian Flores certainly, you know, based on his
track record and haven't been a head coach before Mike
McCarthy's contract is up. There's guys like John Gruden, Pete

(14:13):
Carroll out there who would like another shout under the
right circumstances. He got a bunch of former head coaches
like Steve Spagnolo that everybody thinks are you know, in
line for jobs. Cliff Kingsbury is probably going to be
back in the mix.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
Here.

Speaker 6 (14:24):
We're talking about the young coaches, the first timers. I
put out a story on this yesterday at NFL dot com,
and there's a you know, there's a good list, but
outside of Ben Johnson, the Lions offensive coordinator, there's not
a lot of like dialed up, Okay, this dude's ready.
He is definitely getting a job. I don't really you know,
see that. I think there's a lot of talented young coaches,
particularly on offense, but they're all up projection because all

(14:46):
of them are one or two year type of coordinators here.
So I think it's gonna be a fascinating cycle upcoming.
You could have you know, two three names to kind
of come out of nowhere. You could have an unorthodox
type of hire, maybe somebody going to the college level,
pursuing somebody like Notre Dames mark Us Freeman. There's a
lot of moving parts in this cycle. And for you know,
those couple of teams that have a jump start on

(15:06):
it with the Jets and the Saints. You know, they're
already surveying this landscape here at the big dominoes though,
are going to be those big names. It's going to
be Belichick, It's going to be Variable. And I'm not
saying both those guys or even either of those guys
ends up coaching in twenty twenty five, but certainly they're
the biggest names that's going to dictate a lot of
where this entire cycle goes.

Speaker 10 (15:26):
Now a roll into the Vikings Bears talk could this
be eber Flus's last game as head coach.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
I don't really anticipate it. You know, Kevin Warren is
a longtime Vikings executive who now is the president of
the Bears. He is very methodical. He wants to take
in all the information, speak with everybody possible, and then
come to conclusions. You know, I was not surprised when
they made the change and offensive coordinator, even though you
know there is a real chance, you know, even the

(15:54):
morning that they woke up the Chane Waldron was still
going to be there. Eberfu was felt like he needed
to make a change. At that point, Thomas Brown came
in They lost that game on the block field goal
last week, but just in terms of the numbers, they
had almost four hundred yards, Caleb Williams was like twenty
three to thirty one passing. It looked like progress here.
They still got the rest of their divisions slate ahead
of them. Would have been great to get that game

(16:14):
last week, we'd feel different about it. But think about this,
for all the talk and everything's framed is when is
Ebraflus getting fired. They're literally a hail Mary and a
block field goal away from being six and four and
being on the inside of the NFC playoff picture. Other
coaches don't like facing Matt Eberflus's defenses because they do
test you because they play so hard and physical and discipline.

(16:36):
It's just been the offense that's really been up and
down through the course of the season. So I think
that this is a tough matchup for the Vikings, who
offensively have not been quite as explosive in recent weeks
as they were early in the season. Absolutely, this is
a game that they should win, even in a hostile environment.
But don't sleep on the Bears just yet. There's still

(16:56):
the pieces there. They've got the talent where they can
actually put together a run. But they got to get
this one against men.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
So you know, I couldn't agree with you more.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
I mean watching the last couple of games back for
the Bears, and the thing that really stuck out was
Caleb looked so much more decisive. Things did look a
little simpler, although I don't know any of this schematic stuff.
And he rushed for seventy yards, which is the most
that he's rushed for all season long, So they are
intentional about him using his legs because he is very
athletic when he's in space. I do want to take

(17:25):
it back, though, and talk about Brian Flores and the
head coaching situation.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Can the vikings?

Speaker 8 (17:30):
Are there any other things that you can do from
a promotion standpoint, a title standpoint, quote unquote, a power
standpoint that you can do with some of these coaches
to keep them around that they haven't already done yet
with Brian Flores, because I certainly personally don't want him
to leave. Obviously, I think that he's been great for
this organization and for this defense, and for him to have,

(17:52):
you know, such a strong hand in bringing in a
lot of these free agent type players. But are they
sort of maxed out on what they can do to
keep him here.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
Well, there's nothing they can do, you know, to prevent
him from taking a head coaching job. There's always you know,
new contracts, more money, yeah, other you know, adjusted titles
to you know, associate head coach, assistant at coach, whatever
it might be. But you know, if Briant Flores gets
the opportunity, he can leave. And he's made no bones
about the fact that he wants to be a head
coach in the NFL. Again, there are obviously unique circumstances

(18:23):
to this. He's got an active lawsuit against the NFL
and several of the owners. There are certain things that
he's going to have to overcome in terms of the
way that people felt he treated them in Miami, certainly
to a tongue of Iloa's comments, or another thing that
Flora's is going to have to answer for. But you know,
as a guy, I know, you know, we were in
the same class at Boston College. We had a lot

(18:45):
of mutual friends. I've gotten to know flow through the years.
You know. Certainly, again there's things that he needs to adjust,
and he's spoken to that and said that there are
different things in terms of interpersonal dynamics and whatnot in
relationships that he probably should do differently the next time around.
I do know this, Brian Flores is a hell of
a football coach. He won way more games than he

(19:05):
should have based on the talent level in Miami. He
went through a lot of coaches. He's very demanding of
his coaches. We've seen him with the Vikings defensive staff
as well. That is a non approach that's going to
be for everyone. But he's going to win. He won
in Miami. He didn't make the playoffs, but he won
a lot of games in Miami. I would fully anticipate
that he would go into a new place and he

(19:27):
would get the maximum out of his roster. If he's
able to learn some of those lessons. I think he's
got the chance to be a really great head coach
in the NFL. But the first job, you know, the
first order of business here is going to be convincing
these teams because he will get interview slips. I believe
that he will get interviewed for jobs. He's got to
convince teams that he really has learned and that there

(19:47):
really will be adjustments because you know, listen last offseason,
the last head coaching cycle, there were not a lot
of guys. There was nobody hired for head coaching jobs
with a negative reinforcement culture. You know, all checks out
for Able's out. The entire Patriots tree is out in
terms of head coaching jobs right now. You know what
did people hire. They hired people in the mold of

(20:09):
Dan Campbell or Dmico Ryans where it's you know, we
can win. We can do it with positivity, and we
can do it with everybody pulling together and everyone feeling
like they're part of it. You know, if Brian Flores
is able to elucidate a plan for how he's going
to do that, you know, he's certainly got his own style,
but you know, being able to bring the building together
and not drive people apart. If he can do that

(20:29):
and somebody gives him a shot again, I fully anticipate
that he's gonna win a lot of games.

Speaker 4 (20:33):

I'm Corey, that's Paul, that's Max, that's Been and there's
Parker Fox who u and dunks And uh I thought
you were gonna die when you went neo on it
there and went parallel to the ground when you dunked
against Cleveland State. But you're okay, you survived.

Speaker 12 (23:40):
I'm alive, Yeah, barely, but uh yeah, I kind of
got the wrists a little bit. I think I literally
was parallel to the ground at the one point and
like my feet were above my head. So that was
kind of scary. It's like, I mean, Sauce knows, there's
there's two things when you dunky. Either dunk hell yeah,
you don't grab the rim or you or you grab
the reing and you swing. You can't go in between,
no in between, and you're gonna you know, your feet

(24:01):
are gonna go above your head.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
So yep, that's what I tell my NBA two K
team every game. So Parker, you drill a grim on
the call said thirty footer, but it was super far
out right before half. You guys were trailing in Cleveland,
State twenty nine, twenty eight. You launched one at the
buzzer and drill it and then do a super cool
run off the court and run down the stairs making
the three or whatever. It was like you had planned it. It

(24:22):
was awesome. But then you tweeted, It's been one thousand,
three hundred and sixty days since I made in a
game a three, So that was pretty cool. Was that
the actual stat You went back and counted the days? Yeah,
I did well, Siri thirteen sixty. Yeah, Sirie helps as
well a lot.

Speaker 9 (24:38):
So I went to the box score.

Speaker 12 (24:39):
The last time I hit a three and it was like, uh,
what's the last how many days ago? Was February twenty eight,
thirty twenty one, and it was like one thousand, three
hundred and sixty Holy cow, Because I.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Didn't hit one last year.

Speaker 12 (24:50):
Wasn't really like my thing, didn't really you know, still
in a role all that kind of stuff, and then
obviously the two years with the ACLS, so it was
it had been a while. So it was kind of
fun to see one go in and especially kind of
fashion that it went in for me.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
What a game though. You led the team in scoring
with eighteen points, and like I said, right before that
three and a half, you guys were trailing, so Cleveland
State was giving you a handful for a second, but
you were the main reason they won on Tuesday.

Speaker 12 (25:12):
Yeah, it was just one of those weird, like Tuesday,
low energy games. And I think, you know, as we
see a lot of times, like you know, you come
out and you kind of play to the level of
your competition, which which sucks.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
We talked about it.

Speaker 12 (25:21):
I know you guys talked about it earlier with the Wolves,
but it's it's kind of human nature. It just happens naturally.
So for us to kind of realize that at halftime
and then come out in the second half and play
a lot better was good for us.

Speaker 8 (25:33):
So was it intentional with the matchups because you said
you're coming off the bench, which you got thirty one
points or thirty one minutes. Yeah, So was that just like, oh,
he's feeling it, let's just keep him in there, or
was that sort of the game plan is to bring
you off the bench and get that many minutes.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Yeah, you know, I started the first couple of games,
Coach and.

Speaker 12 (25:48):
I had this kind of conversation about what he wants
from our team, and he just loves my energy off
the bench. He loves that he can kind of go
to a guy that's been around, knows the game, and
can kind of keep us flowing off of the bench.
And so I've kind of just accepted that role, obviously
going to play like you know, you play whatever role
the coaches asked you to play. So that's the role
I was given that day. And then obviously the matchups
worked out well for me and kind of had it going.

(26:09):
And then you know, also shout up to coach because
it's like anytime guys playing well, you got to go
with your hot hand. And I feel like that's if
it was for me, both me and if it's somebody
else go with them. So it's, uh, yeah, it was
a good game for me, and obviously we came out
with the dog, which is the most important.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
How quickly when you're on the court against a team
like Cleveland State that you're probably not super familiar with,
you probably watched two seconds of film. How quickly do
you realize this matchup is perfect? For me, like this
guy or that guy cannot stop me, I should have
a super monster game if I do this right.

Speaker 12 (26:37):
Yeah, for me, it's really quick because I kind of
play the five or the four, and I'm a little
undersized for that obviously, like I'm about six eight two twenty,
but there's a lot of you know, seven footers and
you know some like two fifties, two sixties. So when
I kind of see a guy that that physically can't
stay with me laterally, because I think my speed is
something that I used to my advantage. Especially in our offense,
we do a lot of stuff on the perimeter, so

(26:58):
I'm I'm not down in the low poe like you know,
posting up very much. I'm kind of on the perimeter,
so I can kind of dribble around or fake handoffs
or set.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Screens and rolls and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 12 (27:07):
So I can tell pretty early what the defense is doing,
and then therefore it's it's an advantage for me if
I can kind of dissect that. And then defensively, my
biggest weakness is probably guarding big guys in the post,
So anytime I can try to get away from that
matchup is good for me.

Speaker 8 (27:22):
So it's kind of twofold there. I mean, how do
you that's an interesting thing that you bring up. How
do you prepare for a guy that is a seven
footer or seven, you know, seven foot plus if you
don't have that practice type guy on your roster. I
mean you physically can't practice against that. And then two
days leading up to a game.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
Yeah, it's a.

Speaker 12 (27:42):
Huge It's really hard, especially when you like you're playing
against like a Zach Edy last year where he's you know, seven,
it's impossible to really him it because we don't have that.
But at the same time, it's like you just got
to hopefully, you know, hope that you can box them
out one because obviously they're huge, they got longer arms
in you, they're than you. And then two, you got
to take advantage of where you can. If they're seven

(28:03):
foot they're probably not going to be moving vertically as
well and horizontally, so you got to be able to to,
you know, make this quick, sneaky fast plays.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
And that's something that I have to my advantage.

Speaker 8 (28:13):
But I'm gonna guess that since you've done this a lot,
that you may say that in general, because I've certainly
been there when I've been playing him, like watching film
like oh, this guy, I feel like I've got an
advantage physically, or this guy he doesn't look that fast.
And then you get then you actually face him face
to face, You're like, oh, snap, Like this guy's actually
way faster than I thought, Like there's something there's something
deceptive about film. Sometimes they're like, oh, yeah, Zachi, he

(28:36):
looks looks just like like a kind of a bumbling
clumsy guy, like no big deal, and then you face
me like, oh geez, he's like way.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
Quicker than I thought.

Speaker 12 (28:43):
Yeah, and especially at this level too, when guys can
shoot at that height, like a kalel Waar last year
from Indiana who's playing with the Miami Heat. Now, he
was a seven footer that stretched it out and like
picking pop. So I'm hedging on ball screens and they
passed it back to him. He's hitting threes. It's like,
what am I supposed to do here? Because he's dominating
me in the page, like I can't do anything about it.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
So yeah, it's it's tough, man.

Speaker 12 (29:03):
And I think especially in the Big ten, where this
is like you know, we feed guys in the NBA
in the Big ten. So it's every single night it's
a battle for me, and I'm always undersized, but I
have to try to find a way to do something.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
Obviously, use my feet.

Speaker 12 (29:16):
I have good feet, so try to get around ball
screens and try to get around post ups.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
But yeah, it's never easy. It's always it's always a grind.
So Parker up next, What Central Michigan Chippawas on Monday?

Speaker 12 (29:24):
Yeah, the chip Awas on Monday before we head to
Orlando for our our Thanksgiving tournament. So I don't know
much about them yet. Probably start some film work here
pretty soon. But if you watch, Yeah, Rosie, you can
watch why not. I would love to have you at
the barn, Rosie. Yeah, but yeah, they're a decent team.
They took Marquette, who's a top fifteen team, to a
five point game a couple of weeks ago, so it's

(29:45):
definitely gonna be a it's definitely gonna be a battle.

Speaker 4 (29:48):
On all right, let's do Fan five. Let's get to
some things that we have not discussed yet, at least
not in depth, shall we.

Speaker 13 (29:53):
Yeah, man, it's time for Fan five, brought to you
by Builders and Remodelers.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
Hey, thanks builders and We'll start with this, Benjamin. Okay,
the Vikings are at the Bears Sunday at noon, right
here on the fan. The Vikings are eight and two,
the Bears are four and six. Like we mentioned earlier,
the Bears have lost four straight games. They lost on
the Commanders Hail Mary, then they lost to the Cardinals,
they lost to the Patriots, and then they just lost

(30:19):
to the Packers on a blocked field goal. For the season,
Caleb Williams nine touchdowns, five interceptions, but neither of those
in the last four games. How about four games with
no interceptions and no passing touchdowns? Just zeros good? And
how about this his four games and those four losses.
Here are his passing yards been one thirty one from

(30:42):
seen two seventeen one to twenty and two thirty one.
Who's the one twenty against? I think that was the Patriots.
That's bad. So Chicago fifth worst in the NFL and
offensive yards a game, and the Vikings have the fourth
best scoring defense give just seventeen points a game. No,
their defense is pretty solid as well. Yeah, they're seventh

(31:04):
in scoring defense. Vikings lead the NFL in interceptions with sixteen.
Byron Murphy leads the way with four. But you have
a quarterback who's struggling, right, they just fired the offensive coordinator.
They've lost four straight. He can't throw for any touchdowns.
You have a team that leads the NFL in interceptions
a plus with scoring defense again fourth best on paper,

(31:25):
this looks like another nightmare for Caleb Williams because there's
no doubt with Floras in the defense, you gotta put
them in that conversation is the best of the last
five that they've seen, and they struggled against the last four.
This should be a I mean, let's just let's rip
his heart out of his chest and say you can't
do this, You're not good enough.

Speaker 8 (31:45):
So if this was just a one sided evaluation and
we were just going to play their offense versus our defense,
we should dominate. I just don't think as efficient as
he looked last week, and decisive as he looked, and
the use of his legs that we mentioned with Pela Sero,
it is a different with this new offensive coordinator. It

(32:06):
is a different feel to their offense. They ran the
ball much more downhill. They were able to get swift going.
It looked like a more balanced offense. I want to
give them that credit. And Caleb looked Actually, I thought
he looked pretty good. I mean, they played toe to
toe with the Packers, and their defense unfortunately just gave
up a couple of plays down the stretch, but they

(32:28):
were right in it. You never if you watched that
one game from last week, you're like, that's a pretty
good football team. That's a decent football team. Just say
they haven't really shown the consistency. So I think facing
our defense, the type of blitz packages, the fact that
it isn't known, fact that he just holds onto the
ball way too long. I mean nine sacks actually could

(32:50):
have been more against the Patriots because you know, part
of it was just miscommunication the offensive line.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
They were letting free guys rush.

Speaker 8 (32:57):
He was holding on the ball too long because he
was confused and not knowing where to thro It's that
prestat processing that he just doesn't have, and he's certainly
not going to get it against our defense.

Speaker 9 (33:05):
We have too.

Speaker 8 (33:06):
Many moving pieces, We have veteran quarterbacks that are confused
by this defense. So if this is a one sided evaluation,
we should dominate. My concern though, is once again we're
facing another defense that does not blitz much and plays
much more coverage than they do blitz. And that is
where Sam Darnold has struggled. And that is why our
offense is less explosive these last few weeks, because we

(33:28):
do have to take little nibbles and little chunks, and
we have to be more patient. We have to run
the football. We got to be a little bit more balanced.
And this is a Bears front that you watch him
pretty standard four man front. They'll blitz on third down
when needed, but they've got some young guys up front
that really get after the quarterback. And that does bother
me that we may not score as many points as

(33:50):
we think that we're going to score and the game
ends up being closer, albeit we win the game.

Speaker 10 (33:55):
We've seen ben a lot from them that as you
were as you were talking about with the offensive line
and how bad that it has been. When you give
up nine sacks to the Patriots, wh weren't very good,
that's not a good sign. How much does a new
offensive coordinator maybe help on offensive line, well a.

Speaker 8 (34:11):
Ton, and it sounds like they may be getting some
guys back from from being injured on the offensive line,
Tevin Jenkins being maybe the key piece of that. But
like I was saying, that the offense just looked like
it was much more in sync. It looked like they
didn't They weren't moving as much pre snap, moving guys
around as much pre snap. It was just like, all right,

(34:33):
line up and just let our guys play the game
of football. And it seemed like Caleb rely thrived in
that situation. So I do think the offensive coordinator helps
out a ton with the play calling.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Obviously.

Speaker 8 (34:44):
You know, you look at this the sack and the
pressure numbers from the Patriots game to the Packers game,
and everybody would agree the Packers defense is just better
than the Patriots. They were much more solid. You didn't
have free rushers, you didn't have guys is running free
and all this other stuff. It looked like they understood
where the blitzes were coming from from the Packers. So

(35:05):
whatever they're talking about, whatever scheme that happened in the
last week, seemed to make a big difference.

Speaker 4 (35:13):
Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred was responding to some
questions because there are some people that are starting to
doubt whether the A's will ever end up in Las
Vegas because it's not going as quickly as everybody would
assume that it was going. But he says the A's
are absolutely stile on the path to Vegas, despite some
public doubt. He said, quote, the building's been demolished, the

(35:33):
sites available, They are on track for a twenty twenty
eight opening. I guess the financing is the concern. They're
a little concerned that the owner doesn't have the money
to get this thing built, maybe either on time or
the way that they thought that he was going to
But Manford basically said, whether it's local money or outside money,

(35:55):
he's on pace. So I don't know why people are
freaking out because it's supposed to be three years from now,
so I think they're going to play. Still, you gotta
think about it.

Speaker 8 (36:05):
We actually had this conversation with the guys down in
Tennessee because they're building a brand new stadium right next
to Nissan Stadium, and they're talking about all the just
the political hoops that you have to go through and
all the red tape you have to go through just
from Tennessee City council stuff. Now, think about that exponentially
more with what we think of and perceive as like
Las Vegas. I mean, I can't imagine working through some

(36:27):
of those things, some of the union stuff, people that
have their hands out. It's much more like trying to
build a stadium in New York than would be like
in Tennessee or something like so, and you've.

Speaker 4 (36:37):
Got to have a lot of liquid cash, you have
to have all the overages. So why don't you just
use your like Caesar's comps. Yeah, just pay for it
with comps. Probably goes exacts there. He didn't pay for
that room.

Speaker 8 (36:50):
So getting the state and the city to pump in
the money and agree to all that and then you know,
in Tennessee's case, the ownership passed, they they agreed they
will take care of all the the overages. Well, the
overages are like twenty percent on average. So you're thinking
twenty percent of a you know, a few billion dollars stadium, SA.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
What's twenty percent of a billion? Twenty percent of a
billion is two hundred million. You're good at this. It's
the beard, it's the lack of the beard. You're thinking, clearly,
I don't know what.

Speaker 8 (37:18):
Kelly has to do with this, but yeah, so anyway,
it's like it's really easy to be like, oh, you've
get you get financing, and you get you just start
building the stadium. Like, yeah, they might have torn the
stadium down, but you guys know how expensive the labor
is just to build in Las Vegas, let alone the
materials and all the other things are going to happen.
So like, I don't know, man, I think if there's
it's going to be a tricky, tricky situation for them

(37:40):
to get in in three years.

Speaker 5 (37:41):
I think a lot of journalists are reporting and saying
like that, there's not a whole lot of plans set
in place on the Vegas side yet. So that's why
a lot of people are apprehensive to think that this
is as close as Robman, because of course Robman friends
going to say they're on their way to Vegas.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
For a lot of other people are saying, ah, not
so fast. It better be because as nobody wants permanent Sacramento. Right's,
oh god no, and no offense in the NBA. But
I still think it's hilarious that they're going to be last. Right,
Baseball is going to get their football and hockey you're
already there. I cannot believe the NBA is going to
be the last about Las Vegas, all right, let's do

(38:15):
headlines when we come back. More with Parker Fox, More
with Ben Lieber for like the next twenty minutes or so.

I've been doing these cores Light Hockey trivia things for
like a decade plus, right, and obviously, and this is
coming up organically. Initials Game Live has been going on
for a couple of months, right. We're adding all the time.
So there's there's teams you can you can play by
yourself or play as teams. Uh, these cores Light things,

(40:19):
it's on paper trivia on paper, but you have to
write your team name. You have to write your team
name in the blank. For Initials Game Live, people sign
up with user names and team names. The amount of
meat sauce references. References when it comes to team names
would blow your mind. You've texted me a few of them,
for sure. Yeah, Like I was at the one when

(40:40):
I was at Novella a couple of weeks ago, when
they cracked the initials Game Live open, Like half the
team names were references to you or the size of
your head, or your future son's name, or your dad
in his love affair with Rosy, or Chris Hockey or
Chris Hockey. People just love to do meat sauce team names.
Oh well, that's kind of them. Yeah. I think it's

(41:01):
also to get you to laugh or maybe. Yeah, But
like for these cores light things like the one tonight.
You know, I don't have extra prizes for funny names. Now.
They do that sometimes at the Initiative Game Live stuff,
but I just hand out tickets and swag for the
teams that win. Not the cutest name. Well, if it's
about me, I'm interested. So thank you for making that

(41:21):
about me. And now that I mentioned it on the air,
I guess is that's going to be even increase even
you ever get hot ass Randy and stuff like that. Yeah,
there's one hundred percent. There's smitty Um references, there's hot
Ass Randy references, little scene Bear gets referenced on a
name from time to time.

Speaker 7 (41:36):
All of them.

Speaker 4 (41:37):
The headlines brought to you by my friends. It's a
Wolf River Electric and wolf Riverelectric dot com. You can
go solar. Maybe you've seen the billboards all over the
other twin cities. Go solar and get solar panels put on,
like I did with my friends at Wolf River Electric.
Hell yeah, man, yeah, hell yeah. All right, Ben, let's

(42:00):
see I always want to see. I always trying to
like figure out what do I want to get to first,
because Ben's gonna leave in like thirteen minutes, so we
got to make sure we get the good stuff. Yeah.

Speaker 10 (42:07):
This is like this is like your set list for
a concert. Yeah yeah, all right, let's start with this one.
Then I'm just gonna read this. Maybe some of you have,
uh have more details and can fill us in. Here's
the headline. You guys can tell me if you know
anything else.

Speaker 14 (42:21):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Logan Paul agreed to be interviewed about an alleged crypto
scam that he was involved in, but he sent a
look alike in his place. That's pretty funny. Didn't Uh
who is uh Max?

Speaker 10 (42:37):
So, who who's the Who's Eric Andre's sidekick Hannibal Burst?

Speaker 4 (42:41):
Well didn't he do that? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (42:42):
I think I think he got in trouble for that
Tooah like Aider Man or something? Oh yeah, no, yeah
he did. He did send a look alike yep, and
and uh Spider Man premiere.

Speaker 4 (42:51):
Yeah. M F.

Speaker 5 (42:52):
Doom the Rapper a huge underground rapper. He used to
send look because he wore a mask his entire career.
Nobody knew what he really looked like, so he would
send imposters to his concerts all the time.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
Genius. Yeah, that's genius.

Speaker 9 (43:04):
In this situation, you're you're meeting with federal authorities.

Speaker 4 (43:09):
It's probably not smart, right According to the headline, I'm
not sure who he interviewed it, but sure Logan Paul
agreed to be interviewed about an alleged cryptos game he
was involved in, but sent to look alike in his place.

Speaker 9 (43:19):
Well, even if it is an interview, how stupid is that?

Speaker 14 (43:22):
Right? You?

Speaker 9 (43:23):
You don't want to incriminate yourself.

Speaker 8 (43:25):
You don't want this guy to go in there and
just not just look like you, but answer questions about
a possible investigation to get.

Speaker 4 (43:31):
You in trouble totally what a Parker. Did you watch
the fight Jake, Paul and Tyson last if you did,
we talked about a little Monday with Pa. But yeah,
and you hated it too. I don't know.

Speaker 12 (43:42):
It was for me, it was just like I love
all like the antics that come with the fight, so
it was still fun, but like, yeah, I wish it
would have been more competitive, that's for sure.

Speaker 10 (43:51):
About the Paul brothers, their Prime drink is a ten
out of ten. Wow, I think it's two dollars cheaper
and Gatorade. It's it's electric, the uh, what's your flavor?

Speaker 4 (44:05):
The moon one? So good? Yeah, so good?

Speaker 10 (44:08):
Yeah, and it's it doesn't have a lot of sugar
in it and they use like they use coconut water.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
It's great.

Speaker 10 (44:14):
I love I drink it all the time, to the
point where my wife and I sat down for dinner
last night, I'm like, will you grab me a Prime.

Speaker 9 (44:22):
Put it in a glass.

Speaker 4 (44:25):
Let's rank these pairs of brothers in terms of how
annoyed with them we are, Okay, go ahead. The Kelsey brothers,
the Manning brothers, the Paul brothers, the Lambert brothers, The
Manning brothers are one to hate the thing.

Speaker 10 (44:42):
I've backed off. Uh, Jason, when it isn't like Eagles
related and it isn't just like a like a I
don't know how I can put this radio weight when
it's not.

Speaker 4 (44:55):
Like a.

Speaker 10 (44:57):
Nobody tell them, well, I was gonna say something I
probably shouldn't say. When it isn't like an ego fest
and it isn't just all about him. He's great on TV,
Jason is and uh, he's kind of grown on me
a little when it wasn't that Eagles game and they
did like two quarters and they are like, come on,
this is just an Eagles home broadcast.

Speaker 4 (45:19):
When he isn't doing that, he's great, he's funny, annoying.
Why is Peyton doing the uh? Why Why? Because he's
a big deal. He cares, he does not everything he does.
Everything he's doing like toll House cookie commercials. Enough strike
when the iron's hot. Yeah, I get that, but he's everywhere.
I'm sick of painting commercial Yeah that painting commercials sucks.

(45:42):
The whole thing sucks.

Speaker 6 (45:43):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (45:44):
Then the Lambert brothers, then the Kelsey brothers. I don't
I don't care about the Paul Brothers. They don't bug
me that much even though they're Where are the Scalar brothers.

Speaker 4 (45:54):
I like them. Those guys are super they're super nice.
Melendez brothers didn't the one Zach's obsessed with. Yeah, who
was the one serial killer that Zack was obsessed with?
Richard Ramirez because he had abs like he killed so
many he thought he was hot. I didn't know. Cambridge

(46:16):
Dictionary has made manifest the word of the year. Oh god, yeah,
that seems about right, like t word Maxill.

Speaker 5 (46:25):
No, No, too many hipster chicks with the with the
whole little shawl thing on their wall talking about manifesting.

Speaker 4 (46:32):
You're just not manifesting hard enough. I'm poor, I'm thinking
about money all the time. Vision boards don't work, that's
not You know how many times I've tried to manifest
a poker win rights Like, I'm just gonna see it.
I'm gonna believe it. I'm gonna manifest that it's gonna happen.
I need a club on the river. Oh that's a diamond.
I guess I'll go home. Yeah, damn. He isn't.

Speaker 9 (46:52):
Manifesting just a fancy word for praying or hoping.

Speaker 4 (46:57):
You have to you have to speak it into the
Uni verse. Go home, Yeah, kiss my ass and watch
the Costco manifested, bring the boom.

Speaker 8 (47:08):
Let me just use those guys at another social trend
to talk about myself meat sauce.

Speaker 4 (47:17):
Maybe I should just stand outside of a casino and
just try casting spells and see if that works manifesting,
don't die by yourself? Who cares? That'd be great. The
biggest travel trend apparently in twenty twenty five is trending
to be road trips. They're saying that they think road

(47:39):
trips are coming back with a vengeance in twenty twenty five. Nope,
hate it. You don't like them. What I don't want
to be in this. I don't want to be in
the car man gar k. These hurt body hurts. I
get like I understand it for you. The rest of
us can fit into a car comfortably. And I love
road trips. Yeah.

Speaker 12 (47:56):
I used to have to drive to Aberdeen and my
old school and that's like five hours and halfway.

Speaker 4 (48:01):
I was giving up about every makes road.

Speaker 12 (48:04):
Trips still road trips in general, Like I want to
just be at a destination and sit there and not
have to worry about anything instead of or enjoy where
I'm at instead of driving through middle of nowhere America
and it's boring and there's nothing going on and the
car is uncomfortable.

Speaker 8 (48:21):
So yeah, but if it's but if it's road trips
that you've never done before, the destination is a place
you've never you've never gone to. Give me one, I
don't know, go to drive to Montana if you if
you drive.

Speaker 9 (48:34):
Drive to Breckenridge.

Speaker 4 (48:36):
I'd rather just fly there and then explore around there.
You know, I don't want to I don't want to drive.

Speaker 8 (48:41):
There's something so sweet about just like that open road
and it's like, yeah, it's desolate, and it's like this
is awful.

Speaker 9 (48:47):
And then you like start seeing the ticket for going
ten over.

Speaker 4 (48:52):
Denver's full of bleep. Yeah, I like a road trip.

Speaker 12 (48:57):
I was doing eighty and a seventy five one time
in like middle of nowhere South Dakota, and a cop
pulls out and got and got me for five over
eighty and a seventy five in the middle of nowhere
South Dakota. One hundred and eighty dollars ticket.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
That sucks. Come on, like that's a guy or now
having a bad Yeah.

Speaker 12 (49:12):
Right, exactly It's like he brought me back to the
car like wanted to talk hoops and was like, oh, yeah,
I've been watching you this year.

Speaker 4 (49:17):
I was like, I still gave you a ticket? It
like yeah, great, Like this is perfect. I'm getting back
to the carrought it back.

Speaker 10 (49:22):
To the car.

Speaker 12 (49:22):
Yeah, had me sit in the car with him and
was like, oh yeah, I watched you this year and
then boom got me with the ticket.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
I was like, that's that's you must have fought so
hard to go Well, then don't you know who I am?
You gotta give me a warning and let me go
five over, not fifty over, fifteen over five.

Speaker 7 (49:39):
I know.

Speaker 4 (49:40):
According to a panel of experts, you could argue the
best place to shop on Black Friday.

Speaker 14 (49:46):
Is J C.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
Penny. Let me be the first to say, I keep
forgetting they still exist. This has got some good stuff.
Where is the line? Where are the J C. Pennies
in the Twin Cities? It still exists?

Speaker 9 (49:58):
Isn't there a rid Well?

Speaker 4 (50:01):
I don't think. Yeah, my grandma worked there. Yeah she's
one of White Barle.

Speaker 9 (50:08):
Well didn't they do a whole rebrand like five years ago?

Speaker 4 (50:11):
You're thinking of how the fact that the Lamberts called
Jacques Piner. That's that's an informal rebranding.

Speaker 15 (50:19):
Yeah, my dad, My dad calls and junk Pier, he does,
I know. Yeah, minnetaka hold On Roseville, Burnsville Man. Oh
Claire is one of O Claire.

Speaker 4 (50:30):
That does not surprise me. Oh Claire sweet. Yeah, but
I'm just saying, Oh Claire, Wisconsin stuck like twenty years
in the past. So my guess is Jayson Jacques Penner
is thriving in O Claire, Wisconsin. You are probably correct,
thriving lying out the door for Black Friday, getting some
foubuo jeans from J. C.

Speaker 5 (50:48):
Pennies back in the days, right, Yeah, I used to
do the.

Speaker 4 (50:51):
Best hidden valley. Ranch is apparently going to be selling
holiday cards with to go packets of ranch inside every card.
Now that's a car and I wouldn't. That's a great idea,
the phenomenal idea.

Speaker 12 (51:03):
There's always a time in your life when you're like
the bottle of ranch in the fridge is low and
you need that spare bottle of ranch sauce nose.

Speaker 4 (51:10):
Yeah, ranch whale. Eighteen bucks for an eight eight card pack,
that's not bad. Yeah, you do that hmmm.

Speaker 12 (51:18):
It's better than like standing there and taking a photo
with your family.

Speaker 13 (51:22):
Better.

Speaker 4 (51:23):
I don't care about what your family looks like. I
wanted some ranch or just dabing some ranch in a
random Christmas card out in.

Speaker 9 (51:29):
The back can't be sweet.

Speaker 12 (51:30):
It's like you get all these Christmas cards. It's like, oh, son, here,
dog there ranch. Yeah take that, Ben, well, you do
this one with you.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
ESPN's Adam Schefter just admitted that he once broke a
story right after getting it on that He said right after.

Speaker 9 (51:48):
I'm actually surprised that doesn't happen more often.

Speaker 4 (51:51):
I'm surprised he's had sex. Brilliant, brilliant. That's one of
those faces where you're like, I don't want to like,
I'm not saying he's ugly, he's just got one of
those face froom like, I don't want to picture what
that would look like. I don't want to see that.
I don't know what it is about him that's superman,
but you don't want to picture him on top of you,
nose to nose, breathing on you. It has to be me.
I I met with his lovely wife. I just.

Speaker 9 (52:19):
I'm surprised you don't want to picture that.

Speaker 10 (52:21):
No, but like, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (52:22):
There's if you're like, h, Like I'm looking at ESPN
right now and he's one of the five on the panel.
If you're like, hey, Dan Orlowski gets it on, I'd
be like, Okay, that makes sense. I could see Tom.
There's just something about Adam Schefter. I don't want to
even know that he does it. You know what I'm saying.
It's weird. Anybody have any idea what I'm saying. Yeah,
but you don't even want to imagine that that's part

(52:44):
of their universe for whatever reason. I just want him
to be broad or broadcasting or breaking news twenty four
hours a day. The fact that he's human and has
those kind of urges terrifies me to the bone.

Speaker 9 (52:55):
So it's like, it's like you put him in the
same category as your dad, Like, Dad, I know, oh
you did it. I just can't think about it.

Speaker 4 (53:02):
You even doing that? Yeah, that's that's I kind of sure.
That's kind of the same column.

Speaker 9 (53:10):
You haven't even out the disgusting, gross factor of that.

Speaker 14 (53:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (53:13):
Yeah, I'm thankful my dad did it at least once.
Otherwise I wouldn't be here. Saw do you have anybody
like that that you just don't even want to think
about that that's part of their world.

Speaker 10 (53:22):
I mean, the al that everything is pretty close. Yeah,
I don't want to know that. And this is not
This doesn't have to do with anything. This doesn't have
to do with a his ability or who he is
as a person, or having sex or not having sex.

Speaker 4 (53:36):
Isn't he really little? I don't know. Have you ever
seen one?

Speaker 8 (53:42):
No, I've I have seen him in person, I guess,
but I didn't. I don't think his height was something
that I was like.

Speaker 10 (53:48):
And the reason I bring it, but the reason the
reason I bring that up is last night there's this
new on Peacock. There's this new Charles Manson documentary where
this guy got like he somehow got a phone call
from Manson because he wanted an autograph and he has
hours and hours of these tapes of Manson talking.

Speaker 4 (54:05):
It's just nonsense. Manson is insane.

Speaker 10 (54:08):
But the one thing they said on that documentary is
when they first brought him into court, people were like
that guy, he's like.

Speaker 4 (54:16):
Four to eleven. Okay, but hem. That's my whole point
is you're saying short kings can't throw.

Speaker 12 (54:21):
Down Antonio Davis. It says he's five to six on
the internet, so.

Speaker 4 (54:28):
Chris Hockey's height, although Hawk likes to say he's five
six and three quarters like a seven year old likes
to say he's seven months and seven years and eight
months old.

Speaker 12 (54:39):
Yeah, it's only gonna go downhill there. So you got
to give yourself when you can.

Speaker 4 (54:43):
Ben final sixty seconds with you. After the Mike Tyson
Jake Paul debacle, the NFL reportedly has already reached out
to Netflix to try to get a reassurance that there
will be no buffering issues on their Christmas Day game.
Your thoughts, I mean, that's a no brains at least
check in and go. Is this gonna be a problem.

Speaker 8 (54:59):
Yeah, you have to check in with those guys and say, like,
all right, guys, you know they probably won't have those
streaming numbers. But at what point did they did the
buffer and start?

Speaker 4 (55:08):
Was a ten million?

Speaker 6 (55:10):
Was it?

Speaker 4 (55:10):
That's a good point because we were heard it was
like sixty million right watch the fight. That's the thing.

Speaker 9 (55:14):
It's like, at what point in time is it was
the threshold too much for you guys?

Speaker 4 (55:18):
Point? So you have to do it even if it's
half that can you handle thirty million? I don't think
it'll be thirty I don't think it'll be if it's
fifteen or twenty though. Can you handle that right? I
would hope they say yes, but we'll see. Of course
Netflix is gonna say, oh no, no, we're fine, got it.

Speaker 8 (55:32):
Yeah, they might be scrambling, like you know, they might
be like a duck on water, their feet just paddling,
you know, one thousand miles an hour.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
Like, no, it's all calm. Ducks are cool. They like
ducks cool. Three to four thirty Today, Twin Cities Live
Channel five.

Speaker 9 (55:47):
S Tom West. Boy, oh boy, he just texts me
something about Adam Schefter.

Speaker 4 (55:52):
That boy.

Speaker 9 (55:53):
I literally you made me chuckle and laugh out loud.

Speaker 4 (55:56):
So good for you. I'm be shared with the class
before you leave, Oh before off air, can you just
show me right now. I won't say it on the air.
Let me see. Yeah, I want to see. I want
to see too. Just turn the music, keep the music
up and we'll turn the mics. Yeah, yeah, I mean
that's good. Yeah, I love Tom West me.

Speaker 8 (56:20):
I'll come over all right, love you guys. I'll see
you Monday after another vice.

Speaker 4 (56:26):
Hell yeah, I love it. I love you, h sauce.
You just mentioned Charles Manson. Yeah, your buddy Chucky Murder Murder.
I've never known how to pronounce this guy's last name.
I think it wasn't this the guy from Sons of Anarchy?
Is it Charlie hun him or whom? How do you
say his last name?

Speaker 9 (56:44):
I think it's.

Speaker 14 (56:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (56:47):
He's going to be serial killer Ed Gean in season
three of the Netflix series Monster, And apparently a trailer
is out, so I don't know Eden. Uh, yeah, that'll
be interesting because uh had Gean?

Speaker 6 (57:02):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (57:04):
He was real weird obviously. Was he the one that
that just cut off skin and turned him into lamp shades? Yeah?
And he would like dig up graves and all that.
That was like his bit. What a weirdo?

Speaker 6 (57:16):
Yeah, he was.

Speaker 4 (57:18):
That'll I can't wait. That's all great. Yeah, you know
you're not supposed to ask questions, you know the answer
to when you do somebody? Yeah? What state is he from? Wisconsin?

Speaker 14 (57:29):
What?

Speaker 7 (57:30):
Ye?

Speaker 4 (57:30):
Wisconsin? No way, that can't be right. Jeffdahmers from Wisconsin?

Speaker 13 (57:34):
Right?

Speaker 4 (57:36):
Is that the onesac thought was attractive? No, that's Richard.
Where is he from? He probably stopped through Toma at
some point, Yeah, probably you have to. Speaking of documentaries
in docu series, is Peacock has made a docu series
about Girls Gone Wild and their founder, Joe Francis Sweet
Peacock has I'm in We had Max at Girls Gone Wild?

(58:01):
Yeah that guy that Yeah, that guy sucks. That got
real weird?

Speaker 7 (58:08):
Man.

Speaker 4 (58:09):
Do you remember what I trying to think of? The window?
Was it early two thousands where basically when whatever station
you were watching quote went off the air, it would
just be a thirty minute Girls Gone Wild in commercial yep. Yeah,
and like Comedy Centralist especially exactly just Comedy Central TV
probably those kind of stations, it would just be Girls
Gone Wild and they would show you so much of

(58:32):
the lead up until the point where the gall ends
up getting naked. And obviously they blurred a lot of
stuff out too, but just these weird kind of casting
couch awkward, super back of a truck or back of
a van or an RV kind of situation. You're like,
this feels low budget, uncomfortable.

Speaker 14 (58:50):
It was.

Speaker 4 (58:50):
Yeah. He was everywhere. They were partying. Everywhere he must
have been. I can't imagine the money he was making.
It must have been epic. I think.

Speaker 5 (59:02):
Hold on You're Right card. They were like thirty minutes
though it wasn't like a quick commercial.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
They would. Yeah, it was a full, full infomercial, no doubt.
I think he sat through a couple.

Speaker 5 (59:14):
Well, yes, sure, Young Max didn't have the internet, right,
I got an imagination.

Speaker 4 (59:19):
Good for you. I think he's like hiding somewhere. Oh,
like he can't be Is it extradited? Is that what
you say?

Speaker 10 (59:27):
I think, yeah, it's something like that. He's hiding somewhere
because there was a documentary I think it was maybe
Hulu on him. And yeah, he's got all kinds of
these charges from like everything you could think of that
goes with that line of work.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
And I think he's hiding and it might be Mexico
or something. Yeah. On Black Friday, the Power Trip Morning
Show is going to be at Mall of America from
seven to nine with giant prizes involved trips and stuff.
It's gonna be awesome. Hell yeah, that's a week from tomorrow.
But here's free ADVERTI for them, but I wanted your
opinion on this. Craft is putting out a limited edition

(01:00:04):
Everything Bagel version of their classic Mac and Cheese. It's
available starting on Black Friday. That's like all the rage
now everything bagel everything. Anybody hearing everything bagel season Yeah,
toast with this seasoning on the top. It's good.

Speaker 10 (01:00:19):
Yeah, It's like the one thing my wife craved when
she first got pregnant was everything bagels, and she just
loves them.

Speaker 4 (01:00:26):
Uh yeah, I'm not.

Speaker 10 (01:00:27):
I just like plane, but yeah, I'm not like die
Hard and cheese season I mean, yeah, sure, mac and
cheese is good.

Speaker 12 (01:00:35):
Mac and cheese off the floor would be good. Yeah,
I'm sure. You just make some normal mac and cheese
and put the seasoning on top of it's good too.

Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
The same thing. Yeah that we're doing this hand motion too.
Tommy's Tommy's running back. Tommy is a texted any of us.
It's going to be available on Walmart dot com for
a suggested price of a buck fifty eight. Perfect. That's
pretty good. Pre sale apparently starts Monday, but then you
can get them on Black Friday resale.

Speaker 7 (01:00:57):
I get, we're going to pre sale. It gotz for
dollar fifty eight. Come on, New call of dude. The
people camping out for everything bagels?

Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
Is that good? Is the new call of duty? Good? Yeah,
that's good.

Speaker 5 (01:01:13):
Everyone's raving about it. Even people that were down on
it for a while, everyone's saying that it's great that
it's back.

Speaker 4 (01:01:18):
Zacho loved it so much he brought his PlayStation to
Las Vegas. Good for him. There's nothing else to do there,
right ye PlayStation. Uh. There's a trend right now on
social media where people are sharing the times that they
totally changed their opinion about a celebrity, the specific moment
where you went from liking him to hating him, or
hating him to liking him. Do you have something that

(01:01:40):
stands out where you're like, I know exactly the moment
that I started liking blank and I used to hate him.

Speaker 5 (01:01:45):
Kanye West said was it was a series of moments,
but that's a very good one. I used to There
were so many times I took the sword out of
the stone and defending Kanye West honor on the internet
and otherwise.

Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
And I loved him.

Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
He was my favorite rap were alive, And then there
was just it was, I mean right around like twenty
sixteen or so twenty fourteen, and he just started going
way downhill and I couldn't support him.

Speaker 10 (01:02:09):
Think about Kanye West and the guy that I'm about
to mention is also terrible. But when Alex Jones think
you've got thinks you've gone too right. You have done
and said some terrible things. Seriously when they I think,
wasn't he on his podcast?

Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
And Alex Jones is like stop saying that?

Speaker 5 (01:02:26):
Yeah, even Alex Jones like, dude, all right, come out man.
Then you know you're yeah, you've got off the deep end?
What about you, Carl.

Speaker 4 (01:02:36):
Hmmm. I feel like it's happening more and more as
I get Oh.

Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
I don't know if it's just me getting older or
us just being exposed to celebrities more, but I do
feel like I am enjoying some people that I used
to enjoy a lot less.

Speaker 4 (01:02:50):
Yeah, because they're private lives are as private is right.
That's a great point. I think it's so much easier
to go from liking somebody and then you see some
stuff on social media or things that they say in
the press, and you're you start to dislike them, and
you're like, it's just not my kind of person. I'm
trying to think of the opposite though. I'm trying to
think of somebody that I didn't like. That's what I
was trying to think. And then they did something where
I'm like, this person's way more talented than I thought,

(01:03:12):
or this band is way cooler than I thought.

Speaker 9 (01:03:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:03:17):
Draymond Green is one of those. For me.

Speaker 12 (01:03:19):
I used to like hate Draymond because I was a
big lebron guy, all the kicking and all the nonsense.
And now it's like, I love listening to his podcast.
I think he's a tremendous basketball player.

Speaker 4 (01:03:28):
So sure.

Speaker 5 (01:03:29):
Yeah, I grew up hating Kobe. I despised Kobe really yeah.
I hated his guts. I mean he was always busting
the Timberwolves.

Speaker 7 (01:03:36):
Ass.

Speaker 4 (01:03:37):
He's just good at everything. Look at me, I'm Kobe,
I'm good at everything. The Tyra Banks.

Speaker 5 (01:03:42):
But eventually I just realized that I hated him because
he was great, because he had fine women with them,
so I started loving him.

Speaker 4 (01:03:49):
Jealousy is a bit, Yeah, I don't know. I have
to think about that. It's definitely not Jared Letto. Yet,
I still don't like Jay. He well yelled at me,
Oh no, what you got a text? What about Jay Leno?
Tommy said, uh, yeah, I mean I don't like Jay.
I didn't. I never thought Jay was funny. I used

(01:04:12):
to watch him because I waited for Conan. I loved Conan.
Conan's a goat, and then the way that he handled
the Conan situation will make me hate Jay Leno basically forever.
But actually happened to Jay Leno's face? I don't know.
Maybe hopefully Conan got revenge? Is the question you asked,
who did you hate and now love? Or love and
now hate? Tommy wrote.

Speaker 10 (01:04:34):
Leo and Titanic Matthew McConaughey in Made in Manhattan and
uh uh.

Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
Jake g and broke back, which he understands the question.

Speaker 10 (01:04:53):
I think he thought you asked their hottest moment Made
in Manhattan?

Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
What core is there?

Speaker 14 (01:05:00):
Think?

Speaker 5 (01:05:00):
Okay, everybody think of the celebrity you like the most,
or one of the celebrities you like the most.

Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
Is there anything like for you for Conan? Is there
anything Conan could do?

Speaker 14 (01:05:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
Yeah, of course all the crime? Right, Well that's the thing. Yeah,
I mean there's some Look, this is what we talk about.
All that, you know, cancel culture is real because think
there's there's things he could say that I'd be like, oh,
dear god, he's an a hole. Yeah, I didn't know
he was a psychopath. He's not the dude seems to
be the nicest guy ever, and he's a genius. He
went to Harvard. But anyway, but sure, all the obvious ones,

(01:05:32):
whether it's you know, you beat your wife or yeah,
sexual assault allegations, right, all those are the obvious where
you're like, oh, god, dang it, this guy sucks now man.
But otherwise, like if he made seven thousand bad movies
in a row, I'd still say he helped form what
I thought was funny when I was a teenager. Right,
that's not gonna change. The rest of his career could

(01:05:54):
be a disaster. He's still the goat and he co.

Speaker 10 (01:05:57):
Wrote wrote one of arguably the best episod So did
the Simpsons ever and they have about one hundred a
plus episodes, the Monoail episode.

Speaker 4 (01:06:06):
He wrote that, Yeah, all right, last one for me, last,
but not least again. You guys eat like normal people.
Tell me if this does anything from you or for
you saw us. The McRib returns on December third at McDonald's.

Speaker 10 (01:06:18):
Right, this will shock you. I've had it one time,
and it was in the mid nineties when the Flintstone
movie came out. That sounds right, that checks out? Yeah, well,
you know, who loved that film, Probably no hawk Hawk
loves the Flintstone movie.

Speaker 4 (01:06:33):
